You would be better off investing in a good, credible, affordable vehicle. Suzuki no longer makes cars; therefore, the parts are difficult to find and most of their car dealerships are few and far between (in other words, very few exist to service those with Suzuki cars.) I purchased a 2004 Suzuki Forenza in 2006, and it had about 20, 000 miles on it. It stopped working in June 2013 because it needed a new PCM ($1,230 to repair) and it had about 103,000 miles. However, between the time that I had it and the time that it died, the car had major issues with gasket, valve, oil, trans sensor. Also, it had at least 4 recalls on parts so be sure to do your research.

We bought 2 Suzuki Forenza's from Dealership in New Smyrna Beach, FL. the first brand new and the second used. The A/C climate controls broke on both, only 43,000 miles on the second one! Right after warrantys were over of course! A $300.00 part! Had to pay the Dealership $90.00 to look at it and say "yep its broke" so they could send a report to the Manufacture in the hopes of fixing it free of charge or some kind of help? But of coarse they declined to help at all! This Multi Million Dollar company screwed over a loyal customer for $300.00!! The Dealership has never been very helpful or that friendly after you buy! I Would highly recommend everyone to stay away from Suzuki!! Built cheap!

I was so excited when i first bought this car. it was my first brand new car and i was excited that i got such a great price...unfortunately all that changed 2 years into owning it. the check engine light had been an on going problem since the beginning. multiple small problems arose in between then and now. the pickup in the car when accelerating is very slow. as for the last 2months. i have had the car in the shop more than ive had it at home. it has not been able to pass inspection for the THIRD time. lets see its had, a head gasket replaced, antifreeze leak fixed, serpentine belt replace 2x, new thermostat 2x, new pcm ,still not fixed now. buyer beware!

I bought mine new in '04, have been blessed with only minor items.Overall experience has been great. At 57,000 miles I need to spend $1200 on "normal" things like a water pump,struts, transmission flush, and timing belt. I cannot complain.

I thought I would give the Forenza a shot when I bought it. The stereo was good and was the most comfortable out of all the cars I test drove. This is my work vehicle so comfort is important. I have over 106K miles and the only thing I replaced is the brake switch. It took two days to get from the dealership and cost me $15.00. I replaced myself in their parking lot. It is not a luxury car but it has definately met my needs. It will run for another 100K miles.

I had a 100,000 mile or 7 year warranty. Right after 100,00 miles everything broke! I have to get new struts on all 4 wheels, new wheel bearings, the electrical is bad and the cigarette lighter is broken, It's going to cost thousands to repair, and of course not under warranty anymore.

I got my Suzi at 35k. I love my car. It has a sunroof and other cool stuff. The engine has its own quirky sound. It's the perfect family car for 4. The sunroof button is starting to stick. I would never trade it.

This car was purchased primarily because of the cheap price & options. If only I had been wiser. It worked well for about the first 2 years. However, city MPG is usually 20 or less, which doesn't make much sense for a car of this size/class. I've had numerous issues with the car alarm randomly sounding & the engine not turning over at all. At one point, it took over 30 attempts to turn the engine over. It was in the shop 5 times, yet the Suzuki dealer couldn't solve the problems. Go figure. The paint job is cheap & chips/scratches way too easily. Buyer beware: you can get a brand-new used Corolla for about the same price as a new Forenza. Get the Corolla, avoid the hassle.

I bought my Forenza new and have had little problems with it. Replaced the headlights within two years and just recently one taillight. The reason I say loved, is that I totalled it this past weekend. I was involved in an accident and the whole front end of the car whas demolished. Yes this is good news, the whole passenger compartment was fine. The officer said he was amazed that the four of us walked away. I've heard good things about Suzuki's safety and now I can say that they are true.

When I bought this car new, it didn't seem too bad, but man was I mistaken! This car is rough and shoddy. After the initial 500 miles were put on, any semblance of confidence in it was worn off. I'll spare the details and just go on to two main points. First, the value has dropped like a rock. Second, anytime something needs done to this car, you better be ready to wait for the part to come in and be ready to pay through the nose for it. I just got the brakes done - discs were $90/each and I had to wait a week. Call your tire stores and find out how many of them stock 195/55R15 tires. Few, if any will I'm sure. Save some dough and frustration: buy a 5 year old Civic.

