We purchased our Jeep used with 34K miles. The color is mineral grey with saddle interior and saddle leather dash. The vehicle feels solid on the road and is very quiet. The sound system is good with lots of features. We drove it on a 3400 miles trip with speeds between 70 and 80 mile-per-hour. We averaged 19 MPG for the entire trip and covered a lot of miles per day as driving the Jeep is not fatiguing. We did have a failure with the vehicle, the TIPM went bad. This is basically a computerized fuse box. We were lucky and got ours replaced with an updated one. Since we also own a European car (SAAB), the leather in the Jeep is nothing like our SAAB. The leather in the Jeep is surfaced dyed and the SAAB's is dyed through and of excellent quality. The SAAB is 13 years old and the leather looks new. The Jeep is just over 3 years old and the leather has some surface cracks in the sprayed on dye. The Jeep is almost unstoppable in the snow. Update: The vehicle has been treating us very well. No issues since the first review. Love the power it has too. Would buy another Jeep.

I was lured into buying American on this car. Seduced by the great styling, comfortable ride, and great road manners. Plus, made in the USA! What could be better? Traded my aged BMW that I'd bought new ten years previously (no major issues), and entered into 3.5 years of automotive purgatory. This is the worst car I've ever owned. Even beats out my wife's old 99 Audi A4. New engine at 9k miles, three headlights at $350 each, new entertainment system, back up camera replaced twice, $3000 wiring harness "rusted through", and on, and on. Two things convinced me to get rid of this car...driving along at 70mph on my way to work the truck just stopped running. Completely shut off. After I changed my underwear, I was able to make it to work. Second, I had to drain GALLONS of water out of my floorpans that just collected there for no apparent reason. Loved the dealer, but NEVER will buy a Jeep again. Traded it in on a Lexus. Very happy now. Be warned on this one.

Very Disappointed. Last Jeep I'll Buy.

I bought based on styling and perceived luxury car at affordable price point. Should have known you get what you pay for! Leather dash bubbled up although always garaged at work and home. Interior trim pealing off. Both A/C vent control actuators broken. Hydraulic engine mounts leaked (Jeep mechanic told me they were terrible). Car won't start due to faulty TIPM controller which thankfully is now a recall. UConnect system faulty where it resets when I back up losing rear camera. Door lock motor replaced. Leak in motor replaces on warranty. I will not buy a Jeep again and very likely go with imports from now on. If you buy one get the best warranty they have or as I told my friend but a spare car for when it's in the shop! Disappointed and embarrassed that a US company can build such junk and charge so much.

I've had my 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo with all the extras and V8, since March 2011. Overall I've been pretty pleased with this vehicle. I'm debating now on whether to trade it in for 2014. So I have been reading reviews on Edmunds of the 2014. The only issue I have had that has been a pain in the 2011 has been the cruise control. It has been in the shop 3 times to get it fixed. I have found through experience that if I slam the steering wheel up and down with the tilt steering, it will become operable again. It's some kind of wiring issue. I've told the service department this, but they just replace the whole mechanism. But overall, as I've said, its 9 of 10 stars.

I had a 2004 jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo and no problems other than maintenance issues. When my frame cracked in 2011 i bought a new. I have been back and forth to dealer.I have replaced wipers so much in my life. I have had 2 replacement wiper sprayers on both sides; The split Hemi engine i can get 22 in the summer and 13-15 in the winter. key has been replaced twice. I have the digital temperature control and the motor has been replaced and reprogrammed. One day going down road lights came on the dash as told the system will reset itself. Ipod dock burnt up my ipod; down songs.

I bought the 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited V8 Hemi in Jan 2011. Started having problems after about 3 months with the gas tank sensor. Took the dealer 10 times to figure out it was the electrical sensor. At 25,000 miles I had no tread on my tires (I do mostly in town and highway driving, absolutely no off road) and had to replace all 4 tires. Now at 27,200 miles, my SUV is in the garage and won't start. It's completely frozen and every single warning light comes on. I'm waiting to have it towed to the dealer to be analyzed and fixed. It's very frustrating to have a relatively new vehicle and to have multiple problems before there's even 30,000 miles on it. Not sure I will buy jeep

5 time jeep owner, Lease 2011 jeep Grand Cherokee Overland. Warning lights start blinking , Hard time starting, rear cam doesn't work. They say its the mother board. Under warranty- Great!!. BUTTTTTTT it will take 2 weeks to get it and they will not give me a free rental. I'm paying lease, insurance, garage on a car that is out of commission for 2 weeks because of warrantied parts and they want me to pay for rental car. So i guess a warranty doesn't mean anything. Last time having a jeep.

I have been having problems with the key not detected message which is happening quite often, I thought it may be the key battery. I switched keys (spare) and its doing the same thing. I was thinking it was the key battery at first, but when I switched keys after a while it started doing the same thing so I dont think its the battery. I have to try anything and everything to get my car to crank. The problem seems to be getting worse, I hope I dont get stranded. Also I have accidently locked myself out the car a few times and the car lock key feature works when it wants to, the key was in the console or my purse in the passenger seat less than 2 ft and it still locks.

After driving the Jeep Grand Cherokee for 8 months, my right leg started to go numb. I closely analyzed the situation and determined that the front seat doesn't line up properly with the pedals and the steering wheel. The brake pedal is too far to the left and it forces you to cross your right leg too far to the left when braking. Further, your body is always at about a 10 degree angle to the left from center because everything doesn't line up properly. I now have to sit on pillows to force my body to the left to feel centered in the seat. I will have to sell the car as a result of this.

I've had my JGC over 2.5 years, and although I enjoy the vehicle most of the time, I cannot recommend it due to it's numerous issues. The front sway bar bushings wore out last month. How is this possible on a relatively new vehicle? This weekend my check engine light came on again and the MDS is not working. I had this happen two years ago, and the end result was a bad cylinder valve that left me without a car for several weeks. If it's the same issue again, I'm done. Going foreign again. I've had more issues with this car than my last 10 vehicles combined. I wanted so much for Jeep to succeed, but even if you put lipstick on a pig, it's still a pig. Buyer beware.

Overall I'm very happy with the car itself. However I wish I bought the V8 instead of the V6. The engine feels underpowered since the engine has to work very hard to get the 2200 kg weight moving in city driving. Cruising on the highway the engine works better, so long you don't climb any hills. The 5 speed auto trans mission is geared to high. Need at least 6 gears to make driving more fun. Gas consumption was good at first but now after 12000 miles/19000 km my consumption is 20 City and 23highway.

