This was my first car purchase ever. I knew I wanted an SUV, but not a giant gas guzzler. I love that I can for the most part fit into most parking spaces. It does drive like a car. This car now has 130,000 miles and still going strong. I wish Toyota made them convertibles at that time bc then this would be my car forever. I've always wanted a convertible SUV, which there is one available now, that I am considering getting. But I am so attached to my Rav. Good thing my brother is going to buy it from me, bc it definitely deserves a good home. It actually has good sound too. I sure am going to miss my Rav if I do end up selling it. I'm fighting back tears as I write this review...sniff sniff.

Our 2004 Rav 4 has been a very solid performer and been reliable until today. At 78,000 miles (we just learned) the steering unit is leaking, the front brakes need rotors turned and pads replaced (2nd time). Also the water pump is leaking. All told - it looks like Toyota will charge $1200 to get things fixed. These are the first issues we've had, so I can't complain too loudly. Savannah Toyota has exceptional service and sales staff - so we don't mind supporting their business.

I have two Gen 1 2L Manual AWD Ravs. This one is nicer. More room, more storage space, more comfortable, more power, quieter, better fuel efficiency (~ 500 km @ 50l on the 2l Gen 1's and ~ 560 km @ 50l on the 2.4l Gen2). The extra 0.4L makes a big difference. I especially like the way the engine compartment is laid out. Much more room to work on the motor. My only complaint is the drive by wire accelerator pedal. I find there is no fine control at low speeds so low speed creeping, driving is not intuitive. It is certainly a step backwards to go from cable to potentiometer with respect to feel and man-machine interface. BAD: The transmission vibrates in 5th under load :(

I was researching for more than 2 months for buying a nice preowned car. My search ended with finding this gem at a good price. First priority was safety of my family and myself. Full marks to this car for the curtain airbags, anti-skid and all wheel drive. In deep-snow,icy conditions this car feel very safe and secure to drive. Highly configurable interior. the second row of seats comes off giving you a lot of hauling area. Was able to get furniture for an entire bedroom from ikea due to this and saved a lot of $$. Overall fun to drive on weekends with the family. Seats are well supported and interior is luxurious

Love the style! Of all the cars I've owned (7) this one is the most FUN to drive. Remote no longer opens the driver's door - a pain. The ride is surely not as smooth as my Camry, but I love this Cute Ute! I'm looking to buy one for my mom because it's a great size, has great visibility, and it's FUN.

In the last ten years I've owned a Subaru Outback, a Volvo wagon, a Honda Element, and now this little Rav, and it is by FAR my favorite car ever. I love the lumbar support in the seats, the Euro-style look of the dash and the way the dash lights dim automatically when I turn the headlamps on, the way my body is situated in the seat in relation to the windscreen and moonroof, the fantastic visibility, the way it maneuvers on the road, and that it can fit my whole family and I can still park in compact spaces in the city. Mine is the automatic L series with leather interior, sea foam green and tan leather, prettier than it sounds. I would buy it again in a second.

Excellent vehicle, extreme reliability is what Toyota is known for and the 04 Rav4 does not disappoint. 109,000 miles so far and the vehicle is just as sturdy and tight as the day I brought it home with 12 miles on the odo. I changed the Fan belt at , 52,000 and the brakes at 100,000 miles and thats it , still has the factory headlight bulbs, Toyota's durability really shines through in these vehicles. Its amazing, no rattles and little noises etc. after 109.000 miles. The seats have just been broken in , feel a lot more comfy now than when they were new. The styling is all Toyota, laid back and not flashy.

So far, this has been the best vehicle I've ever owned for several reasons. I got rid of a Jeep Liberty for the RAV4 and now I have confidence about easily getting at least 200,000 miles. The engine build is real quality. Nothing beats RAV4 in its class and the proof comes from owning it. Way to go Toyota!

This is the best vehicle I've owned hands down. After owning Jeep, Dodge, and Ford vehicles, I opted for this Rav4 and couldn't be happier. It handles well and after careful examination of the engine components, it is clearly better built than Jeep Liberty. Plus the Rav isn't nearly as thirsty at the pump as the Liberty.

