Bought a pre-owned 2014 Honda Accord V6 EX-L last week. The good part: The car looks very stylish with LED elements, and the exterior design is timeless and future proof. The V6 acceleration is a lot of fun in a family sedan. Hwy MPG is quite impressive for a v6 at above 30mpg. The perforated leather seats are comfortable and the passenger space is very roomy. There is a lot of soft touch materials used at the right place. The active noise canceling works well for when engine speed is between 1000-3000rpm. | Now onto the quirks: Compared to 8th Gen honda accord which I owned, the storage area on the center console (below AC control), as well as under the arm rest has reduced significantly. The bluetooth works half the time, and when it stops working, you have to turn the car off to restore the BT functionality (it would not take calls or play music after it freezes). Gas mileage in city is always less than 20mpg. The automatic transmission also feels kinda jerky when accelerator is fully pressed. The power doesn't fully kick-in till 2-3 seconds later (after a couple jerks from down-shifting). Overall, I think it's a very fun family sedan to drive around with, but I just wish it can be refined better and iron out those software quirks.

The Bluetooth works half the time and cuts the speaker and mic mid call, forcing me to randomly hang up on people, but not with the steering wheel controls. Oh no, not with those, because when the sound randomly cuts out, none of the buttons work and the call screen just stays there taunting me until I turn the car off or turn off my Bluetooth on my phone and then hit buttons randomly until it unfreezes. Either I have to deal with it until my destination or use my phone while driving, which I was trying to avoid by getting a car with Bluetooth. And when it does work, the speaker and mic are so terrible I can barely have a conversation. Plus, the road noise is so loud I'm often asked if my windows are down by people on the line. The lumbar support is ridiculously low, by at least 4"s on me. The media controls are so far away I have to lean forward in my seat to reach them, which is at least a break from the horrible headrest that forces my neck forward by about 45 degrees. The seat just moves weird too. After over 2 years, I still can't settle on a comfortable position. And it has the turning radius of an 18 wheeler. That combined with the inaccurate back up camera caused me to curb my wheels more than once. I drive dozens of different cars daily and haven't hit a curb in years. I gave up using my car port since it's too narrow to turn in to unless the spots opposite are empty. It has enough space in the cabin for passengers, which is a plus, but it feels excessively bulky. Back to the rearview camera, the guides that are supposed to show you the trajectory of you car, are off by at least 12". Backing up straight, the curbside lines are way too narrow, which defeats the whole purpose. I'm guessing no one told them that the lines are actually meant to serve a purpose? I'll help them out, it's supposed to help you avoid obstacles AND show you accurate clearance so when you're trying to park just so far from a curb you can aim appropriately. You're not supposed to show them they are a foot from the curb when their wheel starts grinding on cement.

I use the car for work and drive 30K a year! I have owned several CVT vehicles before this and this by far has the worst CVT I have ever owned. Car shutters until warmed up and I recently lost reverse until warmed up. Honda dealer replaced the valve body in the CVT as that is Hondas fix for the Accords and CRV's with this issue. This is a common problem in the 13-14 Accord and CRV. I now have reverse again however the shutter is still there. Besides the CVT its a great car! This is probably my fourth or fifth Honda and up to this car Honda for me meant reliability and resale. This will be my last Honda as the reliability is a real concern. I just bought my wife a 16 Pathfinder Platinum as the Pilot Elite has known transmission issues as well. Sorry Honda you lost me as a customer!

Great car with excellent mpg. On a recent trip to Canada we averaged 38mpg. The only minor complaint that I have is the passenger front seat is uncomfortable on an extended drive. I had hoped the cabin noise would be quieter with less road noise.

