I bought my 2010 C300 used. I had driven maybe 10 different examples over several months. I had done copious research. What I found was the C. class overall 2008-present are very sturdy and reliable cars. I was a little uncomfortable with the lower mpg, but I have found on longer trips I can get in the 30s, which is OK with me. And in town is in the high teens (18-19) which is also ok. With my old car I had gotten 21 and 33. But it was a Saab turbo (the fun model engine) and repairs had finally gotten the better of me. So I found this 300, looked like mint condition, 61k miles, nav, memory seats, basically everything you'd want. It's been a great car, no problems at all. One thing to consider is the audio. The cars don't come with streaming bluetooth. But there are low cost options to connect all sorts of music and files in all sorts of ways. I got a PCMCIA card for the dash slot, with 32gb drive, an auxiliary for the glove box media interface, and a Bluetooth device that connects with zero effort to the media interface. And if you are waiting for the wife or other , sitting in your car with the nav system you can watch DVD on the nave screen with the video systemusic built in. It's really a cool car, relatively low maintenance, and the ride is rock steady at high speed.

The Mercedes-Benz C300 Luxury 4Matic is a great car. I recently purchased a used C300 and it has been fantastic. As far as value goes, I could not find a better deal than the Mercedes-Benz C300. I purchased the car with about 70,000 miles on it for around $14,000. The car was maintained impeccably by the previous owner and has an excellent service record. I fully expect to get at least another 100,000 miles out of the car. The ride is very comfortable and the car has enough horsepower to have a little bit of fun on open roads. The handling is very tight and the braking is precise. One issue I have had with the car is the Bluetooth music connection. Often the connection between my iPhone and the car is weak and the music will not play as clearly as it would over the AUX cord. Overall, the C300 is a great car and a great value. I would highly recommend this car. (KDE)

I bought my 2010 c class in February 2011 with 4,200 miles on it. Exterior wise the paint is exceptional, no flaws whatsoever. Interior wise, fit and finish is great, seats comfortable and very adjustable. Bluetooth, very easy to pair up to 15 phones on this car. Standard audio is adequate. Mileage, I average 21 mpg overall. I change the oil every 5,000 miles, at 65,000 miles spent $1400 replacing brakes, fluids, shocks, plugs, full tune-up and computer analysis. Original tires replaced at 52,000 miles. Previous car was a Honda Accord, bought new for $29,000, I paid $29,000 for the c-class. Would buy another in a heartbeat.

Reliving the 1970's

In the 1970's, if your car reached 50,00 miles it was time to get rid of it. At that time you could be assured that major problems would begin and continue. The 2010 C300 Mercedes-Benz had me reliving the 1970's. After 60,000 miles the car fell apart. I purchased a 2010 C300 in 2011. The car was a certified used car, mileage 9,403, from a local dealer in Pittsburgh and all of the service done on this car was performed at the dealership where it was purchased. The first 30,00 miles were OK, but since then I have had a major issue every 5,000 miles and things really turned bad after 60,000 miles. I have had two problems with the key system. One issue was covered under warranty and the second problem cost $1,000. The second problem with the key system had the car totally locked in park. Mileage 67,000. I had the car towed to a dealer. The car was locked in park and the car had to be dragged on to a flatbed truck, none of the wheels would rotate, and hauled to the dealer. This happened in Oct. 2015 and cost $800. The dealer technicians are competent, but the service is very expensive. If your trip for service costs less than $1,000 consider your self lucky. In Jan. 2016 the heater/AC blower was replaced for $600; mileage 70,300, and the car was just serviced at 69,945 miles for the annual Pennsylvania state inspection. In Mar. 2016 the right headlight went out and required dealer service to fix a wiring problem. On May 2, 2016 the left axle broke; mileage 72,137. For the second time the car was on flatbed back to the dealer. I was pulling out into traffic when the axle broke and the car was immobile. The cost this time was $1800. After the repair I drove the car home and it sat in the driveway until I purchase a new car. I would not drive the car anywhere out of fear it would breakdown. I am no longer the owner of a stylish, expensive, and UNRELIABLE Mercedes-Benz. If you still insist on buying a Benz, BUY an extended warranty and hope for the best.

