Follow up review to our Tucson after 20,000 miles. My wife and I's biggest hesitancy with purchasing a Hyundai was the long term reliability. The warranty obviously helps mitigate those fears, but we still didn't want our car to be constantly breaking down. I am happy to report that after 20,000 miles, we have not had a single issue with our vehicle. We live in the mountains of Colorado, so it has seen extreme conditions and plenty of hills, and it handled it all beautifully. The 4 cyclinder does fine on the passes, the AWD did great in the snow and rain, and we averaged about 26 MPG all around. My only complaints about the car are numb steering and the ride is a little rough, but not bad.

This DOES NOT get better with age

Loved this vehicle when I bought it, but quality issues are starting to pop up. Paint chipping too easily, performance issues, electronic glitches. Service issues too. On a recent visit I got the car back with rear bumper damage. I don't think this vehicle will be in very good shape at two or three years old.

I loved my car from day one. It never got the gas mileage they swear by, but I still loved it. I purchased it May 2010 and ran the A/C all summer with no problems. After 10 months, the entire car would shake and rattle when the A/C was on. It was like nothing I had ever felt. I had to take it 3 times before they would finally speak to the factory rep. After 5 days, they finally determined the A/C condenser was warped. Its still in the shop today.

Hyundai really packs a lot of features for the price, unfortunately they are not packed very well. I get a new rattle every day I drive this car. The dash, door panels, tailgate among other places I have yet to locate. The dealer is unhelpful in fixing all the creaks. In addition, the ride is very, very, firm. On the plus side, I find the seats comfortable and their is plenty of space for our three person family. I bought the Tucson to replace a 2001 VW Passat and sorely miss that car.

We've been driving this vehicle now for 9 months. My wife loves it (it is primarily her car) but I'm not so sure. What I like: An incredibly short turning radius. The look of the vehicle, both inside and out. All of the extras at a reasonable price (heated leather seats, bluetooth, etc). What I don't like: The ride is really rough, much rougher than my Nissan Maxima or even my beat up old pickup. You will feel every bump on the road. Most annoying: The gas mileage we've been getting isn't even close to the EPA rating. Low teens in town, low 20's on the highway. I don't drive like a maniac (anymore). If I pushed it hard I'd hate to think how bad the mpg would be...

Hate it already

Bought a loaded limited awd couple of months ago and can't stand it already the ride is horrible around town can feel every bump and imperfection in the road on the highway it's not that bad.The tranny isn't very good either the 2nd to 3rd gear upshift jolts the car into gear very rough but only those 2 gears for some reason had it to 2 dealers now and they can feel it but they have driven othrs on the lot that do the same thing and said that's just the way they shift??? I've been driving for 21 yrs and had many cars and never had 1 shift like that unless the tranny or computer were bad!!! The bluetooth is horrible also the other person cannot here you very well.Going to look elsewhere soon

Love It!

Have had it since March, Love my Ride!!! Turning Radius is so small it's like driving a go-cart, so much fun to drive. 6 speaker stereo is awesome too. I really have no complaints except the drivers seat could have been filled with firmer padding on the sides, seems to be wearing out already. Getting 25 MPG around town and 30 on the highways so very pleased with that.

If it were quieter it would be perfect.

Purchased 6 months ago and now have 5000 miles combined Hwy/City. The engine/trans combination of this vehicle makes it feel like a 6 cyl. Just a lot of fun to drive. Mileage has been 20 city/27 Hgwy which I can live with coming from an '04 Trailblazer. The only downside of the vehicle is the highway road noise on concrete. I had to put a 4" foam pad under the spare tire to absorb some of the noise and stuff polyfill into the rear wheel well covers. The tires are also part of the problem. An upgrade to the Michelin Primacy MVX4, which are rated far better for road noise would be an improvement.

Got our new car in June of 2010. At 4300 miles, two weeks after our first oil change, it broke down, at first service couldn't find problem, but finally diagnosed as fuel pump failure. Pick car up and drive out of dealership and warning lights go off again, car sputters and almost stalls, horrible grinding noise and white smoke from engine, now diagnosed with A/C compressor failure. Worried about what will come next. Brand new car shouldn't have these many problems. Been in a rental car for four days and counting.

I love my new Tuscon. It has great pick up on the highway, the air- conditioning cools the car off fast, it handles well around town, and the styling is great. The only thing I am disappointed with is the gas mileage. It is not getting the advertised gas mileage and I only get about 310 miles to the tank. I wish I would have upgraded to the Limited however because I am not super happy with the leatherette seats. They are comfortable, easy to clean and don't look bad, but I wish I had gotten the leather.