Just purchased a Honda Certified pre-owned 2014 Accord Sport with the 6M transmission. I have only had the car for two weeks but I am very happy so far. This car is my daily driver for my 60 mile round trip commute. The Honda is replacing my 2008 Mazda 3 Hatchback (2.3 liter 5-speed manual). I loved my Mazda but wanted something a little more refined and still sporty. The Accord Sport has delivered on both. Definitely a more quiet, refined ride yet still sporty. Several magazine tests show the Accord Sport with the 6 speed manual is capable of a zero to sixty times in the mid to high six second range. That is a full second faster than the Mazda 3. The Accord has a great shifter and the 2.4 liter four does rev out nicely (and sounds good). So far the combined fuel mileage (per the on board mpg indicator) is 29.8. The EPA combined estimate is 28 mpg for the Sport with 6-speed manual. I have seen 34 on the highway. This is on par with my Mazda 3 so I am happy to have a larger more refined car with as good or better fuel mileage. The interior is nice and feels well made. The driver seat is comfortable for me (5'8" \ 160lb) and has a lot of adjustment. The steering wheel is both tilting and telescopic so finding a good driving position is quite easy. It has a dual zone climate control and the ac cools very well. The audio system sounds good and Bluetooth links easily to my LG phone. Pandora plays well through the Bluetooth link. The Accord is much quieter than my Mazda 3 so that is a nice change. It just feels like a more "grown-up" car. Obviously I can't speak to reliability yet but based on previous Honda products I have owned (1993 Honda CBR 1000F, 2003 Honda AquaTraxx, 1991 and 1995 Acura Legends) I feel confident that reliability will not be a concern. My Sport is the black onyx and looks very sharp. To me the Accords look much better in person. Pictures don't seem to catch all the lines and compound curves of the body.

Good mileage in town or on highway. Great handling and responsive for 4 cyl. Road noise very pronounced at higher speeds on interstates especially on concrete pavement. It would be a No. 1 car if Honda could quite it down. In fact the whole honda line including Acura have the same noise issues.

This car is simply amazing, I'm pretty much in love with it. I sat in the front, the passenger, the back seats, all the seats are extremely comfortable. I really do not know what all the complaining is about. I am 5'10 and 200lbs of medium muscular build and this car fits me perfectly. The performance of the car is amazing. The engine puts out intense power for its small size and fuel economy is still at 40mpg when you are driving it properly. The "Eco" button is great. The car holds the road very stable and the suspension is a smooth ride. It feels like a caddilac. A little rougher over bumps and stuff than I expected but that is probably because it still has factory tires. Someone said the trunk is small. Sorry guys, this trunk is utterly massive. You could literally fit two grown adults inside it and have room to spare. Someone complained about folding seats. As far as I am aware my back seats do not fold down at all. This isn't an issue for me. The interior is so spacious, luxuriant, and aesthetically attractive as well as utilitarian and useful, that I simply could not ever criticize any one thing about it. Everything down to the spring-loaded cupholder that "hugs" your cup so that any size cup fits it. The rear windows are positioned so well and so large that checking my blindspots or seeing behind me could not possibly be any easier. The shifting is liquid smooth when you do it properly and the steering response is incredible. I have driven over 3,000 miles now and these are literally the only two complaints I have: There is no gear indicator. Is this really necessary? No. Would it be nice? Yeah. But who cares. I cannot adjust the brightness on my instrument panel (Tach, speedo, etc.). It is available on some models, but apparently not mine. This makes no sense to me. So, for all the things that you could complain about in a car, the seats, the performance, the price, the interior, any of it, I literally could only find two infinitesimal and non-issue things to complain about. Buy this car today.

50,000 miles and still the best

Update - lease was up so it is gone now- but still the most economical, trouble free car with a dash of fun I ever owned. But you can't get up trims with the manual transmission so now I have an Infiniti Q50 3.0 twin turbo AWD. I did a review at about 15000 miles and now I have over 50000 miles on my 2014 Accord EX so I thought I would share an update. As far as the engine and manual transmission, both are still silky smooth and gas mileage easily exceeds the EPA estimates. The interior is holding up well other than the clutch pedal which has worn through to the metal on one side. I replaced the OEM tires at 40000 miles with softer rubber and the ride vastly improved, the original tires were bias towards fuel savings and also didn’t have the road handling abilities of the replacements. On the outside she has acquired a bit of road rash, but nothing that is the fault of the car. Overall, I still highly recommend the 2014 Accord Ex with a manual transmission. The combination of performance, gas mileage, room can’t be matched. The car is a great value. Oh, and it’s never been in need of a single repair or recall.

this is a green car. I love the sporty look and the interior is beautifully done. The only complaint I have is that there is some road noise which makes it hard to hear music especially on long-distance trips. But overall this is a great car!

