I grew up admiring the abilities, looks and quality of the Toyota Land Cruisers. The first chance I got, I bought one...used...5 years old with a new model on the market. To this day, I feel like I'm driving the best looking truck on the road. This 2004 Land Cruiser is the most comfortable vehicle I have ever sat in. It drives flawlessly. It's heavy and rock solid. The gas mileage is expected to be kind of tough. It's a full time 4x4 with a V8...what'd you expect? I bought this truck for my wife to haul our kid around...I'm currently looking for another one to fill my spot in the garage.

This Land Cruiser is our 4th Toyota and I just can't say enough good things about this vehicle. We bought it with safety being our top priority and I feel very safe driving it; there are airbags everywhere and the car drives very stable. In turns, it does not feel top heavy and it accelerates well for the size of the vehicle. We have NEVER had any mechanical issues and that says a lot for a vehicle with some many extra luxury items; EXTREMELY reliable. I concur with the majority of the reviews, paying a few extra dollars in gas per tank is an insurance policy for reliability and safety!

Look anyone who owned or currently owns Landcruisers should be fairly well-versed with them. Everyone knows of their reliability & craftsmanship, areas where they are 2nd to none. No doubt they are huge and ponderous to drive and like any other large SUV are big boxes in the wind that return poor gas mileage. However, for pure reliability and comfort, toyota comes thru. This is a pricey vehicle, no doubt, and you would expect memory seats and a more appointed interior, but a true toyota buyer does his homework thoroughly up front and knows their strength is in the fact that you will own this vehicle for years to come and when you move on, most likely your loyalty will remain with toyota

These SUVs are incredible to drive, well-made and free of mechanical problems. I've never even had a shake, rattle, or roll in the two (new) I've owned. I can't say that about my past ownership of (new) Porsches, Corvettes, Mercedes, Fords, Chevys, VWs, Chryslers, or Pontiacs.

This was my dream car. In purchasing it this past spring, it has proven to be everything I'd hoped for. Fun to drive, reliable, and much cheaper to maintain than it's Lexus cousin, this timeless SUV is impressive at every turn.

This is my third Land Cruiser. My 1194 had over 1000,000 miles when traded on a 2000. I never had a repair only normal service was done. My 2000 had 65,000 and was much more luxurious than 1994. My 2004 is even better. Fabulous on the road.Very secure on wet highways. Have not tested in snow yet but the 2000 was in plenty of snow and never got stuck. I really can't think of anything that I could want more. I drove all the high end SUVs and decided on another Land Cruiser. None compare. If this one is as good as the last two, I will buy a fourth.

I will tell you haw it is: Suspension not that smooth, some reviews are telling “riding like on air”, NOT All wheel drive, all the time, eats more gas and that why most are complaining about GAS, but all wheel drive makes this car stable on the turns. Only 230hp, need more? get supercharger from Toyota TRD will give ya +30% hp. Price $55K not worth it get a use one for 30K same thing just same a lot on $$. Stereo system is not that wof- wof put a custom one. And the one that I have, makes wind noise from the from a front window. I thing if you looking for comfort, style, reliability, fun to drive this is the car ya.

overall toyota has done an outstanding innovation to its landcruiser while many people may perfer the sequioa becasue of the cheaper tag the landcruiser is well wroth the price it is a symbol of sucess you dont see many on the road ... compared to the sequioa its WAY more Prestigious

Resisted buying one. Have had MANY Tahoes, Yukons, a BMW X5, but this is by far the finest!My wife has a new MB CLK 430 Cab. and prefers this Landcruiser on a daily basis. She loves the Luxury and saftey combo. Easy to handle and great site lines. Reminds her of her old Lexus LS 400.Better buy than the Lexus LX 470. Use the extra 10K for the gas in this vehicle.

This is our second Land Crusher and we just love this vehicle. It has all the bells you could ever need and is VERY safe if you have kids. The Titanium rear and the fact that it's almost 6000 pounds, coupled with all the latest safety features to lend you confidence you are driving one of the safest vehicles on earth. It drives like a sedan and handles well in all the elements. I put an extremely high price on the saftey of my family and feel everyday that my wife and kids are safe. The extra fuel cost I'll trade for this safety.

After having 4 Runners for 7 years we moved up to the LC for the extra room for our growing family. Living in the mountains of colorado - I wouldn't want another car. There have times in the past 5 years when only Land Cruiser and Range Rovers were allowed access to our sub-division during snow storms. Their durability and reliabilty are outstanding. Their performance in the snow impecable and the 2004 has terrific gusto that makes it fun to drive. Only down marks are for gas mileage and it's the same size tank as my 4 runner so ... Otherwise - get this car!!! It's awesome!!

This vehicle has a major problem in the drive system. The mechanic at the dealership claims it is a design flaw. They do not want to fix it and Toyota will not return calls or messages. There is a problem in the steering column that they supposedly fixed, but still persists. This is either a dealership problem or a design problem, but Toyota needs to live up to its reputation.

I can't say enough about the Land Cruiser! All you can ask for in an SUV + the relibility of a Toyota = a Win- Win combanation in my book. I just LOVE this rig!!! Much more vechile than anything coming out of Detroit, including the Hummer. (Remenber, the Hummer IS a GM product. Two demirets already.

i bought this car in 2000 it is still in shape untill this day, i had many accidents and amazingly its not damaged ,its performence gets better and better whenever the miles increase,its sounds like a monster.In the desert its the most powerfull SUV its torque is amazing!

Built like a rock, dependable, reliable, impecable quality, and fun to drive. Handling is superb for such a heavy vehicle. Owned my last Land Cruiser for eleven (11) trouble free years. Pricey, but worth every cent if you plan on keeping it for a number of years. Has excellent resale value. Gas mileage isn't good, but mosy SUV's aren't.

Land Cruiser is the car everyone should own.It is fun to drive in the city or in the rocky roads of Joshua Tree National Park to the Snowy mountains of Big Bear. It handles the raod very well. We compared it to the Sequoia and other SUV`s there is just not any comparison. Yes, one has to pay for the safety and quality and if you have 4 precious little ones in it it is well worth every dollar. I am a proud, confident driver and owner of my Land Cruiser.

This is our fourth Land Cruiser and I can not speak well enough about it. What you notice first is the engineering. Everything in the Land Cruiser is well engineered and quality. Performance is good with the V8, ride is excellent both in town and on the Interstate. Breaking is outstanding. Handling is very good at low speeds with cornering a bit mushy as hou would expect in a vehicle of this size. Overall creature comforts are excellent. We did remove the third row seats as we need the space for equipment. The off road ability of the Land Cruiser is amazing as its handling in bad weather and snow.
