2006 TSX - Well Designed/ Solid/Reliable Vehicle

I have a 2006 TSX that I bought with 92,000 miles and it is still running strong at 145,000 miles. The only repairs I have made on the car were the alternator, passenger door lock actuator, idler pulley & seized rear brake caliper. It drives nice, accelerates decently for a 4-cylinder and has almost no rattles or squeaks for it's age and mileage. I would definitely recommend this vehicle as a used car if you can find someone who maintained it well. The original Michelin MXM4 tires are worth the extra cash as they match perfectly with the car's handling abilities (wet or dry). I wish the HID headlights were made of glass as the plastic fades into a ugly haze. The leather seats are in perfect condition and the interior hardware has held up nicely. The Bluetooth phone feature doesn't work as well as newer cars and I have difficulty consistently connecting to my phone. Other than that it's a fantastic car and I really love everything about it.

Great Value for the $ - and awesome 6 speed man

This car has so many pluses - handles great, bullet proof engine/transmission, a 6 speed manual shifter that is a gem. Short throw shifts - get it in the max torque band of 4000 RPM and it won't disappoint! Don't get me wrong, it's not a turbo-charged or straight 6 - 3 series, but it is priced accordingly, so please stop with the comparisons. Absolutely nothing has failed on it - the only things that have been done so far are brakes, tires, and oil changes (try that on your BMW). Do yourself a favor and install a high flow air filter, as it does make a noticeable difference. I have found the mileage to be on the high side, with no problem getting over 30 mpg on highway trips doing 70-75. Controls are very simple, but navigation is poor by yesterday's standards.

TSX is a very Reliable & Solid Used Vehicle

I bought my 2006 TSX with 92,000 miles in 2013 and I now have 140,000 on the odometer. I have only replaced the alternator and one door lock actuator during this time. I put a new battery, tires and new brakes/rotors on it. It would be an excellent used car for someone who is looking for reliability, sportiness, safety and comfort. At 140,000 it has no rattles or squeaks, the interior hardware has held up nicely. The leather seats are in almost perfect condition. The paint has held up even though it is parked outside in the Texas sun. The struts are original and the starter is original.

This car was purchased second hand with approximately 15,000 miles near model year end. It has provided dependable transportation around towns and on the highway and has had no major issues other than replacing the battery. I would highly recommend this vehicle to anyone!

My 2006 TSX has just turned 10 years old with 160,000 miles. The only repair has been the replacement of one fuse. Still have original brakes. My only complaint is that the controls are not particularly intuitive and blue tooth is old tech to set up. Also the CD player doesn't show the track times. Otherwise this car does everything better than good. Not a rattle or squeak. If you need a reliable used car - this is the one to get.

During a recent snowstorm which rendered the roads sheet ice, my 6 speed manual with VSA was the only car making it up the icy hills. For a 10 year old car, it performed like a champ. I've driven mostly Honda and Acura products and will continue to buy them but am very sad to see that manual transmissions are becoming harder to find in new Acuras. Sadly I may have to get an x drive 3 series BMW for my next car.

Want a great car , buy one.

Bought my 2006 TSX in 2009, was pre-loved. Was a great upgrade from my Mazda6, the car was very reliable basically a Honda in a different skin all the way around. Nice car I would seriously have trusted it to go AT LEAST till 200k. But I took a friend to buy a new car.. a BMW... and ended up trading it in for one also. By far a great safe car. Love the standard bluetooth in a 2006! And all the standard features vs not so standard on bmw :(

Purchased this car new for my wife at Christmas in 2005. Did the bow thing. It has made us smile every day since. We just finally traded it in with 86,000 miles on it and it was still a very awesome car that gave me an ear to ear grin. This is a car that performed excellent. i felt I could drive it to its limit on backroads and still be comfortable and not in fear of my life. The tech package was great for late 2005. And the touch screen interface easy to navigate. We only traded it because our kids are about 6 years from driving now and we had to consider that we weren't going to keep it 12 years, and we weren't going to let the kids drive a new car. Planning is everything.

I love my 2006 Acura Tsx. I purchased my car at Mac Churchill Acura in Fort Worth. I have been very happy since my purchase and services rendered at this car dealership. Since then my family and friends now own Acuras , a total of 7 Acuras all to each ones needs. Very grateful and appreciative. Thanks Mac Churchill Acura from all of us!

We recently replaced my wife's 2006 Accord EX-L coupe with a 2006 TSX. The Accord was a gem, but it was difficult for passengers to get in and out of the back seat of the coupe, so when this TSX came along with less than half the mileage on it (24,000), I bought it for her. There were, as they say, no flies on that Accord, but the TSX just does everything a little bit better: 25% more power from the same basic engine, bigger brakes, a better grade of leather, upgraded sound system. Also, the TSX feels *eager* at any speed. My old Lexus (2004 ES330) has some nicer convenience features and is roomier -- really not a bad car at all -- but is nowhere near as much fun to drive.

Buy it! You won't be disappointed!

We bought this car used the summer of 2010. It had about 43K on it. It was totaled last week with 84 K on it. We never had a problem with the car. We did the standard maintenance and never had to think about it. The car wrecked well. I was rear ended by a large truck traveling at a high speed. I walked away from the wreck with a broken nose saying that I wanted another Acura. The impact shifted the car off the frame so badly that the plastic components on the inside popped off; however, the passenger compartment stayed intact. It doesn't matter how a car looks or even if it has a good repair history--what matters is will you walk away from a high-impact wreck.

I had a tsx for 1 year i had never had a problem besides wear and tear like brakes and tires. I work at a used car dealer myself where i get to drive all the similar vehicles like 3 series the Lexus Is and decided to go the Acura route because of the maintenance and better gas millage would recommend to anyone thinking about getting a 2010 model

Would Not Buy It Again

I bought my TSX in 2006 and started having problems about a year later. It needed to have major work done on the steering twice. Both times the car was at the dealer for over a week. Just glad it was still under warranty and the dealer gave me a loaner. Also, I have had to replace the brakes more times on my TSX than I have ever had to on any other car. The TSX has a cheap build quality and the paint scratches easily. Also, there is a lot of road noise. On the plus side, the dealer service staff is great.

TSX is the best all around value in the entry level luxury segment or maybe in any segment. After 21,000 miles in one year and 49,500 total there is not a squeak or rattle. I average 31-33 mpg highway w/ Mobil 1 synthetic oil. Service cost is low especially if you change filters yourself (simple). Road noise is muted. Super quiet engine. Headlights are very bright with wide illumination. Low insurance costs. This is my second TSX.

Approaching 100k.Recently had the brakes done and new tires (oem)put on the car,it feels as new as the day it rolled off the dealer's lot.The controls still feel like they were dipped in butter. The clean, classic lines and overall styling of this car remains relevant. The car suffers from a lack of low-end torque & poor acceleration from a dead stop. Acura missed a golden opportunity to remedy this by not offering a turbo I4 (like the RDX) and thus maintaining the "agile/light/tossable" personality of this car. Test drove the new TSX and did not like the numb steering & dull interior ,may consider other options like the IS 350 AWD (increase HP, AT dual shift capability,heated/cooled seats, etc.

