I am the second owner for my 2005 Titan. I have owned the ruck for almost 7 years and have put the majority of the miles on it. To understand my perspective, I do all of my own maintenance and repairs on my vehicles, I perform all maintenance on schedule, for the most part, and do not have a lead foot when driving. Throughout my ownership I have only had to replace the front and rear brakes once each, However I am a fairly easy driver that does minimal towing so I do not stress my brakes. I have had no major mechanical issues or major repair expenses. Here is a list of what I have replaced or repaired over the course of 100,000 miles of ownership: -ECM Relay due to recall -EVAP Canister Purge valve at 150000 mile due to check engine light for P0455 code -Front and rear brakes once each due to wear -Starter to due issues where I had to turn the key a few times to get it to start. Starter is under intake manifold so it is a pain, but it only took me a few hours one evening to replace -Replaced tailgate latch due to broken clips -Replaced rear axle breather because they can become an issue and blow axle seals if clogged. Mine was rusty. -Regular maintenance items (spark plugs, filters, PCV valve, fluids) Rear parking brake shoes - One side started to delaminate and I heard a crunching sound in the rotor where the parking brake is. I am going to replace front shocks/struts due to one seeping fluid. So after 10 years and 157000 miles that is all that has gone wrong with my truck and it still drives as well as I can remember. The truck has plenty of power and drives smooth on the highway. I am really fond of the interior space, especially in the back seat. The ride can be a bit harsh and there are small rattles in the cab and body here an there, but it is a truck not a Cadillac. Overall I am very pleased with my purchase and plan on keeping this truck until it literally falls apart. In an effort to see what other trucks are like and if they are any better I have test driven and rented Chevys, Fords, and Dodges and I honestly cannot justify "upgrading" or changing trucks for what amount to a few mpg gas mileage increase and an upgrade in creature comforts (driver info, bluetooth, etc). $40,000 buys a lot of gas and repairs on my 10 year old truck. Overall I am very pleased with this truck. As with any car or truck, you get out of it what you put into it. If you take care of it it will last as long as you want it to.

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!

I Bought this new, thinking it would be more releiable than american made trucks. I've owned dodge tucks and had some problems after 100k miles but my titan had problems from the start. the wrong size brake discs lead to break job at 8k and again at 15k. I'm now now lucky to get 28k between brake jobs. I had problems shifting out of 4-wheel drive, not that I drive off road but simple winter storms or driving acrooss a wet back yard . THe clutch fan for the A/C caught fire in a school parking lot while at idle waiting for kids to get out of school after 18 months old. the truck sat at dealer for 2 1/2 weeks before they even started fixing it saying they never seen this problem before (2 years later had recall). The AC continues to have to be recharged. There is clicking when you switch from defrost to AC, so approx 5 hours of labor to take dash apart to fix. Check engine light came on (catalytic converter needs to be replaced- there are 4 in a Titan). Another $2600-3800. I may have bought a lemon, but I would recommend against buying this truck, new or used. pros -great looking, comfortable truck ,rides nice ,good sound system, with enough power cons -alot of maintenance problems, goes though front brakes often, small bed size

worst truck i have bought by far. 2nd owner of 73k miles. drove it about 5k miles before putting over $5,000 in repairs into it, first problem was my drive shaft came out of my rear axle and transfer case. new axle and transfer case rebuild.. then my ECM went out, it was a safety recall, but nissan refused to pay for damages and my recall. i will not recommend this truck to anyone. then i needed a whole new front suspension (ball joints, shocks and springs) cause they were old and bad. but that comes with age.

After 85,000 miles this truck still is going great. No major issues as of this writting, Can't understand why the truck commercials don't include TITAN.. guess they would make them laugh as this is one good truck. Though the style needs to be changed as they are getting a little dull in the looks, but still is a GREAT truck. No rattles, not one mechanical issue.

Bought my truck with 130k miles on it. Truck is extremely powerful and fun to drive. It even sounds great with the stock exhaust. I like the interior layout. The only complaints are that the interior feels kind of cheap, the front struts are blown, and the rear axle seals leak. The axle seals and the struts are known issues with the Titan and Nissan refuses to acknowledge them as issues even with the thousands of complaints. Luckily my friend is a mechanic and is going to fix the issues cheaply. The struts are $70 each and the seals are only $10. Aside from those two issues it's excellent as a truck. We love it.

Bought the truck brand new in 2005. Start having big problem three years later. Bearings on both rear-wheels are broken which lead to oil leak and cost too expensive to repair ($450 for each side). A year after replaced both rear wheels' bearings, the rear wheel spring attachment to the body was broken due to rust and poor welding. Twelve months later, the bearing at the T bar nearby the trans. was broken and caused the oil leak, cost too $450 to repair. Then later, 2 backup sensors were out and were replaced. This truck was a biggest disappointment to me. I finally gave up on this truck and sold it in 2012. Nissan knew a bout this problem on all Nissan trucks but careless to recall. I could not afford to keep spending money on repairing the differential parts and suspension parts so I ended up to tray in for anF-150 in 2012. It was a nightmare to own a Titan truck for me.

I'm not someone who bought this truck a month ago and is about to gush about it's reliability (what's with those reviewers anyway?) Purchased this truck 3.5 years ago, have put 50k KM mountain town driving on it. Only issue I've run in to is warping brake rotors, easily solved with HD brakes. The paint is nothing to phone home about, but definitely not sub par. Hauls a sled like it's not even there and shreds the highway between Whis and Van as fast as you'd ever want to. Expected a lot, and it has exceeded my expectations. Design/Layout are my favorite as well. 6'6" box is awesome, but cab is still very spacious and overall truck is very nimble. America still makes a great truck.

Nissan won't warranty Known Axle Issue.

I took it in for brake service at about 56,000 miles and learned it had a leak in the rear axle seal on the passenger side. Nissan replaced the seal under warranty. I questioned if the axle was bad and was informed it was fine. 12,000 miles later it leaked again. This time I was informed of a Technical Bulletin stating the axle, bearing and seal should have been replaced as a unit. I complained all the way to Nissan Corporate and was informed they would not warranty it outside of the 60,000 mile warranty. Even though this was a pre existing problem and was not fixed right the first time. I will never buy another Nissan product because of this. They did not care!

I have owned 5 other pickups, titan is my favorite. I have owned for 14 months it had 42k when bought and now has 56k.I average 15.5 mpg.on a recent trip from SC to NJ i averaged 18.5. Great amount of room in the bed and i can fit my daughter w her car seat and 2 other adults in the cab. Handles great for a big truck, i traded a g35 in for it so i didnt know what to expect handling wise. my wife drives a qx56 w the same engine and it feels slow compared to my titan. Definitely reccomend a titan to anyone looking for a pickup truck.

We purchased our 05 Titan 4x4 3 mo. ago with 72K miles from a local used car lot. I looked at over 40 4x4 trucks and had trouble finding one that was well cared for and had reasonable mileage. When I saw this truck I was impressed, but some online reviews made me worry about quality and reliability. Since correcting a CEL issue and doing some minor deferred maintenance, it has been a great truck. We only use it for hauling and towing so it's not a daily driver - good thing at only 13 mpg. So far so good. We pulled a 12' UHaul trailer moving my son to OH a few wks ago and the trip was great. I am loving this truck more and more each day. I hope it provides years of reliable service.

Purchased my truck used with 36,000 miles from a dealership. This was my second Nissan product. Had a Frontier crew cab that was extremely reliable and was the reason I purchased another Nissan. Have had very good service when oil changes and recalls were performed. Another feather in the Nissan cap. Dealership performance is another reason I bought Nissan. This Titan is solid. I have hauled an economy car from SC to MI without any problems. Have pulled my 18 foot boat on the weekends and it's pulls like a dream. Use the Titan for many other projects and I can't see myself doing without it. Love the styling and always gets compliments. Neighbor bought one because he liked mine.

I bought this Titan new with the expectation that I would be driving it till it's dead. I just turned 100,000 miles, and can say in all honesty that it drives exactly like it did the day I bought it. It feels like it's just broken in. I read on the forums about the sub-par quality of the OEM brake rotors, so I had those replaced under TSB before I ever had a problem. Other than that, this truck has never been in the shop. I haven't had to replace a belt, bulb, switch, or anything else besides tires, wiper blades and oil (Mobil 1). I've had numerous Ford & Chevy trucks, but this Titan has them all beat hands down in every respect. I'm glad to know it's built in Mississippi.

