I bought this car new in Sept. 2010. No problems over 118 K miles (mostly freeway) Excellent mpg as per sticker info. Highest road mileage 33 (actual not computer) results mostly flat driving but some long hill climbing. Consistently gets 28 to 29 mpg highway, 22 city. The 4 cylinder has plenty of power for long climbs and passing and transmission does not hunt for a gear while climbing hills like my Honda did. In reference to the ride quality comments by most here, I notice the car rides much better when loaded with more weight than when it's just me driving. Seems to have SUV like suspension. (stiffer) This car is still on the original set of breaks. My mechanic says they have more than 80% remaining. Seating is excellent for large and tall people and the seats have great support. Cons: Poor rear compartment lighting as others have stated. I added a light to the side wall. Back light for radio info is impossible to see in bright day light and the dash light dimmer knob feels sooo cheap and is awkward to use compared to my Honda and Camry. ( why did you do that Toyota?) Other con: Bluetooth very poor quality sound. (I don't use it as no one could understand me) Over all this has been a great car hope to get a full 200 K out of it. I Wish Toyota were still making them. (almost bought a Chevy Equinox but because it's made in Canada and the Venza was made in Kentucky..I bouoght the USA made car). Good job Georgetown. (:

I love the reliability, great looks, comfortable ride and functionality. The interior finishes are average. I hate the loud creaking and cracking noise which eminates from my rear sunroof when I go over the smallest imperfection in the road. Dealer had vehicle for an entire week and gave up trying to find this noise. I'm embarrassed to travel with my clients. This noise started around 60,000 miles and is nearly unbearable at 80,000 miles. There's no good reason a $30,000 car should sound like it's coming apart at the seems with only 80,000 easy miles on it. I had planned to keep this car for 200,000 miles. I'll be replacing it with any vehicle other than a Toyota.

We had the car for 4 years and 1 month over 89,000 miles. We averaged 22K miles per year, never had any issues at all, only replaced tires and battery. We got combined 25.6 mpg on the original Bridgestones, harder riding tires. Replaced with Dunlop tires, then dropped to a combined 24.7 mpg, but it was a much better and smoother riding tires, worth losing 1 mpg. The car was always a pleasure to get on the road and travel and vacation in.

Great car overall but with a few issues

I'm going on a little over 4 years with my 2010 Venza, and I still love it. I have very low mileage (32,500) due to using public transport for my daily commute, so I'm still anxious to see how the reliability holds up as the miles increase. The car is nice to drive, handles well, and I love the space available. The gas mileage is ok. I will agree with some of the other reviewers that the ride can be a little bumpy at times, but I knew that was possibility because of the large rims and smaller profile tires. I also have had some interior creaks and rattles that can be annoying, especially because the interior build quality seems pretty decent. Overall I am very pleased with the vehicle.

"Okay" car overall, but wouldn't buy again

pros: edgy body style, roomy interior, auto-up/down on all windows, fun "gadgets" (i.e. push-button start, voice activated phone, remote open/close rear hatch, touch-lock door handles), panoramic roof, reclining rear seats. cons: pretty bad rear and side/rear visibility when changing lanes/passing (a consequence of the edgy body style mentioned above). Blind spots have led to close calls more than once. This alone is enough to make me regret my purchase. Rear view camera is too limited to be of much help. Mileage is pretty poopy. No rear dome light when you open rear hatch in the dark (very odd oversight).

People need to realize all cars have there potential problems, its part of owning a vehicle. If you look on here, there are only a few neg reviews, which are mostly prompted by an unhappy customer. They sold 48k Venzas in 2010. If you only have a few bad reviews on Edmonds, its a safe bet the car is fine in general. I perfectly happy with mine, not one problem. Poor ride quality could be attributed to air pressure in the tires. Too much pressure=stiff ride. My Venza is great. Never an issue. If your looking to buy a Venza don't let a few reviews affect your decision. If you find a vehicle on here that does not have one problem, let me know what it is, cause I want one.

I purchased my car in Nov 2011, didn't notice the bumpy ride right away. I love everything about the car except the ride. I've been told it's the tires. Does anyone else have this problem and if so what have you done about it? I hate to spend the money on new tires and that does not solve the problem. Although I have read other blogs and people have complained of the bumpy ride....great car but I want a smoother ride....HELP!!! wjfun

Love the vehicle. Hate having the Toyota sevice department know me by first name! All was well in the first year and half of owning our fully loaded 2010 Venza AWD. Recently the car developed a clunk in the rear, this required an extensive rear suspension repair. the noise has returned 3 months later! The transmission started to shudder and slip, Toyota replaced it saying its fairly common on the AWD model. This car only has 27,000 careful miles. I think it has more squeeks and rattles than the 02 Dodge Caravan that this Venza replaced.

