You really need to drive one the 2006-2011 Azeras. The ride is unbelievably perfectly balanced for people who realize they won't be taking corners at 100+mph and no car can make a 10inch deep pothole disappear. If you want a car with good speed, but no drama getting there....this is the car. The ride feel like smooth and quiet, yet alive enough to let you know what the road is like underneath you (my guess is the complaints about ride comfort come from people used to buick marshmallows). We've had this beauty for almost a decade and had absolutely zero issues. Kept her outside in snowy, salty climate and no rust anywhere. None of the drivers in our house have led-foot-itis so we can attest to 20mpg "suburb" being the norm (I did notice a drop down to 19mpg the week I needed to go in to the city for jury duty). Seriously, this car is perfect. It has superb visibility, go ahead and compare it to one of those dreadful new cars with window sills nearly at shoulder height. We drove this car through ice storms and blizzards with no problems (as long as you keep traction control OFF). I am completely in love with this car. So bright and cheerful and I swear it just loves to be driven. We got the base model with the rather unusual upholstery, but good lord this stuff is comfortable. It never heats up in the summer nor does it ever feel frigid in the winter, to heck with leather.... I've actually grown to love just sitting in the passenger seat while the others shop. (The great sound system compliments the relaxing seats very well too) Oh yeah, the usable cargospace is unsurpassed....thrift stores and consignment furniture shops have been our favorite places since getting this car. How Hyundai did this car for the pricepoint is unimaginable, it completely destroys Avalons/Accords/Fusions/Impalas/MKS...and even my 5-series. You have to love this car.

This one of the best cars that I have ever owned. In my lifetime I have had 15 cars, 2 used and 13 new. This car without a doubt has been exceptional. It is going to be 10 years old soon and other that brakes, tires and batteries, nothing else has had to be replaced. The leather interior looks as good as the day one, along with the body and paint. I haven't even had to change a light bulb. It is a great car!!!!

I bought thr Azera as a less expensive alternative to an Avalon. I have had a disappointing (bad) experience with Hyundai National after problems with air bag. A local repair successfully fixed the problem after dealer missed the problem repeatedly.

We bought our 06 one owner Azera for my daughter. It had 93K miles but was well cared for. We have had the car for a year and the engine and interior are top notch. Highway mileage is 27 but in the city it is abysmal. The rear sunshade is a gimic and trouble prone. The car is solid and is a good value used as Hyundai's still don't hold their value as well as the Japanese cars but in my opinion are similar in quality.

This was my first car that I got for my 15th birthday. It is a great car. I see lots of reviews mentioning the harshness of bumps. Honestly, I don't see the problem. It rides so smoothly. The interior is amazing. Very classy steering wheel, plus very comfortable on the hands. It's got a list of very cool features. The steering wheel leans back when the car is turned off as if to get out of the driver's way. Heated seats, electrically powered seat adjusting, sun roof, etc. There is even a mile counter counting down to an empty gas tank. Speaking of gas, this must be the only feature less than excellent. The gas mileage could be slightly better. All in all, it's a really great car!

Best car for any age!

I left my Lexus is250 to my mom when i moved and she got me an azera. At first it was a bit of a downer. However this car is a much better fit now that im a father. Great family car and preformance is awesome. I understand the complaint about ride comfort. Get different tires. Thats all. Sumitomo HTR Z III are cheap and amazing tires. you can get them for under 500 bucks for all 4. The Azera is my favorite car overall.

I have read the reviews about the fuel mileage and don't seem to be getting the mileage in the 20's like people are reporting. In town I am getting 12 mpg I don't have a lead foot and don't do a lot of highway driving. Does anyone have suggestions as to what I can do to get better fuel mileage? Any idea as to what this "download" is that is mentioned in the review?

I have owned the car eright at a year and I have enjoyed driving it. For the price this is a great car. The harshness in how it takes bumps is my only complaint. I had Nitrogen put in my tires and the ride improved a lot. I really enjoy driving it and for the money you can't buy this kind of luxury.

I have owned my car for 3 1/2 years. Got a great price. At 55,000 miles, I still have 5,000 miles bumper to bumper warranty. Thus far, all I have needed done is my lumbar support on the driver side. When I get into my car I still feel like its a fun, luxurious drive. My family, including my father, has had five Hyundais (2 Accents, 1 Elantra, 1 Sonata, and 1 Azera) since 2003. No regrets.

Read all the reviews before buying it. could not get more than 14MPG, under any circumstances, hated that the key fob kept hitting the plastic dash and absolutely hated the ride. I was told to wait till I drove it a while before I can expect better gas mileage. At my first oil change, a young mechanic reinstalled the software that runs the engine and I immediately obtained 17.8 MPG around town and 27 MPG on the highway. I installed a plastic change purse over the key fob to silence the key chain. It worked. I stopped by another dealer to complain about the ride. He installed new shocks on the front and it now rides almost acceptably. I only have 8000 miles on it.

I have had mine for 3 1/2 years and love it. So far the only problem is a crack in the dashboard, which the dealer is replacing under the warranty. My brother bought the 2007 and his dashboard also cracked in the same place, on the passenger side where the airbag is located. Many owners complain about gas mileage but for its size 22mpg combined is not bad. I would highly recommend a Hyundai to anyone, its a good car and the company stands behind all of the models.

Good daily driver that is also good highway traveler. SHIFTRONIC transmission make driving in mountains of Colorado and Utah a pleasure and prevents overheating brakes. Engine, transmission and mechanical perform well in 110+ degree desert heat. Paint has held up well in cloudless sunny skies of Arizona. The battery needed replacement after 2 years, the coolant tank cracked (but did not leak) and the dash top cover cracked, and all were replaced free under warranty by dealer. The seat, foot pedal and steering column adjustments combined with the integrated memory system easily accommodates out 2 drivers who have an 8 inch height difference. This Azera is 3 years old and has 30,000 miles

I had to replace my 97 Camry. Owning all kinds of cars in the past (Lexus- Benz-Honda-Audi) this one made sense. Things I love: safety features (airbags all around, stability and traction control + the usual - ABS etc.), power (250 hp), transmission (smooth, gear stays on until red zone if you hit it), comfort (seats, rear A/C - heat fan, illuminated power switches, auto up/down window for driver & pass), optional features (front & REAR reading lights, huge trunk, good stereo), and highway gas mileage (28). Major gripe: If you want a sporty car this is not it. On straight road it is great. BUT smooshy on curves (just like a Buick). Minor stuff: City MPG could be better. Buy used not new.

i have 45,000 miles on the car. overall, i like it very much. three problems i have had and other customers according to the dealer. the rear electronic window shade motor broke. the dash board has split around the passenger airbag twice now, and some problem with the timing chain recently which causes a rattling noise during a cold first start. all of these were politely fixed by the dealer, no questions asked. my car has consistently got 24.3 mpg, according to the computer.

I am a previous owner of a 2000 Dodge Intrepid ES with the 3.2l engine. For about the same price as I paid for the Trep in 2000, I have a fully loaded LE that has so far been almost flawless. Now after 50,000 miles, I am still impressed. Initially I was scared to try Hyundai after my sister owned a Sonata back in the 90's, and that car literally fell apart. This car has been rock solid and I have only had 2 issues, and all were replaced free of charge by the dealership. The fact that this car has an excellent warranty and free roadside assist sold me. The car looks classy but a bit conservative. It rides a bit mushy but my second set of tires (Goodyear F1) has improved handling.

This car has the quality, reliability and performance of a Lexus for thousands less. In 3 years, we've changed the oil and 1 light bulb. That's it! It goes like stink (that might explain the gas mileage), does it quietly (allowing us to truly enjoy the car's great audio system) all the while feeling secure (even our son loves how the car handles). Incredible Bang for the Buck. 3 people have bought an Azera on our recommendation and love their car as much as we do. Hyundai's Best Kept Secret.

Fast, fun to drive. Excellent build quality and a lot of room both in the rear seat and the trunk! Gas mileage is not good enough in today's market. I get about 21 city and about 25 highway. When you turn your car on, does your car turn you on? Mine does! The only problem I had was the position the highlights were reflecting on the road, but the dealership adjusted. This car is wonderful. From the sleek exterior design, the plush interior to the horse power under the hood. My husband forced me to test drive a Sonata, but when we went into the dealership and I saw this Azera I knew it was something special. Like other comments I've read, it's hard to believe there aren't more on the road.

This is an excellent car that rides beautifully and gets decent gas mileage (avg. 26mpg) on the highway. On the streets of NYC, the mileage plummets and is very poor. The on board computer lists the average mileage in the city as 12mpg. The car is comfortable and performs well. At the parking garage it has been mistaken for a Mercedes more than once.

