Reliable cross country, in city, and in snow

I bought the car used in 2005 with 18000 miles on it in New Mexico. Today I have 213000 miles on the car. I drove the car cross country over the mountains of Colorado and California and the high deserts of New Mexico. In New Mexico I easily made 31 MPG in this car because I do not speed and accelerate easily. However in 2007 I moved to Wisconsin. I towed a Uhaul cross country from New Mexico to Wisconsin without a problem. In Wisconsin I can not get better than 26 mpg no matter how easily I drive. The octane in NM was 86, here I use 89. I attribute the loss in MPG to ethanol. I have spent LESS THAN 2000 dollars total in maintenance and this includes planned maintenance at 150000 mile with a tune up, belts, hoses, and timing chain. (No issue just replaced them all at 150000 miles.) This car has been a superb and reliable vehicle for me. There are quirks in the vehicle that are not important to me but you may find of interest. The faux wood trim is peeling away from the central air vents, the paint has completely came off all 4 door handles, my drivers side rear chrome ripped off in a severe wind storm later claimed to be F1 tornado. All these issues are not important to me because in the last 11 years EVERY TIME I started the car (EVERY TIME) it has started on the first try and has performed excellent. A few cosmetic issues for this quality of operation is worth it to me. The only concerns I have for this vehicle are: The A.C. seals failed at about 150000 miles. I moved from New Mexico to Wisconsin so guess what I never fixed it. It does not get hot here. If I lived in New Mexico still this would be a problem. The fuel gas cap solenoid failed and Hyundai wanted 95.00 JUST for the solenoid labor was extra. I finally fixed it after enough people chased me down to let me know my gas cover was open. (Nice people up here, tired of worrying them) The headlights burn out quickly in the car and the springs that hold the lights into the headlight fixtures could have used some simplicity instead of elaborate spring design. I have to remove the battery from the car to change the driver side headlight because my hands are too big for the small space. Other than this, the car has been excellent! If you can live with these superficial issues and want a car that has the quality where it counts, the 2005 V6 is a definite SURE THING for me. I once thought of looking for a 2010 V6 to replace this one, but the car still starts every time and why pay for a newer car when this one is still so darned reliable.

This 2005 Hyundai Sonata was my first car and I loved riding it. Drove it many miles never did I encounter any roadside problems. This car is reliable in the purest form, it gives first time drivers a luxury experience at a low cost price, with amenities that other first car drivers do not experience (power windows, sunroof, power seats, etc). The only trouble I ran into with this car was that only a minimal amount of times the muffler would either rust out or flat out break, and the antenna that goes up and down every time the car starts. The car is great and I would recommend this to any first time driver.

05 sonata purchased at 166k miles (mostly highway), previous owner serviced it at the dealership, car is very reliable if maintained well, people who complain didn't service their cars. Overall the ride is comfortable, acceleration, braking is good. The interior feels a little cheap, but comfortable. (That is how older hyundais and kia are so don't be surprised). Trunk is very spacious. The engine does have plenty of power. Many 6 cylinders Sonatas out there (they are actually cheaper than 4 cylinder cause they have worse gas mileage) I strongly recommend the 4 cylinder, easier to service, maintain, better gas mileage. I even towed a small U haul Box with a washer using the sonata

First car. Purchased used at approximately 112k miles. Even with so many miles, an absolute smooth ride. Brakes made a loud scraping noise every morning after first starting the car but then went away. Seems the body dented somewhat easily. But not a huge problem. Very very quiet ride. Surprised, actually, at how quiet the car was. Even on the highway. Had a problem with the automatic locks not always engaging after pressing the lock/unlock button. Might have been a problem with my specific car. Owned it for only a little over a month before hitting a deer and totaling it. Everyone in the car was safe. The deer though--pretty much, it was splattered. Highly recommended.

Bought New. At 75000 changed timing belt n plugs. CV Shaft, was under the 100k warranty. O2 sensor twice but under warranty as well. I got 114k out of the front braKe pads. turned the rotors and new ceramic pads and we're good as new. The electronic tuned suspension really holds down the g forces in curves. I a bigger guy so the front seat is a little crowded but my shorty wife has plenty of room and loves all of the extras. I've had it to 120mph. The car settled down quite nicely and maintain that speed with ease. It doesn't look sporty but it can hold its own if you need it to.

