That front seats are stiff, not for large people. That while spunky, it is not a race car. My mileage has always been great when I do not go by car door inflation, but rather by the tires. I get 24 in city average, and 30 on highway. KOREAN tires wore fast, I replaced with Michelin Harmony and now General Altimax........wonderful ride. Does have some road noise but I always play radio. Great handling in all weather. No major repairs of late, just replaced radiator hose and had to use double clamp to hold as hose is thicker than original. Maintain oil and filter and transmission as dictated for city. Takes semi synthetic oil. I replace all filters myself, further savings. Dealer replaced engine bushings, worn, which he noticed, and was under warranty. Has never let me down, runs smoothly still in 2016. Bought new with 8 miles on it. Cargo hold is excellent, seats down, holds garden and groceries and building materials well. My back has not hurt at all since buying this, as you sit higher than in a car and at better angle. Recommend it highly.

Great, Dependable, plan to keep it.

I bought this car new in 2006. I am retired so the vehicle only has 26,000 on it. I change the oil and required maintenance done twice a year due to the low mileage driven. The car has been very dependable and the only major costs I have had was replacing the battery in the past year and now was told it was time to replace the tires (26,000). The V-6 is no barn burner but gets the job done. I would recommend this car to anyone but would explain that I have only driven it 26,000 in ten years. Gas mileage is and never has been great. I would say 16-17 in town and maybe 25-27 on highway. It has never seen 20 and 30 as advertised or rated.

Brakes went out under warranty. But by 58000 miles they were out again. ESC and ABS lights and system recall taken care of and four years later same problem so we had to pay over $600 for a new brake light switch and a new G-force sensor. They had to pull the entire dashboard out to get to the G-Force sensor. Over $2000 for fluids change and belts and a bad water pump. Lower control arms went a few years ago ... that was a real treat replacing those myself. Battery went under warranty. Despite wheel balance and alignment the car vibrates under normal driving conditions. Underside would have rusted through had I not been keeping up with the rust. Drive timing rings are ready to crack.

I bought my Tuscan used with 62000 miles, no problems on it. I also got a car fax on the history of this vehicle. The previous owner only had a brake caliper replaced. I drive quite a bit, this vehicle has never let me down. It now has 87000 miles and purrs like a kitten. I haul a good bit in the cargo area with the back seats folded down, plenty of power. I read some complaints about milage and engine power, this one is a power wagon which runs great. Perhaps it's the 6 cylinder vs the 4 banger, but I love this vehicle and would by another Hyundai hands down, but not until this one dies. Plenty of leg room, very dependable!!

I leased this car then bought it at the end of the lease. I have 90,000 miles on it and it has been trouble free. I did have to have the radio replaced but it was under warranty. I get 23.8 miles to a gallon. The car is fun to drive, VERY practical, and is loaded with features. We have driven this car hard and often. It has been from coast-to-coast and back. I intend to keep it until it dies. It is comfortable, but I DO wish it had another 4-5 inches of legroom in front. We are ALL tall in my family. I recently had the car detailed by my dealership and it looks brand new. I change the oil, fluids....etc..as needed. If you can find one of these cars and it has been cared for, buy it!

My family bought a new 2006 Hyundai Tucson GLS 2.7L 4 speed Automatic in the fall of 2006. We have had it maintained every time at or before 3000 miles or 3 months (It has under 50,000 miles as of now, fall of 2011). When it was 3 years and approx. 30,000 it started having significant problems with the 4WD, transmission, and power steering. Now it has been sitting at the dealer for a month (NO JOKE!) for a ***REBUILT*** transmission to be put in and rear struts that recently started leaking. So far the dealer has not done anything to the car. We will never buy Hyundai again. RAV4 is the replacement SUV!

I have only had this little thing for a few weeks now but so far I love it. It handles very well on the road and the look is just what I have been looking for, its the right size for me. Only two complaints about it....not enough leg room for the driver and upfront passengers and the gas mileage. Was really hoping for a good MPG but I guess we cant have everything in life to go our way. It is used and I suspect that I will have some small issues coming around but all in all so far im very very happy.

I had a Stellar in the '80's and I thought that was the best car I ever had. I was wrong. The Tuscon is now my favorite. I bought it new and have never looked back. I now have over 240,000 km on it and I have never had any problems. Sure I have had to have new brakes and tires put on it but don't you have to eventually on any vehicle? I drive a lot, especially on the highway and I always feel safe and secure in this car. I have moved three times and have loaded more things into it than you would believe. I also have two big dogs and they have never complained about the lack of room. The body and interior still look like new. Its is a truely great vehicle!

Purchased with 6000 mi on it as a dealership demo. Spongy brakes from day one, underpowered V6 and poor gas mileage. 3 recalls so far. Starter cable came loose on a Saturday night and the vehicle would not start after work, small issue but very inconvenient. This car is a cheap no frills cross over that is not fun to drive, but certainly serves its purpose. I can load tons of stuff in the cargo area with the back seats folded flat. If practicality is what you are looking for the Tucson is a good purchase.