Driver's Seat is Torture!

Just search "Honda Accord Uncomfortable Seats" on the internet and you'd be amazed at all the sites and forums that pop up, from the 2008 to the 2015 Accord.To be fair here are the Pros: Looks sharp, runs smooth, has great gas mileage, and I'm sure is super dependable, although I don't plan on owning this car for much longer. I've only had it for 3 months and I'm already looking to trade it in for a Toyota Camry, because.....Cons: Why did Honda think a crappy, easily stained beige interior, and covering the doors with that same crappy cloth interior was a good idea? The placement of the climate control buttons and infotainment isn't laid out intuitively. Make sure you have all your climate settings and radio/cd/ bluetooth all while in park because adjusting the right temperature and/ or defrost can cause a big distraction while driving. The trunk is relatively small for a family of four and the rear seat folds down in one piece, rather than split. Now here are the biggest Cons: The driver's seat: It is so poorly designed, the back and bottom sink in, causing my back to form a "C" shape, and the head restraints force my head too far forward. No, I did not pick up on this discomfort after the 30 minute test drive, or even the few weeks of ownership. But after several weeks up until now, the pain has become unbearable. I can't drive more than 20 minutes before the pain sets in. I've tried almost everything, from ergonomic back and butt cushions, and have even spent over $500 reupholstering the driver's seat and adding foam to the seat and back at a shop, and all that has done was shift the pain from one part of my butt, back, thighs, to other parts. I never knew what "Piriformis Syndrome" was until I owned this car. Look it up. I've owned close to 10 cars in my 28 years of driving, and this Accord is the only car to ever give me back problems. Here is the biggest Con: Honda Corporation and Honda of Morgan Hill in California. After I stated my problems with the seat, all Honda Corporation could tell me was "I'm sorry your feeling this discomfort, but unfortunately, Honda won't do anything about it", and Honda of Morgan Hill, "Why don't you trade the car back to us for something more comfortable?" Seriously, why don't I just crap 2 to 3 thousand dollars out of my butt and hand it to them? That's the loss I'm going to take on a trade in, so I might as well give it to Toyota, or even Hyundai. So all in all, screw you Honda. It's unfortunate that an otherwise great car is ruined by a badly designed driver's seat, a seat that has been a problem since 2008. It's obvious you do not listen to your customers. Once I unload this car, I'm never getting another Honda again.

While the car is not bad, there many things which are extremely cheaply made. My car just past the basic warranty started to have trouble with rear door actuator. Honda wants $300.00+ to replace it. I had many different cars with power doors like Mazda, Toyota and Nissan and never had so many annoying problems. I should have paid the $500 more and bought the Toyota Camry. There is a reason why Toyota's are rated excellent by Consumer Reports and Honda's are average. The old saying applies here that cheap becomes expensive. Also Honda does not stand behind it's product. The actuator issue is not new, they even settle a class action suit for millions of dollars. It was on a different vehicle made by Honda, but I am sure that the parts are made by the same manufacturer.

Make sure you know all the feature you are NOT getting. Car is excellent but some features that would usually be expected because of other features are not there. For example the care has a backup camera but does not have XM radio.

everything I wanted - a coupe that rides like a sedan, trunk big enough for 3 golf bags, rear seat folds down to transport longer items, sun roof, seat warmers - love most everything except the paint is BAD - flakes off and chips easily, even in weird places (like around the rear window, inside the jams, etc.) If it weren't for the paint just breaking my heart every time I look at it, I would love this car. the factory rep from honda was super nasty to me, and didn't even consider my claim. Not a good experience for my first brand-new car. I won't do it again.