The new has worn off :(.........Troubles at 30k

Vehicle has many rattles appear after 30k miles or so, transmission is getting a factory replacement as i write this (Toyota says transmission failures are common in our hilly area). Interior seat quality is poor, our leather is looking very worn out already. Had to replace the battery and recharge the A/C as well. We are a couple in our late 50's and always look after our vehicles. Having very mixed emotions about this vehicle and i doubt we'll keep it past the warranty.

It has been a year ( and 2 weeks) Since I got my 2010 Toyota Venza. It's Fun To Drive compared to my previous vehicle (2000 toyota 4runner). The sterring may be light but it is very agile. The ride is bumpy but I got over it. It's Great in the snow. I feel safe in it and it handles well in wet conditions. The color is fantastic. Very comfortable seats and good (front visibility) the Back up camera helps alot. The bluetooth streaming audio is fabulous.

Although stylish and roomy, the Venza's gas mileage, even for a 4 cylinder, is poor compared to what is advertised, especially since we are careful, conservative drivers. It might be the overly sensitive accelerator pedal that results in excess gas consumption. The ride is not smooth either compared to the Ford Escape (we have had an Escape for 2 years). The satellite radio does not perform as well as it does in the Ford models such as the Escape. The dashboard mileage display screen is wired way too sensitive and cannot be adjusted.

We love our Venza . It works well for my wife and as well for me. Plenty of room in it. We have had it for 1 year. The only issue we have had it the gas milage. we are going by the computer gas meter and it says 17.3. When we first got it at the dealer it showed 16.1 and we ask the dealer if that was the real milage and they said that was just because of it sitting on alot. My wife is a real easy going driver and the computer gas meter always says 17 .3 to 17.5 in normal driving. We dont know if the computer is off or not. I had some friends that brought the exact car and engine from the same place and they get 23 normal driving and 26 on the highway . Disappointed in gas milage computer.

MyVenza was purchased new. After 6 months and 7,500 miles, it drives just like new! Have not had one problem with my Venza. The ride is smooth, just came back from a 500 mile trip! Gas mileage was 27 mph overall for the trip! I have the 4 cyl. At 182 Hp it is very sufficient! The Venza is versatile, the cargo space is excellent. Seats fold down all or 1/2! Plenty of storage space! Electric back door is great Sound system is also excellent, especially the blue tooth phone and streaming audio from my IPhone. Start button is great! The only issue is with the small back up camera. screen is way too small! I have had many suv's, this drives like a car, but sits up high. I would buy another!

Ok i got my venza back in 2010 in sept and i have been pleased ever since. It is very stylish and people stare at it when i drive by. Its very comfortable. I just found out the dashboard was padded! What a suprise never touched it. Everything is ergonomically correct. Visibility is great from the front but but as good in the back i really dont care because i have a back up camera. A bird was stuck in my grill and i tried to get it out and it fell to the bottom of the grill and now i have to take it to the toyota dealership to get it out.

This car is ergonomically sound. I really enjoy how comfortable it is. Road trips are fantastic in this vehicle. Even better than the '07 Camry I had before. It provides a very smooth ride yet it has a beefy enough suspension and clearance to handle some of the more challenged roads in America. Even though I have the 2.7 liter DOHC engine, the performance is sound. Coupled with the 6 speed transmission, it makes carrying five passengers and luggage effortless.

Toyota & Lexus GPS is a RIPOFF!!! We weren't looking for an installed GPS, however the Toyota we liked happen to have this PIECE of JUNK! At 5-MPH the ENTIRE GPS, CD player, Bluetooth & phone control locks down and is unusable. Voice control, LOL.. say store, hospital or police and it'll show you the nearest golf course. Research all you can, there is NO override option; ask Toyota and they'll give you a big fat [violative content deleted]... 'Sucka'. Too overcome this pathetic $2500 short coming with 4yr old maps, I keep a $200 Garmin in the car and my cell phone handy. In addition, Toy-Rip-U-Off has replaced quality dent resistant fenders and paint with Detroit Crap.

I purchased this car in December of 2010 and now have about 5,000 miles on it. My wife wanted it mainly to haul her dogs and for trips back and forth to the cabin. For both purposes it is a good car; lots of cargo capacity (as much as an Outback), nice hatch opening and the seats lay flat (unlike the new Chevy Equinox). For dirt roads and bad weather the AWD is great, plus the car has the clearance of an SUV without the sub-20 mpg. On average, we get about 23.5 mpg in mixed driving. Oddly, it never gets over 24 on the highway, but we've only owned it in colder months and with lots of ethanol in the gasoline. The seats are comfortable, it handles great, looks great and is powerful