A little over two months, wishing it had better features than I have found. When I am in the driver's seat, I am comfortable but I don't like looking at my co-driver. REASON? Poor head rests, nonadjustable 'horizontally.' You can only raise them up, but not side ways i.e back and forward! I have found it a little wanting, not exactly what I expected.

I get an average of 18.6 mpg. When I brought it back to the dealer they drove it 60 miles under ideal conditions and the best they could get was 23 mpg Cruise control on the hwy. They then told me that's what I should expect even though the sticker advertises 24 city and 31 hwy.

I’m really impressed with the Tucson 2010, before I decided for this car I test drove all the small SUVs out there, and I did not find anything that was close to the new Tucson, it makes the other brands looks like they are ripping you off, I has a nice look, the interior design is superb, the handling is awesome, extras only seen in a more expensive models, 5 year warranty, and a fair price, JUST GREAT! Give it a try, nothing is better for the price, I have had it for 6 months now and it’s a pleasure to drive, so far not a single problem.

I purchased my Tucson at Tom's River Hyundai in New Jersey. I got the deal I wanted and would highly recommend the dealership and the Tucson. From the first mile I was impressed. My Tucson fully loaded and it has everything I could ever want. It's a pleasure to drive and the stereo system is awesome! It's a bit girly, which I like, for the average guy but perfect for us gals. It has the curves and listens when I give a voice command (really cool technology I might add). Getting 25 - 26 MPG around town which I feel is very good for a vehicle of its' size. I feel safe in it and that means a lot to me. Very reasonable price and value for your dollar. Who could ask for more?

After going through the nightmare of a Jeep wrangler 2008 unlimited, I came back to Hyundai with the only expectation of a good vehicle. Was I for a big surprise. This little brute is amazingly fast, frugal on fuel and quite fun to drive. It brings attention and I get asked "what car is that. A Lexus, m3 or what. Quality is everywhere, the price and features. Unbeatable. I really don't know what kept me away from Hyundai after my wonderful, never forgotten 2004 Santa Fe

After much on-line research at Edmunds.com I decided that the Hyundai Tucson is the best SUV for the money. Have had my Tucson for a little over a month and I have not been disappointed. This SUV drives well and handles well. The four cylinder supplies more than enough power. Gas mileage is quite impressive for an AWD vehicle. Hyundai did almost everything right with the Tucson!

I bought the 2010 ix35 thinking it would blow my mind like the reviews say but I must say am disappointed. The car came with just two airbags and wait for it, A 4 SPEED TRANNY. The ride is rough, at idle and on the high way. Depress the accelerator and the car lags before picking up. Own a sonata 2.0 which is sluggish. will not buy another Hyundai

Okay, definitely a sharp looking little SUV- HOWEVER, like many others, I am hugely disappointed in the gas mileage, have seen my city mileage dip into the 16's, and now it's hovering in the 17 mpg range (drive in the ECO mode 98% of the time)- not even close to the advertised range. It is a cool looking, fun little car to drive, but would not have bought it if I had known the mileage numbers would be so far off. I traded in a Murano for the Tucson, hoping to get great gas mileage in a stylish smaller car- but the mileage is worse then the Murano's so far. What's up, Hyundai?

This is my first Hyundai and I find the Tucson to offer the best features and most comprehensive warranty for the money. I have driven over 8000 miles getting about 22-24 mpg in the city and 26-32 on the highway. Mileage is subject to wind, a/c, and tire inflation pressure. I gained an additional 2 mpg by increasing the tire pressure from 30 to 40 psi. Plenty of room for a family of four and our luggage even on longer trips.

I live in P.R. I purchased Tucson 2010, first of all the cars in pr are more costly than the rest of USA, the dealers bought the BASIC models and put some alloy wheels then charged like the premium model but with out the bells and whistles like bluetooth or steering wheel audio control. In pr the BASIC model Tucson cost 23,195 just automatic transmission and 17" alloy wheels just that. However I bought the car for the fuel economy and space, but the car has the worst road noise I ever heard in a car. The test drive the noise didn't show up. I never in my life will buy a Hyundai car. Period.

I liked 31/23 mph (but since only getting 26/17) also liked dual moon roofs and style of the dash and interior. But a week after a/c compressor broke & was replaced right away. Then the speedometer intermittently stopped working or read wrong. I took back a few times before they could concur that it was bad. Blue tooth would connect and then kick me out Bluetooth & speedometer repalced. I opened up a case with Hyundai-consumer that something might be wrong with electrical. They replaced and now a month later the blue tooth did the same thing going to replace again. I opened up case suggesting electrical, but they say nothing is related. using up sick days to go to dealers once a month.