The car is like a crackerjack box on wheels. Very difficult to enter or exit the car. Very, very poor condition of car for delivery. Delivery condition of car was very dirty. Dealer did not tell us that the car had 85 miles on it intil the paper work was signed. Got rid of the car March 31, 2016. Bought a 2016 Toyota Camry. Did not hesitate to get rid of this vehicle as soon as I could. Again, Very little dealer support from Sunnyside Honda.

10/16/2016 Update: I have now had the car to my dealer 3 times. The last was with the assistance of the factory rep who admitted to just having a similar complaint within the past week. The hesitation/stalling has not improved (since i wrote my first review I have seen this problem described as "stalling" and I thinks it fits). I have reduced my "safety" stars to three because I just don't believe the car is safe. I also reduced the "miles per year" number because I don't drive the car if I don't have to. I have another vehicle. The last comment from my dealership was "whatever it is doing...it is normal for the car". I will trade this car in as soon as I can afford to. First, about the performance. There is something wrong with the acceleration when you have been coasting before merging into traffic. When you try to accelerate nothing happens! My dealer says unless I can demonstrate it they can't help but it doesn't always do it. I've seen other complaints about it but the best my dealer service person would say is that customers have told him if you roll through a stop sign and then hit the gas it hangs up for a bit. Well, it sometimes does the same when you are merging. I almost got rear ended by the guy behind me when it happened the first time. Now I don't merge unless there is a huge gap for me to merge into and I'm worried when I do it. Most of the people who complain feel it is the CVT transmission that is the problem and I agree. Now for the head rest. After I bought the car I realized that the head rest was causing me to get a neck ache as it is too far forward. The parts man at my dealership told me he couldn't drive his wife's Accord for the same reason. I tried to find an upholstery person to fix it for me but no one wanted to touch it. I finally I opened it myself and used my wife's carving knife to shave the foam rubber down and stitched it up with mono fishing line. It was a shame to have to do that but Honda (I called Honda customer service) wouldn't help me so I had no choice. At least my dealer parts man tried to help. The head rest was made by two manufacturers so he ordered the other one for me but it was the same. I think he was hoping that would work so he could do the same for his wife's car. By the way, this problem also occurs when parking. If you turn into a parking space and realize you aren't straight enough and have to back out and go forward again, the car may stall and then suddenly surge forward so I don't park where there is a curb or concrete block in front of me for fear I might hit it or worse yet go over it. Now for the tech stuff. The email & texting features don't work. They don't tell you that only certain cell phones will work with the system when you buy the car. I am sorry I purchased this car. I also have a 2008 Honda CRV which is a great car (including the head rest) but it also now comes with a CVT transmission. I won't buy another Honda.

First I should say my wife and I are pretty happy with the car. The fuel economy, standard features, overall performance are great for the price range. However the check engine light comes on about every 750 miles for a "evap canister" that is plugged. The dealership always says it is because I drive gravel roads. Well my house is 1.25 miles off of pavement. So I drive 2.5 miles of gravel each day. That in my opinion is a design flaw. So if you lived more rural than me...become friends with your honda service manager.

I bought this car based on price, room, and fuel economy. I commute over 100 miles a day for work. The fuel economy is excellent for a car this size. It doesn't feel slow at all and averages around 33 mpg. The engine is smooth when raving, but does idle a little rough when cold. It is direct infected, so that isn't a surprise. The car has good looks for the price. For just over 20 grand it has Bluetooth, dual climate, leather wheel, back up camera, and paddel shifters. What I don't like is the noise from the tires. Within 35000 miles I am forced to put a new set of tires on this car. All four of them are cupped and drone enough to drive you crazy. I'm not expecting the car to be like a luxury car, but it shouldn't sound like a jeep riding on mud tires either. I check tire pressure religiously and rotate at oil changes. My other complaint is I can't seem to ever find a comfortable driving position. I find myself constantly adjusting the seat. I am a tall guy at just over 6'2'' and the steering wheel always seems to be covering half of the speedometer also. That is unless I act like I am driving a bus. The speedometer is just way too large and the 45-85 section is the part I can't see. You know the part that is going to get you a ticket. I am constantly tilting my head to see how fast I am going. It's not a horrible thing, but really gets annoying after a while. The seat back that only folds as one piece I don't understand either. I took the car sking and it was quite loud with the whole seat folded down. I guess going sking with more that two people in a four door car is out of the question also without the purchase of an expensive roof top ski rack. I live in Vegas, so the handling has always been good, but in the snow that isn't the case. I had to have a friend come get me less than 800 feet from the hotel as I watched front wheel drive cars pass me. I am pretty sure that has to do with the horrible tires though. Based on my experiences, I can't say I am a diehard Honda fan like others on this site. There are other cars in this category I think I would choose if I had to do it again.

