BUYER BEWARE OF THIS DEALER!! The following is a copy of a complaint filed with the Better Business Bureau against this dealership:Complaint Description:Salesman misrepresented condition of car & didn't disclose nature of accident damage/details of report when specifically asked on the phone to do so. This car is advertised on the internet as: "All vehicles are inspected and serviced by certified technicians. Visit Credit Cars at 4500 W. Colonial Drive in Orlando, FL or call 407-295-6211 for more information". 12-30-2014: I spoke with the salesman, Odeen Kearse, at length with questions before I came in to view a White 2006 Scion XB, VIN #JTLKT334850198144. I asked if the vehicle was "beat up"? He said the car was clean & was a rental car. I told him other dealers lied to me about the condition of cars before I visited them, & I didn't want to waste my time with worn interiors or beat up body panels. He said the car was in an accident. I asked what type & was the accident in the front or rear? He said he didn't know. I asked if he had a Carfax? He said he had an Autocheck, so I asked him to email it to me. He said he couldn't do that, but could fax it. I don't have a fax, so I asked him if there were any problems on the Autocheck? He said there were "no problems with the Autocheck". I asked him again to verify the condition of the car before I made a long drive there. He said the car was in good condition & clean--not to worry--I would be taken care of. He advised to "be careful because it was raining" while I drove to the dealer. I found the following defects upon inspecting the car: 1.Windshield was not original & the top edge of the roof paint where the windshield meets the roof was gouged & rusted (bad install job); 2.Inside the car, the right upper windshield seal material was poorly installed & dried showing an "oozed out" seal; 3.Overspray paint was on the front grille & both headlights (bad repaint job); 4.Right headlight had chipped paint around it & body panels didn't quite match up (I suspected this was impact area of accident); 5.Other body damage found: Either paint chips or light scratches around LFront headlight, on both bumpers & ALL body panels except RFront & LFront doors, LFront fender, RRear quarter panel, Rside running board; 6.I turned the headlights on-they worked-but I turned them off/on again, & RFront headlight didn't work; 7.Driver's seat belt was severely twisted & wouldn't set properly; 8.All seats & driver's door panel had cigarette burn mark holes; 9.LRear carpet had 7" cut; 10.The jack tool said "03 Kia Spectra" on it (not the Scion XB original jack); 11.Tire lug wrench/jack tool was missing; 12.Head liner was stained; 13.One license plate bulb wasn't working-the other bulb worked; 14.Fuel door would not open--I couldn't check gas cap; 15.Hatch door interior & cargo area had significant scratches. I pointed out these defects to Odeen, he tried to dismiss them & said, "it's a used car" & they are minor issues, but said he would fix the RFront headlight, the seatbelt & fuel door. I didn't look underneath or test drive the car. By this time, the dealer was closing for the night. I asked to see the Autocheck report,& he gave me a copy. I drove home & found the following on the report: A)Overall score=33 (out of 35-58 range); B)5 owners; C)Negative title or other problem(s) can indicate serious damage or other significant problems & disqualifies the car for Autocheck Buyback Protection--detail showed one reported accident with frame/unibody damage in the RIGHT FRONT CORNER; D)Specific vehicle use(s) or events reported--detail showed fleet, rental or lease records; E)Repossessed records--detail showed two title repossessions. I called Odeen the next day with what I found on the report & was irate when I asked why didn't he tell me these things before I came in? He said "As a salesman, we don't go through the report & give details." However, he read enough of the report to tell