So far I am getting reasonable mileage on this vehicle. My only major complaint is the Road Noise. At 110KMH you may as well turn off the XM Radio because there is no way you can hear what is going on. Otherwise, it offers surprising power, a very good transmission with good shifts (I hardly ever noticed any jerking on a downshift) and it is quite comfortable on long trips. My back no longer hurts when I drive 250 miles.

This is my 2nd Hyundai. the first one was a 2004 Santa Fe V-6 3.8 , excellent Vehicle. i traded it for a 2008 Jeep wrangler, i still regret it; not that the Jeep is a bad car but Chrysler cheap manufacturing process and Dealers that don't know what they are doing ruined a great product. So i am back to Hyundai. the Tucson is fast, quite silent and very well build.its electric power steering is amazing , the suspension is firm but comfy. the interior is very functional, there is quality everywhere. the paint job is really beautiful; looks like a more expensive car. Gas mileage is 22 in city and around 27 in highway driving.

I have now had this car for 6 months and 7,600 miles. I love it but it does have some flaws. The mileage is not what it's rated at all. It's actually 2-3 gallons lower on city as well as hwy. I did have a bad battery and the car had to be towed twice in the first week before they replaced it. The biggest gripe with the car is the bluetooth. It's totally lame. I can get good reception for the most part but the party on the other end only can only hear decently on "outstanding roads when driving in little or no traffic". When does that ever happen. The bluetooth is a totally cheap unit and is a burr under my skin. It's probably the reason I won't keep the car more than a couple of years

I recently bought the AWD GLS with the preferred package, and I could not be happier with my purchase. The car is fun to drive, and very nice for long trips. I will say I have some trouble with visibility, but not nearly as bad as some other crossovers I have driven. I would definitely recommend this car to anyone. Please note that the AWD is not always on. The car operates in FWD on normal terrains, and AWD will activate if more traction is needed, so you still get great fuel economy.

I purchased my car almost three weeks ago right before the birth of my first child. I purchased this car for the price, style, and safety. Well I only got two of those wished. In the past two months I have only had the car for maybe two and a half weeks. The air bag light in the dash board is always on because the passenger airbag sensor is not working and is never on if there is a passenger or not. Hyundai obviously has no way to fix this problem because after the car being in the shop for a month there is still no resolution just beware if this happens to you because now I have to go through the lemon law and find another car to purchase

My purchase experience was nice. The dealer gave me a great trade on an 07 SF Limited with 58000 mi. I got $3,500 for it and no money out of my pocket to drive this baby off the lot. My monthly payment decreased $25 per month with $18,800 drive off financed, including t,t & l. I'm impressed with the motor pep, interior package quality and ride. I love the bluetooth and I have no complaints with it. My first trip was around 800 mi and I averaged 27.7 with the air on and cruise set at 75 mph.

The paint - chipped less than a month (exactly 28 days). I'm so disappointed. The dealership repair was poor- they just touch up with paint which was so obvious to see because it's not the same color as the original and the touch up paint comes off, also the original paint continues to peel. The in charged from dealer repair told me that they will paint the car in the body shop. I can't believe it. A new car repainted? For me they should change that part not just painting it because it's brand new. Now, I'm planning to talk to the manager, missing my work and hoping for the best. Was so excited I bought my new car, then less than a month so disappointed. How I wish i can undo everything.

I fell in love with the look of this car, both inside and out. It looks sharp. Gas mileage is good; averaging 24-26 mpg with a combination of town and highway driving. On a recent highway trip, I was getting the promised 31 mpg! My biggest disappointment has been the tires and road noise coming into the cabin. The Kumoho tires seem overly grippy -- even on smooth asphalt it sounds and feels like I'm driving on a grooved road surface; there is a near constant roar coming from the tires at highway speeds. (Checked the tire pressure and they are at the recommended psi.) But everything else about the new Tucson is top notch! It's a head turner, for sure.

This car is great, with the 4WD I consistently get 33 HWY and about 24 around town, when I drive normal. Very comfortable to drive even on long trips. Since my car is fully loaded people have mistaken it for the Lexus or other high end cars until they see the Hyundai H. Great choice, I would pick it again.

