Ill start off by saying that I absolutely ADORE my armada. Its an awesome, beautiful, powerful, comfortable vehicle that I enjoy getting in every time. That being said, the 2004 model is an absolute failure when it comes to reliability. I have had a magnitude of issues with this car since about 6 months after I purchased it. Here are my problems and my actions The 06 model would be your best choice as i have heard of limited problems with this.

I've had The Tank for almost 6 years now, and the first 95K were absolutely trouble free. Since then, I've replaced the radiator core, A/C condenser, and most recently the right side exhaust manifold, not cheap, but considering the 108K of extremely hard driving, and $4K price tag for repairs, it's been well worth it. I'm on my 3rd set of tires (last two Bridgestone)...fuel economy is still brutal, but considering 6 years and over 100K, I'd buy another if Nissan would continue to build them.

I bought my Armada new and have been hauling 3000-8000 pound loads bi-weekly for the first 4.5 years. Only have done scheduled maintenance and replaced the front brake pads at 90,000 miles and have replaced 2 sets of tires. This is the best truck/suv I have ever owned. I live in minnesota and this truck starts in below zero temp every time. I now have a 125,000 miles and it runs like a top. It also looks brand new. In the past I have killed ford f150's and chevy 1/2 and 3/4 tons with all the hauling I do. This truck has out preformed all others I have owned. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable suv. I still have the original back brake pads and will probably get 10- 15k miles

I have 120k miles on an '04 Off-Road, and there has only been the brake rotor problem, which Nissan took care of, eventually. I routinely tow 8500 lbs. with it and haul about 500 lbs of tools always, and the truck has held up really well. Better than my previous 2 Expeditions on all accounts, especially comfort & handling.

Purchased this vehicle new in DEC of 2003. I knew it was the first model year but it was a Nissan. So how many problems could it have? I'll tell you how many, more than I could have imagined in my wildest dreams. This vehicle is a piece of junk and I felt the exact same way as another reviewer. Nissan should be ashamed of themselves! Problems?, exhaust, window, levelers, brakes, overhead console, electronic powertrain module, oem tires, and squeaks, rattles and shakes that are by far the worst of any car I've ever driven. And I'm 53. Don't know if things changed this year but the armada was rated one of the 5 least reliable vehicles for 5 years running.

Multiple problems - Brakes problem replaced and then returned - Nissan would not replace again. Transmission Leaks, Oil Cooler leaks, Window switches and motors. Oil pressure is all over the place but Nissan and dealer say it is normal. Of course out of warranty and no help from dealer or Nissan. Now the tire pressure sensors are bad. No more Nissans for me, ever.

Have owned this car since new, continue to keep this while trading/leasing others. The size, ride and functionality are incomparable and we have had minimal problems with a first year model. Highly recommend this vehicle to those considering. Do your homework. The brake concerns are to be expected for a large, heavy SUV that gets traditional auto miles. We have 65k miles and are going in for our second brake job... the first was covered. 2nd set of tires are in great shape. Compare to a Suburban/Expedition by taking a drive test... it is a hands down winner.

We bought our Armada new in Aug 04. Loved it from the start. Great power, tons of space. Had the usual brake issues, dealer handled it for free. Squeaky A/C fan also fixed free. Over 54K miles now and still going strong. Used it to shuttle 5 men for weekend trip and all commented on how big it is inside. MPG is no worse than other big SUVs, so I don't know why people complain. You know what to expect when you buy these things. We plan to keep the Armada at least another 5 years if all goes well. Why replace such a fantastic vehicle?

We bought 2004 Armada new. We loved the room for the family. Soon we noticed lots of noise and was told with in normal limits. Then squeaky brakes again told normal. The ride is rough. The DVD player ruined our DVDs. The interior is falling apart. While driving down the expressway (no overpass) our sun roof exploded! We were told again this was not a defect and we had to pay for that to be fixed. Sunday we were in another state for my grandson's birthday and the car quit. Had it towed to Nissan dealer hip and told engine blown. Something came loose & hit the engine.Waiting to hear if they will cover it. The cost will be $8-9000. So now I have a $16,500 loan on a car that is worthless.

After studying all SUVs in this size I selected the Armada, overall best price and design features. It has only had one warranty repair (warped brake rotors). Now at 40,000 miles it still drives very well, no leaks or any other issues have come up. Fuel economy is disappointing, other vehicles I have owned of this size have done much better. I would buy another if fuel economy were improved. A very good well thought out vehicle if you are looking for an SUV in this size.

I have owned a 2004 Armada since May, 2004. I drive about 12k miles a year and overall not a bad vehicle. Yes, it does have some electrical problems, but Nissan has never given me a warranty problem. The rotor problem was fixed free of charge. Any vehicle that weighs 3 tons will use fuel, brakes, and tires. The ride is good, internal components are better than other SUVs. For the money, a strong engine, transmission, and room.

I love it!!

I purchased this vehicle after trading my Infiniti SUV, although a little skeptical, I was instantly impressed. I have been driving it for almost 2 years, I don't hear a rattle. There was a recall issue with the brakes, dealership repaired n/c, no problem. More recently DVD system compartment rattle was also repaired and replaced by dealer. Comfortable seating for extra large adults. Roomy and attractive.

I now have 55,000 miles on my 04. Overall I have been happy with it. There is absolutely no other sport ute that has the space, power and value for the money today. I usually change my vehicles every 2 years but I will admit I am spoiled with the attributes this vehicle has and I simply cannot see paying over $50k for trucks with fewer features. It does rattle a bit, my seat squeaks at turns, have had 3 brake jobs but you know we also had an 06 ML500 @ $60,000 and it had just as many problems. We got rid of the ML and believe it or not kept the Armada.

Since we have owned this car, there has not been one day that there wasn't something wrong with it. I have 50 plus pages of invoices from warranty repairs. Brakes, rotors, windows, doors, seats, seatbelts, leaks from various places in the engine, exhaust system problems. Its loud and squeaky inside. It's big, spacious and fun but not worth the time in the shop. Not to mention the fact that the dealership and Nissan corporation have been pains to deal with. Seriously, get a suburban.

I have owned a 2004 Armada SE 4wd since May, 2004. For a $40k vehicle, I would think the build quality would have been better. Also, the Armada burns up tires pretty fast, about every 35k miles. Too many times I've had to take it to the dealer for recalls and/or warranty repairs, and recently I have had to battle Nissan to warranty a replacement of my moonroof glass and seal, as it has started leaking like a sieve. Status of this > $1k claim: pending. I really like the styling and interior layout, and the engine is powerful and smooth. However, the amount of time it has to spend in the shop is appalling.

This is one tough vehicle!

I have been very pleased with the overall performance and most important, the safety/durability features this vehical offers. I was recenty rear-ended at a speed estimated 40 MPH. My Armada had minimal damage, however the vehicle that hit me had to be towed away w/significant damage. This is one tough truck!

DO NOT BUY ONE OF THESE OR ANY NISSAN JUNK. It spends more time in the shop then on the road. Nissan should be ashamed of themselves.

I bought my Armada 12/18/06 with only 13,000 miles and what a mistake. The DVD vibrates terribly (Nissan Said nothing wrong). The truck has more rattles than I can narrow down. I brought it back to Nissan they fixed some of them but it's still rattling. This morning I was unable to close my drivers side door and had to drive it to the dealer holding the inside handle. I will be trading it in or selling it shortly though I love the room and the horse power but Nissan does not build a quality product. This might be because it's the first year but I traded my 03 Acura MDX for the Armada with 50,000 miles and it never let me down. At this point I will never buy a Nissan Product again. Sorry.

I enjoy driving this truck ( I do mean truck because this vehicle rides nothing like the Tahoe we owned just before purchasing the Armada) Additionally, Nissan needs to pay attention to the details like brakes that squeak, DVD rattles, and tail gates that fail to operate correctly. Besides that the vehicle has performed well.

