we own a 2010 Nissan Pathfinder LE and we love it. plus it does have a navigation system and we used it but we are not so crazy about it and it does have heated seats. it has 3rd row seats to but we never use them because we only have 3 people in our family.

My third one, had an 05, an 07 and now a '10. Love the Pathfinders. I have an LE this time so a little more plush inside. I am a contractor and use this for work so carry lots of tools and materials, no problem carrying the load. When it clean up it cleans up good. Gas mileage isnt great but other than that I can honestly say non of the Pathfinders that I have owned have ever let me down. Excellent build quality and would highly recommend. Since my original review the Pathfinder has developed a metallic chain like raspy noise. Have had it back to the dealer several times, the chief mechanic seems to be hearing impaired, he can't hear it, everyone else can. I believe it to be the timing chain or timing chain guides, from what I have been able to read, a pretty common problem. I have a gold plated extended warranty so if it breaks they fix, but, the warranty is up October of this year and only 72K miles on the truck, sadly so is this truck, I have no faith in it past that.

Does its job, quality average at best

When we bought it new, it was after a long decision process between Pathfinder and 4Runner. It fits the needs of our family here in Colorado perfectly - it's comfortable around town and on the highway, great for camping trips, and surprisingly good off-road. Really nice interior design and quality. We are happy with it after 3 years of ownership, and hope to keep it long time. My wife absolutely loves it, however, the built quality to me is questionable. When off-roading, the squeaks and rattles are very annoying, it feels like the truck is going to fall apart. Back on the road, it's surprisingly smooth and quiet. If you don't go off-road, there are much better choices out there.

Dependable, but not exceptional

I purchased this vehicle new in April of 2010 as a replacement for my 2005 Chevy Trailblazer which was becoming undependable mechanically. It was important to me to get a nice “cockpit fit” with comfort and electronics, and a dependable vehicle. My first observation is that I had to buy a much more pricey vehicle than what I really wanted in order to get just a few options that I found important. That would not be all that bad, if those features worked as promised. The day I drove the vehicle off the lot, it had two deficiencies: The Bluetooth connection for the phone did not sound good and the windshield was improperly installed, causing an awful noise in the wind and at high speeds. After much effort and loss of use (mostly the fault of Faulkner Nissan in Harrisburg, PA and not Nissan itself other than allowing the actual defect to leave the factory), the noise is fixed. The Bluetooth issue appears to be a result of poor design and is not fixable. I’ve owned several vehicles with a built in cell connection of some type and I frequently rent vehicles for work travel so I have a lot of vehicles to compare this one to. The extremes: Talking on my phone in the Trailblazer was like being in a sound booth; simply perfect, connected via OnStar with a Verizon account—I even got better reception than I did with the cell phone itself. The Pathfinder is the absolute worst I have ever experienced. It is almost bearable if the vehicle is not in motion, but it is impossible to carry on a normal phone conversation when at speed. So, if you are looking for only intermittent emergency use of the Bluetooth/cell feature, this might get the job done for you. If you are looking to return calls and conduct business while on the move, I suggest you look elsewhere. I should also note that the Bluetooth in this vehicle is only for the phone. If you want to play music from your iPhone, you’ll need to use an RCA cable (coupled with the fact that you need to charge your phone then from one of the 12V power outlets, you’ll have at least two wires running around your vehicle. Beyond these issues (which are obviously important to me), the vehicle is average. 18.4 MPG, almost no matter what I am doing. It is a good dog transported as I leave the 3rd row set down all the time so the space in back is bigger. My pooch likes the rear A/C. The 2nd row of seating looks big to me and I imagine it is fine for kids, but my workmates tell me there is no leg room when we go to lunch. I get it serviced on time and there have been no significant mechanical issues beyond those I have already mentioned. You could do worse. Just don’t buy from Falkner Nissan in Harrisburg, PA.

Got an 08 for hubs cuz the deal we got. Our love affair w/Nissan began! Someone turned in front of him when it was a week old. Minor, fixed easily. When I got mine, I told sales I didn't want a black or Pathfinder (since hubs already had). Well, didn't have $ for Armada so ended up w/ my black Pathfinder LE! I've had it for 2.5 years and am in love. Few mos ago, a car was came at me head on, hwy speeds. Had to drive into a ditch, he hit my back 1/4 pan at 50mph & spun me 90 deg. in the ditch My 2wd Pathy drove in the ditch like it was a road. Had a bruised knee & neck/back injured. He had no insurance, so mine footed the bill. $8000 in damage, (mostly to rear susp) but she's good as new!

I actually have the 2010 diesel pathfinder in Spain. TONS of torque. Unbelievably quiet on the road. It always surprises me how quiet a ride it has when I pull out on to a highway after being off-road. My mileage thanks to the diesel averages around 30-35 miles to the gallon. Fit and finish of the dash is not as good as my Toyota but still not terrible. After 6 months I am pretty happy with it. The 7 seats are great with the kids and in-laws. Bose package is also very nice.

I use 87 octane gas, have had it since 8/14/10 and have not noticed any problems with using regular gas. I average @ 16 miles per gallon in the city. The ride is quiet and compliant. This is a good value for your dollar.

I recently purchased a Nissan Pathfinder 2WD SE. This SUV has been a dream come true for me! I am a mother of 2 children (1 toddler & 1 baby). I bought this truck so that I could have more interior room than a car. With regards to the lack of leg room...It is just fine for those who have children! For the next few years my children will not be needing an excessive amount of legroom, so the Pathfinder is the PERFECT choice due to the dependability, price, and overall quality that Nissan has always provided. I am extremely satisfied with this truck!

