Try and make sure that all recalls are taken care of before you purchase. Also, even though there has not been a recall. Look into whether or not the fuel sending units have been replaced. In some states they will cause your car to fail inspection. Repair at a reputable shop is not terribly expensive. We have owned 5 Hyundai's since '99 An Accent, Elantra, 06 Santa F and 2 07 Santa Fe's. 1st one was totalled and I loved it so much I bought another. Not the cars fault it has high mileage (138k now) and needs repairs. But repairs have been things that a car with this mileage needs. ie wheel bearings, brakes, the afore mentioned fuel sending units. Engine still runs well. Transmission is tight. Heated seats and sun roof are tremendous.

I have owned this Santa Fe since it was new. A lot of repairs. Most were covered under warranty. The worst is the valve cover gasket. It has been replaced 5 times. It drips oil on the alternator then it shortens the life of the alternator and then the battery. The alternator replaced 3 times and battery 2 times. Hyundai did finally own up and reimbursed me for the repairs. But now I don't have a Hyundai dealer. There was a recall on the alternator/ valve cover replaced both 9/15. There is oil on the alternator again. Plus the power seat is junk too, replaced twice. The rear tires are very sensitive to alignments. I'm on my 3rd set, less than 100,000

I bought my used 2007 Limited in late 2014, when it was already nearly eight years old and had 124,500 miles on it. I certainly had doubts about buying a CUV with mileage that high, but the test drive impressed me enough to roll the dice. I'm glad I did. My Santa Fe has been a joy to own for the past year. I've put nearly another 15-k miles on it with no problems. The engine still purrs, the interior and exterior look great (I keep it clean and wash it frequently) and the climate control system works to perfection. The car is for me a perfect combination of size, power, and good looks. The only non-routine expense of the past year was the replacement of both fuel senders, which has been a noted trouble spot for Santa Fe's in general. My previous vehicle was a Mazda Tribute ES, which I loved for its sporty feel and quick acceleration. The Santa Fe isn't quite the same racehorse, but it's a much smoother ride. All in all, a terrific CUV. If you can locate a good used one, don't necessarily be put off by a high odometer reading. With normal maintainence, this car will last.

I love this car with the exception of getting in and out. The previous owner put bigger tires on it which makes getting in and out difficult for a short person. It had 63,546 miles on it when we bought it used. So within 6 months of owning the car i will have to have timing belt replaced! That should been done refore car was ever put out to be sold!

We tend to be rough on vehicles. With six grandkids (five school age) riding to school each day, then an average of seventy to eighty miles per day being put on this vehicle, it has held up great. Any warranty issues were handled by the dealer with no problem. One hundred and sixty thousand miles and counting!

This car was passed down to us from my grandparents, then to my parents, now us. It was originally purchased as a grocery/errands car and now is our everyday driver. This car is fantastic. Never had any major problems. Just one, our sunroof wind deflector came loose and we had that fixed by the dealer. We purchased a brand new 2012 Mazda Cx-7 with similar options minus leather and this car blows it out of the water. More power, better gas MPG, seat warmers are warmer. My daughter has much more room and it has much better trunk space. The Mazda has been nothing but issues since 30k miles. We are at 93k on the Hyundai with NO problems. Buy Hyundai it is totally worth it!

I bought my 2007 Santa Fe in 2010 when it had 58xxx miles. It now has 166xxx miles. I've never reviewed a car so I'm going to throw it all out there. The car is a stud, I've had it through winters in both Colorado and New York. The AWD is exceptional and even in 2 feet+ of snow the vehicle pulls like a beast, even with the smaller engine. I've been stuck in a snowstorm pulling a 5x10 uhaul trailer and buzzed right passed all the stranded vehicles. I have the 3rd row seating model and it has been perfect for all my kids. I added a Phillips rear entertainment system and it wired in easily. Also replaced the head unit with a Sony Bluetooth/XM model. UPDATE*** Edmunds sent me an email and asked me to update the review. Since I posted this review the vehicle now has 187k on it. It is falling apart slowly but surely. About 175k it needed about 3k in front end work. Now some sensors have went out and it shuts off intermittently, it needs another 3k or so of work so it just sits outside and I use it on real snowy days. In all honesty I'd still buy another one but I have newer vehicles. It pulled trailers from New York to Colorado back to Georgia to New York again and back west to Colorado. If I didn't pull trailers all the time it probably would of held up longer. I can't say I regret purchasing the vehicle, it has never needed any major work and all the work it has needed has been well over 100k.

Driveshaft Broke

Driveshafter broke at 134,000, which pulled the ball joint out of the right front wheel, throwing a piece of metal into the serpentine belt, breaking it. The right front tire fell off. Thankfully, I was driving thru a parking lot when all this happened. Earlier I was going down I-70 at 70 mph. There is a recall for 2013 driveshaft breaking but Hyundai doesn't want to admit there is a problem with the driveshaft. It doesn't just break.

... at the worst possible time... in the worst possible way. I chose this car mainly on Hyundai's good reputation and was convinced it would be durable. These are important things when choosing a used vehicle. 5 months and 6K miles in, the transmission went and cost me 3.5K to fix. Not what I had in mind when I spent $11,5K on it! I've had good ownership experience of VWs, Toyotas and Hondas in the past and while you have to maintain and keep up, none of them let me down, so the Hyundai is on its own. If you're considering it as an alternative to a CRV/RAV4/ Highlander/Pilot/Forester don't, this car cannot pretend to be anywhere near of these. If you really must pay $2K for a dealer warranty

Our Santa Fe now has about 85,000 miles on it and so far so good. We have had no major (and very few minor) problems with the vehicle. Still no squeaks or rattles, runs great, no fluid leaks, solid feeling and quiet on the road. We hope to keep the vehicle well into the 100K mile range. We'll see. Seems like Hyundai has done well on this model. I highly recommend it. My only regret is not getting the package that includes the 3rd row rear seat. Will do so next time.

Wave of Problems at 4 Year Mark

Problems started mounting right after 60,000 mile warranty mark. First problems with rattling in front end and sway bars, then problems with electrical failure. Not satisfied that paying thousands of dollars in repair costs for relatively new car. Reading reviews, have found that many issues start right after warranty ends on Hyundais. Won't be buying Hyundai again.

I have a 1996 Ford Taurus with 155000 miles on it and a 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe with 15000 miles on it. Both cars are driven on similar roads most of the time. The Taurus has scratches on the body but no rust spots whereas the where ever there are scratches on the Hyundai, it starts to rust. This is a major problem with this SUV.