For the most part I love the looks of the car inside and out. It is fun to drive but is a little rough and noisy. Wish they would have put 17 inch wheels instead of 18 on the Limited. I'm still waiting for the good mileage to kick in. Dealer says wait for 5K then it will, geez, really? The best I've had is 24 on freeway going flat and straight. In hind sight I would have paid a little more for a Honda CR-V.

Bought this car a little over 3 months ago. It replaced a Honda CR-V. I have nothing but good things to say about this car. Size wise it feels much larger then the CR-V, and much more comfortable for long rides. As far as style goes this car looks better and compares to some of the "high-end" types. I have people continually asking me "what kind of car is that?" The ride is smooth and the handling is very good. I like the options that come standard with the car (many of which are not in others). Overall the car is small and compact on the outside, but large and very comfortable on the inside. It gets decent gas mileage, and has plenty of "get up and go".

Traded in a 2004 Maxima for the new Tucson. Quite peppy for a 4-cylinder. Nice and quiet on the highway. Getting right about 25mpg with mixed driving in an AWD is outstanding! I can see with every rear-view mirror just fine. Actually turning my head to check traffic does produce some significant blind spots but managable with mirrors. Bluetooth and stereo controls are awesome but the iPod interface is a tad wonky, but works well when you get the hang of it. The horn belongs on a tiny pink plastic Barbie car. The leather interior is top notch and very comfortable. The cup holders are a bit large for most of the drinks I get but nothing sloshes around. I am extremely satisfied with this car!

We just purchased the GLS AWD Drive with the popular equipment package in Garnett Red. It has brown, taupe, and red interior. Really beautiful SUV that is turning heads. I have only had it a few days and so far we love it. The ride is solid with no rattles. But I have to say, we live in Pittsburgh where many of the roads infamous like riding on the BAJA trail. On these bumpy surfaces, it is a rough riding vehicle but very stable, controlled, solid, and quiet. If you are concerned about that aspect, you might want to opt for the fwd. It supposedly has a very supple ride. On two tanks of gas, I am averaging highway and city, about 25 mpg! So far, this vehicle is quality inside and out.

I wanted a compact suv/crossover with good fuel economy. Overall I am very happy with the car so far, thanks to it's compact dimensions it's easy to park and maneuver on busy San Francisco streets. It's spacious compared to my old Honda Civic. I opted for the pano moon roof and GPS which are great additions, they make the car feel higher end. I feel the car has adequate power, but than again I am happy to compromise power for the sake of better fuel economy. The styling is great, the car feels solid, and the warranty is best in class. I also looked at the Honda CR-V and Nissan Rouge, but I felt the Tuscon would be a better car for me.

A nice ride for short money

I just got my Tuscon. I traded in a 2009 Mazda6 that was just awful. The Tuscon has all the bells and whistles for $5,000.00 less than the Mazda and it's a lot of fun, fuel economy is better and the quality is far better. I am a big guy 6' 4" 290 lbs and I have loads of room in the Tuscon. It's got Nav, backup camera, XM radio and lots more. All the controls are simple and easy to set and understand. I would put this up against much more expensive Crossovers any day. You owe it to yourself to check it out. You won't be sorry.

Would buy another one.

This is my second Tucson. I owned a 2006 Tucson for four years and it was one of the most dependable and go-in- the-snow cars I had ever owned. I would still have my first one if Hyundai hadn't changed the body styles. I really love what Hyundai has done for the Tucson style. Hopefully, it will be mechanically as good as it's former model.

This is one of the best vehicle that I have ever driven. It has a quick response and a great fuel mileage. The design is very artistic. Plenty of room inside. I like the manual transmission mode combined with the traditional auto shift. My salesperson was excellent and I would buy this crossover again. The interior is of a luxury kind since I bought the gls extra pkg. Have on fear this vehicle has it over the Mmurano or the Toyota kind.

Traded in my trusty 2002 Santa Fe and went from a really good car to a great one. The Tucson gives you incredible value for your dollar. Am very impressed with both the crisp steering and the smooth ride. The build quality seems very solid. Have the Limited black exterior / black interior and it continually turns heads on the road. Well done Hyundai!

We did a lot of comparison shopping. We got the limited with multiple sun roofs and navigation system. Once these extras are added in, this car is the best value, with best mileage. We have driven 1600 miles, including one long trip. In general we have found this an excellent car with great mileage and a lot of nice extras. While the rear-view is somewhat limited through the window, our model has a back up camera. We are very happy with this car.