Such an easy vehicle to fall in love with at first, but the longer i own it the more problems its having. This car is a rattlebox..plain and simple, after 40k miles i've just learned to accept it...Toyota can't fix this, last time they removed the dashboard and windshield to replace the dash support, i think i just hear more rattles now. It's on its third battery, i've had more jumpstarts owning this for 2yrs than in my 22yrs of driving. Had a problem with the A/C pump this WINTER! It siezed up apperently for no reason. Now i'm starting to feel the transmission starting to do some strange things....Oh my

I was looking for an AWD vehicle to replace the FWD Toyota Camry Hybrid (great car). the winter travel in New England has become too tough without AWD. I searched hard and had considered Volvo, Lexus and BMW crossovers. The Venza won hands down with all the features of the competition and a price tag of $10-12K less. Personally, I have always had good luck with Toyota. The Venza is very comfortable and drives like a car. My only question had been whether to get the 4 or 6 cylinder. Better gas mileage won out (after all I was driving a hybrid) and I am not disappointed with the amount of zip the 4 cylinder has.

After purchasing my 10 Venza V-6 base, I read several comments and reviews trashing winter driving. I have since experienced one of the worst winters in the NY area, and had more than 35 inches of snow in three weeks. I have to say that my Venza handled it with ease. I mean NO PROBLEMS AT ALL. I felt confident, and the Venza went through it all with ease on local streets and highways back and forth to work. Great styling, comfy ride, although a bit hard and noisy when going over imperfections on the road because of the low profile tires. I feel good driving such a stylish car, at such a reasonable price. I enjoy driving it as much as my mercedes benz.

Its wider than the 2000 toyota 4runner (and alot more room). I love the interior quality. Everyone thinks that this car was like very expensive. mine was 30k. My cousin confused it with an infiniti. toyota did a great job on this car. the gas mileage is great about 320 miles per tank. I have the panoramic roof and its wonderful. I tested a lot of vehicles before leasing the Venza. Equinox had a rough acceleration it pulled to the right also had clumbsy dash board, cheap Navi plastic cover, Ford Edge got worse mpg's, Crosstour had a spoiler going through the back window(aka Aztek), Buick Lacrosse looked great, but hit head trying to enter the vehicle, tight seat, couldn't see over steering wheel without raising seat really high and had my head scratching the roof. I tried a lot of vehicles and Venza proved the best fit, mpg's and price with options. Wouldn't change the vehicle other than a few minor changes listed in consrunning through the rear window (Aztek),

We have had ours over a year now and 34,000 m. The first 20,000 miles were great, but lately lots of problems both major and minor have croped up. This cuv has many rattles inside, one required the removal of the windshield, dash assembly, and centre console to fix! now we just notice the other ticks, and creeks inside. The rear struts have been replaced twice now and the sub assembly re-shimed. the steering seems to wander, Toyota said this is the E-assist and is not adjustable. The interior materials are wearing VERY quickly and are of low quality. Currently it is on day 16 at the shop waiting for a new transmission, Common on this model they say. this is the E-assist and is non adjstable

I reviewed this vehicle after I purchased it. I'm now going over it again after 10k miles. It runs great. The AWD is awsome in the snow. Can't even tell it kicks in, but there is very little slipping during acceleration. Summer mpg's were 22-23, winter is more in the 20-21 mpg's, closer to 20. Still very good for AWD. No major problems or complaints. Could use a heated backside of the seat and heated steering wheel, but other than that its great. I tested a lot of vehicles before leasing this one. The Venza had a lot more to offer and drives much nicer. It turns through cornors with ease and accelerates very quickly. The exterior looks set it apart from the rest.

Compare this car and my old Honda CR-V, it is huge different you can see, sense, feel. Etc. In the crv, the noise from road is disturb no matter you were talking with other passenger, on the phone or listen to the music. In venza, it is so comfort and quite. Just own this car for 2 days, maybe still in honey-moon, will posted more once noticed problem been discovered after while. Up to now, it is great.

Resembles a 2008 Lexus RX with fewer features and a reasonable price tag. Traded an '08 Outback for the Venza because of the need for more rear-seat room. The Venza's 4-cylinder engine is adequate but works hard on steep grades. The 6-AT is buttery smooth, which makes the engine tolerable. Quiet ride. Strong brakes. Solid feel. Build quality is above par, although the molding of a few dash panes could be better. Also, odd metallic sound from under the car is heard when the rear doors are closed. Comfortable, supportive seats. LOTS of passenger space. Clear gauges and instrumentation. Poor snow traction with OEM tires. Overall well-appointed base model. few interior dash panels

What can I say other than I love my Venza! Great car, this is our 4th Toyota purchase and by far the one with ALL the bells and whistles. This car has everything a driver could desire comfort, spacious, trendy, FAST and the list goes on. We drove to NC this weekend and the road trip was great. Gas mileage was good we got 345 miles to a full tank. It handles the road very well. I have the Sunset Bronze and have gotten so many compliments on the color. I must admit it is gorgeous, lol..but true:)

First, the huge tires create lots of noise and are very expensive to replace. Second, the c pillar is just to thick and long/angled and blocks views. I really feel that if they had put on normal tires and lowered the car an inch, I would get much better highway mileage, the car would be less noisy, and the cost for new tires would not be a shock. Otherwise, it is a very pleasant near-luxury wagon. I could have used another set of latch in 2nd row.