This is my Second Santa Fe, having owned a 2003 previously. Overall, this is a great vehicle, having really no major issues over the past almost 5 years. Don't know if I'll own another one due to the overall cost of owning the newer models, but I'd recommend this vehicle to anybody. I get questions about it all of the time. I'm very happy with this vehicle.

I didn't see a place in the ratings for that, but it seems the Santa Fe has a penchant for tires. Something I read on another forum about the way the AWD has a natural toe-in or something. Whatever...I never seem to get more than 35,000 miles out of a set of tires, which is expensive as hell with 18" wheels. Other than than, this car has been a gem. My friends bought an Infinity Crossover the same year, for $25,000 more, and were shocked...wouldn't have spent the extra money if they'd known the Hyundai's were so nice. But Hyundai was still working the "cheap" reputation back then. No longer. We've been looking at a Vera Cruz now, but new models are due so I think we'll wait to upgrade.

I couldn't be happier with my Santa Fe. I've had to replace a headlight bulb and the tires but the rest has just been maintainence. I just switched it over to synthetic oil and had the transmission flushed and the thing is riding smoother than I can remember in quite a while. The factory cd deck died on me but that just gave me an excuse to by a nicer one. All in all, I'm very pleased.

Owned this car for a year & a half and have had nothing but problems. Sway bar bolts (or something to that effect) had to be replaced. A/C died -- need a new compressor ($1000+), and now we need new fuel level sensors. The most disturbing thing is our mechanic has told us that ALL of these problems are common with the 07 Santa Fe. We bought this car because of Hyundai's great reputation, but I can tell you, we're not impressed. Will never buy another Hyundai.

I purchased the Hyundai because they touted their long warranty. I have attempted to have a vent knob repaired, which is covered "under warranty". The car has been to the dealer 3 times (a total of 18 hours) and I have spent over 3 hours on the phone to try and convince HyundaiUSA to fulfill their warranty. Each time I bring it to the dealer, they conveniently find another item that needs to be repaired, that is not covered by warranty. The dealer insists that it will take them, "the majority of the day", to repair and "I must leave it with them". I obtained a part to repair it myself. It took 4 minutes and 25 seconds. HyundaiUSA shame on you for condoning these unscrupulous actions.

I can't tell you how many times my Santa Fe has been confused for the Lexus RX 350. In fact I work at a Lexus dealership and have driven the RX 350. I would put it in the same comfort and drive-ability category as the Santa Fe.

BEWARE!!! Clutch failed at 41,000 miles, 3 years of normal use. No towing of anything. Dealer where purchased out of business, new dealer not at all helpful. Charge was $160 to eyeball, another $500 if I wanted parts removed for inspection. Cannot buy aftermarket parts. Replacement parts $1,000, throw in another $1500 if new flywheel is needed. Cannot be resurfaced, dual mass. This dealer sees no problem with a $2,500 to $4,000 charge for fix. I DO!! If thinking about stick shift of any newer Hyundai vehicle in your "FUTURE" especially if in the East Bay of northern California, best to think again.

This is my second Santa Fe (I previously owned a 2004) and I still love this vehicle after 3 years! Although I did not get the third row seat this vehicle is very roomy for my needs. I like sitting up high and I still enjoy driving this vehicle and will keep it for a few more years. The only issue I have had is I needed to replace my tires already and found out that 18 inch tires for this vehicle are fairly rare and expensive. I also had a sensor that went bad, but is was covered under the warranty. I do not regret getting the special outer/inner coating that has helped keep the outside and inside looking fresh and smelling brand new. I wish it had an MP3 hook up.

We had to replace our power steering pump at about 10,000 miles. because of a winding noise coming from it at start up. at 11,000 the noise had returned. Other than that vehicle is very comfortable. and responsive. I really love the new body style.

I have had serious issues with numerous sensors that make the vehicle impossible to inspect. According to the dealer there also appears to be a short in the air bag and they can't say for sure if it works. The dealer refuses to fix any of the electrical problems because it has 70,000 miles. As far as I am concerned the car is worthless.

Bought used w/ 30K miles. Having driven 10K miles in 6 mos., I have only good things to say (except about the headlights, which are too dim). Pre- & Post-purchase research revealed that: 1) only the bigger engine has a timing chain, not a belt; 2) tow package includes a transmission cooler & high- capacity radiator, & the tow bar wraps under the exhaust pipes to protect them; 3) the 18 in. Tires provide better handling and road feel than the 16 in. Tires; 4) the 3rd row has its own ac controls, which helps appease children who have to sit there; 5) only the awd version has the nice brushed-aluminum dual-exhaust tips; & 6) the Santa Fe shares an assembly line w/ the sonata, but has its own platform

Not comfortable to drive

I cannot get comfortable in the driver's seat. I love everything about it except driving it! Have had to replace tires too soon because of an alignment problem. Noticed the new tires wearing and checked the alignment and it was out just a tiny bit, don't know why my tires are wearing on the inside. There is a clunking noise under the front. I feel like something is going to fall off. I'm thinking of trading it for a Forester. It has 65k miles on it and hasn't given me any real problems and it was great in the snow. Average 22 mpg, maybe 25 on interstate. I hate climbing in this vehicle. I just cannot get the seat adjusted to fit the steering wheel comfortably. It has great brakes and radio.

Had car for over 3 years, and with a lot of interstate driving around Chicago, I am on my 4th front windshield. My front fog lights have burned out twice, replaced 1 headlight, and on my second set of tires already. Gas mileage isn't bad. Definitely better than my wife's Lexus. Added aftermarket Sirius(hate XM) and aftermarket in dash GPS/DVD. Other than usual maintenance, it gets the job done. It isn't flashy, and of course you see them everywhere now, so thats good I guess. Front of car is making sounds now, coworker said it may be struts?

We bought our Santa Fe because we needed more room for a new baby. We like the built-in storage in the back and the fold down rear seats. Wish it had more storage space for toys, diaper bag, etc. but overall a great car! The only time it's been back to the dealership has been for oil changes. I would highly recommend this vehicle to anyone because it has a lot of standard features you can't get from similar SUVs unless you pay a lot more.

This is the best of the best SUV in the world...I love my 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe Limited 4dr SUV AW. It is in the shop getting fixed for the fuel sensor it went bad and fog lights go out, but I miss my SUV. I had a sonata 2001 Hyundai now my son drives it. My next SUV will be another Hyundai. Love them. Oh, and I would love to give a shout- out to the Ontario service department. They are the best service in the world!