Too soon to evaluate reliability with 500 miles. Once you get used to the power steering in about 150 miles -- no issue AT ALL. Hard bumps are noticed but overall driving is nimble and sporty. Accelerates smoothly with little hesitation when your foot is squarely on the pedal. Drive sloppy and you get sloppy. 31-35 HWY but city driving, oh my!. I get off the highway and almost immediately go from 31 to 18-ish with little transition (I drive with the eco light on 90%). Test carseat before purchase. My 1 Britax in the middle makes seating for 2 more people VERY tight. Understand it is a SMALL cuv. Trunk hydraulics move up easily once you pop and nudge. Overall, VERY satisfied with purchase.

Purchased in January. I made a huge mistake by not test driving the one I bought (test drove others) and it turned out to have a defective tire. Once that was replaced the ride was still very uneven and choppy. Dealership service department (West Broad Hyundai in Richmond, VA) treated me very poorly while trying to resolve this. Ended up at another dealership (Gateway Hyundai) that was much more customer service oriented. They rebalanced the tires but the ride is still not what it was in the others I test drove. They have also had to replace the entire XM Satellite Radio/Navigation unit because it stopped linking to the satellite radio.

Shopped almost every CUV out there. Dealership, Key Hyundai in Florida is big part of reason we purchased. Warranty and way the car is put together are other reasons. Very comfortable on short or long trips. Interior rivals that of more expensive cars. Only have 1600 miles on it and only disappointment is the MPG. Average is 20.8 MPG. Was hoping to get an average of 24.0 MPG. But understand that it is Limited with AWD. First non Jeep we drove in 20 years. We are retired and this vehicle fits our needs. Coming from a car background I would recommend Hyundai to any consumer.

This vehicle is fun to drive and an excellent buy as long as you don't actually expect the Bluetooth to be functional. You'll hear your callers but they will have a horrible time hearing you as it picks up all road noise, etc. Dealership didn't believe me but I gave them the blogs from the internet. They checked with manufacturer who said they have received many other complaints and were looking for a software upgrade to solve the problem.

We just bought our 2nd Hyundai in the last 3 months. After buying a limited 2011 Sonata my wife started to look at Hyundai in a whole different way. After looking at chevy and gmc, vw. Hyundai was the Big winner! We only paid $23,900 for the Limited and if we had bought some other one with the same options we would have paid like 30K. And the warranty and the lower interest just made a simple deal. We are sold on Hyundai. Now we open our garage and we have 2 Hyundai looking Nice.

I just purchased my 2010 Tucson and it exceeded my expectations - I love it. Although it was hard to get (GLS with Popular PKG in Bronze) it was worth of the 3 weeks wait. There are only 2 things I would add as standard to this vehicle: 1) Outside Temperature meter 2) Two way console (deep and shallow) right now it's only deep. If you're on the market you have to take a look at that car as it's probably currently the best buy on the Market

I drive a LOT for work and this is a comfortable and fun car to ride when you have to be in it for long periods of time. I'm impressed with the leather, I use the bluetooth ALL the time as I am constantly making work calls - people say they sometimes can't tell I am on a bluetooth. Little unimpressed with the speakers. My first tank avg was 24 mpg, second was 25, third was 28. Just seems to go up! GREAT car! My dad, a picky car mechanic, even loves it!

My temperature gauge doesn't reflect the actual temperature until I've been driving the car for 15 minutes. Hyundai tech support told me that was normal and that is because of sensor that "chose" to put in the car. In other words, cheap or low end in my opinion. That must be the case with the Bluetooth too, because it doesn't work well either. My mileage averages 18 in the city. I was told it would be better after 5,000 miles, geez. I fill up constantly it seems. I must say I am disappointed with these things. If I had it to do over, I would consider the Honda CR-V or would have kept my Toyota Highlander I'm sorry to say.

I bought a Tucson in 2005 (it's first year) being a bit hesitant at that time of the brand, but wanting a SUV and loving the affordable price. Well after five years, 100,000 miles, and NOTHING ever going wrong with it, I decided to buy a new one. With it's new slicker exterior and interior, the 2010 has a bit more to offer. I opted for the all wheel drive this time, and the ride isn't as smooth, but the added features have been nice.

Coming from a BMW, I'm pleasantly surprised with Hyundai. They did a great job with the Tucson. Does it look like a luxury car, yes. Does it ride like a luxury car, unfortunately no. I notice the difference, but it's not enough to make me run out and buy a 45/50k BMW again. My first tank averaged approx 26/27 MPG and the second tank averaged approx 23/24 MPG. I drive 30 miles into the city for work daily (stop/go rush hour traffic - Chicago) and love only filling up ONCE a week instead of twice a week...oh, and I'm saving sooo much money since I no longer have to pay for premium!! I'm also surprised on the acceleration. For a 4cyl, it takes off. Friend drove it and thought it was a 6cyl.