95,000 miles and original brake pads still servicable, although rotors must be warped a little as the car has begun to shudder under braking from highway speeds. Car has recently developed a strange whine at times from the rear end(?) but only when backing up. These are the only issues this car has had in the 4 1/2 years we've owned it.

Honda (and Acura) vehicles have always felt like 'home' to me. I had been away for awhile but when I decided to get a new car last summer, I chose the TSX. I don't think you can buy a better looking, driving, or better equipped car for the money. The car has nearly everything I could want in features, the handling is very nimble, it is supremely comfortable on long or short trips, I really like the interior and exterior styling. The torque off the line is a little low but when you get the engine in 'the zone' it pulls hard. The navi system is great, the best part is that it's a Honda at heart and should run forever. My car as 53K miles on it and it still looks, feels, and even smells new.

I recently purchased a used 2006 TSX, trading in my 2005 Nissan Altima. My initial impressions are that the build quality is very good, I'm actually getting better gas mileage than the 4cyl Nissan engine, and the car is fun to drive. There are a few convenience features that the Altima had that the TSX strangely are lacking. Kinda weird you can't view total mileage and outside temp at the same time. Have to hit the unlock button to open drivers side door, and the sunroof controls are in a crazy place. I still find myself reaching up to open the sunroof only to realize the button is down on the bottom side of the dash. No auto headlights?

When looking for a practical yet sport sedan for under $30k there is simply nothing better. You can't beat Acura reliability not to mention this car is a lot of fun on the highway. Couple this with the almost 30mpg I am averaging and this makes for the best car for under $30k. Also, I currently have 70k miles on this car and haven't spent a penny on it, aside from routine maintenance (oil changes, etc)

Looked at BMW and Lexus before realizing this was the best for far less. Car is amazing on gas and have achieved 35mpg highway going to Massachusetts. Everything works great and performs well. Put on snow tires for it and does very well in slippery conditions. Great car for a kid or commuter or simply around town. Would recommend to anyone. Son is buying mine and i will be getting another one.

This has to be the best 4 cylinder engine on the market, it is phenomenal. You can really motor in this car. I use mainly on the highways to go back and forth to work and its a great commuting car. Its a small car, but very comfortable on the inside even for someone 6 feet tall like me. The gas mileage is great, I average 30 miles on the highway. All the features on the car are standard, Navigation is the only option which makes life a lot easier. Best car for $30K on the market.

I absolutely love this car. I have only had it 4 months, but I could not be happier. It drives like a dream, much sportier IMO than the TL and is just as comfortable. I love the exterior and interior styling. I drove both the TL and TSX and picked the TSX as it was more familiar to me coming from an Integra and was a bit cheaper with better gas mileage. I made the right choice for me. I do wish the gas mileage was a bit better around town. Kinda low for a 4cyl.

My friend got a Chevrolet Cobalt LT a year before I got an Acura and my Acura has had more problems and has been in the shop more than her Cobalt!!!! This really is not a Premium quality car!!

I got this car used for almost a year now and I must say the TSX has so much to offer. It came with VSA, ABS, a great engine that produces 205 hp, very low insurance rates, 3 garage door openers on the top of the car next to the lights (Don't know what feature it's called LOL), Leather seats, very great comfort. I averaged 25 - 27 miles per gallon for the first 3 months because I did not realize the TSX uses Premium unleaded (90) and I have been refueling with Regular Unleaded (87) fuel. It now averages well between 29 - 33 mpg 50/50 city/highway (Phew). I never had any problems with the TSX so far, only had to change oil once 7 months after I got the car. Have not drove in snow yet.

I have been driving this car for 3.5 years. It is the best built car I have owned and is fun to drive. It has been trouble free, is very well equipped and gets excellent mileage. On a recent 375 mile highway trip I topped out gas mileage at 37.4. I average a 22.4 city driving. The reliability of bluetooth depends on the quality of your phone. I have had 3 phones since I purchased the car. The cheap free Verizon Samsung worked horribly. It works great with iPhone. The suspension is very stiff and gives a harsh ride on bumpy road, but handles amazingly well. Very relaxing to drive on long trips.

Best bang for your buck!

Car comes standard with many bells and whistles. Convenient seat memory buttons for two different settings. Bought car new in 2006 and paint seems to be cheap...deeply pitted on front bumper and hood, as well as chipped on back of car. Seems to get decent gas mileage and comfortable drive. Not great in the snow. Very poor voice recognition with the hands free. People I've tried to talk to using hands free say it sounds like someone's banging cans in the background. More aggravation than it's worth and may as well not even have the function.

Have owned 3 years now, so I feel like I can give an accurate review of the TSX. This car is very well designed, and is a great value. I don't think there are any cars that offer the same value at this price point. Sporty, upscale, and reliable, all in one. I love that all the features are standard. The design of the cabin is great, and the dash looks awesome. I have had 0 issues with my car. I get fabulous gas mileage. Was expecting to get 21/25. That is what I get if I drive the car hard. If I take it easy, I can get about 26/32. Recommend this car strongly.

I have never been happier with a vehicle, and will be keeping this vehicle long term. I get great mileage with the vehicle, ranging from 26 MPG city 30 Highway in the winter, and 29 city 33 Highway in the summer. The car has as much get up and go as I will ever need. The handling is simply outstanding. The only complaints I have with the vehicle is the console doesn't provide enough leg room for the right leg, and gets uncomfortable on long trips. It needs a visor extender on the driver side also.

I love my TSX

Great everything! Handles well, great MPG, no complaints whatsoever. Everything about the car is just what it needs to be right down from the great quality leather seats to the blue nighttime light that lights up the center console. Best thing about it is, everything you need comes standard.

I got this car in 2006 and until now regret it every single day. This is the loudest car I have ever driven. The body was built very lousy that you can hear wind noise, road noise and just about everything else OUTSIDE of the car. When talking to the people in the back seat, I literally have to YELL every time. Windshield very thin, cracked and got replaced 2 times (with original Acura windshield). Watch out for the speaker, the first 2 months it sounded great but gone down so fast and I turned to hate listen to music while I'm driving. The worst part is about to come, if you purchase this car, be aware that you will lose about 12K once you want to trade it in.

I bought this car in April 06, and really cannot complain about its performance and reliability. My previous car was a 2001 Volvo S40 with all the bells and whistles, however, it completely died at 18K miles. I have test driven many other vehicles in its class and the TSX is by far the best out there. It looks sharp with the ground effects kit which I have by the way and the car is loaded. When you add up these features with other cars, you are looking at at least $40K when all done and said (with BMW, MB, Lexus, etc). Maybe these other cars may have a more powerful engine, but I probably can smoke 'em on a long haul! The TSX also has a good resale value... no plans on selling or trading up!

Best deal for the money!