We have owned our SanteFe XL AWD for nearly 3 years now with 21,500 miles. Still a great vehicle for us and plan to keep for another year. When bought new it was a hands down choice vs Highlander, Pilot, the Mazdas, Nissans or Subarus. Leather & interior has held up very well, outside finish has held up very well. No squeaks or rattles, still a quiet cabin and same good ride and you set up high. One problem, mirror with remote garage door opener died, fixed in one day at dealership. In Denver are we have averaged 20 mpg with 65% in town short trips. Best 25 on mountain interstate driving, worst about 16 oi short trips cold/snow driving. Brakes and tires holding up well

I just hit the 3 year mark on my Santa Fe. It has been great. I normally replace my cars every 2 yrs or so, but in this case, I like this vehicle so much, I am keeping it. My only problem thus far has been the alternator needing to be replaced. Otherwise, this vehicle has been trouble free.

Still love my Santa Fe!

I read these reviews when I considered buying a new Santa Fe in 07, so I am writing one to any prospective buyer. I have owned my Santa Fe for over 2 years and I still love it as much as the day that I bought it! In fact, it still drives and rides just like new. Cabin is quiet and comfortable and the paint has an unbelievable shine. I keep vehicles that I love and intend to drive my Santa Fe for many years to come. Braking Problem

I have 2007 Senta Fe that had CV joint rotation issue. i had it replaced. Later I have an issue with its breaks. It seems to have a longer breaking distance than SUVs I ownered before. In the last snow storm, the vehicle failed to stop safely within 25 feet @ a speed of 15 MPH. It resulted in a $6000 frontal damage to my car, with minor damage to car in front. I had the brakes checked and the shop told me that brakes/ pads are fine. I do not know how to correct this issue. Can anyone advise me how to resolve this issue? Thanks.

I've had my Santa Fe almost 3 years and have put almost 45,000 miles on it. The only time it's been back to the dealership is for oil changes! The car is such a pleasure to drive, its so smooth you can't feel the transmission shift even under hard acceleration. The engine is whisper quiet even when underway, merging into traffic. The interior is holding up beautifully and the cloth seats are proving to wear very well. I love the adaptable transmission and how it adjusts to your driving style. I'm averaging about 27 mpg on the highway and overall its a great car that I plan to drive it for a long time.

I have owned my Santa Fe for 2 years and have loved it completely. Taken multiple trips out west and have had no problems. If driven properly on highway, it gets 24mpg. Otherwise it stays around 20mpg. For the money, this is the best SUV to buy. Have yet to get it stuck with the AWD. I would absolutely recommend this vehicle to others and am going to get another one in the future.

We've had our Santa Fe for 3.5 years. It just hit 104,000 kms. Other than oil changes, we have had no problems. Minor things like cloth coming out from door handle a bit but that is it. Great ride, lots of storage, great for families. Considering buying it out at the end of our lease

Honestly, i was iffy about getting a hyundai at first, but it seems they have improved a lot over the years. I just bought my Sante Fe this afternoon, and it's great! I love the interior!! I was comparing it to my friend's '07 Infiniti G35. All I know is I love my interior better!! Love the heated seats, dashboard light dimmers, and all that space in the trunk. Not to mention how smooth it drives. I was lucky enough to get my Limited Edition for a very good price. All I can say is that I'm extremely satisfied... for now atleast! Let me drive it around for another year or so and I'll be back with more info.

I tested Honda CRV and Toyota RAV 4 before I tested the 2007 Santa Fe. What a sharp contrast: the Santa Fe had better interior and exterior design and better build quality. I have already put 65,000 kms on this SUV, not a single problem has been noticed. Last year, Vancouver BC had the worst snow in 4 decades, my Santa Fe was fabulous in snow, and brought me to almost every where without difficulty. Besides the quality and design, keep in mind, this model has won top safety award in the US. Many people actually don't know that this model was designed by the global top engineers. The chief designer who designed Santa Fe now is the chief designer for Mercedes Benz in North America!

I don't know if its just us, but in 45,000 miles we have replaced (3) foglamps and (5) low beam headlamps ... what is the problem ? otherwise, i have no complaints ... but it is a problem that needs to be resolved by Hyundai

I have had 2 coil packs go bad. 2 oxygen sensors go bad. Twice they had to replace the front sway bars and it sounds like they need replaced again. The right front hub was replaced and now I have a clunking noise when it is down shifting, shifting up from 1st to 2nd and also it happens in reverse. I currently have 63000 miles. 40000 hwy. I bought it for the style and I had a couple other Hyundai's so I thought it would be good quality. I don't know if mine was made on a Friday when they wanted to leave early for the weekend and rushed the job, but I'm hoping Hyundai will do something about my continued problems with it. We'll see.

Before choosing this vehicle, I tested Honda CRV and Toyota Rav4 (4 cylinders) but ended up with total disappointment. Both vehicles were overpriced and underpowered. Then I tested Honda Pilot and Toyota Highlander. I preferred Highlander. However, I decided to give Hyundai Santa Fe a try. As soon as I drove the demo on the highway, I immediately fell in love with this model: beautiful exterior and interior design , excellent sound system and more importantly, a very dynamic and sporty power train but with a much more reasonable price tag. I have put over 37,000 miles on the SUV, not a tiny problem. I always brought the vehicle to the dealer for recommended services. the best SUV choice!

Good at start but not Long Term

We bought this after owning a CRV. We really liked having the V6, the ride quality, and how smooth of a ride it gave off. We were also impressed that the V6 gave us very similar gas mileage as the CRV but with so much more power. However the love affair began wearing off this past year. We had the Check Engine light come on 3 times and then the Passenger Seat Airbag light began going crazy. Everytime our dealership gave us crap answers that something needed reset, recalibrate, or as in the case of the seat could not replicate. Nothing ever got fixed. So in the end between the dealership experience(only Hyundai dealer in area) & the car issues this was probably our one and only Hynudai.

My first "new" car & I have had nothing but issues. I bought it used with 15k. I have had it less than 3 years now & have had to replace the tires 4 times & have to get an alignment every 4 months...I only do hwy driving! My catalytic converters just went out at $1300 a piece & I only have 60k on the car....thank god for the federal law that is making them replace it. I always have issues with the sensors, car doesn't start in the cold & nuts & bolts seem to always fall off of it. I am on my way to pick up my car from the shop (97 miles away) & am going to trade it in on something that is NOT a HYUNDAI!

Have had what I would call excessive road noise especially at highway speed. This problem continues even after wheel alignment check, which was negative and tire rotation. Bridgetone tires may be the culprit. A very minor issue is the front license plate screw holes are just part of the plastic grill area and now have stripped which will probably create a loose front license plate.

I purchase this car for my wife's birthday a couple of years ago. She has been the primary driver. I have maintained the vehicle since new, and the only things I have done are routine maintenance. The tires will need to be replaced soon, but they are OEM and have give good service. The fit and finish rival the best SUV's out there. It has NO squeaks or rattles and the paint looks like new. The last time I had the tires rotated and balanced the brakes showed only 50% wear. My wife's cars always eat pads, so I am really impressed. Everything works just like it was new. Absolutely no problems. The warranty is the best in the industry. Can't beat it.