I bought a new Kia Sephia and had bad rotors after 2 years. Then, after 79000 miles, it had a bad front catalytic converter. I thought it might be a fluke, so I decided to buy a new 2005 Sonata, even though they're made by the same company. After 2 years the rotors went bad and warped. Then, 5 1/2 years and 63000 miles, the front catalytic converter went bad. I will not buy any Kia or Hyundai again, no matter how good of a deal it may be.

I am the type of owner who drives and maintains a car till the wheels fall off. That being said I typically buy new so I am assured of its maintenance and driving record. This is my first hyundai and I am so impressed I have quikly switched my alliegence from honda. Whatever they are doing, they are doing it right. It handles like a typical 4 door sedan except for less roll or g forces. It takes off like a rocket even when left in auto ( you can manually shift ) . But more important it has not had one single repair issue since ive owned it. This after 145 k miles. Thats right, 145 thousand miles. Not one breakdown. Not one tow. Not one replacement part. Bear in mind I do basic maintenence.

I have loved my Hyundai Sonata except for one thing. It started making a horrible noise from the rear at about 36,000 miles and has gotten much worse over time. The servicing dealership (Pinehurst Hyundai) would not acknowledge the noise, and the Hyundai Corp. simply ignored our plead for help.No Hyundai area rep would even take time to contact us! We are left with a vehicle that we can't sell and get anything out of because of this. The poor customer service has literally cost us thousands of dollars. If you are planning to purchase a Hyundai you need to consider that if anything happens They will not stand behind there product. That tells me that they do not believe in their product. Beware!

When my older son asked if I have looked at Hyundais I gave him a long stare. My 20 year old's need for a daily driver while in college got me to research vehicles. Went to test drive a Sonata and came home with it. Unbelievably smooth take off and stopping and everything in between. Handles like an expensive luxury sedan. Effortless steering, smooth cornering. The auto-manual puts you instantly in a sports rush. Superbly crisp sound. Oh and such distinctive exterior, jaguar like, without the Jaguar tag or nag. If I hadn't experienced it I would be still holding my long stare at the name Hyundai, continuing to hold my Mercedes', BMWs and lexus' close to heart. But now I'm a believer.

This was the best car we ever had! all we had to do was normal oil and tire changes. We owned the car for 4 years, until recently when I was in an accident. The car was totaled and the insurance company is only offering 1/2 of what we still owe! I kid you not when I say this was the best car ever! I was told that I was lucky, this car did what it was supposed to do and that was to keep those in the vehicle safe. I wish I had my car back! I cannot afford another one since i have to still pay 1/2 of the loan for a car I do not have! I can not afford to buy a car at all. If I could I would buy another in a heart beat. My 4 boys miss it just as much as I do, if not more. Thank You!

We have put 107,000 miles on this car in four years and it has not given us many problems. The only one it has given us is that the windshield wipers get stuck and you just have to loosen them from the windshield. Other than that this car has given us no problems and has even held up when I had a 2 hour commute (each way) to work each day.

I just bought this car and I'm already very impressed with all aspects of it. The price of a comparable Toyota or Nissan runs $2500 to $3500 more, yet the quality appears to be equal to them, You can't beat that. Jaguar styling hues (cool) ,solid feeling on the road, handles and rides great, plentiful amounts of torque and horsepower, yet drives like a more expensive luxury coupe. The engineering, over all quality and body fitment appear to be very high. I know of several Hyundai owners who all have had very positive experiences with their Hyundai vehicles.

I was skeptical about purchasing a less known name car. The car has performed wonderfully and I have experienced no mechanical problems. The Hyundai people are great for roadside service and questions. I do not work for Hyundai, but I truly am impressed with the warranty and ride. The mileage is great. The car gets up those mountain roads with ease. I would buy another one any time.

I do not own this car, but a family member to whom I recommended it to does, and I do drive it from time to time. Overall, it is a good midsize car. I thas the special edition package that includes heated cloth seats and automatic climate control. Comfort on long drives is fine. The ride is smooth and engine and road noise are well controlled with only an occasional squeak or rattle. The car was purchased with 23k and now has over 40k. Only needed new tires, brakes and belts in addition to regular maintenance, of course. The V- 6 has adequate power, but my much more powerful Azera gets better gas mileage. Overall, a good choice for a reliable used car at a low price.

Both the car used with 15,000 mile on it for $14K and have only replaced oil at regular service times. Wife loves it. Opens the sunroof and lets the wind blow through her hair with the stereo turned up loud. Handles great even from the passengers front seat (mine). Some times I even get to drive it if I am lucky. Have a Buick Roadmaster that is going to be traded for a new Sonata maybe an 08' or 09'. 30 MPG for the wife ans she has a lead foot. The new v6's have 50 plus HP so I know I will be happy with it and the interior is even nicer and roomier.