Guys please be careful with going only on external appearances and marketing techniques (I am not implying the first reviews made by auto magazines as they get only a “first impression” point of view). I am based in Dubai and bought a Jeep Grand Cherokee (Limited) 2011 in July 2011 and was very impressed by it. I even went around promoting the product to my friends and family so much that even my brother in Australia bought a new one. Moreover I was even planning for a Dodge charger as my next car. My best buddy too has almost booked a new Jeep GC 2012. Unfortunately it has lived to its reputation of very poor reliability. I have been experiencing software and GPS issues from day one. The pad of the parking break came off in 5 months’ time and dealer said it was not covered under the warranty clause and I had to pay for it. Luckily for me the service consultant gave me such a shoddy service that the charge for the same was written off as a measure to compensate for the inconvenience caused to me. (I do not want to give details of the same as it was addressed by the service manager) I took the vehicle on an Oman trip (no off-roading and I have never used it for off-roading) around 6 months after buying the car and it wouldn’t start after doing an uphill (again on good tarred road.)I had taken it to the dealer and they said everything is ok. Now the vehicle has developed some engine issues as the Engine fault light (also called as MIL (Malfunction Indicator Light)) comes on. I cannot understand how a new vehicle can have so many issues? I have been perfect with its service and have allowed only the authorised dealer to even touch it. The dealer technicians cannot seem to find what the issue is with and had reset the computers so that the MIL light goes off. Yesterday the light came back on. Worst of all is I am left without a vehicle for all these days and they refuse to give a spare vehicle. I had also called Chrysler Middle East who promised to get back on the issue but with no luck (they did not even call back). The car spent 3 days at the work shop and I guess it is only fair that I am given a replacement car. The warranty conditions in the US covers this factor wherein the dealer should arrange a replacement car (if the car develops issues during the warranty period and KM limit). This clause unfortunately has been conveniently removed for the Middle East. I even searched the net on the same and came across lots of negative feedback on Jeep GC (the new model) at American forums where they are more transparent. I really wish reliability issues were brought up so that other buyers are not caught off-guard after shelling out so much money for a product that only looks good. I honestly regret for not having gone for a Pajero or a Japanese car. This is the first time I ventured for an American vehicle and I consider it the biggest follies of my life (by the way I used to own a Mitsubishi Pajero which I sold to buy the Jeep). So much of American tax payers ‘money has gone to revive the Chrysler Group and I think the people of America deserve more dedication from this group to upkeep the reputation and trust of the consumers towards American products (especially cars), in the international market. Another warning; please do not go by what the sales persons at the Trading Enterprises say as they are extremely economical in the “truthfulness” area. To all aspiring Jeep owners, my suggestion is to do a research on the net before buying this vehicle.

I have been extremely disappointed in having four warranty issues within one year. I have had to have the following items replaced: torn weatherstripping, radiator, and media center. They have been unable to diagnose an issue with the keyless entry fob not working intermittantly. I contacted the dealer about all of the problems I've experienced and they gave me a Chrysler Customer Service number to contact. The service representative was unable to offer any assistance whatsoever, just wrote down what I've experienced and told me to call back if I had any more issues!

I never thought I'd buy American but....

I am pleased with my purchase. I was considering the Lexus RX when I saw the new redesigned JGC Laredo passing by in traffic. It grabbed my attention. I went home and did my research.. one week later I had purchased one. It has that luxury feel to it and very comfortable (leather interior). On the flip side.. I just had to take it into Jeep bcus the engine light came on..it has been there now for 3 days.. they were nice enough to give me a loaner (2012 Durango). I also own an Infiniti G37 but prefer my Jeep! The dealer mentioned something about and O2 sensor, all covered under warranty. I miss my truck but want to put pressure on them as I dont want it rushed and want it fixed properly!!

Have owned for 30,000 miles. Laredo X with V-8 Hemi. EPA accurately rated at 13/19 mpg. Using Plus or Premium fuel allows the engine to run in 4-cylinder mode more, giving another 1 or 2 mpg. Have had zero problems with my Jeep. I've experienced engine surging noted by others, is eliminated by a downshift: move the gearshift lever to the left. I've experienced the bad key fob noted by others. Pop out the start button, insert fob in the hole and use as a normal key for a day. This recharges the fob battery. Repeat every 2 weeks. Roomy back seat fits child seat and 2 average adults. Front seats (leather, electric) are good for all day. This is a very nice vehicle.

Bought our new 2011 JGC in Oct 2011. The key fob is not recognized so it won't unlock or start. When you press unlock on the key fob, nothing happens. We tried using the hidden key inside the fob to unlock the door, but all that does is set off the alarm. The vehicle goes into security mode and there's nothing we can do until it's ready!!! Owner's manual says remove the start button and insert the key fob to start the vehicle and take it out of alarm mode, but that doesn't happen. It's locked down! It's been in the shop 3 Xs with no results. We think we have a lemon...still waiting to hear back from Chrysler. In the shop for 3 weeks now while we wait to see what Chrysler is going to do.

Comfortable on road, not suited for extreme off-roading!

I reside in Dubai, UAE and purchased this vehicle after reading reviews and watching several adverts about how the car performs well off-road. The truth - it cannot do well on major sand dunes. Around 10+ of these have had damaged radiator/condenser units after being driven offroad because of sudden jumps. Even the Overland model has had bad luck here. Thru insurance i got my radiator replaced, but weeks later overheating problems occured for which Jeep/Chrysler could not figure out why - so they changed the whole engine under warranty! Still didnt fix the issue! Later found that the coolant compartment was leaking! Extremely poor reliability of this vehicle. Jeep UAE admits it shamelessly.

Amazing ride but the interior isn't.

I got this used a month ago and am really impressed with the style , performance, size, and fuel economy. The only thing that is mediocre is the drivers cockpit. After selling my old boxy JGC, I almost didn't feel like i had a jeep. This thing rides like a luxury SUV, quiet and smooth. It is bigger than older JGC so it kind of lumbers around corners but the power of the V6 is very impressive. I am getting an astonishing 27 mpg on hiways ( I drive about 70mph but careful to keep the speed steady ). I haven't taken it in the field yet but am wondering if it will be very nimble with its hulking size and heavier weight.

Looks nice, rides nice, BUT...

Have had for 1.5 yrs. Love the look, interiors and ride. Just back from a roadtrip from NY to DC/VA and no issues other than the daily annoyances of a keyfob that isn't recognized by the starter or a seat that is not comfortable. Since starting your car, and sitting in your seat are not small details, I have to count these as major drawbacks. The keyfob can make you insane, as it doesn't start or tells me that the key has left the car anytime my 11 year old gets in or out (she is not carrying the key!). Seat digs into back of legs and doesn't adjust to the same spots consistently - bizarre! And no print manual is provided, so if you can't start your car, you can't read the manual!

I've owned quite a few Grand Cherokees.I have a video production company and drive the heck out of them mostly loaded with gear.I've had the '11 for just over a year and have put 66K miles on it. To date the only REAL issue is the clunk in the rear (that I can't find the source of) and the poor quality seat. Regarding the seat, I'm 5'10" 175 lbs and I have a couple of springs or something coming through the bottom cushion, along with the material looking worn already. My seat in my '09 with 100K still looks new. Other than that, super comfortable, great gas mileage (V6), decent power, nice features blah blah blah. Overall I love it. Once back to the dealer for tranny reprogram.

Purchased a Jeep Overland only to find that the suspension produces a very loud 'bang' noise upon recoil when going over a pothole or bump. This is on all 4 wheels and Chrysler and the Dealership acknowledge the issue in both 2011 and 2012 models and say it's a 'characterisitic of the vehicle'. Can you believe that? This is supposed to be a vehicle that can 'take you anywhere'. Chrysler acknowledges the problem but won't fix it. See for yourself...take one for a test drive and go over a speed bump or ride off a curb...it's simply shocking!!!!! Don't buy one...

Bought my Jeep Grand Cherokee technically last year but less than a year ago. I love this Jeep. I've had Cherokees before and the inside of this new one definitely takes the cake. So comfortable, and very usable. I'm not sure what the last lady was talking about and maybe she just had a bad apple which can happen with any brand but I have never driven anything that was this worry free. I love this Jeep and will drive it anywhere knowing I'm fine and won't have issues. I had a BMW before this and had issue after issue and they didn't want to help me out. Not only that the run flats on the BMW were hell to replace. "no cost to owner' my butt on the Beemer. Thanks BMW but I'll stick with Jeep!!