Bought it at the end of the '06 model year and loved it from day one. It's now the end of '10 and it hasn't hiccuped once. Still performs like the first day. Very powerful and quick V-6. The mileage reflects the extra horses, but the performance is stellar. The only issue with the '06 is the ESC computer and braking when it's in the manual shift position. It will go into ABS mode even when panic braking on perfectly dry ground and will scare the carp out of you. In standard drive mode it works perfect. All in all it's great, though and my next one will be another Hyundai.

Bought used, previous rental car. Haven't ever had a problem with it. It has always been super reliable. We over paid at the dealer, but it was our first "new car". We had no idea of what we were doing. It fits our family of four perfectly. But our kids are getting bigger,so we will be looking for something bigger now. Mini Van.

I was looking at cargo space when I bought it new. The 2.0 L 4cyl 4WD Man. Transmission was not exactly what I wanted at first. The vehicle was really underpowered when new. I changed the oil with full synthetic & changed the air filter waiting for some change in power. At 25k miles, the engine started to change for the better. It loosened up and had enough power to get on the freeway and pull a trailer. My friends & I are impressed. I really enjoy driving it now and use it daily. The Dealer Shop has been good at checking it out and supplying parts. I like to work on it myself changing the oil & perform light maintenance checks. Friends with other SUVs like mine for its size and performance.

The Hyundai Tuscon GLS has been ideal for our family. It carries my family of four comfortably on short trips. It is an ideal size for maneuvering into parking spots at work. It has a roomy back end for groceries and such. We have had issues with the battery, headlights, air conditioning, and tires as mentioned in previous reviews. But with the warranty and the wonderful service at the Hyundai dealership, I had it all fixed quickly and without too much trouble and $$ for me. The gas mileage isn't the best @ 17-19 MPG. I love the 4WD, it isn't going to get me out of 3ft of snow, but it has helped me in snow <8 inches. It is a basic SUV, not a luxury vehicle, and it gets the job done.

This is the biggest piece of junk I have ever bought. I am now going on my 4th fuel pump. The 1st one left me stranded at only 2 weeks old. The last one is only 5 months old and under warranty but now they are telling me it's my fault that the fuel pump went out because I got bad gas. so now they want to fix it for 800.00 and no warranty. I will never buy another vehicle from these rude people and they don't stand behind any warranty they give you not to mention I had to replace my tires at 25000 miles, and my arm rest broke. I will tell anyone who listens not to buy a Hynundi it's a piece of JUNK!!

Finally a good car.

Liked it from the second I sat in it at the dealership. My first longish trip was to Phoenix in June of 2006 (very hot) mileage averaged 28.8 mpg. starts every time plenty of acceleration (I live in central valley of California). I use the car for everything, totally versatile. Last longish trip was to Reno June of 2009, mileage averaged again 28.8. Note to all owners, Change oil regularly, make sure you change the air cleaner at or before the listed time, keep tires up, and be sure your oldest son is a working auto mechanic. prev.cars were Nash, Pontiac, Chevy, Toyota,Nissan X- 2,and a ,46 Bug in Europe. This one is the best.

I've had my Tucson for over 2 years, I bought it with 13K miles on it, only 1 year old. Within the first 3 months of ownership, it had to go into the shop, as the 4WD was kicking into gear while shifting from 1st to 2nd gear. The dealership had for a day, and said they "fixed it", well not so much. It's been in the shop to fix the same issue 4 additional times. Whether it's the dealership or the car, I'm fed up! Also, this car has no power, NONE! Though I knew it was a 4 Cyl and therefore low power, this car is no power at all. It's embarrassing to drive this thing. This awful vehicle makes me miss my old Dodge Neon, and that to me is sad! My husband has a VW, and there is just no comparison!

Bought the GLS 6 cyl new from dealer. Very reliable for the first three years I owned it. Good driver's visibility. Not exciting to drive, and not very fuel efficient (for 3500 lbs). Puny V6 engine. Useless rear trunk cover. Tire pressure light too sensitive. Ride was a little smoother carrying a full load vs. traveling light.

I purchased my Tucson back in May 05. Have had several problems once i hit the 30k mile mark. The dealership is awful when it comes to repairs. This car is built very poorly. i have a small "swipe dent" below the door frame and to replace it you wold have to take the whole side panneling off and would cost around $4,000! oh, and parts! NOT CHEAP! just to have my bumper replaced after a small fender bender was about $1500compared to other cars at now more than $800 for bumper. the interior is not roomy or comfortable. unusual stuff has been breaking like crazy (armrest panel, shifter, steering wheel) like others are saying i would say it is very noisy and gas mpg is awful!don't buy a hyaundai!

I purchased this vehicle used. With only 25k miles on it, I still have 2 years factory warranty on it. Pretty sweet! It drives great, has nice standard equipment, comfortable, and spacious enough for a family of 4 and a dog. After reading reviews of this car getting around 16 mpg, I was worried about that. But, I seem to be averaging 21 and am thrilled. It is a cute little SUV and hopefully it will last me for many years to come.