Great handling for an suv not at all like a truck plus on freeway trips gets 30 mpg. Love the hood scoop on the S model even though husband says its non functional so far 3 years 33000 mile no problems whatsoever then again its a Toyota. Also test drove a Honda CR-V which had more room but at the time the Rav had better safety features like standard ABS, Traction & Stability Control that was not even available on the Honda.

It's one of the safest out there, I can personally attest for its front impact safety, I'm still here and thankfully my car could be completely fixed and its as good as new! I love it, and recommend it to anyone out there! It's awesome for college too! Traveling back and forth on breaks all the time it's easy to fit all I need in this car, it's the perfect size!

I love my RAV4. I went looking for a CR-V and found this car. It drives great, gets better gas milage than quoted, and runs great. I got 31 mpg on a long trip with the A/C off. I love the stereo controls on the steering wheel, which keep my eyes on the road. It is easy to park even in tight spaces and easy to turn around.

Reliable front wheel drive in all weather but snow and rainy wind storms in particular. Moved from east to west coast -- handles great, climbs mountain passes like a champ. Trac system a plus driving in ice and snow. Can cruise along at 80 mph with the rest of the traffic. Fine for city driving parallel parks with ease. Nice stylish car.

It drives great. Haven't had any problems. I can fit a lot in the back w/o the seats. Back seat passengers are relatively comfortable. Maneuvers well.

I absolutely looooove my Rav. The ride is so very comfortable that you just don't get tired of sitting for a long period of time. It's feels like more pep than 4cyl, the gas mileage is pretty good, and it's a cutie! This is truly an SUV that rides as the most comfortable care you can imagine. I have a bad back, and I no longer have backaches from driving or from lifting things in and out of the car. It's a perfect height for a lady like me who is 5'5". I am so glad I got this cute little jewel.

Waited over a year to FINALLY locate my RED AWD RAV4. It was sooo worth it. They just don't have any of these in the Southeast US. It drives like a sedan, looks great, handles well, and decent mpg for an SUV. Recently had FOB installed and considering other accessories. Planning to keep for a while. Liked so much bought a black RAV4 for the wife. His-n-Her's Rav4s...very happy couple. Looking forward to winter driving to see how AWD performs. Takes the sting out of giving up my faithful 4Runner. Toyota build quality and resale value make this a real peace-of-mind purchase.

Why did I purchase this vehicle?? SIZE SIZE SIZE. With all the SUV makers trying make their SUVs larger and larger, the RAV4 is a truly refreshing choice in a dying breed. It's ultra- compact exterior size enables me to park in the TINIEST of places. It's unbelievably fabulous turning radius makes U-turns a breeze, and it's teeny exterior dimensions make driving on the super-crowded streets of LA a virtually stress-free experience. It's got decent power, is pretty comfy with very good handling for an SUV, and gives reasonable fuel economy (actual calc.21-23mpg city & 26-27hwy avg)

I waited to review my RAV4 until I could see how well it performed in winter snow. It performed exceptionally well after a 12" dumping. The AWD, traction and stability control worked great. I really had to work to make it skid! (and that's with OEM tires) It's been great when going camping and it gets good gas mileage. I've not had one reliability issue in 14 months now. I have absolutely no regrets in buying this great mini-SUV.

Very pleased with the handling, ride andpower. The build quality is excellent. Very good fit and finish. For a small vehicle has great power and acceleration. Engine can be a little noisy at times, and garage door opener receptacle is kind of chintzy. Headlamps could be a little brighter. Other than that, it's a joy to own and drive. I'd buy another one in a heartbeat.

This is a great small ute veh. In general this veh is very fun to drive. Even more so in the winter snow. It has good ground clearance and has a smooth ride with smooth shifts. With the optional 6 airbags , ABS , Traction control , VSC and Side impact beams you feal very safe. It has a great turning radius and for a 4 cylinder has great pickup and go. In very low speeds (aprox 1 to 10 MPH) the transmition could be a little smoother (has trouble finding the gear you need) but once your acclerating normally your fine. In general this veh is built solid and if you treat it right by not beating on it, changing the oil and keeping up the maintaince it will last you well over 200k miles

So far put 8600 miles no problems to report to date, Awesome fuel economy for the type of vehicle avg 26mpg. Typical Toyota fit and finish and quality. Previous Toyota had 180000 miles without breakdowns and parts from the factory are very reasonable certainly cheaper than our Honda, also lot easier to maintain, don't have to take half the dashboard apart to change the a/c filter like our previous CR-V.