I drive a 2011 Overland loaded! I used to be so proud of my Jeep and would brag about it to everyone. Not anymore! So far the truck has been back to the dealer five times… thank god not for mechanical failures (so far) but for cosmetic reason. After owning several Jeeps, I wanted some luxury, style and of course towing capacity. So after looking into the X5, Lexus 350 and the Expedition…I chose my Overland, boy do I regret my decision!!! The overland is fun to drive, slick looking and just all around FUN. The problem is how the inside of the Jeep was done and how bad the materials used inside are wearing down in such a small period of time. The dash board had to be replaced because th

Bought my new jeep because I wanted a vehicle to match my lifestyle. It replaced my 93 GC. I liked it so mutch i had to have a new one. So far at 19,000 miles i am impressed. It has impressive power (5.7 Hemi), awsome off-road ability, and handles pavement like a sedan. To date no issues what so ever. I would suggest though if you drive a lot on gravel get the optional mudflaps. I am not a mudflap fan, but due to the flare of the rear doors and fender wells they will catch a lot of debris with out them.

I love my first jeep

This suv is great, its tough but gentle, quite, and elegant, its the sharpest vehicle out there for the money. At 15000 thousand miles, only one problem with it, a simple wheel alignment when first purchased. The v6 is a solid power plant, after 7000 thousand miles I've seen the gas mileage at 25 highway and 16 to 18 city, not bad for a vehicle with a 4 wheel drive system and 5 thousand pounds of steel. Sure the engine is not the fastest, but its moves the Jeep with respect, I could live with that at the pump. Can't wait for snow again...

I have owned this Overland V8 Hemi for nearly 2 months now, and I am still just as impressed as the day I bought it. This is a quiet, strong, well-behaved, high-quality vehicle that is loaded with amenities like heated and cooled seats, power liftgate, adaptive cruise control, blind spot warning, and much more. The interior is very nice, and this vehicle can hold its own against any of the higher-priced luxury brand SUVs from Germany and Japan. I have owned a number of Grand Cherokees in the past, but this one is clearly a cut above past models... perhaps they should have called it the Grand Slam, because that's what they have hit! This is one beautiful vechicle that I am proud to own.

This is my 4th and last Jeep. I have love all my other ones, but this new 2011 is not the same. I went from the V8 Hemi to the new Penstar V6. The MPG are much better, however it is loud and sounds like its in the wrong gear. sometimes i think it might blow up. I have had trouble with the bluetooth it just stops working. they don't know why. the remote start is not always working either. It just does not handle as smooth as my 2005. The power seats do not tilt down in the front like the older Jeeps. I need that to keep the seat from cutting into the back of my legs. sometime change is not for the best.

So far, so good!

Replaced our trusty 2002 4Runner with a 2011 JGC Laredo. Closing in on 3K miles at this point, so have spent enough time to provide an early review. First, we did need to bring the Jeep back to the dealer a few days after driving it off the lot b/c an airbag light came on. Turns out a sensor in the door came loose. That was inconvenient but so far the only issue we had - dealer took care of it under warranty. Wife and I love the exterior styling and interior quality. I never would have considered buying a JEEP/Chrysler product before this...the JGC is that good. VERY comfortable, V-6 isn't fast, but isn't slow, either. All around excellent vehicle.

Great car let down by crappy components. When will Chrysler get it? The car was in the shop for almost a month. Dealer recommended having it bought back, but I just traded it in for a BMW. The transfercase failed, which was replaced and then had all sorts of driveline problems as a result. Rear shock failed, and brakes were warped by 7500 miles. The last 100 miles was just driving it back and forth to the dealer for problems. I'm disappointed as a former die hard Jeep fan, that was my 7th and probably last Jeep. The dealer and Chrysler did little to keep me happy.

I traded in a 3-series after realizing it wasn't as practical as I needed it to be. I haven't missed the 3 at all since getting the Grand Cherokee. The Jeep is about 5x more comfortable, with plenty of space for my 6'4" frame. Never having owned an American car before, I was blown away by the build quality, comfort, ride, and complete absence of noise, vibration, and harshness. I did not buy this to drive fast and the V6 has enough overall power, though there are times when you can feel that it's moving such a heavy vehicle. Best highway mileage has been 23.8, not bad with less than 900 miles and 2 adults/cargo/ac doing 80mph!

The new GC sure lived up to all the hype, at least in our opinion. Jeep designers really listened to all the suggestions that customers had to offer, making this a best buy. We chose the Limited with the upgraded NAV and Tow Package. The Panoramic Sunroof is my wife's favorite feature of the new Jeep. The ride is superb, noise levels inside are significantly lower than anything in it's class (that we could find). A normal conversation can be held while traveling at highway speeds. We average 24mpg highway @ 70mph, 19.5mpg city- of course this will get better once the vehicle breaks-in. 1800miles and only a small issue with compatibility with our iPhones & the USB plug in the console.

Never thought I'd buy Jeep/American...

...but this Grand Cherokee is THAT good. Excellent design, fit and finish. Very good value for the money in my opinion. We have only owned for 3 weeks so far, but have taken a road trip and found the J GC very comfortable all around. The electronics all work fine, and the ergonomics are well laid-out. The voice recognition system is also very convenient and helps keep the driver's focus on the road where it belongs. We have had to take the J GC in for one issue - 3 days into ownership the airbag light came on. Turns out an airbag sensor in the door became disconnected. Must not have been attached firmly at the Jeep factory in Michigan. Once plugged back in all has been well.

Also, on a 19 hr trip, AC stopped for over 5 hrs!! Has been in shop x4---mechanics cannot find problem, Anyone having these problems too? Or solutions?

We researched many vehicles before buying our 2011 JGC in Nov 2010. It is beautiful inside & out. Comfy seats with great adjustablity on the driver's side, lots of legroom, responsive & adjustable steering, large cargo area, very quiet, smooth ride, & good gas mileage. We came from a Toyota Tacoma that got 19 mpg no matter. Our JGC gets 18 to 20 city & 24 hwy. We have had no mechanical issues at all & we are at 10K miles. My only gripe is with the auto transmission. It is just plain weird. I mainly drive the Jeep & I still am not used to the way that it shifts. My husband has no problem with it. I don't feel the weirdness when riding as a passenger. Very happy with our choice!

Purchased the 2011 Jeep Overland 4X4 in June. Now this is one great car! The stone white exterior with saddle brown interior design make it a standout. Very impressed with the quality of design and features. It came with 20 inch Goodyear Fortera tires and accident avoidance system, parking assistance, collision avoidance cruze control, on board navagation and Sirius FM. The chrome group and full view sunroof are an added value. Jeep really redesigned this car. Looked at competition for months before I decided this car was for me. No regrets at all.

Purchased early May 2011. Have over 7000 km. Drove over 2000 km for 2 wks from Calgary to Vancouver, thru Rocky Mtns & other high Mtn Rgs. 4 adults, lots of room in back seat. Ride was very smooth. Con: 1)When passing vehicles on hwy, p/u bogs down, then zooms fwd. Previous Toyota 4-Runner p/u was smooth & quick, even when passing uphill in mtns. 2)Cruise control: sets 1 km above or below where you want it; when pressing +/- it increases/decreases 3 km, never 1 km; 28 km of construction, speed limit 50 km, dbl fines if over. I set cruise at 50, it set at 51 km, then fluctated up/down as much as 7 km. 4-Runr accurate & maintains set speed downhill/uphill, zero fluctuation. Good on gas.