The TSX has so much to offer. Awesome HID headlights; heated, power-adjustable driver and passenger sport seats with driver's memory; leather upholstery; an eight-speaker, 360-watt audio system with XM satellite radio and an in-dash CD changer; dual-zone automatic climate control; and a sunroof; ALL standard! Interior is laid out nicely; lots of safety features including stability control and side curtain airbags; 205 hp engine that is fairly quiet but gets up and goes when needed; decent gas mileage (I average 25 mostly city driving); easy to park and handles well; Honda reliability. Exterior styling is a bit bland but it's nice not to see another TSX often like the Accords :)

I loved the car when I first bought it, but two years later, I am looking to get rid of it. The interior road noise is louder than my truck. The wipers were very streaky from the day I bought the car. The car does not handle well in snow. My leather seats are already wearing out. I drive over 60 miles a day and every day I grow to dislike it a little more. The gas mileage when when I frist bought it averaged between 30-32 MPG, now I am lucky if I can get over 25 MPG. My seats take forever to heat up now, at first they were HOT in a flash. On the plus side, Acura DOES give a lot of options for the money. Very sporty and fun!

The 6-speed manual is very smooth shifting. All of the controls are right where I expect them to be. I never have to reach far for anything. Bluetooth hands free connection built into the car. This is a great feature for anyone who drives a manual. I can now answer or make a phone call without ever having to remove my left hand from the steering wheel or my right hand from the shifter.

I have had my 06 TSX for over a year, it is my first car and it is simply amazing. This car is definitely the definition for "bang for the buck" without a doubt. I love the body style, the interior, and the performance everything is great. I seem to go through a lot of gas, but other than that, if the body doesn't get ugly in the over the next year or two, I am going to get a new TSX once my lease is over!!!

I recently purchased this vehicle as a Acura Certified Pre-owned. The owner before me took exceptional care of the car and now I feel like I'm driving a brand new car! I recently had a 2006 MINI Cooper S, which was fun and sporty, but did not have nearly as many bells and whistles as the TSX. When I unexpectedly found myself in the market for a new vehicle, I had no idea what I wanted. I test drove the Audi A4, the Volvo S40, the Mercedes C230, and were all nice to drive. But I wouldn't have been able to afford all of the features TSX already has. All of my research indicated this car was the most reliable, has the best resale value, and the best bang for the buck. Style and practical!

Those who say this car is underpowered are either comparing it to true sports cars or they're driving the automatic. This is a sedan. It's not meant to break any quarter-mile speed records. For what it is, it is quite sporty. The 6-speed manual is great. The gears are crisp, it accelerates well and you can't beat the features for the price.

It's mother is a Honda Accord (European size), it's father I'd swear was a BMW 3-series (last model). This car gives you the best of Japan along with the handling of Germany. You can't beat it for the price. My favorite car out of the ten I've owned including my BMW 3 series, Infiniti Q45 and Nissan Maxima. I can't wait to see what they do with the next generation. This is my second Acura and I'm sold on the brand.

7 months into my ownership and I still wake up each and every morning with a smile on my face. I have a 35-mile commute to work and this car has been reliably fun to drive. Under the hood, you will find an engine that has a lot of potential and yearns to purr. Whenever I step out of my car, I always have this look of reluctance. If you get that look on your face after test-driving the tsx, then you'll know exactly what I mean. If you don't and decide not to purchase a tsx, then THANK YOU! Unlike the TL, TSX is a rare breed in my code and I'd prefer the status quo remains. >)

This is my third Acura. The car just feels solid and has great safety features. It's fun to drive, feels just like what you would want out of a sports car mixed perfectly with a luxury ride. I had the RSX type S before this, and I lost absolutely no engine power, and the braking system is amazing, the car really stops on a dime. I can say nothing bad about this car. The electronics are great, especially the information screen in the dash board. It tells you exactly what you need to know! I always installed aftermarket stereos in my car, and felt no need to do that in this car! Great comfort and fun!

This is a stylish, fun to drive sports sedan. Sure you can get the excellent TL, but if you don't need the size, this car makes a lot of sense. The TL is based on the American built Accord. The TSX is a J built sedan made for the Autobahn. I recently packed it with 4 adults and all their luggage for a weekend. There was plenty of room and plenty of power. I average 28 MPG. In my book the 6 speed manual transmission is a must. The revy 4cyl loves to go to redline. This is a true driver's car.

I got this car last year for my graduation present, and I must say that I love my car. I used to drive a 2003 Acura TL and switching to this was "bittersweet." Going from 3.2L to a 2.4L was a bit of a bummer. I noticed this especially on the interstate. The TSX had a much more fun sport shift mode (hearing the engine switch gears). But the seats in the 03 TL were much more softer. This car is fun fun fun to drive in the city. The dash has a very simple design with clean contour lines. I love how the backseats fold down for me to put my band equipment. But I do not love how it is difficult to get change out of the change cubby when the car is parked because the shifter is in the way.

Found a new 2006 model in February and glad I did. My last three cars have been: 2005 Saab 9-3, 2003 MINI Cooper and 1997 Audi A4. Overall, the TSX outclasses them all. Handling is on par with the A4, comfort is comparable to the 9-3, and it's as fun to drive as the MINI. All this and Acura's reputation for quality and reliability, and a price thousands less than its European and Japanese competitors with every feature standard. Anyone looking for a sports sedan needs to seriously consider the TSX.

I was in market for a 4 cylinder vehicle that would provide the get and go power, as well as better gas mileage in comparison to my 2004 Honda Odyssey. I first test drove the 4 cylinder Honda Accord, but found the TSX handled better, had a smoother more comfortable ride, more horsepower and better standard equipment.

I've had the car for 9 months, and it is hands down the best car I have ever owned. I prefer it over even my father's Cadillac STS, which I drive often, although, not as often as I used to. It handles like a sports car, with the room and comfort of a luxury auto. Shifting back and forth from automatic to manual allows for some fun, but spares the pain of using a clutch in the city. It has the best of both worlds, with awesome acceleration and great fuel economy... and this from a four cylinder engine. I couldn't be happier.

The TSX is an all-around decent car, but not best in show in any category. The TSX has a high revving low torque engine, and as a result the gears are too close together causing frequent shifting at low speeds, and high rpms at highway speeds. I find the seats quite uncomfortable and hard to get adjusted. The navi system works, but the data that comes with it is sorely lacking. It only uses validated roads for plotting routes and often takes you miles out of your way. It tells me I can drive straight to a Conoco station from my house. We don't have Conoco stations in Canada, and the road it tells me to use has been closed for over 30 years.

I am a self proclaimed car-snob and the only vehicle that met all my criteria was a Honda CR-V but I couldn’t bring myself to buy it (I’m terrible, I know it). I continued looking and was dead set on something reliable and an SUV because I had a Land Rover (hence, looking for something more reliable…) and I didn’t want to sacrifice the height or the AWD. While this car doesn’t have AWD, I realized I only drive in the snow 5 - 7 days a year – and honestly, if it’s that bad outside, what are you doing out on the roads? After endless back-and-forth, I chose between the car I can afford and the car I would like to be seen driving.