I am really dissatisfied with my 2014 Honda Accord Sport. It is a nice looking car but totally unreliable. I am the first owner and I decided I needed a new car so I wouldn't have any trouble with repairs are being stranded. A year after my purchase, I noticed that the ignition switch would not engage and start the car. I figured I was "doing" something wrong and tried a couple of times to start the car. My husband brought it into the dealership and they said it was probably the battery (small battery came with car) and that the ignition switch was not the problem and not covered under warranty. The car stranded us and we had the battery replaced. This did not solve the problem. Now it takes me a 5-10 times of trying to start the car. The panel and headlights come on, so does the radio but the car will not start. It has gotten to the point, that I leave my teenager in the car with it running so I don't have to sit there wondering if the car will no longer start. The car refuses to start warm or cold. It is frustrating the heck out of me and Honda Customer Service was of no help. They "apologized" and recommended a new dealer service and then wanted to know if I owned other Hondas. (?) I asked her what does that have to do with my new Honda problems. This will be my last Honda purchase.******After the car refused to start in a supermarket parking lot one Sunday evening, we brought the car in to Honda service department and were "forced" to pay for the replacement of a faulty starter. I argued my point, and they kept referring to their 50K warranty policy even though problem had started 14 months after we had purchased the car and before the mileage. We paid the discounted price and I called the Honda Customer Service line and argued some more, three weeks later I received a full refund for the car repair. I don't like the car, but I'm satisfied that Honda reimbursed for the repairs.

Purchased a 14 Accord EX-L Sedan, traded it in 6 months later. That about sums it up. Was looking for a roomy sedan (3 kids) and the Accord looked great on paper. It was wider and roomier than most of it's competitors (Passat, Camry, Impala etc) and had a stellar reliability history. Add that to the fact it was re-designed in 13, it sounded to be a winner! Got the vehicle for ~$3k under MSRP, I was overly pleased with the car. It was predictable in the fact that it had good resale value, great gas mileage, good maintenance costs of ownership and looks pretty good as well! The safety features were stellar, from side airbags to lane departure warnings and the awesome pass-side blind spot camera. Why did I trade it in so soon (and take a ~$3k hit financially?). It was....meh. Again, nothing against the Accord, it is a great vehicle, it just wasn't inspirational and, in my case, the best use of ~$25k. Ended up trading towards an older Lexus that I absolutely loved driving. PLUS - Good comfort, great interior materials for the EX-L (was actually worth the upgrade compared to the base LX/Sport model) - Great gas mileage, I'd get almost 40mpg on the highway and respectable almost-30 in the city - Roomy inside including the backseat - Good navigation and entertainment package, decent sound system and user-friendly Negative - Other than personal preference....actually not much. Price-wise it is competitive against a 14 Camry XLE similarly equipped (Camry rides plushier) - Car is predictable but uninspiring, it is a functional vehicle without much pizzazz This is based on my personal expectations and certainly my view. The 14 Accord is a great sedan, I can't be overly critical of it. Just wasn't for me.

I purchased this car with 20K miles. I use it as the family do-everything workhorse, everything from grocery trips and around-town errands to long-distance trips. I also have a 2006 Honda Ridgeline for the real heavy-duty tasks and an older Lexus SC430 for weekend fun. The Accord does everything I ask of it. It is reliable, efficient, economical, comfortable, and looks great. I might also add fun to the list, since the Accord Coupe handles very well for an all-arounder, and accelerates well even with the 4 cylinder automatic. I have had a few Lexus and Acura cars, and I would have to say that the materials, fit, and finish of this car compares well with those. There are a few tiny details that could have been done slightly better (such as auto lights, night rear view mirror), but there are also a few features that are above and beyond what you'd expect. The keyless locking and ignition, passenger heated seat, trunk protective liner, lane-change camera, lane watch sensor, and others are examples of things you get but might not expect for the price. Overall, I'd recommend the Accord Coupe as a solid, safe, fun buy. Since it's really the only coupe out there, resale should be solid if you change your mind later.