This is my 4th Nissan, first 1/2 ton truck. 2005 model, 117,000 miles. Easy to drive, great acceleration, very comfortable, has held up well on interior and exterior. Have had left rear differential start leaking - caught it before it turned into major problem. Tow hitch plug was faulty - losing contact-brake lights weren't working on trailer. Inexpensive fix. Have tow package - tow 2 horse aluminum trailer with ease (after installing larger transmission cooler). Engine was getting a little hot on steep inclines (hauling 2 horses and alot of gear) with factory one.

I have put this vehicle through hell and back, and have never had an issue. From reading on the internet you may think this truck is unreliable, however, I drive my truck harder then 95% or people, and I have never been stranded, nor has the truck had to visit the dealer. It's the most athletic and fun truck to drive on the market. Once you've owned one, you will understand, "it's a Titan thing"

I agree with the person who wrote, "the list of things that didn't go wrong would be shorter." this truck and Nissan corp usa can take this truck and shove it! These people charged me for a fuel-pump, oil/spark-plug change, ipdm, and a mass-air-flow-sensor, as well as a throttle position-sensor, to the tune of $6300.00, when all that was wrong at the time was a loose wire on the #2"mini-super-coil". (which they gladly fixed for free) Kraft Nissan in Tallahassee, Florida is one dealer you should pass up. I was told by Nissan corp. USA and Kraft Nissan that they had the best techs and they were right and I was wrong. I hope that $6300.00 gets them through this rough economy, they are gonna need it!

I bought this Titan new in 2005. I do less than 10,000 miles a year. At around 48,000 miles both rear axle seals started leaking. This repair costs over $1000. I have never done any towing, I don't have the towing package. warranty poot, I would not buy another Nissan product. If there is anyone out there looking to buy a Titan, don't do it. Nissan needs to have a recall on the axle seals.

Well i would like to start off saying that the truck has been a Great Vehicle up until last summer with about 70,000 on it.. The rear differential Seals went leaking oil onto the brake rotors creating poor braking. Fan Motor went. Front differential drive shaft BROKE when I put it in 4Hi at 20 mph. Rusting out all over the place. The tranny is going in for another flushing to try to stop the slipping. Time to get a new vehicle. That should last 150,000 miles easy.

Extremely Disappointed

Most comfortable truck I've ever owned but the problems are something I never expected from a Nissan..Four wheel drive snapped at 64,000 miles ( just out of warranty) brakes are terrible..truck shimmies...tailpipe & hitch rusted...unbelievable for all the more miles on this vehicle.Paint chips easily..I am going to be purchasing another truck and it most definitely will not be a Nissan..Very disappointed..I was under the impression that a Nissan would last for a long time..The only good points are the interior comfort and the style...Very unreliable truck..Didn't even make it to 70,000 miles..

"Titan" is a good title for my truck. I bought it very used with 87,999 miles on it and I have just completed a move from Texas to California pulling a 8,000 lbs trailer with no issues. I will drive this truck till the wheels fall off. At the rate this truck is driving i will probably die of old age first. The interior is a little dull but very reliable and very easy to use. My favorite feature is the audio controls on the steering wheel. I can't believe the trade in value is so low for such an outstanding truck. Tons of torque and get up and go power. Go get yourself one and enjoy! I change the oil every 6,000 miles with synthetic. No issues at all. Never in the shop.

Doors freeze shut $650.00 kit to fix both doors.no warranty. Both rear seals leaked at 18,000 covered by warranty. Power steering lines needed replace at 25000, no warranty. rear seals and rear axle need replace at 36,000 only cost of axle covered $900.00 for rest. Soaked brakes shot replaced $600. no warranty. front brakes replaced at 40,000 $700 no warranty. If I go for an oil change you know it will be a min of $500 when they get done fixing everything else they find.

I work in the oil patch driving in the worst conditions. This truck has been on back roads, winter ice roads and where there are no roads and NEVER let me down. I now have 140,000km worry free. The only problem I noticed is that when it gets to minus 40 degrees for some reason it accepts fuel only at a very slow rate. Still no squeaks or rattles like the north American products, great re-sale. The lease is up next Oct. and I will be getting another one.

I have owned Chevy, Ford, Dodge and Jeep pickups and I tried them all again before buying my Titan. I am getting older so I like my comfort and this pu is very comfortable and my wife feels safe in it. After a really bad accident in a half size pu I decided once again for a full size. I knew it would not have good mileage but this truck is terrific, no mechanical issues, looks great, runs fantastic and the Nissan maintenance is great. Brakes and tires wear out so no issues for me there. It tows like a dream only drawback is the front columns on either side of windshield takes some getting used to looking around it. No complaints, wish I had enough miles on it to justify buying another:o)

Just purchased / truck rides extremely well. Was surprised. Only problem with this truck is the tire sensors, if you change the tires you have to reset to have the light go out on dash. Mine is still lit. Another way to make you bring to dealership. Also engine service light comes on & stays on don't know why. Asked dealership people, they were mesmerized. I will write another review after I find out what is going on with these sensor lights?

We purchased the truck new in 05. Currently we have 52,000 miles on it. The truck has plenty of power with the trade off being mileage. We see an average of just over twelve. We have gotten 18 on premium and 8 on E85. The truck has been plagued with both minor and major problems. Minor being tire pressure sensors leaking or needing recalibration and back up sensors. Major being brakes, replaced front differential which took Nissan 2weeks, Fuel tank pressure sensor, and a fuel mixture sensor. Overall it is an O.K. truck but for real work I would prefer a Ford or Chevy. It is a sweet ride coming off the lot and in town but that is as far as you can take it.

When considering this vehicle, the V8 32 valve engine is what convinced me - not to mention the utility of it. I've put 62,000 miles on it. Love the torque power but have dealt with too much inconsistent quality issues that im considering trading it in. Some of the failures of it were poor brakes (9,000 miles started to shimmy. Dealer repaired it. Not to mention I learned how to repair my brakes afterwards), electrical wiring to a/c blower failed. Door locks froze badly, dealer recall. Differential oil would leak on inner wheel, something not all dealers willing to repair esp. if warranty is up. Gas mpg not accurate to sticker. Ave 12-14. And that's with babying it.

Bought the Titan to travel to the great white north country and needed 4WD. easy to operate the 4x4 and I drive 800 miles at a stretch. The gas mileage at 80 mph is generally between 18-20 mpg, excellent for a big V-8. Nice exhaust note! The brakes were an issue, but covered under warranty. Had a rear wheel bearing leak after 3yr warranty expired, covered under the 5yr 60K drivetrain warranty. Excellent warranty coverage by Nissan! The sheet metal is a little soft and dents easily. Still running the original tires at almost 40K on a 4x4 - unbelievable!! All around excellent truck, even in the XE no frills package.

Great handling truck. Have had it 120 mph on the interstate to pass a few 18 wheelers and had to do a real hard left to not hit the back of another 18 wheeler and on a 2 lane interstate - well I never had to worrry about rolling it or losing it. It just stuck to the road, and with the Goodyear SRA oem tire - go figure. Could have done a better job on the brakes for sure.

The power and luxury combination of the Titan is unparallaled. The other major brands can not compete. The motor is solid. The frame is rigid, still handles great and is quiet in the cab. I like the sprayed in bed liner and the utility tie down tracks and the tailgate damper. The power outlet in the bed is also a great idea. The downfalls to this truck are the undersized brakes. It tends to warp rotors in about 20000 miles. I am also less than impressed with the tires and rims. The alloy rims have been a constant problem as of late due to the fact that the air is slowly leaking out around the bead of the tire. They should offer steel rims.