Bought 06 Tuscon for daughter's 1st vehicle. Was captured by the amount of standard safety features packed into vehicle along with crash ratings for the price. Build quality was good, sound system good, original tires did not last, gas mileage not the greatest but she is a heavy vehicle so what do you expect. We found 4 cylinder unimpressive and went with the 6. Ride was good, plenty of space for my college bound daughter and she felt good in it. Last Saturday evening boyfriend was driving and he fell asleep at wheel with my daughter sleeping next to him. They hit a concrete wall at 35 MPH. Front end of vehicle demolished and they essentially walked away from a potentially lethal crash.

I am disappointed in the quality of the tires on this vehicle and live and learn, I will look into this the next time I buy a car. So buyer be ware! I have brought four different made of Hyundai vehicles since 2000. The last one is a Tucson which gives me the most headache. After it has been used for 16 months, the battery suddenly drained out and couldn't recharge after stayed in garage for 5 days. No interior nor exterior light were turned on. It happened in Jan, May and Sept 2009. I informed Hyundai USA customer service in May and they promised to "do something" if it happened again. Then, when the issue resurfaced in Sept, I called them. They either gave me the run around or simply not return my calls even I have case number. I wrote them email and no reply. What a service! It will be my last Hyundai vehicle(period).

I bought the Tucson because of Hyundai's warranty. I bought the 4-cylinder because I hoped it would save on gas. I was wrong...it gets HORRIBLE mileage. I get 16-19 MPG consistently...which is lousy and not what was advertised. It has 34000 on it now and is falling apart. I take very good care of my vehicles, but it doesn't seem to make a difference with this one. I would not buy a Hyundai again.

I purchased my 2006 Tucson new. I was expecting a great vehicle. Instead I got a vehicle with a lot of problems. The rotors warped at 300 miles and again at 14,500. I have had to have the radio replaced because it drained my battery on two occasions and left me with a dead car. The moonroof whistles and they cannot correct it. That is why they give you a deflector with the vehicle because it is a design flaw. The interior marks extremely easily and if very hard to clean when marked. The best I can get on gas mileage if 21.7 even though it was rated 19 and 24. I would never buy another Hyundai and cannot wait to get rid of the vehicle. The alarm system makes no sense.

I bought this as my parents had a Hyundai Santa Fe. It seemed more economical and sporty and it was my 1st SUV. Reliability has been great and very few services (non-standard) necessary. The car is only 2 years old and the armrest has broken due to the cold. Unfortunately the cost is over $300 to replace it. The horn definitely needed to be upgraded. And finally, who still listens to cassette's anymore?

Actually I really like this SUV, I wanted a manual and something that was not going to kill my budget. So far I am getting about 23-27 MPG and I can not complaine about much on it. I did replace the factory stero so I could plug in my IPod. But it handles well and it rides nice w/ cruse on the highway, even over the big hills. The front seat is not the beast fit for me, I am 6'3 and over 300lbs, but I mostly notice it on long trips.

I really love this vehicle. I have owned most different types of cars by many different manufacturers and I also had a small Hyundai when they first came out. This is by far the best one yet. I stay in the $20,000 and less category so this vehicle is compared to others in that group. I didn't realize how much I would brag about my car. I even test drove the larger Santa Fe, prior to committing to the Tucson. It had more cargo room, but less driver/passenger space. I am impressed with the styling and performance. I honestly can not say enough great things about this vehicle! The price is great, the performance is very good and you will love the safety rating!

This is my first SUV after owning strictly sports cars. I love the ability to shop and fit many items, including large inside without too much effort. Nice design. I looked at several SUV's prior to this purchase, my decision was based on the design, bank for the buck and the warranty. The mileage is not that great, it has improved. Only getting about 21-22 MPG. Having owned it for just one year, barring any future problems, I would buy another Hyundai.

I purchased my Tuscon in November of 2005 and absolutely love it! I have always wanted an SUV and this fit my budget and the safety ratings sealed the deal. It was wonderful in the snow and ice this past winter and has driven beautifully on the beach this summer. I love the fold flat back seats and my kids like the fact that the back seats recline back a bit. I do wish it had better gas milage. It really only gets driven around town and the mileage is up to 17.5. Also, I find the center arm rest great for storage, my not so much for resting my arm! Needs to be higher and more forward. I would buy another SUV from Hyundai anytime :)

Great small SUV. GREAT gas millage for an SUV. i do 50/50 freeway and city and my overall MPG is 20. i get 22-25 on the highway depending on my speed. around 27 if i drive 55mph, but couldnt continue very long at that slow speed. GREAT PRICE i got mine for $16,500 with 10,000 miles on it. it kbb at 21,500 privet party when i got it. now its at 17,500 after a few months. so i know theres no way im going to get my money back if i decide to sell so most likely i am keeping it until it dies. Great car for the price, i drive alot and it has been very trust worthy. lots of room for long trips, and 4wd is nice to have in the snow.

this poor vehicle has been in the shop so much. i experienced it dead in my driveway 3x in my first year, problems with the tire pressure indicator light, replacement of a stereo which was draining the battery (4 trips to diagnose and replace), and air conditioning which would not blow out the top vents. after a year, i am trading, or lemon lawing it.