My armada is been great to own. I can take it anywhere and the ride is very smooth. The indicators in the dat for low tires, wiper fluid, etc are all easy to see and understand so there is never any concern about a problem coming up that I did not know about. It handles on the highway better than any vehicle, car or truck, I have ever owned (which is many since 1999). The acceleration is great. I do not have to worry when passing other cars or taking off from a stop that I will not make it around. It is been wonderful.

Having the vehicle in Fla was great until I moved to NE. Being flat, no hills and no pot holes in Fla I believed this SUV was as smooth as silk. Ha! being in the country in NE up and down hills, windy roads, uneven pavement and pot holes I found out pretty quickly how noisy, unbalanced and terrible the suspension was on this vehicle. However I have been quite lucky and surprised by how it handled in the snow considering I have no 4wd and I've been in 12-18" of snow many of times. I have had issues with the breaks and seem to have to get the pads and rotors redone about 2x per year other that that no other problems with the vehicle.

This vehicle has been nothing but a pain since day one. I have finally given up on having the interior rattles fixed, we just live with them now. Two weeks ago the brake system failed and had to be towed to the dealer. this week air conditioning not working (but it's only 90 degrees outside) Engine still making a strange knocking noise that dealer can't find. Front end squeaks over dips. Save your self the headaches, buy something else. as far as towing, towing 8000 lbs is impressive however, on the boat ramp it is weak. on any incline, armada will roll backwards while in drive with or without trailer. on ramp, parking brake will not hold armada and boat in place - has to be put in park

I looked at all the large SUV's. Toyota seemed top heavy. Ford felt cheaply made. Chevy seemed too much of a truck. Dodge is just ugly. When we tried the Nissan, I thought finally a good looking SUV with all the specs and still cheaper than Chevy or Ford. I have never bought a Nissan before. I've only owned Ford, Pontiac and a Jeep so this would be a new experience. I can honestly say this is the best car I've ever owned and planned to buy Nissan again. I have 4 kids and this has been a life saver. Everyone has plenty of room and comfort and I don't feel we compromised getting what I wanted. The kids have the DVD and I have piece and quiet.

Overall it is simply the most powerful, best looking and most roomy SUV in its class.....and that alone is saying a mouthful. Sure the interior is a little cheap, but you canÂ’t have everything. Bold bodacious styling, all aluminum DOHC V8 that will dust a hemi, and a huge, roomy and comfortable interior. Nissan spent the money where it counts in my book. Compared to where GM, Ford, Toyota, etc., etc. spent their money....I would go with the Armada any day. With that said, I did have to replace the front brakes. I got online, found some slotted rotors and ceramic pads, and fixed the problem permanently myself for about $300. I didn't fool around with the dealer's poor service.

I purchased the Armada New in Nov of 2004. I have had the vehicle at the dealer 4 times for brake issues, 1st time a 7000 miles, 2nd 11,000, 3rd 20,000, 4th 36,000. Brakes still do not function properly, pedal depresses to floor to come to complete stop. Nissan tells me brakes are "within stardards" Very frustrating having a 7,000lb SUV not stopping. Sun Roof switch replaced 2 X's. Temp/direction in mirror still acting up. Car is now shaking at higher HYwy speeds. SUV is very roomy and fun to drive but, I do not like to take a NEW SUV in for work every 6 months. Very Poor Reliability. Nissan Should have fixed the problems before they sold the Car. I may never by another Nissan again.

I love Nissans. Maxima was my first NEW car. Loved it! Fell in love with the style of the Armada when it first came out. My biggest fear was that it was manufactured in Canton, MS. I wasn't sure it was going to be dependable. But this SUV is great for large families. I have 3 kids and all 3 car seats fit in the 2nd row with room left over. Nobody smashes fingers trying to get their seat belts hooked.

Traded in a f150 supercharged harley truck for this truck due to family size increasing. Was worried that I would miss all the horsepower that I had. Not so!! I love the power of my Armada and the stance. Had brake issues after about 15,000 (rotors too small on 1st year) dealer replaced with bigger rotors and we haven't had any problems since. Only issue I really have is plastic center channel speaker cover on dash rattles and can get annoying. The gas mileage isn't the greatest but what do you expect with all that power and torque. I recently researched resale value and even with it's superior options and bigger cabin the Armada still takes a backseat to the Sequio, which I think is wrong!

This SUV has the perfect amount of room on the inside BUT it is a PIECE of JUNK. The interior is cheaply made and easily scratched etc. I have had a tremnedous number of items replaced on the inside -the DVD player, DVD console in the ceiling, leather cover on a passenger seat, ac vent, volume control button on the steering wheel (this needs replacing again)drivers window had to be worked on 3 times, passenger window also, back of front passenger seat had to be replaced, brakes 3x's, lots of rattles when driving---it has NOT been a good experience. Love the size and the amenities in it but it is cheap!!!

So Impressed!

I bought this 2004 Nissan Armada in 2003. I have 35,000 miles on the odo. currentlty. Let me add I haven't had a problem with the suv since I purchased it! Looks nice, pulls my 7,000 snowmobile trailer nice, and hugs the road fairly for such a tank.

I love this vehicle! My family has had a lot of fun. It performs well. We have had no problems with reliability or anything at all that I would not recommend this vehicle to anyone shopping for a SUV. Lots and lots of room for familes and friends. It has more power than any other vehicle in its class and it tows our pontoon boat easily! It's a smooth ride and so fun to drive! You can feel the power!

We have loved our Nissan Armada. It has tons of room, tons of power, and drives excellent. We have had the typical front brake problem, but Nissan has a remedy for that problem. Some rattles, but the Dealer is working those out. Best big SUV on the Market. More power than TAHOE & SEQUOIA.

I bought this vehicle used from a BMW dealership in August 2005. It was only 10 months old and had 27K miles on it, came loaded with DVD, NAV, Bose. I also bought with full knowledge of the problems that the '04's have, rattles, brakes etc. This prompted me to buy an extended warranty. So far so good, I've put 9000 miles on the truck in 4 months without a single problem. The brakes are great no dust or pulsing i.e. none of the problems that have been reported, possibly because it had the brake rework done on it before I got it. A Nissan dealer confirmed that for me yesterday. So it appears that, for me at least, the brake rework makes a difference. It's big, lots of airbags and comfortable.

Very pleased overall with my 2004 Armada. Interior design could have been dressed up a bit (LE Model), but performance is excellent. A few rattles in dash and front door panels. Mileage about what I expected - about 16 on the road - but long distance driving comfort is excellent. Mountain performance superb. Very maneuverable considering its size. Like distinctive external styling. No mechanical problems (30,000+ miles). Bose audio and DVD system great. A bit cumbersome to flip second row bucket seats to access third row seating, but once you get there, a very comfortable ride. Like the deep throated rumble and acceleration is excellent.

what could have been the best hands down SUV on the market is a junker. The vehicle has plenty of power but the quality of the materials used is sub par. So, interior mars easily, squeaks, rattles, and bellows. Leather seats are already loosing their shape. Brakes were an issue, but with the new replacements they're great. The exterior plastics are showing signs of sun damage (this vehicle is kept in the garage). the longer we have it, the more strange noises we hear and the more i wonder just how reliable this vehicle is. Dealers we have dealt with have been very unhelpful. If I could do it over again, i would not have bought this vehicle. $46,000 worth of headaches. buy an excursion.

I've had 3 expeditions in a row and had very few problems. Thought I'd try something different so I leased the Armada. What a mistake!!!! This is the worst vehicle I've ever had. This truck has been in the shop 6 times. Brakes have been replaced and disks reworked due to design problems. Overhead console is ready to fall off due to the horrible install job on the dealer installed DVD player which now doesn't evn work. The squeaks and rattles are so bad that I can hear them no matter how loud the radio is. Downers Grove Nissan is an absolutely horrible dealership. I'm so disgusted with this truck and dealership that I'm trying to dump it for another Expedition.