I waited until I drove 2000 miles before writing a review. I absolutely love my black Tuscon and look forward to driving it everyday. It runs great and looks even better. In my opinion, it's the sharpest compact SUV on the road now. I'm averaging 24 MPG so I'm not complaining. This awesome vehicle is well worth the 26K I paid for it when I compare the Tucson's features to the competitors. I don't use the Bluetooth so I can't comment on that. I do, however, love the XM radio and i- pod player. The sound system is really good. I really like the way the dash controls and steering wheel controls light up in blue. This is the happiest I have ever been with a new car purchase!!

Driving my new at low speed Tucson is like driving on a railroad track. The suspension system is terrible. There is a terrigle clunking which the company rep says is there because the "magazine buffs" want it that way." According to the rep enough people complained so that they went back to Korea which said that's the way we want it even though the buyers disagreed. In addition it is poorly sound insulated so the spare tire chamber acts as a sound amplifyer. The dealer has tried to fix it to no avail. The company rep on the east coast is only willing to sing the company song! By the way my mileage is not what they advertised!

We've had the Tucson for one week. Traded in 2005 Ford Escape. Checked out VW Tiguan and Honda CRV. Tucson design inside and out won in our book. Interior fit and finish is excellent and options for the money are fantastic. We have 600 miles on the vehicle so far. Hwy. MPG=29.1 and mix city/hwy.=25.2. We think the ride comfort is good compared to other models tested. Transmission is excellent - very smooth six speed makes the four cylinder engine suprisingly snappy. Steering responsiveness seems right on as well as turning radius. Again for the money this seems like an excellent investment considering AWD, heated leather, navigation, panoramic sunroof and overall vehicle design.

I bought this vehicle in Feb 2010. The serious problem with this CUV is its smoothness in accelerator. It would suddenly stiff and may cause smooth running. I am still observing but would like HYUNDAI to please resolve this soonest possible, else, they may have to call back the vehicles. Someday it is smooth with av of around 10 L/100 km some day 12 L/100 km and stiff Accelerator/Sometime it hinders the smooth running the vehicle's speed.

After much research, and test driving a Ford Escape, I decided my give up my fully loaded Expedition for this sweet little ride. Compared to the Escape, the Tucson is a better ride, better interior design (no need to dismantle back seats to fold them down), it looks more expensive especially the interior, gets better gas mileage, a better warranty (plus road side assistance for 5 years), seats are more comfortable, and it has ample leg room for backseat passengers. What kept me with Fords for the last 3 car purchases was the keyless touch pad on the door, my all time favorite feature, however I will just have to learn to take my keys out of my purse before getting in the car.

You certainly do not need all the extras to feel good in the Tucson. It rides well, feels safe, (I haven't had to test the safety features!) looks and has been mistaken for a more expensive vehicle. There is plenty of leg room, front and back. I have driven a small car for years and was completely comfortable with the transition. I purchased my Tuscon in Jan 2010. I looked at and test drove a Rogue, Rav-4, and Matrix. I wasn't thinking about a Tuscon until I saw one in the showroom. After test driving one I was sold. It had more features than the other models I looked at and cost less! It has ample storage for my needs, has AWD for the rain and snow, and looks great. It even had better gas mileage, which for me is very important since I commute everyday. In the winter my average was around 22-23 real world miles but now that it's warmer my average has been 24-25 MPG. On a recent 5 hour trip I averaged 30 MPG! I'd like to note that the AWD is 4WD on demand and rides well in bad weather. I'd recommend to anyone.

I am loving my new Tucson! I've been finding reasons to go out just so I can drive it (i.e. more coffee runs, sightseeing). It's very zippy and I am super comfortable driving it. I've seen some people mention in other reviews & articles the tightness of steering is hard to get used to or seems rigid. I got used to it really fast. I think it handles great. The steering is sensitive, but I find I don't have to turn the wheel as much to make a turn, change lanes, etc. My friend came over and walked right past my car. She said "Oh, I thought for sure that wasn't your new car. It looks like a luxury SUV." She didn't believe it was a Hyundai. I was all smiles.