I bought this car brand new at 0 km, the interior quality wears out very quickly, it is made of poor quality materials. The leather seats are poorly sewn and has ripped on me after 3 years of usage. My car stereo has had problems, sometimes it turns on, other times it doesnt even turn on, it is very randomly as to when it works. Most of the issues I have been encountering has been RIGHT after the warranty expiration of 3 years. I have had older cars made by Honda and Acura that have lasted longer and have kept their quality. I would not recommend a mercedez benz if you are looking for a luxury high end, it is not worth the price.

This is my fourth Benz, bought 1st new one in '95 (C200), next CLK Convertible 320, 1994 new, next new one, the 2010 E350 2door Coupe (loved it) for myself and for my wife, the 2010 C 300. My beloved wife of 42 years passed New Years Day 2014, didn't need two vehicles and wanted to keep my E350, but sold it and kept my wife's. I've always had all my vehicles serviced every 10,000 miles at the dealership, my C300 has 74,000 miles and rides like a charm, never getting rid of that car. Dealer told me in 95, after buying my first Benz, a Mercedes would be the only car I'd ever buy, he was right!!!!

My lease is up and so it is time to say goodbye to this fine automobile. As much as I would like to buy it out, leasing is set up to discourage that. The biggest problem is MB color pallette: Black, white and 15 shades of gray. The gorgeous quartz blue is no longer offered. Only two total problems with car: The transfer case I posted about back at 40K miles and a malfunctioning air valve which turned on the check-engine light. Both problems repaired under warrantee.

I had some issues when I bought this car which were never addressed by the dealer. This is a CPO car which was never put through the CPO paces and months later I had to spend $1000.00 out of my own pocket to fix it. I've tried to contact MBUSA to help me with the situation and they have refused to even look at the case. Letters, documents, proof of repair (and solution) by another MB dealer have been completely ignored. Good luck if you run into a problem and need MBUSA, or Mercedes proper, to even listen to the case, much less trying to fix the problem. Volvos, BMWs and Mazdas never had a problem with any of them; Advice, run away from this brand...run away fast and far...

I bought this car used with 49k in June '12 Since then I've put 16k on it with several long road trips. Until this body style came out, I wanted a BMW 325 as my next car. This is the first car I've seen that compares with the Beemer in terms of styling. I love the looks of this car. I agree with some comments about the controls. Without the Nav system, you lose some features that other cars offer. However, these are minor issues that do not detract from the joy of driving this car. One negative is the different sized tires. Can't rotate and they wear out fast. I just replaced them. We'll see how long they last. This car is great fun to drive and a head turner. No mechanical issues so far.

Yes this is my second C class, the first being a 2005 C280 (The older body style) which I thought was the greatest car ever built giving you best of all worlds; Sporty, Luxury, Stylish, etc... I didn't think the car could get any better and then I test drove the 2010 C300 Lux 4matic and it was love at first sight all over again. The car is completely different but still has that MB feel of solid German egineering. Tight as a drum but smooth and confident in all areas; accel, stop, turn and hwy. I love this car. I look forward to driving it every chance I have.

I bought 2010 C300 certified by dealer with 36K miles. After few days I noticed the power steering noise which is driving me crazy (unless I turn the radio on to drown the noise). The car has no power at all. After traffic stop, you can see every type of car passing by. When I take my foot off the gas, it feels as if someone has pressed the brakes. I took it back to the dealer who told me this is normal. I complained about the noise from the engine when it starts (the sound of metal pinging) and the power steering noise, the dealer kept the car for five days, after which they told me this is normal. If this is normal then shame on you MB, this is not what I expected (unfortunately t

Overall, this is a very well built car that drives very nicely. I've always has standard-brand cars, but this time I splurged and bought the German car I've always wanted. It is not the sporting model, but it handles and moves perfectly for daily driving. It's small, so easily maneuvers in tight spaces, but has the premium features. The up-and-down nav and entertainment screen is kind of silly, but I find the iPod integration to be excellent and easy to use with the round controller on the center console. I enjoy the car greatly, but the mystique of having a Mercedes is all in my head; it's not like having a Mercedes back when I was a kid and they were special and infrequent.