me it had one accident & it was a rental car. Yet he clearly omitted damaging information on the Autocheck report & misrepresented the condition of the vehicle. He did this all the while knowing I would be driving +80 miles one way on the rain & accident-ridden highways along the way to the dealer in Orlando, FL. Your Desired Resolution:The salesman, Odeen Kearse, asked what he could do to earn my business or remedy this matter? I told him I would never buy a car from him or waste any more time with this dealer. I told him the best remedy he could implement is to not lie to any other customer ever again & promise me that he would answer customer questions honestly with full disclosure about vehicles they are interested in before customers ever visit the dealer. He offered to have me speak with his sales manager. I told him I already wasted a full day looking at this car which entailed me driving +160miles round trip to Orlando on rain slick roads with accidents & traffic on the way to and from the dealer. I asked why would I want to waste more time talking with a manager when the matter was very clearly explained to Odeen? I asked if I was his family member, would he honestly lure me to drive a long distance in the rain for a frame/unibody damaged vehicle that he told me was in "clean" condition? I told him I was appalled that he had the audacity to say they treat customers like "family". He said he understood & apologized. I told him I would complain to the Better Business Bureau (BBB) & would write a truthful review regarding this matter on dealer rating websites. He was very concerned with me registering a complaint with BBB or writing a truthful, bad review. I told him I want others to be aware of this dealer's practices--particularly because they advertise on their business cards & placards that they are A+ rated with BBB; that they treat customers like "family" with "respect" & perform "multi-point inspections". To summarize, this is what I am seeking: 1) An official, written apology from the dealer acknowledging this matter. Specifically, the apology & acknowledgement letter should address: 1A) The true condition of the vehicle (as indicated in my complaint that details visual defects & functional tests) vs. what they verbally represented as a "clean" car with "no problems with Autocheck". The acknowledgment needs to also indicate an accurate summary account of the unfavorable details of the Autocheck report for this VIN#. To be clear, these are the summary of details from the Autocheck report that are indicated in my complaint above. 1B) The dealer's purposeful neglect to disclose details of the car when specifically asked, particularly regarding the Autocheck report. 2) The dealer is to provide to the BBB (in response to my complaint), a full paper copy of the Autocheck report for this VIN#. 3) The BBB is to scan the Autocheck report that the dealer provides for this VIN# & publish it on the BBB's website under this complaint as an attachment to show proof of my complaint. NOTE: I would attach the Autocheck report if I had it in a digital format, yet I do not have it in a digital format. 4) Full published disclosure of complete details regarding this matter on BBB's website under this dealer's name for anyone to review & be forewarned of this dealer's practices. NOTE: When I called the BBB, I was told that as of about one year ago, the BBB makes complaints visible on their website for anyone to review who may be inquiring about a BBB member. Why this hasn't always been the case is quite alarming, since that would, in essence, be protecting the business from anyone being able to see negative reviews on any given BBB member. This case will be reviewed by a complaint specialist at the Better Business Bureau, and then forwarded to the business for their response. It is our policy to allow the business 30 working days to respond to your complaint. You will be notified when the business has responded.