I have owned many 4 cyl cars in the past 33 years. The TSX is a sport sedan that is the fun to drive every day. I have read all the reviews about TSX needing more horsepower, for what reason! My wife (Mich) grew up driving V-8s and V-6s; she said the TSX is the fastest car she has ever driven and her first manual shift. Check out the top ten cars on the residual value list. I am happy TSX does not suit everyone taste.

Tested 325, C230, IS 250 and settled on the TSX. The vtec-4 engine is as smooth and strong as the competitors' V6 or I6. Handling wise, TSX's FWD gave little away to RWD rivals under regular street driving . While the base prices are in the same range, by the time you spec up to match the TSX (leather, cd changer, xeon, 17" wheel) you are looking at something like $10k higher, so for me it was an easy decision. Only negative I have is with blind spots. The thick front A-pillar, steeply raked windshield, and high trunk lid all make it hard for my wife (5'4") to drive and park in tight spots. Granted this is not unique to TSX as the IS is as bad if not worse.

The TSX is a sweet ride. I was feeling a tad bit old when I started to consider a 4 door sedan... but you can't even tell that it is a 4 door when you are driving it. It hugs the exit ramps so close to the inside line and it is very diificult to lose control of this vehicle. The interior is sporty (I have quartz leather with brushed nickle finish) and easy to maintain. I hate that I have to sell this car to take over a company car - I won't say the name but that, my friends, is a car I guarantee I will notice the four doors.

As a sales rep with a fairly large territory, I will put approximately 25,000 miles on the TSX this year. I would like a little more pep from the engine, but I'm very satisfied with the fuel economy. Handling is superb, and the automatic transmission in manual mode delivers very satisfying performance on winding roads. The interior is very comfortable (although I'd like a little more drama), and the stereo is simply incredible. The exterior styling is a little too BMW-like, but it's still very easy on the eyes. With nearly 25,000 miles on the car already, I've had no problems - none. And now with the posted highest resale value for a sedan, I know that I made an excellent choice.

The TSX displays a marvelous balance between smooth power delivery, sure-footed handling, braking, responsive steering, and comfort; this balance is what makes the TSX fun to drive. Besides fun, it comes loaded with just about every feature standard, provides high reliability, and low TCO for a luxury car. The TSX automatic model is powerful enough for spirited driving on streets, twisting roads, and freeways. SportShift mode helps compensate for the TSX's low torque at low RPM. I find SportShift a viable option to a manual shift. TSX is more fun than the TL. Gas mileage: 19+/32+ MPG city/country. Experience: Manual Acura Legend, Lexus ES300 and LS400, Manual BMW 3.0S, BMW 540, BMW 740.

I have had my 2006 TSX 6 sp manual for two months. I immediately noticed a problem with quality of the radio reception for FM stations that are based in my city, as well as for XM stations. Basically, if you get into areas of high voltage you either lose the signal (XM) or it becomes staticky (FM). My dealership told me there was nothing wrong with the reception and that that was how all the TSXs were. They gave me a loaner car to use and I noticed the same problem with reception on that car. I have owned 6 or 7 cars including other Acura and Hondas, but I have never experienced the such poor radio reception, which I consider a basic amenity, especially for a car in this price range.

Let me just say, I'm very happy with the decision I made to buy this car. The styling is nice, great interior, comfort, built in technology including blue tooth. I just drove from Minneapolis to Nashville (long story) and got 31.7 mpg. That is very impressive in my opinion. I compared this car to the BMW 3 series but was concerned about reliability as per consumer reports. The BMW is a very nice car, in fact maybe a better "drivers" car but the value and reliability of the TSX couldn't be topped. One negative - stiff suspension makes it bumpy

I searched high & low before purchasing a vehicle. The Acura TSX was an excellent choice! I drove a Honda Accord before, so there was not much of a transition needed to adjust to the Acura except that it has more power & get-up beneath the hood. I just love driving it! It's great on gas. In town & on the highway, the performance is fabulous! This car is a nice way to get a taste of luxury for a fraction of the price.

It's very easy to maneuver. It always give you more power when you need it. It's quiet. The only thing I did not like is that it feels hard on the road. It's not smooth. Overall it is a good car.The visor is wide enough that it protects me from the glare unlike the other cars I had. I had to buy an extender. You see I am on the short side.

Great car. Had an 04 Accord EX 2-door before my TSX. I was afraid they would be very similar - I was wrong. The TSX has a better ride, handling and even though I felt like I got more power out of my manual Accord, the automatic TSX does have a little more horsepower. Comparing the TSX to like cars for the same price - the TSX offers way more options and features. No comparison.

Sophistication.

I've only had my TSX for 4 days and I am totally in love with it. The handling and pickup are perfect for me. The features that come with this car can not be beat for the price. You can not go wrong on this. I also love the fact that I dont see a "million" of them on road compared to my last car, an 05 accord. Everything is awesome about the TSX.

After 1 ½ months of ownership, I still jump at any excuse/reason to take it out. The TSX is the top rated sedan for residual value after 5 years (per Edmunds.com article “Top 10 Cars With the Best Residual Value”) and it’s also a Consumer Reports “Best Buy”. The TSX may not offer the best performance in any one category, but everything works together to create an ideal driving experience. Fuel efficiency, in mixed driving conditions (50/50 city/hwy), has averaged at 25 MPG. Braking performance is on par with generic (non premium) sedans. The factory sound system is marred by cheap and inefficient speakers that lack mid- range frequency response.

We purchased this car last November and recently completed a 4500 mile road trip, The gas mileage has held pretty steady at 29-32 mpg hwy and around 25-26 city/combined. The driver's seat has been replaced once due to a creak and this has appeared in the new seat (after about 4 months) - Acura will take care of it. The car has been totally reliable, fun to drive and lived up to expectation. And the nav system is one of those "never had before/never not have again" extras and served us well on our recent road trip.

Now that my TSX is 2 months old, I can write this. It's just superb in every way. Beautifully built and finished, not a hint of a squeak, rattle, moan or groan anywhere. The features/tech stuff are all awesome and work perfectly. The perforations in the leather keep my back cool, and the a/c is way cold. The stereo is excellent, the comfort is excellent, the engine and 5 speed auto tranny are flawless together. I can't think of anything not fully pleasing. I am fully confident that I made the right choice. I looked very carefully at the competitioni. The TSX smokes them all on value! Lastly, you can't tell is FWD, and you can't tell its a 4, that's praise!

I did a ton of research, read many reviews, still think I'm driving a different car than the rest of you out there. Best looking car in its class, inside and out. Best value for options included in base price. Looks like a luxury car however the body shell is just a tin Honda. Noticed rattles and squeaks after driving it for just one day. Very disappointed in the "extremely" abrupt reaction of the car when it hits the bumps on the road, and the rattles it is creating due to the harsh ride. I'd really like to return this car. All they need to do is add some sound proofing underneath and improve the way it handles normal road bumps, and this car would be a winner.