Overall quality and ride is good. I like the idea of it being a heavier car in its class, a little over 2700 lbs. I would only say this, if Suzuki put the muscle it puts into its motorcycles into its cars, WOW! I realize that Daewoo makes most of their autos but this company has such great potential in being more than it is. They say most of Suzuki's cars are quirky and I agree but this is why I like it. I am aware of some of Forena's mechanical problems, they are small and few compared to its competitors. Suzuki still has one of the best warranties in the Industry! Keep on digging in!

This car is like a fun little James Bond car! It is always easy to drive and fun to get around in. Everything about this car is ergonomically correct. The design under the hood and inside the car are too cool!

The poor Forenza takes so much abuse. I don't doubt that these problems do indeed exist for its owner's but I have had only two problem's with mine. The CD player usually takes 10-15 insertion's before it will play. This is the second one and it is as bad or worse than the first. It was replaced under warranty. The second problem is an erratic idle. Sometimes it will idle at 2,000+ RPMs at start-up or even after driving on the freeway and exiting, but I found a fix for this 98% of the time. At 15+ MPH come to a HARD stop (no skid) and wait 3-4 seconds. Why doe's this work? I have no clue. Otherwise I have has no problems. Also, performance tires make a HUGE improvement in the handling. I love mine.

I bought this car because it looks good and the warranty is great, and when we test drove it we like the how it drove. After 43,000 miles, we can say it has been very dependable and caused us no problems. This one is going to our daughter next year for school and we will likely buy another for the wife.

The car handles great for a car of its type. Its looks are great especially in black. The interior is way better than the Aerio's lint trap. The lighting resembles that of Lexus and Mercedes. I did have a few problems such as the ssps going out shortly after I bought it, and had it repaired three times. The headlights also went out completely. I have also put four headlights in the car in the last year. The center console / armrest really bugs the heck out of me though. I eventually broke the plastic latch, it has been bent both ways from getting in and out of the car and putting weight on it (imagine that, putting weight on an armrest). The stereo is OK and the headlights dim when you push the brakes.

I've put about 36,000 miles on this car and would have recommended it to anyone looking for economical yet fun transportation. That is, I would have right until I found out nobody sells parts for them but the dealer. Before you buy one of these give your local parts store a call and ask if they carry Forenza parts. Anything beyond something simple like an oil filter and it's back to the dealer you'll go, and you know the prices they charge. Yup, I love the car all right, but the lack of repair parts means I'll get rid of it soon, and I won't buy one again unless that changes. Too bad...

This car has been a real dog from the beginning. The only good thing is it's under warranty for 9,000 more miles. However, I doubt we will keep it that long. We have had repeated problems with three different sensors and had to issue a complaint to obtain a car to drive while mine was being serviced because of its poor quality. You couldn't give me one of these things.

Bought this car to have a new reliable way to get to work (100miles/day). Within the first 5,000 miles we got a rattle in the dash, now at 30,500 it still is not fixed after 5 trips to the shop!, We also have had 5 check engine light experinces, replaced throttle body and control arm bushings. The car is at the dealers more than my driveway. I got a lemon off the lot! Will never buy another Forenza. even the floor mats wore out in less than 20,000 miles

I've had my Forenza for over 40,000 miles and I've taken it to about 20 hours of open track events plus autocrosses and she just keeps holding up! Have only had one problem which the dealer fixed. I have no complaints, I love this car!

My fiance and I were in the market for a new car when we stumbled across the Forenza. We began to research it and others in its class. We were amazed at how many standard features came with the S! No matter which car was compared (again, in its class) with the Forenza, time and again the Suzuki won hands down. It's a sprightly little car that's fun to drive. Really. Even with the auto. This will be our first car together and our first Suzuki. Needless to say, we bought the S and can't believe how much we saved over the competitors!

Bought the car for price/gas mileage. For 12K (tax,title,interest on loan included!) great value for the $$ Only one problem with the gas pedal being a little sticky otherwise not too bad. did get hit by someone going about 10 mph and it ripped the bumper off but still I'm happy overall. Gas mileage could be better with the rubber band they put in for an engine though, I get 25 around town and 30.5 on the open road which to me is not good enough.

before purchasing my suzuki forenza s, i drove a 1993 ford probe. so getting the suzuki was a step up. my 50+ conservative, typical know it all, car loving dad loves my suzuki. its a wonderful car. i commute back and forth to school 30 miles each way and it makes the trip much more enjoyable and bearable. i can drive in the rain with ease because of some special feature on the car. i haven't tested in the snow yet, but i'm sure i'll do fine.