Great highway ride and handling -- strong, quiet, smooth, precise. But there are some annoying flaws that should be fixed -- and hopefully these fixes will be offered to 2011 owners. First, someone forgot the "sport utility" part of SUV in designing the really lame roof rails. Even Yakima won't try a fit for them. I need to load two canoes, and will apparently have to spend hundreds on a new Thule system and then Dremel some plastic to get a decent crossbar spread. Second, the dial speedometer is almost totally useless in the daytime. Fortunately you can set up a digital speed readout in the center. Also, gap when rear seats down & no bumpers.

We bought our 2011 Grand Cherokee Laredo 4X4 in December 2010 and it has been in the shop on and off for weeks since be bought it, with major engine related problems. It only has 13000 KM on it and it blows black smoke out of the exhaust when it is started and sounds like an old diesel engine when it runs. The front crankshaft pulley came apart grinding the remaining pulley against the engine block (Chrysler called it "engine crankshaft damper problems" and "harmonizer balancer issues") and most recently the engine was "pulling in too much fuel" and Chrysler informed us the oil separator and PVC valve would need to be replaced. The gear shifter has broken, and further damaged by the dealer 4 months ago and still has not been repaired due to "a lack of replacement parts" and the engine has had declining performance since about 5000KM. We didn't just get a lemon because we found out that in fact other 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engines have come in with the same problems and there have been technical service bulletins released by Chrysler on these issues on other Grand Cherokee's. This engine is scheduled to go into many more models in 2012 and I would strongly recommend to avoid this engine at all costs. Chrysler supposedly spent years developing this new engine and have high hopes it will pull this automaker out of financial ruin but they should have spent a little more time because it is full of problems and will no dought cost anyone unfortunate enough to buy one a fortune. Chrysler hasn't been willing to do anything to help and we continue to have out of pocket costs add up.

Spec-wise and value-wise I was really looking forward to the 2011 Grand Cherokee Overland as a replacement to my 2000 Grand Cherokee Limited. Instead, I was REALLY disappointed at the dealership today when I saw it and drove it! I was horrified to see that the wonderful Inferno Red finish was trimmed all the way around in cheap black plastic, ugh. A $46K vehicle trimmed in black plastic, who the $%^& in the design shop thought THAT was a good idea ?! I thought maybe it could be redeemed with a test drive of its 5.7L Hemi-V8 though. Yet again I was horrified. This behemoth with a 360hp/390lb-ft powerhouse felt so sluggish it felt like a small V6 with bad turbo lag, awful, just awful.

The 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee is an important vehicle for Chrysler. Under its new FIAT ownership, Chrysler has kicked up everything a million notches in performance, safety, looks, quality, reliability, design, and fun in this new Jeep. borrowing parts from the next-generation Mercedes-Benz M-Class, The new Jeep is much more composed, agile, and fun to drive while retaining it's extreme off road capabilities. Engines offered are a 3.6L Pentastar V6 with 290 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque. it's a strong engine, but when put in a car over 4,000 lbs, well, not so much. The optional 5.7L V8 with 360 hp and 390 lb-ft of torque pulls effortlessly for 0-60 under 7 secs. overall this car is truly perfect.

I have had my 11 Grand Cherokee Limited for about 8 months now, and I absolutely love it! This Selec-Terrain system is Amazing! I have never had a vehicle to drive any better in the snow. I live in the mountains of Kentucky and a 4x4 is mandatory! This vehicle is equally luxurious as my families new Lincoln Navigator. The ride is excellent and handling around the curves and twists is better than any SUV I have driven. I traded in a V8 Saab 97-X and the only thing that i miss is the extra power from GM's 327 engine. The Jeep's V6 is alright, but the high geared transmission makes it slow on take off, but give it a little time and it will fly!! Super Vehicle, highly recommended!

We drove the LR2/4, Q5, XC60/90 and ML350 before buying the Jeep. The Jeep has the ride of the Germans, the Offroad capability of the British and the styling of the Americans. Without a doubt, the best capability/performance/value out there today. After a week and 2800 miles, I know we picked a winner.

I have had my 2011 JGC Limited Hemi for about 7 months now. It's quiet, fast and handles pretty well for a heavy SUV ~ 4800 lbs. One major problem I have had is I went to start it and it was dead in my driveway. Found out the ground bolt for the starter sheared off. No clue how it happened, dealer had never seen it happen before. Automatic HVAC required reprogramming, would only blow hot air, seems to work ok now.. Pretty happy with the vehicle, very solidly built compared to my 2005 JGC which I hit into a concrete embankment at 50 mph and walked away without a scratch - hyrdoplaned. The vehicle is cheap life insurance, very safe.

If this car does as well, I will be a very happy, camper. So far this car is much more advanced, in looks, ride and performance. Bought the 2011 GC Overland (V8) white with saddle. Best looking SUV for the money. This is my 3rd GC and by far the best. The interior is the best I have ever seen in an SUV. Nice touches are the lighted door handles and door pockets. The ride, handling and acceleration are top notch. The adaptive cruise (ACC) and forward collision (FCW) work great. If you’re looking for good fuel economy look elsewhere (15 mpg with Hemi). Unfortunately, all is not well. Problems so far include: iPod communication with the 730 RHR radio is intermittent(no fix), rear seat had cut in leather from factory, radio developed static and had to be replaced, and vehicle would drift right.

I just picked up a JGC Overland with the V-8 3 days ago in Stone white with black interior and I must say that I am very, very impressed ! It drives and handles better than I expected. The interior is simple the best I've seen compared to others. The quality and workmanship shows in every detail from the hand stitched top dash, the real wood trimmings and steering wheel, to the leather seats with light grey piping. Don't think you'll get anything better for the money! Especially for what it can do off-road. The overland edition is the way to go if your looking for Luxury and off-road capabilty to the fullest. Also get the V-8, its well worth the extra money!

I cannot begin to tell you what a complete pile of trash this car is. Hey V8 owners, check your oil? I was burning over a quart of oil every 1,000 miles. Chrysler's answer? It's "normal". Are you kidding me??? Quote: "Let the engine build up some sludge and the oil burning might slow down." The transmission and drive by wire lag is completely unacceptable. A Hemi with that much HP should not get it's arse handed to it from my 2005 GX470. Quote: "That's adaptive learning for optimum fuel economy." My MPG? 13. The Radio button on the stereo would not tune to presets no matter how you touched it. Quote: "It's just sensitive, you have to live with it." Um, *expletive* you!

I bought a 2011 Grand Cherokee one month ago. I have the V8 - Overland Edition, Black, w/ Saddlle/Black interior. So far no problems. The V8 has lots fo power and tourque. Interior in comfortable, no issues. Having traded in my Lexus ES 350 for this vehicle, I miss a few minor things. The NAV doesn't automatically change from day to night lighting and it takes three steps on the menu to change it. A bit of a pain and at night it's definately too bright. Also, the keyless unlock often taken a few seconds to unblock. My Lexus unlocked any door instantly. On the Jeep it onlu unlocked the driver door and I usually havew to hold my hand their for 3 seconds or so before it unlock

Traded 2009 Grand Cherokee with LUX Pkg, 3.7 Ltr eng for 2011 Laredo E w/tow pkg and 3.6 ltr eng. More equipment now is standard and the eng blows away the 3.7 noisey, slow, fuel thirsty engine. The ride is night and day different with the fully independent rear suspension. The quietness of driving 80 MPH down an interstate and hear yourself THINKING is unbelievable for an off road type vehicle. Dealer gave good discount upon purchase. Drove Ford Edge Limited and did not like the fact of FWD versus RWD when needing tow power. Edge is limited to 3500 lbs,Jeep tows 5000lbs. Ford would not budge on price either!