Now at 25000 miles it has been in the shop 4 times for throttle sensor issues. Actually had the dealer I purchased the vehicle from deem the car UNSAFE to drive out of their repair shop at 18,000 miles. RIDICULOUS. Never owned such a undependable vehicle. This vehicle has been a joy to drive. I still have not Had any of the problems written about by others. I have not had any interior light problems either.  This could be because I purchased vehicle at the end of May 2007.  Earlier models in the year may not have had all of the interior map/dome lights and automatic switches installed at time of purchase.  I learned from past experience to purchase a new vehicle as late in model year as possible.  This way manufacture, would have gotten feed back on your particular model/make. For example; if you purchased your Santa Fe Limited 3.3 liter engine in september of 2006, interior lights may not have come on when doors were opened. Later on yes.

I bought the car new in November 2007. Having high hopes this would be the last car I would have to buy for a long time. I had the car in for the 15,000 mile maintenance in July 2009 and mentioned it had started making a roaring noise, more prevalent at lower speeds. I was told it was tire noise and the tires were feathering. I have had the tires rotated at the specified times why would they feather? If they are feathering at 15,000 miles something's wrong! I have not been able to get any results from Hyundai as to the real problem. The car is also downshifting hard at 30 miles when coming to a stop. I don't think I'll be buying any make, model or type of Hyundai again.

Chronic Sensor Problems

Although a comfortable car, I have had chronic problems with the sensors since it reached about 13,000 miles. I currently only have 21,000 miles, and yet it has been in the shop three times this summer, and probably 8 times last summer. Every time they think they have found which sensor it is, a few weeks later the check engine light comes on after the car starts hesitating and what seems like misfiring. When you pay $26000 for a new car, you should be able to rely on it when you still have such low mileage.

I bought this vehicle almost totally based on looks then the problems started i put a new transmission in it at 22,000 KM then i got it towed to Saskatoon cause the speedometer was bouncing up and down and the check engine light came on got it there and they said nothing was wrong then the found that the brain was not working they replaced that then the sunroof started to leak so they replaced that after they did that it leaked worse now they say there is nothing they can do to fix it then i broke down on my way to Edmonton the fuel control throttle went on it and they had it for about a week to fix that i have had nothing but problems i talked to Hyundai Canada and they won't do anything!!

I test drove or looked at other small SUVs. I purchased the Santa Fe Limited. The 3.3 liter engine is the best choice as appose to the 2.7 liter engine. My mechanic told me that the smaller engine is just a hiped up four cylinder engine. Even though the gas mileage suffers some what. The added power was worth it to me. I love driving this truck. it handles like a car and rides smoothly. After two plus years,the firm ride has loosened up a bit. I've driven it from New York to Soutn Carolina, to Montauk Point and Orient Point from Western Nassua. Also four trips to Maryland. The Santa Fe had good manners at highway speeds. It did not drift like others have reported. I love everything.

My first try with a Hyundai. Live in NE and wanted a 4-WD. Expected fair value at best but very suprised. Happy with overall performance. A real tank in the snow. Unstoppable. Purchased car used with 17K miles from dealer. Reading was 20.1 mpg, drove it home and mpg began to drop immediately. Went as low as 12.8 but then had problem with 02 sensor. Dealer said that mileage would improve after replacement. It got a little better, now back up to 15.1, city.On trips to Tahoe the best mpg was 18. Overall, I like the car but given the times, one can't make buying decisions on cars w/o taking mpg into account. I would never have bought this car if I'd known what the true mileage would be. I think that all of the disclaimers given by both the dealers and the feds are outrageous. A consumer should be entitled to minimal expectations for such a critical feature.

Love to look at Santa Fe from any angle. Every bit as nice as any SUV in it's size and I feel like I'm in a Lexus or a BMW with really no trade-off. Two years, 41k and still seems like new. Competent handling vehicle all-around. Excellent utility, visibility, pleasure to drive, haul stuff, and to carry 4-5 passengers. I regularly have 4 adults and 4 sets of golf clubs. Paint shine great. Blue lighting on the dash being so nice. People are impressed by this car. Friend with an 07 Jeep Cherokee which was double the price, he comments that his car has virtually no advantage over mine. He has rarely ever engaged his 4 wheel drive. He gets 15mpg, I average 22 around town and 26 hwy.

Having owned this vehicle almost 2 years I can say that it is one impressive vehicle. I was skeptical at first about buying a Hyundai but I'm glad I did. The car has held up extremely well and there are no issues whatsoever. I drove the Rav4, CR-V, Vue, CX-7, and Murano before deciding on the Santa Fe and do not regret it to this day. A deer ran out in front of me one night not too long ago and had to replace the front bumper, driver side headlamp,driver front fender and various components. Though insurance covered it the total cost was close to $5,000.00, it is not a very cheap vehicle to repair if ever in a minor accident.

This is the 3rd Hyundai I have owned. The first was over 20yrs ago when we lived on the west coast. Brought it back to the midwest and was so happy with performance. 15 years later I got an Elantra. Loved it till my son totaled it in an accident. It did in an accident. It held up very well. Now I have my Santa Fe..2 years now. It has been fun to drive, mileage traveling 24-29 mpg on the hwy and never less than 19.5 even in our Michigan winters. When I need a replacement(hopefully many years away) I will head right back to my dealer for another Hyundai

I love this suv it's 3000 less than a rav4 and is 2500 less than a crv I got into a minor accident with a parked truck and my Santa Fe only got $1253.11cdn worth of damage. And the truck got $5000.00. That tells you something! I've only had one problem and that is the battery in Canadian winters is useless [go to Costco and get a cheap battery it's better than this one]

I am leasing this vehicle and may buy it at lease-end. I have had no problems with it at all and no squeaks as some have complained of. I consistently get close to 18 MPG in the city and 22-25 on the highway. The Santa Fe feels very secure and with most SUVs, you get a nice commanding view of the road. The 2.7 engine can be a little sluggish - I'd rather have the 3.3 engine.

I have read a lot about different owners obtaining either normal or low mileage with the SF. My vehicle (2.7L- 4sp auto)is rated for 24/20. If driven carefully, coasting, no jackrabbits, moderate 50 mph speeds, I have obtained 30 mpg on long trips. My normal is around 22 mpg. So much depends on your driving style. For those with low mileage, get the lead out of your shoes.