I was very shocked when i got into the 2006 Limited SE Azera especially since I had a 1992 Lexus LS400. The amenities are great and the car handles fine. The gas mileage definitely needs improvement. I love all the bells and whistles, like when a large SUV gets behind me at night. The lights used to shine right in my eyes. Now I just hit the back reflector shade and the night time driving button on the rear view mirror. I drove up to NY from Fla in 19 hours averaged 68 mph and averaged 28 mpg. I recommend the car. Watch out for the maintenance prices to keep the warranty valid thought.

I purchased this car in late 2006 & have been amazed at it's build quality & comfort. The driving position is perfect for a 6 footer. I use it daily for work in heavy Washington D.C. traffic & 54,000 miles have proven it's durability. It's a pleasure to drive. The Azera has features that others in it's class can't match.I get about 22 m.p.g. in the city, & 26-30 on the highway & this car is fast.

Nobody thought I'd buy this car, including me, but I haven't regretted since. A lot of power for its curb weight. The other day, I had no problem keeping up with a Mazdaspeed 3 on the freeway going 90mph. Like some people say, you don't realize how fast you are going because the ride is very quiet and smooth. Of course, it also helps that Hyundai has such long warranties on it. Haven't had need to take it back to dealer yet though. Roomy interior and superb upholstery, though not leather, all the nice touches are there including the "fake" wood plastic finish. Large trunk. Exterior styling is ok, but not the best. But for a $23K car, it's not bad.

We have been driving 06 Azera for about a year and half and have been extremely pleased with the quality of ride. So impressed were we that when we wanted to buy an SUV (had a baby) we immediately bought a Veracruz LTD AWD. This car has more features, bells and whistles than other brands for a far lesser price. We strongly recommend Azera for anyone looking for a mid-full size sedan.

At nearly 50,000 miles, I can give a fair evaluation. My Azera has snappy acceleration that requires you to pay attention. The pro review that said they got 17.7 mpg is way off base. He must have done his review driving around in 3rd gear. I get 26 to 28 mpg combined mileage, about half city and highway. I am an All-American, but I love just about everything about this car. Easy on tires? I am just about to buy the first set of replacement tires, going to get 235's this time; it will be even better. This car will not disappoint someone who wants a very smooth ride. It's quick, very comfortable with a big trunk for all my things, and a ton of very usable features...Ed

I have had this car for over 2 years now and am still impressed. I am also surprised that I see so many Sonatas on the road and so few of these! I was afraid to gamble on Hyundai after a bad experience in the early 90's but the warranty sold me. The first year warranty seems to replace ANYTHING (I didn't need to use it) and the roadside assistance package can't be beat. This car has a nice but a bit conservative look. The led tail lights make things stand out some. This car has a lot of power and it is easy to be going close to 100 without even feeling it. The car does have a little soft ride and corners a little sloppy for my taste but it is an impressive car overall.

With a bad hip from my 1st. sedan in a very long time, I'm getting back to a small SUV, with more of a straight-up sitting position, the 4-cyl. H-Tuscon will prolly be my next vehicle. With average 24 mpg on my Azzie, I can't complain at all. This was my first luxury sports sedan, driving ~2500 miles monthly for a supermarket chain, all over 5 counties in Tampa bay area. The overall comfort, power to pass/merge, and styling are it's strong points, not to mention pricing when comparing other imported large sedans. Got a sit-in recently in their new Genesis, very nice. But on this even larger car, they don't offer the power folding mirrors, my favorite cool-gizmo!

I was very skeptical about buying a luxury Hyundai, but Azera has surpassed all of my expectations. The ride is powerful, sporty and yet comfortable. The seats are amazingly comfortable and memory seats make it easy to switch drivers. Fuel economy is very good for a large car: 22-24 city, 27-29 highway. Service has been excellent so far. We compared ride to Avalon and found this less floating and more sporty. You feel like you have a fast car, but very good at holding road and over bumps. Great car- big surprise.

I bought this car and I love most everything about it, but I have a problem. My husband hates my drivers seat, he can not get it to go back far enough. I took it to the dealer, two times and they say its just the way it is, but after reading all the reviews, no one has complained about the seat, so that tells me, my dealer just blew me off or my husband is the only man who can't fit behind the wheel. I like this car and most everything about it, but I don't want to do all the driving, when we go on a trip. Can someone help?

I can't count the number of time I'm asked about the Azera Limited by strangers. In parking lots, gas stations stop signs just everywhere. The last one was at a gas station. The guy even asked to sit it in. Beautiful was his comment! Couldn't believe it was 2 years old. Loved the whole car and was going to visit a dealer soon. I love the features inside, attention to detail is equal to those other high-end cars. Power when you need to pass. My son played with the auto shift. Cool he said! Nice wide stance, if looking for a sporty ride not this car, it's a comfort car. Keep it maintained properly and it will go way beyond 10 yrs/100,000 miles.

The Hankook tires will just about make my next 5,000 miles which will be my first big investment in this car- new tires at 50K miles. Rain, sleet, snow and clear skies, the car handles well and is comfortable for both front and rear passengers. I've had the dealer just perform oil changes (wiper blades at 40K)and rotated the tires. No other maintenance required. The body finish has held up well and the car looks brand new coming out of the car wash. Everyone who gets in can't believe how comfortable it rides, quiet and roomy. Overall this has been one of the best cars I have bought.

I traded out of my Acura due to gas prices, on the rise, as it took premium and it was getting up in miles 94,000 but should have kept the Acura, as I miss the handling on the Acura. The Azera limited handling is unstable, and bouncy. I cannot do 120 mph comfortably, as it does not handle the curves very well. transmission has difficulty shifting at times, ABS does not work well in the snow, I slid a lot with new tires. I get 15 mpg due to my driving habits, and any one who knows how to drive, and likes to drive, will not like this car.

This car that I now drive is one of the best cars that in over 55 years I have owned. Most every manufacturers top of the line automobile ( the automatic truck opener) that needed a visit to the dealer near my home has been the only time I needed to visit the dealer. On the highway, real good gasoline mileage and just average in city driving in the winter when we are visited by loads of heavy traffic from the snowbirds. I use only Mobil one oil and have never added a drop of oil between oil changes. My car being one of the first of this model did not come with a navigation system, but has every other item one could ask for.

We bought our Azera new two years ago because an Azera passed our Mazda going up a steep hill. We weren't used to that. Can't understand anyone who says this car doesn't go like stink. There were two models available and we got the one with the V6 3.8 engine (the cheaper model had a different motor -- the overview doesn't mention that so maybe a Canadian option) and all the bells and whistles. The ONLY vehicle that comes close is the Passat and we leave it behind on hills. The passing performance is simply spectacular which we need because we pass a lot of big trucks on icy roads. Fabulous car. More for comfort than performance? I think not.

Traded from a Buick Rendezvous because driving it 80 miles round trip to work was too much $$$ for gas. While looking at Sonatas, a salesman said "check out the Azera, it has as much space as a 7 Series BMW" I sat in it and was instantly hooked. Bought my Azera used with 18K miles, I'm up to 45K and loving every driving minute. I get 29-33 MPG highway and 20-24 city. Idling will drive that down. With the possible exception of my 96 Buick Riviera, it's the best ride I've ever had.

Had 13,000 when purchased. Complained about possible suspension issues, Hyundai replaced all 4 struts and shocks. Had some minor problems that were taken care of under warranty. Mileage has been very good, well over 25 mpg. Had a Toyota Avalon and Mercedes e class, but this is much better car for the money. I am 6,4, but have plenty of room. I get a lot of "what kind of car is this", it looks great. Will be anxious to see the new Genesis.

Hope they can fix or won't buy another.

Impressed by the fit, finish, and options for the money. Didn't like the way the transmission shifted from day one. Under light throttle at 20-30 mph it can't seem to decide what gear it should be in. Also, torque converter lock up frequently won't release under load on a grade without first forcing a 5-4 downshift. More recently, I have been experiencing an intermittent but pronounced bucking/jerking under light load at 25-40 mph. It appears to be related to torque converter lock up problems. Engine is noisy (probably piston slap) until fully warmed up. Suspension transmits a lot of noise over rapid bumps such as rail road tracks or rough pavement. Tire noise is apparent on smooth roads.

Like other reviewers have said, all I ever hear from the service dept. is "that is normal". The transmission in this car is terrible. It never knows what gear to be in. It has slipped on many occasions especially after getting off a highway onto city streets. The service dept. even told me that if my wife drives different than me than the car will not learn how to shift properly!! Who would make a car like that? My wife will not even drive it any more, she hates the transmission that much. Too bad because most everything else is good. Getting rid of it soon.