I've only had my new Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited for a few days. That's why I only gave 'Reliability' a '3'. Time will tell in that category. The Jeep is fun to drive. The acceleration is good not great. I don't understand when people make comments about poor acceleration for quick passing on the highway or slight body lean if you corner to fast. If you're trying to do either of these things then you shouldn't be looking for an SUV. The V6 is good enough for most unless, you tow, need a lot of acceleration for off-roading or carry around a large family with the cargo area full. I will update this after I've driven for a few months...

great size, rear wheel drive but 3.6 does not have quite enough torque - as most v6's go. nice ride but for a new engine needs better gas mileage. meaning 6 speed transmission. i guess the 24 gal fuel tank will give range but at the pump $80 is steep for a fill up?? and price is very steep for upgrades.

The ride was super, the looks super, power was ok, my problem with the V-6 was that standing still or driving there was a constant vibration in both the steering wheel and the floor. Jeep could not fix the problem and it became so iritating that with less than 1000 miles on it, I ended up trading it for a Dodge at a huge loss of money. Would not recoment the V-6 to anyone. Drove two other Jeeps with the V-6 and they also vibrated, the floor and the steering wheel and one of the two the shift lever was also vibrating.

The 90 mile drive home diffused the worries. Plenty of power and very quiet. A completely different ride then the 2010. Less choppy and more comfortable all around. Will report later as I have a chance to experience in more detail.

I recently flew to Boston from Philly on a business trip and was snowed in under 24+ inches of snow. My plane was cancelled and then my backup Amtrak train was cancelled as well. It was my birthday and I was hell bent on getting home. I rented a new JGC from a car rental agency and drove home in just over 6 hours. The Jeep performed flawlessly - I was driving 50-60 mph on highways covered in 6+ inches of snow and occasional 2 foot snow drifts on exit ramps and side roads. This thing drives like a tank in the snow. I like it so much I bought one two days later. I love the ride, the interior fit and finish, and the new body style.

I have been a car car critic since I was 16, or 32 years...One thing I can tell you it's very sharp, inside and out. It's great in the snow, fuel economy with the V 6 ok, the stereo system sounds good, but FM reception is not great, even with local stations. What's not great: the ride is a not like a Toyota Highlander, Ford Explorer or Lincoln Aviator which I have owned, but its much better then a new Toyota 4 Runner. Steering is good under 65 mph, over that it's not secure, its feels like a boat with many steering adjustments which gets frustrating after an hour of driving. Also, lane changes over 65 are very floaty. The worst thing is the seats, very hard and you feel the bumps.

Love it!

I have only had the Overland V8 for a couple of days, but I love it. Got the mineral gray with the saddle leather interior. Best color combination out there. Jeep has done a wonderful job with the new Grand Cherokee. The interior feels like a luxury vehicle. Had a Range Rover Sport until August when the lease was up. I was shopping the LR4, but with the new Grand Cherokee I couldn't justify the price difference. Couldn't justify the maintenance price difference also.

We got the V-8 Overland. Had a 08 which we loved but this one blows it away. Test drove an Edge, Murano, CX-7, but nothing came close. The engine is quick and smooth, it rides quiet even on the highway. The interior cabin is as luxurious as anything you could imagine or want. Ambient lighting around cup holders, door handles, etc. make for thoughtful touches. The wood and leather are gorgeous and the technology is all you need-including a hookup for your iPod that allows you to use the steering wheel controls to change songs, etc. The features and quality compare with vehicles costing $20K more. Drive one--if you can find one. It took my dealer a lot of looking to get me mine.

We previously bought a GMC Terrain but it was not as good overall as this Grand Cherokee with the Hemi, and I'm not talking just pure power. The Terrain's fuel was OK but dropped to 24mpg highway when fully loaded for trips. The Grand Cherokee, 4x4 with Hemi, is giving us 21mpg. I'll take Hemi and 7000 pound towing (twice the Terrain) for not much more money thank you very much. The interior is another league compared to others. It's roomy, comfortable and the ride is unbelievable - this is a Jeep? Very comfortable for us in all seasons in the midwest. At 3000 miles we changed the oil to Mobil-1 and are easily towing our camper ~3000 pounds that the Terrain couldnt. Grand Cherokee A+!

This is my second GC (had an early 1992) and my most recent SUV was a MB ML 430. I have had a range of cars in my life (Peugeot, Jaguar, two MBs, and a number of Big 3 vehicles). I am semi-retired and don't drive a great deal and my ML had only 90,000 miles. I liked that car but love this one. Extremely solid, very comfortable, well equipped. Love the seats (the previous rater who gave comfort a 1 must have a butt the size of Texas). MBs, Jags and particularly Peugeots all have great seats and the Jeep is every bit as good. The ride is great so something good came out of Daimler's little money dump into the US. I consider this to be a Jeep refined (not designed) in Stuttgart.

I bought my 2011 Grand Cherokee Limited a few weeks ago. The dealer experience was great! They did not have the color i wanted but had it transferred from another dealer that day. I have to say i had never thought of a Jeep before but when i saw the new design and then test drove it. I was sold! It is much bigger than previous models, but i love the ride, the handling and the look of the overall cabin. I have always driven luxury cars and have to say that it compares in quality and comfort to those of BMW, Lexus and Audi's.

Have roughly 1,500 miles on a Laredo with the 26X package, Trailer Tow Group, Panoramic sunroof, and Off Road Adventure 1 package. Fit and finish seems about as good as previous MBs and BMWs. The driving experience is great with quiet ride and responsive handling for an SUV. Interior materials are (finally) what they should be. Sight-lines seem more limited and the UConnect system is ok, but takes some getting used to. Adaptive transmission needs a better learning algorithm. Very pleased so far and looking forward to driving in the mountains this ski season. Paid $38K for those interested.

Have driven about 5,000 miles with no complaint. The vehicle is everything I had hoped. Mileage is almost exactly as promised averaging 20 to 22 for our type of mostly rural driving, the V6 is very smooth and quiet and gets the job done just fine (we dont do any towing). MPG readout is a bit optimistic. Unlike our old CR-V the JGC is quiet enough for front and back seat occupants to carry on a conversation. I like the firmness of the seats though I can understand why some may feel they are too firm. Overall quality is superb with little road noise and no squeaks or rattles.

I bought mine in July. I have 7000 miles. Poor Gas mileage, Front drivers seat is uncomfortable, U Connect does not work good,Satellite radio fades in and out when you go under trees limbs. Overall I wish I had not bought the vehicle, I definitely would not recommend anyone else buying one. I am planning on getting rid of mine as soon as possible. You cannot even go 35 miles per hour with the windows open because of the rear Thumping noise from the rear window. The standard wheels might as well be steel black rims, at least they would look good manufacturers stop trying to fool the American public and stop trying to be so cheap

I've owned 2 Chevy Trailblazers, a Durango, and a Ford Explorer and the Grand Cherokee is in a class all by its self. The total quality of the vehicle is very impressive. The instant we got in one I could see it was head and shoulders above anything I had owned so far. The Trailblazer I had was a SS with the 390 HP Corvette engine. The Jeep has the 5.7 hemi with slightly less power but the quality is so much better in every respect. I never expected this good a ride from an SUV.