In the two years I have owned it, it has been in the shop 12 times for rattles, 3 times for brakes (they keep patching them and telling me Nissan won't allow them to change them until they get really bad because of lack of parts), and numerous other times for various other problems. I plan on replacing it with a reliable vehicle soon. I will never own another Nissan.

Problem, after problem. Nissan isn't as cooperative as they should be, considering they know many of the problems associated with this truck. They pretend they're hearing these problems for the first time. I've had this truck at the dealership more than any vehicle I've ever owned. I am never 100% satisified with their repair work. I've had problems with the brakes & rotors, 4 -wheel drive, roof console,(it fell)and now still rattles after it was repaired. I had to replace the tires after only 25,000 miles(my last truck I got 65,000 Miles out of the tires) The sunroof also rattles. The dealership said rattles are only covered for the 1st 12,000 miles(read your owners manual)Poor quality.

Nissan refuses to provide parts to fix the brakes and we have driven this shakey vehicle for 8mths. We have a water leak, rattles all over, power steering pump moans and a wind leak around the door. The transmisson has a shutter in it. Nissan has fallen to an all time low. I have owned nissan since 1985 and will never own another one. Stay away from nissan products if your smart.

I purchased the first Armada in Illinois and have experienced the "first-run syndrome". After fighting with my dealership over floormats, Nissan stepped in and got me the mats gratis. Nissan has a serious issue with the rotors on this "beast" as they warp every 20K- 25K miles. Nissan is aware of the poor materials and is looking into a new manufacturer. Nissan is gladly replacing all rotors and pads when they warp due to the excessive heat produced by the large vehicle. Overall I enjoy the Armada and am happy with it. I can't complain about gas milage since I was aware the Full size SUVs have poor MPG. However..we actually got 24MPG driving to Naples, FL this winter!!!

There are going to be problems with first run vehicles. So far I haven't experienced any of major proportions. The lumbar support needs fixing for tall drivers but this is minor. I love the way this vehicle runs, drives, rides on the highway etc. Coming from an Astro van, I can tell ya about rattles and squeaks. This vehicle doesn't rattle anywhere near a GM, Chrysler or Ford product. Haven't experienced any problems with the brakes and if I do it will be a good reason to upgrade to slotted rotors. Overall impression is if ya want a fast, fun hauling beast the Armada is for you. And compared to its competition, it still tops the American products in quality.

I wrote a review on 5/1/04 in favor of the armada, i guess i was excited. If you are thinking about buying an armada listen to me and save your money and time. Let's start out with 4 brake jobs (rotor problems of course), wind noise in the rear window, a defective fan, a cupholder that opened everytime you applied brakes and shall i go on! Of course with your warranty they will keep fixing it over & over & over. I decided to seek a remedy with a lemon law attorney. You do know that after 4 repeated repairs of an important part your vehicle is considered a lemon. Don't let nissan get away with this. Fight, fight, fight for your rights!! I hear the titan and the 2005's are no better!

At only 2,700 miles the Front Brakes need an overhaul. It is sad that this is such a common problem for such an awesome SUV. Ton's of power and very smooth Trany. Consumer Reports complained about Engine and exhaust noise, get a clue, it's a V8 SUV. It happens to be one of my favorite things about the Armada, the deep exhaust and powerful sounding engine. We have four boys, and they love the room and especially the BOSE DVD system, it ROCKS!!! Almost bought a Toyota Sequoia based on their their awesome track record. They were more $ and under-powered. Nissan has built a great SUV other than a few little rattles and their one big problem, the brakes.

This truck will blast you out of your seats with the power. It's amazing how much power you get out of an SUV of that size. Love the truck and would drive it all day. The only set back is the interior squeak/rattles..and the front brakes rotors. Everything else is on point with this truck. If you live in California and you have had more than two safety related issues (brakes) seek the advise of an attorney. My wife and I purchased our Armada 10/03 and @ 4k miles we had our first brake problem (warped rotors). The dealer machined the rotors and replaced the pad. @ 9k miles warped rotors again. The dealer replaced the rotors and new pads. Again @ 13k & 16k warped rotors. Because of all the vibration (warped rotors) that went on during the braking it cause a lot of the interior components to loosen up & made the Armada sound cheap inside. We had other problems with the tire pressure monitoring system, Windows & air conditioning. Nissan reluctantly refunded our money. CA lemon law

I'd like to begin by saying that I am in the process of trading my Armada in for another vehicle because all of the problems I am having. This might contradict my ratings, but that's because the issues I am having are all due to bad construction rather than bad design. The Armada beats every other SUV I test drove in every aspect save interior quality. Such cheap and soft plastic!! Terrible gas mileage, but to be expected from something that dyno's at the rear wheels around 340HP. Nothing like darting past little 'sports' cars around town in something 4x their size.

Overhead compartment squeeks like crazy. New Tork Converter, Transmission, 4 New Michelin Tires and New Overhead Compartment @ 7300 miles. Sunroof rattles along with everything else. New brakes @10,500 miles. Front end still shakes. waiting for next go around of rattles to start. Overall 30+ business days in shop so far. I have called Nissan Corporate 4 times they promise calls back, but never deliver. I was thinking of creating a web sight called "My Armada Squeeks, Rattles and Shakes." Think before you buy!

After only 20,000 miles the front rotors have been turned down twice. The front braking system was replaced once and it appears that it will require more attention at 26,000 miles. There seems to be 4 - 5 thousand miles between brake repairs. The rotors become warped and either require machining or replacement. It appears that the brakes are undersized. The same braking system is used on the Titan, which has a similar record.

I loved it the minute I saw it. I slapped on some chrome wheels and everybody I drive by stares at the thing. The rumble of the V8 and how it lurches this vehicle to 60mph in 7.0 is an adrenaline rush. We've taken it everywhere on and off the beaten path. 6 of us took a trip all over the southwest in absolute comfort. The DVD/T.V. for the kids is a must. The dual A.C. system works very well... especially here in Arizona. Gas mileage is as expected... not good. I did have front brake problems, but are fixed now... bad rotors. It's not as quiet as a Tahoe or Expedition (test drove those two before buying), but it's a trade off for looks, power, the exhaust note and feeling of security.

I have about 2700 miles on my Armada. The gas mileage (about 11.5 in town; about 14 on the hwy.) and the squeakes, especially from the driver's window, has made this vehicle a bad experience. I took it to my dealer for the window and was told they couldn't fix it and hoped that Nissan would come out with a bulletin on how to fix it. However, I do enjoy the room and comfort of the vehicle.

We have had our Armada since Jan, 2004 and have put over 16,000 miles on it! We test drove it and the Sequoia and felt the Aramda was better. It has to be the "badest" SUV out there. We took it on a 5,000 mile trip to San Francisco this past summer and the Armada was outstanding! Had to get the left rear window motor replaced. Several squeaks and rattle here and there. I am blaming that on first year gremlins! Hopefully Nissan will fix that in future models. The gas mileage is terrible, but that's what you get with that awesome engine! I am thinking of installing a Borla exhaust system and see what that will really sound like!

I just want to say that Nissan has made this soccer mom of 2 boys and 2 dogs very happy! I absolutely love the look, power, size and rumble of the engine as I drive my Armada to preschool field trips and carpool line! I also love the looks I get from people eyeing the car and I'm soooo happy to have a car that not only looks great, but also has power and chutzpah!

We looked at all of the large luxuary SUVs and drove the ones we liked. All of them had limited leg room for rear passengers. We first saw the Armada going down the street in downtown Las Vegas. We both did a double take and loved the styling. Within days of returning home, we test drove and bought the Armada. Going from a nice leather mini van to a V8 loaded SUV is a great feeling. Tonight we went to dinner, cranked the Bose, opened the moonroof and grinned all the way back home. The only interuption was the sweet voice of the GPS nav system telling us how to get back home. With 1000 miles on the OD, it might be too early to judge, but we love it so far!!!!!!

