I am a tall man (6'6") and have no problems with entering or exiting the car. There is plenty of leg room for a tall person like myself in the front seats but there is no leg room in the back seats with the front seats all the way back. That is no concern for me as I don't ever expect to have passengers in the rear seats. I took my first long trip of 90 miles the other day and was quite pleased with the ride comfort. Acceleration is very impressive both on the highway and on city streets. Putting the transmission in sport mode really adds some aggressiveness to the driving experience. The interior of the car almost screams luxury with its high quality materials and quality construction and the exterior profile of the car allows it to feel right at home being parked next to vehicles that are priced several if not tens of thousands of dollars more.

I have had this car less than 2 years. I have a 2010 CC 2.0 L Turbo and it has been awful. First, the whole control module went out in the car, which was not covered on ANY part of my warranty- that was $700. Next, the engine blew. Mind you, these engines are awful and I am a responsible adult who does not "rag out" my car. Luckily, that was covered under my warranty. My car has 96k miles on it, and has had nothing but problems. DO NOT BUY THIS CAR.

I bought the car about 2 years ago as a commuter vehicle, and after putting over 50k miles on this car, I can confidently say this is one of the worst cars I've ever owned. The speedometer is 5 mph off (something VW told me was acceptable in their vehicles), the trunk opens when putting the car into gear unless you lock the doors before hand, the car idles incredibly rough when first started, the small engine paired with a turbo makes pulling out into any sort of traffic a game of roulette (due to the lag before the engine responds to the gas pedal), and the air conditioner sensors have gone out twice. The list continues, but the point is this is my first and last VW.

Purchased my CC pre-owned certified with 22k miles from dealer. Brakes failed while driving (bad vacuum booster) after one month. Avoided accident and Corporate said they could not offer any compensation because i did not get into an accident. Three more warrantee-related issues in next four months. Now arguing with corp and dealer to sell back the car, and they insist on only offering trade in value so they can resell at a profit. Although it does not qualify for the lemon law, this car is a true lemon. I have driven most VW models as loaners while CC is in the shop, and one of those broke down while in my possession. So much for German Engineering. Back to Mazda i go.

Let me start by saying I have owned numerous cars; Accord, 2 Sonatas, Tiburon, Corolla, Tercel, Civic, numerous other non desirable cars, and even a VW Scirocco back in the 80's. I would not consider myself a car enthusiast, but rather an average consumer who looks for comfort, style, fuel efficiency, all at a reasonable price. I bought a 2012 Certified Pre-Owned VW CC with 26,000+ miles. I have owned the car for a month and to this point love it! IT is the nicest ride I have ever owned. If you are looking for a distinctive stylish look, this car may be for you. It beats the other more common vehicles around like the Camry, Accord, and Sonata. Very well built car and you can feel it!

2012 CC is not bad but not all about the hype. The tubo is too small for the weight of the car, however the engine combo does produce good gas mileage. spacious and road compliant. stock tires are junk. The drivers seat is not somfortable to me at all. it lacks lower stability. Around an hour and I want out of it but I can race my bike for hours. Smooth road feel solid handling. Here's how bad it hurts. only 20K on a 2012 that had around 7K on it when I bought it. I'd rather drive my 94 Civic Replaced junk Airfilter with full K&N intake increased MPG and power band.

I have driven Infinitis, BMWs, SAABs, Jaguars and Audis over the years and the VW CC really has a nice blend of great qualities from the stylish sheet metal of the Jag to the killer interior and sound system of the Audi, to the fun to drive quotient of the SAAB with their turbo engines to the teutonic road manners of a BMW with the value of the Infiniti. I recently replace the OEM Continentals with Michelin Ultra High Performance Pilot Sport AS-3 tires and they literally transform the car's handling to a level on a par with most sports sedan costing $10K more. I realize how goof the CC is whenever I have to drive something else as a rental or loaner.

2 years and 36,000 miles and it is still fun to drive. This car has spunk and handles well. Have had many comments on the look of the vehicle as it was not readily seen on the streets at first but I am starting to see more and more. Went with black on black and have enjoyed the driving experience.

I wrote an earlier review when I first got my CC in Aug 2011- Now its Almost May 2013 and this car has been phenomenal. I had 2 BMW's prior to this vehicle and I was at first skeptical since I an a huge BMW fan, but the CC has surprised me! I have not had one issue with it, and I get a lot of questions about it- "What car is that?" "Is that a Mercedes?" I get around 31 hwy and 26 city, so the MPG is not too bad. The 2.0 turbo is pretty quick and I tend to drive on the performance side of things, so the CC has met my expectations! Its the black model and it just looks sharp!

