I rarely give anything five stars but the service I have had on this vehicle deserves it. I bought my MPV brand new from the dealer and only had routine problems. My vehicle is approaching 170,000 miles and runs perfectly. We have maintained the exterior and interior of this vehicle. If the engine fails, I will buy a rebuilt engine, install it, and hope it lasts as long as the one now. I was recently at the dealer to have the air-bag replaced and a mechanic there said several owners bring their MPVs in for maintenance and have more than 250,000 miles on them. The only unexpected failure I had on this vehicle was last year when the sunroof leaked and I had to replace the seal.

I bought this van used from a dealer. It didn't have a lot of miles on it (less than 50K, I think). It has been nothing but problems, coil packs go out regularly (I've replaced at least 6 times), shift shock, front end control arms, hub bearings, tie rods. Terrible gas mileage. I have contacted Mazda corporate several times and they pretend they haven't heard of the issues. Funny how the complaints are all over the web. I think the transmission just went out and I am leaning towards junking it and getting else.

I never had much wrong with my mazda mpv. I drove it for almost 8 yrs. It only had alittle over 100,000 miles on it. I replaced all my coil packs, vacum hose, and brakes. it ran as smoothe as it did the day I bought it. I was in an accident and they totaled it. I looked for another one but none close to me. I like my other van now but miss my Mazda Alot.

I bought this all most new it had 6000 miles on it. I have 230,000 miles on it. The miles were split between stop and go and highway miles. I have only had minor things brake like the drivers side window motor. I have had nothing mojor, knock on wood.

Bought the vehicle used in 2008 with about 40,000 miles. Loved it at first, rode smoothly, feels like a car, looks great for a minivan and love that the sliding door windows roll down. Fast forward to about 75,000 miles. The first engine coil goes. 90,000 two more blow. Now at 101,000 miles, the 4th coil is being replaced tomorrow. There is a design defect in the coil placement in this MPV that allows water to enter the coils, and shorten the live considerably. Some other little things here and there, but the engine is the big issue. Trading it in for a more reliable vehicle right after the repair is done.

We love this van. However we did have to replace the catalytic converter at about 74,000 miles (covered under mfg. warranty). Also, had a water problem. After a rain we opened both side doors and water came gushing out. None on the carpet. Just on the running boards. Took it back to dealership. They said some flaps under the van were not fastened properly. No problems since. Don't like the shifter where it is.

The 2004 Mazda MPV was reliable until about 65K when I started having trouble with numerous ignition coils. The last straw was last week - replaced all three rear coils - #3 kept misfiring and dealership recommended to replace them all. Then ck eng. light came on again and they cleaned fuel injectors. Light came on again, they turned it off because it said #3 coil again and it was just replaced. Last Friday started and it shook like a go cart - had it towed - now I am told the engine is blown. They want $7K to replace and $3300 for a rebuilt with 1 yr warranty. So frustrating - used to love this van but now am afraid of all its problems - don't know whether to fix - worth $500. now!

Great scores but.....

The issue is once we approached 5 years/80K miles, the engine light came on. It's been downhill ever since. After 8 visits to 5 different shops including the dealer, we paid $3K to fix the catalytic converter. The final straw is 1 day after forking over $3,000, the light comes on again and the transmission shifts all over the place. The dealer has no clue. If you ever are told you have to replace the catalytic converter ....don't. Time to go shopping. We were told we need to spend another $300 for some assembly and the guy wasn't sure this would fix the problem.

My wife and I purchased this vehicle roughly two years ago. This vehicle has been in the shop 6 times since we purchased it. It has a broken catalytic converter, bad fuel injectors, bad wheel bearing, bad water pump, bad transmission, bad transmission mounts, bad engine mounts. This list goes on and on. We've put over $8000 in this car that isn't even worth $3000. It has been the worst investment that we've ever made in our 24 years of existence. I hope that they're able to remedy these problems because I can't believe that these cars are even on the road.

My van is my baby (I loves my dog [Wuff]). The biggest problem I have is that I can't find a maintenance manual for the body. She's at 100K miles, but I can't change the rear brakes because I can't adjust them out far enough to accommodate new shoes (they're pretty tricky for rear disc brakes). Other than that, she's great. I even figured out how to change the spark plugs without having to drop the main harness or the engine (not the easiest thing to do, but it's doable).