My 2004 Suzuki Forenza in fantasy black looks great, even when it is dirty. It handles well and accelerates with ease. It has lots of room and the seat front tilts down to take the preasure off the upper legs. This is a new design for 2004, so look forward to the introduction of aftermarket parts to upgrade my car. It does need mud flaps. Its only down side is the road noise, but this may be cured with a tire upgrade.

i was just in a horrific car accident this last thursday and was hit in front & driver side going at least 65 and the car being destroyed however, Saved my life. i was NOT taken to the hospital and when it is time to select another one i am HIGHLY considering buy it again.. its a great car, roomy,luxurious,comfortable..just wish it got better gas milege as the corolla.@38 MPG!. its a great bang for the buck!...

After looking at the Corolla, Civic, and 3 sedan I decided to choose the Forenza because it had a better interior than the Corolla and Civic but was cheaper than the 3. While 120+HP doesn't seem a lot, it's plenty for a compact car this size and I have no problem accelerating to 75 on the highway. I absolutely love the interior design which looks fabulous and from a car twice this price! So far have had no problems and I am really impressed with GM Suzuki!

We just purchased our '04 Forenza a couple of days ago. It is a gret car, with great options. I am a little concerned about it being the first model year, but all reviews looked promising. For the money you can't beat this car. It has fabulous standard options and provides a solid ride. I would recommend it to anyone. The stereo, warranty, and styling also make it hard to resist. When compared to some other cars in its class, I don't see how anyone could pass it up!

I really like this car. It is fun and easy to drive. I do not like the gas milage, but I guess that expected when I drive 80 miles a day. $20.00 a tank every four or five days is pricy, but the overall price of the car is unbeatable. It is not much more than to buy a quality used car. Great car, I would definatly buy another.

My first impression: I didn't like it. Then I saw it in person and drove it. Second impression: I bought it 2 days later. It's an incredible little car. It looks so much nicer than the others in this segment, at least in my opinion. Coming out of a Pontiac Sunfire Convertible, I'm amazed at this cars excellent feel.

Just purchased my new Forenza and so far I love it! Lots of fun to drive and lots of great features. I traded in a 99 Acura 3.0 CL. I can honestly say I like the Forenza as much or better. Took it on a 400 mile trip 2 days after I bought it. Very comfortable and lots of fun. I almost hate to pull into the driveway and get out of it.

This vehicle offers the BEST value in its class. I test drove a lot of cars before this one, and just by sitting in it you will notice the difference in the quality. It feels sturdy and substantial. Not to mention it is quite good looking.

There is no comparison! The style, quality, price..it beats the Civic hands down. Forenza has more features better warranty and better selection. I was very impressed and bought my last Thursday. We just love our new car & believe we had made the right choice. You have to go & test drive it yourself, you will be amazed. The price is incredible compared to what you're getting. Mine is blue & has all the features anyone could ask for. I would recommend this car to anyone. So much more room than other cars in it's class. Handles great & sound system is excellent & I don't listen to the radio..I do now. I'm VERY pleased with my Suzuki Forenza.

I had a Volkswagen bug and had just had a baby so I was on a hunt for something a little bigger. I wanted a jetta or a smaller suv. The forenza really caught my eye because it looked similar to the jetta. We put my daughters car seat in the back of a couple of small suv's like a rav-4 and when I sat in the passenger seat my knees touched the dash and I am only 5'2. When we put her carseat in the forenza we were amazed at how much leg room I had. My husband is 6'1 and he also had a lot of leg room when sitting in the passenger seat. After checking out the inside, cheap insurance, great ratings and the price - we were sold!

Only had the car a few days but it is good solid basic transportation. bought to haul me back/forth to work. fuel mileage is amazing (35mpg!) quite comfortable and pick up is very good. ride is a little stiff but it has all of 300 miles on it! dealership was great, really gave me a good deal, warranty ammmmmmmmazing

After seeing the commercials, and advestisements in magazines I decided that the Forenza was at least worth a look. At first glance the Forenza looks a lot like most of the cars in its class. The exterior styling is fresh and new. The interior is very well equiped, especially in the LX modle I purchased. The most impressive thing about this car to me is the durability, and quality in the materials used to make it. After having an '03 Maxima, and comparing its materials and quality to the Suzuki Forenza I found myself amazed. There really isn't any comparison; the Forenza just feels all around like a much better built automobile.