We bought the car for my wife, but I am finding myself driving it more and more. We bought the Carbon Gray Pearl, and it looked amazing in the sunlight (metalic flakes). We love the easy to use Navi., and the gas milage is awsome (30+ on hwy). The stereo is great and the XM option is very clear even in the TEXAS hill country. I test drove and priced the competition and could not have found a better value. I am adding the Hondata ECU Reflash for a little more power (will void warranty). Drove a friends with it and loved it (230 est. hp, faster that a 330, 250,or 2.0T). Voice everything is a nice feature to have when cruising the highway. Love evey minute behind the wheel.

The car is truly the best value in the segment IMO. Features per dollar and residual value are top notch! Two major contributors to my buying the car. The sporting character of this sedan continues to impress me. There's a real balance of Economy and Performance with the Engine. I know those two words don't normally go together, but I think they do in the TSX. Four cylinder fuel economy is a huge plus right now, but I feel good that there's enough power to go when I need to. Interstate power availability is more than adequate. For me, the size is just ideal. Compact enough to feel sporty, but roomy enough for four people to be comfortable, plus a fair amount of trunk space.

I test drove them each one for a weekend, and for the money you pay Acura is the best VALUE. My dealership gave me a great deal (no hassle on price), and tires for life. I buy a new vehicle about every year or two. This is my second TSX. I had an 05 model and just purchsed an 06. I love these cars. The ride in my 06 is somewhat smoother than the 05, and the bluetooth and ipod jack are a nice addition for 06 along with the 17" wheels and tires. If you want a semi- luxury car that is different from what most people drive with excellent fuel ecomony THIS IS YOUR CAR!!! On top of all that...it is a blast to drive. I never had to take my 05 to the dealership for anything but an oil change. Such a nice change from American made cars.

I was concerned that the 4 cylinder engine would be a negative, but it outperforms any 6 cylinder I've owned. The hidden bonus is I'm actually getting very close to EPA gas mileage numbers; a first. The manu-matic transmission feature is useful and good for keeping the revs in peak range, cornering and brake assist. I didn't think I would use this much, but actually prefer it over straight automatic. The handling is exceptional and I feel confident on the highway because it tracks so well. The TSX is 2 cars in one: quiet and refined or a drivers car when you want it to be.

Without question, I like this car more than any of those - by far. Excellent power to weight ratio, luxury features galore, excellent ride and build quality. After having my '97 Saturn SL totalled in an accident in May, I was going to get a Mercedes C class, but after I added all the "extras", I ended up with a $60,000 car! After researching other cars, a co-worker mentioned the TSX to me, as he has an '04 one, and said that everything I wanted in a car is standard on the TSX except the Navigation system, and it's 30,000 less than the Benz!! I love the way it rides, all the gadgets, and the way it looks! I just wished it got better gas mileage, especially since you have to use premium gas, and in this day and age, it's very close to $4 per gallon!

Have had 2006 TSX (Nighthawks) w/o NAV for over a month and love it! It has plenty of power for me to ride on busy DC Beltway with lots of fun. It is so nice to have everything (nice and yet useful) loaded in a package. Hands- free/Bluetooth works fantastic with my Motorola V600. Memorized seat positions allow my wife to drive on weekends without manually adjusting seat anymore. I am afraid she is abandoning her Odyssey for my TSX (kidding - Odyssey works great for the family). Sound system is excellent (still enjoy free XM for now - $15/mo seems worthwhile if you have long commute). Surprisingly the purchase experience was very pleasant (paid INVOICE PRICE exactly).

Coming off our modified Camaro Z28 my wife and I wanted something safe, reliable and roomy. We cross-shopped everything in this class and it came to the TSX, Accord and Passat. We went w/ the TSX because while not the fastest of the group it offered the most for our money. It comes standard with leather, heated seats, power seats, blue tooth wireless phone, auto. climate control, sunroof, xenon lights, 6-disc in dash CD and audio controls on the steering wheel. While you can get this stuff w/ the others, the Passat required an Auto. trans and another $6000 and the Accord just didn't have the features (xenon, bluetooth) the TSX had. Did I mention the 5-star crash tests?

Have had the TSX for three weeks. It is a most pleasant car to drive, better than the Volvo, MBZ, BMW and other cars we have had over the years. Good overall size, reasonable fuel economy, and the engine is excellent - can use a bit more low-end torque but is adequate - equals if not surpass many of the six cylinders. Steering is a little heavy and turning diameter is wide, with a somewhat firm ride. The interior is great; exterior is clean without overdoing anything. Overall an excellent value.

I have had this wonderful ride for 8 days now and always look forward in driving the TSX. The leather seats are comfy, dash board and radio controls easy to use (especially for a non- computer lover like myself), fit & finish tasteful, and a decent trunk size. We are a family of 4 and this is a nice size for us. Not too small, not too large of a car. We've had an Olds, Ford, Plymouth, Mitsubishi, Pontiac, and currently have a newer Chevy. This car beats them all no doubt - stylish, luxurious and sporty. I've had people say they love my Arctic Blue color, which is a color that's different. Manual hard to find but am happy with the automatic. Not many TSX's around, makes me stand out!!

Was debating between this and the TL. The TL is made in the US, the TSX in Japan. Had to think about fuel economy. The TSX's backseat folds down, the TL's does not. Price to consider. No MP3 plug in TL. Decided on the TSX and love it! Have had to take it in once since I bought it 6 weeks ago for a driver's seat that creaked when turning a corner - very annoying. The loaner car they gave me creaked worse than mine! A flaw in the design? They fixed mine and it's good as new (I told them to fix the loaner too!) Also have not been able to get the driver's seat as comfortable as my 2002 Accord was. Tons of positions, maybe it's me?

Get this car. The photos dont do it justice. Take it for a test drive.. It will change your mind. Every one I know loves this car. It is the best value around. Do you really need anymore power? This one does everything well, not just a few great like the BMW and AuDI.Silky smooth six speed buttery soft leather. Every one loves the XM and Voice navigation.

This shouldn't be sold as an Acura

Is this the best Acura can do to have a sedan under $30,000. Sure it still has Honda quality written all over it, but why would you take a car designed for Europe, as an Accord, an expect it to be suitable for our combined style of driving here. The engine fit, is the worst I've ever expeienced in a Honda product. Absolutely torqueless and screaming the rpms to take advantage of the 200hp Honda claims it has, doesn't work for normal use. The car really doesn't even ride as well as the Accord with the 4cyl, let alone the 6cyl.The Integra was 10x more fun to drive.

I had a 2005 Toyota Corolla S before this car. It was an alright car, but handling was horrible & was a complete rattle box. My friend had bought the TSX when it first came out. It was love at first sight, I just had to have it. The car is EXCELLENT, hugs the road, sound system could be better but still great, my arctic blue exterior has everyone staring as I drive down the street..I just love this car.