I recently purchased a used 2007 Santa Fe GLS. I'm impressed by the improvements over my 2002 Santa Fe GLS, except in one area: the ride is rougher. I can feel every little bump and pothole. I'm not happy with the Bridgestone Dueler HT 684II tires on this vehicle. They are noisier than the BFG Long Trails on my 2002, and ride rougher. First Hyundai. Nothing but Toyota's last 15 years. The Santa Fe had, better styling, more interior room, especially with the third row seats, and a better overall value. We got a limited loaded, including leather and sunroof and third row seating for about what we would have paid for a basic Highlander. We love the Santa Fe. Two years and 40k miles. Some issues, paint chips too easy, slight hesitation in the transmission, especially when going from reverse to drive, rt rear door weatherstrip came loose, Front interior lighting didn't come on with doors, my neighbors 08 did, dealer took care of it by adding an update which was great. 20/24 mpg. Fun to drive. Larger 3.3 is better choice.

We traded in our 2002 Santa Fe Limited for this one after checking Toyota and Honda. We get about 20 mpg over all in the summer and 23-24 over all mpg on long trips, about what they predicted. The only draw backs we have found are that the right rear seat belt buckle will not come out of the seat hole far enough to get it buckled up. The cruise control is to slow to respond so you can drop 5 to 7 mph on inclines before you get back up to speed (frustrating for the people following you). Hyundai does not have a fix for these and maybe nobody else has these problems as I haven't see it listed before. We still love the car and would buy another.

My car has rattled in the back end and I was told at 20,000 miles I need two new struts. This did not solve the problem and I still have the rattle. I also have had my check engine light on several times and the last time it was blinking. I have had the fuel pump replaced in it also. I had to have knew tires at 22,000 miles because it was out of lined. I bought the car with 8000 miles on it and I feel that this was a damaged program car! I love the car, the room it has in it, and my sun roof, but have been unhappy with it breaking down all the time!

We tested a lot of medium SUV's, and we finally chose this car for it's style and value. The road noise is pleasantly quiet for a car of this type. The thermometer and compass (both standard equipment) were big pluses. We strongly recommend the larger (3.3L) V6 engine for its better acceleration and handling. The Santa Fe has been a joy to drive. It feels more like a car than a SUV. Our gas mileage has been 20.5 mpg in combined city/hwy driving.

Bought the Santa Fe in Nov. '07 and all was great. When the weather started to warm up and we used the A/C it would only work when it wanted too. Took it in to the dealer and they couldn't guarantee that they had fixed it. Have had it in six times and they still can't find the source of the problem. On the fifth time they kept it for almost one month. The sixth time was last week, picked it up and within one hour the A/C wouldn't work. Have been in contact with Hyundai about a replacement car since this one now falls under the category of a lemon but they have been slow to respond. Other than the A/C problem the car is great.

After eying crossovers for a couple of years and test driving several, the new Santa Fe caught my eye, and it was the first crossover I got excited about. Only have 1700 mi on it, but am extremely pleased with safety, performance, and styling. Getting 22.5 mpg - better than my Jeep Grand Cherokee. Good visibility, especially the big windshield. Smooth ride, good acceleration. Powerful A/C as needed here in AZ. Now my neighbor who rides to work with me wants one! If I continue to be this pleased, would do it again in a heartbeat. As others say, first thing that struck me when I climbed in was "more bang for the buck."

23,000 flawless miles! Well almost. It's only been back to the dealer once after about 2000 miles to reset the check engine light. It hasn't come back on since. Also, the auto climate control got stuck on 68 degree outdoor temp and they fixed that. There's a TSB on it. Since that time all I've done is change the oil. I also pull a 3000 lb small travel trailer with it occasionally. Pulls it great. Very stable. MPG with trailer is 10-13. MPG without trailer= city 17-18 / Hwy 22-25. The best mpg I ever got was a long trip locked on cruise on a fairly flat road going 65 to 72 mph max. It averaged 25.6. On the trip back I went 75-80 and it got 23.5.

I have had this car now for about 1 1/2 years and only had 1 minor problem that the dealership took care of instantly. I am very satisfied after 1.5 years. Mileage could be better but I still enjoy all the features and the vehicle has held up well thus far. I use it a lot for work to transport things. I have no complaints with the vehicle thus far.

The Hyundai Santa Fe is a wonderful compact SUV, that drives like a car, but is extremely versatile. My SF has 3rd row seats so that I can seat up to 7 passengers, unbelievable! Also, if I have 2 with car seats and one older child I can put one car seat in the back and still have the other backseat down (split folding seats in the 3rd row) which is great for cargo. This vehicle is smooth and the interior is beautiful. The industrial design of the interior is so much better then the cheap plastic of Toyota RAV4 or Honda CRV. The interior is very classy and the V6 engine is powerful yet gas efficient. I have 12k miles on my 2007 SF and am getting 24 mpg per tank on 50% hwy & 50% city drivin

We selected the Limited for the package creature comforts. I made my decision based on comfort for my 6'4" height. Have found the ride smooth yet agile, and braking response is excellent. Interior has good ergonomic display, the fit and finish is rich rivaling many upscale players in this market. We chose not to have third row seating, rather have the ample storge, including the hidden compartment in back. Selecting platinum sage paint with grey leather allows the vehicle to stay cooler in the heat of summer. Tinted rear glass helps for both security and interior temps. Observing an average 22-24 mpg we are pleased with the fuel economy. At six months one word: Awesome.

Owned '00 Audi A4, '90 Honda Accord, '04 Jeep Liberty & '99 Ford Explorer. Santa Fe exceeds even the Accord in ownership experience so far. Accord has 251k miles and we expect the Hyundai will be kept that long as well. We have GLS w/FWD, 2.7L, A/C, Shiftronic and XM radio... hard to imagine needing more in an SUV. At 13k miles, we avg 24 MPG (40% city/60% hwy driving w/ air always on). Great suspension much like the MB ML320; decent engine torque like the BMW 2.5L inline-6; class-leading interior like 07 Audi A6. No problems so far.

When I bough my SUV i had been researching and looking for a new car for approximately 5 months. I decided I really wanted an SUV, and the newly designed Santa Fe was the first to catch my eye. My family was skeptical because everyone thought Hyundai was a not so great brand of car. They were wrong!!! With the warranty, I decided to give it a go. I have had my car for 15 months and it was an awesome purchase!! No problems whatsoever and it drives like a car, which is something I was looking for. I wasn't so sure about my beige interior either, but in my black car, it looks very classy... like myself! The only thing I would change would be to offer a sunroof package with all the models!!