We bought a new Foreza in Dec. of 03 it was taken back for minor issues at 1000 miles. So we thought. It was taken back at 1500, 2800, 3000, 3450 and finally 3500 miles. All for excessive smoke out of the tailpipe. The car has been in the shop since June 1st of 04 with the engine taken apart. We where told there was a problem with the cylinders or pistons. They where not sure and Suzuki inc. didn't know what to do about it. Well over 2 months later it is still in the shop with the engine torn apart. I have filled on the lemon law. I could not get suzuki to call me or give me an answer on when it may be fixed. It seems that it should not take 2 months to repl

Features abound on this car. Power everything, consoles, lights, features you didn't know you were getting. Very nice car with an unbelievable price. I purchased my Suzuki Forenza sort of blind sided. I have previously owned Suzuki dirt bikes, yet have not had any exprience with their automobiles. This car is fun to drive and handles like a much more expensive automobile. The speed sensitive steering is a must. Also, the first automatic transmission I have thoroughly enjoyed using. Both in regular mode and in the "hold" mode. The stereo in this vehicle is "the bomb". One reason I purchased this car, is that I drove this car. 28 mpg is not bad either. I bought this car for the price and have been very pleased with the overall experience. Suspention is soft on the road but tight in corners, engine with the five speed is peppy(compared to other small sedan base engines Toyota, Honda, Focus), and the build quality is great. The Forenza is very comparable in size to my wifes Ford Contour and the overall ride is much better than the Ford Focus. Suzuki did a great job with this car. This vehicle will get over 30000 miles a year put on it so it will get a good work out.

Thus far the forenza seems to be a great buy.. Been driving it for a little less then a month now and have no problems what so ever. I am impressed with the warranty on it and for about a 1000 more you can increase all warranties to match the 7 yr/100000 mile powertrain warranty (including the roadside assistance.)

I recently purchased a Suzuki Froenza after looking at other vehicles. I was impressed with all the standard options and the warranty. This vehicle has road side assistance and comes with a rental if it is to be in service for more than 24hrs. This is a plus when you need a vehilce to get around everyday. Obviously a consumer may get turned off by the fact that Suzuki is not really known for sedan cars, but this car is wonderful. I wanted to buy a vehicle that has a lot of style/ comfort and reliabilty and a good warranty so I chose the Forenza. I purchased this car last Saturday and am happy with all but one aspect of the car...it pulls to the right regardless if I'm accelerating or driving at a normal speed. I have made 3 trips to the dealer since buying this vehicle and have been told that this may be NORMAL for this car by the service dept. There is no way it is normal to drive off the road! I have also been told that the hard pull to the right when I accelerate is due to the torque steer/pull. That it is normal for it to due this.

purchased the lx auto. handles and acceleration is very good for a small car even a 70mph. interior is nice and roomy with a exterior that is well finished (i am 6'2" 240lbs). according to my daughter sound system is very good. under the hood everything is easy to find. plugs and wires can easily be replaced. oil and filter is ok to change.

He likes it because the manual is very peppy. The handling at high speeds is superb, very tight. The gas mileage is as expected on highways. The Exterior is great, looks similar to the Corolla S, also has Altezza like tail lights. The interior design does not look cheap at all.

This car is incredible (especially for being a suzuki)! I was skeptical when going to test drive it but when I did it amazed me. The variable power steering is awesome and gives you alot of control over the car. Even though it only puts out 126 horses, it really wants to get up and go. The interior styling is superior over its opponents. Over all the egronomics of this car (being a suzuki) leave me flabbergasted!!

Shockingly, this is a lot of car for $13,500. At first I was looking at the Verona, but I saw the Forenza in a brouchure. I loved its look better than its older brother and kept asking when it would be available. It just so happens that the first shipload came in the next week. So instead of buying the Verona, I saved a couple thousand and bought what I liked better. Now I'm eagerly waiting for aftermarket products to personalize my Forenza.

Best price in town. 19,000.00 CANADIAN dollars 2- The ride: Quiet car on highway. Transmission feel as it is electric motor driven. This is an exellent car for the money overall but with a few obvious, easily corrected, cheap details. It's ride and handling were superb even at higher speeds. Interior was quiet and the ride well controlled. Fit and finish were generally on-par with the class. Very good mid-size car at an economy car price, though resale value is still questionable.