This is an SUV that drives like a muscle car. It has a lot of zip! I love the styling. It shows a lot of attitude! I have had some issues with minor things, such as the electric seats and electrical gauges not working. The mileage was not as good as I expected. I am only getting about 12 MPG around town. I have not had a chance to try it out on a good road trip for highway MPG yet. We love the roominess in the seating, the second row has especially good head & legroom. The third seat we don't use much, I would not recommend it for long trips for large people due to the lack of headroom that comes from the theater- style seating. Lots of space comes with folding down the rear seat.

Bought the Armada in Sept 2004, then sent wife and kids to Phoenix the first week. Almost 20 mpg on the highway! No problems so far, love the exhaust not and the power. Great space for our growing family. My only complaint is that my wife gets to drive it all the time and I don't! I love the fact that it comes standard with so many airbags.

I traded in my 2001 Toyota Sequoia for the 2004 Nissan Armada. Reason, the design was excellent, has tons of power has all the features I wanted for an SUV for a whole lot less (cheapest in it's class). I love the heck out of this truck. However the build quality is not up to par with the Sequoia neither is the ride quality. But the loaded Armada LE cost a whooping $8,000 less than the loaded Sequoia. I guess you cannot always have it all. I am happy with my buy and so far I have had no issues with it and I look forward to paying off the truck, keep for my 5yr old for his prom night when he graduates high school.

Purchased our 2004 Armada in 10/03. Problems started @ 3K Miles. When braking @ highway & city speeds steering wheel would vibrate. Took Armada back to the dealership & they told us the front rotor were warped. They replaced the rotors and pads. At 6K & 10K miles the same thing happened. They replaced the rotors and pads each time (A total of 3 sets of rotors & 3sets of pads). Because of all the shaking in the truck from the brakes we have had all kinds of other issues (Alignment problem, rattling in all areas, squealing brakes). Currently 14,000 & problems are starting up. Save your money & the headaches DONT BUY THE ARMADA. Nissan nor dealership no help.

the plastic scratches to easily on the inside. fuel economy is extremely poor. brakes are horrible, wear out easily. make the interior more appealing. front mudflaps are a joke for the money u charge. make it moulded into the runners along the vehicle. i am personal friends w/the owners @ smithtown. i do not hold them personally responsible with what i call poor interior workmanship. i really think u need to address the interior quality of the vehicle. all plastic and there is alot marks too easily!

I HAVE HAD THE ARMADA FOR ONLY 1 WEEK, BUT I WANTED TO WRITE A REVIEW WHILE I HAD THE OPPORTUNITY. WE DID NOT GO TO THE DEALERSHIP TO BUY AN ARMADA, WE WERE GOING TO CHECK OUT THE PATHFINDER. MY HUSBAND AND I HAD DRIVEN ONE BEFORE AND LIKED IT. WELL, MY HUSBAND IS ABOUT 6'2" WITH LONG LEGS AND THE PATHFINDER WAS NOT A GOOD FIT. THE SALESPERSON SUGGESTED WE TEST THE ARMADA. WE FELL IN LOVE, I WENT HOME, DID SOME RESEARCH ON-LINE. WE WENT BACK AND BOUGHT THE VEHICLE. MY HUSBAND GAVE IT TO ME TO DRIVE THIS FIRST WEEK. I WORK ABOUT 20 MILE FROM MY HOME, I AM AN AVON LADY ALSO, SO YOU CAN IMAGINE THE RUNNING AROUND I DO, ALL I CAN SAY IS "SO FAR, SO GOOD" I LOVE IT.

We recently totalled our Armada on a roll off the road going over 65 mph. Not only were we quite unhurt our unseatbelted cat survived. Side airbags work. Love our Armada and will buy a second. The ride is better than our old Navigator, and the storage is superb. We tow a 32' trailer with no effort at all. It is the best riding Suv we have ever owned. Would recommend it heartily.

Ok where do I start. I think Nissan did a great job with the design of this vehicle, just a poor job putting it together. Within the first month my Transmission started to slip, My tires keep loosing air pressure, my door handles get stuck, air keeps coming in from my windshield. Twelve months later my tires are all chopped up with 10k miles, air still comes from my windshield. I have had a Nissan since I was able to drive (20yrs) This has been by far not my best experience. Got another 24 months with this misery!

After a few weeks of adjusting to a large size SUV, I can honestly say that I love my Armada. I have had all the 1st year out problems however (2 new sets of brakes & rotors in 6000 miles and the replacement of the casing for the DVD screen) but they get fixed and I move along. The turning radius of the truck is better than on any car I've ever driven-I can get into some of the tighest spots! The pick up is there when you need it and there is more than enough room for all the strollers and groceries. Now if it didn't cost $50 a week to fill I'd love it more.

We have only had the Armada since July 2004, but really love it. Not only do the third row seats fold, but the second row seats and the passenger seat. We just used it to move, and had it loaded, with all seats down except the drivers seat and even hauled an extension ladder. Loaded it drove extremely well. At this point we really love it. The mpg is low, but you can expect that with all large vehicles. We also have a chevy one ton pickup whose gas mileage is much less. We pull a 34 l/2 fifth wheel with the pu.

Traded 2001 Sequoia for the 2004 Armada. So far extremely happy with the decision. Armada has engine power galore [Sequoia underpowered at 4.8L V- 8 vs. Armada's 5.6L V-8]. Independent suspension makes for firm and sporty ride as compared to Sequoia's softer Cadillac like ride. Guys will like the nice "growl" -real throaty exhaust sound. Interior a little more "trucky" than Sequoia-in look, feel and sound. This was a turn off at first but grew on me as I checked the vehicle out more thoroughly.

First i would like to say i love this car! It is magnificent. It will do anything you ask of it. BUT. I have only put 5000 miles on it and I have already changed the brakes twice and the rotars once. If you are buying this car or currently have it, watch out for the PSI in the tires, i got mine with 50 PSI in them when they are only supposed to be at 35. I checked it out based on the complaints/reviews about the tire preasure from the reviews writen here! ANd the actual mileage on the gas is 8 MPG for city driving. Other then that, great!

It's got the power. Smooth ride for a truck frame. Great looks. I've had plenty of esthetic problems. The passenger exterior mirror wasn't working, outside molding along bottom of window was dented, the gas filler door was loose, leather on steering wheel was scuffed. I believe the problems were dealer caused more than Nissan. I hope these problems don't extend into the engine/drivetrain/electrical. Overall, very satisfied with this SUV and would recommend it to a friend or relative. Just buy from a dealer other than Landers.

I hated removing my seats in my old car, they were too heavy and my wife never had a chance so the fold down flat rear seat and flip away second row are awesome. Haven't had it long enough to determine true milage but it averages over 14 I'll be happy, after all it's an SUV. Kids really enjoy all the room to get in and out. Step rail is positioned much better than the Yukon. The shifter down in the middle is very convenient for down and up shifting manually. Also like the smooth ride. It really absorbs the bumpy roads. The only bad thing is I have to share it with my wife.

At 15K miles, has been in shop for warped front brake rotors, torn sunfoof visor, broken rear wiper, rear window washer leaking inside, A/C vent controls not functional, fastener cover missing on grab handle, and FOB's inoperable. Have driven on short and long trips - too many rattles, too much road noise, trucklike ride. Handles poorly in heavy rain - even in auto 4wd.

Owned the Armada since Feb. 2004 and bought it for it's towing capacity. We are towing a boat and it tows great. Problem is loud squealing brakes when they are warm. So far dealer cannot fix - says squealing is normal - I don't think so. Interior quality not up to par - 3 out of 4 window units had to be replaced. Console rattles and we're still waiting for a replacement since August.

It's a large truck but has a large turning radious.which makes turns a peice of cake. It has quick pick up and a smoothe ride. I'm surprised there's not more on the road. They're really not that expensive considering how spacious they are. They have more leg room then compartible trucks in there class. I just sold the Land Rover Discovery, Which it blows away.