I use my car all day in my sales job, so I am in the car for many hours per day. This is my third Honda Accord (2009, 2012 & 2014), the reason I trade my cars often is due to my job. Each Accord has improved each time for me, however the front seat comfort has not. I'm constantly adjusting the front seat to find comfort or to change my position. If Honda would fix this issue, they would have the greatest car. I have the Sport model and the front seats have a "cupping-like" affect causing a hyperextension of the back and neck, resulting in muscle soreness and pain, so much so I have had to pull out the head rest and face it toward the rear seat. This solved my shoulder pain because the head rest pushes the head so far forward it was unnatural. Also, to manage my back discomfort I have had to place a bed pillow length-wise to get relief. I also deal with hip pain because of the way the seat joins to the back piece. And cushioning needs improvement. The engineers at Honda seems to model the front seats after a Formula One car or a door gunner in the Millennium Falcon, way too aggressive for normal everyday driving. I am now ready to purchase a new car. I like the Accord styling with it's "BMW like" exterior, but my body can't take it anymore after six years. I tired of taking Advil to ease the pain. With sadness, I now have to leave Honda. I have researched the competition and have decided to switch solely due to front seats discomfort. Why won't Honda react?, They know there is a problem. If they modeled their seat after a Nissan Altima, the Accord would be perfection and I wouldn't be in this position. FYI, I have tried a Subaru Legacy Limited test drive and the seats blow Honda out of the water. I prefer Honda exterior styling, but like I said before my body can't take it anymore. I believe I going to get the Subaru Legacy, besides the resale value beats Honda. If any Honda Engineers are reading this, please take it to heart. Change the front seats to those of an Altima or Legacy, and you will have the greatest car and I will return.

I've had my car for just over a year. I love the way this car performs. It's smooth, quiet, peppy, gets great gas mileage, and is and good looking. BUT I'm a 5'2" female and cannot get comfortable in the front seat! It's hard yet has absolutely no lumbar or side support. I've tried every imaginable configuration including bringing pillows from my house. Body fatigue sets in after only a half hour of driving. Also, the fabric on the seats is horrible. It shows every bit of dirt. It's entirely unforgiving and although I've only had my car for a year the front seats are very dirty. I've tried washing them with upholstery shampoo but they're still dirty. The door handle is another problem; some genius at Honda decided to put cloth on it! So you're grabbing cloth (beige in my case) every time you open the door.

Had the BMW for 13 years and loved the car, but the maintenance became an issue. Bought the 2014 Accord EX with 15,000 miles on it and have had it for 2 years now. Three road trips and daily use. Mileage on the road trips averaged 36...around town it's less as one would expect. The car is more of an appliance than something which elicits emotions one way or the other. That said, the longer I have this car the more I like it. The car has some pleasant surprises which were unexpected. Back up and the right turn cameras are very helpful. We hadn't experienced bluetooth before and like it a lot. Otherwise no real surprises. Things we like: Fit and finish is excellent. It's a bit spartan but everything is where it should be. Well designed and engineered in this respect. Good storage in the trunk and elsewhere. Carries two golf bags sideways which was a criterion. Large information screen for on-board functions. Love the two cameras. As a result, there are no blind spots. CVT transmission is great. I like the 'S' drive function to help brake going down some of the hills and mountains nearby. Bluetooth is a good thing...plays music from my phone, telephone is hands free, and the navigation system on my phone talks to us through the radio. The sound system is excellent...as good or better than the Bose in my daughter's car. Keyless entry and starting function is great. I've left my keys in the car while trying to lock it on several occasions, and it won't let me do so...which I appreciate. Hill stopper works great on the aforementioned hills and mountains. Like the indicator blinkers on the side mirrors Minor Minuses: Seats are a bit uncomfortable on long trips. Road noise. Acceleration is modest at best...but, at the end of the day, it does get up to speed without much fuss. The fold down rear seats don't fully recline. The trunk cavity into the passenger cabin is quite small. Would have preferred a darker seat color or, better, leather. Shows dirt and stains easily.