When compared against Volvo S40/S60, Passat, A4, BMW, Saab S3, and Pontiac G6, all with comparable $25-$30k price tag, HP and Mileage, the TSX is superior in nearly every category. Excellent interior and exterior fit/finish. Clean/crisp dash layout and display options. Am getting 34-37 mpg highway, and 22-26 in town. Love the way the car handles and I am sure it will last forever, given my track record with hondas over the last 15 years. Typical honda low RPM performance - need to get it up over 3-3.5k rpm before it starts pushing you in your seat. I am very pleased with the car, and would recommend to all my friends! One of the best kept secrets in its class.

I had a 04 5AT + Navi TSX. I was xtremely disatisfied with the 5AT performance. The car just felt sluggish...when I wanted to pass a speeding car on the highway. Hence, my decision to trade in for 06 MT + Navi. I love the way Honda has configured the gear ratios. It gives a better acceleration + drop down 1 or 2 gears and it rewards u with peak performance (vtec points reached easily on every gear). I decided to stay with TSX for its Honda reliability, interior design and one of the best 6 spd gear box in the market. The car is rated top 10 in car and driver magazine (the kick is - ONLY MT are test driven and reviewed). TSX only lacks power + torque..but it is a natural breathing engine.

I was in the market for a new car, my wonderful honda prelude aproaching 300,000 miles. I decided on the TSX after driving BMW, Audi, Lexus. The combination of Price, features, economy and RELIABILTY were unbeatable. The 4 cylinder is strong enough to get the job done. The navigation seems extravagant until you need it. The more I drive it , the more I like it.

I sold my 01' Lexus ES300 and before I sold it I thought, "What car am I going to buy that could possibly compare with my ES?" Well, that question has been answered, the 06' TSX. This car is simply fabulous. The part I like best about this car is the simplistic maintenance. I'm a freak when it comes to that and any fluid that might need to be changed is mearly a bolt away. I love the engine, LOVE IT!! My wife loves the way the car looks. I feel this is the best kept secret in cars today. I don't know why people overlook it. I think people who are shopping for an Acura are looking at the TL or possibly the RSX. They are making a big mistake. Look at the TSX, you'll fallin love like I did.

I checked out the vw passat, gti, jetta, audi A3, bmw 3series, ford mustang gt, lexus is250, infiniti g35, nissan maxima, saab 9-3, and the volvo s40. nothing and I mean nothing in this price range will give you the value and features of the TSX!!! Bluetooth, navi w/ voice recognition, memory seats, xm radio (you'll never listen to regular radio again), mood lighting, dual exhaust, hid headlights, power heated leather seats, heated mirrors, dual zone climate control, and above all else, Honda/Acura reliabilty. Try all the others, but if you want reliability, value, and standard premium features. Buy TSX!

This is my 3rd consecutive new Honda product, the last being an '03 Acura RSX Type S. We outgrew the RSX and were seriously considering the A4 and IS250 because we wanted RWD or AWD. We only went to the Acura dealership to find out the balance oweing on the RSX. We were sweet-talked into a test drive and our decision was made, we just had to pick a colour. I really can't understand how one could rationalize purchasing one of the TSX's competitors, unless it was CRITICAL that they had AWD or that it be German. This car is beautiful, performs well, extremely well equipped and is as comfortable as the Waldorf. A++++ to Acura for the '06 TSX. I can't imagine ever growing tired of it.

This car is so much fun to drive, I just love it. I had an RSX for three yrs. prior to this car and all I can say is you can't beat an Acura. The Navi is lots of fun (it is impossible to get lost!) the audio system "bumps" and I love the in-dash changer! The dash is beautifully illuminated at night..all controls are right at your fingertips. I was always afraid a 4- door would make me old or at least feel old, but not this car. This car is sporty and super cool too! The value for the money is beyond amazing! This car does everything but drive itself, and thank goodness for that, 'cuz driving it is sooo much fun!

I'm glad I checked out the Acura web site before I purchased a car. I wanted to stick in my budget and yet get a luxury car with Navigation, Bluetooth, Aux for iPod, Xenon lamps, voice activation, and good looking exterior and interior. I thought, yeah right. I test drove a used Lexus GS300, I wasn't impressed at all. I drove a BMW 325i, excellent car, but way above my budget with what I wanted on it (the options add up quickly). I drove a Honda Accura, which impresed me, but no bluetooth and Navitation system wasn't that impressive. When I saw the TSX I couldn't believe my eyes. I got everything I wanted in a car, with Chrome wheels and tinted windows below $30K. Can't compete with that.

I look at other cars in this class namely BMW, Mercedes but cannot do RWD due to winters here in Utah and was even considering getting a 2006 Acura TL but I did a back to back test drive of the TSX and fell in love with it. I felt it was the right size for me and my wife, had excellent all around visibility, luv the exterior handsome styling (everywhere I go it turns heads), Navi with voice command was awesome and nice to have, excellent quick precise steering and feel of the road.Good and responsive power delivery from the smooth revving engine with buttery smooth tranny especially going up the hill (sport shift mode was a joy to use)…..overall this car is a smooth and fun to drive machine.

The car is very fun to drive and noticibly more rooms than the 2006 IS250 or 350. I put a lot miles in one year. However, the car has a lot road noise and high vibration. And some parts start to rattle after a couple month. A high end car shouldn't do that. Also the moonroof has some squeaks which the dealer said it was a common problem. Car is missing a couple features and the voice command doesn't really pick up the voice well due to road noise again. Overall, I give it an eight.

This is our second TSX. We leased a 2004 and when our three years were up we turned it in for an 06. The 04 was great but the 06 is even better. Many more features, better styling, better ride, handling is equal but the suttle improvements in the 06 sold me on another one. We have never had two of the same cars. It feels like a different car. I think it's more solid and quieter than the 04. I thought about buying the 04 we liked it so well but after driving the 06 I had to get it. Most car for the money hands down. No comparisons that I'm aware of. Our 04 was absolutely trouble free. Try it, you'll buy it and won't regret it.

I compared this car with the A4, Volvo, Lexus (Hit my head getting in & out), BMW, Infinity, the new low end Mercedes, Ford & Dodge. The A4 was leading the pack until I really checked out the TSX. It's quiet inside, reliabilty history, handling, gas milage (thought the gauge was broken on my first trip), ease to reach controls, sound system, standard equipment and look won me over. Handling is great. The Navigation system which I didn't think I needed is saving me milage and gas and making me more productive. After 20+ Fords, this car is refreshing.

I chose the TSX over, among others, Lexus I-250 and Infiniti G-35. Price was a concern, but not deciding. I eliminated CTS because of size. I wouldn't go back to a 6 after driving this 4. Great performance and fuel economy for this typr of vehicle. Great stereo and interior; not really a family car--can seat 4 easily, but 5 would be a stretch for any distance. I also favor low-front, low profile Acura styling. Lexus was a great vehicle also, but probably over $6,000 more expensive comparably equipped. The deal was quick and painless and I was treated fairly on the trade. If you just want a great car without the cachet and patina of a Lexus (at a much better price), this is the car

Just got the TSX 6sp and enjoy the drive after having a '95 Acura Integra. Great performance, handling and looks. Moderate gas mileage, however, as I expected above 30mpg, and seem to only get about 27mpg on highway. Just noticed significant squeaking in driver's seat, and saw another review on problem with seat rail. Anyone else experiencing problems with seats squeaking? Great car, great performance, and got a great price at my Acura dealership- below invoice. Buy this car, but look at seat noices as you test drive.