Trouble in paradise! The local dealer performed the 40K mile service which included the replacement of many filters and fluids but I had to go back at a later date for the required transmission service. After spending a total of $700 for both services, the service adviser tells me the 4matic transfer case is leaking and worse yet-it is a common problem on ALL MB's with all wheel drive. Fortunately, warrantee covered what could have been a very expensive repair. This is the first problem of any sort with the car.

Purchased this car new in March 2010. C300 sport 4matic non-NAV. I must admit I did not do my research before buying, and purchased the car because I have always wanted a new Mercedes. What a mistake. Car looks awesome sitting still. Very well built. WHAT IS WRONG: 1) the turn signal is about 4 inches lower than any other car. Cruise control stalk is where the turn signal stalk SHOULD BE. Also, you cant see the wiper control without stuffing your head under/behind the steering wheel to take a look. 2) the radio controls are useless. there is a cool dial on the center console but it sucks. 4 different ways to change the radio station.. and if the stupid looking visor

Just had 20K "B" service performed and so far, the car is just about perfect. The windshield wipers needed replacement at $63 for the pair but it takes longer to open the box than it does to put them on. The Michelin tires are wearing like nails: I made sure my car did not have Conti's on it when I bought it from my horrible experience with them on my Jaguar X-type and Mitsubishi 3000GT. Mileage continues to improve and is now at 24.8 mpg average with most of the driving at 40-45 mph on rural back roads. Still no regrets about not buying the cramped, noisy Caddy CTS or the econobox-based Lincoln MKZ.

I've just spent a year and 10,000 miles with my C300 Luxury, and I am happy to report that I am very satisfied. Instead of aiming for the sportiest model in the range, I decided to buy the Luxury model and don't regret that choice at all - this is an excellent small luxury car with enough sportiness to make it fun to drive without being a tiresome daily driver. With the premium 1 package and media package, it has everything I could want. The only downside: the friends and acquaintances who judge me for buying a Mercedes ("it's pretentious"). In the past, I always chose something more value-priced and was not content long term. This car has what it takes to merit long-term ownership.

Bought my first Benz, a 2010 300 Sport 4matic. Was considering Acura TL SH- AWD and BMW. Mercedes dealer gave great price for certified pre-owned, and extended warranty. Acura was faster, but overall Benz is better looking, great handling, comfortable and great quality. I've put around 1,500 miles on it so far and no complaints. It's quick, but not FAST, but you can't beat the ride and handling, and 1st class exterior looks. I wish they made the C350 in 4matic, then it would be perfect. Currently getting around 19 mpg around town with pedal down, averaging 21 - 22 mpg in mixed condition, and have gotten up to 25 mpg on mostly highway driving. Smooth acceleration / 7 speed transmission.

Wanting to consolidate from an LR3 and a Lexus IS RWD into one AWD sedan (and one payment), I set my sights on Infiniti, Audi, Lexus and BMW. I was unimpressed with the ergonomics of the G37x, even though I used to own a G35 and loved it. I headed over to the BMW/Merc dealership and happened upon the C300. I was immediately taken in by the aggressive stance of the front end. I was skeptical about the sub-230 HP until I drove it. It has plenty of pickup (compared to my IS250) and handles very well. I bought it on the spot - never even got around to driving the BMW or Audi. The CC stalk was awkward at first, but is easily accessible, and can be manipulated by one finger on my driving hand.

Just turned over 10,000 miles and had first service performed. Absolutely no problems or issues in the first 10K unlike the Jag I traded in or any car or truck I have EVER owned. The car does not feel very fast but it is deceiving how fast your are going because you don't feel the speed. The Gracenote database is quite involved to set up: you have to think like an engineer but the HK sound system rocks and makes it worthwhile. Dark Side of the Moon has stuff on it I have never heard. This is my first Mercedes, like most everyone here and I will be back for another.

