Moving from an Isuzu Rodeo to the Ford Fiesta took some adjustment. Being 5'2" I expected no problems. But even after 2 years, I am still hitting my head on the door edge when getting into the car. Moving from a vehicle I stepped up into to a vehicle I sit down (lower than I am when standing) has been an adjustment. The cargo area is adequate, but have had some difficulty due to being shorter in overall length inside than the Rodeo. With the purchase of bumper to bumper warranty for 6 years has added a lot of peace of mind. It has GREAT value of gas consumption. I only drive about 3,000 mi. per year, and there have been several times I have forgotten about putting gas in the tank, for over a month, when I started with a full tank. Mileage is great. Pick up is great. For a small person, plenty of seat room, and room for my kayaking stuff. I tow a small/light weight trailer that holds 2 kayaks and after putting an extension to raise the connector ball on the hitch, it has been great for trips to the beach from my home about 1 hour away. For a LITTLE car, this vehicle has been quite functional and comfortable. Visibility is good for the driver and others on the road. Runs smooth, quiet, efficient. Upholstery is in great shape even after 2 years of beach trips and lots of sand inside. I have enjoyed having a little car, but look forward to moving up to a midsize SUV in the next 12 months,

Most fun car I've owned!

The transmission has been giving me trouble since I purchased it 7 months ago. I've had it in the shop several times and I'm going to take it back again this week. The dealership said if I drive it 5,000 miles the trams issuing would get to know my driving. It's been over that and still hesitates or slips when I pull out. He said they had about 60 with the same problem. Then why sell it? Ford Focus hatchback 2014.

UPDATE... Owned the car for 10 months now. Husband uses it as daily driver. He's over 6' tall and has no issues with comfort. Lots of leg room up front. Car now has 34K on it and we may need tires for upcoming inspection in November, but so far, so good! We bought ours used at a Mercedes dealer, lol, with 25k on it. Looks and drives brand new. The Titanium model comes with absolutely everything you can imagine including heated seats (LOVE this in PA), and backup camera. The navigation system is spot on and Ford Sync finally got their act together. Recognizes commands like a charm. Opt for the 5 speed manual, and you'll have no worries about Ford's crazy "automatic/manual" shift transmission problems. We get higher than the advertised mileage and love all the little extras, generally reserved for a luxury car. My HUSBAND loves the crazy lime green as much as I do!

I rented this car. The transmission problems that people speak of, they were present in my rental. If I was trying to turn left with oncoming traffic, I would press the accelerator and wait... wait what seems a lifetime, but perhaps about one second... then the car would lunge forward and clumsily across the road. Waiting a second when traffic is coming is downright dangerous, and when the car does start to move it really moves in a scary lunge. Just adding my two cents. It's been about a year since I rented it, but it was so bad I will never forget it!

You have to learn how to drive this car

Okay... does this car stutter when you drive it. No. If you learn how to drive it. It takes time as the car learns how you drive and you have to learn how to drive it. If my wife and I switch drivers it does stutter. It never, ever stutters for me. Not at all. The trick is to be assertive. That doesn't mean floor it. That means to step down a tiny bit harder than you normally would. If you get a stammer you do not back off the accelerator as you would normally do... you press down about 10% more and the stutter will immediately stop. When you accelerate to get onto the highway you want to do that assertively. That means you press down the accelerator to 40% and let the car move through the gears without changing the accelerator setting until you reach 4th or 5th gear. It will be very smooth if you do that. Eventually the car and you will learn and you'll have a smooth ride every time. In exchange for learning how to drive you will get between 40 and 50 MPG on the highway. You will get between 30 and 40 around town. I fill the gas tank twice a month (and it only holds 14 gallons). Yes, you may have been fooled when you bought this car. It does not have an automatic transmission. NO. If you expect it to act like a conventional automatic transmission you will be disappointed. It won't, it is a manual transmission and it absolutely acts like one. If you learn to drive it properly, learn to work with its limitations, you will find it is a nice, little, pretty, INEXPENSIVE car. You have to learn to love it.