I bought another used 2006 Azera Limited with 14,000 miles in February, 2007. I have owned 3 Cadillac DeVilles and 2 Cadillac Sevilles since 1995. Although the Azera does not have the Cadillac ride, I still like it better than the Cadillacs. The gas mileage in town has been around 17 but on the road I get mid 20s. Obviously, I am sold on the Azera Limited. I hope the resale values are better in a few years. I look forward to the introduction of the Genesis this summer.

Gas mileage less than 12 mpg city; told car should have at least 10K miles before you get good mileage. Had car in 3 times; told everything normal, "that's what you should expect". Combined city/highway only 17 with >50% expressway. Minor items: accelerator very sensitive on starting; doesn't shift to highest gear til 40 mpg (told normal); keys bump against steering column; no coin holder for tolls, parking meters; light beige interior shows dirt readily.

Gas mileage is terrible. No front seat drivers side leg room. Not a car to drive if you are over six feet tall. Battery drains after 3-4 days of being parked. Hyundai says that is normal(?) Transmission never knows what gear it wants to be in. No reason to buy this car as long as they are building Accords and Camrys.

I've owned many different cars in the last 32 years - all European, and I've kept an eye on the market. The Azera is, in my opinion, the best luxury car you can get for the money. To get a comparably equipped car from anyone else, you'd have to spend at least $5k more, and you probably still wouldn't have rain-sensing wipers. The Azera is very quick, handles well, and has clean, distinctive, styling. And don't forget the LED tail lights, as they afford those behind you an extra margin when you're stopping. Though city economy is not great, I've consistently acheived 28+ MPG on the highway. I just don't see how you could go wrong. This is the frugal buyers luxury car!

I have driven this car for about 14 months now and have no complaints or gripes. and it is $4000.00 cheaper than it's nearest competitor. I test drove all the vehicles in it's class, domestic and foreign, and found nothing better in that price range. In the categories listed above. I was a local car salesman so I have driven a lot of cars from Maserati's to Yugo's and I love this car. I have gotten out of a lot of tight scrapes and dangerous driving situations with this car,It saved my life in handling. This car does what Hyundai says it would. I have owned this car for over a year now and it has been worth every cent so far. I was scared to trust a Hyundai after my sisters experience with a Sonata back in the 90's but the warranty made me take the risk. This car has operated flawlessly since ownership. Like all cars, there are good and bad but this car has been a winner. I am a previous Dodge Intrepid owner and was impressed with the quality, performance and comfort. My only gripe with this car is the shadow that hangs over the driver side low beam headlight. I have heard others complain about this and am still searching for a fix. Other than that, avoiding tickets is my main concern with this cruiser.

One problem, a "dead battery", @ 2,500 miles. They came out within 25 minutes to jump start.I took it to dealer, and they checked it out.Found no problem. I put it on a 24 hr charger, and have had no problems since! ( This happened January, 07) Bumpy ride over rough roads. Very Quiet interior, I sometimes try to start it after it's been running, due to no engine sounds inside the car. Overall, it's been the "best car", I've ever owned. Very spacious interior. I've owned my Azera almost 9 months and have enjoyed every minute. I was prepared to buy an '07 Sonata but after test driving some leftover '06 Azeras on the lot, I was hooked. I ended up paying about $1200 more than I would have for a new Sonata and got a heck of a lot more car. People can't believe it's a Hyundai. It's not a tight "sporty" ride. Handling is a bit drifty, but it's a bigger, softer car. BUT, with 263 ponies under the hood, this car is NOT shy. Styling is sharp and contemporary. Not one "cheap" element to this vehicle. I just don't understand why Hyundai has so heavily marketed the Sonata when this gem is out there. Just test drive it!

We have put about 26K on our 2006 Azera SE. Bought it for about 22K. Lots of zip but overall gas mileage right about 21.5. Have had some issues with it (a/c compressor overvoltage, rear windows not going down, crack in dash) but dealer has been very good about fixes. As with most dealers, service dept tries to make a lot of money. Saying that I had to flush and fill transmission at 30K to keep warranty. 175 dollar deal. Easy to change trans fluid yourself on this car. Finally pinned them down and flush/fill not required to meet warranty, just drain and refill. Keep receipts for trans oil, of course and use special Hyundai oil like the book says.

Purchased used 2006 Azera Ltd. with 15,200 miles. Tremendous car. I miss the smoother ride of the XG350 I previously had, which was sacrificed in the Azera for better/sportier handling, however; I knew that when I purchased it. Overall, I am very satisfied with the combination of handling, quiet ride (it's still very smooth) and performance/fuel efficiency from the 3.8 liter engine. The interior features are all top notch with tons of space for comfort. Six air bags and electronic stability control add some peace-of-mind safety features.

After over 230,000 miles on my Toyota Camry LE wagon, I began looking for a replacement that would not only be as reliable as the Toyota, but also well- made and safe. I looked at several comparable vehicles and consulted many consumer resources (kbb, edmunds, JD Powers, Consumer Reports, etc.), and chose the Azera as the best value overall. I have the Limited Edition pearl white exterior with the light gray interior, leather seats, beautiful wood trim, sun roof, rear sun shade, with dual climate control. The ride is very comfortable and quiet, with minimal wind/road noise. The fit and finish is comparable to models with higher price tags. People have asked what import model I drive! :-)

Hello, I wanted to share with the readers about my 2006 Azera limited. The car has exceeded any expectations I had and I have had Acuras, and the American cars don't even compare. I drove it to Daytona Beach and got 26 mpg with the air on. The car is just as good as some 40,000 cars, the fit and finish is superb, and I get lots of admiring comments. I even just go out to the garage to look at this beauty. I am buying the new rear wheel drive v8 engine. I would not trade this car in except another Hyundai. This car cannot be beaten, for the price and warranty.

I first saw the Azera on the road in mid-summer 2006, thought that it was a good-looking vehicle. When the transmission on my minivan failed at 62000 miles I started to shop for another car. Pricing the Camry and the Buick Lucerne along with the Azera I felt more confident with Hyundai and their 10/100000 warranty. The Azera is the most vehicle that I have ever purchased and I have not been disappointed.

I bought my Azera in Feb 06 and I love it. Ride, performance, reliability is fantastic. Truly a rich car for low price. Tested the big 3,Avalon,BMW and Lexas and found the Azera to be as good if not better and for 5 to 8 Thousand less you can't beat it. The only draw back is the mileage is not as stated, only 13 or 14 mpg city. Since the Azera is computer controlled for gas you have to have more highway then city to keep your average up to 18mpg. Take a long ride after filling the tank and your miles to empty will move up to 373+ and your city mileage will increase to 18+. Anyone who passes up on purchasing the Azera is missing out on the best car of this decade. I'm totally satisfied.

Unbelievabe interior and trunk room. Engine looks like work of art. Passing on highway is superb. Sound sytem is beter than many Japanese. Heated mulitple adjustment seats very supportive. Brakes are very reassuring. Fold down back seat and large trunk opening accomodate long wide items. Gas milage is always at 19 in city.

My opinion of Hyundai shifted from very postive to less than happy within three weeks of buying this car. This was due to experiencing starting difficulties with the Azera which the dealer was unable to diagnose since the on board computer did not show an issue. I was confidently told by the dealer that this was the only problem that an Azera had displayed in the whole country! However, after several days of in-shop time and frantic calls to their HQ a fix was discovered and for the past month the car has performed flawlessly. I am now approaching complete satisfaction with the vehicle. A very nice car. Docile enough around town but nimble enough for rush hour freeway driving.

I inherited a black Azera Ltd from my mom. She asked me about Hyundai before she bought this & I told her that I'd rented a Sonata & thought it was a great value. This Azera easily surpasses the Toyota Avolon that I test-drove. The fit and finish is comparable to my partner's Mercedes and Lexus. Some early reviews complained about uneven gaps in the dash, hood, etc. I compared mine and they're all within 1/16th of an inch, which I consider excellent. My only complaints are; why only a single-disc CD player and why no plug for an MP3 player (it only accepts MP3 discs)? Oh, also, the manual shift will not allow you to hold it in gear to the redline, shifting early at about 6500 rpm.

First I felt like the dealership really wanted my business which when visiting Toyota and Nissan was not the case. After I test drove the Azera the only thing left to sell me on was the color. The car has been everything I had hoped for. I have yet to take it in for anything other than the 3000 mile oil change. I often take it on a drive from Portland to Seattle which is about a 3 hour drive. Even though I'm over 6' tall I feel comfortable the entire trip. The infinity sound system is great and the car is totally quite at freeway speeds. If I had drove an Azera after buying an Avalon I would have felt total ripped off.