Nice SUV, just finished breaking it in. Front seats are really bad though, especially on long trips. Can't lay back comfortably, sitting up you get a bad neck ache. Best friend refuses to ride in it unless a figure out some fix for the seats. Could ride better on pavement. An option of touring non-all terrain tires would be nice, the A/T's are overkill for me, bit loud. Very flexible engine, though MPG suffers at high altitude in the mountains. A fine daily commuter aside from the seats. Could use better speakers also. With just the regular CD player they are overwhelmed.

I've had my 2004 RAV4 for about 2 months and have 1100 miles on it. It is well built like my prior toyotas and I have not yet found even one defect. Gas mileage is about 24 mpg in mix of in town and short trips, haven't been on a longer trip yet to test highway mileage rating. I have the L package which adds some real style to the base RAV4. Seats are comfortable and interior room is greater than it first appears. Solid feel and handling.

Sold my Pathfinder and got the 2004 Rav4 and love it. The full time AWD is a big plus over having to shift in and out. Much better mpg than a 6 cylinder SUV, 10-16 mpg vs. 21-28. Lots of safety features standard. Basically a great suv for anyone who doesn't go heavy offroading and needs AWD for winters and some off the road driving. the build quality is awesome, it feels so well built, much better than some much more expensive vehicles I have been in.

I enjoy driving my RAV for the most part. However, I can't rely on the gas gauge, it goes up and down. I have to use the trip meter. Also, it doesn't get the gas milage we were told to look for, which was one of the main reasons we purchased it over other small SUVs. Also, it sometimes revs up to 4 rpms g when going uphill (not a big hill). I've never had a car that did that. If I had it to do over, I would probably not buy this car.

Up to now I have driven only 1900 miles on my new Rav4 2004. The reading of the clock is hard to see from the driving position. It is too bad that there is no rear bumper, I worry that somebody may hit the rear door. So far I have not had a mileage reading of 23 mpg. per the window sticker. I have had a reading of under 22 mpg., but mostly 19 mpg.

I own a 2004 Rav4 L AWD in pearl white. I test drove the Tribute, Escape, CRV as well as the Rav4 and the Rav 4 was my favorite. It handles well in all types of weather and is pretty economical on gas for an suv. I have driven it up to about 90 mph and it still feels sturdy but once you go above 70 mph, the wind noise becomes more pronounced. Acceleration is much better than previous years, it is smooth and gets the job done. Braking is EXCELLENT! The interior may seem small but my 6'0 boyfriend fits with no problem. Initially, he thought Rav would be too small and wanted me to get something else, now he tries to drive it as often as I will let him.

Two of my neighbors had a Rav4. I asked them how they liked it. My husband and I went to the Daytona Toyota "just to look". A very friendly and helpful salesman greeted us. When we walked over to the pretty green gray Rav4 my husband said he knew that was the the SUV for me. I feel very confidents driving it as it handles real well. Everything on the inside is very convenient. The back opens to hold alot of groceries or whatever. I can say there is no other car on the road that I would rather be driving. Even the back seat is comfortable for adults or children. The gas mileage is great and that is important to me. Thank you Toyota for building such a great SUV.

This car is well engineered. It will retain its resale value for years down the road. It is responsive and extremely convenient. Lord don't know if I could handle a V-6 with over 200 horsepower in it if they decided to put one in. Brakes are solid and certain. Sound system is absolutely superb. Turning radius is most acceptable.

I purchased my RAV4 based on Toyota's reputation for reliability and I'm disappointed with the quality. This week the check engine warning light and vehicle control light came on indicting problems. The car has a squeal underneath at 15 to 35 mph. I drove it on an improved dirt road and since then have heard loud rattles behind the instrument panel. The visor clip is loose and of cheesy build quality and seems ready to fall off. The ignition switch is also loose and seems cheesy. The wind noise when the back windows are open is very loud and sounds like a helicopter taking off. The passenger window rattles when halfway down. I'm very dissatisfied.