When I buy a car, I keep it on average about 9 years, about twice as long as the length of the loan. I will keep this car for at least that long. I like that its body style -sort of Mercedes/Jaguar looking. Glad I got one of the last new 2005's with that body style. The only complaint I have is the paint on the door handles (inside and out) is starting to flake off, especially on the much used driver's door. A small fix, I'm sure. I have only had 4 cars in my life (the first 3 were Datsun B210, Mercury Sable, Chevy Lumina -- I kept them for a long time, too). This is by far the all-around best one I've owned.

I bought this car for my wife, whom is also an import, for a first car to learn with. I was pleasantly surprised with the handling. The car feels very nimble even in the mountains. The 4 cyl engine is smooth, but noisy. Not bad after getting moving at a moderate pace. Everything is built cheap and lightly, which probably explains the nimbleness. It has standard cloth seats which are not very comfortable. Good gas mileage.

My 2005 Sonata has all the bells that you would expect to find on a car that costs $10K more. It's zippy - great for driving to work - and in the 3+ years I've owned it, I have NOT ONCE had any issues. It is the most maintenance-free vehicle I have ever owned. (Had a Ford Explorer and Mits. Eclipse before - both were ALWAYS in the shop.) In fact, 3 other family members have since bought Hyundais (new and used) and no one has had any mechanical problems, which leads me to believe that the negative reviews are fairly isolated. I am now looking to buy the Veracruz - sticking with Hyundai because of the value & quality of its product. I trust Hyundai and definitely would buy another.

Happy with look and performance of the car. Attracted by the "best warranty". After 2.5 years have found it to be built CHEAP, plastic that breaks, seats & mats have worn out. Reliability of car is HORRIBLE. In 2.5 years I have spent over $1,000 for service to maintain the warranty, $2,500 for items not covered by the warranty and the warranty has covered over $4,000 of items that have also broke. Reliability issues have been 2 dead batteries, had to replace flywheel, replace clutch - wore out in 21,000 miles, dome light, cup holders cracked, stereo, auto door locks replaced, alternater died, and steering wheel and seats have cracks and tears in them now. Never another Hyundai for me!

Hyundai won't admit this and the dealership says it's a recurring issue and nothing can be done...the windshield wipers just stop working....rain or snow. It's a MAJOR safety issue and there is no remedy. I've owned two Hyundai's and I'll NEVER buy another. Unless you want to jeopardize your life or the life of you children, don't buy this vehicle unless this problem is permanently remedied by Hyundai.

This is my second hyundai sonata, and I can say that, without a doubt, Sonata's are great vehicles. The power of the 4 cylinder is unlike any other, and the ride is smooth. It handles corners that other cars have to slow down for. I must say it is a good car for a single person, or for a small family. With loads of storage, and extra power ports for coolers, dvd players, or any such travel device, it is worth the money. with 10 year 100,000 first owner warranty, and 5 year 60,000 second owner warranty, it is definitely worth the money.

I had a 99 Elantra with 160,000 miles and it was a great car. I saw an ad for the 2006 Sonata and went to a local dealership. He told me that it would be several months before the 2006 Sonata would be available and wouldn't have any discounts for 6 months after release. I gave in and purchased the 2005 GL with the power moonroof as the only luxury. They gave me nothing for my tradein. The salesman kept me so busy using the shifter that I didn't notice the 4cyl engine vibration. I did the first day I took it to work and brought it in to be checked out, they told me all the 4 cyl vibrate that badly and there was nothing that could be done. I have had people stop carpooling because of it.

great car, great options, great warranty, smooth to drive, price is unbeatable, we have had minivans and suv's, but notice little difference in travel, trunk is huge for a midsize and long trips are comfortable. we come from a family that all work for the major u.s. car companies where we could use the employee discounts, we still chose the sonata. the other cars in this class couldn't compare.....we will definately choose another hyundai and reccommend it to everyone

After purchasing my 1st Hyundai in April 2005 it seems that every time I use my vehicle I find a new pleasant surprise. The power in this sedan is deceptive, I got more then I expected out of the 2.7L 6 Cyl. engine. My prior car was a Pontiac Bonneville and I would rate the Hyndai on par for comfort. In the sound system it was super. I keep my cars clean and have received a multitude of compliments for this Black (Ebony) and Charcoal interior. Last but far from least is the safety factor which I have researched and found to be exceptional. If Hyundai continues to build cars in this fasion, the have a repeat buyer with me. Good job guys !