How do you begin to describe such a refined and magnificent vehicle? I will start by saying that the engineers finally have outdone themselves on this one. I purchased the Overland 4X4 model for my wife with the V-8 engine and every single option under the sun. The ride is completely amazing as well as the flawless detail of the leather interior. The outside rode noise is nonexistent even driving next to a semi truck. The heated and vented seats are thoroughly enjoyable as well as the lumbar support. Fuel economy is very good considering the V-8 (20 MPG HWY). Try comparing the vehicle with a Porsche Cayenne S with the same options and you would pay MUCH MORE! My wife LOVES it.

I traded a ram truck on the Laredo with the leather and hemi engine. Edmunds does not list the hemi engine in the review drop down menu for some reason, you listening edmunds? With the hemi it flat out moves..quickly. Of course gas mileage is terrible but I knew that trading from a hemi truck. Quality seems good so far but I only have 800 miles on it. The Cherokee is not a very large vehicle, I wish it was just a tad bit larger but it has good drivability. If you can afford it get the quadra lift and 20 inch wheels and quadra drive for better function and driving.

I am completely happy that I saw the commercials and read the reviews about the new 2011 Jeep grand Cherokee. What an amazing vehicle. I purchased the overland 4x4 v8 hemi engine. This new Jeep is so smooth to drive and gets great gas mileage for a v8 (21 hwy) the quality and workmanship is Superior to any luxury SUV on the market. I have had this SUV for a month and a half. It rides great. Not truck like at all. Great exterior and interior. Quality of the interior is the best I've seen and felt. I bought the V6 and it's power is adequate, not great, but not weak either. I personally don't think you need the Hemi unless you want to tow something heavy. My biggest complaint is the Nav/ Uconnect system. The voice recognition poor. You can't type in the phone number you want to call. You can't see a list of your contacts to select via touchscreen. I prefer the nav/computer system in my BMW. Graphics on the Nav is really poor, but I didn't buy it for that, rather it's great ride and off road ability

I have had 2 Grand Cherokees prior to this one. (1995 and 2000) I had no reliability problems, but Jeep never made substantial improvements. Both of these older vehicles rocked from side to side, and the interior and overall quality left a lot to be desired. My new 2011 V-8 Limited with 20" wheels provides a completely different ride. The leather interior is 1st class (no BMW hard plastic feel) It is so quiet, and feels so solid. The electronics are lots of fun, and the Garmin NAV in the 430N system is great. Although it feels a little large to drive it's pure comfort. (sold my Escape Hyb for the Jeeps towing power) I hate to say it, but except for the mpg there is nothing like a V-8.

This new machine blows it out of the water, love the exterior shape along with the Inferno Red, I get lots of thumbs up from other drivers. I wanted another Jeep with the V8 due to towing needs, this 5.7L definitely gets the job done with fairly good fuel economy, having gotten 23 mpg (at 75 mph cruise) on a recent long distance trip. This thing eats miles in superb style, exceedingly comfortable Euro like ride and handling, you're not tired at the end of the ride! Jeep has really knocked this one miles out of the proverbial ballpark, my sister wants one now.

Shopped the new Overland hard against the Lexus GX470 and RX350. Next to the Overland, there was no comparison. The Overland comes equipped with everything! Honestly don't know why anyone would buy a Limited with packages when the car comes in costing more then the Overland and has less features. Had to track this car down to sit in one before ordering mine, and found too many Jeep salesman who did not know as much about the car as I did(having done my HW), and not as much excitement as I felt the car deserves. That said the Jeep line 800- 935-JEEP is FANTASTIC, answered every question I had, clarified salesman misinformation, and were sooo on the ball! This car is a DREAM to own!

I chose the Laredo "X" package 4X2 which includes the perfect choice of features for those of us that want all of the gadgets without the fluff and bling. kudos to Chrysler for not making the laredo look like a cheap stepchild to the Limited. The V6 is a great engine. Extremely quiet and loaded with low end torque. I'm very pleased with the 19 mpg I'm getting in city driving. That's 3 mpg better than the rating! Ride/handling is very confident and refined. Interior is quiet and the climate system fan is hushed too. I think it looks great and so far, it's been a pleasure to drive. Radio is great (Nav/Sirius unit), intuitive to use. Nav is great as it shows you directions on Nav screen and, when hidden, directly in front of you between speedometer and tachometer. Time will tell on build quality and reliability, but I've had good luck so far with the jeeps. Noticed that stepping up into jeep seems higher (I'm 6'1").

I got a Laredo 'X' package and could not be happier. In order to get the V8 Hemi on a Laredo you have to get the X package which comes with leather seats, my Gig radio, auto climate control, etc. My only options were the panoramic sunroof and a towing package. The GC has a smooth and very quiet ride. I was driving a Magnum RT with a Hemi and wanted to add 4x4 and towing to the Mercedes inspired ride. The GC has a back seat that is just as roomy and comfortable as the Magnum and has slightly more cargo room in back. I like being off the ground again in an SUV - it just feels safer.

Glad to be a Jeep owner again

I have had a 99 Jeep Cherokee and an 04 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo in the past, both were reliable but neither had anything that was extraordinary. I finally left the Jeep world and drove a Dodge Charger RT (with a Hemi) for the past 3 years. I loved the speed and power of the Charger, but missed the capabilities of an SUV. I was about to give up on the Chrysler Group altogether until I heard about the new 2011 JGC. Oh my goodness, its fantastic! Within the first 2 minutes of the test drive I knew I was going to buy it. Jeep has done such a wonderful job in recreating this vehicle. The interior resembles that of any high-end luxury car and the outside looks great too! Love it!

I have had people stop me in the parking lot and tell me that they used to have a Cherokee in the 90's, and the raw looks of the 2011 will get them back in a new Cherokee. I am absolutely in love with this vehicle! It is 4" wider, 2" taller and 2" shorter in length. The finish is fantastic. The technology is amazing. The ride is tight and it is very roomy for someone 6'1".

As the owner of a BMW X5, I was not expecting the quality and performance I got with the new 2011 Cherokee. so far its great! Firm solid ride with better than average ergonomics. best of all its a true all terrain four wheel drive. If it holds up half as well as my trade in, (1993 Laredo 206,000 miles) I will be happy.

Just took delivery of our 2011 Grand Cherokee Limited w/ 5.7 Hemi. This is our 7th GC Ltd in a row, beginning with a 1993. It is light years ahead of any of the others we've owned, and we've mostly liked them as they suit our purposes particularly snow driving in ski season up north. I Have a Mercedes S-500 and a Corvette, and this Jeep is finished to a much higher degree than either, both of which i purchased new. The quality and features are superb, and we feel the vehicle is an unbelievable value at an msrp of about $44,000. We were able to buy it better than that and are completely satisfied so far. After four Acura MDX's and less kids living at home, I was looking to downsize. Drove the Audi Q5, Nissan Murano, Acura RDX, as well as a few others. All were either too small or drove like a minivan. I Stopped by the Jeep dealer on a whim and drove the 11 GC. I was pleasantly surprised; Jeep has definitely gotten it right this time. Power is as responsive as our 08 MDX, steering is not as heavy, and ride is quite smooth. Cabin is beautiful with all the right tech features. I would highly recommend shopping the Jeep against all the midsized imports. You will not be disappointed and it certainly is the most bang for your buck!