I have previously had two Fords,(will never have another one because quality was poor and customer service poorer) and a Honda CRV. I have never been more pleased with this Hyundai Santa Fe! I was drawn at first to the great exterior design and after stepping into the driver's seat was sold. The back seats recline so that my kids can nap on long trips and the 3rd row seat has been a lifesaver for this soccer mom. I love the engine's get up and go. Plenty of power outlets. Never had XM before but now I'm addicted. The blue interior lights are easy on the eyes. I have interior lights when I open my car doors, not sure what other people are missing. I love, love, love this Car!!!

I have had a great experience. Almost one year. Only trouble thus far cloth came away from driver side door handle, will be fixing. Also the esc light came on. Took it in to dealer was fixed right away, awesome service. There is no button or lever to "pop the trunk" even on key chain. Would love this when carrying a baby & bags in & out of car. Drives smooth, everyone who rides in car is always impressed. This is the best value after lots of research with other brands. Spend the extra money for the sante fe over the Tucson. Its worth it.

This is one of the best cars I have ever owned. I reviewed every vehicle in this category and I found this was by far the best choice for me. Hyundai has really stepped up the offering since the current model's predecessor. In the Limited 2wd model there are many creature comforts including leather, dual temp control, pwr seats, rear DVD, front CD changer, moonroof and more. Outstanding fuel economy from an amply-powered V6. Lighting is excellent, making night driving easy and the ride is smooth. Oil changes every 7500 miles with synthetic oil as recommended by my dealer.

We have now owned our Santa Fe for one year and so far still very satisfied. Other than a minor paint problem we have done nothing to it but change oil and rotate tires. The performance and ride is still very responsive and quiet. Body integrity seems to be holding up with no significant squeaks or rattles. I just replaced the cabin air filter and I have one word of advice...do it on schedule. I was amazed at how dirty it was. All in all I really have nothing to complain about.

My wife and I spent 2-3 months researching the purchase of a new vehicle to replace our worn-out Dodge Caravan minivan. Final decision came down to the Santa Fe and Toyota Rav4. The Santa Fe won primarily on the greater "bang for our buck", the Rav4 interior felt cheap compared to the Santa Fe. The Santa Fe has more than adequate power. The ride is smooth and quiet. The interior is well thought out and comfortable. The exterior styling is attractive, but not "over- done". This vehicle is a pleasure to drive. I will have to see how reliability will be over time, but Hyundai's great warranty helps with piece of mind in that area.

The Santa Fe, similarly equipped, costs considerably less than any serious competitor. Oddly enough, most people compare this vehicle to Lexus, Honda Pilot, Acura and Toyota Highlander, all considerably more expensive vehicles. The Santa Fe, similarly equipped, is still priced lower than RAV 4 and CRV, which are both less substantial vehicles. Hyundai is a company that in a short period of time, has listened to it's customers and actually built cars people want at an affordable price. Traded a Mazda mvp van for the Santa Fe... White... Se model. For the price.. You get a lot for your money. Great style and a great smooth ride. We have 18 in tires which helps. Controls inside are easy to use and easy to find which my wife likes a lot. Our highway mileage on interstates driving to Florida is about 22 - 23 miles per gallon... Less of course around town. But we love the Santa Fe and are impressed by it. We chose the 6 cylinder for added power. This suv also has 6 air bags and a great safety rating. Would we get another one... Absolutely.

This is the first Hyundai that we've owned. We are long-term Honda and Toyota drivers. It was my 15-year-old daughter who urged me to test drive a Santa Fe. Boy, am I glad she did. I was trying to convince myself that I really wanted the new Honda CRV,but the road noise was so bad and the ride so uncomfortable, that I was not happy with it. The Rav4 wasn't impressing me either. Then I drove the Santa Fe, fully expecting that I wouldn't care for it. Well, was I wrong. I was sold the moment I drove it off the lot for the test drive. It was so smooth, so comfortable, so quiet. My dealer was great. And the best part, because my daughter urged me to try it, she got a finder's fee ... sweet.

I have had this SUV a year now and had no problems. Between city and highway, I average about 19.5 mpg which is acceptable with AWD. I thought it would get better mileage with the smaller engine (2.7). Sticker claimed 19 city and 24 highway. I like pretty much everything about this SUV except the seats are kind of bland. I live in Michigan and it goes thru snow with no trouble at all. This is my 2nd Hyundai. My Son drives my 2003 Sonata with 130K on it. That car was very reliable too.

(18000 miles on it.I have to pay for this myself, it is not covered under warranty. Dealer has been nice. This is a real DAH DUH vehicle. I have called Hyundai and could not get any satisfaction. When my dad told me he would finally buy me a new car (I had been driving a 12 year old Mazda 929), I was ecstatic. I am somewhat of a car fanatic, so I immediately began researching for which SUV I wanted. After I went to look at the Hyundai Sante Fe, I was sold. Its exterior design appeals to both old and young alike, and the interior is the nicest of any I've seen. I've had this car for several months, and I absolutely love it. Its great interior/exterior designs, comfort, performance and cool extra features make it the perfect SUV for anyone. I think it's just the right size, too--not too big, not too small.

I love the look and style of my Sante Fe, hate the poor mileage, and have had a series of different, nagging little problems (related to assembly/quality, affecting safety) that have it in the shop WAY too frequently for a new car that is supposed to rival Honda/Toyota quality! The biggest issue is that the turn signal switch stopped working reliably after about 4 months, and the dealer has not yet been able to fix the problem after 3 tries/3 months - it's very dangerous to suddenly find onself unable to signal a turn/lane change, particularly in poor weather! Also, seat belt tensioners in the second row were not installed properly, and did not work at all. Fun to drive, when it's working!

I really like it. Doing a lot of driving, find this car almost exactly what I need. Despite this is the basic model it has enough for every day extensive driving (sometimes 1000 Km a day). Extra hidden storage in the trunk is amazing! What was a nice surprise for me it ‘s a gas consumption! According to specifications vehicle with manual transmission consumes more gas then automatic. This is NOT TRUE! Manual is very economical and not just has more power, but takes LESS gas. I found the WORSE city driving (heavy traffic and ac constant use) 11L/100Km and 7.5L/100Km on Highway. Excellent on ice and snow and it is not an AWD. This the only SUV of this size and price range which is availa

We replaced a 2002 Toyota Highlander with the 2007 Santa Fe and have not regretted our choice. The new restyled Highlander would have been $8K more than the Santa Fe for the same features. The V6 powertrain on our Limited is smooth, quiet, and powerful and would make you think you are in a $50K Lexus. Overall features and quality appear to be top notch. Another family member has a 2003 Santa Fe (old body style) and has had a great experience. The only criticism is that the standard stereo (w/XM) on the Limited is somewhat weak, to get the upgraded Infiniti system you have to also get the rear entertainment system (DVD) which with no kids we don't need. Perhaps this is changed for 2008.