Because of information on TV about Hyundai had grapped my attention. Upon seeing and driving the car I was surprised at how easy it was to drive, the power and a smooth ride. After checking the safety features I was truly a happy camper. It seems that every time I use the car I discover another amenity that I had missed although the Sales Rep. had gone through the car with me a number of times. The car also has small features like an area for a Cell phone or pack of cigarettes. The power the car has is not normally found in a vehicle that gets 26 to 35 miles per gallon of gas. It really is an car that gives you more than the price you pay.

Good value overall for the price range.Very nice design, features. A few problems - front corners of trunk too tight chipping paint, but mostly very very rough idle. Have had it back to dealer many times and cannot find anything wrong. Getting frustrated. As long as RPMs are over 900 runs very nicely.

I really like my car, a Silver, 2004 Hyundai, Sonata. I bought it brand new in July 2004 and have put about 9000 miles on it so far. The only thing I had a problem with was the fact that a few months ago the circuit for all of the windows went out, none would go up or down and the dealership I went to for help told me I would have to wait a week to fix the windows. Beyond the window problem, I do love my car. I also like the fact that the exterior design makes it look like i spent a lot more money on the Sonata than I actually did. Overall, I am very happy with my car.

I just turned 8,000 miles on my new Sonata (bought new) & still the best car available in my book. NO problems even through a tough slippery winter -- ABS & TRC pulled me through with flying colors! I love the sleek design -- everyone thinks it's one classy-looking vehicle. One friend summed it up by saying, "Wow... you can go ANYWHERE in a car like that!" It's true. We've driven across three states & the car is very comfortable. Love the back seat armrest & three seat belts, huge trunk, plush interior & fun driving. A/C cranks up fast, too! Classy black with beige interior, even in 90 degree heat it's not unbearably hot inside. Kids fit in the back, even my 16 year old son & his girlfriend.

Interior quite nice. Placements of all dashboard knobs ( for radio, heater, etc. )are conveniently located for easy access. Cruise control, fog light switch, and trunk and gas door openers, are conveniently located on steering wheel and on inside door near power window levers. Seats are comfortable. Sliding moon roof is very smooth operation. Good sized trunk. The outside is in a class all its own - looks like a very expensive car. Great pickup, smooth ride and easy handling. Is a pleasure to drive. Only drawback is that in town gas mileage is not higher.

After 12 years of driving a 1994 Ford Taurus, I finally made the jump to a new car...I like many did much research and you just CANNOT beat the value this car offers...completely loaded with everything an average driver needs for less than $20,000...I receive a ton of comments because it looks more expensive than it is and the black color just adds to it...I've heard the paint quality is not the best but that will be something I'll only be able to see after time...I plan on waxing and polishing the heck out of it to keep it looking as good as I can...HIGHLY recommend the Sonata !..btw, 1,700 miles to date and no problems...

I don't have a lot of miles, but so far I have really enjoyed the car. I traded in a 2004 Honda Accord, and have not regreted it. In fact, my old Honda is still sitting on the car lot. However, there is a faint vibration coming from behind the dash...and I cant find it. It is driving me nuts. Also the radio is probably the most annoying radio every made. Why is there a tape deck with it...can you still buy tapes? The car has been fun, it had good acceleration and makes heads turn. It's my mini- Jag. To my supprise, there are several aftermarket items for it. One last thing, it corners well, but tends to sway a little too much sometimes. I could put some anti-sway bars on or slow down....

Vehicle while not as finished in the interior as former cars I have owned such as Mercedes and Infiniti is still quite adequate and comfortable. Extremely quite and smooth ride. Performance not equal to higher ends but more than adequate for normal city and highway driving. V6 has good power and can get you out of the way when needed. Exterior is excellent is often mistaken for a Jaguar. Great lines and look. Warranty and service are on a par with my Mercedes and Infiniti experience. Dollar for features it's a great value, good looks, handles great and pleasant to drive. Lacks only in interior creature comforts but this is exceeded by the outstanding 10 year 100 mile warranty. $ for $ great

Has the confort, safety, room, & reliability as being a single parent. Out of my three cars I've owned (1994 Ford Probe, 2003 Ford Taurus, & this 2005 Hyundai Sonata) this is definitely the best. It is the most refined & the price is reasonable.