After coming from a 2010 Volvo XC70, it is clear that the Jeep is better in every regard. After moving from Florida to Alaska, a vehicle with more off-road capability was necessary. To see how good the vehicle really was I drove the whole way. 5000 miles later, my only complaints are that the rear seat is on the smaller side and the front seats don't massage. The Jeep makes up though by being the far most capable off road in the group I tested (Infinti QX56,Hummer H2 and H3, Cadillac Esclade, and Lexus Lx570 as well as having the smoothest ride. Front seats are very comfortable and have good array of adjustments. This vehicle is great and should be able to bring Chrysler back into the game.

Any new vehicle is a mixed bag of hope and disappointment. My 2011 JEEP Grand Cherokee is no different. If Chrysler was looking for this vehicle to reinvigorate the JEEP line, they should have ditched the penny pinching and built a better vehicle. I was most perturbed at the crippleware electronics. Buttons exist for features that are not enabled. I'm not keen on paying another $1,200 for three dip-switches to be flipped on electronics that are already in my vehicle. Having the chance to really bring forward a WOW vehicle. Chrysler is still "business as usual". Fail

Very quiet and smooth on the road. Nice tight turning radius. Mileage about what expected - hitting EPA estimates. Premium highway cruiser. Good looking interior. Comfortable seats. Antenna catches on my garage door and is too high. Low beam headlights are terrible - had them checked but they only project ~ 30yds. They are recessed too far and the hood cuts them off.

My wife wanted a new Equinox or Acadia but after we saw the new 2011 JGC on the lot she fell in love with it. The V6 has tons of power and its extremely smooth on any road surface. Even though ours is just technically all wheel drive it has great traction on dirt and gravel and wont slip when the gas it pushed hard. interior is very elegant for a jeep. We have never even considered buying a jeep until we really looked into the new JGC. If you are looking into ANY type of crossover, take some time with the new JGC, it will make you think twice.

I replaced a 2001 Nissan Pathfinder that had never given me any trouble so going back to a vehicle with a domestic badge was a tough decision. However, I must say that my 2011 GC limited 4x4 (v6 motor) is smoother, quieter and more responsive than my Pathfinder ever was. Exterior and Interior fit and finish is excellent. The GC handles very much like a sports sedan with great stability in corners compared to the truck like SUVs of old. I have taken several long trips in the GC since my purchase logging 4000 miles and the GC has been great. The V6 has plenty of power to cruise the interstate with little to no engine noise. I'm very happy with GC.

Overall nice looking car but reliability I really question. We have had this car in the shop twice under 30 days. The first fix was on the motherboard for the fuel economy variable value timing for the v8. Dealer stated this was a known problem in manufacturing and was replaced. Fixed seemed to work. 2. Software in the car appears flawed, constant blue tooth conductivity issues, key less Enter-N-Go works off/on,key sensor loses key inside car so alarm will go off driving down the highway, button to lock car on exterior will work off and on,keys were inside car and car locked. Currently in the shop fixing these problems.

I bought this car for my wife. # 1 in our list was the Toyota Highlander then we drove this Jeep. Interior quality is of a German car, every detail is of very high quality there is not a single part I can find for cost saving. Stereo ever though is basic form, is great and Voice controls are very accurate even more so than my Infiniti M35. Only gripes I have are based on the model and you get them all with the Limited and Overland. One thing that blew me away was MPG I got 30.9 MPG on the highway.. On a large SUV, my infiniti is lucky to get 22mpg on the same trip.Rides like a $$$ luxury car. I want to sell my infiniti ASAP to get me the Limited V6 model panoramic with panoramic roof and 4x4.

I actually bought the 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland 5.7 Hemi V8 4WD. I loved it, but about 10 days after I bought it it started to have electrical problems that caused the engine to die while in motion. The dealership where I bought it were clueless about what good service is so I took it to another jeep dealership and they have been wonderful. But, the vehicle has been there for a week now. The part needed, the engine computer, has to come from Detroit and may be on back order. So it may be some time before I see my Jeep and my rental car is becoming very expensive. So I would not recommend the new Jeep until they iron out some of its mechanical problems.

The ride is more pleasant than the Rover, comfort level of interior is higher, ease of use rates better and overall satisfaction with the Jeep is much better than the Rover not to mention how much better the gas mileage is!

Traded in the 2005 Rocky Mountain Edition 4x4 JCG,which I absolutely loved. Have been waiting for 1 year for the new 2011.Purchased the 4x4 6 cyl 26X pkg. (same color Inferno Red) What took me a couple of weeks to get used to was the wider/higher size. A few blind spots & I wasn't as comfortable changing lanes. But I do love it now! The interior is 100% improvement. The media center/stereo system is fantastic. Great not having to carry all my CD's w/ ability to download to the media hard disk drive. Love the rear assist camera and flawless smooth ride. Mostly small city driving, so do not care if I have 6 or V8 , but much better pick up with the 3.6 L, 6 cyl. than the previous 6 cyl.

I compared a lot of SUVs- especially the Toyota Venzas and Highlanders. Both are a joke content wise and price wise compared to the new Jeep. I was going through the motor mall and saw this Jeep parked out front. It did not take too long for me to drive it home. The interior is utterly amazing- I am still trying to figure out all the gadgets it has- none that were even offered by Toyota. The interior blows Toyota's and Lexus' out of the water. The car is so quiet, I have to look at the tach to make sure the engine is running. If this is what Chrysler is going to offer from here on out in the rest of their new cars, the company will not only survive, but thrive!

I love my spouse's 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee so much, I traded my vehicle in for an Overland edition all my own. I nearly held out for the even larger Dodge Durango based on the JGC because of it seating up to 7-8 passengers over Jeep's 5, but could not pass up the excellent deal on this fine SUV. The AWD Overland V8 is the way to go if hauling. Even with a heavy boat attached, this vehicle moves - and how! The ride is far better than the large offerings from Cadillac, Range Rover and Lincoln that I looked at. The interior is richer, more comfortable, a lot quieter and of a much higher built quality. The sunroof is terrific. Visibility is the best of all luxury 'utes I have ever seen. Wow!

I looked at the SRX, MKX, Benz ML, BMW X5, Lexus and compared the features and cost to the 2011 Jeep. The JGC wins hands down. The previous years the inside was never roomy, it was a tight fit. This new jeep is everything u want in an SUV-roomy, first class interior and quiet ride. It is completely redesigned from inside out. If you can afford it, get the Overland, I'm so glad I did. It is worth every penny and I won't mind writing my check every month! Jeep has outdone themselves! Great Job

What a piece of junk. After only 250 total miles, my car suddenly turned off in the middle of a busy highway. The engine would not turn over - had to have it towed. The dealer is telling me that the engine will not recognize the key(s)- we tried both. Based on this, caution to off roading - very disappointed being a BMW and Ford Expedition owner where at least a warning light will come on when something is wrong. You get nothing with the Jeep! Even when the car will not start you get no warning. My dealer call back is questionable as well. I am used to BMW service and follow-up; thank god I kept the BMW. So now that Fiat is here I hope they look into this issue.

We are a Ford family, but were not really impressed with the current Ford lineup as there just wasn't anything very exciting available. I was (and still am) interested in the 2011 (or 2012) Explorer reboot, but I wanted a new ride sooner. I researched the heck out of every mid-size SUV out there. For the money and build quality, this one cannot be beat. I picked up my Laredo X as soon as it hit the dealership lot. I've never viewed the Grand Cherokee as a practical family hauler. The 2011 changes all of that. I feel very safe driving this beauty and my kids love it. Handles great, rides great, looks great.