Purchased for wife 12 months ago, she averages 19mpg city and on highway trips we are averaging 26.5mpg (500 mile trips). I don't know why other posts are lower, maybe we got a "good" one, we bought the FWD, not the AWD. Cuts through Wisconsin snow like butter, even with just FWD. SMOOTH and QUIET, I challenge you to find a smoother riding and quieter vehicle for under 30k. Fit and finish exceeded our expectations, our neighbor owns a Lexus RX330, I feel our Santa Fe matches the Lexus across the boards. Just a great value, Hyundai has definetly stepped up their game. Other than the front seat bottoms,which need to be about two inches longer, my wife and I are happy with the car. Very quiet interior-easy to have a normal conversation at highway speeds (windows up, of course). Don't care for the "proprietary" XM radio. The logo will be there rather you activate or not. And true, the 18" wheels seem to contribute to a little harsher ride on rough roads.

It was very hard to get the Santa Fe optioned as I wanted,I waited 8 months for one as close as poss.Now that I have been driving it almost a year I can say it was worth the wait.Its a fast truck that drives very well and has a controlled ride.The interior is black leather with graphite metallic exterior..Way cool.I have every option but the 3rd row.I looked at Honda,Toyota,Infiniti,Mazda and a few of the over priced premium brands,only to find a vehicle with far to many short comings.Even at 35,000.00 it had way more than they offered...and I saved thousands.I would buy it again only this time with Black int/ Black ext.Its a great truck.

When I stated looking for a mid-size SUV, I narrowed down the choices to Rav4, Highlander, and Santa fe. I'm so stoked that I drove the Santa fe first and last, I was sold and the warranty/pricing and craftmanship was icing on the cake. I have owned 3 Santa Fe's and would buy another if they keep improving. I purchased the 2007 last May and drove it to California and back in June. The ride was fine, gas mileage was and still is 22 in city and highway. The only problem that I had was a blow out in Colorado. Try finding a 17 inch tire on a Saturday morning. I am now stuck with a top of the line Michelin that had to be replaced by the stock tire for the vehicle when I got home. I would recommend Hyundai vehicles to any one.

I am enjoying my Santa Fe. It is a cute car, fun to drive and great on the highway! Gas mileage is way off - got 20.5 mpg highway 16+/- mpg city. Better gas mileage than my 1999 Pathfinder was a priority when I was looking - don't think I found it. Otherwise, I got a lot more than I would have for the price.

I bought this vehicle in september 2006 and have over 20,000 miles on it so far. For an SUV with a V6 I can say it is pretty good on gas (overall 22 MPG). Still drives like a car and is very quiet on the road. I live in Massachusetts and my wife has never had any issues driving in the snow (we live in the second hilliest city in the US). I don't have any interior failures or defects as stated in other reports. I can honestly say that I have no complaints with this SUV and was looking at the Pilot and highlander also at the time. I wish I had purchased the 3rd row seat.

After owning 15 new domestic vehicles I purchased this DAH. Bad mistake. No interior lights when door is open. Several blind spots Poor fuel mileage not close to sticker Wiper blakes freeze in the wells ice builds up and wipers fall off road noise so loud I am not able to play radio. I called customer service several times and was given a file number and name to call. every time I called I was given a new contact person (5 times) Dealer said the reason for poor fuel mileage was that i was not using the right oil. I had them cahange the oil and could not see any change.

I'm not sure about long trips due to the seats. They're nice with the heated leather, but you can feel the short bottoms/lack of thigh support. It doesn't seem like much until you make a long drive and you go numb! Cool how the rear seats have adjustable recline, though. Nice storage section under rear cargo area. Excellent ride quietness. You can have a regular conversation in this thing w/o raising your voice! Traded in an Elantra GT, so I'm used to the blue dash lighting. The projector type headlights make for an "upscale" feel.

I bought this car based on a "promise". And now I can tell you that I am very happy I went in this direction. Wow! Drive it and you will buy it. Solid, comfortable and quiet. Plenty of "get up and go", nicely appointed interior and plenty of storage. Handling in the snow is fantistic. I had considered the CR-V and the RAV4 and after driving each one, before buying the Santa Fe, there is just no question of which is best. I was hoping for a little bit better gas mileage. After about 3000 miles I am getting 21.1 MPG. Not the worst!

Did a lot of research and comparison shopping before purchasing our Santa Fe. So far, we just love it. It handles great (have driven in snow, on ice, on highway, heavy traffic, etc.), and it is fun to drive. The small turning radius is better than any other car I have driven. I was skeptical about buying a Hyundai, but am extremely happy with my decision. Gas mileage is better than advertised. It has good power and feels very safe.

I switched from a Toyota Highlander to the SantaFe. In many respects, the two cars are very similar and so far I have no regrets. The Highlander had grown to large for me, along with price. With the SantaFe I am averaging 22-23 mpg on the road and 16-17 in the city. The only issue with 1400 miles is the console cover around the shifter continues to pop loose. Minor issue and yet to go back to the dealer

So far, we are pleased with the vehicle. The car isn't particularly powerful or sporty handling, but it drives well enough to be competitive. It is gas thirsty for such a small engine. The car does have an excellent array of safety features and the new interior design is attractive. Interior space is very good, and, at 6'4", I appreciate the headroom and center console positioning.

Owned me Santa FE Limited V6 AWD for 7 months now and love it more than when I bought it. Gets great reviews from all that see or ride in it. Its smooth quiet ride amazes me. Everything about it is smooth and quiet. Gas mileage at 20.5 for a V6 AWD is excellant as far as I'm concerned. One trip thru upstate New York got me 24mpg with cruise at 74. Yes leather seats could be a bit longer, softer, and lower, but with every car out there no matter the price there has to be trade offs. Quality and workmanship appear at this time to be above average, especially compared to my Ford Escape traded in. Did compare the Santa Fe to Nisson Murano, Mazada CX7 & CX9, Ford Edge Sel Plus.

Bought the Santa Fe in May just before my wedding, and it has been such a great car! Cargo room is huge without having a giant vehicle, it's very comfortable, drives like a car, and feels very safe on the highway. Get great gas mileage, even with mostly city miles. Road trips get over 300 miles per tank. Compared to other SUVs with the same features and safety, it was so much more affordable. I'd buy it again!

Santa Fe has aggressively kept up with the competition. This is my third Santa Fe, and while I admired the original version (even the quirky styling), there is no question but that the new version is a significant improvement. I am amazed at how well- thought out it is, in general, through the superb use of materials to small details, such as the slight driver’s side tilt to the center console stack. Look and “tactile” feel (other than a few too many hard surfaces) is very up-scale; I even find the firm seats “just right.” Power is ample and smooth, and the base stereo works well. Bravo Hyundai!