We have had this truck almost 3 years. We have had chevy, ford and the original nissan smaller pick-ups. We bought it due to our experience with Nissan reliability and to replace a mini van. We bought the crew cab due to have 4 man-sized teenage boys. All 6 of us fix VERY comfortably. The back seating are is large with a lot of leg room. We have over 75k miles and not a single problem thus far! Of course, gas mileage is always an issue with vehicles like this

I bought my Titan as a close out from 05. I drove it for 18k when the brakes went bad (total replacement, rotors, calipers, pads, etc.), a silent recall. I pull a 23' cargo trailer daily - seems to do its job well. I ran for a year without trailer lights because no one could figure out what was wrong, finally it was a crimp in the rear door wiring harness (a recall that WASN'T posted). Tires were replaced at 28. Gas mileage is poor, unloaded at best 12-14. I love this pickup over all, I find it to have a great stance, powerful engine and really does a great job pulling the trailer and 30' pontoon. Just wished it had better brakes and a few other thing

I drove a Dodge 4x4 and it doesn't compare! This truck has great power, speed, and can handle itself in a crowd without any problem. It's had its share of problems though - complete brakes, rotors everything was replaced at 20k (unpublished recall). Replaced some switches from breaking, replaced wiring from rear passenger door because I had no trailer lights (recall), replaced tires at 35k, completely bald, and finally the doors wouldn't open when it got below 30 degrees (another unpublished recall). But I have to say cars fall apart, it's a part of their makeup.

It's been 2 1/2 years since I brought the Titan home with only 5 miles on the odometer. Since then more than 65,000 miles were put on the truck and the engine power just getting sweeter. The original Bridgestone Dueler tires seem to have about 20,000 more miles on their treads. I got about 18 to 19- plus MPG (2/3 of the driving was highway) with a few times of 21 MPG. Everything on the Titan remains stock with no modification, except a recently added toneau cover. The driver seat is losing its support on long trip now.

I just bought my 05 Titan about a month ago after owning a 06 Equinox for about 9 months and before that a 00 blazer for 5 yrs. I had 2 have my 4x4 back!! This truck is awesome. Very comfortable and actually handles better than my previous vehicles!!My sister had one before me and she loves her also. The fuel economy is the ONLY thing that I hate. Right now mine is averaging 12.5 mgp. Stinks, but the horsepower this truck has is incredible. I have only got to drive in a few snows this yr with it but it has done excellent. I would recommend this truck to anyone but if you're looking for fuel economy, his is not it. Overall though, I absolutely love this truck and would buy another one!!

I spent quite a bit of time researching full sized trucks before choosing the Titan. I am not a contractor or towing sort. My two choices ended up being the Titan or Ridgeline. After kicking the tires and test driving, I went with the Titan. Wifey liked the Titan after driving both, which surprised me since the Ridge has the independent suspension and better ride. Roomy, definite power, great sound from the Fosgate and exhaust (if you like that sort of thing), nice amenities with the LE model. Overall, I am pleased with the Titan after 2.5 years and 15k miles.

The ability of the 2005 Nissan Titan to tow was what caused me to purchase the vehcile. The 5 speed transmission does an excellent job of towing a 4,800 lbs boat. However, at 75,000 the rear differential developed a noise, which required its total replacement. It wasn't a failure of one or two parts, but a complete failure where an entirely new differential was put in. The rear end appears to be undersized as I changed the fluid every 20,000 to 24,000 miles which exceeds the maintenance requirement. The dealer has replaced 2 or 3 others all around 60,000. I talked with the dealer and Nissan who said it was out of warranty so tough luck. This truck can't be counted on to hold up!!!

I purchased this to haul our 4 horse trailer since the standard iterations of the domestic vehicles were not even close towing wise. This truck has exceeded my expectations!! It is able to tow 7500 pounds without a problem. The ride is like a luxury car and the cabin is super quiet. I am looking now at buying another car and they are so loud compared to this thing. It has the most comfortable cab I have been in. The downside is that the brakes did need to be replaced under warranty. The brakes could also be a little more powerful. I see about 15 mpg overall and have seen 17.6 mpg HWY.

I have owned a lot of trucks in my 63 years in Alaska. This is one strong, powerful mama. I pull a 4500 lb boat up a long pass and it pulls effortlessly throughout the rpm range at 14 mpg average (19/20 empty on the road). Great torque. On a long trip, my wife doesn't complain about seat discomfort and really loves the truck also... which is a real plus. I love this truck!

I have had my Titan for over two years with little or no problems. It looks great, runs great, fun to drive and has all the creature comforts. Has great power on and off road, mileage varies according to pedal pressure :o) but if I use cruise it is decent on highway. I have gotten over 20 on one trip, I attribute that to the bed cap, using synthetic oil. It tows great. It is a terrific truck

This has been a fabulous experience as a new truck owner. I needed it to haul horses and travel my daily route across a poorly maintained dirt road in front of my home in outskirts of Phoenix (county land) to work in Scottsdale. It's at home in either place. I've even used my truck to pull cemented fence posts out of the ground and it popped them right out. I've always been a sports car type but I love my Titan!

This is my 5th full size truck (Chevy, GMC, Ford, & Dodge) and by far the Titan has been the best experience. The drive-train is second to none, the interior comfort for long hauls is terrific, and the reliability has been rock solid. Yes I did have the brake recall performed (at 32K miles), but it just wasn't a big deal. I'm very picky about braking, handling, and performance and it was pretty obvious that the front rotors were undersized. Since I was using the truck as a long distance runner, it just wasn't a big deal.

I bought my Titan used back in January. Before the Titan I had 2000 Silverado. Night and day difference! The Titan gets better gas mileage, has power to give and rides great. Before I decided to buy my Titan, I was looking at a 2007 Sierra. The Titan has more room, and with me being 6-2 that helps. I can put my family of four in it and not worry about how cramped the kids are. I love the seats and the interior, it feels like a truck but yet comfortable. I recently went on a weekend camping trip, pulling a pop-up. Got the same gas mileage pulling the pop up as I do in the city. I also like the tailgate a nice safety feature with young boys running around. Love this truck!

With exception performance and with just 500 miles on the new engine I traveled to the West Coast with a trailer to purchase and haul back 4 Cushman motorcycles. Driving through snow cover mountain passes, windy valleys and heavy rains the Titan preformed exceptionally well. I was totally pleased with its handling and towing capabilities. I had severe head winds on the return trip and still the Titan was able to make the trip and surpassed all my expectations. I was so pleased that I stopped into Gateway Nissan and shared with the dealership personnel copies of the recent article in Popular Mechanics (Mar 2007), all the good comments I received and my trip experiences. The truck is awesome!

The Titan is a awesome truck. I think Nissan just needs to improve on their Seatbelts, and turning radius of the truck. And also they need to put on better braking system. I think a upgrade of rotors, and pads would help. Maybe performance rotors, the kind they use on Nascar or Trucks. I also think that Nissan should consider building a sporty version of the Nissan Titan. I am thinking 600 horse power or better .

Drove Chevy trucks for over 20 years; they can't match this for cost/benefit. If Nissan built these in quantity, they'd sell better than Toyota and ALL domestic manufacturers (similar features at $1,000's less). Better tow rating than Chevy or Dodge, better mileage, very comfortable, all controls within reach of the driver. Absolutely love it.

Vents creak @startup &shutdown still. It drives like a canoe, will not go straight. nervous, twitchy. camber kit installed. 4 trips to dealer, realigned 4 times. told me don't come back. This is one of the greatest trucks I have ever driven. The only setback was the brakes needed replacing because the morons who designed the truck put in frontier brakes designed for the smaller pick-up/SUV. However, now I have new special-designed brake rotors and feet for the TITAN and never had a problem since! I highly recommend this truck for both comfort and work. But be warned....the TITAN has such torque that it can rip your head off! The stock horsepower is almighty and has great potential! This is a must!

I am very pleased with my 2005 Titan, after one year. I purchased the truck based on looks and drive-ability I find it to be very nimble in town or on the highway. I do limited towing, I cannot really comment on heavy loads, but see more and more pulling large trailers on the road. The integrity inside and out has been solid. I had a problem with a brake vibration early, but my Nissan deal readily repaired the problem and showed me the technical bulletin. I highly recommend driving the Nissan Titan if you are in the market for a full size truck.

I have had my truck for 1.5 years and loved it until just recently due to the poor dealer service. It has the banks exhaust and gets 15-16 mpg with my heavy right foot and sounds great. The airbag light now comes on and is at the dealer for the 4th time in a month. They just keep replacing parts and two days later the warning lights are back on. You would think a Nissan dealer would know how to service a Nissan truck. Worst service I have ever seen with no end in sight.

Initially I thought I was getting an awesome truck with great quality. I was wrong on the quality!!! I have numerous ghost rattles and squeaks that cannot be found in door panels, fenders, dash, seats, center console. I detail vehicles part time, and this TITANs paint is losy at best. the clearcoat is super thin, the paint stains with a few hours of bird droppings in the shade. Yes, I keep it clean and waxed. The OEM tires are a joke. The front end alignment bad from the factory and chewed up four tires before they figured it was the alignment. To bad they didn't listen to my suggestions on the alignment. Brakes repaired/replaced three times, and they are only average.