Bought the car new in may 2012. She is a red Sport model with a 5 speed manual trans. The manual trans def helps with lack of power and fun factor. Yes the car is slow (132 hp) but that doesn't bother me. Bought her for fuel economy and reliability and she has been perfect. Currently has 32k miles on it which is considered low miles. Last 2 years have not been driving her too much since i have 2 other cars now. But when i first bought her racked up 20k miles in first year and half. Would do 400 miles a week and go on road trips. Took to AZ from NJ and back no issues what so ever. Thats 5k miles just there. typically get around 30mpg mixed. Best I got was 36 mph highway. I do all the maintenance myself and change oil every 5k instead of 10k. 10k miles is too way to long. Did the air and cabin filter at 25k. Other then basic maintenance that's all i have done. Tires are starting to get low but thats not the cars fault. There cheap tires from the factory. Bridges tone Turanzas. Going to switch to something different when there bald. Again very happy with car and will have for a very long time.

My 2012 Toyota Corolla S lost sound three weeks ago and suddenly. Noting works - radio, CD, or connecting Iphone to the system. The center console is working fine - I can navigate, change FM channels, insert disc - but there is no sound. Took it to the Toyota dealer in Boston (car is being driven in Boston since last November). I was told that that radio has to be replaced at materiel + labor cost of $700. I did ask how can it happen - answer was that it may be due to the heat. Boston has been facing temperature of 92F for the last couple of weeks. I did point out that my other cars in Atlanta - Honda Pilot and VW CC Executive have not faced the same problem though the Atlanta temperature has been 98F and above for the last months. The gentleman did not have any answer. I just walked out without committing to the repair. If that is true, then I will really urge consumers to rethink about buying Toyota Corolla. This problem is widely reported on the internet. One pays lower price compared to the Honda cars with similar engine. But, if the repair cost is going to be like this for Toyota as opposed to Honda, then it is better one buys Honda car. At least it gives you a peace of mind. One does not have to deal with this kind of repair, leave your work and take care of it

This is my fourth Toyota product and I love it. My fuel economy, sleek design , and spoiler , and blutooth tech are amazing. Funny story my girlfriend also has a type s a year newer than mine and she also loves it. We live in the city a mile apart from each other and we both love the car. We both plan on keep our type S's for a long time. You can't go wrong with a car like this.

I purchased this vehicle from a dealership in Colorado Springs a month ago and have already driven it over 2,000 miles. The interior is by no means luxurious, the electronics are simple, and the acceleration is about the same level as a Prius. Non of these things matter to me as I was looking for a dependable, economic and basically a car to get you from A to B. In this sense this car is about as good as it gets. The driving I do is probably tougher then most Americans as I live in the mountains of Colorado and frequently travel up to 12,000 feet and then back down to 7,000 feet in a matter of a few miles, along with constant hills to climb. Despite this I have averaged 34 total mpg. I have even driven from Denver to Moab and back multiple times since owning this vehicle and it drives great. Great car for a reliable A to B ride.

We have owned our 2012 Toyota for about 4 months and it has 50k miles on it. The rear speakers are blown out; the windshield exploded from the inside without any impact and the dealership is refusing to reimburse us for a new windshield; when you turn the temperature control to "0," the fan never completely stops blowing air; something on the passenger side clunks when you hit your breaks and turn left; the windshield wipers were not properly designed to fit the windshield, therefore you can never see out the windshield; the windshield fogs up EXTREMELY BAD and because the windshield wipers don't touch the window, you literally cannot see anything until after the morning fog has lifted.

I just purchased a certified pre-owned 2012 Toyota Corolla S with 30k miles on it. The exterior is very sporty and sexy and the seating is extremely comfy even for myself who has a bad back. The lumbar support is awesome. The ride is smooth and the electric steering needs a little getting used to but it turns well and has a tight turn radius. The transmission shifts smoothly and quietly. It only has 132 HP but it suits us fine for just driving around town and back and forth to work and I average 33.6 MPG with the 4 speed automatic transmission.

For someone on a budget that wanted a "new" car, the Corolla fit the bill perfectly. The cost of ownership is extremely low. Almost zero maintenance required throughout its life. The interior is relatively spacious for such a small car. I don't find anything to feel "cheap" though almost everything is plastic. My interior is black so maybe that helps make it look more classy. The ride quality is superb. The cabin is QUIET and the car soaks up most large bumps. Mine is a 5-speed so maybe that helps with the fun factor. I also have the S model (black exterior) which really improves the car's appearance. I'm VERY happy with my purchase! Don't let these bad reviews put you off!!

I bought this car to get out of my gas guzzler of an SUV in a highlander. I was happy when I bought it but my tires and rims were stolen 3 days later and that just ruined my whole experience with this car. It's great on gas, $30 bucks gets you a full tank and over 350 miles in range. This is an point A to point B car, no more. This car gets no turning heads, jealous looks, except maybe from gas guzzling truck and SUV owners, but that's it. This start to fall apart with the cheap plastics and I had to snap them back into place every single time I got into this car, horrible build quality. Seats were really comfortable for cloth seats.