This car drives nice,"a little stiff on the suspension," but makes up for the stiffness in handling. Fuel economy is great as well. Setting the cruise at 75 on the highway I average 37 MPG, which I feel is great! Now for the bad. I have approximately 25,000 miles on the car and the drivers seat carries the look of 100,000 mile car:( The pandora app is also a hassle. One stereo was replaced and the new stereo is troublesome as well. Freezes like a computer, disconnects during phone calls, and often have to either shut the car off or turn off blue tooth and turn it back on to get the features to work. Definitely is less hands free than I had hoped!

As with every Honda I've ever owned, this car does everything just as it should. It is beyond reliable, incredibly comfortable, handles great, is powerful and yet returns pretty impressive fuel economy for a V6. It turns heads everywhere I go - thanks to the Tiger-Eye Pearl (metallic brown) paint job and the beautiful two-tone leather interior. But more than all of that, I was so impressed by the technology (lane-watch camera, front collision warning, land departure warning) that I actually convinced my partner to replace an aging Hyundai Santa Fe with a new 2015 CRV Touring to get the same (plus even more) safety technology.

I purchased my black Accord Sport as a "leftover" 2014 in October of 2014. As of late March 2015, I have driven the car for 13,100 miles. The Accord Sport is very, very comfortable to drive. (I am 6', 220 lbs.) The back seat is giant for its class. The active sound cancelling works quite well -- reducing fatigue on my long trips. I have never reset the trip "B" fuel mileage calculation. Before winter, the overall average was at 34.3 mpg. Currently, after a very cold winter it reads 30.8 mpg. 95% of my driving is mixed urban. One strange thing, which my son also noticed, the highway fuel mileage is 3-4 mpg lower WITH cruise control than without - even in ECO mode.

Have taken the car in at least 9 times (I stopped counting) for interior noises...in the dashboard, in the doors, in the glovebox. I now have to ride around with the glovebox open...that the only way to stop the ticking sound. Service dept can never replicate the noise so I'm stuck. Glovebox door closed - ticking sound; glovebox door open - ticking sound. You would think they could figure it out, but they can't. I plan to have them remove glovebox door and I'll try to fix on my own. Very nice car otherwise...but that's what I get for switching from Toyota. You spend $25000 on a car and have to drive around with glovebox open... Only 11000 miles at 14 months...because I hate to drive it. Feb 2016 update: the glovebox ticking noise is getting worse. Since the Honda dealership technicians (and service mgr.) claim they cannot hear the noise, there's no way they can fix it. They're very nice about it though. I've actually told them to remove the glove box door, but that seems to open up another can of worms. I think I'll end up going to an independent repair shop and have them remove the door...it's either that or I'll just have to drive around with an open glove box for the next three years. This is depressing...

A lot of people love this car. I bought one based on the test drive and was sorely disappointed. There was a lot of vibration in the engine which extended to the steering wheel. The navigation system was very difficult to use. The front seat was uncomfortable for my 5'3 frame. The worst thing was the noise level. This car was noisy at 45 and horrible on the highway. I got rid of it after four months.

I rent all makes and models of cars for work (I travel quite a bit). I don't work for, or have any affiliation, with any car brand. I can say the Accord (I have a 2014 EXL) was my favorite in the mid-size lot on build quality, engine design, ride, and comfort. It's as if Honda knows this is a big seller car, and so puts in even a little extra engineering thought into their top seller. Paradoxically, yes, the Honda is a toaster in one respect (there are so many out there); however, it's this very reason the car is so well designed.