I just purchased my first 2010 Toyota Venza in Black. It drives excellent and my family feels safe in my new car. Toyota made me feel as if I was family and their service was excellent! My children enjoying riding in the new car and never want me to stop driving. My car is comfortable and the fuel expense is great! I would definitely recommend the Toyota Dealership to anyone so that they too can experience what I experienced. Its an amazing feeling when you purchase your first new vehicle and can leave the dealership with a smile on your face. I say Toyota will always be #1 in my book and I will definitely continue my communication with them as long as I am satisfied.

I am shocked when reading some of the reviews concerning the quality and refinement of the materials in the Venza. First of all let me say that I always have concerns about the knocks to this vehicle being in line with the over publicized recalls " I wonder "? I have owned 20 vehicles over a 35 year period and this vehicle rates up with the best of them, all of them have been in the 40 - 50k range. I do agree that a 18-19" wheel option should be available, although I love the look and except the slight stiffer ride of the 20" Interior quality is good and ergonomics great. if you considering the Venza buy with confidence.

After 1 month of ownership I've experienced no mechanical problems. Everything works as designed. The interior is of good quality and the outside design is progressive. The seats are comfortable. The dashboard is well designed and bright, very easy to find everything. There are a few blind spots while driving in the rear but once you get use to them you make accommodations and understand what needs to be done.

This is a very nice vehicle, but ours has been at the repair shop way too much> the list of problems range from minor to major, now at 36,000 miles the transmission failed, we had problems with the a/c pump unit, seat heaters, nav system, remote entry, and warped brake rotors. The fuel economy is dismal at 18 mpg with mostly highway driving. I do enjoy the features of this car, and it drives very well and feels safe. Seems I'm not alone as I have talked to several other venza owners that are having similar problems, we will not keep this one past the warranty!

It looks great, very nice to drive, i love all the features, but i will never buy another Toyota. Ours is getting a new transmission installed at the time i write this review- and its backordered, our service guy said its a common failure on awd Venzas. Our A/C quit needing a new compressor unit, right seat heater quit, front brake rotors warped, the nav system often freezes up, and after 32,000 miles this car rattles and is starting to feel old. It's a nice vehicle but i seriously doubt it will hold up well, my old 98 Rav4 felt better than this with 200,000 mi. While loitering around the service department waiting i can say I'm not the only one disappointed with my new Toyota!

It was actually a fun experience to shop for and buy at heartland, no pressure to buy, and more concern that we were going to be happy with what we were test driving. We of course have not used the service dept. Yet but expect to the same attitude when we do. Try a venza, I think they are fun to drive.

I love driving this vehicle as it has a smooth, quiet, and comfortable ride. I have read comments about this car having a cheap interior, but I think the interior is very well appointed and the controls are well placed. We also drove the Ford Edge and I liked it, but we have not forgiven Ford for handling a couple of inferior vehicles we purchased from them in the past. The Venza also cost less with more features than the Edge. The Venza is the most enjoyable vehicle I have ever owned.

Been researching cars for 6 months. I wanted something small enough to fit in the garage, regular fuel, back seat comfort, nav, XM, bluetooth, USB, auto closing rear hatch, sunroof, crossover/SUV style. I waited for the new Ford Edge to come out before I decided. Liked the Edge but couldn't justify the price premium ($5K more for comparable features). Yesterday in a parking lot it was parked right next to an RX350 and they looked exactly the same. Obviously they aren't comparable (test drove the RX350 and liked it a lot), but the Venza's also $15K less. I guess I'm used to cheap plastics, rough rides, and vague steering because it drives just like most cars I've driven. So far I'm satisfied.

I went from a Murano to the Venza. I need room for big product. It has the feel of a lexus without the same "see me, I have a Lexus" statement which I did not want for a company car. One business associate said the wheels looked like they belong in the hood. I took it as a compliment. It has a great feel and ample power. Our other vehicle is a BMW 330xi. This vehicle does not have that "grin while you drive" sense but I enjoy getting in it every day and I love the cargo bay. We are cyclists and are gone a number of weekends. We could put a full hitch on it and can haul lots of gear. I have not raved about a vehicle other than the Beemer in a long time. I think Toyota hit a home run.

I traded in my 2004 Murano on the Venza. My Murano's driver seat decided to break loose from one corner of it's side rails 2 days after my Nissan extended warranty expired and Nissan refused to fix it - even though I had not made a single claim against the warranty during my entire time owning it! I found out by researching online that this was a known, common problem with Muranos, yet they would not offer me any assistance other than to quote me a mere $750 to fix i!. My Venza is way more responsive that the Murano, wider and more spacious feeling, a lot less top heavy feeling in turns and the glass roof is way cool!