I just leased a 2010 C300 AWD. I have previously had 2 Volvo S60's. I love this car. It rides so smooth and it is extremely quiet. I love the front grille design and all the comfort features it has. I drove BMW 3 series and found the lease process way too expensive and complicated. The mercedes is so fun to drive and it is surprisingly roomy inside. My husband is 6'4" and he has plenty of headroom and legroom. The only negative is the interior is not real leather and Mercedes should be able to do leather for $41,000.

Wow. First off, I can’t believe some of the reviews you people gave for this amazing car. I’m even ashamed with the Edmunds score. For only owning and driving this car for 1 week I can say this car takes the cake. It's very comfortable (and I’m 6 foot) it's very powerful. It hugs the ground on tight turns. It comes rear wheel drive standard (compared to the 2010 Audi a4 that's front wheel drive standard with a four cylinder motor). The interior is a mix of sporty and luxury. The front of the c300 sport looks so sexy and the position of the head lights and fog lights is just so mean looking I love it! Sorry BMW lovers. You get more out of the standard c300 sport than the standard 328i.

Purchased in Dec09 was finally delivered Feb10 but NOT AS SPECIFIED, no HK stereo, no iPod interface, no 5-spoke rims. Dealer Automotriz Stuttgart refuses any adjustment. After only 2,400 miles the paint had flaked off the hood medallion, seats are horribly wrinkled, Bluetooth faulty, Stereo 20 system so distorted it is unusable besides missing a speaker. Worst is performance, takes a full 2-3 seconds after accelerator is fully depressed to get ANY reaction from the engine. When purchasing, make sure you take YOUR C class out for an extensive test drive and QC check BEFORE signing, as many MB dealers are famous to send their customers to hell after taking your money. Buyer beware.

Purchased our White/Almond c300 Sport 4Matic @ 1 month ago. Love the comfort, safety, features (especially the Bluetooth, Multimedia, and Ipod). Extremely quiet, solid ride and a head- turner. However, is it the quickest in the category? No. But we didn't purchase the car for its 0-60 quickness. You can get on the highway fine and pass when needed. We traded in a 30 Acura TLS, so it's quite slow compared to that. In our opinion MB was an excellent mix of all aspects: safety, comfort, appearance inside and out, ergonomic appeal, performance. Test drove G37 (quick but hard & loud), A4, TL, IS250 AWD (our 2nd choice but backseat too small for longer than a 5 minutes.)Love it overall!

Only have had this MB C300 Sport for about 3 weeks now and I enjoy it more every day. Traded in a BMW X5 which I loved and I do miss the space but the handling and comfort have MB written all over it. Beautiful lines and total visual package just enhances the performance. Multimedia and Premium package are a must have. Treated wonderfully by the Columbus GA MB dealership and got a great deal, Gary was great to work with, will buy all future MB from this dealership, I have to drive 266 miles from where I live but well worth it and will do it again.

The car reviews seem to dismiss this model as a car not really for car lovers, but I really enjoy driving it. This car has strong acceleration, an excellent crisp transmission, amazing brakes, and the Michelin tires grip the road very well. The steering is light and precise, with just enough road feel. The suspension, even in the lux model, is as firm as I would want in a daily driver. With the premium package and multimedia package, this car addresses my every need and delights with its many thoughtful features. Every piece of this car feels quality, and the doors shut with a solid thunk.

This is my second Mercedes. I had a 97 E320 which I liked a lot, but the new 2010 C300 is the best car I've ever owned. It does everything very well. I don't know how Mercedes does it. It rides great, but it also handles great. It gets excellent fuel mileage, but it also has plenty of power. The IPOD and bluetooth work great and makes it a pleasure to drive the car. It is amazing how much car you can get for a car that only costs in the mid 30's.

I originally owned a 2008 C300 4matic luxury sedan. I loved the car and had not problems with it but circumstances made if possible to get a 2010 C300 4matic luxury. MB did a great job on the 2008 and the 2010 is even better. This is the best vehicle I have owned and I have had BMW's, Audi's and Volvo's.