RIP. OFF.

This car is a death trap and an embarrassment to drive. The transmission is constantly jerking, grinding, hesitating, etc. This is a common problem that Ford is apparently doing nothing about. It should be illegal to sell a car like this. Of course the fact that the Ford salesman lied to me when I purchased the car doesn't help. Will not ever purchase another Ford. Can't wait to get rid of this piece of garbage.

I have read so many bad reviews on the 2011 and 2012 fiestas and i think the 2014's are alot improved compared to those. My transmission used to be kind of unresponsive and sluggish but a trip to the dealer and a software upgrade made it more zippy and ride and drive like a dream. I kind of lost hope in the fiesta until i made the trip and now i am really satisfied with the car. What you pay is what you get with this car. You get bluetooth with hands free phone support which is my favorite feature to have in any car. Sound system sounds great, i jam in the car everyday and everytime i drive it. Car is pretty comfortable considering the price range. I would recommend this car as long is it's 2014 or above as these are much more reliable, fun, and better looking then the older models!

Moral of the story - It only takes a bit of force in the front end of this car to total it, but it is a fantastic car before that! Just look at the crash test scores for the 2015 compared to the 2014 (didn't require the more in depth tests) on cars.com: "Front, Restraints and dummy kinematics - Poor," "Front, Structure and safety cage - Marginal," "Front, Overall evaluation - Marginal." If that doesn't scare you, then best of luck to you and may you never get in an accident because once you do your car is as good as totaled! Ford should focus on durability because the rest of what they did with this car was great. What I loved about my fiesta: Great handling, Smooth acceleration, Little road noise, Fantastic suspension, Nice entertainment system, Good vehicle feedback (tire sensors etc.), Amazing fuel economy (33-37 year round), and I am very sad to see the car go over such a minor incident! If you love yours be super careful with it!

new fiesta 12.5 worst car ever owned and every part of ford customer relations ,service, finance, and every department in ford I have had the unpleasant pleasure of dealing with .After purchasing car from new to transport foster children and my own relatives children safely to school and there various activities safely. After 3weeks of owning the car it had a intermediate fault, loss of power stalling at junctions and de acceleration it as been returned nearly every month for 15 months and still not rectified .I have been accused of being a liar because a computer says there is no fault showing and I can not drive after 30 years. Child safety is paramount to me. Trust ford they don't care

The front has a fully independent suspension, but rear has only a cheap beam in the back. And the rear bottoms out on bumps. Engine has Zero torque from A standstill when flooring the accelerator. The gas economy is not 29/39. My trip computer at 15,841 miles, says only 17mpg city and 26 on the highway - I challenge Ford to come and look. The only way this car could have ever gotten the epa estimated 29/39 is, in my opinion, with an anorexic, midget, driver and the only thing in the rest of the car including the trunk was a toothpick. lol. The transmission was rebuilt after only 12,000 miles. The grinding noise continues which is the result of duel clutches

This is a commuter car for my girlfriend, we leased it for her to take to school and for us to use for road trips. The best thing about this car that we can agree on is the gas mileage which right now is at 31.2 and the sporty-ness of the car itself. Its very fun to drive even though I don't tend to drive it as much as she does. The biggest downfall to this car is the "quirky" transmission or so its called in reviews. I had one of the scariest moments when I was driving it through an intersection pressing down on the gas ,maybe a little hard but nothing my own car couldn't handle , and the car just would not accelerate pass 10mph. My car has never done that and I find it quite dangerous.

RE: Cap Less Fuel System: Beware -My son had a nozzle at the gas station get stuck in the fill port. The mechanic there had to take the whole thing apart and still could not get the nozzle out! Apparently Ford is aware of this and has a bulletin out. There are certain nozzles you can and can't use. Ridiculous. Had to finally get a pick in there with some twisting got the nozzle out.