The steering is tight, after 7000 miles, already had alignment checked and corrected, replaced back windshield wiper motor, had left driver door electric window motor checked and told was okay (still stops working while closing the window and preparing it to take back into service, replaced back passenger door window due to air leakage through the window. The style looks sharp, leather color combo with exterior don't always seem to look good together. Had a hard time deciding on color because of this. I've taken several long trips (New Orleans and Orlando from Austin at seperate times), after several hours, felt uncomfortable driving.

After our initial trip through the mountains, we couldn't be happier! The Armada handles very well and is fun to drive. The kids have plenty of room and the vehicle looks great both on the inside and outside. Also, the BOSE stereo system Rocks!! We have had this SUV for 6 weeks and love it! We did a lot of research first and knew that we wanted something that would get a 2nd glance, with a big a** engine, we made the RIGHT choice. 2005 will add a rear camera to navigation system, neat to have I would think, but not necessary as rear sonar is awesome.I have every option available EXCEPT 4X4, love all my bells & whistles, although I need about 6 more months to figure out all the gagets.I am hearing some vibrations on the freeway, around 70-80 mph, not 40-50 mph as most complain about.Seems to have something to do with the sunroof. Kids say the DVD screen "shakes" a lot at these same speeds.

I traded in a '02 sequoia for my '04 armada. The armada drives like a sports car compared to the sequoia. It has a great deal of power and handling to match. Combine that with all the interior room one could ask for and great comfort and you, me in this case have a suv that screams road trip. The stereo could be better, but with the "aux" 1/8" stereo jack input and my ipod it is more than acceptable until it gets an upgrade. Thumbs up from this owner after 3 weeks of ownership, knowing that a suv of this size and power is just not going to get that great gas milage is just the price you have to pay to own it.

Four months of driving and the front end shakes violently when you apply the brakes. Nissan says it is safe. As a mom, I say if it shakes don't drive it. Repair parts are in short supply. I love the room in this SUV. Great for a large family and all the required sports and school gear. Nissan is having trouble with the roof supports and some electrical systems as well. If your DVD system vibrates take it in before it falls off on to your kids. I am betting on this being a great vehicle in the long run. We should have waited for year two, so Nissan could work the 'bugs' out.

I have taken it till 80mph with a surprising ease at just under 2000 revs. The exterior has a catchy bold look. The interior has space to accomodate any body stretch and is versatile enough to provide ample cargo room if needed. The one complaint I have about the interior, both seats and pannel, is that it is a tad tacky for the price. Other than that, this machine rocks! I purchased the Armada a month ago. In this short time I've noticed a constant rattling of the overhead console and cracks in the console which eventually lead to the console breaking loose and hitting my son on the head. The rear hatch locking and automatic opening/closing system sucks. It is constantly beeping on accelerations and over bumpy terrain. The beep is to indicate that the hatch is not closed properly. I've removed the mats in the event they may be in the way but that doesn't help. The locking mechanism for the center glove box is made of plastic with slight pressure on the handle it pops open so don't leave your valuables inside.

Three days/three hundred fifty miles and it's exceeded expectations thus far. I purchased the leather even though the reviews were not favorable. I find the seats both supportive and comfortable. I did find a small screw pushing out from the side of the seat when I purchased. This was a little unnerving but I tested the seat thoroughly and have not had a problem. Gas mileage is what I expected. The steering wheel mounted controls/wireless headsets for the stereo and DVD have made driving more pleasant. Both family and friends have been impressed with the amount of room in the 2nd row. Acceleration and braking exceeded my high expectations.

Just an awesome vehicle. I've been burned by domestic SUVs (reliability, resale, etc) and I have waited for Nissan to build a large SUV. Could not be happier. Has TONs of power and is more nimble that you would ever expect from a large vehicle. We get stared at at ever stop light and while the look may not work for everyone, it is unique and at least not boring and omnipresent like Tahoes, Expeditions, etc. I was a little reluctant to buy a first try from Nissan but so far I have been extremely satisfied and it was worth the wait. Glad I didn't wait longer...

The Armada is ergonomically perfect! The fit and feel of this vehicle far surpasses my expectations. All of the controls are within reach and the seats lay down. I love the fact that my rear door will open with the click of a button. I have never felt more stable on the road.ESPECIALLY in bad weather! I get tons of compliments and thumbs up from other drivers. The stereo is terrific and the cupholders have it all! This car has comfort and styling! I LOVE IT!

The Aramda is the biggest and the best SUV in it class. It offers more standard features(Safety)than any of the other vehicles in it's class. I've tried the Ford's, the Lincoln's, the GMC's, Dodge's and the Toyota's SUVs and none of them stack up to the Aramda. The Aramda rides and handles like a smaller SUV and has great off- road capablities. It's fun to drive and it's very quick 0-60, I think around 7 seconds, none of the other competitors even come close.

We have driven over 14,000 miles and I really like the driveing and handle, loads of power and it has a nice feel to the transmition shift points. Now for the problems: the major problem that we have had with our truck is the BRAKES!!!! The rotors were turned and new pads at 6,000 miles and new rotors and pads at 13,000 miles. We are not speed demonds and hard braking habits either. Nissan needs to address this NOW!! Way to much SUV way to little rotor. I am waiting for the 05 to come out, If the correct the brake rotors I going to get a Titan also. Nissan has serviced the problems and claims

The vehicle drives great and is very comfortable. The second and third row seats are amazing. My cousin has an Escalade and the third row seats are uncomfortable and tight. My Armada is super comfortable in the third row seats. The second row is unbelievable. The amount of space is incredible. I'm very happy with my Armada.

It drives like a sports car, rides like a luxury car(almost). It makes trips enjoyable until the gas pump:). The gas mileage is expected though. so far average 11 in city and 15 hwy with 3000 miles. I'm happy with the purchase, a few rattles that can be fixed but overall glad I bought it.

I've driven my new black Armada 4x4 LE for about a week now and there's only one word to describe this SUV - its a 'BEAST'! Depressing the accelerator pedal is like opening up a can of 'whup- ass' on the road - this baby definitely has a lot of get-up-and-go. My friends can hear this thing coming down the road 4 blocks away! Also, the Nav system is one of the easiest to use and the seats are very comfortable. The DVD screen is a little too small at 7" for such a cavernous cabin - audience in the third row has to squint to see dvd image.

Great Vehicle. I purchaed the LE which has many many standard features. The automatic liftgate and rear back up sensor are great additions. Very confortable, very well built except for the sunroof controls (very cheap looking). I was about to purchase a GMC SUV, but 3 of my neighbors who own one talked me out of it and I am glad I took their advice.

Excellent car except for the a/c unit. Took it on a trip and on the way back it started doing funny things(the vents seem to have disconected and a very little if any iar was coming trough the vents, temperature of air went up as well). Took it to dealer and since the problem went way on its own they could not do a thing about it.

Great vehicle. We bought this out of state and drive it on a 2000 mile trip immediately to take it home. I was skeptical at first due to some reviews posted here. I'm glad I decided to buy this. Overall much better than my 2001 Tahoe in drivability (Although I only had 1 problem in 3 years where the starter neede to be replaced). I looked at Toyota (Why do people like the interior of Toyotas so much? Just boring.) I think Nissan did an outstanding job on this vehicle. The only complaint I have is a few rattles.

We recently bought our Armada in July 2004. In less than 3 weeks, I have put on 3000 miles traveling to Canada and Florida. This SUV has exceeded our expectatitions in every way. Have had no problems whatsoever with the truck. Having owned 2 Suburbans in the past, the Armada is hands down the better vehicle. Fit and finish as well as engine are superior with the Armada. Bought the car at a local dealership at $1800 below invoice (with the $1000 rebate). A better buy than the Sequoia. Thank you Nissan for designing a beautiful SUV!

for an SE 4X4 w/ tow package, built 05- 04 and only 9 days in the lot for $34095.00 out the door (yes incl. tax, tax and title) would I take it, yes. I can get use to some issues but definetely can't deal w/ paying $3000.00 on my trade-in and $1000.00 above invoice + tax, tags & title on a competing manufacturer (I went to all dealership w/ this manufaturer on where I am and just can't get the deal I want cause I got use to paying invoice). can't also deal w/ driving a full size SUV w/ underpower engine.