The Power, The Looks I get, The Feel, The Roominess, The Comfort for 5 Passengers in an Extended Cab, The Innovative Design, The Handling, The Sound System... I could go on forever singing the praises of this truck. Nissan offers something in the Titan that no other manufacturer has ever cared to offer. This is an investment worth every dollar. Sure the gas mileage is low, but its a truck, with an EXTREMELY Powerful and responsive engine - put a K&N filter on it, ease up on the gas, and the gas mileage I am getting sometimes peaks over 18mpg!!! (highway of course). There was the brake glitch, I took it back once, the fixed it and its gone. Leave the Domestics... this is the KING

This is my third truck to own and first Nissan after having a Ford and Chevy. I love the truck. The engine sounds a bit loud on accerations, but I quickly got used to it and no long notice it. Driving is a lot smoother than the Ford truck I test drove. The captain's chairs kind of wrap around you and are very comfortable on a long drive. City mileage is only 14 mpg, but it is a truck. The only problem I have had was with the brakes. I was expecting this after reading the other reviews. Nissan came thru, by "upgrading" the brakes and giving me a 3 year/36000 mile warranty on them. The Big Tow Package I got is a good option if you pull a trailer.

The 5-speed auto trans with bucket seats and gated shifter is a dream. 3rd gear with my 21 foot travel trailer allows almost any speed up almost any hill. Still averaged 10 mpg on a 2000 mile trailer trip. The only vehicle I have been able to drive without extra back suppport. I have the 8 way electric driver seat. (Could be just an inch or two wider) Four wheel drive works great. Wish Nissan had some better brighter exterior colors to choose from.

The only problem I ever had was when the brake calipers had to be replaced, but believe that was a design issue that Nissan has started correcting in all Titans.

Fun to drive, plenty of power and manueverabilty. Good backseat room, split front power bench makes 6 passengers possible. Rattle in front wheel plastic panels next to engine. Big power window in rear allows for passthrough easily. The rear warning system is a big help with backing up and hooking up trailers. This feature has prevented many potential collisions.

The Titan out-preforms the Chevy Silverado I previously owned in every aspect. It's more comfy, has more power and gets better mpg. My Titan averages 16 mpg every tank and that's running mountains at 75 mph. It's nice to know this truck has some pick- up-and-go (more so than the murano I also own)should I ever need it. Brakes were replaced with the upgraded materials with no hassel at 12k miles. Truck feels much better when braking.

Leather captains chairs make driving something to look forward to. Cannot complain about GAS Milage...it's a full size 305HP truck...what do you expect. If you want fuel efficiency, go buy a Civic. Rockford Fosgate stereo rocks!! Even has a plug for my Dell DJ. Back seat is extra roomy. Bed rail system has already been handy. I really cannot say enough about this truck. After a month of ownership, I still love it like the first time I drove it off the lot.

I drive my truck to work and home all week which is about a 55 mile round trip. I have to go up a mountain and through a very curvy two lane country road. The ride is smooth and comfortable, and I have power to spare when I want to pull out and pass going up the mountain. It goes great in the mud and snow and shifting into 4 wheel is a breeze. I enjoy just getting in my truck and driving not only is it comfortable but it's fun and I always feel safe in it.

I have been bragging about my Titan up until this weekend when I heard a loud clunk coming from the rear axle. The noise got a little worse yesterday & today the truck is almost undriveable. It sounds & feels like something is slipping in the rear end, BAD, the slipping got so frequent & bad on the highway today that I was expecting to go home on the back of a flatbed. The truck will be going into the dealership where I bought it in the morning. They better not call me & tell me that they can't duplicate the problem or there are no "error codes" showing on their diagnostic equipment like service departments are prone to say! I expect them to blame the problem on abuse or some other excuse.

I got the 4x4 for hunting and camping. And the bed has the sprayed in liner, great forwhen I need to haul stuff. I don't have to worry about scratches. I haven't had any problems, knock knock. Can't wait to see how it pulls the trailer when we get it!! I do wish the seats in the back reclined a bit. My kids fall asleep and their heads fall forward. It also has the side airbags for the back too!! Makes me feel safer for my kids. They love the truck too. They like the windows, have minivan too.

I have owned my Titan for 11 months now and have been pleased with the performance of the vehicle other than the following: During the first tank of gas the fuel sensor went bad and had to be replaced. A few months later one of the electric motors on the drivers power seat quit working and had to be replaced. During both of these visits to the dealer, the service department was terrible. I never received any calls to update me on the status of my vehicle even though they had to keep the vehicle for several days. I later found out that they had broken other parts while trying to fix the original problems and had to order additional parts.

I purchased the Texas edition Titan and i have enjoyed the truck to the max since i have had it. It is quite the head turner and many have said that it is way better than any other truck that is currently out. My father had just purchased a 2005 F-150 and was very dissapointed that he could have gone with a Nissan for cheaper and way more features than he has on his truck the only time i have taken it to the dealer was for the oil change and to get that problem with the brakes fixed. Other than that the truck performs and drives better than any other truck i have driven.

The '05 Titan is a fantastic truck that any full-size buyer should investigate. I was on the verge of buying an F-150 during the great summer deals (also a nice truck) but I decided to test drive the Titan before I bought. Boy am I glad I did! The Titan has a MUCH more impressive driveline than F-150, even with the bigger Ford V8. Torque and HP numbers don't mean much...its how the vehicle feels that matters, and Titan feels great. I've had it 6 months, and there has only been one small problem; the dealership took care of it immediately. Yes it has poor gas mileage, but that shouldn't be a surprise to anybody (just look at the size of the thing!). You won't be disappointed w/ Titan.

My Titan has been very good in the time I have owned it. The gas mileage has been better than expected, especially considering the power the truck has. I have had as good as 23 miles to the gallon on the highway, and usually get at least 20 MPG. The truck rides nice and has a huge amount of space inside. We have used it to take long trips instead of our SUV because it is more comfortable and actually has more interior space.

I've purchsed a ton of trucks in my lifetime, and the Titan by miles is the best truck I have ever owned! I brought my first truck in 1987 at age 22, which happen to be a Nissan (hard body); great vehicle. As time would have it, I eventually decided to purchase a big truck. I test drove them all, for two years. Finally, Nissan decided in 2004 to get in the big truck business and the rest is history. Toyotas will not be avail. for plow use til spring/ not presently adequate to handle one at this time. The Titan has been approved by Nissan for the Homesteader plow. I tested it in an open field and plowing out my stores. Quick disconnect/great engineering. I tried evey truck out there... The "TITAN" lives up to its name. Image important. But after only 2 months I started having problems...first the brakes and rotors had to be replaced..then the drivers side door won't close on cold days..tires balded after only 7 months..side view mirrors cracked under cold conditions...harness recalled...now the 4 Wheel Drive jerks the car when taking turns in inclimate weather...every month there is another problem. I have had trucks for 30 years and this may be the first that is actually fun to drive. I was concerned with the size going from a Dakota to the full size Titan but its no big deal. The gas mileage is about what I expected 14-15. Considered a F150 and Tundra but fell in love with the Titan after I drove it. Value was part of the reason. Got a great deal at $3K below invioce. F150 and Tundra were more $ for less features.

I was instantly pleased with the new look available options. I purchased the 4dr crew cab LE 4x4 with almost every available option (no sunroof). Price was negotiated to a good deal. It is now Dec 05, no problems with the truck. I have had it to the dealership for two oil changes, rotate and balance and some other 7,500 mile service/inspections. I did take the truck in for the brake upgrade, original rotors warped at about 5,000 miles, since the update the truck will stop on a dime, everytime. For fun, I have driven off road, 4x4 works well.

I have had Ford, Chevy and Dodge over the last 8yrs. and this truck is better than all of them. The list would go on forever if I was to point out all of the things that are better on this truck than the aforementioned ones. Everything on this truck has been well thought out from the rear sensors to the seats. I know of 3 other people who have purchased a Titan and are as pleased as I am, I also know of 2 others who are also going to buy one based partly upon my recommendations. the only thing that I would like is to have better gas mileage.