I came out of a 2007 DTS which my wife felt was a little to large for her to drive so I checked out the 2010 CTS which was nice inside and out and had a nice ride(DTS was better). I noticed it was a little low in the front end and thought the ground clearance may be an issue. We checked out the C300 sport and felt the ride was a little harder than the CTS and it also had a tight ground clearance like the CTS. We tried out the C300 luxury and found the ride to be better and it did not have as low of a front spoiler so we went with the luxury, my wife and I love it. Some people complain about the cruse control position but trust me you well get used to it. Had 2 BMW 8 caddys, C300 suits us.

The crash test photos tell one story, shutting the door and hearing this amazing thud makes you believe that this car is SOLID. Every control and button has a great feel and there are rich textures everywhere. The C300 has a nice throaty exhaust note when rev it, otherwise it is extremely quite and smooth. I love the scratch resistant paint, MB Tex that looks and feels real but it will not wrinkle and requires no additional care. With the 4-Matic I could drive through deep snow and ice without worry. Coming from a comparable BMW the Benz feels like a much better product. Not to mention you are NOT forced to live with Run-Flat tires that only last 12k miles and cost $300 each to replace!

Leased car; good for business, ensures an image of success. Front of the car very sexy, though a little bit too aggressive. The back needs serious rethinking/redesign. Pleasant drive, extremely quiet at low speed. The interior looks well put together and quite refined, though Audi and Lexus still better. There are some rattles at 60-65 mph from the passenger seat. Maybe this is a subtle invitation from mercedes for car pooling.

Mercedes and... Ursula Andress were the objects of my fascination when I was 12. I will not comment about the (then) stunning Miss.Andress, but the Merc was the symbol of style and mechanic perfection. The new C-Class has enough refinement to lure customers: with the new design tries to convince the BMW customers to switch to a different proposition. Larger on the outside than the previous model, feels small and cramped inside. The front of the car is appealing, while the back is the result of the involvement of the accountants :- ).Driving over 60 mph brings wind noise in the otherways quiet luxurious cabin. the car handles well, but the steering is uneasily soft and un-engaging

A test drive won me over. I've driven 4's for years, a Volvo and 2 Saabs. The V6,by comparison, is powerful. Mileage isn't bad, and the feel is SO solid. I'm more concerned about the cost of maintenance than anything else. It is a very luxurious car. Back seat is cramped, but I rarely use it.

I waited to write this review until after my 3,000 mile round-trip to FL. My MB C-Class is a beautiful, solid, and luxurious car. It is an all-around wonderful car and a pleasure to be in and to drive. I now look forward to every trip and errand around town so I can drive this car. BMW engineers did a great job on my former 325ci as a "driving machine", but they did not come close to the amazing comfort, careful attention to detail and quality interior and features of this MB.

Hope I'm Not Sorry!

After owning two Audi A4's and a BMW I thought I would explore the "competition" in the auto world. I too was "lured" in with the "fantastic deal" and appropriate trade-in on a 2010 C300 4-Matic Sport that I had purchased in late November 2009. I live in Minnesota (which this year has had a lot of snow. So far, I must say that the handling in snow is not what I had expected from a all- wheel drive car. It does not compare at all to the A4 Quattro (much more sure-footed)or my BMW for that matter. MB's back end swerves out (and not at a fast speed!) when turning or cornering in snowy conditions. So far the final verdict is still out, but right now,not very impressed with Mercedes handling.

I love everything about this car, as I am semi retired I wanted a car that is going to be comfortable for long trips to visit friends, even after 12 hours it is, no numb butt. It is the best cruise control I have ever had but did get it confused with the indicator to start with. I wanted it in the new metallic quartz blue with grey interior, I could not find it in the model I wanted without a lot of extras I did not want so "I built my own" this has just added to the delight of owning a Mercedes, that it was custom made for me, it does not cost any extra to do this, but does add to the prestige.

I bought this car to replace an ALTIMA 2.5S. Interior is small with but this car is nothing like any that I have owned, everything is tight, pickup is superb, it drives and handles like a turbo charged sports car. Its a lot of fun to drive, only if it had a few more inches to recline the front seat.

