Early faults were the light issues which were resolved under recall .Replaced one low beam light thus far. My 2011 c300 was a cpo with no previous owner just dealer driving etc with very low miles < 4000. I have now gone over a 100k miles since I purchased it in early 2012. I am on the same brakes and religiously get all of my checks and changes on time. It has been a problem free car thus far and I hope the trend continues. The only mark I put on it was the curb effect when I first purchased it and since then I park accordingly .

Great car

I've owned it since new in 2011. Only have 26000 miles on it. I had a full oil change once every year in February. Never had any mechanical problems. Have made much use of GPS installed. Car has great pick up and holds the road terrific.

2011 Mercedes C300 VIN WDDGF5EB7AF442072 The car went into limp mode Traction Control failed and then the instrument panel turned into a rolling screen with one thing after another failing or deactivated while we were sitting (literally not moving) in Charleston traffic. The car would barely move with the accelerator floored - dangerous at the least unnerving at best...... Returned to Baker Mercedes of Charleston Dealership read below the sales manager's email response below Thank you for taking the time to relate your experience to me. Clearly, that is not how we wish our guests to experience this marvelous brand or our dealership. I know for a fact that this vehicle has been driven by other guests and associates with no issues. Unfortunately, this incredibly complex vehicle operated flawlessly until it didn’t, with you behind the wheel! I certainly understand your trepidation but I would love an opportunity to show you one of the other vehicles we have in stock, confident you would enjoy the vehicle and the experience. He also stated: Have you considered any of the other brands we offer? We represent some of the worlds finest automotive manufacturers. I am personally very impressed with the reliability and durability of the Infiniti brand and I would love the opportunity to demonstrate their vehicles to you. Best part the car is still listed on their website for sale as a CPO ! Shopping Lexus and Acura now

I do love this car, don't get me wrong. But having owned it now for 3 years. two things I can't stand. The lag from the time I hit the accelerator and the time the car figures out I want to go, is like a full second or more. That may not sound bad, but when you need to thread the needle? it can get scary! Just way more lag than I've ever seen on any vehicle. and also, being a sports edition, it's got amazing handling, but the suspension is very stiff, you feel every bump. But that's my own fault for getting a sport edition. Otherwise... I love this car.

Great car but...

Overall this car is pretty amazing. I would recommend this car to anyone that is looking for "affordable luxury". Be prepared to spend a lot of time at the gas station. I've only been able to carve out 21mpg at best on the highway. Back and forth to work consumes a 1/4 tank per day. Other than the less than stellar mpg's it's a great car.

Purchased mine certified pre-owned from the dealer with approximately 5,000 miles. I have the premium package and really enjoy the car. As of today it has near 70,000 miles on it and still on the original tires/brakes, etc. Had an issue with the AC last summer but the dealership was able to resolve which was covered under the warranty. The service is top-notch, but you certainly pay a premium. Drives well in the snow. Tinted the windows for privacy, and have black exterior/interior so overall it looks very sharp. I tend to average low 20's local and 26-28 mpg highway, which is better than advertised, using premium.

My review after 3.5 years. Been an excellent reliable car. Still has the classic C-class Sport look that can compete with any of the new models. Had one issue and that was the power door lock passenger side which sounded like a shotgun when it repeatedly locked and unlocked, over and over again. Issue resolved at the dealer. Love the looks of it. The sports front with the LED's, the crisp side. Wheels are nice wish I had 4 out of the 2015 accessories book. Steering wheel looks, feel, and function is tops. 2-tone dash colors are pleasing to the eye. Seats are a bit firm but that's a good thing for my bad back. Dealer tips: Charge less for your glorified oil changes.

Love It!!

Great car. Love the aesthetics and the red paint is a real eye-catcher. The 4Matic works great even here in the snowy North Hills of Pittsburgh. The seven-speed transmission never dissapoints, and knows when to hold a gear while descending hills or even during a pause in acceleration. Fuel economy is acceptable, but ride and comfort are outstanding. Updated: My only quibble with the car is the lack of smart phone integration. Mercedes makes you purchase the integration separately, and then it only works with the iPhone 4, which of course by now is outdated. The ownership experience has been terrific. I have only performed routine maintenance, and have had no warranty claims nor out-of-pocket repairs.