Test drove every half ton on the market and no regrets on the Titan SE Crew Cab. Overall Toyota Tundra rides more quite and smooth, but not offering the towing capability and power of the Titan which I need. No problems to report after 6200 miles. Nissan did an excellent job gathering a lot of information to win over anyone looking to buy a truck before putting the Titan together. If you're looking for a full size pick-up give the Titan a test drive, you be glas you did.

I wanted this truck when I first laid eyes on it. Titans are by far the best looking trucks on the road, and having owned many Nissans prior to this truck I knew the quality would be impecable. It is roomy, well laid out, comfortable, and powerful. Towing with it is wonderful. Lots of power, and very smooth.

I purchased this truck new at year end clearance price. This is my fourth Nissan and my favorite. I've owned an 89 Pathfinder, 02 Frontier, 03 Pathfinder. Test drove a 2006 Frontier Nismo (bumpy and cramped just like my 02 Frontier) same day I bought the Titan. Was a little intimidated at first by the Titan but as soon as I test drove it I loved it. Power Adjust pedals, backup assist warning, utility track in bed, storage compartments everywhere, and plenty of interior room! Handles like a luxury SUV! Would be nice if steprails were standard. Gas mileage is terrible but I love driving this truck so much I"ll put up with poor fuel economy.

We bought this truck after having a chevy for 4 years. We had nothing but problem after problem with the chevy. The nissan is great! Fun to drive, fast acceleration. I have 3 kids and 1 car seat and 2 booster seats that fit perfectly in the back. The kids have enough leg room. I am pleasantly surprised about how comfortable this truck really is. I would recommend this truck to everyone. LOVE it, LOVE it, LOVE it!!!!!!!!

2006 titan 4wd/LE. have truck for 1 month and 1000 miles. Love performance. Gas mileage on first tank was 13.5mpg mostly city. 16.5 on hwy at 75 mph with only 700 miles on engine. Will use the bed extender on next trip and see gas milage with tailgate down. So far, the EPA estimate is fairly accurate. I'll see what the truck gets when I get the engine broken in and some miles on it. If one has ideas for increased mpg. Let me know. Did alot of research and I think the Titan is the best truck on market. Will reevaluate at 10,000 miles.

Having owned this truck for about a year I can say it is overall great. My real world gas mileage is 16.9mpg. and that is no typo. I drive the speed limit and don't stick my foot in it - love that exhaust note. A pickup truck is built primarily as a cargo hauler and I couldn't be happier with this function. Interior comfort is also first class - better seats than my wife's Lexus.

Was looking at the Toyota Tundra when I thought I would look at the Titan. Was extremely imperssed with the overall feel and size compared to the Tundra. Not that Toyota did not make a good truck, the Titian blew it away. Bigger, Nicer styling and impressive response was the key. Looks impressive and rides great. Was a Ford man, but not anymore.. good job Nissan

Titan is my first ever full size truck. I test drove the F-150 Chevy 1500, and Dodge Ram. By far Titan offers more in interior room, power, style, look, and enjoyment when driving this vehicle. The king cab is still roomy enough and some for a family of 5. I get nothing but compliments and stares especially from other non titan truck owners (they wished they bought one) Great braking and power at the drop of a dime, tow and haul is a snap with the push button gear shift its fantastic, get one its highly recommended.

Inital mileage appealed me! 3,500 Miles now. 4x4 SE Off Road package....11MPG mixed driving!?! Gotten better with break-in. Aver. 13 in town and 17 on hwy! My '02 Frontier v-6 4x4 5sp averaged 17.5 hwy or city. The lower finnal gear on the off road package contributes to lower MPG but adds tons for towing! Smaller wheels and taller tires increase ride comfort. I bought the soft tonneau cover......skip it! Poor quality. streatches, sags and leaks! Look for another bed cover! Lots of features standard/ not available on others. For the money, the best mid level 1/2 ton on the market! All considered, money well spent!

I bought a 2004 Titan S/E crew cab and loved it. I didn't use it in the winter. I live in Maine and cars rust fast up here. I left it in the garage for the winter. I sold it after 6 months because it wasn't getting used. I bought a 2005 Nissan Frontier in April of 2005. It was an L/E crew cab 4x4 and I liked it a lot. The problem...I owned a Titan before a Frontier! Like going from a trailer to a house! After 2 months, I traded the Frontier in for a 2005 Titan crew cab 4x4 S/E with tow package, Off road package and Preferred package. Now I'm happy!!!

Awesome power, good comfort, great features, most bang for the buck. The Titan has the most 'usable' power of any full size pickup and rivals Toyota for best quality. Gets about two miles more per gallon than Ford or Dodge. Much more power than Toyota, and just a better truck in design than Chevy. I've been amazed at some of the simple things in its design, like the oil filter area. Had vehicles in the past disigned for oil drainage here, this is the only one that works. Great storage and obviously the most interior room of all.

Brake problems, brake problems, brake problems. And that is how many times you have to take it back to the dealer to have them replaced. Many other quality issues. I have owned this truck for 105 days and it has been at a dealer for repair 20 of those days. Stick with domestic trucks. Nissan doesnt have it right and they do not care.

When I took the Titan out for a test drive, I was blown away by it power, speed and comfort. The king cab has plenty of room and even though I got the 4X2, it still has a beefy suspension that rivals many 4X4's on the road. The Rockford Fosgate stereo in the truck I test drove was amazing. I ended up getting the base stereo with the 6 disc changer but it still has great sound.

Nissan has hit the mark with its first attempt at a "full size" truck and it shows! It is amazing that this car company is putting out the designs it has in recent years. When checking mileage to my surprise it went from 13 to 15.5 city and 22 on highway. If you can withstand a little noise it is really worth putting one on. I have already paid for it in savings on gas at $2.50 a gallon. $230.00 flowmaster.

I have been thoroughly pleased with my purchase of this truck save for the dismal gas mileage. I own this truck (2005 LE crew cab 4X4) now for 5 months and it still feels as great getting to drive it now as when I first took it home. When I bought the truck I was aware that there was a front brake pulsation problem but knew Nissan was working on the situation and would correct it soon. As always Nissan stepped up to the plate and the brakes are perfect now. All the Titans made after May 2005 no longer need to be repaired. Don't let this stop you from considering this truck. You'd be missing out on a great experience. Now after saying that there isn't a single othe problem with the truck inside or out. It performs absolutely flawlessly and would buy another Titan as my next truck.

This is the first vehicle that I have owned that has me loving to drive again. It is the most comfortable vehicle I have ever ridden in, the captain's chairs feel like lazy boys, and the vehicle rides like a car. It nearly floats over bumps, not like trucks of old that would shake you to death every bump you hit. All in all this is an awesome vehicle much better than the '04 and '05 F-150's.

I had high expectations when I purchased this truck two years ago. I have had two Nissans previously and had good luck with them. The Titan has been nothing but a headache since I have owned it. The brakes, water leaks, severe rust, engine ping, blue smoke, steering column replacement, rear end, squeaks and rattles, missing parts and pieces, and poor Nissan customer support. Nissan fails to recognize that they released a truck before all the kinks were worked out. The build quality was substandard. They forgot to install a important bolt in the frame which created problems and the only fix was to drill a two inch hole in my floorboard. That is an example of poor QA in Canton, MS.

The wife and I took our son's sportster, BBQ, Refrig from Slo Ca to Sunnyvale Ca. approx 500 mi round trip. Average 16.7 mpg up and back. Interior: just right for the drive, queit, mirrors were great, controls were perfect, wife slept most the way back and so did I. No complaints @ this time. Exterior: It's different, took a while to get used to it, it grows on you Drive train: Very smooth shifting plenty of power for the freeway ramps and passing Limited slip works great.

The Titan's power is great.Trans is smooth. Passengers in the rear gets a bit choppy and jiggly on rough highways.Minor wind noisy above 75mph. The brakes feel very smooshy and unprecise but very powerful if enough force is applied.Short rear passengers(5'8") keeps on wrestling with the seat belts because of no height adjustments.Cheap plastics around cabin makes rattling noises when encountered with pot holes. The large storage bin can hold lots of stuff, but hard objects tend to make knocking noises when the truck encounters pot holes.Lack of height and lumbar adjustments make long trips uncomfortable.Lack of power mirrors is inconvenient. The bed is very short!

I have had the truck 1 year. I enjoyed the truck for the first 3000 miles, then the brake problem kicked in, new rotors and pads. 5000 Miles later, new rotors and pads, 3000 miles later new rotors and pads. Do we see a pattern. Did some research, the 04 and 05 models have the smallest brakes on them, when compared to its competiton. New vented rotors and new desighed pads, is that really going to fix the problem.