This truly is a sport sedan. A little of a rougher ride, but handles like a sports car. Acura really did a great job with all the amenities, and keep the price under $30,000.00, which is where all the other cars in it's class are. What a deal, and the dependability of dring a Glorified Honda, can not beat it. Traded in a 99 E320 4Matic, once in a life time, everyone should feel the joy and the pain of driving a Mercedes, never again. The maintance costs to drive a German vehicle are insane. Thank You Acura, for putting such a nice car package together. Recommend getting the 6 speed manual, and no need to worry about the car only being 4 cylinders, plenty of power, Sample this car last,& buy

I've owned Cadillacs (Sevilles and Devilles), an Infiniti Q45, an Isuzu Trooper SE, a Toyota Prius, and many other cars. My all-time favorite, owned in the 1970s, was a Citroen DS- 21 Pallas. (My least favorite was a Mercedes that had everything possible go wrong with it; even the odometer had to be replaced.) My second-most favorite is now the 2006 Acura TSX. I looked at the TL and the RL; but the TSX is just as luxurious, just as comfortable, and a whole lot more fun to drive.

I bought my car in the last week of December. I started my search from BMW 3 Series, but realized it was out of my price range. One day I test drove TSX and loved it immediately. The car has very beautiful, rich interior - looks very sporty. My car came fully loaded with features like heather leather seats, XM radio, bluetooth etc. Engine could use some more power but in sport-shift mode (auto tranny), it's fast enough. TSX has confident handling. Suspension and steering provide sharp cornering and good road-feel. I can't think of any other car that gives more bling for your buck.

I like the fact that this car comes with everything the TL has now. The DVD audio is the only exception but that's trivial. So far, if I can't live without the Homelink system to open my security gate and garage door. I truly appreciate the heated seats for my sore back. The navigation is fantastic. I don't know how I ever survived without HID headlights! I had a chance to borrow a Samsung A940 Bluetooth phone to try out the pairing. It worked great even though the phone is not supported. My only concerns right now are the squeaking creaking front seats which I heard is some sort of seat rail issue.

We compared this against the new Jetta. We felt the Jetta (GLI) drove better (more torquey and quicker handling), but could not pass up the unparalleled Acura Navi system, built in Bluetooth and overall build quality. Our dealer experience here in Cary NC was very poor when it came time to negotiate a final price on the car we wanted. After offering a firm price I was told the car I wanted had been sold and no others in the area were available! What a lie!I found one myself only an hour away.I ended up buying the car out of state and saved about $1000, even with transportation costs. But, it was definitely worth the added hastle. The dealer I used in MD was fantastic, throrough and fair.

I have looked at this car for 2 years until I was ready to buy and believe me it was worth the wait. I also drove the Accord V6 6 speed and it was nice, but the TSX is a better looking car, comes with a beter warranty and much nicer interior and better transmission. If you want speed only, buy the Accord. I didn't bother with the BMW 3 series because of reliability - ditto for the Audi. The Lexus IS is nice, but more expensive. If I want more power, I will get the ECU reflash, header, cold air intake ect. This is a great car - the best combination of reliability, style, performance and value out there.

This has been a great car to drive. Not only does it have typical Acura handling, luxury, safety, and reliability--all of which are great--but it also has a few extras I hadn't considered while researching my purchase, such as XM satellite radio, an air filtration system, and heated leather seats. This car is just plain fun to drive. Nice grip on the leather-wrapped steering wheel, quick acceleration, and comfortable ride.

This car won't rival the likes of a BMW or Mercedes - but it also doesn't come with the price tag. The car is reliable and fun to drive. My only complaint - it lacks the zip to pass quickly on a narrow 2 lane roads when 18-wheelers are in the distance. My wife may have screamed once or twice. But, what do you expect from 4-cylinders? Other than that one complaint - no problems in day to day city driving. The back seat isn't quite as roomy with a now 5'10" son's long legs.

All the mod cons; Memory seats, heated seats, Ipod hookup, navigation, voice activation, xenon headlights, the list goes on. And for the price you can't beat it. Great handling and braking. The interior is very quiet and well constructed. My previous car was a Honda Accord and I like the reliability of Honda's. Makes me get up everyday with a smile on my face thinking I get to drive it. I almost wish my job was twice as far away.

This car does exactly what it's meant to do, and it does it perfectly (for 28k!). No, it's not going to tear up other cars when you want to race them to the next red light, but it has decent acceleration and great passing power. It handles beautifully. The technology on this car is downright addictive. The Nav system is top notch and SIMPLE to use. There are about a billion voice commands which the car can recognize, and the blue tooth hands free link is incredibly convenient. It's bigger than a civic, but smaller than an accord - very nice size. Plenty of trunk space. The iPod jack is just icing on a very sweet cake. Want a drag-racer? Buy something else. This car is perfect.

I've thought long & hard before buying this car and have driven the competition. The TSX does everything right, it's quick , handles great, it is luxurious and won't break the bank. My only complaint so far is that fuel economy is not that great for a 4 cyl car. The car is fully loaded, every luxury feature that I wanted is there. The car looks especially good with a spoiler and the parchment interior with wood trim rounds out the luxury look. I would recommend this car to anybody looking for fun to drive, affordable sporty sedan.

I like economy but wanted to step up to a leather car for the first time. My previous car, a 626 (5m) was a satisfying experience. I kind of thought about a leather accord, but am glad I did the TSX. I like the 205 hp 4cyl and the nav. Did a road trip and an actual measurement of mpg. Got 35 mpg measured with 37mpg measured on the outbound (downwind) leg. My first experience with computer controlled automatic shifting. I like it! It has some spring in its step. It ain't gonna out pace a mustang, but it is a pretty peppy little 4cyl. Almost a luxury car. Almost a sport sedan. Almost an economy car. To some, that might sound like too much compromise. But to me it is the stuff of optimum.

Affordable and still Luxurious

I recently traded my 5 year old VW Passat 4 Motion Wagon for a 2006 TSX with Navigation. Considering the impetuous Connecticut winters, I was apprehensive about swapping all wheel drive for front wheel drive; no worries here. On New Year's Eve we were off to a night of entertainment at Mohegan Sun with four inches of snow between us and the casino. The car managed the slippery conditions and just as we thought we were free and clear another sedan in front of us spun out and landed against the guard rail. The TSX VSA (Vehicle Stability Assist) performed as designed as we manuvered our way around the accident. We did not slide or lose traction once. I no longer worry.

Just a tremendous car. I just got home with it tonight after putting on the first 120 miles or so (just driving around), so I may be a bit in that "I love my new car" mode. But, that's the way it should be. The drive is smooth, quiet, and rips around the side streets and highways with great handling. The interior and gadgets are laid out perfectly right in front of you, and it feels as though you're in the cockpit of an airplane. Just superb in every respect.