We really like the car but so far have been BITTERLY disappointed with the fuel mileage. For a mix of 60/40 freeway/urban driving, we are averaging about 24 mpg. Even on a highway trip with very favorable conditions, we only got a bit over 26 mpg. We know that we won't get the EPA-certified 31 mpg from the window sticker but it ought to do much better than it is doing. We had the Hyundai district rep look at it and test drive it. He got only 24 mpg too so he confirmed what we have claimed. He said the car is operating properly and there is basically nothing they can do. This seems very ironic when Hyundai is now advertising themselves as the most fuel-efficient cars in America.

Although I'm hesitant to say this, Hyundai as a brand never interested me until I actually took the time to research and drive one. The warranty is unbeatable and the luxury features you get for the price fall nothing short of making Acura and Nissan a look like a rip-off. Both the ride and engine feel solid. Gear shifts are smooth and fuel economy surprisingly good. Drafting a semi-truck at 55mph, I averaged 35 highway on the way home from work the other day. Although drive normally (70 mph, not behind a semi) and you're looking at 28-29 mpg highway. Remember when gas was $5/gallon? The 2010 Tucson is ready for that.

Getting over the Hyundai name was my biggest hurdle. In the past the design was so bulgy and bloated. It is obvious they out sourced the design of this car. It is so clean! The lines are smooth and strong, the fit and finish are the best in the business. The driving experience is fantastic. Not as plush as our Lexus RX 330, but I feel for the price, it is the best value by far.

Having owned KIA and Hyundai automobiles since 1987 I found the Tuscon to be one of the best built. I expect that the Tucson will match or exceed the quarter of a million miles that I and my family have put on each of our other Hyundais. Well made, great value, as well as great looks.

actually my model is a front wheel drive limited. i took months to choose. i wanted a small footprint car but ultimately justified a suv because it would get me out more. just back from 4,000 mile roadtrip within a month of buying it. it handled well--light on its feet, agile compared to my 2002 a4 audi sedan which i was trading in. it now seems higher and wider in the interior but shorter. i find i drive slower feel safer being higher. mileage varied 19-26 mpg on the trip. couldn't be happier. i think it looks better than any other suv on the road.

Nice SUV, when I first test drove it, it felt like a mini Lexus. I was impressed, and the same night we leased the car. I wish I can drive it every day but is my wife's car so I have to drive our 2001 Honda CRV. We also test drove the 2011 Sonata, it looks like a BMW and it drives great, wish I have the money to purchase the Sonata too. I am very impressed with Hyundai.

Very pleased, looked at Venza but reviews on 19" tires killed it. Tucson good get up and go, comfortable and nice tight handling. NAV system a real pleasure and easy to use. Most important is my wife likes it, her car! Back up camera nice feature, very useful in parking lots. Really liked the design and this was deciding factor vs. others in this size. Rides well, it's firm which my wife and I prefer, and for this type of vehicle is pretty quiet on all roads. No sqweaks, rattles etc, well built. Transmission extremely smooth best I've ever experienced. I have an Elantra and if the Tucson is comparable I have two great cars. Gas averaging around 24-26 all around, will take on a trip soon.

I wanted to post a quick review of how this car handles in the mountains. My wife and I recently purchased this vehicle in Denver and drove it up to our home in the Vail area. That is an elevation gain of over 5,000 ft so there are plenty of hills! The Tucson handled the hills amazingly. We have owned several 4 cylinder Subarus and the Tucson is so much faster on the hills and the transmission is flawless. I was skeptical about hyundai, but I am now a believer. The car is so stylish and so well appointed that I don't know how you could consider any other vehicle in this price range. It also has a lot more room than you would expect looking at it from the outside. Amazing car!

My first review of the new Tucson was on 1/5/10 w 300 miles on it. Now, with 1500, my opinion is the same. A great car in all respects. Only negatives (which I can live with) are the small gas tank (would have liked a 16-17 gal as on my 05), a door bell for a horn (they should have charges another $10 and it would be heard). The third is the front seat could have been wider. Maybe the leather is the confining aspect. aLSO, I do miss the rear window washer. I get 24-25 local but have not had it on the road for a long trip. This will come in late May. All in all, still very thrilled with the vehicle. Can't wait for the C&D report.

My Tucson is well put together and fun to drive. It has more pep than I thought it would have and the AWD is a boon here in Buffalo. The options and quality in the SUV remind me of more expensive models. Dual climate control works well. Car defogs quickly. Radio/Navigation system is impressive. Bluetooth and voice command on steering wheel works well. Car is quiet even with the sunroof open. Interior is nice and roomy and the seat warmers are wonderful. It is a pretty car.