This is one of the nicest suv's I have had to date. I has everthing you really need on it, the ride is smooth and quiet, with plenty of power. The Gas mileage was not real good at first, but changed it to amsoil 0w-20 and changed the transmission fluid over to amsoil ATF and the gas mileage went up. I was getting 18 and 22, now get 21 city and 28 Hwy. Which made a big difference.

I have had my tucson for a year now and have just over 14000 miles, and have had no problems once so ever, runs flawlessly. I Have noticed that my gas mileage has improved once hitting the 10000 mile mark, now getting a constant 20 mpg in city and 25-26 on hwy. I have made several moderate length trips to family in another state and felt comfortable the whole way, has no trouble keeping up with traffic 80-90 mph. Have had no problems keeping the a/c going with the extreme heat of 100+, I am very pleased with this car. Can fit in rear seat with front seats all the way back.

I have to admit, the Tuscon was my 2nd choice. I wanted a Rav4 Limited, but the Toyota dealer lost the sale. The Tuscon has actually turned out to be better in all aspects, except fuel efficiency. It's comfortable, sure-footed in all terrain/weather, and a pleasure to drive. The only things I could wish were better are the gas mileage - I'm averaging 17.5 in town and about 21 on highway trips - and the durability of the 'plastic' interior surfaces. I traded a 10 year old Mazda 626 for this and even after all that time, you really couldn't see a lot of surface mars on the interior/trunk plastics. It seems the Tuscon's scratch easily. That said, I really do like my little black beauty!

Have owned it for 15 months now and it has proven reliable, economic, and comfortable. I get 20 miles in the city and 26 hwy. It responds well to curves, acceleration, driving in the rain and wind, no sways. View out the windows is excellent with one flaw, the driver windshield/dashboard frame width along with wide mirror factor, which you have to move head several times to make sure you are not missing a car or pedestrian! VG heating and cooling, and door compartments and dash cubbies and armrest cubbies prevent clutter well. Nice dash lighting at night. Tiltable steering wheel and ease of locking in. Lights in cargo, passenger, even door side lights. Wonderful suv for the price and warranty

Bought in JAN 07. Love it!! A must see if your in the market for an SUV. Top rating of 2006 for small SUVs and excellent crash rating by Gov. test standards. 2.7 Liter engine may seem small compared to others, but don't be fooled! This baby has a lot of spit fire, but at the same time is economical. No problems getting up to 80-90 mph on highway without engine strain and quickly. City milege is about 20MPG.

To be quite honest, I didn't want it. My eyes were on the Santa Fe. However, after a test drive, I was hooked. The ride was smooth and the handling suprised me. Not to mention though the interior is quite basic, the seats are extremely comfortable and the inside is put together quite well (durable). If finances are your main concern, the Tucson by far is the best bang for your buck! No other SUV at similar pricing is loaded with all the safety features the Tucson has and is backed by the #1 warranty in America! If I haven't sold you on it, take a drive for yourself.

After lengthy research I finally settled on a beautiful navy blue 06 Hyundai Tucson V6 4WD with sunroof package. I love it! I live at the top of a pretty steep hill which has always been something of a winter challenge for me in the past. Not any more. The Tucson is heavy enough and peppy enough to get me home every time without fail. It handles wonderfully on ski trips and is super easy to get our gear in and out with the quick release rear seats that fold to a flat deck. It's been on a road trip to AZ and zoomed right on through the mountain passes. Its still pretty new so I'm hoing that it becomes less thirsty with a little more break in time.

Bought my tucson in june of 2006 with careful consideration, I love this car, it has great handling, manuervabilty and easy to drive. I like the rear seats fold flat for hauling things, and the rear window opens as well as the door. the tucson has five star crash test for the front as well as the sides. although the tucson can use little bit more horse power, I am quite happy with the performance after 10 thousand miles. I am getting 19.5-20.5 mpg in town and 23-24 mpg on highway going 80 mph+. I also like the mirrors that fold both ways to prevent someone walking by and breaking them.

A very fun suv to drive. Short lenght took some getting use to. 6 inches longer would be perfect, but would it still be a compact or midsize. Really haven't took a road trip to check mpg but city has been very disapointing at only 16/17 mpg?? Shifting sometimes feels lazy and you get the feeling it's guzzing gas? Right arm rest could be designed 4/6 inches longer even in the upper position. Overall this is an excellent value for the money. Jury is still out if I should have paid the extra cash and bought the Honda or the Rava. My auto mechanic for past 25 yrs. suggested the Santa Fe or Tucson since he never gets them in his shop.

Bought my tucson in oct 2006. I checked reports. Wasn t happy after I bought it. I get 19 mpg. in town 17hgy. Seems like thats backward. After only 2000 miles I have had 11 tires replaced. Second day they turned the front roters they were warped. Service said tires were bad . The tucson shakes, wobbles at low speeds. Stering wheel vibrates bad. Service says nature of this to happen. I think it has to big of tires on it. Has 235/16/60. tire to wide.Service tech. said only way to change that is to drive it a while and trade it off. I think i will take his advice. I depended on J D Powers ranking when I bought my tucson. I was let down I am 50 years old. I buy new every 2-3 years . NOT HYUNAI.