I'm not partial to foreign cars, but this Toyota is an American car manufactor's dream. Very good eye appeal;Handling; excellant gas milage for a Suv, even a mid-sized one; great power & handling in 4Wh Dr.; Comfort galore on the inside; ample room in rear especially when rear seats are folded down, and even moreso when folded down COMPLETELY to the rear floor. I can't say enough good about it, nor can my wife, who does most of the driving. I just wish an American manufactor could do this good at these prices.

This is the second RAV4 I've owned; the first was an '01. I have had nothing but good experiences with both cars. The first had 40,000 miles on it when I traded it - all without any major mechanical issues or problems with build quality. I think the RAV4 is the best-looking mini-SUV on the market, and the '04 model offered such significant improvements in power, handling, ride and interior sound deadening, I had to trade up.

No serious issues but............

My only complaint is that it shakes or shimmys at 65 mph or so. i asked my dealer to check tire balance and they only test drove it and then told me, "We don't find anything unusual here." So, what do I do? Believe me, the steering wheel shakes back and forth on smooth highways, at high speed. Anyone else notice this?

I've wanted a Rav4 since 1996, but no dealer could locate a 5-speed with anti- lock brakes. I finally went with an automatic with all the safety features that became available this year: side/head airbags, traction, and stability control. No one can believe me when I tell them I traded my Audi TT roadster for a Rav4. I don't regret it one bit--well, maybe on those few days of great weather when I could throw the top back and let the breezes take me away. At least I can get more than one suitcase in the Rav!

We've only had the vehicle a little over a month. My wife and I looked at several similar vehicles before settling on the RAV 4. My wife drives the vehicle to work daily and the RAV 4's safety and handling features were much better than the competition. Specifically, it was the only small SUV to offer stability control and traction control. We looked at the Honda CR-V, Honda Element, Ford Escape, Mistubishi Outlander, and Subaru Forester. To date fuel mileage is better than expected.

I was never a fan of the Rav4. Earlier models were very unattractive. When my wife's lease expired on her Honda Accord, we began looking for a compact SUV that she would be comfortable driving. With some reluctance, I convinced my wife to look at the Rav4. She had owned a Celica and a Corona in the past, and liked Toyota's vehicles, but she had the image of the original Rav4 (with it's ugly side panels) in her mind. We ended up purchasing a black Rav4 L with step rails,a roof rack, full power, and leather interior. We are both huge fans of the Rav4 now, and probably will buy another one when our current one gets older.

I wasn't sure when I bought my 2004 RAV4L if is it was the truck for me, but now I'm convinced! My RAV has a nimble feel, excellent braking and handling, unexpected fuel economy at 30mpg and is fun to drive. With a 5- speed, 4WD & traction control it handles fantastic during the NJ winters. It's has a smooth ride, but also a slight SUV/truck feel, which is why I bought it. (I owned a 1993 Toyota P/U 4x4 and loved it!)It took 8 weeks (the sunroof was put in at port in the U.S,) to get after I placed my order, but well worth the wait !

Our RAV4 is everthing we expected and more. As long-time loyal Toyota customers (We still have our 1991 Corolla w/170,000 mi.) the RAV4 has met our every expectation with only one minor exception - wind noise. This vehicle is a pleasure to drive and ride in, even on long trips. Acceleration is very good with the more powerful 2004 engine. And design -- We have had a few second glances from young and adult alike. We plan to keep ours a long, long time.

Had a '96 Grand Cherokee but got sick of all the problems. I wanted to get a new car with: price tag at or below $20K, 4WD, extremely reliable, able to fit large cargo when needed, mostly a commuter car for work....only found 2 that met criteria...RAV4 & CRV. Didn't test drive CRV because to me it just looks tin-canny, and the wheels look too small to be stable. Advice to you would be to drive both and see. If you're looking for a family car, check out the Highlander ($5K more than RAV4). I bought a RAV4 and now have 1000 miles on it.

It also provides a perfect unobstructed view of the road ahead. If your looking for a small SUV you owe it to yourself to test drive this vehicle - it may surprise you - the more powerful engine this year makes a huge difference. So far its been a great vehicle, very economical, Usual Toyota fit and finish. I only wish that we didnt have a distributor here in the SouthEast region it was very hard to find the option or color combination we were looking for unless it was installed by this so called distributor which to me sounds like aftermarket. We had to be careful about the options like the remote entry on some vehicles were marked TDS which at first glance looks like a factory option but it isnt, it seems like it should be illegal to market these options unless the customers are told.