We just bought our Forenza this past Saturday, and we are very impressed. Suzuki cars are not well known in America, yet, but they rank up with Hondas and Toyotas in Pakistan. We love this car, and the way it is made. We have a 2000 infiniti G20T, and for an entry level model, the forenza is impressive. I am still looking around, but from the three cars that I have test driven, Matrix, Elantra, and Forenza, the Forenza made it out ahead. I can't speak much for the fuel economy or reliability on this model personally, but I can say this: Forenza is roomy, handles well, great interiors, very nice exteriors, and a great price. Listen, the toyotas are nice, but their sales volume is not giving them much to work hard or be nice with me. The elantra may be a little cheaper but the Forenza handles well. I would definitely recommend buying this while it is costing less.

I drove a 1990 Suzuki Swift for 14 years and just bought a new Forenza. It is an amazing car. Beautiful design. Sits higher than most cars. I really like the S model since without the sunroof on the higher line models you get many inches of additional headroom. Amazingly quiet; no wind noise at all. I can't imagine anyone buying a Civic, etc over this car.

Lovely car, great for anyone of all ages able to drive it. great pick up great breaks. Confortable, and smoth driving. great on gas, great on milolage, it hase a good look to it, casual car. In the lower ranges of expencive cars. I think that anyone who does not wanna have to worry about playing a butt-load on gas then this would be your car:).

This is a great car to buy for a first time buyer.It has a lot of great features like power windows,locks,it has a CD changer and cassette,controls for the radio on the stearing wear.I also like the brake pad on all 4 wheels instead of drums on the back.I handles great.I would buy another one in the future.

I was at a car show and was not really looking to buy. After seeing many cars and not being to impressed, I saw the Forenza. I ended up buying the car that night. The overall design of the car was very appealing to the eye. All the standard features was a big plus. All the other cars were very basic and kinda plain inside. The price was right and also good gas mileage. Having great fun driving. My first new car in 20 years.

Lots of room, comfortable , cute and affordable. I Love my new Forenza. Great gas mileage and lots of trunk space. The armrest with the cupholder on the backseat is great for kids to put drinks in. Less accidents. Very family and Pocketbook friendly car.

Liked price and looks and features and price,real sporty. Just got and having fun .One nightmare was the only way to get it was the high financing for 66 months of 296.00 and 100.00 down ..What happened to the advertized low payments ,this is going to turn off my friends who like my car, can anyone help on a better rate. After careful comparison shopping to the point of driving every car salesman in town crazy, I chose the Forenza LX . The fit & finish are better than the Nissan Sentra & the Honda Civic in this class. The refinement of the ride and smoothness of the engine, along with lower levels of wind & road noise, made the choice a no-brainer. I found the Sentra too cramped, the Civic was too sparse & noisey for the $$$. Standard 4wheel discs & steering wheel mounted audio controls are a big plus. Interior design & plastics are first rate. The Corolla was lighter on features for the price. Suzuki is well equipped to gain loyal repeat customers along the way.

This has been a wonderful car for me...but not without its problems. I've already had to return to the dealership several times for emissions issues, alignment problems, and most recently fuel difficultues. Despite the fact that I drive primarily highway miles, the car stubbornly refuses to get anything better than 18-19 mpg-- horrendous for a vehicle of this type (with an engine that only puts out 126hp)!!! I am seeking help from Suzuki in solving the problem because the dealership is stumped. The necessity of filling up the car after only 200 miles of driving is a major annoyance.

I love this car! It's easy to drive ,handles great, and gets great gas mileage! It's a great first new car!!!! The cassette/cd player,and speaker system is awesome!along with the controls for them on the steering wheel. What more can I say!

i drove about 15 small cars before i got this one , it's got alot pick up and go.. i drove it from pa to ca and back last week alot fun to drive .. the money i save on this car WOW..i ran into snow and rain did real good ..i love the fact i could had got something bigger ..but i save about $3000.00 on this car and and got good car..and becuse the back sets fold down i got room for very thing i need to get in my car.. one thing i did see looking for cars was all about the same size but big name cars cost alot more, and so seem to small on the inside

This Suzuki is pretty nice. Euro styling in and out, looks better than most of competition. Also the good price doesn't hurt.