Power windows, locks, keyless entry,CD Player, Very good 6 speaker sound system, rear doors and back glass dark tinted from factory. Battery goes dead after 3 days not running the vehicle. Dealer has replaced the battery with no positive results. Problem still exists. Inquiries about solutions to the problem have fell on dead ears. No response from Jenkins or Hyundai USA. Hyundai acts like the problem doesn't exist.. This is a great budget line SUV that is well designed and tastefully appointed. My other car is a BMW and while this is not an X3 it is a really nice vehicle for the price. Traction control, side impact and head curtain airbags, tiptronic transmission, seats that fold flat, great towing capacity.... The list goes on and on. I only wish the gas mileage were better. I consistently average 21mpg in a 70/30 mix of highway / city driving, and I avoid rapid accelleration.

I've only had this SUV a few months but I find that it is the perfect fit for me. I wanted something with more cargo room than my previous car but didn't want to be driving a ship. The Tucson fits the bill. It has a ton of cargo room when needed as all of the seats except for the driver's fold completely flat. This is done easily, too. It handles well and has a very tight turning radius. The sound system is excellent and the back seat is comfortable.

I had previous cars and this one beats them all. I mainly purchased this vehicle for safety reasons (air bags) and the warranty coverage. To top it off Hyundai recalls are almost nil and none for Tucsons. I used to believe in American cars but my last one had five recalls in two years and they were all safety related (Ford)! And one prior also had multiple recalls (Pontiac). I just got tired of going back to the dealer and waste my time on things that were supposed to be done right the first time. Japanese recalls are on the rise. Hyundai quality has really improved and since money is tight these days, I can't afford to spend it frivilously. It is the best bang for the buck.

Overrall i like the 2006 hyundai. my biggest cry is that the leather seat covering with just normal wear already has noticeable blemishes, the gas mileage remains consistant at aorund 21 miles/gal. i can never seem to reach that estimated 26miles/gal. promised to me,i can feel the slight roll motion navigating a curve under what wolud not normally be an isuue in most suv's. however,i like the comfort level and the relativley smooth ride of the vechicle...but if i had it do do again, i would probably choose something different.

I already reviewed (see below) right after purchase; here's my 15,000 mile update: Fuel economy is all the way up to 20.8 mpg with the 4WD V6. Pleasantly surprised with this, because I drive up and over a 9,000 foot mountain 2x a day and didn't expect the gas mileage to be this high after reading all the reviews. I've had zero problems with the vehicle, haven't had to go to the dealership for anything. Would still definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a safe (5-star crash ratings front & side), inexpensive 4WD with a great warranty. And it's not killing me at the pump, either. From a guy who spends 2 hours commuting every day in the worst conditions imaginable: 2 thumbs up.

I had my heart set on a new 07 Honda CRV and liked the way it drove and looked but I simply could not justify paying $7000 more for the Honda with less accessories and warranty. While I feel that the Hyundai has a less sophisticated drive train than the Honda, in all other respects it meets or exceeds Honda quality. On the issue of MPG I have seen reviews where the owners were disappointed but I did a first check fill up and combined city/hgwy yielded 23.9 MPG which I feel is very acceptable for an SUV with a V6.

Hyundai has attempted to do what honda and toyota have done for years with the RAV4 and CR-v: which is sell great "crossovers" to an ever growing market. we've had our Tucson for over a year and are still enamoured with it. The only reason we would get rid of it is to move up to the Santa Fe to accomodate our growing family. As other have mentioned, price, standard features, and build and ride quiality are the main reasons to by this car. All Toyota/Honda give you is 20 more HP in the engine at a cost of thousands. We have the 4 cyl. and it is perfect for what we need: mostly city driving. We did take it from home - Toronto- to Cape Cod and with the car packed got 25 mpg.

I take very good care of my vechile and the ashtray doesnt stay closed(2nd time i've had the problem, sunglass holder doesnt close(1st time problem). The fuel system is not right, it leaks gas out of the evap valve everytime i fill it, it has gone back to hyundai 6 times for the problem and everytime it is something different, they claim it is fixed. I go to fill it and it still does the same thing. Overall its an ok mini-suv but I am not sure with the problems hyundai has given me, if i will ever buy another one.

This is a fun, fun car to drive, but no matter how conservative I am, if I am driving on the highway at or just below the speed limit, this vehicle has not averaged more than 20.8 mpg. This is extremely disapointing. It was one of the reasons I went with this model. The Tucson was rated at 20 city and 26 hwy - I really thought I could average at least 22 mpg - it makes me wonder what else was misrepresented...