We have been driving the CC for 5 months now and we love it! Cruises wonderfully and gives us just enough get up and go around the city to keep things interesting. Gas mileage is great, better than advertised. The 2.0 Turbo is a great engine that seems to perform better than the specs. The styling and quality, inside and out is classy lux for a price much less than similar lux vehicles. I definately like that we have yet to see another CC on the hwy. A truely beautiful car that performs admirably in its class.

I have had this car for 13 months and was enjoying its ride comfort, power and fuel economy when I discovered that it was burning oil at about 15,000 miles. I complained and VW tested it then confirmed that it is burning 0.29 quarts every 1000 miles which translates to 2.9 quarts between recommended change intervals. VW says that is okay, but automotive engineers state that it is evidence of an engine defect. The car is a marvel in many ways, but watch out for the oil burning: VW does not disclose this to buyers until after they have bought the car which I think is a bit sleazy.

and told me that he could put me in a 2012 CC Lux for 50 dollars less than I was paying on my 2008 Passat Lux. Both cars are wonderful but the touchscreen stereo not only sounds better with better bass but it has a port for a sd card. the sd card I use is 32gb thats holds over 2200 songs 800 cds. needless to say I no longer have need for SiriusXm or cds. It also has Hd radio and bluetooth for hands free use of your phone. plus it has 3 year free maintenance.

I test drove Lexus, Infinity, Acura, and Audi. Ended up driving through a VW dealership and was practically forced into test driving a CC. I fell in love...I kept asking the dealer "really? this is a 4 cylinder?" 2 days later I leased my first VW. So far I am liking it (not loving it) I find the thigh bolsters to be a little to firm, and the steering wheel is a little to far from me. It has plenty of power (I drive with a heavy foot). Handling is a little lofty, but maybe I just need more time getting used to it's manners. Silver paint job is a little sloppy, looks like the robot fell asleep in a couple of spots. All in all, this car is a lot of bang for the buck.

As others have said here, both the interior and exterior are of luxury-line quality, and the 4-cylinder performance is a dream. Cornering ability is outstanding, and the ride is very smooth. A definite bonus, also, is that the CC model is a rare gem on the road (almost makes me want to give the CC a bad review so it stays that way). Professional reviews are a little misleading - they widely pan the 6-cylinder model and complain that there's little room in the back. Just get the 4-cylinder and don't shop for coupes when you really need a minivan (duh?).

Purchased on 1/16/2012 and have yet to stop at the gas station to fill up....that includes driving to work on daily basis (10 mi.) and doing light errands most evenings. The 2.0 turbo is plenty of power for this car. I had an 08 Jetta W-burg with same engine so I know it's strengths. The car feels solid, comfortable, and I think it rivals the Infiniti G series, Acura TSX and other entry level Lux cars. The CC is essentially a Lux car without the typical Lux Badge like Audi or BMW. I think this car could probably sell for 3-4k more and still be a fair deal.

Over-all I love this car. However the experience of driving it is one in which you are aware of everything the car is doing. Personally I believe good engineering means the car should feel natural and respond to your inputs the way you intend. This car definitely does NOT deliver in this respect. On the highway is where this car shines as a comfortable grand touring sedan..uh..coupe. In the city it is almost the opposite.

Owned a 2009 Jetta & a 2000 Passat. Loved the Passat liked the Jetta. This 2012 CC is in a league of its own. The special lease program with the sign & drive $0 across the board sucked me in. Then there were additional incentives. I took it home for test drive, impressed with the turbo 4 banger, smooth. responsive, quiet. The interior is real sweet...two tone bucket seats, analog clock, heated seats,6 cd changer,+ more. Elegant and impressive. This is the entry model! VW has a hit...why no visual advertising? It's certainly a lot for the money & not a niche car.

I purchased my 2012 cc r line about a week ago. I had already bought the 2012 jetta tdi for my wife and then I fell love with the r line. I love the kit on the r line and 18" alloys, and I love the fact that its a RARELY seen car. It's a affordable and luxurious car, and very sporty. Alot for the american dollar. It rides really smooth and is a eye catcher. It has a desent acceleration for a 2.0t. Overall I am very satisfied and the tdi is nice too. I'd recommend this car to anyone and to be honest I am a very picky person but I have only good things to say about this car.

I like the car’s slick exterior design--It looks very cool. The interior is nice too as long as you don’t need to seat 5 people. It’s a coupe so the back seats are a bit tight. It’s a great car for someone who needs a backseat and 4 doors but won’t use t often. I’m not sure about the reliability. Within the first few hundred miles the engine started to knock. Also, a screw fell out on the door after I hit a speed bump. I’m leasing and have all service covered so I’m not too worried about it, but beware. more...