After a decade of buying BMW 3 Series, I made a major mistake with an end-of- year lease of a C300. This car is "sport" in name only! (Well, okay, it _looks_ sporty too, but that's as far as it goes.) What a joke--the only way you can maintain any cornering grip is by bracing yourself against the door or the console. Steering and other controls: a mess. It's very easy to see why BMW outsells this poser. I got it on a lark after I found that the latest BMW's have no place to plug in a Valentine 1 radar detector, and I found out they were giving the MBZ's away: $770 to start; $444/month (3 years). NOW I know why it was so cheap.... Please learn from me: do NOT buy this car!

I wanted to replace my Jaguar X-type with a Lincoln MKZ or Caddy CTS. The CTS was cramped and the MKZ , the spiritual successor to the X-type, is a major letdown, showing its economy car roots. On a whim, I stopped into Mercedes dealer and drove the C300. The Quartz blue color is stunning: it makes the car. The seats and driving position are most comfortable, the ride just super smooth, the steering sharp and defined, and the technology unbelievable. Mercedes puts money into the structure, not the bells and whistles. It is the most relaxed drive ever, and the insurance is actually less than the Jaguar. I wanted to buy American, but the Mercedes is sooo good.

This car is a tank. It's as solid as any car I've owned, and that includes every make except Chrysler, including a couple BMWs, an Audi, and two E Class sedans. It's not a BMW and shouldn't be compared to one. It's more of a traditional car than a 3 series, which sits lower and feels more compact. The styling is crisp, and the C Class is the best looking Benz in my opinion. The interior takes a lot of hits in the car magazines. I don't understand why. It's executed beautifully, with lots of soft-touch surfaces and understated German solidity. It's not a Lexus, so don't expect baby bottom-soft leather and gaudy wood tones. If you buy a Mercedes, appreciate it for what it is.

What a great ride!

Just got this car 2 weeks ago-- upgraded from my 2001 C240. What an upgrade! I love the look of the front and the two tone interior. Has decent acceleration, but at 5,800 feet where I live, I wish it was a bit more. Very tight and quiet, and comfortable seats. After 10 inches of snow recently, it maneuvered beautifully with the 4matic, but this sport version rides low and scraped over snow plow ridges in the street. I was hesitant about MB Tex upholstery, but I honestly can't tell the difference from the leather in my old car. This car does seem to have a rather large blind spot on the left. I find myself turning my head a lot more than before. So far I love this car!

I went to the "dark side. Coming from BMW 3 series coupe, I decided to try Benz for the first time and wow what a great choice. I love this car. It doesn't have as much power and doesn't handle quite as good as my 335 coupe but damn this car looks good and it has adequate power and handling. Comfortable solid ride which a nice quality sporty interior. No car is even close at this price point in my opinion, bang for buck. My bimmer was $200 more per month!

only one day into my new car and I am not pleased. the C300 really lacks in comfort and room. If your claustrophobic this is not the car for you. The seats are small and uncomfortable. Programming your settings is a choir. I have 3 years on this lease and I am counting the days. Purchased this MB instead of another Chrysler 300C V8 Hemi because of Chryslers Financial state. Personally as far as comfort goes... Maybe in time I will feel different about this MB, but why do I doubt that? "Should have had a V8"

I have been a Camry owner for 11 years and loved it. Decided to take a step up and looked at BMW, Lexus, Acura and Audi and decided on the C-300. It was a bit like Golidlox, the BMW too performance oriented, the Lexus to posh and soft, but found the MB to be pretty much in the middle and like the looks. Loved the ride and looking forward to seeing how it performs in the winter. I also knew that I would be sacrificing something on the mileage side, both with the premium fuel and the larger engine but the trade off has been a fair one. So far I think I made the right decision. The dealership couldn't have been better

Leasing, so exonerated of any worries. Good pulling manners, the star still attracts decent admiration from aspiring debutantes. The design is a mix of the old MB with BMW 3 series features a and a reminder of the old Honda Accord right on the butt (or boot).