Got a great deal on the car. I've owned honda civic, toyota camry and acura rsx in the past and this is one of the best cars I've owned so far. I'm very light driver (take train to work) so I've just put over 8,000 miles in last 10 months and it's has been great. Electronic Stability Control worked great while driving during snow storm. So far so good.

I bought my 2014 Accord Coupe in the beginning of November and got a great deal on it. I went looking to buy a black 4-Door with black interior. Left with a white 2-Door and Tan Interior. Seen it and absolutely loved it. And I still do. It has almost 5,000 miles on it now. I regret buying a 2-door but, that's my fault. I had problems with the brakes sticking when I first got it, and I'm going in Friday to have the "shimmy" checked out, that I've had in it sense day 1. This is a great car with great mpg, but I feel the build quality isn't that great compared to my old 2005 Maxima that I had. Already have several rattles, and the electric steering now makes a quiet tick when turning left.

I thought I was going to really like this car, but found it to be uncomfortable with an overwhelming amount of road noise. I'm 5 foot 2 and the seats (slightly concave design at the mid secti) never worked for me, Also the front head restraints pushed my head too far forward, and only were comfortable (tolerable) when I turned them backwards. The back seat covers never fit right (despite 2 replacement efforts) could not repair. The navigations system was useless. When I searched for local restaurants or shops it gave me a listing for restaurants 500 miles away. Lastly the voice recognition interface worked intermittently.

Purchased my 2014 Accord LX CVT new in late October, 2014. So far, they only issue I have had is with the TPMS light coming on with 94 miles on it. Dealer admitted they forgot to calibrate it when it went through pre-inspection delivery and apologized for the error. No problems since that happened. After all of the great Honda incentives, I ended up paying $19,419 plus TTL and took advantage of the 0.9% for 60 months. All of this makes this vehicle an incredible value.

Purchased a 2014 Accord Sport just about 1yr ago. Have put on 16,000 miles so far. Absolutely love the car. Was very hesitant over the CVT but it actually makes the car. Very smooth and great mpg...always average better then what they say it should. Plenty of power and fun to drive. Great package. Highly recommend.

Considered Mazda6, Accord, TLX, Camry and Fusion. Ruled out last 2 for styling and reliability reasons respectively. Based on reviews and idea that I want something not everyone else has, Mazda6 was the front runner. Then I test drove all three. If price was somewhat close, I would have likely bought TLX (traded in a TL) but its a new model(no haggling) so price differential was just too much. Really liked the drive of the Mazda as do most people. Then drove the Accord and was actually surprised at how much I liked the drive and feel. It just felt good on the road and quiet. Not saying it drove better than Mazda, but pretty close. In the end, the Honda reliability and "feel" won me over.

I was going to buy the Accord coupe but the Sport was so much more car for the price. If Honda offered the Sport in the coupe I would have purchased it instead. The 2.4 engine is one of the best 4 cylinder engine made. Don't think it is too small and under power, it's not. I bought this new from a high volume dealer that had the best pricing in the state. For the price nothing comes close. After driving it for 6000 miles I like it more every time I drive it. I picked the CVT over the manual, both have their advantages but I didn't want to shift for the next ten years. The performance reviews for this class, Honda comes out on top. Many reviewer's pick the $6000 more Mazda 6 over the Honda. Update: 27000 miles later and I have no regrets. Got as high of 39 mpg and is rare to get below 30 mpg. This amazes me for how large the car is. Still fun to drive and when put on cruise control down the freeway it is so smooth and refine. This is not a track car but drives sporty in a nice way. The CVT transmission has operated flawlessly and I use the paddle shifters to quickly down shift, it amazes me that it's an economical 4 cylinder engine for the power it makes. I still admire how the car looks and how roomy it is. It doesn't have all the bells and whistles on it but has what most people would need and want. No rattles or weird noises and still drives like the first day but without the new car smell. This is a nice car and I look forward driving it for many more years. I change the oil earlier than what the indicator says, about every 5000 miles even though the indicator says I could go for 8000 - 9000 miles. This is a very good car. Update: 35,000 miles. I'm not sure but I think at times the car is getting faster. I still love this car and think that the value is excellent. The new Sports are even better but is basicly the same car.