More fun to drive than my 525i BMW. Engine is a little loud on rapid acceleration. I am heavy on the accelerator and get 25 mpg city and over 30 highway. The 2004 has the upgraded engine with more horses. Ride is very comfortable but stiff and very agile.

EXCELLENT CAR!! This is the BEST by far I have ever owned. I drive 110 miles RT every day to my job, and I wanted something that was comfortable, good on gas and reliable. The Toyota RAV4 has proved to be all of this and more....it was very reasonably priced. The RAV4 drives like a 6 cylinder, is comfortable and roomy and has a great stereo/CD/tape deck. Excellent handling in the winter weather and rain. I would recommend this car to anyone, but especially to those who commute any distance. I get the room and comfort of an SUV with the gas mileage of a much smaller car.

Love my Toyota

Within 400 miles developed a rattle in the car, took it to the dealer. They changed the HEATSHIELD, again another rattle the next day, they repaired it. Now a rattle from the AC ducts in the dash board. Disgusting. I am a busy man ,dont have the time to spend in Service centers. Bought a brand new car for enjoyment. It has become a major source of DISGUST.

I first fell in love with the RAV4 in 1996, but it has taken me this long to convince my husband to buy one (he's a Corvette guy). The interior is very spacious and comfortable, especially considering its small overall size. It's fun to drive, has great pickup and lots of room to carry everything from a large TV to our two big dogs. It's fun to take to the beach and very easy to clean out the sand.

Well...I've only had this car for 2000 miles, but it's an extremely fun car to drive. 'Premium' sound system was poor. I replaced it with four Infinity speakers and an Excelon Kenwood deck because I couldn't get the top of the line system Toyota offered. After about 1000 miles, the engine 'loosened' up and now runs super smooth. Averaging about 28 mph.

I got the silver Toyota Rav4 Limited Edition as a graduation present in 2003. It`s a great car overall. The drives are smooth too, despite the potholes in New Jersey. My dad recommended it to me since it tends to snow in our area. It`s a great car for all seasons. I remember ramming up a huge hill of snow. You feel under control. The sunroof during the summer makes it look sexxxxxy.

Hondas and Toyotas are the best car for the money. If anybody tells you otherwise ask for the unbias proof. Toyota, I'm taking a guess, would be better at making trucks simply because they've been doing it longer - trial, error, improvement. I have no complaints. PS only get the 4wd if you really need it - you pay for it in gas.

I have driven my RAV4 L all over Texas and have taken two trips out to Las Vegas from Houston and I enjoyed every mile. The little Rav was more than I expected and the 30mpg was great. It handled the hills in New Mexico, Arizona and Nevada with ease. Even in the southwest wend it held its ground. In Northern Arizona I encountered snow and it did very well. The only problem I've ever had is with the rear wheel cover in a car wash that has automated brushes. The brushes tend to pull the cover off so I started using the type of car wash that doesn’t have spinning brushes and now the rear wheel cover is not a problem any more.

Wanted small SUV and test drove most of them. None compared to the RAV4 - it handles like a car but drives like a SUV without the noise and it is awesome in heavy snow. The 2004 model is well designed and looks different to all those other "standard" SUV styles. At that price and with all the features, why would anyone want to spend $10 to $20 thousand more just to have a big monster. Get the L package and you have it all.

This year should be big for RAV4 though toyota doesn't put more effort to advertise the fact that by using a 2.4 vvt-i engine with VSC, trac ctrl and disc brakes for 4 wheels, ABS on standard list, RAV4 packs a better value comparing the once class-leader CR-V, esp., at the entery-level trims. Except for the sometimes buzzy engine and high-rev transmission under harder accelerations, I don't have any thing to complain on my mid-january cross country driving from Massachusetts to San Franscisco. If you don't care extra several cubic feets cargo or backseat room, RAV4 offers much better safety features over CR-V LX.