Titan is a very well made vechicle. I had problems with thr brakes and I had to replace the tires at 24000 miles. nissan repaired the brakes for free but I had to pay to replace the tires. I enjoy diving this truck and the space it has inside of the crew cab is unbelieveable. The only thing I do not like is there is no place to hang my clothes in the back without blocking my kids view and it also make it unsafe when the kids are in the rear. I hope Nissan will fix this problem so they can compete with Ford.

Overall this is a very nice truck for a half ton, but at 11-12 mpg it's one of the thirstiest trucks I have ever owned. My previous trucks were configured the same with big V8's & tow & off road packages and had better mpg performance. Helping a friend out with a trailer over 5,000 lbs can be a hassle also since the Titan needs a weight distributing hitch over 5K to achieve its 9,400 lbs rating. My tranny also hunts for gear between 4th & OD between 35 to 40 mph.

Being a truck owner for years I found the Titan to be better than the big three. I test drove the F150 and it drove like what I'd expect from a truck....a bumpy ride. The Titan is a smooth driver. Interior storage far exceeds the F150. Plus, Titan comes with a lot of stuff that's extra on the F150. I purchased the Titan even though Ford had their employee price plan opened for all buyers. The acceleration on the Titan is a bit noisy at first, but it's quiet when you hit cruising speed. Even then, the noise is something I've already blanked out. As far as gas mileage goes.....it's a truck! What would you expect? No recalls in the past 3 years it's been out. Not bad for a new truck.

The 5.6 is very responsive and really comes to life when you kick in the passing gear. The 5-speed auto- matic tranny is the smoothest I ever felt. I love the boxed frame rales. fuel economy is fair so far the best I have achieved is 16.7 mpg driving Like my grandpaw. I only have 1200 miles on this truck so hopefully it will improve some. With the nissan gold plan a 100,000 mile bumper-bumper or seven years, You cant go wrong. Why don't domestics stand by their product like that? This coming from a chevy fan. In a single word..Phenomenal. after months of researching, and test driving. My choice was the f-150 or the titan. I made the right choice. Perfect. We love it, handles like a car, but performs like a larger truck. Had the GMC- hated it. Titan has many small comforts and accessories that make long trips comfy. Quiet on the road and handles off-road even better. Haven't towed yet, but others have said it pulls better than Toyota or GM. We won't be trading it for years, unless Nissan out-does it- doubtful any time soon.

I have always been a Ford truck man. I love the Titan. I have been looking at these trucks for over a year now and finally broke down and bought one......I LOVE IT. Gas mileage is normal for a truck. It is easy to get around...the rear back up beeper is great. Lots of room for all the family and friends...well thought out truck. I cannot say enough about it!!!

I have a 2004 4WD SE with split bench seats with cloth interior. Looks like the 2005 suffers from the same seat issues. What's with the sagging split bench driver and passenger seats. I'm 210 lbs and the Maxima I traded in had awesome support in the seat. I feel like the seat is slowly collapsing on any trip over fifteen minutes. And the material starting to come apart at the decorative stitches. The tailgate pivot pin is loosening up and looks like it may work its way loose. Time to visit the dealer. And yes, I'm soon going to be on my third brake job which means the new heavy duty ventilated rotors and hopefully dustfree brake pads. Otherwise the truck is great! Steve

I traded my 2004 Frontier supercharged truck in for the Titan. I did my research on the Titan and was confident that it would be a good choice to go with it over any other 1/2 ton on the market. I was Right on the money. This Truck will smoke any stock Dodge Hemi with 1000 lbs in the bed of the Titan and the Dodge dry. If you are in the market for a full size 1/2 ton truck I suggest you don't even waste your time on Ford, Chevy or Dodge and drive a Titan. You will want to buy it on the spot!! The only issue I have had with the Titian is the common front brake rotor problem. Nissan is sending all dealers beefed up replacement parts for the front brake issues.

I have owned my 2004 Titan for a year now and I still have the "new truck thrill". These trucks just plain get it on. I tow my 21' boat with ease, as well as go out for family rides on weekends. I have never regreted purching this truck. My truck is very popular with friends and co-workers and people still comment on my truck (good) even when other new trucks (domestic) appear in parking lot. The only "bug" is that the front brake rotors warped twice. I have full confidence that my dealer will permently fix the defect when the "vented" rotors arrive.I am pleased with the dealer I purchased at too. I did not get the pushed, or swindled in any way. Would buy same exact truck again!

I recently purchased the truck and have put 500 miles on it in the past 5 days. Compared to the Accord is replaces, the interior isn't as glamorous but what do you expect? IT'S A TRUCK!! Acceleration is peppy and spirited and braking is top notch. Standard 6-disc stereo is OK but the AUX port is a very nice feature and adds to it's worthiness. Rear sliding window is awesome and cabin noise is minimal. Engine and tranny doesn't skip a beat and you often have to check to see if it is still running because of it being so quiet. Got the Big-tow pckg because for $400, why not for the "just in case" moment. Insurance only went up $13 every 6 months, not bad there either. This Titan Rules!!!

This is one great truck. Tons of power, hauls great too. Gas mileage is to be expected from such a powerful engine. Interior is comfortable, and the LE has everything you could want in a truck. The bed is by far the best I have owned, the factory bedliner and the rail lock system is unique. The only complaint is the brakes. The front brakes went bad at about 10,000 miles, and then again 5,000 miles later. Nissan dealer says they know they are not heavy enough to stop such a powerful truck and they are working on replacements though.

The vehicle has been great except for the brake problems. i have had the brakes replaced 3 times and the rotors turned twice and replaced once in only 4000 miles. the rotors warp every 1000 miles it seems and even this new updated brake kit i just had installed is starting to fail. i wouldnt reccommend a titan to anyone until puts a entirely new barking system on the truck. it is a liability and a safety issue. nissan consumer service is real lousy too. i made my decision today to lemon law the truck through a lawyer.

I traded in an 03 Dodge Ram Hemi for this truck. Many don't believe that it will run circles around the Hemi, but it truly does. Power is much more usable, with more torque to boot. The exhaust note, in stock form is "sweet." I bought the XE model and have customized it to be the truck that I personally desire. All in all, it's a fantastic truck that sells for thousands less than those offered by GM, Ford and Dodge.

I have owned my Titan since November, the Titan is a 10. The interior is very functional and spacious, it is almost impossible to use all the interior space. With 5 adults there was additional leg room for both the front and rear seat passengers. Even with the offroad package the truck rides smooth. The Driver Memory system with the power adjustable pedals makes it easy for my wife to drive. The dash is easy to read and driver friendly. Powerful truck and everyone I have let drive it says they must have one. Nissan has really done it this time.

I recently purchased a new 2005 Nissan Titan King Cab, and I truly love it. After ditching my 2003 Dodge Ram Quad Cab, the Titan is a breath of fresh air compared to the bucket of bolts of the 4.7 V8 of the Ram. The power of the truck is amazing and the gas mileage is already better than the Ram, althought it is nothing to get excited about. Averaging 15-17 so far. Comfort is nice, but the controls are a little weird to get used to. I love the way the back doors open out to 180 degrees. The tailgate feature is a real plus also, taking only one hand to open and shut it. It rides like a cloud on the highway and has NO problem when it is time to make a pass. Nissan quality is all I ask.

Having owned an F-150 for the past 11 years I decided to try the Nissan and after one test drive decided it was time to switch. The roominess, power, roar of the engine,(if you want totally quiet, buy a luxury car), it's great to put the foot down and hear that roar but then quiet when normal driving, no wind noise. The truck is fast and looks great. I get a lot of compliments on the styling and I really like the way the rear doors open all the way. When looking to buy a truck, it was either going to be a Toyota Tundra or a Nissan Titan - I didn't waste my time with the American truck-makers (poor reliability, interior quality, fit and finish). My main complaint is the gas mileage - it uses a lot. Don't get the Off-Road package if you do a lot of freeway driving - I hate the stiff Rancho Shocks. Also, the driver's seating area could be a little wider. I would recommend this truck over any full size option on the market.