After driving an 04 TSX 6sp for 2 years, I was looking for a new car and realized how much I enjoyed the TSX. Adding the Navigation is a world of difference, and makes it a true luxury car. The Nav is easy to use, but the voice recognition isn't perfect. I compared it to Lexus, Audi and BMW and the Acura navigation is still far superior. The black leather interior is very classy, and the seats are much more comfortable than in the 04. The Auto is very smooth and the new steering wheel design feels / looks better. Bluetooth for your phone is nice, but lacks some extra features BMWs have. Overall, a fantastic car for the $$$ - a comparable 3 series or A4 is atleast 6K more.

I was an Audi owner, and a BMW lover, but move aside Germany, Acura has you beat! Plus you actually get to enjoy driving this car, rather than paying 1,000's of dollars maintaining it. I've replaced my last fuel injector, oxygen sensor, electric door lock, cruise control switch and air bag sensor in my Audi... if you want quality its Acura all the way. If you enjoy the repair shop, I guess the A4 and 3-series are just fine.

It was always really fun to drive, but I hadn't really considered the TSX until the '06 model came out. Now slightly more powerful, but much more techno-equipped, with complete hands- free Bluetooth capabilities, iPod interface, trip computer, much nicer steering wheel and gauges, improved exterior look, fog lights, seating memory, and other personalization features (my favorite: you can set the remote unlocking to unlock all the doors on one touch, not just driver's door). Autotrans is soft but ideal for everyday commuting, while sportshift is very crisp and great for mountain roads and other fun driving without heavy traffic. About 25 mpg from 205 hp 4 cylinder engine that feels like a V6.

I purchased the Acura TSX after owning similar, higher end American cars and test driving a host of similar cars (e.g., Volvo $40 was the closest runner up). I first considered the TSX based on the reviews, but also because it was both fun to drive and had most of the features that I wanted. In particular, it handles much more like an European car than a Honda, which is not surprising since it is marketed extensively in Europe. Moreover, as at least one professional review says, it straddles the luxury, sporty and family car categories well. After a few weeks of ownership, I must say I am very pleased. The car handles well, even in bad weather. I even get compliments on the looks.

This car does everything right. My previous car was a Prelude SH and although it is also a good car, it lacks 2 things, doors. The TSX added more power and a few more standard features that would cost alot more with its competitors. My other choice was a 6MT Accord V6 Sedan, and its a great car, but the TSX is a bit more appealing. I am very satisfied with this purchase and will continue to buy Honda/Acura products.

After looking at the 325, A4 and IS250, the TSX was the obvious choice. Comparable 325 was $36k with storage issues and outdated interior. Competitor's options are standard on this car plus maintenance is almost non existent. Quicker, quieter and better quality than the S60 I was driving. Much has changed for the better since my 94 Accord EX. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for an entry level luxury and look forward to my next Acura!

I have had this car a little over a week. I waited for the 06 because of the bluetooth addition. I am also very glad I opted for the navi system...it rocks. I am happy with the power, however it could use more torque. I went from an 04 Jetta 1.8T with 5 speed to this car. The Jetta was much faster in the take off, which is also because the TSX is automatic. The car drives and rides great, grips the road very well. The seats are very supportive and comfortable. There are more electronic goodies on this car, than you can imagine. I drove an Audi A4, Mercedes C-class and BMW 3-series. This by far was the winner, in my opinion. You get so much for the money, too.

As a former owner of 2 BMW's, a Lexus and a Mini, the TSX is the most fun to drive car for the money. After being beset with major quality issues with both of my BMW's (complete transmission failure and replacement at 1,500 miles for example, 12 trips to the dealer in 2 years, etc.), a nice, but too-soft ride and numb steering in the Lexus ES, and a fun-to- drive, but uncomfortable rear-seat and hardly any storage in the MINI, the TSX is the best all-around car I have found. For $27k you cannot beat it - plus Acura's famous quality and service. I highly recommend it.

As much as I love this car I must admit it is a bit underpowered and a V-6 or a V-4 with more horsepower and more importantly more torque would make this car perfect. It drives great and is always fun to drive. The exterior styling is conservative but works well. If your looking for a car that is fun to drive and a great value this is your car.

The vehicle drives like a dream and has the comfort and technology one would expect of a vehicle costing thousands more. Even though the vehicle "only" has a 4-banger, it is surprisingly quick off the line (Acura has the vehicle's total weight in mind, not just the engine.) The interior is well designed and all the fit and finish is immaculate. I have been driving the vehicle for a few days now and find new and fun features that make the daily commute just as enjoyable as the back road joyride. I highly recommend this vehicle!!

Crossed shopped BMS 325i, Audi A4 and Lexus IS. The TSX is a fun car to drive and comes with just about every feature you need. The exterior design is not the most exiciting, but I spend most of my time inside the car and the 325i and Audi A4 are just bland and not quite as intuitive as the Acura. The Navigation is tops on the market, the BMW one lags and the Audi is confusing.

Try finding another car with Power Adjustable Heated Leather Seats, Bluetooth Phone Interface, 6 Disc in dash CD Changer, Moonroof, iPod/Aux-In, folding rear seats, an amazing 6 speed transmission, Fog Lights, Homelink, ABS, Brake Assist, Head Curtain Airbags, 17" Alloy Wheels and Tires, and 0-60 under 7 second all standard and well under 30k. I came from a 2004 TSX that I loved, and this car is better in every way. There are so many new features this year. This car is faster, drives better, has more technology, has a more quiet cabin, feels more refined, has more creature comforts, and looks better than previous models. The only thing I may not love are the new wheels, but they're growing on me. Everything in this car is well integrated and easy to use compared to other cars, kind of like a Mac to a PC. The total package is greater than the sum of it's parts. The TSX is a gem that combines all the right moves at the right price, and for 2006, Acura has found a way to improve what was for me an already perfect car.

I purchased the 2006 Acura TSX after months of research, and have to say this car is brilliant. Interior build quality rivals the best in class, with all buttons are well designed and layouted. Very functional. Very roomy. Exterior... what a beauty. Navigation system is powerful yet easy to use. Fun to drive, has quite a bit of power, feels a bit like driving a V6; has decent acceleration. Very good handling. Best bang for the buck I must say.

It's not a BMW

This car does everything well, and theres nothing wrong with it on paper. Unfortunately, there's nothing exciting about it in real life - a jack of all trades. I was in the market for a BMW 325, an Audi A4 1.8T and a TSX. I drove all three, and was not very impressed with the way the Audi drove. The TSX gave me everything I wanted in a car and more for 3K less. I wish I had paid that 40 bucks a month more to get a 3 series. I am looking to trade my car in in less than a year. Dont get me wrong - this is an OUTSTANDING car for the 27 odd you spend. Tremendous value - It's certainly a great alternative to a Camry. But if youre comparing it with a 325... spend the extra 3k.