I researched hours on end looking for the right vehicle for my family. I was skeptical of Hyundai and it's history. After reading all the reviews I made my purchase. So far am happy. Gas mileage is not that great but I knew that going in. There are just a few changes that I would make on the Sante Fe are that there is no button to push to open the rear door, my infant seat fits very tight, sitting right up against the front seats. Other then that I am really enjoying it.

We traded in an ML320 and were kinda concerned with what the differences might be. After fewer than 1k miles we have no complaints at all. The style, interior comfort, ride/performance, etc. are great. Did a lot of research prior to purchase and took test drives of Honda and Toyota. Both were nice but couldn't compare with the Santa Fe. Dealership folks were super to work with too. Haven't had much of an opportunity to judge the mileage but anticipate it will be considerably better than the M- B.

We bought our AWD Santa Fe Ltd. in June, 2007. We looked at Mistubishis, Hondas and Toyotas as comparison mid sized suv's. No comparison. When looking we didn't think we needed the third row seats. But, we have used them several times. They come in handy. They disappear when not used. Large, flat storage area available for Costco trips when the back seats are down. This vehicle is very quiet. Hard to hear the engine running. Many user friendly features. Very well finished, attractive interior. Amazing price for what you get. Extra long warranty means peace of mind. After six months and 5,000 miles nothing has gone wrong. Everything works fine. Highly recommend this vehicle.

Bought my Limited after testing Honda CRv, Toyota Rav 4,Camry, Infiniti QX, Lexus 350 as it had the best ride, safety features, standard accessories and design at much less than all the others. I was very impressed how quiet and smooth it is. Poor gas mileage though, nowhere near as stated. Had some initial quality oroblems with rear seat cupholder not staying closed (replaced) rear seat leather edge won't stay attached,then a failure in the brake switch (no brake lights) then a failure in the bolt of the rear pass.side control arm, which almost caused a wreck (replaced) and a squeaky suspension. Dealer refused to replace the vehicle.Have lost trust in my vehicle's build quaity.

Before almost buying 1yr old used Nissan Murano, i made sure i tested a few others - namely the RAV4, Compass, and Santa Fe (SF). I prefer new, but i also loved the styling and handling of the Murano - so i was torn. The SF competed in almost every way. I was surprised it drove as responsively as the Nissan and had lots of features you'd expect in a more expensive car, . Even my Highlander-driving father was impressed. 8 months later it's still been a good choice.

It depends on ones perception on what you want in a suv This is not a touring car as built. It;s more a commuter or running around car. Great design, well built, solid. smooth transmission and engine, plenty of pop on the high end. Lacks power on the low end, mainly because of gearing. Well laid out controls. Hyundai tryed to think of everthing possible to make this a good suv. It falls short in these areas. center coucil to high to short.causes arm fatigue and elbow soreness. arm rests not padded enough. front buckets to stiff. suspension to stiff and has a truck like ride on uneven pavement. some body roll on corners.good on highway but seems to float a bit.needs more floor sound proofing.

I like the feel when you get in the vehicle and how quiet it is. When you start the vehicle it's extremely quiet. I test drove the vehicle for 2 hours after I figured they ( the dealer ) knew I was serious about making a purchase. I took every kind of road in the area and it was smooth. The excelleration was exceptional, smooth, with no hesitation of problems with the trans. The stero has something to be improved upon I can only load 1 CD at a time. But the sound is just OK.

I bought this car and two days later it needed an alignment. Two weeks later the drive shaft had a defective washers. About a 6 weeks later the engine mount broke. Not to mention the window molding falling off. And now it makes a noise everytime I pull into my driveway, I was told it was the ABS and that it just makes that noise. Save yourself time and money, shop for a different vehicle.

Like a lot of people wrote, this is my first Hyundai. I had a 04 CRV w/ 91K miles & wanted something a little bigger w/ a V-6 for towing. I bought this Santa Fe used for $19,800 w/ 7500 miles & had them add nice leather seat and door covers for $900. Got $9000 trade for my CRV which also needed $1500 put into it so this was a deal I couldn't pass on. I drive 2/3 high & 1/3 city. Averaged 26 mpg w/ my CRV & so far I'm getting 23 avearge with the SF & 3.3L engine. I drive pretty conservative, use the cruise & avoid hard braking & starts. A friend's wife has the same CRV & she only averaged 20 mpg because she had terrible driving habits. What a quiet smooth drive too!!!

When I first bought my Santa Fe, I was more than excited. I loved the car, had a great buying experience. 10 months later, I am in arbitration with Hyundai! The transmission slips, the 02 sensors have gone out twice, get 50 miles out of a 1/2 tank of gas, all fuses and sensors had to be replaced, and more. The car has been in the shop for almost 45 days since purchase. Don't let the great warranty fool you, I have had nothing but problems with the company and dealers I have used. If the BBB decides Hyundai does not have to buy back, I will fight it to the end. Waste of my hard earned money!

This is the second Santa Fe I have owned. I loved the 1st (2001) and I love this one even more. I still own my 1st and it has 174,000 miles on it and few repairs. This 2007 model is fun to drive, comfortable, stylish and dependable. I have my oil changed at the dealership because they are comparable in price, but their service and customer service is the best I've ever encountered. I won't be surprised if my next car is a Santa Fe also.

I've owned this vehicle for 1 month and I love it. I'm a commuter and I have almost 3000 miles on it already. It's the most comfortable vehicle I've owned. Being the Limited it has Leather, Power heated seats. I also have the touring (3rd seat) and Premium (sunroof) package. Love having the sunroof. I have not yet used the third seats. I have 2 kids ages 10 and 7 and they fit fine in the third seats whenever we will need them for there friends. This vehicle will be a fine vehicle for a family with 2 kids on long distance trip. Yay, finally something cooler than the minivans I've been driving for years!

I've been driving the car for 3 weeks, and was concerned about the Hyundai name. This car is great to drive and the fit and finish are excellent. I am averaging about 22 miles per gallon, which isn't too bad for the 3.3L V6. I traded a VW Jetta for the Hyundai, and haven't been disappointed. The back leg room is great for teens, and they especially love the blue dash lights.

I love my Santa Fe! I owned a 2007 Toyota RAV 4 for a month and traded it in for this fantastic vehicle. I don't recommend doing that, though. Lost some money. Lots actually. Toyota more expensive, Santa Fe a better value.Test drove Honda CRV, Saturn Vue, Subaru Forester and Outback. Forget the rest and go right for the Santa Fe. It is built solidly, quiet, great ride. Radio has a great sound. I feel like I'm in a more expensive car. Found headrest uncomfortable, but just turned it around.