I bought this car 2 months ago and have just under 2000 miles on it. I was also considering the Kia Optima and Hyundai Sonata. I do like not seeing many other CCs on the road as I do the Sonata. I have been very pleased with the car so far. I am 6'2" and have 2" of headroom with the seating position I have set. The seats are very comfortable and I think the rear seating is more than adequate, even for 6'ers. Since the CC has a lower ground clearance, it is tougher getting into and out of the car. I have been getting 22.5 -23.0 MPG in suburban driving using a light foot. I am very happy with accel, handling, and braking and do not experience the long brake travel I have read about.

Don't pay attention to the reviews claiming a hard ride. The shocks smooth out around 1500 miles in this car and it's smoother than the BMW 550 and Infinity M. Friends have both and I've been in them on the same bad roads. I have 6000 miles now and it keeps getting smoother. I've experienced that in other good cars too. Very good build quality. The seats are very comfortable and adjustable. Power is adequate, gas mileage averages 27 mpg with half on the freeway. The 19" wheels and tires improve handling and steering and are worth the extra money in my opinion. You'll be happy with this car.

I leased a 2012 VW CC Sport Automatic last month when the dealer offered a deal after the credit check and history..He didnt let me move out of the showroom till 10pm and handover the car to me..Ever since i got the car, the parking lot looks old fashined. It definitely draws attention of the people in my neighbourhood now. I use it for everyday commute to work and gives me a confidence and style quotient. I hardly see any other CC on the highway and its definitely a head turner.. "Neighbours Envy, Owner's Pride" hahahah

Fantastic car!!! I have owned a Jetta TDI (great car) and a Passat (very good car). But in no way do I miss either one of them! The VW CC is so much better than the Jetta or Passat that I barely remember owning them (even though they were solid vehicles). The ride in the CC is super quiet and incredibly smooth. The car is a little low to the ground but that is what makes it look so sleek and gorgeous (neither the Jetta nor the Passat look gorgeous). The VW CC is easily the best car on the road for under 30K!

I miss my Jetta

The CC is a beautiful car, undoubtedly. It's likely the fast pedal and sleek exterior kept me from noticing the incredibly rough ride I have been experiencing since taking my car home 2 months ago. I cringe when I pass over a manhole cover in the city, or god forbid a pothole, OUCH! The car gets decent gas mileage, the interior is impressive and the standard wheels are just so attractive, I just wish they would have nailed down a quieter, smoother ride for city driving. The acceleration takes some getting used to, it doesnt just spring out of the gate- you have to learn to apply the right pressure so you don't jerk your passengers while trying to get to 45 MPH quickly (say, for merging)

I traded my 2009 GTI for the 2012 CC Lux Plus PZEV last week. Initial impressions are pretty good. This is the same engine at the GTI- 2.0T. Interior is very nicely apointed with wood trim and leatherette (I assume this is faux leather?) but quality is fairly high. NAV and electronics are easy to use with the steering wheel controls or console. iPod hookup in the glovebox is nice, and the Bluetooth functionality allows for streaming music from a device - nice if you use Pandora or anything else on your handheld device. Suspension is tight, and with the long wheelbase makes for a decent ride. The exterior design is outstanding- I got the Black paint and it looks classy with the chrome trim.

Wow...On a Whim!

I bought this car on a whim. My wife had just bought a Routan, and on a whim I asked about the CC. Four days later I was driving unsurpassed and unmatched luxury at 30K. Unmatched 2.0T. Unmatched Interior Styling (better than C Class, TL, and Lexus). Unmatched Gas Mileage. Best of all, unmatched rubbernecking as I drive by. Volkswagen definitely hit the nail on the head with the 2012 CC. I can't help but wonder why you would buy anything else. To tell you the truth, I love parking next to "luxury" cars and peeking inside to see what I am NOT missing. I figure it gives them a chance to see what they ARE missing.

Great car alternative to many higher-priced luxury vehicles!

I had been looking for a while and was in the market for an Audi A4, a number of BMW's, Infiniti and Lexus vehicles. I test drove this on a whim (the 2011 Sports model actually) and fell in love. I couldn't believe how nicely styled the car is and how much fun it was to drive. Two weeks later I went out and leased a 2012 Lux model, which added a bigger GPS screen, a harddrive for MP3s and a tilt-only panoramic sunroof. I drive quite aggressively and regularly get nearly 30 MPG. The car is unique and I receive many compliments on it from strangers and have seen only a handful on the road so far. It drives, feels and sounds like a much more expensive car and I wholly recommend the CC.

Simply Outstanding

I've owned an Acura TL, Toyota Camry Hybrid, Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland, and more, but the CC has quickly become my favorite of them all. It has more and better tech than the Camry (and that's saying something), it's more fun to drive than the Acura TL, and it has a richer interior than the Jeep Overland. Truly, this is a vehicle that is more than the sum of its individual parts. It's quick, smooth, comfortable, and offers the technical amenities a geek like me prizes. My real world gas mileage on the hybrid was 38.5 MPG, and my CC is routinely hitting 33-36 MPG and does it with a LOT more vigor and style.