Kept telling myself after it comes out - wait 6 months to purchase but I didn't. Saw it - drove it- loved it - ordered it and now own it. Interior, exterior, features, functions, just love it all. Larger than my other one but still love to drive. Didn't like the 2005 - 2010 square body style - so happy with this one. I am 36 years old - and this is my first BRAND NEW CAR - I have ever owned. It definitely was well worth the wait. Go Jeep :)

After coming from a 09 Grand Cherokee it is clear that it has improved in almost all categories. Off-Road capability, second row room, cargo space, ride quality, and almost everything else is better by leaps and bounds. Test drove the Nissan Murano, Ford Edge, and Toyota Venza. Almost purchased the Venza but the ability to go-off road was more important the car- like ride. i have yet to go off- roading but did traverse some steep snowy gravel mtn. roads in NC and it gave no drama. Picked up a 2011 Limited with the V8 and all available options. Traded in a 2001 GC Limited for this one. What a difference 10 model years make! Lots more power, drives a lot nicer, and looks better but the biggest difference is all the creature comforts and gadgets that have been added to the interior. (Ventilated seats are awesome on these 100 degree August days) Dealers do not seem to be offering much of a discount from MSRP on these in our area, but I was still able to get them to come down a little bit. It seems that everybody is confident in this vehicle -- hopefully Chrysler can follow this one up with more great new models.

Driven Caddy Escalades for years, but the 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland is the ultimate. Ride/handling and high- grade/sturdy materials inside and out rank #1. Ahead of vehicles costing far more. A top contender for "car", "truck" and SUV of the year. It is everything! Rough and tough, yet smooth as silk. AWD system rivals our Range Rover. The leather is classier and it is far better built. Room, viability, panorama roof make it a breeze for people of all sizes and shapes to ride and drive in complete comfort. The Cadillac and RR are too lanky, tippy and cumbersome w/ distance too hard to judge. I urge everyone to test drive the '11 JGC. You will be amazed. It is as great off road as on.

Either my wife or myself have had the comparable products. The last being the ML Benz. When taking the "mine" ML to the dealer I passed Chrysler Jeep of North Olmsted and saw the 2011 Jeep. Out of blue I stopped in after servicing the ML. Surprisingly without being caused any stress by the salesman, I decided to drive one of these. AT roughly $25,000 less the the ML, the Jeep has the ride, the quite, the handsfree cell, Nav. with traffic. I drive a great deal, also spend the drive time on the phone. This new jeep is the best deal out there. I must say that they sold me one, and after my wife went with me to pick up the car, she ordered one for herself! Thank you.

I was looking at the Edge, MDX, Outback, Venza, Sorento, Explorer and Murano. Went into the Jeep dealership to value my trade and came out purchasing the 2011 Grand Cherokee Laredo with the 25X package. Hands down, the best bang for your buck. I purchased the V6 which was more than adequate, the V8 will have you flying. Amazed by the interior, which is literally like no other Jeep product I have stepped into. Exterior speaks for itself. Bought it last week and very happy. Took it from Florida to Virginia and had ample passing power on the highway and performed flawlessly in the Mountains. Seats are very supportive and comfortable. It's hard to believe this is a body-on frame SUV telling by the ride.

Excellent

I have never owned a better vehicle, simply because there isn't. Went out and test drove G55 AMG, LR4, Land Cruiser, Range Rover, and Range Rover Sport. Non-of them were civilized on road and lacked true-off road capability, particularly the LR4. Almost jumped on the Benz when I drove by the jeep dealer. There it was, sitting up high on display. Did a U- turn and drove in with a Lexus Gx 460 and drove out with the jeep. It may lack the prestige, but was by far the most car-like on road and capable off. Its also nice to be driving American.

We just bought a new 2011 Jeep GC Limited Overland 4x4 with the 5.7L Hemi V8. I had read a lot of rave reviews so we had to see for ourselves and this truck is as close to perfection as it gets!!! Forget it's a Jeep and you will think your sitting in and driving a Mercedes ML or GL, probably because Mercedes-Benz helped design this new Jeep GC before they cut ties with Chrysler. Design, materials, build quality, ride quality, etc. are on par or better than all other luxury SUVs most costing much more than this new Jeep. This truly feels like a 50-60 grand vehicle but we got it in the low $40K range. If all new Chrysler products follow this new Jeep's lead they will be around for years.

Range Rover Worthy! Worth EVERY Penny.

The 2011 JGC Overland is the best vehicle I have ever driven. The ride, handling, interior refinement, exterior detail, paint luster, amenities and performance are unsurpassed. First rate materials inside and out! The pearl-coat paint is suburb. Rich authentic interior wood accents; sumptuous leather seating areas, dashboard surfaces and door trimmings are unheard of in such an affordable vehicle; and the contrasting color carpeting is gorgeous, appropriately tough and pleasant on one's feet. Everything rivals the costlier Range Rover. The large panoramic sunroof lights up the high quality interior whether opened for fresh air or closed. The sunshade is smooth to operate when need be. Sharp!

I was looking at the Pathfinder and 4runner when I ran into the 2011 GC. Test drove the truck and fell in love. Hands down you can't beat the price for what is included inside. Drove both the V6 and V8 and thought the V6 was adequate and better on the gas. I would recommend the V8 if you want to fly. Went with the 26X package with the panoramic sunroof. Amazing. This car will be with me for a while. Well done Detroit.

I researched vehicles for about a year. I was really excited about the new Ford Explorer, as we are a Ford family, but we needed a new vehicle sooner than "Winter 2011" as the Ford site shows. I have always loved the Jeep Cherokee's looks, but never considered purchasing based on the sparse utilitarian interior and rough ride. The new design puts all of that behind it. Beautiful interior, stylish exterior, smooth (Mercedes ML) ride, and respectable price ($36,675 for the Laredo X 4x2), make for a great formula. I do believe that the days of Japanese and European vehicles being superior to American products are over. Nice going, Jeep.

Just picked up the new jeep and took it on a trip to northern Michigan. It is a wonderful SUV and everything is better then the previous version. This is the first jeep I am happy to park next the BMW's and Audi's at the office. Looks great and is good value for the money.

This is my 4th gc and it is certainly the best. Excellent ride quality. 5.7l hemi is very powerful. Great lines. Great interior. Feels huge inside compared the previous model. Very comfortable. Smooth transmission shifting. I would highly recommend this Jeep to someone wanting a luxury- quality SUV with true off-road performance. Excellent job Chrysler/Jeep! Home run.

Just purchase 2011 grand cherokee limited with 5.7 v8. Dealership was great and the Jeep is even better. Glad that Jeep has found its way back and this model should reestablish the brand as the one to buy. Tested SUVs from lexus, toyota, hyundai, acura, chev, and honda and the Jeep is by far not only the better vehicle but the best value.

I was casually looking for a replacement for an SUV to replace my BMW 335 when I happened to drive by a Jeep dealer one evening. The Grand Cherokee they had parked out front literally made me stop in my tracks. It looks good in pictures, but incredible in person! The build quality is on par with the X5 and the price of a new 2011 Jeep was less than a comparable CPO 2008-09 BMW. I don't get stuck on badges, I just want a high-quality vehicle that's worth my hard-earned cash. The 2011 Grand Cherokee is definitely a great buy.

Just bought it, I was amazed at the quality of their new products (our 2010 ram Laramie and now our 2011 Jeep limited 5.7) this Jeep is a true luxury SUV .