I was looking at the Denali, Escalade, and the Armada. IMHO, the LE Armada is the best value in this segment. The Infiniti version was nice but had bells and whistles (and a higher sticker) I don't need. The engine/tranny combination is perfect. And, the V-8 sounds like a V-8 should. Though some have thought the suspension to be a bit firm, my wife likes the fact this SUV does not wallow in turns like other big SUVs tend to do. It really does drive "smaller than it looks." The controls/gadgets are less complicated and easier to master than I thought they would be. I've already added mudflaps and taken off the roof rack.

I purchased an Armada in December....one of the first produced, and liked the vehicle but was disappointed by build quality.ie squeeks, rattles, loose pieces fit and finish, and it just did not feel right. For a variety of reasons I trades it in on another one lasy week and the difference is night and day. Fit finish excellent, tight, no rattles and is a joy to drive. The navigation system is easy to use and a must and the DVD system is great on trips. I am thrilled with the second one and I attribe that to quality improvements at the plant and the Infiniti QX56 has come on line there snd they were forced to deal with quality issues. The second car is great

The Armadie is GREAT overall. As I pass by the measley Ford, Chevy, Dodge and Toyota products, I wonder "What were they thinking?" The Armadie, with it's robust and brute strength appearence, demands attention on the spot!!! I had to stop suddenly one day, on a wet road, it handles the best I've ever driven. The safety is great! People go out of their way to look at this vehicle!!! I shine my nails while I drive!! I can fit almost anything inside it, while the 3rd seat lies flat. It tow's wonderfully. Not one bad word could I say. I will own this vehicle for the rest of it's days. I will not trade or sell for any other kind, unless it is just a newer Armada.

Just bought this the day before a 700 mile trip and love it. Drove it in all weather and roads including on the beach. The kids loved the rear seats which recline and have tons of leg room. 6'-0" + in the front and back not a problem. The acceleration is awesome, it is a brute but rides smooth. The gas mileage is horrible but so is all the competition. Nothing it's size does better but they are slower and ride rougher. The interior doesn't look like a crappy pick either. No one gets car sick in the 3rd row anymore (had a Durango). We had 3 adults in the 3rd row and it was a little tight. Tons of features on base model. Drive on and you'll buy it.

We bought this for our family trips. It is incredibly spacious. I can fold the third row and the middle of the second row down and sleep fully stretched out. The ride is bouncy with the rancho shocks. I recommend the LE model. Off road performance is good for its size. Clearance is empressive. Low Range is a nice feature. I would recomend the Infiniti over this model. If you want it loaded, for five thousand more you will get better warranty and service. This vehicle will easily accomidate five 6'5" adults and three shorter passengers. Rear access is great unless you are using more than one car seat.

The head rests are not adjustable 2. when relined the passenger seat is to long to lay comfortably during a trip. 3. the passenger side charger socket is in the way of the top cup holder. 4. Of course the MPG really leaves a lot to be desired. 5. The steering is a little tight, I would prefer it somewhat lighter.

We purchased the basic SE in early May. Only extras were the Bose System and tow package. We had the dealer add fog lights and the two other skid plates (transfer case and gas tank). The "beast" is a pleasure to drive on road trips. The most comfortable vehicle we have had for travel. I tested its off-road ability in the GW National Forest on a road used primarily by ATVs. It passed with flying colors, even with the Continental All Weather Tires. We have had no issues with it to date. No resonance can be detected. We get 14 mpg on mostly highway and 15- 16 on the road.

Love the power, however we are getting a fluttering sound in the interior at certain speeds that sounds like air pressure. It stops if you crack open a window slightly. Also what really bothers me is at 3000 miles the brake rotors had to be cut because a pulsating pedal, and now at 6000 miles we are having problems again-I want the rotors replaced and not cut again-I believe they are defective and do not want to have to replace them at my cost.

This has to be the best Large Class SUV on the road today. I drove all SUV's in this class, except the Range Rover (Price), and Hummer (Not Enough Luxuries), and this beat them all. The drive is like my old Explorer Limited. Very car like feel, no boat like lean in turns. The on board computers do a phenominal job of traction control and the Auto setting for the selectable 4WD makes you feel like your glued to the road. The best selling point for me was the fold down seats. Perfectly Flat.

I have put 1,000 miles on the Armada - city and highway driving - and it is averaging a little over 20 miles to the gallon; why does the editors review state that mileage is dismal? This is better mileage than the other large utes. The seats in my Armada are leather; and again I disagree with the editor in that my wife and I find the seats very comfortable. This is a fun vehicle to drive.

Excellent power and plenty of room. Love the power liftgate and all the airbags. The rear sonar helps in parking in NYC. driving this TRUCK is so much fun. Have not had the resonance problem so many have had but there are alot of rattles. Interior quality could be better. Sunvisor fell off already and rear center console broke too. A pin in the rear passenger door also came from the dealer broken.

Great , wish the interior was better...

I looked at the Murano/s last year, and am soo glad I waited until this year, the second I saw it in the dealership, I was hooked. And i researched it, and all the others online for quite awile. And then I went out and drove it, and that was it, it took a little more time, But I wanted to wait to get what I wanted, and I am handicapped, and it is very friendly and comfortable for me. And it tows a camper with no trouble.

The rattling/squeaking started after about 800 mi.. We now have 7500 mi. and the noise is constant - even on smooth roads. It seems to be coming from the ceiling center console. The major problem is the entire outside plastic piece that goes across the back of the vehicle that houses the 3rd brake light completely FELL OFF and was hanging by the brake light connection while driving on the freeway the other day!! Bottom line - the body integrity in this vehicle is inexcusable. According to Consumer Reports, Nissan is known for having problems in this area. I will say I am extremely happy with the Nissan's performance and cargo room - supreme job here!

Let me start by stating that I could not have found a better dealership from which to purchase my Armada. Bachman-Bernard in Greeneville, TN is worth your drive. I LOVE my Armada but unfortunately within the first 3 months the front passenger's seat broke 3 times, the driver's window quit working, and an odd clicking sound coming from the rear hub turned out to be a miss-drilled brake rotor. It took 30 days to finally repair the passenger's seat apparently due to availability of parts. After getting my Armada back, I had one blissful day before the passenger's window started to malfunction the same way the driver's window did previously.

I was little bit concerned about quality issue because there were several posts here, however, I did not have any problem at this time. People at Canton began to get used to the line I think. Considering high technology Nissan provided, price setting is reallyl good deal. I am very happy that Nissan has completely revived and began to expand line-ups.

I noticed a squeaky noise in the dashboard, right behind the steering wheel. I told the sales manager about it and they said they would fix it. I have taken it to the dealer about 5 times and still not fixed. There is another rattling noise that seemed to come from the dash, when I accelerate down the street. I took it to 2 different dealers and they could not find the source (it seems like the exhaust system is causing it), but they agreed it is a strange noise, and that most Armadas have it. I did notice other noises. The windshield had to be replaced because it was deffective, it had some white spots in the middle of the windshield (between the 2 layers of glass).

This vehicle was compared to the Toyota Sequois, Lincoln Navigator and even the Hummer H2. The design, power, visibility and interior comfort make it the msot practical vehicle for a family with children. The vehicle is getting approximately 14 miles per gallon in the city. However, on the highway on the very first trip we got closer to 21. Overall, if you are looking for a larger vehicle that has comfort and fun fun to drive I would suggest the Nissan Armada!