The car's engine runs wonderfully. I feel a little surging with the transmission and may have to bring it in to see what's up with that -it could still just be breaking itself in... I don't know. I had to bring it back about a week after I bought it because one of the front passenger map lights wouldn't go off (they replaced a fuse...the service is quite prompt) Other than that, it's a well made vehicle and I'd buy this car again if I had to do it over again.

I don't know if you would consider going from a Buick Century Custom to a Sonata a step down or not. But, the Buick only lasted 97000 miles before the transmission went out. 99% of those miles were freeway miles and the Buick was well maintained. The Sonata doesn't ride quite as nice as the Buick, nor does it have the pep of the Buick's V6 engine. But, for the money the Sonata is a nice car. And, I am especially impressed with the warranty, I wish the Buick had one like it. I expect to get many years of service from the Sonata considering the number of miles I drive per week will be dropping from 540 to about 25. I also expect the $250 monthly gas expenses to drop to pocket change.

Car handles well when driving even in the rain. Engine noise is not loud so I don't know why other consumer said it was loud. It looks like a Jag car on the road. I'm happy with the driving performance, I have a 4 cylinder and it felt like a V6. I feel Hyundai really wants my business and cares about their customers even long after you buy the car. I feel that Hyundai quality in the GL 2005 Sonata has improved so much that it can compete against Japanese cars. I'm beginning to see more people on the road with a quality car that can't afford a big name brand car like Toyota or Honda. This car safety features are great with standard side impact airbags.

Well I found myself needing a car a few days ago and shopped around.I stopped by D'arcy Hyundai in Joliet and there it was in the showroom and I immediately fell in love with this car. It had every thing I wanted in a car and it was standard. I also learned that this car came with features that not too long ago were not standard. This was a pleasant surprise. I have really enjoyed my Hyundai Sonata. I haven't had it more than 6 months but it has performed wonderfully so far. I love the comfort inside with it's plush interior and roomy seats. I don't have to rub elbows with whoever is in the passenger's seat. It is also large enough to store all of my Coast Guard equipment, which would overwhelm my closets. The outside is gorgeous, comparable to a Jaguar. People have assumed that my car costs a lot more than it actually does because of it's overall package. I also love the shifter, going from automatic to manual in one shift is handy when I am trying to get on the parkway and no one will let me in, Long Island anyone? Great car, satisfied customer

Just purchased a 2005 powder white pearl Sonata GL, 4 cyc, auto with a power sunroof (acc Gp 3), wind deflector,& mats for $15,500 including rebates. I have 500 miles on the car and it's a pleasure to drive. If you are looking for a good quality car with an outstanding warranty, and wish to spend 4-5K less than Honda or Toyota, check it out first before you test drive them. The tout is they will have a higher resale but not 4-5K more. The car could use a little more power (22 hps less than Honda), but lacks the "pop can" exterior Honda feel with more features than the basic Honda or Toyota. I've owned all three; Honda Accord, Toyota Camry,& now Hyundai Sonata. Drive it & weigh the difference

I am looking for a new vehicle and rented a Sonata for a 3 day business trip to Florida. I drove close to 800 miles in the car and came to the conclusion I would not entertain buying one. The ride quality is an odd mix of harsh on bumps, yet floaty and vague. Handling is slow and heavy. The interior is nice looking, but not enough legroom or headroom. Dash and switch gear has high quality feel, but then you find corners cut on a plastic fuel filler door. For ride and space I would choose an Impala or Buick Regal over this car. OR for a sportier ride, the Mazda6 or Honda Accord.

Much underated

I test drove every car in this class, and none of them drove as smooth and quiet as the Sonata. One of the pitfalls of front wheel drive is road noise. In this area, the Sonata excells with a very quiet ride. It's time for Consumer Reports to get over it's love affair with the Toyota Camry (a much overated, overpriced car.)The Sonata is an excellent vehicle, and a real bargain!

I've owned everything from a Vette to a Mercedes SL convertible and everything in between. I LOVE my Sonata and would buy another one in a minute. I've got friends who have purchased Sonatas and one that has an XG350 and they feel the same way. Hyundai has made tremendous strides in quality and reliability. My 2003 Sonata had ZERO problems the whole time I owned it. Quiet and smooth ride and fabulous interior and exterior design.

