First 18000 miles a great truck, after that changed turbo 3 times, changed 4 fuel injectors, brakes are weak. still trying to get the power fixed before warranty runs out.i have 25000 miles now i was told i need to run truck more. really good people at service department that i deal with i can call any time and get help from them i just don't think they get the help they need. i pulled a bull dozer behind this truck when it was new i never seen anything so strong until i started having trouble with it at about 18,000 miles one more thing when you hit a bump on the road frontend shakes really bad if tires are at all low of pressure.

I have had no problems with my 2005 XLT FX-4 Ford F-350 crew. It has 44000 miles on it. I pull a 28' Durango fifth wheel camper (8800 lbs empty weight), and I trailer a 19 foot center console Fishmaster Boat behind that. I travel all over Texas and I have not had a problem yet with my 2005 truck with the 6.0 diesel. As a matter of fact, I pulled the same camper and boat with the previous truck I had with the 7.3 and I believe this 6.0 pulls better! It is a little slow on the start, but once I am going I can do 65 to 75 MPH, easily keeping up with other traffic on the freeways. And no, I do not have any kind of power kit or booster.

Been a Ford person all my life. Have a 99, 7.3 Ford with 250,000 runs great and I wouldn't trade for anything. Got a 05 6.0 and it is been nothing but a nightmare and it is not just mine. We rodeo so we see many people with trucks and this is common. When you hook them up to a big trailer the built Ford tough do a bucking and jerking motion that will about rip your head off. All it takes is you to hit a bump to start it. Also from 40 thou miles now to 70 thou miles now I have put fuel injectors in the truck, three times. Fords answer to that, put injector additive. Ya, done that too These 6.0 are horrible and Ford knows it. What has happened to Ford?

Oil injection pump went out at 49000 miles; front end locked up and had to be replaced at 30000 miles-had it at dealer 3 times for pulling left before it actually locked up. A dealer in Alabama (or should I say sublet to a mechanics house) butchered repair and now it's being repaired back in Atlanta. I really don't call Ford a top notch auto manufacturer. Will see how Ford handles this one. Not sure what else to expect but know I'm very leery of driving it far. Would not recommend a Ford to an enemy. Its nice to make payments on a truck I can't drive.

Great fuel mileage at 55mph, about 22, lower as speed increases. People notice the truck. Fun to drive and safe in almost all conditions although it's hard to weigh down the bed in snow because of the large payload capacity. Tows almost anything; I have to look to see if my boat is still attached. Had Dodges and liked them but really like this Ford.

Good Idea, Bad Engineering.

The truck in general is a good truck. But at 30,000 miles I had the turbo replaced. Now with 50,000 miles my gauge cluster, shocks, and CD player are being replaced. The front suspension is being rebuilt by the dealer due to a terrible shimmy at all speeds (TSB). The brake pedal can be pushed all the way to floor, which I'm told is normal for this truck. Only 6 months old and 50,000 miles, I wouldn't recommend this truck to anyone, BUY A DODGE. I was a long time Ford fan, not anymore. Luckily I'll be getting a new one at 200,000 miles

While not listed as an option above, I own the 6.0 power stroke diesel. This is the best performing, handling and visually appealing truck I have ever owned. Power is unreal, fuel consumption is very good for an 8,000 lb truck. I travel extensively in my job and look forward to putting between 400 and 500 thousand miles on this truck.

A drug addict crossed the yellow line and hit me head on. Long story short, the Chevy 1/2 ton was sent to the junkyard and its driver went to the hospital. My truck has about $5000 worth of damage, and I barely felt a thing.

Definitely the biggest on my block, and the new 3V 5.4L V8 is all I really need. If you're not regularly towing 10K+ lbs on long trips, don't waste the $5K on the diesel, and stop waking up the neighbors. :) This new 5.4 makes more HP than the old 460, and almost as much torque but is 2 litres smaller. I get 14MPG around town despite the 315/70/17 (35") BFG all terrains I added. The 2.5" RevTek level kit ($215) gives it a perfect stance, and the tough exterior design is the best of the Big 3. I bought the XL because real trucks were meant to have rubber floors and basic options. Ford's chrome, carpet and leather don't really hold up over time especially if you use your truck like a truck.

Ford improved so many items on this vehicle. The ride and tighter turning radius is fabulous. The V10 is like an electric powerhouse. The 5 speed automatic seems to be improved. I wish the Ford temperature gauges actually told the consumer what the temperatures are in degrees. Reflectors on the towing mirrors are easily damaged with any encounter; need to be relocated. I tow an 8000 lb trailer and it is hard to notice its presence.

This truck has no turning radius at all. It bounces so much when speeds exceed 50 mph that your teeth rattle. In addition, Ford chose to remove some essential safety features, like LATCH anchor for children. I hate this truck. I will never buy a Ford again, or from the dealership

Traded a '03 Ram 2500 4X4, 5.8 hemi for this. Here are my observations so far: The Ram was an excellent truck, just needed something bigger. Best points that Ram has over the Ford are: - Has better storage under front seat, rear seat and front arm rest. - Better cup holders. - Better turn radius. Best points Ford over Ram: - Better ride when loaded. - Power slide back window. - Lights in outside mirrors. -5-speed auto transmission. Trailer Brake Controller! If no other reason to buy a Ford, this is it. If you tow, this is the best!