So far this has been a great vehicle. We have a family of five including one six footer. The second row seating was the first place I looked on every Suv that I considered. The hip and shoulder room made a big difference in how comfortable the three kids were in the back seat. The ride has been very comfortable for our family but we do like the tighter ride the Armada gives us. The softer ride of some SUVs made the vehicle roll to much in corners and during sudden changes

I love this suv! It holds all the kids I need to haul and their drinks!(and their attention with the dvd player!) The safety features are great, and they came standard, you didn't have to pay exrta for third row airbag safety- unlike some suv's in this class. The shape of this car is so neat looking, we get stopped everywhere we go with people asking how we like it. The gas mileage is low, but what did you expect when you buy a truck this big?

Do not have a DVD installed after market! Even though there is a flip down slot for the screen built in to the vehicle, the installer's can't seem to install it properly so that the screen doesn't rattle around and can be opened at any position. Like riding in a limosine with your head in the clouds. Over 3 month we test drove the large Ford, Chevy, GMC, Dodge & Toyota SUV's. They were nice but none of them grabbed both of us. Then my wife and I saw and test drove the Armada. There was just no comparison between the Armada and all of the others. We had to have one. The ride and overall comfort for this type of vehicle is exceptional. It can go anywhere I need and do just about anything all others can do with little or no effort at all. I can't stop showing it off and after a month I am still going into the garage to stare at it at night. You gotta get yourself one!

Then back to Nissan to take a spin in another Armade. Our conclusion. No comparison. The Armad Drives better. Handles better. More horsepower. More towing capacity. More legroom in 1st and 2nd rows. Way more features for the price of a basic Yukon with leather and a CD.

I'm extremely impressed with the SUV and LOVE driving it. The Armada drives much smaller than it is and is surpisingly maneuverable in tight situations/ downtown. Auto folding mirrors would be a nice touch for narrow garages however. The engine and drive train is phenomenal. The transmission is smooth and there is a lot of power... I'm surpised that it's only rated at 305hp... seems like more. The ride is a bit stiff but will soften over time. I have not experience any of the resonance issues.. perhaps this is not a problem with more recent builds. This is an excellent vehicle for people with kids/ dogs and the like.

The "Electronic Brain" suggests the vehicle is "not driveable" according to the information that the dealership has been given. Good luck if you purchase an Armada, I for one, would never purchase in the future, a vehicle that the dealership has not been given the tools to address manufacturing problems, and has to contact the manufacturer to address the problem. Nissan should not be excused from their obligation to support their dealer network. I was advised by the dealer that they (as a dealer for Nissan) did not have the software to diagnose or reprogram the malfunction/ defect that occurred within 150 miles of my purchase of this vehicle.

I bought the Armada to tow my boat. A little overkill since my boat and trailer only weights 3,500 lbs. The vehicle has had some initial minor repairs with the rear seat cable release jammed. It has many conveniences like the auto rear open door, programable seats, sun roof, DVD, and backing sensors. I love how it drives and feel very comfortable in it. The seat configuration is perfect for our family with all three having their own space. The second row side seats tumble forward easily allowing the passenger in the theater seating in the third row easy access. I have ridden there very comfortably myself. Yes, the gas mileage is dismal but I'm not sure for the size of vehicle I felt I needed I could do much better. The towing capacity is awesome. I love the exterior of the car and the bold styling. i enjoy the bose stereo with the 6 cd in dash. though i feel for an LE this truck should have better manners on the road. i recently took the truck into new york city and i felt going over bumps the truck did not take the bumps so well. you can feel the bumps way too much. i recently had a 2002 infiniti QX4 which just came off lease which drove much better than this armada. hopefully when the Q56 infiniti comes out it will have been built much better than the armada.

Big, Powerful, Roomy (I am 320 lbs @6'5") stylish, affordable, reliable, fun to drive, great service after sale, all the right bells and whistles, corners well and "feels the road." Worth looking at and test driving if you are in the $30,000 to $34,000 range and know you are buying from a reputable dealer. This bad boy is HOT and bigger that the Sequoya, Tahoe and Expedition but a littler smaller than the Surbaban. Check this one out. I did and bought it.

Just got my loaded Armada SE Off-Road 4WD and it is impressive. This is my fifth Nissan in 6 years and this is by far the most impressive. Performance is incredible. Comfort is amazing. While fuel economy is less than desireable, my supercharged XTerra got the same mileage and required premium.

Have had mine about 2 weeks now and love to drive it, when I can get it away from the wife. So far we have had a squeak in the overhead console (intermittent), car came with the tires overinflated by about 10lbs each and finally I popped the hood for the first time and found the oil dipstick sticking out about 2 inches.. Mainly minor QC issues that should have either been picked uo at the plant or the dealer. All in all, you have to love the power and handling on this beast.

This SUV handles like a sports car. It has massive power and pick-up is amazing. If you like a truck to drive like a truck then this is NOT the truck for you. It feels and drives like a car, but the sound of the engine is intimidating, tough. This truck, both inside and out, pushes the SUV to a new level.

Excellent power, comfortable interior, good sound system. Problem with clock on radio not keeping time properly. Would like split 3rd row seating like Sequoia. Gas milage performing below rating, but SUV is still under 1000 miles. Tires were over inflated, and driving seemed smoother after adjustment to specification (35 psi). Stiff suspension makes for bumpy ride over rough road, but very smooth on highway. Fun to drive, throaty sound, size of vehicle makes it feel like you could drive through a brick wall. Bring on a snow blizzard.

We traded a full sized conversion van for the Armada- we are used to larger vehicles. Did not want the extra expense of 4 wheel drive-thank you Nissan for a 4x2. We love the looks, comfort and all the standards that are options on other suv's. This suv handles like a sports car compared to the old van. I'm sure a lot of Mustang and Camaro owners are going to be surprised when they are not pulling to far away from my suv at the stoplights.

This is one great vehicle with great value for your money. My friend came along just for the ride and now he is buying one too. Nissan really did it's homework on this SUV and although the compitition might match it in any one or two catagories, the Armada beats them all as an overall package.

Between the new Durango and the Armada, and for only a couple of thousand more I got much more room, safety features etc over the Durango. But what really clinched it was the spacious interior room, including the second and third row seating areas. I got the SE w/4WD, standard radio which is excellent, and the cloth interior with 2nd row bench which is much more versatile. I opted not to get the dvd or navigation, so I couldn't get the sunroof, but I'll add that for an extra grand in the Spring. Definitely a head turner, and a logical choice when given the options available!

Our most recent fuela mileage was right at 14 in mostly in town driving. Our first road trip will be in about a month.

I have own this Suv for approxiamately 1 month. The heat shield was rattling and deformed on the exhaust pipe. Nissan replaced the exhaust pipe with heat shield. It comes together as a unit. The dealership lost my original set of keys. They tried to make a new set of keys. The module was defective on the truck. So far in 4 weeks I 've had two defective parts replaced. It has a powerful engine. The ride itself is a little stiff compared to the GM trucks. ( Surburban, Denali). If I had to do it all over again I would have waited another year or so. Maybe by then some of these issues can be improved.

We have had our LE 4wd for several weeks now and have made several road trips in it along with daily town driving. Ours has the Tech package and DVD (aftermarket 9" screen w/ TV and wireless headphones). The ride is sweet for a vehicle this size, very comfortable. The engine is phenominal, love the power and the sound from the tail pipes. When I drive, its hard not to play with that power so fuel mileage is averaging around 14 mpg. Interior is nice, comfortable and clean. Some complain about the cheap looking interior materials but I think the LE with leather works well.

The 'no pressure' approach by the dealer, the incredible ride and performance of the Armada and a great price with all the extras makes made me buy this vehicle, which is a delight to drive. I am very much satisfied with the Armada.

I have a question for all new Armada owners. I just bought a brand new Armada and loving it except for one thing, "The Flapping Wind Noise when driving on Rough surface Road". At first I thought it was just the one I've got but then I took it back to the dealer and trade it for another same model. It's still the same. I would like to know when you drive on a rough surface road turn off the radio and see if you hear the noise I'm talking about especially if you drive between 60- 70mph. Thank you for your time.

