POWER TRAIN:AXLE ASSEMBLY:AXLE SHAFT

Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain model year 2012-2014 Ford Edge and Lincoln MKX vehicles manufactured September 2, 2010, to November 30, 2013; 2013-2014 Ford Taurus and Lincoln MKS vehicles manufactured August 25, 2011, to November 30, 2013; and 2013-2014 Ford Flex and Lincoln MKT vehicles manufactured September 12, 2011, to November 30, 2013. In the affected vehicles, the halfshaft retention circlip may not have been properly installed, and as a result, the halfshaft may move outward and disengage from the linkshaft while driving and without prior warning.

I do not write reviews.... but I had to make the time to share my overall recent GM dealership experience and wish I would have read something like this before all the nonsense I went through with all of the others....Don't waste your time with any other GM dealers in the area! I went to all 6 GM dealerships from McHenry County though Lake County and not one of them even came close to the honesty & professionalism of their Team Members. In addition to their top notch ethics - they also extended us great pricing on our new car! Save your time, your gas, and the stress & aggravation in trying to deal with any of the other guys - I tried and found out the hard way... These guys have your back and the trip over to see them will prove the accuracy of this A+++ rating. I don't know about any other reviewers - but this is a review you can fully trust!

We bought a 2 yr old MKX after owning Japanese cars for 16 years. So far it's better than we imagined in all areas. Powerful, smooth, quiet with all of the features we could ask for. We love this car. All of the complaints we've read on line were just not our experience.