I have to say we were intending to purchase a Prius after driving one on vacation. The trade in was our Cadillac CTS that was stylish and fun to drive but uncomfortable on trips. Needless to say, the Venza blew us away after a test drive. The passenger comfort front AND rear (rear seats recline) is just amazing. It is so roomy and offers plenty of luggage space for 4 passengers. The controls are easy to use, doors open wide and there are many cubbyholes and storage pockets. The ride and acceleration are excellent, the AWD operates smoothly and unobtrusively. We enjoy the styling and get many compliments as well, we are very happy with our decision a year later!

Decent gas mileage around 20-ish in the city and 26-28 on highway. Nice 20 in. alloy wheels! Great leather! Really nice quality! Great reliability so far! Great room in the trunk area. Nice to have a i-pod/Mp3 dock in your car. Everyone I know loves the styling. Was a little nevus buying a Toyota after the massive recall but I'm so happy I did. Best car ever! Would Highly recommend it. This is my first Toyota And most likely not the last.

I used to drive a 2004 Murano and I got the Venza as my next car. I very happy to report the Venza does a great job. I thought it would be hard to beat the no gear change in the Murano CVT, but the Venza is just as smooth switching gears. I was surprised the ride was much smoother than the Murano. I like the fact the Venza takes regular gas versus premium with the same gas mileage, but the gas tank is about 4 gallons smaller than the Murano (21.6/17.7) which causes about 80 miles less driving on a full tank. The interior is nice, but I wish the would have gone higher glass but that would probably make it a Lexus. The center storage is well designed and useful.

The Venza is a nice car, but ours has a flaw, that might be typical for this car. When the transmission is in drive and the car is at an incline, then it rolls back. The transmission does not catch the car. The dealership told us this is normal for Venzas and Camrys So it is either bad engineering or bad customer service. The car is somewhat fun to drive, but Toyota quality is not what it used to be. Some parts in the interior do not fit together appropriately. This indicates assembly problems. In addition, all Venzas are now affected by the pedal recall. It took Toyota about 6 months to admit that problem. Again bad customer service. My next car will not be a Toyota.

After 6 months I still like this car. I was given a loaner for a few days till mine came in. The loaner had Goodyear tires. (Junk) Mine came with Michelin. All most no noise, soft over bumps. The V6 has plenty of power, drove it 2400 miles in 10 days. through the smokey mountains the cruse control held with out downshifting. Average mpg was 25.6 across Ohio and lower Michigan it got 26.4 (I set the cruse at the posted limit) To work and back average is 24.1mpg. The seats are very comfy. 800 miles one day with no back or leg pain. Plenty of room for big shopping trips.

6 cyl venza bought in April now has 2,600 miles. Great car for the money with very nice features. Love the keyless entry! HDs are great. Nice leather, but too much hard plastic elsewhere (couple small rattles in dash and rear area). Almost all highway miles averaging 25 mpg at 70 mph with Cruise. The 6 cyl has great power when taking off, but the slightest incline causes it to downshift and that's been disappointing. Backup camera is useless. View is too small and with any light at all you can see nothing. Venzas we test drove had michelins and rode nicely. Ordered ours and it came with goodyears and the ride is harsh - feel every bump.

After a car accident with our 2007 Camry, we purchased the Venza with much optimism, With in 5K miles the gas pedal stuck on the floor mat, yikes! But we later removed the mat and had no more problems. Then the car was jumping forward and then the next day the all the dash lights were lit up and at 7,233 miles the transmission died. No help from Toyota, or the dealership to help us get rid of the lemon so we traded it into the Ford dealership and I am driving an Edge. I thought the negative comments about Toyota was just a bad press campaign but I guess the media got it right for once. My confidence with the car was eroded with these experience, and no one seems to care or wanted to help.

This is really my wife's car but she let's me drive now and again. Think it is great looking, options are great, performance is all we had hoped for. Ride is quiet and comfortable. I have seen some reviews that don't like the fact that there is no 3rd row seats, that is a big plus for us we have no need for these and in vehicles this size a 3rd row seat just squishes everything together. The Venza has more rear seat leg room than my Tahoe and is much more comfortable than the Tahoe's rear seat. We had narrowed our choice to either an RX350 or the Venza and I am more than happy with our choice and saving about 7k didn't hurt.

I have 1,500 miles on my brand new Venza 4cyl AWD, and I have knocking in the engine. This happens every day when I put it in drive and go. This vehicle is very deceiving when you initially buy it. Once you have been in it awhile, you realize all the fancy stuff surrounding you masks the quality problems. The noise level as other blogs are saying is true, loud. I'm concerned with other problems too, the driver window when half way down makes a rattle noise and the steering wheel when turning makes a ticking noise. I have owned a 89 Camry and 2000 4Runner and always sworn by Toyota, so I ignored all the bad PR and went out and bought this Venza. I should have listened to the news!