I had purchased a 2001 Hyundai Sonata and loved it. The opportunity to purchase the new 2005 GLS with spoiler and gold package came up and I am glad I took the opportunity. I hadn't always heard good things about Hyundais...but since I have owned one...I wouldn't want any other car. .

I looked around for the best deal and the best looking and running and best warranty. Love the 5yrs 60,000 miles, traded in a one owner 94 Honda Prelude. We had some good times but glad to see it go and much happier not having to crawl in an out of it. The trunk space is unbelievable. The car drives like a dream. Even my boyfriend thinks its the best thing I've ever done!

This is my first Hyundai and I must say that I am impressed!! Owned two Toyota Camrys before this and have had less defects/problems with the Hyundai then the Camrys... In fact, I haven't had any problems at all... I'm picky with my cars and I haven't found anything to complain about.. All in all, I've been very pleased...

I have had the car for two days only and I like it. For this price it is wonderful. Smooth engine (not noisy like I read in some auto web sites) and enough room for driver and passengers. Its acceleration is great and suspension is good enough. For these features another car will cost you at least 5000 dollars more. I recommended this car to my friends.

I purchased a 2005 GLS SV on 2/19/05. Same car as the LX sans leather seats and power driving seat. Everything else upgraded. Wow!....what a value...I financed $16K for a new vehicle. Give Camry and Accord a run for their money on all aspects and certainly beats them in value for the money. Resale is not as important to me as I will drive this for several years. I will be selling my 95 Accent @ 81k miles....too bad...it's been flawless and gives me 35 MPG. Hyundai, you have a life-long new customer. Job well done.

I looked high and low for a car that looked good, had a strong warranty, that had all the bells and whistles and that cost around $20,000. I found it! I have absolutely enjoyed my Hyundai Sonata, it rides nice, so far it has been very dependable, and it is good looking. Especially in white w/tan leather interior. I finally found a car I could pay cash for.

I bought a black 2005 Hyundai Sonata. Several people have commented that the exterior design looks like a Jaguar. I love the headlights, flared hood, and grill. It is very stylish. The interior is very comfortable. The car seems to glide down the highways. The brakes and steering require very little pressure to easily operate. The beige cloth interior is plush. The CD and AC/Heating controls are easily accessible. The trunk space is huge!

After a lot of research among mid-size sedans including Honda Accord, Toyota Camry, Nissan Maxima and Mitsubishi Galant, the Sonata just couldn't be beat. With side airbags standard, a V6 engine and decent gas mileage, I couldn't imagine paying more money for less car. I even bought-up to the model with the sun roof for under $18,000. It drives like a dream -- having heard on a website that the motor didn't have a lot of pick-up, I was concerned. But it has more than enough for me. It looks like a much more expensive vehicle, has a smooth ride and is very comfortable. After one month of ownership I'm still pleased.

Received this car as a rental for a week inplace of my Cadillac(what! no devilles for rent!,lol). When i got in this car i noticed it was quite decent. It was fully loaded but did not have leather(Hyundai's leather is cheap and rubbery anyway). This car accelerates, brakes and handles well, had a robust V6, sunroof, good sound system. For what? $18-19k, and thats without any discounts. I must note this car does have questionable high-speed handeling.

It is so sweet. The way it handles...drives on the highway...awesome. It is so good looking and comfortable I feel like I'm getting away with something. Do yourself a favor...test drive this sweet ride.

After shopping around for a few weeks & a lot of haggling (which I hate) I was able to purchase my Sonata for the Edmunds TMV of $19,015. The car is very comfortable and I'm getting 18 mpg city & 26 mpg hwy @ 75-80 mph. The downside. There is too much plastic used. The "chrome" is coming off the interior front passenger plastic door handle. Dealer has ordered a new one. CD player wouldn't eject, or play. Shut the engine off & disc ejected. Alarm went off while driving through a parking lot. I guess the computer corrected those problems as they have not reocurred & are working properly. Having to hold it under 55 mph for the 1st 1200 m. Excess road noise.

I was thrust into the car market by a car thief. I had some fast research! This car has exceeded my expectations! I challenge you to find the quality and value for a new car with all the features - Leather seats, front & side airbags, sunroof, V6, luxury interior trimmings, outstanding warranty program, road service, special rear view mirror and just pure value that the Sonata offers! Good Luck! If you are in the market for a mid-size sedan (Toyota Camry or Honda Accords or Civic) my personal recommendation is to take a Sonata V6 for a test drive, then use the money you just saved to take your new car for a cruise up the coast!