ILOVE this car. It's a large SUV and it handles likes it is small. It sticks to the road and it snaps your neck at the start. Nissan needs to do a better job with color choices and option packages. You can't find a car with everything you want in it, Nor can you buy the option for later installation! The controls on the steering wheel can not be seen in the dark...you better memorize them! It is strange that in the LE version you can't get dual auto climate control. Other then those small irratants, This is ONE FINE CAR that you won't reget buying. The engine growls better then any American V-8. Tri-Cities Nissan in Johnson City TN is the place to buy one.

THE RIDE IS WAY TO BUMPY AND I HAVE EVEN REDUCED TIRE PRESSURE TO EASE THE TEETH RATTLING RIDE.....MAYBE MICHELIN TIRES WILL HELP... IF I HAD TO DO IT AGAIN I WOULD GO BACK TO THE FORD EXPEDITION.

I went from a Durango to the Armada with a little hesitation because of the Armada's size, but it was a very easy transition. The amount of storage the Armada has and the overall ability to see out of the mirrors, etc., is amazing. The stereo is fabulous and the ease of use of all the controls is great. The fold down seats (including the passenger's) is also a big bonus. The Armada's ride is smooth and it is fun to drive. I would highly recommend the Armada.

We just took delivery 1-5-04. I bought this vehicle to tow my 35' camper, and to commute to and from work. This is the only vehicle that we drove with the capability to pull the camper without going to a 3/4 ton tow vehicle. We were also very impressed with the value offered in this vehicle, compared with other vehicles in the class. We will be taking it on a long weekend trip in a couple of weeks and neither my wife nor I can wait to spend a few hours behind the wheel.

After Nissan works out the kinks with this truck...it should rule the large SUV market. Ride is fantastic. There is a problem with the roof of this vehicle. My hope is nissan does a recall and really can fix it. Avoid the DVD system in the roof, as this will add weight to an already strained roof. I will have my DVD system installed in the head rests of the front seats. Horsepower is amazing. Controls are easy to operate as is the navigation system. Coming from a former Explorer(2), Expedition(3), Honda Pilot, Land Crusier, and Yukon owner...this truck is already better than those .... and will be far better after Nissan fixes a few things.

I decided on the Armada after driving the Tahoe and the Expedition. I even had put a deposit down on the Tahoe and got it back and went with the Nissan. I like the 5-speed auto compared to the 4-speed. The gated shifter on the floor is great as well. The power is great, the styling unique, the interior room is 2nd to none in the class. The towing capacity is great as well. The Armada is everything you could want in an SUV.

Having owned several Suburbans and Expediton we have to say that this is the BEST SUV we have Driven and it is MADE in the USA. Body Style looks RUGGED to go with the vehicle capability. Handling is awesome and takes some getting used to. Not that it lacks, but very much more responsive. Fuel economy is what's expected for an SUV 17.2 (3 Kids and All gear for week in Mountains) Highway 15-16 City. Seating is outstanding. Ease of entry to third row seating is exceptional compared to the others. Cargo area is a bit larger than Expedition but smaller than Suburban. However Storage for everything else Cups, Glasses, Games, etc.is Outstanding.

Nissan could have done a better job of marketing this vehichle. All of the Armada's competition has some sort of financing incentive, it is hard to justify spending the amount of money on this vehicle when you could get a yukon with zero percent financing and similar equipment. The main reasons I bought the Armada over the Yukon; First reason was the safety features that it has over the yukon. The roll over protection is a big deal that none of the competition offers. Second; fold flat third row seating, there is way too much wasted space in the yukon and it is near impossible to get into the third row. Finally engine and transmission.

Nissan Armada a refreshing experience

The Nissan Armada is our second experience into the SUV market. It is fun to drive, handles well and is an eye catcher from other SUV drivers. The Armada does not have the clumsy feel that our last SUV had and corners better than the Yukon and Expedition we test drove. For the money, you get more quality and more room than the Armada's domestic competition.

Have owned Tahoes,Suburbans and a Sequoia. The Armada is an improvment. It has nice power but the trans shifting is vague. Ride and handeling are above avg. for something this big. Interior is comfortable enough but has lots of plastic. Bring your Exxon card, its thirsty, 13 1/2mpg. Great storage and cup holders. I wish Bridgestone had Revo tires this size.

Only 400 miles on it & so far I like my decision.Very comfortable seating in the cloth. The front 2 rows are great 3rd row is for kids or small adults. The engine is very smooth on the highway at 70 -80.It does have a little growl to it while accelerating which I love. The tranny is the best I,ve ever had.Space galore.City driving takes care but becomes easier with pratice.I love it.

The first thing I noticed when I stepped inside the vehicle was the roominess. No vehicle on the market matches the amount of legroom and space you'll get in the second and third row seating. The ride is extremely smooth and handles very well for such a large truck. We upgarded to the SE Journey package so that we could have the 2nd row captain seats, which flip easily and out of the way for access to the 3rd row. The styling and leather are very nice and unique and is extremely comfortable for a long drive. There are plenty of places to store various items, even enough room to put your laptop in. I can't say enough about how much I enjoy our new SUV.

I recently purchase the new Armada and find it hands down better than the competition. I test drove the Sequoia, Tahoe and Yukon. This V-8 engine is awesome. It blows away the competition. I drove a Nissan Pathfinder for 5 years and loved the V-6 240hp engine on my 2002. This vehicle blows the mid-size Pathfinder away. There is so much here I don't have time to list. I would recommend this vehicle to anyone interested in purchasing a full size SUV. The one downfall of this SUV is the mileage, but for all the fun it is to drive, it is well worth the headache to fill up more frequently. Happy trails to everyone who buys this SUV!

we have only had this vehicle for a week now so our mileage is not high. It is very responsive and comfortable so far and has room to spare. Unlike other SUV models, this one has legroom to spare, even in the rear seats!! We have had another type of SUV before and this one beats it hands down for comfort. The other SUV did not allow you to stretch your legs out, therefore making it uncomfortable for long trips.

THIRD ROW ISN'T BAD EITHER FOR ME 6FT 1IN., MORE THAN ENOUGH FOR SMALLER PEOPLE. ENGINE IS STRONG THROUGH OUT DRIVING RANGE. EASY FOR ME TO DRIVE IN TOWN. PARALLEL PARKING IS NOT BAD ,ESPECIALLY WITH REAR SENSORS. NAV SYSTEM IS EXCELLENT AND EASY TO USE.

More hp, torque, room, towing capacity, ground clearance, cupholders, more of everything. This is the best part it was 4k less with more equipment. Everywhere I go people stop and stair and the kids love it.

Finally another foreign car in the big SUV market. Even with no options this vehicle is well equipped. Great leg room in the rear seat, my kid can't kick the front seats anymore (come to think of it I don't think Shaq can reach either). The ride is quiet but the SUV has tons of power. Comfortable cockpit with controls easy to find. If your looking for the new BIG SUV this is it. Can't wait for the first road trip!

Our young family of four is really enjoying this vehicle. The DVD entertainment center is great for long trips. It has a lot of power - I'm someone that loves to accelerate, and the Armada has good, very smooth, acceleration for its size. It handles very well on slick roads. The interior is unbelievable - storage is everywhere! And the second row seats have a LOT of room! It is easy to fold down the third row, and the fact it has shoulder belts in all 8 seating positions gives us a lot of flexibility in where the kids ride particularly when my wife travels with friends.

I believe that I am one of the first buyers in E TN on 10-10-03. The miles are estimated for the first year. The dealership was first rate and the salesman Scott B was great in showing me the features. The second day we took a trip to the Lindville Falls wilderness area with 20 miles of tough, watersoaked roads. It took it without complaint. It handles as well as the Tourage by VW. But pulls around 9100# and weighs 7000#. Totally solid. Everyone of my friends with Denali's,etc. are impressed. I'll give it a 10. GPH