The Venza is my wife's new car that replaces her RX300. I have followed the Venza through it's concept to completion and was anxious to get in one. Now after putting 1000 mi on her car I have developed mixed emotions on my feelings about the car. First off it is a great value especially the lease we got. However it is not even close to the interior build quality of my wife's ex Lexus or my XC70 wagon. The interior is a bit lackluster filled with cheap plastic textured panels that trap the spring pollen and feel cheap. The cloth seats offer little support as well. The CVT 4 cyl is peppy bet needs time to wind up. The ride is a bit rough and at times reminiscent of motion sickness.

I have spent the last 8 months going through Edmunds.com, Motor Trend, Car and Driver, and the Consumers Reports magazines reading about this vehicle and it is every bit as much as these companies said it was. The ride, the handling, the Toyota name, I have a 2008 Highlander, and traded in a 2005 Highlander and the Venza is a much better vehicle than those two. I compared the Venza to the Ford Edge, the Nissan Murano, and the Lexus RX350 and the Venza came out on top in every category. The Surround Sound system sounds great no matter what you play.

Love the outside of this car. I would return this car tomorrow if I would not loose 34 thousand dollars. I have had it two weeks. The Glass windshield is 36 inches in width with no tint. The plastic black vinyl dash board is also 20 inches deep. Add all these up plus 95 degrees outside. It's like being in a barrel of burning oil. The dash board is ugly plastic it absorbs heat. Black. Horrible. I called the dealership once they have your cash forget it. Do not buy.

If you bought your previous vehicle five years or more ago, you will find the Venza a major step up in security and comfort. As a package, the multiple air bags, stability control, AWD, and crash scores top anything one could have bought, at any price, just a few years ago. Dual climate control, exceptionally well lit info displays, sound system, seating, and navigation system provide excellent comfort. This is a quiet car that gives one a feeling of confidence in a variety of driving conditions. We looked at Lexus RX350, Acura MDX, Audi Q7. Venza is a newer platform and many, many thousands less with competitive handling and all the important comfort features.

We bought a Venza from Boch Toyota in Norwood, MA in April. My wife drives it and loves the entire car. The many features and the way it handles makes it a perfect car. The many features such as the automatic lift on the rear hatch allows for easy storage. The car has comfortable seating and beautiful styling. Everywhere it draws favorable attention. You can't beat a Toyota for quality. We have had several different brands and now have a Highlander in addition to the Venza.

I have had for a month and it is everything I hoped it would be. Very comfortable, roomy and attractive. Been getting 22-24 MPG around town. Have not had on the open road yet. Look forward to our first long road trip next week.

We have owned our Venza for 3 weeks now and still can find no faults. We drove several other crossovers including the Highlander, Buick Enclave, Chevy Equinox and Traverse, Ford Edge, and we kept coming back to the Venza. It has good ground clearance yet very easy to get into and out of. We like the wide wheel base, good ride, and overall width of the vehicle which makes it very roomy and comfortable. I really like sitting up higher. The back seat also sold us in comparison to other SUVs. We were owners of a 2007 Camry XLE. We will miss the gas mileage of the Camry, but we now have a 6 cyl and AWD so that's the way it is, but so worth it. We went with the Blizzard Pearl and love it.

When my wife's car was totaled in an accident she decided to purchase an SUV/Crossover. We looked at the Venza, the Lexus, the Chevy and the Ford. It was not even close. We both agreed that the Toyota was the best car. Even though the Lexus was definitely a cut above, we could not justify the price differential. I am a Detroit patriot, I drive a Chevy van and a Z06, but there was no way I could convince my wife or myself that the Chevy or Ford product was even close. The Toyota is just a better product. We purchased the Toyota in March 2010 and have not been disappointed. I am surprised that Toyota does not highlight this car as a good value.

The Venza has been everything i expect so far. MPG 23.5 around town. Expect better of open road. More than enough power for my driving style. Family of 4 loves the room, comfort, sunroof and being able to play Ipod. Did not want the key-less system at first. But, have actually come to like the system.

I change vehicles every 2-3 years due to the amount of miles I drive. I have owned 2 Lexus (Lexi), 2 Audis and others. This is my favorite vehicle ever. I opted for the 4 cyl. to get the better gas mileage. I am getting 29 miles on the highway and 23 miles city. Incredible for a vehicle this size. I test drove the 4 cyl and the 6 cyl and bought the 4 cyl. Brought the salesman with me for the extra weight in the vehicle. We both weighed about 200 lbs. I didn't notice a considerable difference in power or acceleration. Others stated problems with seat comfort, fit and finish, yet I have 100% satisfaction. I love it. Everything I paid $27.733 for the LS with most all options.