I love my little buggy! It is fun to scoot around town. It has plenty of muscle, and is excellent in traffic as well as parking in tight spaces. The sound system is great and the evironmental controls are great in the Texas Heat. It is a quiet smoothe ride. In fact, I note no difference in the ride between this and my dad's Mercedes SUV. I just wish it wasn't so greedy with fuel. Otherwise it is cute, fun and reliable

I love this vehicle! It reminds me of the way American made cars were before the 1970's. The body and suspension are solid. Unlike an American made auto, I can lean against my Tucson without fear of denting the side or fender! This is not recycled a recycled coke or beer can vehicle! As for the ride, reminds me of a 1963 Caddy. Quick wheel response, comfortable seats, smooth ride. For the money the Hyundai Tucson is an exceptional value. And the standard safety features beats anything produced in America! The down side is that if Hyundai continues producing this quality vehicle they will no doubt sell less with each passing year. I look forward to driving my Tucson for many years to come.

Best small SUV value out there (besides the Kia Sportage, but Kia's still seem to lag in quality). Great styling, both inside and out, very roomy, standard ESC/ABS/TC, well laid out controls.

I love the Tuscon. It's versatile, it fits all of my needs for around town and trips. Plenty of room to add on: roof rack, trailer hitch, etc. My only complaint is that not once have we gotten the advertised mileage. We mostly use it in the city, but our mileage hasn't been above 15 mpg, far enough below the advertised 19mpg that we were promised. All in all, not a bad car for your buck. Far more features for less than the competetor's price.

I Love My Tuscon, it is the best SUV. I don't even think of it as an SUV, it just rides so nice and smooth, handles like a car, and is so comfortable. I didn't think I would like it, but was I wrong! I LOVE THIS CAR/SUV. It's fun to drive, its performance is just great. Its a well built vehicle. With being a Hyundai, it is a reliable car/suv. It does very well on gas. We drove to Florida and back and it averaged 28mpg. My husband was very impressed, but he still likes his Sonata. This will be my last car for a while and I am very happy that I bought a Tuscon. I Love My Tuscon!!!!

Fun to drive, especially with shiftronics. I also love the 4 wheel drive lock mode I can use in slippery places instead of waiting for the "real-time" mode that many other SUVs use to kick in. Great looking vehicle, always get compliments wherever I go. Test drove CR-V among others and this is the best looking, best performing out of em all with many many features not to mention a 100000 mile warranty. E.g. front passenger seat that automatically turns off the air-bag if the passenger is less than 100lb, air bags in the back for side impacts, heated wipers..and so forth.

We traded in our 4 year old Jeep Liberty Sport for this Hyundai Tucson to save on gas and get into a newer vehicle. Hyundai makes great, sporty cars and SUVs. If we have one complaint, it would be that they use TAPE, yes that's right, TAPE on their window trims. So, don't park near anyone or a simple scuff from the door of another vehicle can start the tape coming off and leave a very unsightly window trim for you to have to fix (since they don't cover it under warrantee. The good news is that it will only cost you $100 each time you need to get the TAPE fixed because they need to redo the entire tape around the window trim each time!

I was weary about leaving the Honda family (5 cars bought) and trading in my Firebird, but now that I'm a daddy twice over (not at once that God!), it's time to think 'kids'. I bought the Tucson (a 4-cylinder, FWD) thinking how can this compare to Honda's reputation...We'll, with all the little great things about the interior for me and the kids, the gas mileage and air bags (one big interior balloon!), it was a no-brainer. The CRV is nice, but boxey and over- priced. Toyota, never liked. Anything American-made, lousy junk (sorry USA). Granted it's not my Firebird, but the features, warranty, price, build, and SAFETY for my kids is worth every penny. It also looks nicer than the Sante Fe!

I did extensive research before I bought the tucson and I felt that the tucson gave me all the options I wanted and still was at the price I wanted, $1000's less than honda and toyota, I am real happy with my decsion to buy a tucson. Just completed a round trip of 850 miles and no problems a of any kind, averaged 22 miles per gallon, even though sticker says 26 for the highway but the mpg will slowly improve as the car ages. I would definately recommend this vehicle for anyone that is searching for a small but spacious suv for the family.

I purchased the AWD Tuscon in January 06, just in time for a huge New England blizzard. The Tuscon performed magnificantly, and has continued to be a great vehicle. It's a lot of vehicle for the sticker price, loaded with all the options except leather seats. I love how it looks, it handles like a car and has enough quickness to get out of any situations. It's a solid buy, great value and you can't beat the 10 year 100,000 mile warranty.