The new 2004 version is a nice upgrade over 2003 and includes standard ABS and steering wheel controls. Well designed interior for practicality and convenience. The new engine is quicker and quieter which is a long overdue improvement. The manual trans. is smooth and easy to operate...unlike the poorly engineered CRV clutch. Major flaw- an oversized, ridiculously heavy rear door with a window that won't open. Puzzling why Toyota failed to re- design such an obvious flaw?! Also, the RAV4 could be a little longer for more cargo room. Overall though, this is a very well constructed vehicle and rates the best out of all small SUV's I test drove.

The toyota Rav 4 is a very reliable SUV. Not only is it fun to drive, but it handles extremely well in all weather. The RAV4 is my favorite SUV on the market because it is not a large vehicle, the inside has the same amount of room as a car, but the outside is big and off the ground. Being a college student, this is the perfect car for me because of its size and performance.

This is my first SUV and I love it! It is tight on the road not matter what the weather and is just plain fun to drive. However, since Day 1 there is a constant rattle coming from the front. The dealer remove the front end - could find nothing loose and sprayed the entire area with foam. This took care of the problem but it came back after 2 weeks! Unfortunately I will have to make the time to bring it in again and I only have 1000 miles on the car! The service manager said this was the 2nd RAV4 with a mysterious rattle.

I bought the RAV4 for my wife because she liked the looks and we have had good experiences with Toyotas. I would have preferred an Element, but she hated the appearance. Anyway, now that we have it, it is growing on me. It is somewhat underpowered, even with the new 2.4L, so if you drive quickly, avoid the automatic, as it will be constantly downshifting, which is very noisy. With a 5 speed it is O.K. Handling is also O.K., it seems a little less precise than a 2003, although that is from memory. Steering and pedals all have a very light feel. But reasonably enjoyable to drive, especially for an SUV.

I have had my Rav-4 for 2 months and put on 5500 miles so far. The 4-cyl is peppier with the improved 2004 engine and the 4 wheel drive has already proven itself in 2 New England smowstorms. The cargo area fits more than I expected with out having to put down the seats, but the legroom in the the front and back are tight. I used to have a loaded V-6 Accord and I don't miss it, I just wish the Rav had a optional V-6. I absloutely love it... only issues are a rattle in the dash and I had to replace a tire that was damaged and nobody had the Bridgestone tire I needed.

After countless weeks poring over the many conflicting reviews at the Consumer Reports, Power, Autobytel, cars.com, Edmunds, et. al. sites, I finally settled on the RAV. There was no consensus on the quality of any car I looked at--from Acura TSX/TL to Honda Accord to Lexus IS to Infiniti G35 to Nissan Murano. I obviously explored a number of possibilites but found in the end that I didn't want to spend too much money on a car, since I couldn't find one that was head and shoulders above the rest. In all of the consumer forums, car owners aired their problems with their vehicles--even the hallowed Honda Accord. Reasons I settled on the RAV4 are listed below.

Good handling, milege, breaks. Vehicle stability control and traction control terrific for this class vehicle. Wold prefer a six, not because it does not have enough pep but because it wouldn't have to work as hard. Interior is a little tight. If room in back is paramont, you can probably make a better choice.

Can actually get out without walking like Grandpa McCoy. Handles great in country on dirt roads, mud, sand, and fields. Easy to maneuver in interstate and freeway traffic and great visibility. Parking is a cinch, even parallel, and even I can back into a parking place with it - no problemo!

I traded my 2003 CRV to a 2004 RAV4 for the simple reason that the RAV4 handles a tenfold better than the CRV. I found my CRV to be "trucky", FAR too big for a "compact SUV" and had terrible road noise. I would have ranked CRV's seating comfort a 2 for me...the worthless armrests dug into my sides; the legroom in the front was shy of sufficient for me (at 6'1). RAV4 changed ALL of that...I'm glad I got one!!

This is my second Rav4. Both of my Rav 4's were dependable in any kind of weather. We get great gas mileage. It is easy and fun to drive and easy to park. It starts no matter how cold the weather has been. It handles snow drifts across highways and holds the road very well when slippery. It is all that is was advertised to be! The exterior and interior design of the new Rav4 is very attractive and just makes you want to get in and drive. The Sterio/CD is great too. There is plenty of head room in the new Rav4 to accomodate my husband. He doesn't feel cramped at all while driving it. Thank you Toyota for consistanly making an excellant product!