Narrowed down search to Titan vs Tundra. The Nissan dealer had an 05 Tundra on the lot (trade in for Titan), so I was able to compare side-by-side. Clear winner was Titan. With a seemingly endless supply of power/torque and cavernous interior, plus a silky smooth transmission and nice ride - this truck meets all my needs plus more. The LE with big tow package = truck that feels at home whether going out on date night or sloshing in the dirt and mud. Believe it or not, I went from my BMW roadster to this truck without losing the "fun factor" either. I've been camping with my family of 5 and the next week hauling 1/2 ton of dirt and this Titan doesn't skip a beat.

I love my truck. I did not realize how much I enjoyed it until I had to be without it. The window regulator broke this past Sunday. Window dropped to the bottom of the door. Not so good for a new vehicle. Gas milage is poor, power is great. Truck can tow every bit of 9100 lbs with package, as advertised. I have put it to great use towing what ever. BVery easy to control and manuver. Get compliments all the time. More storage than one will need. Plenty of room for my 18 mo. old son's car seat, and still have 2 adults in the rear. If only the satilite radio feature was not $320.00. Then I'd be 100% happy.

I bought my 2005 Titan in january and love driving it. No other truck can match up to it superior capablities and options. For and 18 y/o a $35,000 truck was a little high. My dealership gave me the worst buying experience but i really wanted the truck. The truck has a few minor discrpences but oveall the best bang for your buck. No other trucks are even made with navigation. Ford or Chevy trucks do not even make them even in their Denalis or escalades. Any chevy or ford truck you put up next to the titan will be more expensive and only be the base model but Nissan listened to the consumers and made the luxury truck affordable. If anyone has figured out how the make the nav play DVD's email-

All in all, I really like it and would certainly recommend anyone in search of a nice truck to go and test drive one. I'm certain you'll really like. Styling is much better then that of Dodge and Chevy. I've owned both a Ford and Chevy before. The Chevy was a good truck, but not as good as my Titan. The Ford on the other hand was nothing but headaches...something was always going out on it. Again, check out the Nissan and you wont be disappointed. Oh, and it's fun driving this truck!

After reading a ton of great reviews on the truck I finally test drove one and purchased it. It had all the bells and whistles that one could ask for in a full size truck. However that was short lived. After a month the truck was in the shop more then I had it. 7 trips in less then 3 weeks. Total of 12 trips in 3 months before I got rid of it. Be aware of the major brake judder problems. Gas mileage never got to what the sticker suggested. I usually only got 9mpg city and was lucky to get 11 on the highway. Pulling my 5000 pound trailer I got 8mpg.

Since getting into a Titan I actually enjoy driving again. I can't remember the last time I have gotten into any vehicle and started smiling as I was driving. Even the congested roads of western Washington don't get me down anymore. The power and smooth response of this truck is like that of a sports car but with the capability of driving off road, pulling a tree stump, and hunting. Everything from the BF Goodrich tires to the XM satellite radio is just a joy to have. The engineering is excellent and nobody can touch the utility track bed. All I want to do is drive. I want to go on a road trip so bad I can't sleep at night. However, this weekend, Mt. St. Helens, "Baby."

With 1000 miles on Feb 05 build date CC LE 4WD fully loaded (everything possible) Titan, I'm happy to report I have had perfect quality and performance so far. None of the well- known initial quality glitches have shown up, and my Feb 05 truck was cleared of all known TSBs except the "permanent" brake fix, which is still reported to be a couple of months away. Mileage is not good, but already better than the Denali AWD it replaced, or its stablemate Audi S6. DVD, Satellite radio, Nav., RF radio all perform perfectly. Time and more miles may yet tell a different story, but as of now I can assure 05 buyers that Ghosne and the Nissan team appear have cleaned up the situation completely.Go for it.

My Titan is an 04 purchased 3/05 . I have about 1500 miles on this truck and have a few comments a buyer might be interested in. Performance is great . This truck gets it. Very quick and handles well. My first impression of the steering is that it takes more power to turn the steering wheel than my former ford or chevy truck. Brakes dirty up the front wheels with black dust.I have a rattle in the dash. Gas milage is about where I expected it. About 12 in town and about 15 or 16 on the hwy. The exaust noise is barly perceptable on the hwy .The radio quality of sound poor on FM but the sound quality of the cd player is great. Radio light reflect on rear glass through the rear view mirror.

I now have 800 mi. on my Titan, and have loved driving it every mile. I traded a 01'F150 and wish I would have done it sooner. The list of features on the LE package are fantastic. The fuel economy has been 16mpg and isn't really a problem with me.. I knew this before I bought it and it's not a everyday used truck. The engine and transmission are extremly smooth and quiet... except for the exhaust sound, which reminds you your in a truck with power. However, the exhaust is not loud enough to be annoying. The interior layout has proven to be well laid out, very user friendly and very comfortable. The ride is very smooth yet sporty feeling. Best of all the cabin is the quietest out there!

i waited for the 2nd year model to come out, so any "bugs" could be found. the mileage is great, for such a large and heavy truck. i'm getting 18.5 on trips away, but around 13 in town. it doesn't even feel the boat and trailer. the interior has everything you'd want. i'm 6'6", and with the front seat in a position where i'm comfortable, i can also get in the back seat, and have a couple inches of room between my knees and the front seat. headroom is great both front and rear. the engine is extremely powerful, and i've had to learn to forget about "jack rabbit" starts. the price was good, and i've found nothing i don't like about this truck.

I really like this truck and glad that I bought this model. It's the only model that has body colour front grill and bumper. Mechanically everything is sound. This model didn't offer enough options such as fog lamps and a wheel upgrade. Also needs a little more added to the XE preferred package such as power windows, power door locks and keyless entry. As a previous Ford owner, I expected something to be of that caliber; sleek in design and intimidating. Instead I purchased a seldom heard of vehicle with tight easy handling, beautiful to look at, comfortable on long distance drives (1,000 miles or more twice), and built with Nissan reliability.

After 2 months of ownership of my 2004 Titan, I'm very pleased with the vehicle. Plenty of room, power, looks, and handling capabilities! Quality is solid so far. Lots of little things that I like about this truck too. Like the 6 disc changer, built in alarm system, sprayed in bed liner, most power in it's class. Ford is the only vehicle that's refined enough to even get close to this vehicle...and I don't even like Ford's. I've been a Chevy fan my whole life, but Chevy has a lot of catching up to do to match the Ford and Nissan. Dodge looks nice, but lacks the quality of any of the others. Towing capacity on the Nissan is great!

Maybe it won't happen to you?

My truck had been into the dealership 6 times and out of service almost 60 days before Nissan purchased it back-- it was all for little things (stereo, tire pressure monitoring system, auto up/down window controlls). Overall I think the vehicle is well designed but build quality falls off when you get into the more fancy setups (mine had navigation, dvd, sunroof, everything). You can beat the price in the base models but Nissan just doesn't know how to build a truck yet. I'd take another look in a few years but for now Toyota or Ford dominate.

Best Truck I've Owned.

Driving on a trip yesterday, I saw an F-150 with a decal of the "Bad Calvin" doing what he does best on the word "Imports" Let's just say I drove up next to it, smiled, and blew by and far away from the Ford. Nissan has got it right- watch out Ford and Chevy. This truck is comfy (SE with all options) as well as rugged. We travel all the time, and love it. Plenty of room, even in the King cab, and even with our 2 100 lb dogs riding in the back. (Folding up seats back there kick arse) Best bang for your buck without a question- gas mileage... well, it's a truck, but it does do better than all of the others. Side by side comparisions- most room, best performace, and best price.

Nice truck with great power and design features. Great cd system and interior design. Looks good and handles good. The engine is loud, but the cabin insulation still makes listening to conversations and music/radio ok. I haven't noticed any wind noise, but have only had the truck since December 2004. The read-outs for the gear display, 4-wheel drive indicator and trip mileage are digital and a light orange color that is unreadable with sunglasses on in the bright sunlight. This would be my main complaint. Otherwise, a very nice truck.

No long will I have to make five trips with the car for house items everything just fits in the cab just right.and so easy to clean out. I have had a Dodge and Chevy truck in the past, but this one tops both of them. I got my 2004 titan in 5/2004. At 1280 miles, bad steering vibration due front brakes. They resurfaced rotors& put new on brake pads. The 2nd time 300 miles. They put new rotors & new pads. The 3rd time 4000 miles. Resurfaced rotors & put on new pads. The 4th time 5642 miles, had to bring it back again. Not even a year old. I am not very happy. I am not just talking about a little vibration on the steering wheel. It is pretty bad... Ride is pretty smooth, plenty of power. But the brakes are no good. Because of this I probably would not buy another Nissan. Thank you.