Not sporty at all, it's just a smooth and good looking gas guzzler

It's not sporty by any means. It's a smooth and quite car. It's not fun to drive, it's not exciting either. My major complaint is that it's such a gas guzzler and yet it's slow in its class. It does not do any better than 23 Mpg when cruising on freeway and despite the 230Hp, it's 0-60 is 7.1 seconds. I used to have a 2006 E90 BMW 325i that easily could do 28Mpg on highway and yet could go 0-60 in 6.5 seconds! I forgot to mention a collection of different rattles started at 15K miles and I had to change struts at 16K miles! To make things worst consider the fact that you have to pay for it's expensive maintenance out of pocket! It's maintenance plan is a joke...

I used to drive almost the exact same car, a 2009 C300 with premium 1 package. My new one is a certified 2011 C300 with premium 1 and multimedia (the only missing from my 09). Even the interior and exterior colors are the same. I am in this car because the 2012 C250 I bought and drove for 28,000 miles just had too many electrical glitches, until it reached the point that Mercedes-Benz bought it back. THe combination of ride, handling, comfort and company support when I ran into trouble was enough to keep me in a C class Mercedes, though I decided to go certified used this time. This car is exactly the same as I remember (fondly) my 2009 C300. Delightful.

Purchased our C300 Sport 4Matic in September 2011. Just ticked to 10K. So far, so good. No maintenance issues - changed oil myself at 5K and ready to have dealer handle the scheduled 10K (free of charge). Solid, strong performer that is built like an ingot. Just did a 2K mile r/t to FL. Averaged 27.5 mpg overall with cruise at 78 mph on 835 mile run down I-95. Local driving a breeze - nimble and quick. Excellent audio system, seats good, back a bit tight for large folks. Adequate trunk for a getaway or other.

Bought this C300 in Oct 11 and got a fair deal as it was the end of the year. Received 10% disc off MSRP which is good as in our area the dealer has little competition. This is our 7th Merc. and I have to say for the money it is a quality Benz. It is the smallest we have had so you do need to lower expectations. It is not a S Class. From the two front seats it has a smooth ride and good performance. The fit and trim are outstanding and the car is quiet. The only thing that I have found that maybe a problem is that if you have more than two people to cart around the folks in the back need to be short as the head room and leg room are very tight if the front seats are set far to the rear.

After leaving the silver star in 2007, I went to a BMW 528I and then a Cadillac SRX. I have owned and leased 5 Mercedes since 1997 and I missed not just the brand but the service from the dealership. My 2011 C300 Sport Sedan is fun to drive, comfortable and quite good on gas averaging about 27 on the highway. I've had it 3 weeks and after comparing it to a few vehicles like the BMW,Lexus, Infiniti and Cadillac, I decided to go back to Mercedes. The japanese manufacturers offer a little more bang for your buck, but I have all the features that I need in the P1 package. Its sharp, nimble and so far, an all around great vehicle.

My 2009 C300 sports 4matic is good in general. After driven 16,000 miles, I heard noise at highway speed. I took it to the dealer and they could not find anything wrong but charged me $50 for the check. 2 months later, I still felt its too noisy at high speed. I took the car to a different dealer and was told that the continent tire making the noise. They recommended to replace the four tires with a price over $1000. I couldn't believe the news. I paid over $40,000 for the car with expensive package and assumed Mercedes-Benz had the quality free of worry. It turned out the car used a cheap tire on it. With only 16,000 miles of normal city driving, the tires need to be replaced!

Bought it yesterday and only put 30 miles on it. My previous four new cars are all Japanese and never thought about a european car because of reliability concern. Consumer report recommendes it so I get it. Gethered a few premium compact car ratings side by side. C300 has the highest overall score, especially the noise level rating. Excellent quality inside out. Back seat passenger can easily talk to the multimedia person. Time will tell me if it's reliable.

My first MB and it's a winner.

After 1000 miles I can only say that it's been a pleasant experience. After driving BMW 3-series and Acura TL, this car is quieter, smoother and more comfortable, without the built in "sports car" bounces. Have Premium I Package which has some but not all of the goodies of the prior cars yet at less cost for the lease. Can live without the NAV (got a Garmin, which is transferable) and the Premium II package ($$). Fit and finish are excellent. Engine is underpowered for the weight and the rear seats and trunk are short on space. Seldom carry passengers; so they are slighly inconvenienced for a short time. Could use technology updates in communication area, like Bluetooth enhancement.

Love it all, but one thing....

Been car shopping for 5 months. Tested everything, then saw apr rates for MB and decided to go in and drive one. I was sold. It's the best car I have personally owned- road noise is low, smooth/ solid over bumps, autorain wipers are amazing, the mbtek keeps the car smelling new and no one knows its not leather. the transmission is not even a consideration....i never feel it shift. the baby turns tight and crisp. I am getting about 25 mpgs right now, but just rolled over to 2000 miles so this is still probably not accurate.