Love my RAV!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love this car everybody!!! I got a '95 civic when it was new and this is a welcome change. It's pretty friendly at the gas pump...I've been averaging 28-30 MPG! It's pep and style just mkae it so much fun to drive! The interior is very simple, sporty and user friendly. It's great for hauling stuff too. While you cannot fit everything in a RAV, it's great for trips to the supermarket and home improvement stores. This car is perfect for me and my family. We can fit 4 people reasonably comfortably and we don't find the interior driving noise to be bad at all. I highly reccommend this mini 'ute!

Toyota packed so much into this little SUV. Being based on a car platform, it has a fantastic ride, and handles more like a car than an SUV. The new 2.4L engine is a blast and still the fuel economy is great, considering that this thing has AWD - I've averaged 27 mpg. The new audio controls on the steering are great, and I like the 6 cd sound system with 8 speakers. The refreshed styling makes it look even better, and I love the new wheels. 4 wheel discs are now standard, and much more confidence inspiring. This car is perfect. Has AWD, with great fuel economy, offers Vehicle Skid Control and traction control, and great braking too.

The RAV4 exemplifies Toyota quality inside and out. I find the design and engineering of the vehicle to be exceptional. You won't find a loose bolt on this vehicle anywhere. It has more than enough power for a 2.4 liter engine and it turns on a dime. The interior design is well laid out. Instrumentation is easy to read and easily accessible. Overall, the best small SUV on the market in my opinion.

Overall, the rav4 is priced nicely for what it delivers. Although the engine is not powerful, I took it off-road and it handled well and was very impressed.

I have only been driving my new RAV for a short time, but I am already impressed by it's power, roomy interior, and thoughtful cabin design. I zip around town and on the freeways, all with little interior noise. The car has great pickup...much more than you'd expect for a 4 cylinder. It's so much fun to drive and kind to your wallet at the gas station.

If you're thinking about getting a RAV 4; DO! I loved mine! Some stupid idiot totalled it.=(. Now I'm shopping every where to find something that comes close to comparing. Haven't found anything quite yet. Too bad the dealers around here can't sell me mine again.

I was told by several friends who own a Rav4 that it is a fun car to drive. Little did I know that what they said was only half the truth. Not only is it fun to drive, it is easy to park, it handles the road effortlessly and it's a Toyota. Need I say more?

I just bought the 2004 Rav4. The exterior has been updated and it is much sharper looking than the previous models. The interior is also great! Although it is a small SUV, it feels like you are driving a full-size SUV. It has great pickup and drives very smooth!

The higher displacement 2.4L (vs 2.0L) engine makes a huge difference in performance. For around $25K you get a great many amenities, AWD, all the safety features, and impressive performance, without sacrificing affordability - I'm averaging 27 mpg. I love the 8 spkr sound system, heated leather seats (will come in handy in the winter)...the refreshed looks are lovely, as are the new alloys. Thank you Toyota for the 4 wheel discs this year. This car has it all, without straining your wallet. And it's so damn reliable. Good job Toyota!

The 04 Rav4 is a fantastic SUV. It handles the road well and the performance of the vehicle is incredible with the larger engine. The double wishbone suspension at the back is a welcomed improvement. The fog lamp design for the front of the vehicle is impressive and inside the cosmetic changes are very nice to see. You would be crazy not to consider this vehicle is you are searching for an SUV.

Picked up my car on 10/6/2003. Traded in 2001 Rav4. This vehicle has more pep whitch makes it easier to drive. Handling and ride comfort are also improved. Not quiet but less tire and wind sound than 2001. Many new safety features. Interior is comfortable, materials are good.

My Wife just bought the Rav 4 a few days ago..Not even 200 miles on the odometer yet. It rides great and handles well. It has every bit as much power as my 03 VUE with a V6.I was impressed with the standard feautures that other car dealerships nickel / dime you to death on. The steering wheel mounted audio controls is a very nice tough indeed. Finally Toyota has gotten the oil filter placement right..no more busted knuckles trying to change the oil or so it seems. If it gets the mileage that it's rated for it will be a very impressive little suv.