I looked at a used Lexus hybrid, the Honda CRV and a used Mercedes M class and am delighted with the choice of the Tuscon. I love the way it looks and feels. We also have a Mercedes CLK in our household but needed a practical SUV but didn't want a gas guzzler. When I spotted the Tuscon I fell in love. Gas mileage, style and warranty tipped me in. I opted for the Limited, with leather but not the premium...I prefer using portable gps, and don't need a sunroof so the premium features aren't important to me.

Had my last Hyundai Tucson five years with no problems and was waiting for a style change. Wow! Bought the 2010 the minute I saw it and it didn't disappoint. Driving is easy, ride is comfortable, voice controls perfect, mileage is as projected. People stop me and ask about the car. Hyundai hit a home run with this vehicle. Congratulations to the design team and engineers who delivered a luxury automobile at an affordable price.

Its a very well put together truck. The designers did a great job with the new 170 hp engine very fuel efficient! The navigation system is touch screen and it also has a back up camera with grid to show if you are too close. I own a 2010 Veracruz and am very impressed with this 2010 Tuscon that I borrow it on a regular basis from my wife(its her car). I have owned many Hyundai's with very few dealer issues. After all in the beginning Mitsubishi was Hyundai's engine and transmission suppler with many problems ans now Hyundai makes all there own cars with very few problems. I have owned 10 Hyundai's and this is the best one ever!

I Love, Love, Love this car. It's amazingly nimble and drives like a car. This is like driving an Acura TL, but in an SUV version and with better gas mileage!!! everything about this car is amazing. You can really see that a lot of time and effort was put into REDESIGNING the 2010 model. This car should be priced at roughly $10,000 above what it currently sells for. If your in the market for a small, luxury SUV, then I have only one advice for you.....GET IT!

The rear visibility is a bit tough, but the rear camera really helps. It drives nicely w/ great power for a 4 cylinder. The price was not cheap, and the features that my 10 year old Ford has and this doesn't are very concerning. I cover them below.

I traded in an 06 Honda crv. The 2010 Hyundai Tuscon is an awesome car. This vehicle has it all... Power... Looks... Style, and is fun to drive. I travel 35 miles one way to work, all highway driving. This vehicle makes the ride very pleasant, on the high way the ride is smooth, and stable and quiet. When you have to pass another car it gets up and moves. I loved my Honda but Hyundai has made a believer out of me. I love this vehicle. If your in the market for one take a test drive and you will be hooked. The interior is well done and driver frendly, not to mention it looks awesome, especially at night. Great job Hyundai

I loved my '07 Tucson so I got another one this month. I really like the '10 design and I got the full add on package with navigation. This navigation system blows my garmin away. It is very accurate and the hands free voice input for nav and phone lets me keep eyes and hands where they need to be. These Tucson's are excellent vehicles and the value of their product and accessories beat the competition hands down. The only things I do not like are the timing belts that have to be replaced. Also, the 'subwoofer' that they brag about in my upgraded sound package is not even remotely noticed. My standard system in my 07 sounded just as good. Very disappointing.

All in all so far so good. I have owned 40 cars, and this is a very solid car. My only complaints so far. the noise of the engine while outside of the car idling (although inside you cant hear it), and the chrome rings on the air vents reflecting in the windows. In other words, small things. Only been getting 24 mpg so far... but mainly city, with an average speed of 30 mph.. so good in my opinion. Everything is very well laid out, easy to fine, and the vehicle is deceptively big. much more room inside than you would think from the outside. The stiffer suspension than most CUV's is nice, and you can really feel the weight (or lack there of) compared with other similar vehicles. A+ all around

Car (Limited model) is totally better than either my '05 GLS or "06 GL in every respect. The ride, quietness of engine under normal driving or demand was surprising. It appears to have as good (power) as my '05 w 6 cyl engine. Economy far better about 24+ in city and about 26-27 @70 mph. Car has only 300+ miles and fuel economy should improve. Interior done very well. Exterior beautiful. Handling very positive. All in all, Hyundai did one heck of a job on this new Tucson!

I just purchased a 2010 Hyundai Tuscon, and I love it! The new body design and interior are very attractive, and I got all the options I wanted for much less than other car companies sticker prices. The dealership also gave me the very highest blackbook value for my trade. The Tuscon drives like a car but allows me better visibility and a higher vantage point. I can't say enough nice things about the sales people at Hot Springs Hyundai--they were honest, forthright, and a pleasure to do business with.