Prior to buying the Titan I drove all of the Big 3 truck manufacturers. The Titan is by far the best value and performing half ton pickup. I do not have the tow package as I felt a 7500 lb capacity is more than enough. I use the vehicle for recreational use and on our first trip we found the vehicle extremely comfortable with a great ride. Around 20 mpg on the highway too!

I loved the exterior styling which is why I bought it. However, while going 40 mph one day, my bug deflector broke off and scratched and dented my hood. I only had it 6 weeks so I assumed it was a manufacturer's defect. But the manufacturer said since mine was an isolated case I would have to pay for the repairs myself! (Shoddy installation I assume!) Then, at 15,000 miles my transmission started locking up. It was in the shop 3 weeks because they had to send away for diagnostic equiptment from the manufacturer just to figure out the problem. It turned out to be a computerized glitch. I've never experienced so many problems with a new vehicle with such few miles before.

I traded an 03 Dodge 1500 Hemi Ram for the 05 Titan. Although the Dodge has a higher listed horsepower, the Titan's power is much more usable, comes on sooner, and seems effortless by comparison. Fit and finish is also better on the Nissan, as is torque, towing capacity, and gas mileage. In addition, the "tow mode" switch, which raises the shift points, is a teriffic feature and makes towing almost effortless. All in all, I believe it is the best bang for the buck in the full size truck market available today.

I bought the base model (XE), king cab with 4WD (4WD adds about $3K). Even though its a "base" model, it doesn't look cheap. It has painted bumpers (which I like) instead of chrome, and steel wheels which look OK (unlike the cheap looking steel wheels you get on a Toyota SR5). Windows, mirrors and door locks are manual, but other, but criously enough it has cruise control. I paid $24K, plus tax and a $300 dealer fee, it was right at $25K out the door, they are willing on deal on these, the MSRP was $27.5K. The steering and engine have that tight, "refined" feel you would expect from a Lexus. King cab doors open 160 degrees, and there are "latch" child seat connectors in rear.

This truck rides extremely well and very fast. Point A to Point B is no time at all even in long trips. The interior is comfortable once you adjust the seats properly. I haven't used all the features. The truck is really worth the money. You are not going to get 30 miles a gallon out of a v8 truck. The gas prices just need to be lowered again. The truck roars with ambition for the open road. The gas pedal does not need to be pressed much for a response. It has a sports car heart with the utility of a truck. I get nice comments from everyone about my truck. The buying experience was very simple at the dealership. I look forward to nissan's diesel trucks because of these Titans.

The Nissan Titan LE with tow package gives me the truck I need to easily pull a 25 ft. travel trailer and still use it as a personal vehicle (Crew Cab). My truck's 18 inch tires are super quiet and smooth, its engine is fairly quiet and the transmission is silky smooth. It is easy to enter and exit from all four doors. It has some rattles, but it is generally a tight fit. The gas mileage is not great, but did not buy it for fuel economy. I would recommend it to any potential pickup truck buyer.

This truck will scream just looking at the gas pedal, and the steering is awesome. No other truck can match the tightness, steering, and standard features wich come with the "LE". sprayed bed-liner, bed lock-box, tie-down rails, bed extender, etc. I don't see Ford, Dodge, or GM attempting these standard features. I just bought my vehicle at the end of last year. I got a really great deal. I was hesitant about buying one after all the problems with the quality of the 2004. So, I waited for the 2005 model. I am glad I did. The truck has great power, style, and comfort features. I am in a Ford family. So it was somewhat a shock when I showed with a Titan. It is a great truck. The gas mileage is really good for a vehicle this size. I haven't had any problems with the 2005 Titan. I did buy an extended warranty. It has the space of full size suv with the utility of a truck. That is the best of best worlds. I also love the added features such as the sonar for parking. I use it quite a bit.

Picked up an 05 LE Crew 4x4 with nav, dvd, xm, sunroof, RockFos tunes, lots more. Unbelievable value, even fully loaded. Back seat roomier than my Sequoia 2nd row (trade in), best stereo around, drives like a car although definately a BIG TRUCK. Power keeps coming and coming, can't wait to tow the toys and see how it feels off road. Only minor gripe so far is although the Nav is great, it is not has intuitive or feature filled as my Acura's. Also poor gas mileage, but I knew that coming in. Test drive all the crew cabs first, and you'll still drive away with the Titan. Even die hard Detroit fans will have to think twice this time around. Thank you Nissan!

I bought my Titan Dec 03 , it's been good truck. Had master cylinder failure , door moulding peeling off, other than that no other issues. Gas mileage bites about 13mpg to 14 avg. Rockford-Fosgate 6 cd player is a must thing cranks. I got dark blue paint it seems to scratch easily

A great truck

Great looks. Strong engine. Very good comfort. Fine 5 speed transmission. Many little extras not found on other trucks. Not great gas mileage, about par for 4X4 trucks. Impressed with the standard limited slip rear and front wheels. Super audio system. Get the XM radio, it is the best system. It must be ordered and factory installed to be incorporated with the fine radio system. Better price compared to GMC or Chevy. Did not price Ford or Dodge.

Test drove every full sized truck available and the Titan stood out from the rest. Great features, controls logically placed and comfortable made it the clear choice for me. After 6 months with zero problems if find myself liking it even more as time goes on.

I have had mine a while now and am still very, very pleased. For the money, fact that it is a truck and other things it is amazing. I use it as transportation for 4-5 adults in comfort. It pulls over 9k lbs (big tow pkg) and has so many really nice features. Good power and torque, gas milage is 14-15 so far (hey it's a V8 full size I knew that). I sold a car and a truck and am filling both roles with this and it is doing great. Truly excellent room in the back and great functionality. Compared to Ford F150 (05), chevy 1500 and Avalanche it is no contest. Tundra is nice but not as well thought out and is 7/8th size. Not as roomy or feature equiped. I am not a Dodge fan so did not consider.

My brother is the one that owns the Nissan Titan. I was in texas one time when I wrecked my car (I live in Oklahoma) and I had no way how to get my husband and daughter back home. Then My brother said him and his wife could take us.All 5 of us in that truck, I thought it would be uncomfortable but it wasn't. It was QUITE comfortable!! I would recommend that truck to anyone!Since our car was totaled my husband bought a Nissan Titan and I LOVE it!!! And

This is a great 4x4 truck!! With 12,000 miles on the odo, performance, reliability, and quality feel has been excellent. Steering is tight and confident. This is the first vehicle I have owned where the factory tires (18 inch dubs)ride smooth as silk. Gas mileage has been about 16mpg around town in mixed open road and stop and go traffic. Interstate mileage has been around 17mpg. Engine power is awesome, even to the point of barking the rear tires at red lights when forgetting to control my lead foot. The roominess of the cabin is perfect even for big and tall folks. The interior is a little drab looking when compared to the Ford and Toyota, but this is a minor point.

I love this truck and am happy that I own it. But it would appear the quality of those who manufactured the vehicles was poor. Mechanically everything is sound. Though I have, on the inside, lots of clicks, rattles, poorly placed trim and many other complaints. Worse than that, my salesman was a snake in the grass. Not that I should have expected more from a car salesman, but he certainly threw a kink in the whole experience. It would be nice if the bed was a little longer, like 8 inches longer, but at 6'4 with the extra cab I can't really complain. Hauling a cord of wood is easy enough, but making it a 3/4 ton truck would've been nice. Know also that this truck dents very easily!

WHILE I ENJOY THE NISSAN TITAN, I FIND THAT WHEN THIS VEH. GOES INTO LOW IDLE THAT I GET QUITE A BIT OF ENGINE NOISE. DEALER STATES THAT THIS IF FROM THE INJECTORS FIRING. IT GETS PRETTY LOUD AND IRRATATING AT TIMES. FOR SUCH A QUALITY BUILT VEH., I FEEL THAT THIS IS A PROBLEM THAT NISSAN NEEDS TO LOOK INTO. I HAVE CONTACTED NISSAN, BUT HAVE YET TO GET A RESPONSE BACK FROM THEM.

There is only one thing that I would change in this truck and that's the driver's seat. The truck performs and handles so well that the seat needs to be more ergonomically designed so it holds you in place better.