We traded in our 2006 3.5L V6 Nissan Altima, and decided to stay will Nissan as our Altima gave us no problems. So we went to our local dealer and they said that they didn't have any Pathfinders in our color or trim level (SE). So we placed a deposit and the next day we got our Pathfinder. I have to admit, I love this SUV, we took the car on an 800 Mile road trip, the day after we got it. The car drove smoothly and was extremely quiet. Fuel economy is not great, however we are getting more than the EPA estimate. The SUV is great but there are some quality issues with this SUV. The materials feel and look cheap and the dashboard panels are misaligned. Other than that, We love our Pathfinder!

Love the pathfinder. Have had it for 7 months. We traded in a toyota sienna, when looking for a new car, realized that we still needed the third row on occasion. I was surprised at how smooth the ride is. Not at all what I had expected. The only downsize is gas mileage. Around town get only 16 - 17 miles per gallon. On the positive side, took it up skiing and managed to get 22-23 miles per gallon.

The PF is truck-based SUV with off-road capability. This is the main reason I bought it. It also saved me thousands of dollars compared with its competitors. I like the 4WD function, DVD, rapid acceleration(0-60mph, 7.4 seconds), and third row seats for children. It is a good SUV at it's price.

Just bought the truck for 3 weeks. Main reason is it is truck-based SUV. My family likes it. It is quit, strong, spacious first row and second row seats. And my daughter likes the DVD system. Currently got fuel efficiency at 17mpg (4 wd/mountain) and 18 mpg (2 wd/local+free way). The vibration (that occurs when the car is in gear but not moving) mentioned by Hman became very smaller after 2 weeks in my car. The car is good at its price.

We bought the V6 pathfinder, it handles pretty well. My wife loves the seats, however I am not convinced they are that comfortable. One thing that really bothers me is a vibration that occurs when the car is in gear but not moving. It starts from the engine and moves back through the vehicle. The dealer said this is normal and it's part of the exhaust. At times I wish I did a longer test drive before we purchased the vehicle.

I bought my Pathfinder after buying an Xterra that I wasn't happy with. The Pathfinder has none of that plastic trim around the bumbers. It has a wondeful amount of space. The gas mileage is not the best but that is to be expected from an SUV of this size. The third row seating easily folds down into the floor. The interior dashboard (radio area )is somewhat plain and could use some updating and sprucing up a bit.

Pathfinder is just a super deal. Compare in price its thousands over Honda and Toyota. Honda profit is unbelievable low with dealers having few options on sales. Toyota you can only find $35000 values. Ride may not be as nice as Honda but resale is about the same everywhere. Ford's products just don't hold value and my 2008 Explorer EB was so fair at best Didn't like the high tech rear view mirror falling off the windshield. Pathfinder is pure Japanese. Quality, looks and driving above the rest. Proud owner of a 2001 Pathfinder Le 4x4 which is so super and the top of the line 2010 Maxima. My 25th Nissan and I'm proud of everyone.

Just paid off and traded in my 2005 Pathfinder with 116,000 miles and got the same model. Had no problems with it and the previous 2001 at 130,000 miles. My wife loves the new one, because of the interior comfort and new techno updates such as "keyless". The Pathfinder does not get the best milage, but I average 19 to 20 MPG with 70% freeway driving. Plenty of room for 4 passengers and all their suitcases and laptops. Doubles as an excellent vehicle for my outdoor pursuits. It is not a race car and driven sensibly it tracks on snow and ice like a champ with the auto. Excellent amenities compared to competition, which I always look at and then go back to Pathfinder.

The Pathfinder is a magnificent car with all the handling and comfort anyone should want or need in a mid- sized SUV. Plus, I pull both a heavy boat and a car trailer. The 6 Cyl engine is plenty and it has all the towing power and handling with a trailer, yet still gets better gas mileage than most other SUVs when empty! I use 87 Octane and do fine. These are such great cars that my 40 year old son traded his Tahoe and bought a 2010 Pathfinder also!

Had such good luck with my 2006 Pathfinder that when the lease was up I decided on a 2010. The engine is bullet proof. All I ever did to my "06 was change the oil, replace the air filter and rotate the tires. I never brought it in for any of the scheduled services and at 52,000 miles when the lease expired the truck ran as good as new. I never had any engine related problems. I think what partially sold me on getting another Pathfinder is the 3rd row seating in a smaller/sportier vehicle instead of being forced to buy a gigantic SUV like a Suburban. The Pathfinder fits in my garage. I have noticed a few improvements in the 2010 compared to the 2006.

Okay, this car just rocks. Fun to drive, power to spare, and room room room. Just a great car to drive. But I do feel like Nissan skimped on the S model in order to force us to bump to the SE (+$3000). I mean, cmon, it's 2010, and no AUX jack for the iPod? Are you joking? It's a great car, and I love it. I just wish I could feel like I wasn't being effed over by the mftr is all.

I'm really glad I decided on the Pathfinder. I looked at the Explorer, 4Runner, and Pilot, however the Pathfinder suited me best. It was nicely equipped and has lots of power. The ride is firmer than the explorer and the 2nd row has less room, however my teenage boys say they have plenty of room. The gas mileage is on par with other SUVs of this size, but you are recommended to use premium gasoline. The keyless operation has taken some getting used to. Overall, I am very pleased with the purchase.

Excellent build quality, looks and motor. Could use a telescopic wheel and a bit more 2d row leg room. Gas mileage is good for an SUV of this size. Like the way it handles compared to other SUVs. The "S" model comes with a lot of features for the money. Better than the Explorer I owned and others I looked at (Pilot, 4Runner and Trailblazer).