I've driven a lot of cars over the years. Among them, Citroens, Alfa Romeos, BMWs, Mazdas, Volkswagen Phaeton, and Rolls Royce (no, I never owned a Rolls). The Azera is one of the finest cars I've ever seen or owned. Hyundai's build quality is as good as anyones. When you factor in the warranty, why would anyone spend more money for a Toyota, Honda, or anything else? It will out accelerate everything in it's class, and has very good handling and ride. It also has gobs of room. The styling of the Azera is also first rate - not flashy or edgy, but somewhat conservative in a way that will allow it to remain stylish for many years. In my opinion, you can't go wrong buying an Azera.

All this for just that?

This car is totally loaded and I only paid $25300 in January 2007 for it brand new with the Ultimate package. The Azera is very beautiful from the outside and has a lush interior with wood grain throughout even in the rear. There is tons of room up front and in the back for 6 foot+ occupants. This car has so many features and my only complaint is the gas mileage and lack of pedal feel in automatic mode. However, when using the auto-shifter you can definitely have more fun during acceleration. This car is very comfortable and definitely blows away the bloated in price BMW/Mercedes/Lexus/Acura cars that it was trying to emulate. Hyundai is no longer a follower, they are now a leader!

I have been used to driving high end/expensive cars. But I took a leap of faith, ignored the Hundai logo and bought the Azera. I find that the ride is smooth and the interior is very comfortable. It is appointed nicely and appears to be well constructed. I have also gotten many complements from coworkers, customers and friends who have been in it. For the price it cannot be beat.

Wow!! If you failed to note the nameplate on the decklid, you might mistake the sumptuous interior for a Lexus or the Cadillac DTS - except that unlike the DTS the Azera uses better materials, has a 5 spd auto, instead of the antique 4 spd, and has folding rear seats ( a must have for us ). The 24 valve V6 outguns the DTS v8, too - in acceleration and top end and gets better MPG on reg. gas. Ride is buttersmooth, it handles well, and is whisper quiet. The Azera would ba a bargain at up to $10K more, and the warranty seals the deal. It gets 29-30 MPG at a steady 70MPH ( 22-23 in mixed driving ) in a Michigan December. This car is absolutely awesome!!!!

I have not been disappointed in any way since purchasing the car (a Limited with the Ultimate Package) ten months ago. The build quality was noticably higher than any American-made car I have ever owned and the feeling of solidity and the quiet ride are still very much in evidence. Routine maintenence has been all that has been required. Small wonder the Azera made it to Edmunds' "Most Wanted" list for 2007. Both my wife and I feel this car handles, looks, and rides like a car costing many thousands of dollars more and intend to drive our black over gray Azera well past the 100,000 mile mark.

The azera really accelerates, and the shifts are seamless. This car has all the bells and whistles. It is extremely quiet at 75 mph. The outside paint finish is flawless. The seats are very comfortable, and the leather is of high quality. When going through turns, it really hunkers down and grabs the pavement, it feels like you are glued to the road. This car has great brakes with little pedal fade. The motor is so quiet that you have to listen really hard when you start it, to hear if it is running. The combination of headlights and driving lights really light up the road ahead. There has not been any warranty items that I have had to have the Dealer correct, this being a first for me.

The headlights have a very dark line and I think very limited range on the headlights. I noticed this when I test drove the vehicle. The dealership raised the headlights to what they said was the proper level. After purchasing the car I noticed that the lights were set too high and people were flashing the high beams at me. I had an independen garage check the the lights and they had been set too high. In other words, I was mislead. In addition, the car doors do not lock automatically. This was something I didn't notice in the test drives. Even the cheapest cars have this feature for security. I also find it annoying that you cannot charge a cell phone without the engine running

Country and rough roads were no match for the suspension in my Azera. This car straightened out the curves and leveled the dips on the old country roads. On the highway or state roads I had plenty of passing power.Interior is georgeous with plenty of room. The leather seats were full size with plenty of support and adjustments to please almost anyone.Fit and finish on this Azera was top-notch.Radio and heater controls very easy to use,the size of the buttons and control knobs were designed to fit the average size hand of a male owner. Plastic material in the interior felt like it belonged in a vehicle costing far more than the Azera.Looking forward to having this Azera for a long long time.

I just picked up the Azera. I'm selling my 06 Sonata LX. Another Great Car. The commercials and pricing on the Azera made me jump. The car drives like a BMW/Lexus/Mercedes. Great power, ESC, TC and all the other options are great. I drove the other day through 15 types of rain in an hour, the auto wipers adjusted PERFECTLY everytime. The car feels like it can take turns even better than my Sonata, and I thought that was great. This is a $40,000 car, without a doubt. Luckily we are on the cusp of Hyundai regaining Market share after previous years of producing crappy cars. Buy now, the prices WILL go up, the car is simply outstanding.

Wanted sedan with good build quality and driving performance, but also good warrenty coverage. Purchased a Hyundai Azera Limited with Ultimate package and could not be more pleased. Intial quality was excellent and better than my experience with my old Acura and it handles great on the highway. Was set to buy an Avalon and was just browsing through the Hyundai parking lot when I ran across a gentleman driving a Lexus whose brother had just bought an Azera. Both men felt the Azera was just as nice as the Lexus but thousands cheaper. So I decided to drive one before finalizing my Avalon purchase. I am so glad I did. I have had my car a month now and love it. It rides so smooth. It is the most comfortable car I have ever had. The trunk is very spacious, fold down seats (which the Avalon does not have) come in handy. This is the first car I have bought in 26 years that is not a Honda or Toyota so it was quite a leap for me to buy a Hyundai. Time will tell regarding reliability.

We have our Azera ltd for 2 months now and still get a thrill everytime we open the door and get in. The ride is so smooth, I worry I could fall asleep behind the wheel! We see so few on the road that when we do see one, it does not register immediately that the beautiful car in the next lane is the same one we are driving! Don't understand why Hyundai is not promoting it much. The only complaint we have is that the gas mileage is not great. But then again our last car, the Infiniti G35, was pretty poor on gas also. We have yet to take it on an extended trip where we can really get an accurate gas mileage measurement.

My previous two cars were Cadillac DeVilles, the last an '03.I dropped into Hyundai dealership on a lark and was immediately impressed. I was originally planning to buy the top of the line Toyota Avalon. But not after seeing and driving the Azera. I purchased the Azera Limited with Ultimate package and two days later started out on a 5000 mile round trip. Car performed perfectly, great mileage and drove in total comfort. Outstanding quality, appearance, and marvelous sound system. This is truly the best car I've ever owned and I've owned lots of them.I recommend this car without equivocation. My Hyundai Azera Limited, with Ultimate package, is truly the best car I've ever owned!

MUCH better than our old '04 Lincoln LS

Wife's car,I drive a Vette.I like the looks and quality of this Azera. The V-6 has some guts and the tranny shifts smoothly. We had an '04 Lincoln LS,what a piece of crap compared to the Azera.Ride is nice, car is super quiet, all of the gadgets and options are great for the money.Mileage is somewhat low,but regular gas is a huge plus.It is great to go from the Vette to the Azera, like going into a sound proof booth. Not many on the road in So. Fl.,but I'm sure that will change. The trunk is so huge, as is the rear seat room. Fit and finish are very nice for a Korean auto, they hit the mark with this model.

Very nice car with a lot of standard features. Huge trunk for golf clubs. I especially like the center console and how it doesn't restrict my right knee as I am 6'-2". This car is well crafted although there are some annoyances. Even with Mercedes, you don't approach perfection until you cross the 50K mark. Strong engine. Lack of little issues like mysterious rattles and squeaks, etc. Also, there are not 10 of them next to you at the stop light!

Love the Azera

I have been an American sedan driver for 20 years. I decided a change was in order. I looked at BMW, Audi, Toyota, and Lexus. I saw an Azera on the road 2 months ago and slowed down to see what it was. I did my research, test drove it a couple of times and bought it last week. I'd recommend it whole heartedly. I bought the Limited with the premium package (6 CD Infinity Speakers, Sunroof). I love the interior and its well put together. Handles great and fun to drive. The past 2 cars I have owned were both Cadillacs, and I am looking forward to driving this car for years to come.

Internet shop for your auto and save thousands! We love the sporty look and luxury of the Azera Limited. Very quiet ride. You have to look at the tach to see if the engine is running. We originally looked at the Toyota Avalon but the Azera has high end quality for thousands less. The safety features are the latest technology and 10 year 100,000 miles is comforting also. Hyundai is making a strong statement in the auto business. Can't wait to see the Hyundai trucks!