I just picked up my new F-350 Diesel. Build quality is excellent, everything works as it should and no issues. I am new to diesel having had several Ford gas engines and this diesel is almost as quiet as the V10 I traded. Great truck, I will report back when there are some miles on it.

This truck has been flawless. At 26,000 miles all I have done is put oil and fuel in it. I pull a 40' gooseneck trailer and that has worked great. I have the diesel engine; it is the dually and it rides well. It is a truck so don't expect a Caddy ride. Fuel mileage is not great but I geared it for pulling power, plus it's so fun to drive that it's hard to not put the throttle to the floor. Had Chevys before, spent to much time in the shop with them and the brakes stunk but the Ford built in brake controller works really great and you can stop this truck w/ABS, not with the Chevys I had. Their ABS tands for not braking soon.

After wearing out two F-150's I decided to step up. Now I get it. I needed more truck. This machine drives great, gets great gas mileage and is overall meeting my high expectations. I think wearing this truck out will take more than 2 years like my others. You won't get it till you own one.

I bought this truck to replace my 1999 F-350. This 2005 is basically the same truck but with the 2005 upgrades. The 2005 has some extremely nice features and some great safety features: The power sliding back window. The heated seats. The backup sensors. The built in trailer braking system in the Tow Command package (it is everything and more than the ads depict; the best trailer brakes I have ever used). The running light/turn signal on the towing mirrors. The heated/sliding towing mirrors. The lighted vanity mirrors. The speed volume control on the radio. The power passenger seat. The shorter turning radius. The 5 speed automatic transmission. A better drive over all.

F3-50 Crew Cab Long Box 4X4 V-10 Power. An absolute BEST BUY at $26,000. Single rear wheels capable of 10 tons on a 40' gooseneck tandem dually trailer.True gas mileage not as good as diesel. Factory rated tow capacity is 1400 pounds more than dually diesel and costs $12,000 less. You can buy a lot of gasoline for $12,000. And you can see where you are backing up. Now for the CONS: The steering radius on this truck stinks! We have owned 5 Power Stroke 1 Ton Duallys. All of them were 7.3 liters. The 6.0 liter engine failures are well documented . For heavy usage the 6.0 is not the way to go. The 6.0 will never equal the 7.3! The V10 325 hp & the torque are far superior to the 6.0.

Far better than the Dodge 3500 in mileage, comfort and towing. Not only used as business vehicle but as family automobile. The room it has is excellent, and the rear seating holds 3 adults well over 6" in height. The turbo allows for passing in small areas. I will never own another truck that is not a Ford!

We purchased our truck on the 21st.of Sept.and as of today (18th.of Dec.)we have over 7,500 miles loged on it. We use it to pull a fifth wheel trailer, and our combined weight is around 21,000.This truck is simply outstanding. We have covered parts of 7 states so far and driven all types of roads. In all conditions of driving we couldn't ask for a better riding or performing truck. I only have one small dislike and that is dirt or water down the sides of the vehicle. By widening the front axel as they did it allows more water and mud to be thrown down the sides, there by makeing it harder to keep clean. I have NEVER owned or driven a better performing truck !!!!!

Don't buy this PIG!

I had a 97 F250 Diesel and bought this 2005 F350 Diesel. This truck will not stay on the road and Ford can't seem to reproduce it. I would say that it is DANGEROUS! If they can't fix it I'm going to try and invoke the lemon law. Ford has always made the best trucks on the market, unless this is an isolated problem, they have now given that title up. I wouldn't buy another one! So far in two checks of milage I'm getting an average of 13.5 MPG. Not very good, since the old truck got 17.

This F350 Super Duty Powered by the 362 HP V-10 actually handles my 6-7 ton loads better than the 1 ton Dually Power Strokes that we have owned {5} units. This truck is SRW ,V-10 Powered 4 dr Crew Cab XL With cloth interior. We decided on this model Based on superior ride & the towing capacity via 5thWheel is the dame as the PS with DRW. We have had to make driving habit adjustments due to the lower MPG if you put your foot in the V-10.The truck is solid inside & out and comfortable to get in & out of after we put Chrome steps on it . Ford should darken rear door & rear windows. The truck is Built FORD TOUGH . We are proud owners of FORD truck #38 since I was 14 years old.Age 71

just traded in my 2004 chevy silverado 2500LT DIESEL x/cab with all the bells & whistles for this ford truck.i needed a 1 ton so i decided to go with the ford plus i liked the changes they made.i love the ford toughness, looks, power better than the chevy however the chevy is enbelievably the best riding and comfortable full size truck made.im not comfortable in the ford.the seats are hard and do not conform to your body like the chevy.i could drive 8 hours in my chevy and be so comfortable.if i drive 4 hours in the ford i feel very tired.the chevy i think is a rugged truck but i think ford builds a much more rugged truck.

Having had an F-250 in the past, I wanted to move up to a bit more towing and hauling capacity. New coil spring front suspension and shorter turning radius makes this large truck easy to handle. 6.0L diesel is a fantastic engine. Get over 18mpg riding around. Integrated trailer braking system is FANTASTIC. Stops my 35' , 14,000# travel trailer or my empty flat bed trailer 3500# empty with ease and no operator sdjustments required.Lariat interior is very comfortable. I make regular trips from Maryland to Montana and back. This truck is fun to drive as well as easy to drive with quiet comfortable ride.