The car replaced my 25 year old car that was starting to have some expensive issues. I got a really good deal on a lease for this car, but I have found myself wishing for my older car back. The quality of this car is inferior to my older car. I ended up with an all grey car as every other option I asked for was 'not available'. It's appearance is average. There is velcro visible on either side of the dashboard. The doors are block with styrofoam painted black. You can not only hear the road as clear as day, but you can feel every bump. I am also very disappointed in the gas mileage. It is not a great improvement over my older car. The check up was a quick thing and they didn't replace the dollar store windshield wipers that came with the car. Can't really recommend it. Update I ended up turning this car in at the end of the three year lease and getting an SUV from Chevrolet. I did not have any real issues with the car failing during the three years I drove it, but I also put only about 10,000 miles on it. Road noise was bad and gas mileage remained below par. The trunk was very limiting and retrieving anything from under or beside the seats was near impossible. For the price I got, it was a great deal, but we always ended up taking someone else's car as no one really wanted to ride in the Corolla. It was low to the ground and you had to duck to get into it or you would hit your head. I did seek out a new lease on a larger Toyota so I could fit all my nieces and nephews in it, but the prices are quite high for a stripped down model and when asked about coming down in price, Toyota told me how horrible the Chevy is and how unhappy I would be and that I should have accepted their first offer of $100 more than I ended up paying for my current car. Actually argued with me. I left and won't be getting another Toyota. The major difference I noticed was that when I went in to Toyota for service, they just took my car and handed me a print off of stuff as I left. No one explained what they did or if there were any issues. They were confused when I asked and hurried me out each time. With my current car, they service it and explain exactly what they did and why and answer any questions I have. If you are looking for a very basic car made from cheap materials, then this is your car. It works great as a commute car. If you can get it cheaply enough, it should do the job.

I can't believe this. I have been royal toyota customer, I always trusted toyota's reliability until now. I have 1999 toyota sienna and I had 94 corolla and those cars have been wonderful even though they are old and high mileage on them. So I purchased another corolla. Yesterday, I went to another city (about 80 miles away from my home town) and this 7 month old 6500 miles corolla just quit on the express way. Check engine and trac off light on and no response from gas pedal. I was almost killed by other car. I had to tow 80 miles. And this morning toyota care towing car came and made big mess on my interior with lots of dirty oil mark all over the door. Big disappointment!

Test drove the Elantra, Mazda 3, Sonata, Fusion, and the Mazda 6 before going Corolla again. Eight months old and just hit 20K on the odometer for my '12 base model. The car has zero issues, and is a great commuter with occasional long trips. My other Corolla is a '03. As it should be the '12 is noticeably quieter, comes with ESC and ABS not on the '03. Its basically same engine, but '12 seems tuned for more power -- as the '03 would have noticeable power drop when using AC. Even with more power, regularly getting 33 to 35 average MPG on each tank full on the 2012.

I bought my 2012 Corolla LE brand new off the lot with 30 miles on it. I have owned it six months, and have put 5,000 miles on it, and have encountered zero problems. It has done what it was intended and built to do, and that's safely transport me from point A to point B. These Corolla's are designed to go for a long time, and present safety and superb reliability. And that's exactly what a Corolla does. They aren't comparable to their "sister car" the Camry in any way because they don't have any of the luxurious qualities a Camry does. I think that's why they are reasonably priced. As far as safety is concerned, a Toyota will always be one of the safest vehicles on the road.

The design isn't my favorite. I guess the Toyota designers are the first to built the very first ugliest car in the world. I hope the reliability remains the same as in the past. But comparing my former Corolla '96 to the 2012...I can say the old one was much more better. I regret to not taking the time to repair my old Toyota (very friendly drive and also much more confortable) and getting the newest (awfull) version.

Bought this corolla for 0 percent financing for 5 yrs! Plus edmunds.com gave me a $750 check for buying this on top of any and all deals!!! out the door for @$14k with auto and air/ pw/locks/cd,ect...Now I got 7000 miles on it and get 33.4 mpg ave. I drive 80 miles a day up a mountain road and this car flys. I put aftermarket wheels and tires on it and that really improved the handling. Go up to 225/16/65 size and it really makes difference. Engine is smooth, car is a delight, nice and quiet, but will scoot is you rev up to 4 grand.