Did a lot of research on similar cars before purchasing - Toyota Avalon, Lexus and Ford 500. None of these cars offered all of the options for the price!! We got the Limited with the Ultimate package. Beautiful car........it was a hard sell to my husband who wanted a Lexus, but since he has driven over the past month, he loves the car too!! Great Warranty - watch out everyone Hyundai is on the move.

I have had nothing but compliments on it and with a super warantee to boot I look forward to many trouble free miles. I compared other vehicles on the web and was prepared to pay more, but I couldn't justify it after a test drive in my the car. It was more than I asked for at a super price. Great value!

Responds very well and a sharp looking car inside and out. The leather is supple, controls are easy to reach. Why spend the money on the hood decal of Mercedes or Lexus, this car is fantastic. Bravo Hyundai and thank you.

Owned a Lexus SC and GS 400. This car has the same features for thousands less. But still emits quality, fit and finish like the Lexus. I am a "bells and whistles" guy and this has so many for the price. Plus of course the 10 yr/100k warranty shows me Hyundai has confidence in its vehicles. I just don't know where else for under $30k you get 265 HP, 8 airbags, 17" wheels, Michelin tires, a fullsized spare tire with alloy wheel, quality leather, premium stereo with 6 disc CD changer, ABS, traction control etc. I also, as a bigger guy, cannot get over the leg room and tremendous head room and the huge, deep trunk. These guys are going to give Toyota and Honda headaches.

In the middle of a 5000 mile road trip. So far, from AZ desert to Yellowstone high country, to central Iowa. Car has not missed a beat, very comfortable for 10-12 hour days. Plenty of room for luggage. Gas mileage (which I complained about in my last review) has been unexpectedly good--between 25 and 30 mpg. I continue to believe the Azera is the best automotive value to be found, bar none.

I was impressed with the presentation, comfort, and features of this car. Initially considered because of its extreme quality rating, I liked the drive as well. One problem is the hesitation of the accelerator. The dealer indicated it cannot be fixed and it is a computer problem, but I find it hard to deal with rush hour traffic. The hesitation makes reacting a hazard. Also had a problem with the rebate check that took 5 weeks to show up. Otherwise, the car is loaded with great features.

This is an incredible automobile from the standpoint of quality, features and comfort. It is a real head turner and I've had people ask what is that car? I live in a relatively upscale suburban area so there is plenty of "emblem snobbery", so I smile when people tell me what an attractive car I have. We have had Acura TL's for the past several years which we leased. In Jan. I bought a 2006 Sonata LX6 and was so satisfied with it that after test driving the Azera last month I bought that for my wife and as the "family car" so I can have an excuse to drive it. It's one of the finest cars that I have ever driven, and I've had a few.

Look at the rear of the Hyundai Azera. Notice the beautiful tail lights and tail pipes. There is a nice bulge over the rear wheels. It is the nicest rear end of any car I have seen! The car is roomy, well thought out, loaded with useful features, and has a powerful engine. I drove from Miami to NY and back and averaged 24mpg at 77mph. Around town I am only averaging 14.5- 15.5mpg. I can't figure out other Azera owners claiming over 20mpg around town. The fit and finish is top notch. The car is very quiet at highway speeds. Good brakes and excellent handling in heavy rain. This car is as satisfying to own as my previous 5 Lexuses were and for a lot less money. This car is a great value!

I've owned my Azera just over a month now and I'm finding new things to rave about everyday. Wow! I'm glad I found this car because I had never looked at a Hyundai before. I'm glad I didn't waste my money at buying a Toyota Avalon. This car is just as good or maybe even better. It drives and feels like a Deville for soooo much less money. A lot of new customers are going to Hyundai to look at the Azera -- it's a winner by all standards. My neighbors can't believe it's a Korean car, and I can either. I think I'll run out to the garage and take another test drive. Wow!

After reading other reviews, I wanted to say you can get a navigation system for this car - check with your dealership. Mine quoted about $2500 including installation. This car replaces my Tiburon which I loved, but this is way more practical for everyday driving as a RE Broker. I upgraded to the Ultimate pkg so this has everything you could ever want in a car! I shopped for a while and for the money you won't find a better deal with the warranty to back it up! It is comfortable for all of our family, and with 2 teenage boys who's legs go on forever, it was hard to find a vacation vehicle they could be comfortable in for hours of sitting while driving. I love this car!

We purchased our Azera mostly due to the value it seemed to offer compared to an Avalon. We have not been dissapointed so far. It rides beautifully. We have not driven the car long enough, but we feel mileage is not as good as it is advertised. I was skeptical to purchase the Azera - due to Snub Appeal - but now that I have it, I'm proud to have the same features as my neighbors and have saved us some money. I just hope it holds as well as our last car, which was a Honda. We were extremely happy with the reliability of the Honda and hopefully will be equally happy with the Azera's performance.

I found that the tires were over inflated on delivery and once I reduce the preasure to the recommended 30psi the ride inprovement was significant. The only other problem I have had is that the sunrooof has a slight air leak at times. Dealer has adjusted it.

First 3 days after taking ownership our area received over 8 inches of rain, and of course I had a lot of driving to do. The car handled great even with water laying on the road. The auto- rain sensor wipers are great. The ECS feature is amazing. I also like the 2 person driver seat "memory" and the "folding" side mirrors. I am anticipating driving this winter to see how it hanles in the snow. I particularly like the sterring and turning radius, for such a large car the turning is phenomimal. The sunscreen is also great.

I bought my Azera limited after doing a ton of research on the net. I got fed up with spending a mint fixing my audi a8 continuously. I wanted to find a somewhat comparable safe, solid roomy vehicle that was built well and didn't cost an arm and a leg. I looked at used BMW, Passat, Jags, Saab, Audis, Avalon and kept coming back to the Azera. I bought it for about the same price as other used cars with 30-40k miles and now feel it might very well be one of the smartest choices I could have made.

The new Azera is a real performer. I came from an XG300L (which was stolen or I would still have it), to the Azera which is a better road car and much more responsive to the throttle & less "float" at high way speeds. The one sour note to an otherwise fine new model is the atrocious gas milage. I'm told by Hyundai, it should improve with additional milage. That said, I really think Hyundai has a new winner.(would appreciate input on others milage)

Purchased the car and took it for a test spin of 1,800 miles round trip. Needless to say the car and I bonded. I have never had so much fun driving. I actually look forward to driving and sometimes find myself looking for ways to make my drive time longer. The interior comfort is beyond perfection. The performance is outstanding. With 263 horses, who needs a sports car (which by the way the last two cars I owned were). I have owned a Hyundai in the past & sold it to a family member. Now 8 years later it still looks great. If this car performs as I expect, it will be in our family for a long time. Thanks Hyundai for a dependable and well appointed alternative.

I have 1500 miles on my Azera LE with the Ultimate package. The car is extremely quite even at speeds of 80 MPH. Smooth ride, tight handling, excellent acceleration, great sterio, refined interior design, flawless paint job and loads of space in the cabin and the trunk. Around town mileage 22, highway 25. Needs better front seat bolsters for curves. You can't beat the value of this car no matter what the Manufacturer or model.

The Azera is by far the best car Hyundai as built yet. Style, comforts, and HP. I've gone from brand new 96 Accent, 2000 Sonata, and 2004 XG350. Better and better each year. Starting with the 2006-2007 models the resale values will start coming up and become above average in the next few years. The Azera is a pleasure to drive. Many people can't believe that Hyundai has put out such a classy car from the head to toe. I expect to have this car for a long time, unless they come up with a even better model, which I've come to expect from Hyundai.

I checked out Nissan Maxima,Toyota Avalon and VW Passat and kept coming back to the Hyundai Azera. Best value for my $. Just completed a trip to the west coast 6000 kms-No problems, lots of power and averaged 33 mpg. Very comfortable ride-best seats in the industry.

This replaces a 1997 Lexus ES300. It lacks refinement and ride of that car but is peppy, an exceptional value, and is very stylish. The directional handling is not as good as the nine year old Lexus. On smooth roads the ride is very quiet but on the rough pavement of the Northeast the Azera ride is hard. You hear and feel every bump, not typical of the firm ride on entry level luxury cars. I should done a longer test drive. There are several quirky items in the electronics including headlights, memory features, and dash light dimming. Overall, the Azera is a significant step forward for Huyndai but they are going to need 1 or 2 model years of refinements to make it great car .

Six months and 7200 miles now, and I still love this car. Yes, there are a few things that could be done better, but overall, it's a great car. Great value for the money; only concern I have is depreciation, but I think that, as Hyundai's reputation continues to improve, that depreciation won't be an issue in a few years. Drove a Sonata on vacation last week, and liked it almost as well as the Azera - but I'm spoiled by the interior room, quietness, and performance of the Azera. I'd recommend either car, though. Fuel mileage is about the same for both cars - both had a V6. Azera is much faster. Just put a K&N air filter in my Azera - there's a noted difference in HP!!