This is my first performance Ford I have owned, previously owning 2 large Ford Broncos in the past this is a massive downsize effort for myself. While I am used to the massive amount of space, the Fiesta provides a shocking amount of room even for my bulky size at 5'8" and 220lbs. The Recaro seats are a snug fit and I would recommend any large frame individual including those of you who frequent lifting large objects in the gym to test them out before upgrading. Performance wise I am blown away by the power this little guy has. I have taken several people out in it, and after they finish telling me how cute it is I show them the power leaving them speechless.

You've never driven a Ford like this one!

I needed a small car to commute into the city that was fun to drive and economical to buy & maintain. Previous cars had been Japanese or German, so this was the first American car I ever bought! The ST is remarkably different from anything I'd ever driven before. The 1.6 L turbo is powerful and well-behaved with plenty of torque anytime you need it. The steering is light, but laser-sharp and precise. This car corners like crazy, with almost no body lean, and feels like it's riding on rails. Very nice interior quality for its price range. Very intelligent design, both inside and out. But be forewarned: this car has a race-tuned suspension and may be a lot firmer than what you're used to.

The Fiesta ST is one of most well balanced small cars available! The power is just right, and the handling is nothing short of amazing. There are plenty of cars with more power, but none of them handle as well as the Fiesta ST. I was driving a 2011 Fiesta SES and the handling was pretty good in that, but this car is so much better.

I have an automatic 2014 Fiesta S. There is an issue with the lock/unlock button being in the center of the console. I don't have an automatic lock and unlock key so this can be very hard to unlock the car, then get in and push the button in the center of the console to unlock the rest of the doors. I also don't have cruise control. This should be an option that is automatic to the new cars. Other than that I love the car.

Okay will be putting nearly 500 miles per week on this car. I will wait while you do the math. I did go for the 100k 7 yr. warranty. I wouldn't have bought it if I didn't have that option. I have learned that over 80% of the population cannot drive a stick. Well that is bad for them and awesome for me. If you know how to drive one. Oh you will fall in love with the zippy feisty fiesta! have yet to meet a car that wasn't fun with an auto trans. In fact most cars I test drove didn't have a manny available. I do a lot of traveling and commuting. My morning coffee smells better and my ride is awesome. Its a fun commuter car that will brighten your mornings! Don't pass this one up!!

Purchased this vehicle about a month ago while looking for a small city vehicle with a manual transmission that was easy to learn and fun to drive. I tried the Fiat 500, Mini Cooper, and while deciding to look at American models I noticed that the 2014 Fiesta had a similar front as the 2013 Fusion. After swinging and missing at the first ford dealership, I finally found one and it looked stunning. I test drove it and purchased it on the spot. I got the Sedan SE (looked less sporty) in the candy blue color (I'm not sure why, but it just stood out). So far, I love the car. It has great pickup, easy throws for the clutch, and gets great gas mileage. Not to mention easy parking in the city.

I love this car! UNTIL THE CLUTCH PROBLEMS BEGAN. UPDATES IN ALL CAPS....NOT YELLING. ;-) I got the Blue Candy, Black leather interior and upgaded Sony Stereo. It's zippy and rises to any traffic occasion. UNTIL THE CLUTCH PROBLEMS BEGAN AT AROUND 9000 mi. 40 HW MPG is as advertized. The interior is roomy for a sub-compact. I got the optional rubber floor mats, and they're very high quality. Opted for the tinted windows at Auto Definitions in Claremore, OK and it just looks meaner than before. Responsive steering, braking, and acceleration make this a fun car to drive. We've turned heads and brought men out of a barbershop to check it out! Love the car. UNTIL THE CLUTCH PROBLEMS BEGAN. GETTING THE DEALERSHIP TO LISTEN TOOK MULTIPLE TRIPS AND INSISTING THE MANAGER COME WITH ME TO SHOW HIM THE SHUDDER. Once I finally got them to admit it had a problem, getting parts took months EACH OF THE 3 TIMES THE CLUTCH had to be replaced . My son accidentally totalled it. THANK GOD. I WON'T BUY FROM FORD AGAIN.