I was in the market for a new sedan as a second car to our family's minivan. I never liked the corolla before and had Jettas and Civics in the past. This time we decided to test drive every comparable model (Corolla, Jetta, Mazda 3, Sentra, Civic, Cruize, Accent and Rio). All very nice, similar prices, sizes and specs. The Corolla was the last one we tested, as soon as I got behind the wheel I felt at Home, yes maybe an outdated dashboard but after the ones from the Civic, Cruize, Mazda and Accent (they all reminded me of Video Game Consoles), this one just felt right. It is the most quite of them all on the road, simply said it is a Lexus and I am very happy. Power is excellent

The Corolla still beats the competition. Quality is superb; reliability is well documented. At 34 MPG on the road, figuring $4.25 per gallon, the loss of savings in gas compared to a 40 MPG car is $1,200 over 100,000 miles. The competition is charging thousands more than the Corolla; you will never really save money! The brakes work great, the ride is great; the performance with the automatic transmission is fully acceptable. My Ford and Chrysler cars failed me miserably. I will stay with Toyota. Join me and 100,000 miles from now you will be glad you did too. The "bells and whistles" the competition have will not be much comfort when their car breaks down. Toyota still rules.

Although my gut told me not to buy a Toyota especially after the sticky gas pedal/brake fail issue with them I went for the Corolla because it fit my budget. Last weekend I drive it to Ohio from DC (a one way trip of 450 miles). Things started to get bad as soon as I got outside of the city. The handling of the car is foamy at best. I believe in comfort but when it comes at the expense of not having confidence that the car will make the turn at highway speed, it is not pretty. And then there were the brakes. I decended a few hills and I smelt something burning. I pulled over to check but nothing obvious. A little later the brake pedal needed to be pressed very hard to slow down.

We have long been a Ford family however our last Fusion did not meet our expectations due to a lot of mechanical issues and poor fuel economy. After test drives of the Ford Focus, Mazda 3 and Mazda 6, the Corolla was by far my favorite and has been a great car, both in performance and build quality. So far we've averaged around 33 MPG in mostly city driving conditions which helps a lot with higher fuel prices! This car looks great both inside and out and is fun to drive as well. I look forward to giving this car to my son in about six years when he gets his license!

We have been a Toyota family for over 20 years and recently purchased our 7th Toyota. We were pleasantly surprised when we test drove the 2012 Toyota Corolla "L" base model and found that it had power windows and doors. The price is affordable and with current incentives and low interest financing, it makes it good buy even better. Beauty and durability, that's what Toyota offers...

I did my research. I test drove several cars that I was reading rave reviews about - the Ford Focus, the Chevy Cruze, the Hyundai Elantra, the Nissan Sentra (which was worth considering, although darn it no telescoping steering wheel) and others that didn't get the rave reviews like the Honda Civic, which was overpriced I thought and not too impressive... But I LOVED the Corolla S although you pay more for the S, and then I was almost in Camry territory (and same gas mileage believe it or not) but would have wanted the SE which is @5 more Gs than mine... but look at the Corolla. I love it. And I drove them all. gas mileage is AWESOME! get the sunroof for 400 more... I just trust TOYOTA.

I have had my corolla for a little over a week. I love it. the bluetooth feature is nice for connecting phones and ipods. the USB port is nice for charging the aforementioned electronics. The ride is fairly smooth. I'm coming from an SUV so its taking some getting used to. This is my first Toyota and I am hoping to have it for years to come. the dash is a bit dated compared to everything else that is out with that being said it isnt hard to use. It isnt over done with buttons. the interior on the sport is beautiful ( if you like black interior which i love)

This is our 4th Carolla and 6th toyota product. The new Carolla is missing some options previously (automatic lights, cruze control) standard. Our new Toyota does not seem to be as zippy as our 2006 carolla. The fit and finish seems to be better & the ride is less noisy and smoother. We have always had great luck with reliability (none of our toyotas required repairs, just oil changes) & I am sure this new purchase will be the same. While I am sure the Impreza, Mazda 3, Ford focus & Chevy Cruze may be zippier and offer more options it is hard for me to give up the feeling that I have a reliable vehicle that will last for years to come. Gave our last toyota to a 17 year old family member.