I test drove several competing vehicles before driving the Azera that I soon owned. The Azera has a great safety package, exceptional creature comforts, better handling than the Camry, excellent acceleration for those short freeway entrances, and is very quiet at posted highway speeds (and above). This roomy car was a great find and a pleasant surprise. I think the SE is a great value, especially with the 100,000 mile warranty! Put this one on your test drive list before you buy a Honda or a Toyota.

If you'd told me a month ago I was going to buy a Hyundai, I'd have laughed. That was before driving the Azera. Wow. This car is absolutely loaded with almost every feature you could wish for. And it drives beautifully. All for $20,000 less than a BMW 535i. I drove the Bimmer, and although the handling was tighter, it really didn't excel in any other way. The Azera is just as stylish, roomier, smoother and doesn't have the awful i-Drive system. The Limited with the Ultimate package is a steal at the same price as a Camry or Accord. And throw in the warranty for what I think is a no- brainer. The car is elegant, responsive, fast when you need it to be and build quality is superb.

The ride is very smooth and quiet. The engine has good pick-up but is quiet. Front view is open and unobstructed. The interior is very roomy, especially in the back seat. Leather seating is very soft and comfortable compared to other vehicles. The 6-disc stereo system is very nice. The warranty coverage and excellent pricing convinced me to purchase this car. Not to mention the 5 years roadside assistance. A lot of the saftey features in this car that was standard, but optional in other vehicles played a huge role in my decsion to purchase as well. I've had my Azera Litd. since June 15 and love it. It was difficult to find the color I wanted. But I eventually got what I wanted--venetian blue with tan leather interior. Car is soooo quiet and comfortable to sit in. Only drawback is lack of fuel economy. I've been averaging just 17-18 mpg over several tankfulls of gas, even with some highway driving. With mixed driving, I thought I'd average around 22-23 mpg. Very disappointing, especially with gas prices as high as they are. At least the car runs on regular gas.

What a car! More all around room than our '04 Lincoln LS. More power, smoother shifting trans, just as many if not more features. All for $8 - $10 grand less. And it runs on regular fuel vs premium. Great stereo, good vision, ride is soft for my liking, but still rides nicely. It is my wife's car, she picked it and she loves it, period. Many positive comments on looks and styling. Full size spare with same style wheel, back to 5 tire rotation, good thing. Sun screen in rear window, what a neat thing to have if you have rear seat passengers. We live in Fl and it comes in handy almost everyday. Mileage could be better, but at least it takes regular. Thanks to my wife, good purchase.

I once owned a Lexus RX 300 and I can honestly state that the Azera beats that Lexus hands down. The engine is so quiet that twice I tried to restart the car because I thought that the motor was not running, wrong!! I do not think that they can make a more luxurious interior than the all leather interior Azera. The fit and finish is perfect, no blems, tight seams, very high quality materials. The suspension soaks up road blems and you get the sensation of riding in a limosine. The 10 speaker radio is a real killer. Such other extras as rain sensing wipers, electric rear window sun screen, auto on headlights, heated seats, the list goes on and on. This car has everything you could want. Buy one. I haven't even mentioned the great warranty, 10 years and 100,000 miles.

I have had this car for 2 months. My last car was a Dodge Intrepid ES. This car attracted me by the long list of features and great warranty. I was surprised by the exceptional amount of power this car has! Coming from a Dodge 3.2 L, I was blown away by the power and the quietness of this car. This car literally sails. The downside to this is that it is very easy to be moving along so smoothly and quietly, then notice that you are doing 85! The interior and leather heated seats are comfortable and feel expensive. You need to test drive this car for yourself! There is a small list of negatives, and you really need to be picky for this list.

I have owned the Azera for 6 weeks and have just passed the 1200-mile mark. As the owner of two Mercedes Benz sedans, the Azera's ride and handling is very similar and better in some respects. As a baby-boomer and former muscle car owner, I was very pleasantly surprised at the "pick up" and immediate power for passing or just enjoying the power packed in this great sedan. Maximum gas mileage so far has been 25 miles per gallon (combined city and highway). I like the body style, but did not know how much I appreciated it until I saw other Azeras on the road. The car has great lines and really catches your eye!

I found the Azera early in the year when it was first released through reviewed automobiles on the web comparing cars at the Lexus-Avalon level of quality, performance and comfort. The automobile site reviews were so positive and both the look and technical info for the car on Hyundai's web site so imnpressive that I went to a dealer to see it in person. It had just arrived at dealerships and I wouldn't have known about the Azera if I hadn't stumbled on to it during my web research. It's a great entry in to this class of automobile by Hyudai with a strong engine and comfortable ride. It's fun to drive and it looks great. It's a great car for the money.

Get the car from the dealer that ordered it, not one that will get one from ANOTHER dealer, (you will negotiation). I studied a Avalon and this is so much more for the money. We stopped at a Mazda dealer to look at the 6 and the dealer sold Hyundais as well. WE looked at the Sonata (pretty nice for the $) and then the Azera....Wow! I'm 6'6" and we have two teens that are over 6' as well. The comfort was great, lots of leg room and head room in back, the interior appointments are good quality. Took the car for a ride, performance is more than adequate and the ride is smooth and quiet. Long-term experience will tell, but at first impression, Hyundai has made phenomenal strides.

This is the most pleasing car I have owned. Contrary to some others I find the ride to be pleaingly firm without that floating feeling. Performance is excellent, however unless it's needed a feather foot on the gas pedal will keep the car up with traffic and yield a satisfying gas consumption. I achieved 27 mpg with about 60/40 highway/suburban driving. May drop when I exceed 60 mph after the break- in period. Fits and finish are excellent.

I have only had mine for a week now, but I am throughly satisfied! When I first was shown the Azera by the salesman, I liked what I saw. When he said let me get the key I said no thanks, let me do my homework first. I went home and looked up the reviews by the experts and owners. Two hours later I was back with my wife and said go get the keys. After carefully checking the quality of the interior, exterior and finally the drive I was sold. After a week of ownership I am still pleased, and with the warranty I think my satisfation will go well into the future. I have suggested this same car to a couple of friends that are currently thinking of buying a new vehicle.

Its just a good car to drive every day. Before we bought this car my husband and I wanted to buy a BMW (5series)but we test drive the AZERA first and we fall in love how comfort it was when you drive itself. Not only we saved a lot of money for not buying a BMW but but we felt that we drove a car that drive more than a BMW. Price itself was a good catch for us. Were very happy about it.

It was my intention to choose between the Hyundai Azera (limited) and the Toyota Avalon. Aside from a significant price saving, I have found the bigger trunk and inside dimensions as real pluses over the Avalon. The overall quality after 5 months is quite impressive to me, and it is a very fun car to drive. It is very good in the snow and on slippery roads. I wish I could get higher gas mileage.

I really like this car!

I bought my Azera Limited w/ Ultimate over Memorial Day weekend and I am really liking this car. Between the Azera, Avalon, Camry, and Accord I kept coming back to the Azera for it's tremendous value. As one who keeps cars for about ten years the possible low resale value doesn't bother me. My quibbles are minor: 1) the owner's manual is very poorly written; 2) the steering wheel audio controls are insufficient, I want to be able to change stations and tracks from the steering wheel; 3) there is no bluetooth availability; 4) there is no navigation system availability I rated fun-to-drive a 9 but I have no beef with this car - I didn't buy it for a "fun" ride.

Gas Mileage: 29.5 Flat highways with air on at 75 mph. Mountains: 28.3 mpg with air at 70 mph through the mountains of West Virginia. I measure city mileage by "operating time" because mpg does not work in the city - some cities have more lights and traffic than others. My City Operating time is now 11 hours on a full tank of gas. The Azera performs so well through the mountains and downshifting going up hills was rare. The ride was incredibly smooth. The air quality control system picks up quickly on bad exhaust and immediately turns off outside air.

Love these forums. i was looking at the Lexus ES330 or Toyota Avalon when these boards highlighted the problems with the Toyotas and kept comparing it against the Hyundai Azera. After driving it against the Lexus and Toyota, it was no contest. I am the very happy owner of the Hyundai Azera Limited after being a Loyal Volvo owner. This car is so luxurious, too bad people still perceive Hyundai as low quality - but I expect that to change very quickly in the next few years! Also, buying was so easy and no high pressure salesmen - i had an internet manager (woman) and a salesperson (woman).