I have test driven them all myself. From GM to Ford to Honda to Toyota. I tested many different makes and models. The Venza wins hands down. Just to give an example today it got windy while I was driving. I asked myself why the car seem hard to hold on the road. I couldn't hear the wind noise. It was that quiet. Got out of the car and it was really windy. This was while driving at 60 mph. Very roomy interior. A wide vehicle, but plenty of arm room with passenger. 3 children fit in back seat with room in between ages 8-10. 8 year old twins.

I bought a 2010 AWD 4cyl Venza in early April'10. I was assured no recall. 3 weeks later I got the recall notice for gas pedal, but they have no fix for the problem yet. Do not bring to dealer.(ok- sure) Have major problem with brake surges and not sure if going to fully stop sometimes. Brought to Toyota and they cut my rotors. I have 4400 miles on my car. I am very disappointed and leery to drive my car that I am absolutely stuck with as I cannot trade it at this point. Not a good feeling.

We bought my wife this car on Friday. I loved it so much that I had to go back to the dealer and get one for myself. This car is very well thought out when it was built. Everything is amazing on this car. I have an upscale 2009 Infiniti Crossover and when I compared the two side by side, you pretty much get the exact same upgrades for $10,000 less. I know Infiniti is a higher brand of car made in Japan, however, with what you get on the Venza comparing to the same class of cars across the board, hands down Venza wins. I compare cars for months before I buy, but this car was an impulse buy that I will not regret. Since we bought two Venzas, I got an awesome deal on the second one. LOVE IT!

This is in no way a bad review. I love this vehicle and know exactly why I choose the 4 cyl but I think Toyota could have done a better job with the pep of the engine. This is not a vehicle I would use to make quick moves with on the highway. I am 6'4" with very long legs and I fit in this thing like a KING! The roominess is my favorite feature. I'm a young guy (23) who is REALLY into technology and even I had to read the manual; they could have made the bluetooth setup a bit easier but its not bad overall. I think I may take mine in to have the dash looked at. Seems to be not set properly and the side airbag compartment isn't fit properly.

Had been driving Volvo XC70s for the last 13 years, and got tired of the station wagon styling, but wasn't willing to go to an SUV or mini-van. Loved the Venza the first commercial I saw. Finally found a slightly-used (2,300 miles) 2010 fully loaded, including navigation. Have had the car for 10 days and love it. It has great styling and is fun to drive. Ride is a little bumpy at times due to the 20" tires, but my XC70 had a similar feel. It feels very stable on winding roads. I haven't driven it at night to see how the auto dimming headlights work, but they seem like an interesting concept. Have already made one trip to the plant nursery and came home with a full load- easy loading.

But they said don't bring it in yet as they don't have a fix for the gas pedal yet. ok? (still not fixed) Went from Ford Explorer to Venza. Very different driving. Beautiful styling in &out. Back seat very comfortable. Bought 4-cyl and not enough pep for fast pull outs.Engine has to work hard. Should have bought 6 cyl. so take heed. Brakes are very strange. Had to bring in to dealer after 6 weeks to sand the rotors!! Never heard of such a thing. I am hesitant about this car and I have a 5 yr.loan. Hopefully it holds up like a Toyota used to.

This is the best AWD vehicle in its class. Traded in a 2004 Lexus RX330 which was a great car and thought we would stay with the RX350. But the Venza is built on a newer platform, has more room and costs $8000 less fully loaded with NAV and including all the features we care about. Handled well in late spring snow and does equally well on twisty mountain roads and city driving. Plenty of back room for three teenage boys who all top 6 feet.

Pearl, roof rack, Heated leather seats are great for the back (even in Fl.). Avg 26 around town and on trips to the east coast 33 mpg. Mileage improves if I use ETHANOL FREE gas by 2 mpg. The comfort, space and pick-up are ideal. It's easy getting into and out of and very comfortable driving (being 6'2") with plenty of storage and cargo space. This car has it all WITHOUT supporting foreign oil!

Recently bought a 2010 Venza. Fun to drive. The exterior is very attractive but wish the interior was built with better quality materials and/or craftsmanship. Interior road noise can be an issue (nosier than one would think) but I'm use to it now. IF NOTHING ELSE, look carefully at the interior for defects. In mine, the panels do not fit together well and gaps where dashboard panels meet are wider than should be. Some are warping ever so slightly -- some may not notice it but I did while sitting traffic. Since the car is so new, I haven't driven the car long enough or put in enough miles to see how it performs mechanically but so far so good.