I love looking at, sitting in and driving this car. VW did this one right. I was looking at a Sonata, Lexus IS250, Infinity G35 and Buick Regal and none gave me as much car for the money as the CC. There simply is no finer car for me in the low 30K range.

My first Volkswagen ever; which now has 2,600 miles on it. I have owned a 1992 Corvette LT1 6 speed convertible, 2003 Acura TL, and 2010 Nissan Maxima, and this is by far the best of all. It's sleek, elegant yet sporty, solid aerodynamic body is truly a work of art. Interior is just as stylish and nicely crafted as exterior. The 4 cyl turbo coupled with DSG auto. trans. provides plenty of power / torque with real sports car shifting ability. This is truly a "4 door sports car". The handling and solid feel at any speed, blows away my prev. new 2010 Maxima. The ride is tight, firm, but soaks up bumps and very comfortable. Trunk is surprisingly deep & spacious. No negatives. Simply the best!!!

Just purchased this 2012 VW-CC Sport after trading in my Honda Accord 08'. No regrets so far. I love the CC, it drives and handles so incredibly. I really liked the reliability of the Honda, but it just didn't drive like this vehicle. The VW a classy looking vehicle for the price range, but it is a blast to drive! I'm about 6'4" and there is plenty of leg room. Interior is sleek and well designed. Was totally amazed at the power of the 4 cyl engine, the turbo makes it seem like an V6 ! Braking is smooth and even and when you drive it, it feels like a great fitting suit. I owned a Jetta in the mid - 90's and after an Altima and then a Honda, time to give VW another try. Glad I did!

Owned SAAB Turbos - CC Much Much Better

Having drivern Mercedes and Audis, the CC compares very favorably to both in terms of ride, handling performance and interior features but it tops both in terms of uniqueness and looks and affordability/value. If you are in the market for a Audi A 4 or a Merceders Benz C Class - and you do not care about the emblem on your ride - this car blends looks, ride, comfort and performance. The 2.0 turbo coupled with the DSG auto is far better than any SAAB turbo - I owned a 99 SAAB 9-5 2.3 LPT and a 99 SAAB 9.3 2.0 and while the 9-3 was fun to drive - it rode like a pick-up truck and offered few lux amentiies and while the 9-5 offered a refined ride and lux amenities, it was not much fun.

I have owned a 2004 Audi A4 and a 2006 Lexus IS250, and this is a mach for the Audi and blows the Lexus away. What can I say? This car is quiet, it rides great, it handles nicely, it looks much more expensive than it is, and the 2.0T engine is a very nice compromise between power and efficiency. The engine feels stronger than 200 hp because the power and torque are available at lower RPM. Furthermore, fit and finish are premium class. The leatherette may actually be an upgrade. My wife has a Tiguan with 16000 miles that shows no wear at all on the drivers seat. Factor in the lease deals and this car is a must drive.

CC is an elegantly designed car priced exceptionally well

I took delivery of my 2012 CC yesterday. I have been eyeing this car for two years, since seeing it at the local car show. The design of this Euro sport coupe/sedan was striking, and far ahead of any domestic manufacturer in a similar price range. The metallic Black adds to the striking silouette. This car looks like a leopard ready to leap, even while standing curbside. Yes, the rear seats (2) are not as spacious as my old Mercedes E320. However, the dog never complains about headroom. The interior appointments, and the options on a basic Sport model far exceed what I had on the Mercedes. Dual 6 way power front seats, and a radio that does everything but blow your nose for you! Thanks VW!

VALUE! - AWESOME!

Unbelievable! I love this car! I'm a 59 year old health professional and this is the first VW I have ever owned. After driving it, I was so impressed with the whole car and VW's service of this car, that I bought it! It gets better mileage than my Nissan Altima did, and is 10 times the car! 31 MPG going thru mountains with loads of power and every comfort feature you could imagine that you would normally find in cars costing two to three times as much money. Looks, fit and finish, power, economy for less than 30 grand! Trust me, if your looking for an economical car to fall in love with, buy one!

Oh snap, what type of car is that?!? After answering that question for the 10,000,000th time, it has become the norm. From the beautiful exterior to the luxurious interior, the CC is a show stopper. DVD Navigation that plays movies too, climatronic ventilation, heated front power seats, ambient lightning, fuel efficient, and lots of other standard feature makes this a best buy. I have the LUX Plus trim with two tone interior and if you think the exterior is beautiful, wait till you see how finely knitted the two tone front and rear bucket seats are....absolutely gorgeous!! the interior screams luxury all the way. Overall, the 2012 VW Passat CC is one "beautiful beast"