Very Impressive.

Great pricing and peace of mind. Black on black with L.E.D running lights. Moon roof come with it. We compare with BMW 3 series, Infiniti G sedan, and Lexus 350is and go with Mercedes Benz. We go to Edmund.com to shop our Mercedes and got $1400 below dealer invoice. With in few hours local Mercedes call us back. Thank you Edmund for saving us time and money.

Wanted to share my experience. Recently sold the E46 330ci and bought a W204 200CGI and found these useful features that the E46 don't have: - Seat memory for both driver and passenger side. E46 is driver seat only. - Power adjustable steering column and head rest with memory. - Seat has power adjustable lumbar support. - Reverse auto-tilt of passenger-side mirror can be adjusted and memorized. - Head restrain will lock during impact. - Seat belt automatically pulls tight after engaging. - Automatic cabin light has a button to enable or disable.

Luxury vs. Sport model

The car is great but our hardest decision was Luxury vs. Sport. While the Sport seems most popular, this is why we decided on the Luxury. 1. We keep cars for 100,000 miles or 10 years, whichever comes first. The Luxury is a more traditional look so we thought it would 'last' longer. 2. The ride is stiff, maybe a little too stiff in the Sport. 3. The tires are different sizes on the Sport so can't be rotated. 4. The ground effects stuff on the sport looks alittle edgy, and we don't have curb cutouts in our hood so we have to jump an angled curb. Looks like the ground effects stuff is a little closer to the ground. 5. This one is really shallow! Like seeing the star from inside

It's an MB.

I wanted a luxury car and my budget was just about enough to cover C class. I am happy that I got it. It has been about a month now. I am biased for MB (I didn't even look at other options like BMW or Lexus). An MB is an MB! The drive is very good. I actually got the sport version first but gave it back next day because it was too rough for my comfort. I could feel a penny on the road.. I guess I am not a sports car person. I am glad I exchanged it for the luxury version. btw, this is a luxury car so expect to spend some extra every month for premium gas, and a thirsty, but fast, engine. but if you are buying a luxury car, it is part of equation.

I mainly was drawn to this car when my neighbor got one. I just couldn't take my eyes off of it. The short term lease sealed the deal. I have had 30+ cars and can't commit to one for long. I have recently had an Infiniti G35x and a BMW 325xi. I like how solid it is built. It is also very refined. Granted, the interior materials aren't as nice as other Mercedes, but they are far nicer than the Japanese upscale cars and equal the BMW 3 series. I am a big fat guy and I find the seats and seating position very comfortable. I am very hard to please, so for me to like this car so much says a lot.

Prior owner of Lexus SUV, Jaguar and Toyota, this car was not on my list to purchase. I was all decided to buy the BMW 328 xDrive given the deals and the whole package. The prices for BMW and C300 4Matic were exactly the same with minor differences in equipment. However, as I drove the C300W it was a game changer. A very well mannered, it is a pleasure to drive this car. If you want to accelerate faster, it will let you do that. Handling is very good, the power is good and is adequate given what you are paying for. Legroom is very good in the rear seats. The cabin ambiance is just beautiful. Styling is awesome and it feels every bit of a mercedes.

This car is a rolling bank vault. When you close the door you hear the wonderful thunk. I never noticed the C-class before. Just the feeling of security makes the car. Other than that what else is there not to like about this car? It handles on rails; the steering is well balanced and the brakes are superb. The transmission is also extremely smooth. I wouldn't necessarily can this car a "rocket-ship" but it does pack quite a punch. The most important message I'm trying to convey is just to test it for yourself. The BMW 3-series may have a little bit of better handling but in my opinion the interior is cheap-looking. Overall, the C cannot be beat on style, comfort, and safety.

The 2011 Mercedes Benz C300 luxury is nice to look at. You can get many options (at a cost),but the windshield wipers stutter and are very noisy. The auto wiper sensor is terrible and has no consistency. It's hard to believe Mercedes has made such a huge mistake. This problem destroys the whole car.

Great looking car, love the new front grill design. The low price 27 month lease is what sold me on this. It's only going to really be a 24 month commitment I was not sure I wanted to lock into a 36 month lease since I am used to driving an SUV. Love the ride, the look and the interior. Chambers was a great dealership. In economy mode, car starts in second gear so it's a little hesitant. Sport mode MUCH improves this as does tiptronic. No trouble with passing moves on highway. Rock solid to 80 mph and then I can feel a slight jitter. Maybe noisier than Lexus but quiet to me coming from SUV. Nice compromise on sport/comfort. Front seat is killing me. I am 6'0", 195 lbs.