Test drove all the SUVs on the market and bought the Venza. I love the V6, it has power to go and gets decent mileage on the road (26-28 curently). Very roomy inside, and at 6'2" -245 lbs no issues. Even on long trips the seats are nice (I went with cloth). Although, the ride can be bumpy sometimes on rough roads. All in all, it rides great for the value. Best of all, it is a head turner! I got the Aloe green metallic , with tan interior, love it. Also, the rear seats fold all the way down - and can be activated from the back, a MUST when loading. I really am impressed with this car/SUV. I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a great car, with room interior and hot looks!

MSRP with options (V6, Convenience package, panoramic sunroof, JBL system, premium color (Blizzard pearl)Tow prep, floor mats and trunk mats, and little few extras topped out at $33,300!! Went in and offered $27,500 and they never blinked an eye! looking at invoice the sold car for $2600 under invoice. I'm sure they make it up in dealer holdbacks, but I couldn't be more pleased with the car, and the AWESOME no haggle process I went through at Central Florida Toyota! I'll be back!

Traded an 08 Trailblazer in on a new Venza and i'm not sorry I did, the Venza has a car like ride and handling, although the ride is a little stiffer it makes up for it with the handling, quality and workmanship.I'm very happy with my purchase but there some improvements I would like to see, first the car seems to wander a bit on the road requiring correction, but to me seems more of a tire problem than the vehicle itself, and I also feel Toyota should soften the front seats a bit they seem to be a little to stiff other than that, great crossover/sport wagon.

One word: AWESOME. I have owned this car for a few weeks now, and am so glad I made the purchase. I use to own a 2007 Camry SE, and the Venza totally blows it out of the water. The exterior of the car speaks for itself and I love the 20" tires. The leather interior is a MUST have- it has a nice texture, and the piping is a darker color than the seat. The V6 engine rides smooth, and is pretty peppy. The turning radius is great, making it very easy to park. The JBL stereo sounds great, and I love the blue tooth capability for both my phone and audio player (iPhone). This car really is Lexus quality with the Toyota price. I even chose it over the Lexus RX330!

I just bought a new 2010 Venza yesterday and I am already in LOVE with it. I had on '05 Tundra and an '07 Camry so I have been loyal to Toyota even amidst the recalls. They are great cars and very safe and affordable. The Venza is such a comfortable ride and is extremely aesthetically pleasing on the inside and out. I have a base model and the standard features are insane for the price. This car has a luxurious feel but is versatile and fun to drive. I am 23 and have no kids so I strictly bought this car for the looks and performance. Its not a soccer mom car by any means. Turning radius is GREAT and cabin is very quiet. GET ONE! :)

I am an avid cyclist and had been seeking a vehicle to transport my bike with a couple of friends bikes to charity bike ride events that could handle a couple of guys that are pretty good size and still very athletic (me- 6'4" tall 280lbs and friends 6'6" 250 lbs -. I took six months to thoroughly research my choices and whittled it down to the T- Venza, A- ZDX and H-Accord Crosstour. I eliminated the Cross Tour after the test ride- seemed woefully low on power and handled like a truck. I really liked the ZDX but getting in and out was very awkward and it wasn’t at all worth the price difference of $20k or more for similar equipment. Very sleek and I get constant looks.

You can get same luxury items and reliability for a lot less. I wasn't disappointed. Rides and drives are very comfortable and has plenty of power. Planty of interior space and the dual sunroofs is beautiful . The controls are driver- friendly and easily accessible. It is quite too. I do not know why some people complain about the noise. Bought my Venza V6 FWD at the end of the year to take advantage of the new car sales tax incentive. Only if I had known Toyota would be in such trouble + incentive of $1500 cash, I would have waited. Felt like I was short changed by Toyota. Other than that, the Venza is great! I was drawn to the styling inside and out since day 1 of introduction. Took me a year to take ownership. Love the 20" wheels and aggressive styling. The interior is spacious and center console well designed.

Although I test drove this car three times before deciding to buy, I did not appreciate how "floaty" it drives until I had it for a while. Also, I live in a hilly area and was liked the hill assist feature it was supposed to have for the brakes. But since stopping on a hill a few times I've noticed that this feature does not work at all and the car rolls backwards even more than my last one that did not have this feature. I'll take it in for a look in case it's just not working. The interior is the real selling point for this car and is very functional. I like it better than all of the flippy doors on the Camry. I bought the Venza because after about 15 years of driving sports coupes and sports sedans, I wanted something different, something with more room for those occasional trips to Home Depot. The Venza is replacing a Lexus IS 350. The Venza is quick, not fast, but quick. Because of a lower center of gravity than the typical SUV, it handles mostly like a sedan. The 20" wheels (standard with the V6) probably help with that. I like the Venza's aggressive styling and it's room cargo space. Overall great car.

I am very pleased with my new Venza. This is a very thoughtfully built vehicle. There are several holders for my phone, ipod and other stuff. The ride is smooth although it does not pick up very quickly. The bluetooth pairing and setting up the garage opener was easy. Manual explains everything. I have the normal speakers and they work just fine for me.