Hyundai has come a long way back especially when they introducted the Azera. We were in the market for a new vehicle and after reviewing Consumer Reports decided to test drive a few to include the Toyota Avalon and 2007 Camry and Honda Accord. Due to the history of Hyundai I had my concerns with buying one of their cars even thought our daughter had a 2004 Elantra which was a Consumer Reports recommended buy. We test drove all the others before driving the Azera. Turned out we saved the best for last and for thousands less! Have owned 95 Corvette with six speed and 99 Cadillac STS..this is better than both!! Drive one for yourself and you're be impressed too! Japanese auto makers beware!

It looks and drives great, has plenty of power and is quiet. Fit and finish are outstanding. It is loaded with features;a great find when compared with much more expensive cars.

I have my new Azera about 5 weeks now. I'm retired so I don't do alot of driving. It's a good thing beacuse so far the gas mileage is horrible. On my second fill-up I put 19.6 gals. in the tank after going 271 miles. You do the math. I hope after the break in period my mileage will get better. I traded in a Cadil. Deville that got better MPG than that. Otherwise the car delivers all that was advertised so far.Would have traded sun shade for tilting down mirrors. They spoiled me.

My wife and I traded our Infiniti I30 for the Azera Limited with ultimate pkg. We chose the Azera after comparing it to Acura TL, Lexus ES 330, Buick Lecerne and Toyota Avalon. The Azera was equal to or superior to all of them and thousands of $ less expensive. It's a nicer car than the I30. We love the fit, finish and ride.

I traded in my 2004 Honda Accord EX V-6 for the Hyundai because it looked as if it would be a good buy. I was skeptical, but having it now for a little bit, I can say it was the best move I've made! I have a Mercedes sitting next to it in the garage, and the Hyundai gets more WOWs by my friends! The ride is unbelievably smooth in the city, it's quick on the highway, the interior is comfortable beyond belief, and very refined for a foreign car. I would have never thought that a Hyundai could be so good! I have owned a Nissan Maxima and Toyota Avalon, and I would recommend the Azera over those two very similar vehicles!

The automobile has nice appointments for a car in this price range. The interior looks as good as any premium auto I have seen. The care drives capably, but does not have a very sporting character. I wish the suspension was a bit tighter. My biggest problem to date is the ambiguous owners manual. It states in the manual that the outside mirrors should automatically drop when the car is placed in reverse. The dealer told me the manual has a misprint. Part of the reason I bought the car was for this feature. This disappoints me, because no one at Hyundai can tell me why this is the case. I believe this should have been included in the features on the car, but due to budget was delet

I took a chance buying this car believing that it would depreciate quickly. Who cares! This is by far one of the most comfortable cars I have ever driven. I considered the Acura TL, but there was just something about this car. Hyundai did not pump you up through specs and so on. They delivered a car for you to discover. Gas mileage has been great, but truthfully, operating time is the best comparison for city driving, gas mileage is about 0 per gallon at a light. You get about 10 hours drive time in the city. Read the manual and you will get much more out of your car.

I totally enjoyed test driving the car. The exterior trunk shape was not my fav but the interior design was perfect in every way. The only complaint that I had was that the test model steering wheel had two chips on the steering wheel. The car had 5000 miles on it and the owner/manager drove the car for 2 months. Now if two chips can happen in 2 months what is going to happen in 2 years? It’s not covered under warranty according the sales person. Test drove the Toyota Avalon and it is a superior vehicle in ever way though the $6500 difference is hard to justify. Though the seats, engine, and driving experience was better.

This is the 3rd Hyundai that I have purchased. My first was a 2003 Santa Fe, 3.5L, which I loved so much that I purchased a 2003 Elantra for my mother. She feels that the Elantra is the best car she has ever owned! I traded my Santa Fe when I decided to purchase a more fuel efficient vehicle because of the amount of driving that I do. I had only 'stopped' into the Hyundai dealership to 'look at' the new Azera model that had just become available.....and the rest is history. It only took me a test drive and I was hooked. The luxury that Azera Limited offers is far greater that the price paid. Did I mention that I LOVE this car?????????!!!

The Azera is a great car in the following areas: The car is very quiet, the engine is smooth and powerful, the interior is top quality. The car is very enjoyable to drive. So far the fuel economy is what I expected (19 MPG in city driving), I have had brief experience with highway driving - got 22.8 MPG on it's first long drive (300 miles round trip).

Have owned one month. Very pleased with the car. Lots of power for the money with quick acceleration and torque at all speed ranges. Corners very nicely with firm control. Interestingly, when I first purchased, the ride was very mushy around corners and I was somewhat dissappointed. Found the tires to be 15-20 lbs under- inflated and corrected. Now corners like my previous Benz. Traded in an Impala LS for this and SO much more car! So far, I've had more admiring comments from strangers on the looks than most cars I've owned (only topped by the Benz and a Supra). Most garage employees (live in NYC) think it is a Lexus and they see everything. Steering, braking, fit/finish all A+. Stereo A+.

After shopping '06 Volvo S40 and Toyota Camary/Avalon, my wife & I decided to view the Azera. We stopped at the dealer for a brochure & ended up testing one. By the end of the day we had traded in my wife's 2000 Sonata for the Azera. It has more horsepower than the S40 & Camary (as much as the Avalon) and more iterior/storage space than all three. With these features, the Azera was still $2K-$3K cheaper than the S40 & Avalon. Once we upgraded the bumper- to-bumper warranty to 10yr/100K mi, the others can't come close. These facts made choosing the Azera very easy. We look forward to driving the car for a long time. True, its not a sports sedan but we'll trade that for all we got! C 4 urslf!

I can't drive it anywhere without getting second looks and stunned disbelief when I say it's a Hyundai Azera. It's frequently mistaken for a 300 series Mercedes. When I tell questioners the features included in the Limited Series Ultra Package and "ballpark them a price" there's even more disbelief. I had been looking at a Lexus ES330 when a friend suggested I take a look at the Azera. I drove an Ultimate Package and was simply blown away. The only thing I liked better about the Lexus was the auto up and down feature for the rear windows. Past that, it truly doesn't hold up well against the Azera. I traded an 03 Lexus ES in on my black on black Azera. My husband is trading his Acura for a Steel Gray azera next month. Dealership experience as good as our (former) Lexus dealer. I own an Infiniti FX, BMW 530, MB E320 and the Azera is quickly becoming my favorite car to drive. The interior, fit/finish, build quality, ride quality is on par with the other luxury makes I own. In fact, the Azera is faster and has a more quieter, potent V6 than the MB and BMW. The interior cabin is absolutely quiet at high speeds. I installed after market Xenons and an Eclipse Dual Din Navi, which completes this vehicle. A poster here claimed that the Azera had below average crash test numbers. That is false! Look it up yourself on the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (safercar.gov) and the Azera's only been tested for the frontal test getting 4 stars.

This car costs more than 40,000 dollars in korea. don't know why hyundai lowered their price so much. anyway it's good for me~. this vehicle performs like luxury, very nicely equipped, built, and most importantly, its price in the U.S is not even 28,000 dollars.

I purchased my Azera in mid-March after much research. The Azera is a quality car with features found in cars costing thousands more. However, recently released crash test results put the Azera below most sedans in several safety areas. This is very discouraging -- especially considering all of the saftey hype that surrounded this car. Another disappointment is fuel economy. I average about 20 mpg (70% city 30% highway). The performance is great. Superb ride and feel. Accleration and brakes are excellent. It is a very comfortable car with good handling. The exterior design is not breathtaking, but above average. The build quality appears great. Overall, very impressive.

I was already impressed with the Hyundai reliablity having traded in my 2002 Sonata GLS w/105k miles on it. Since day one...I've truly enjoyed driving this new Azera. The ride quality, features, layout, fit and finish truly make this the best Hyundai to date! I love the fact that when you look at the Azera from different angles, it makes you think of other cars and yet...there's nothing on the road that looks like it. Pro - Bang for your buck. Simply put, what you get for your money is not going to be equalled by any other name plate in the industry. Con - That Hyundai is still taking knocks for their past failures, no matter the strides they've made in product improvement.

I was on the fence, deciding between a Dodge Charger or the Azera. After driving both twice the choice was easy - Azera! Extremely comfortable, great ergonomics, and peppy to boot (0 to 60 in 6.5 seconds vs. the Charger at 6.3). Build quality and materials are very high quality and it has all the right nuances and amenities you would expect to find in a Lexus or Audi. My friend, who paid close to 50K for his Acura, was amazed by the Azera. Absolutely no buyers remorse at all. This is the first car I've bought that I can easily see myself being happy with for 5 years.