I bought my car four months ago. It is a car exactly I wanted, a mainly city SUV that can be also be used to carry my ski equipment in snowy Canadian winter and camping bags in muddy summer. My Tucson is a quiet, responsive, reliable, spacious, and comfortable car that has almost all I need. It comes with 4WD, V6, stability control, shiftronic, front/side/roof air bags, leather seats, moon roof, mp3 player, roof racks, fog lights, alloy wheels, and much more. For a compact SUV, you cannot expect more. It does not just have COMPARABLE quality. Its build quality can beat many other cars carrying more recognized bands. I will not hesitate to recommend it to anyone.

the SUV does not even get close to the est. milage. It would be better if they changed the gear ratios or make it a 4 speed trans. Other then that it is fun to drive. I had a 4cyl. and traded up to the 6 after a road trip. The 4 gets better milage but does not go up hill and was very loud when going 65mph. I purchased because of safety features and the warrenty. I bought the Tuscon over a Honda CRV because it was almost $3000 less and it provided a smoother ride and was conquerly equipped. The seats collapse all the way down whereas in the Honda they remained bend up slightly when folded down. My only disappointment is the fuel consumption, rounding out at 24mpg and the low HP at 173. These are two big sacrifices to make in buying the six cylinder. Otherwise the vehicle is quite nice.

After extensive research & lots of hoofing it on foot in car lots, & many test drives the Tucson rose to the top like cream. The Honda CR-V is ugly & uncomfortable, the RAV-4 was *way* overpriced & lacked features we wanted & the Toyota dealers were arrogant beyond belief. As soon as we drove the Tucson, it was obvious. Super quality build, all the features one could ever need (Even in the bottom of the line GL trim we purchased), & most importantly, safety features beyond compare. Throw in the warranty & it is a no brainier. I find it hard to believe anyone would buy an RAV-4, which is overpriced to start then the dealer wants list price. Yeah right, I'll take my Hyundai thank you.

We bought a five speed Tuscon for it's price and fuel economy. We love it. It is so much fun to drive and gets so much better fuel economy than the last three automatic transmission Ford Escapes I have had. I love the side view mirror defrost feature and the cargo area liner; it's great to just lift up and dirt falls off versus having to vac carpet every time you purchase plants for your garden and bring them home. It's so easy to keep clean and has lots of wonderful little features that you wouldn't expect for the price!

I got ALL the options on the Tuscon -- leather, sunroof, etc. -- for thousands less than a similarly equipped Rav4 or CRV. My insurance even went down!! IMO you get a lotta car for a lost less than Honda and Toyota - who, by the way - tried to rip me off time & time again. Hyundai cares about their customers & it's shown from the 100K mile warranty to all of the additional perks we received after purchase. I've been warned about buying a Hyundai - have heard all of the jokes about how unreliable it is. Well, with the warranty, Lemon Law protection & perks - you can laugh away...but my husband a came out the winners!!

Overall, I've been pleasantly surprised at how much fun this car has been to drive. Runs well, though a little noisy. Good road-view and manueverability. Basic sound system is better than that on my wife's Toyota. Only disappointment has been the fuel mileage -- good but not great. We love it. We replaced my wife's 2000 Jeep Cherokee and we are very impressed. More head and leg room, better vis, and all at the same overall length (+/- a tiny inch or so). If you are a young family with multiple car seats, playpens and baby stuff to haul, it may not fill the bill. But for my wife's everyday round-town, it is perfect. Remember, most of the folks that report to CR are usually those that are unhappy for both small and big reasons. Personally, if interior noice is rated at 92dbs or 94 dbs or whatever, it is typically meaningless to me. Great car, great ride and great value...we researched them all.

I love my Tuscon it takes me everywhere that I need to go without hesitation. It drives really smooth and handles really well. I can pretty much say that I got my monies worth when I purchased it. I don't think that I would be getting rid of my vehicle any time soon. My Tuscon is Obsidian Black and I have 20" Chrome wheels on it. it makes it look like one buffed out Suv. I recieve a lot of compliments about how nice it looks and I even have people stop me and ask me questions like how does it ride and how do I like it and I tell them that I love it and it rides really well. They say that they never seen an suv like mine on the road and I reply I know thats why I'm proud to own it.

After driving a Ford truck, I can tell you this vehicle is much more fun to drive. It handles great and will do everything we will need it to do. Parking in tight spots is no longer a pain. Engine power is sufficient and ride is what you would expect from an SUV, although is better than most others I have been in. I highly recommend this vehicle.

Traded my RAV4 in for the Tuscon because of all the added features on the Tuscon, the warranty, and the great things I had heard from friends about Hyundai. I love it. It's a solid SUV, perfect size for travel & carrying. Very roomy. Great handling. I really like the V6 which may not be as peppy as some but perfect for driving to & from CA on the 15 which has some crazy drivers.

I was looking to purchase the Santa Fe originally but once I saw the Tucson up close and drove it, I had to have it! I anticipated the vehicle to be as small inside as it is on the outside but boy was I wrong! It has a big truck feel for sure! There is ample room inside for hauling whatever within reason. The 2.7 V6 has nice power and acceleration plus the tranny is smooth and tight. Mine is the 4x4 model which operates at 90% front wheel drive and 10% rear unless you go 50/50 with the push button. The traction contriol system with the 4 wheel ABS works great! It keeps the truck very stable. The overall look of the vehicle is outstanding! I've had people think it was a BMW X3 already!

I never thought I'd own a Hyundai but after driving it, pricing it out at $7,000 LESS than a similarly-equipped 06 Toyota RAV-4 Limited V6, and examining the unbelievable warranty (100,000 miles on the powertrain), I was sold. I got a great deal, too, under invoice. Unless you're worried about overpaying for a nameplate to impress your neighbors, this is a no- brainer if you want a small SUV.