To be honest, I initially hesitated. Now that I think of it Hyundai gets an undeserved bad reputation. I've owned mostly Toyotas (Lexus), but decided to take the leap of faith and tried the Azera. My experience has been good, if not exceptional. There have been no problems a month in. I have several members driving the car. The power is quite good, solid braking, and I love the interior. Because of my good experience I may consider the Equus when it comes out. I understand will be even higher end. I guess that car will compete with the heavy weight luxury vehicles. It would be an injustice to not test drive this if you are looking for entry level luxury

Less than a year ago I was carying on about my new KIA Amanti... that was than and this is now. The Azera is perhaps the best blend of quality, style, execution, performance and value ever offered to the American public. (a little over the top? I don't think so!) A handsome automobile, roomy and comfortable for thousands less than other makes that only meet, not exceed these levels of build-quality and manufacture. An awsome car that I'm proud to own.

I just purchased this car for my fiance and myself. We are leaving behind a 2004 chevy ss impala. This new flagship sedan from hyundai is their best yet. Smooth ride with enormouse amount of room in the interior. Design is flawless, and for the sticker price of 29,075 is not too bad. Tons of safety features that will have you looking at hyundai in a whole different light. Interior was well thought out.I can say that i have had four cars and this one tops this one. but dont take my word for it go and test drive one and you will see what i mean.-Jason

Due to dramatically different driving positions, my wife and I needed a car with tilt/telescope electically-adjustable steering. This is the only car in this class with this attribute which is why we began to look more closely. Has full memory settings for seat, this steering and mirror as well as EZ-In/out with seat and wheel receding. Amazing set of features with all safety goodies, fast engine, large interior & trunk; upscale touches like rainsense wipers, rear window shade, MP3 310 watt system etc. So far the car has been perfect. Some minor design complaints, but nothing fatal. Also, sales reps, service techs etc. have not gotten good schooling on car...so do your own homework.

After driving this vehicle for a month I have one thing to say "Wow! This is a Hyundai?" This vehicle is very quick, and agile for its class. It has a great turning radius compared to its size, acceleration is terrific, and overall handling is smooth and responsive. I drive around 600-1000 miles a week and comfort is a big deal for me and with this vehicle I haven't had to worry about it. The interior is very confortable and has many posture support features such as a lumbar and higher placed seats (Good for bigger people like me). The interior has a luxurious warm feeling to it and its spaciousness and an overall sharp looking vehicle makes it feel even better. Worth every penny!

A great car. Hyundai has hit a homerun with this car, no question. Forget the over priced, frequent visits to the dealer for squeaks, rattles, wind noise and misc. other problems we had with our Volvo S80. This car is much quieter and rides equally as good as the S80 for $10+K less. With the introduction of this car, I am certain there will be more Hyundais on the road. The car inspires confidence in the overall appearance, both exterior and interior and the warranty backs that confidence up.

I have looked for a new vehicle for over a year. I checked out every new car in the range and all lacked something. The Azera has room, performance, class, and style. I love the pass thru rear seats. Went on a ski trip and was able to lay skis inside (my skis are a long 203CM). I felt complete control of the car on steep, wet, and winding roads in the mountains. Also got about 27 MPG on the highway. 18 MPG in city. Car is a definite winner.

I was looking for a comfortable cruiser. It fits the bill as far as thats concerned. Very comfortable with impeccable fit and finish and the plastics used are first class with a very nice feel. Got the loaded limited. I had to have all the gadgets!. The leather is soft and supple. The interior ambience is classy and soothing. Has nice touches everywhere on and in the car and the heated seats work great. The wind deflector on the sunfoof is very noisy at speeds. Not impressed with the fuel economy so far averaging 18.5mpg. (The computer is way over optimistic in that respect informing me its 22!) Like the fact it uses 87 octane though. My first Hyundai. I like it

Spent 3 weeks reading reviews and shopping before I decided this was the right car for our needs. We're both tall (I'm 6'4"), and this car had plenty of room, all the right options and the price was certainly more attractive than the Avalon Limited we'd previously decided on. Ok, so there's no NAV, and no ventilated seats. I've lived without them, and they aren't worth the extra $10K Toyota wanted to include them.

Only complaint is inability to turn off the information display on dashboard. Don't need to see this information constantly or as brightly. Very impressed with fit and finish. Accessories for hyundai's "flagship" are very limited. Wanted all weather floor mats, not available. Car itself is outstanding. Compares very well against Accord or Camry. Was going to buy Sonata, test drive of Azera was all it took to change my mind. Highly recommended.

Handles nicely, power when you need it. I am a big person and found the interior very roomy both getting in with easy, and although it is a center console, I found seating roomy. Haven't taken a long trip yet to see how fuel efficient it is on the highway, perhaps this weekend. My wife was glad to get away from premium fuel. Bought the extended bumper to bumper warranty, so now I have a 10 year plus the dealer is a short drive from us. I got tired trying to deal with american car sales people, seemed to greedy. I have owned the Azera for one month, and driving it has been a pleasure. It performs smoothly and is extremely responsive, It is not a sporty car in that its suspension is not tuned for sharp turns. It performs more along the lines of a touring car. Curiously men seem to appreciate the car's elegance, while most women are lukewarm to it initially. There is a lot of brand snobbery, yet I think anyone who experiences this vehicle should have no problem seeing that this car is on par with the Avalon, Passat, Lucerne, maxima, and ES330. Hopefully time will prove this to be one of the better cars on the road today.

I can afford almost any normal car. I saw the 350 at an auto show a year ago and was prepaired to buy one in August. The dealer had several on the lot but made sure I knew a whole new version was coming out in the Fall, which was nice. I waited-actually until 12/13 for the first one to come in. The Azera was 50%+ better in all respects than the 350. Without the closeout discounts it costs $5000+ more than the 350, but worth it: performance features, size, looks. My co-workers (Lexus, BMW, Mercedes types) sneered when I said I was getting a Hyundai, But have shut-up as soon as they saw the Azera in person. I paid 5% less than sticker and think the car is grat AND a bargain.

The way this car rides so just so smooth if it where any smoother I'd fall a sleep. It is the ultimate ride, the handling is just awsome, when you go around big corner, it holds nice and tight. I just can't believe it, Hyundai has really shown to me how really nice of a car they can offer for such little money. Everyone must drive this car, before making there next buying decision.. once you drive you will want to own the Azera.

Hyundai will be a major powerhouse in the US. No one can come close to their warranty and will attract many to this luxurious sedan. This is a taste of what to expect from Hyundai will be showing to the American market. They will be debuting a luxury brand to compete with Toyota. The Equus (which is the top-of-the-line in Korea) will coming here soon and many people it's better than a LS400...the redesign of that car will be coming soon. When Hyundai built this one, the CEO of Hyundai ordered Hyundai motor vehicle division to create a model that will beat specifically the Lexus ES330 to continue their main goal to beat America's number one selling car company. After taking a test drive, this vehicle really convinced me to purchase. I realized that they've done it!! It was out performing other Japanese or German rivals at its class. Its cabin was quite as a Mercedes S class. An out standing vehicle from Hyundai!!! What they were saying on TV ads were TRUE.

Not One of Those Old Hyundai's

I Love This Car. If Hyundai weren't on this car, you would have no idea. I Have to say, i traded in my '04 Maxima for this car, and the azera is way faster and more responsive, and quieter! It shifts smooth, i remember testing the Kia Amanti, and i thought it was nice, but no comparison to the Azera. My Very First car was a 1994 Hyundai Elantra, and it started to make noises a few days after i bought it, but not with this car. I've only had this car about 20 days, and it already has 3694 miles on it and no problems or noises.

Wow! It's a Hyundai

I have had the Azera for a week, but I can say that it is one of the best cars I have every driven. I have driven Lexus, Infiniti, Mercedes, Lincoln, and the quality of ride is comparable and in many cases better. The car is solid. It handles well, accelerates well and never feels like it is being put upon when driving up hill or whisking down a busy interstate during a heavy rain. If you choose this car, you'll won't be sorry. It is not a sport sedan. I would place it in the category of a touring sedan. It has power and subtle elegane. Way to go Hyundai!

I expected more for the price!!!

I was really looking forward to this model coming out but must say that I am now disappointed in the overall package. Paid MSRP which is a crime itself but I was eager to buy. So far gas mileage is a dismal 19 mpg city/hwy mix. Suspension is flimsy and floaty, doesn't handle corners very well. I should have paid a little extra and bought a TL instead. Live and learn, live and learn.

Hyundai takes no prisoners

Was lucky to get the Azera, the car is remarkable in that it has solid performance couple with subtle elegance; yet, it is less than 30,000 fully loaded. It can easly compete with some of the lower end luxury cars and it is arguable the best of this year's near luxury cars. I and those who see it have trouble believeing that it is a Hyundai. I hope that once the word gets out on the Azera that Hyundai will receive the respect that it has truly worked for.