My wife and I purchased a 2006 Hyundai Tucson Limited and we love it. The car is by far the most quality small SUV for the price on the market. We are both commuters who travel frequently and in a variety of weather conditions. The Tucson has performed phenomenally in snow, on mountain highways, and it is fun to drive from interstates to small country roads. The price, all of the features, the performance, the look, the warranty, and the comfort of the limited make it the best vehicle we have ever had. It has the look and the feel of a Lexus, with the best warranty around and every where we go people comment on how great it looks. This is an outstanding SUV - you will love it!

MPG are 22 hwy, not bad for new caar and winter! Love the passenger room and that the seats go flat including front passenger, can't say enough good things about it. After 2 american cars, I can finally say again, I love my car!

We purchased this car on Dec. 18th and have had a lot of fun with it so far. It handles beautifully and is extremely comforatble on long drives. The engine is quiet, the ride is smooth and the interior is very roomy. Incredible standard equipment and the safety specs. were a huge selling point. The price was fair and the value, for what you get, is exceptional, not to mention the amazing warranty. Some would say that Hyundai gives that warranty because they expect the car to break down BUT we think they give it to you because it WON'T!! We are extremely pleased with the car overall and hope to keep it for a LONG time!!

Love the Hyundai 'attitude'... they want you to be happy.... nationwide roadside assistance and the dealer/salesfolks are very pleasant and positive about their vehicle and making you happy.

I purchased my Tucson just before Christmas last year and have just over 10,000 mi now. I'm VERY happy with the vehicle. When I was searching I wanted all the luxury features but had a very strict budget. This vehicle allowed me to get all I wanted and keep within my budget. I think everyone looking for a vehicle in this class should definitely give the Tucson a look. And I'm impressed with the gas mileage for being a V6. My Mother owns the Honda CRV and I get the same gas mileage as she does and I have the V6!

The Tucson V-6 has a lot going for it. Easy to drive, responds well, comfortable ride and leads in having the best warranty. For a small SUV it is one of the few that has a design that works for taller people. Too bad they didn't do their homework on providing better mpg. If great mpg is an objective, the Tucson is not for you. You will be disappointed. Consumers look to smaller SUV's to provide great gas mileage. Hyundai failed to respond to consumers. If Hyundai could provide an engine that gets great mpg this SUV would go to the top of it's class.

The beginning of the year I had my eye on the small Lexus SUV. I waited until Nov to check it out. Then went to see the Tucson. Within 2 weeks we decided to make an offer to test drive it and ultimately purchased the vehicle. The personnel were by far the most honest and experienced. The process went very smoothly and did not have to wait for any unnecessary time frame. We couldn't have asked for a more uncomplicated and smooth process. I'd highly recommend this dealership; and, more importantly, the TUCSON as the absolute best buy for the money. I tell you what, you will change your mind just as I did once you give this SUV a chance. So, check it our for yourself. I highly recommend it.

This is my 4th Hyundai purchase, first SUV and I love it!!! The Hyundai cars are a terrific value for the price. They run well, look good, have good storage space especially once the back seats fold down. My Tuscon is my baby, it is so roomy, comfortable and looks good. I can't wait to get in the car (I know its a SUV) and I'm very careful where I park when I go out. I can't say enough about my Tuscon, I will tell anyone who asks where I purchased it, who was my salesperson and that the service department is great also. My 85 year old mother loves the Tuscon and she has no problem either getting in or out. She can't wait until we drive to Disney in February, 2006 and neither can I.

I have been nothing but satisfied with my purchase. I bought the car a week ago and it has been great. I expected the weak fuel economy, but it offers a roomy interior with great lines, and awesome styling on the exterior. I bought the Limited model and it comes with more bells and whistles then my parents Lexus Rx300, which cost almost 10,000 dollars more USED. This car will be with me well into the future, if you just bought one, hope you enjoy it as much as myself.

I have just purchased a Hyundai Tucson and I am very pleased. It drives like a sedan (that was important to me), feels stable on the highway and has a high view of the road. I traded in a full sized van, so I was looking for something smaller without giving up a lot of the pluses found in a van. I was able to afford a car with much nicer "extras" than I had expected in my price range, plus, the extended warranty was an important factor. The exterior styling mimics that of much pricier cars and it has folding seats to help carry any outsized items. So far, it's exceeded my expectations!

First I would say that I am a car nut, I try to get the best buy for the money. I bought my Tuson after looking at all the models in my price field. Beings this vehicle was new this year I had doubts about it as I would with any new model. A few weeks after purchase the wife and I took a trip to Fla. and back a total of over 3000 miles. I am one who likes to check and keep track of the mileage and during this trip we averaged just a little less then 24mpg. Since the Fla. trip we have ventured to Colo. and another trip to Niagara Falls and the mileage has picked up a bit. So far the best has been 26.2. With the vehicle itself it has been perfect as has been the dealership.