I always hated vans, but as a father, I had to give in. I got rid of my "grampa-style" sedan and my 4x4 truck and got one family vehicle. I debated between an SUV and a Minivan, today I drive the MPV. Granted I miss my comfy seats sedan and its leather seats, sub-woofer, moon-roof, etc., but I'm impressed by this van. It was well thought out. The variable seating configuration is amazing. I added Limo Tint and a rooftop LCD and we even go sit in the back seat, eat dinner and watch a movie inside the van. It drives and handles very well. I just wish the driver seat was a lot more comfortable, its too hard and too short.

Our 2004 MPV has been by far the best vehicle I have ever owned, and I've had a LOT of vehicles. We've owned this for over 4 years and it now has 105,000 miles. Great fuel mileage, 29 on the highway, very reliable and I still like the styling for a minivan. Interior is a bit small for a van but makes up for it in styling and fuel mileage. I have 3 children, ages 6 and under and we use this vehicle everyday, from short trips taking the oldest to school to LONG road trips to places like Maine and Disney World (We live in PA so it is a long drive to either). We had a few odd issues while under warranty but since then only issues have been parts that were due to be replaced, like coils etc.

I have over 65k miles on my van now and still love it. Yes the gear shift lever is in a bad place and can easily be knocked out of gear but overall I am greatly satisfied. The only problem we have had so far is the coil packs are prone to go out which can leave you stranded (happened to us). Fits my family of 4 just fine with room in the back for all our stuff.

We love our MPV

The only thing that bothers me about this minivan is that you can't see the AC button on the dash because the shift bar blocks its view. Otherwise, I have never been this happy with any other pre-owned vehicle. I would upgrade to a newer vsersion without thinking twice when the time comes.

Very disappointed. We bought the van in 2005. The van was left over from 2004 model year. We discovered the car has rust in the hatch back area and in the passenger under the door. The car still under warranty. The dealer just informed me that they will be fixing the rust, but I will never buy another Mazda. My Toyota Camry is 10 years old and it does not have any rust. Planning to sell it after dealer fixes it.

I had a 2003 MPV LX and loved it but then I decided to go for some new technology like the 2004 has. I looked at Odyssey and Sienna but they are really too bulky and wide which makes them unsafe to manuever out of someone's way. I loved the 2004 MPV (the new body style) but had to order an ES. ESes are very rare since they are the top model and I also wanted all the options and packages, DVD, sport package - very rare, sunroof.

The vehicle has been a pleasure to own and drive. Its smaller size has proven to be a great asset, both in driving and garaging it. It is very comfortable, fun to drive and the gas mileage is surprisingly good. Its insurance ratings are good too, so the insurance premiums are moderate. It is a well liked and welcome member of our family.

The MPV is a great van overall. Handles well and looks sporty. We get about 17-19 mpg in the city with the AC on. We added fog lights and rear view mirror that dims automatically at night. The mirror has a compass which is very helpful.

This has been a rock solid minivan. The car has performed wonderfully without even the slightest repair. We have enjoyed the front wheel drive and traction control as it's handling has been great in the snow and ice. The van has been terrific on trips and is comfortable enough to drive from Washington DC to Orlando Florida in a non-stop drive with the children. Ours is equipped with the factory DVD option so that helps on those 15 hour drives. Overall we love this van and it has been very reliable!

The ride of the MPV is wonderful. Very car-like. Unfortunately, if someone with legs is sitting behind the driver (if it's me), there's not enough room for both of us. The lack of room is my biggest gripe. We also have no Mazda dealer in our town of 46,000, so we have to drive it 45 minutes away every time the check engine light comes on, which is a lot. Then I have to drive it back down for the repair. It's a hassle. And for such a short van, the gas mileage is terrible, between 19-21 mpg. On the positive side, if nobody is sitting behind me and I'm not worried about mileage, it's a very nice car to drive.

Overall the MPV is good quality but a very hard ride. Having struts instead of shocks makes a big difference in the ride. I get only 21mpg on the road and about 17 in town. The short wheel base also contributes to the harder ride. On a 10 scale I would give the MPV a 7

We bought our 2004 ES new and got a great deal with rebates & discounts. I thought I really wanted an Odyssey because I've always had Hondas, but after driving this one I was sold! Much nicer layout on inside, had more room up front for my 6 foot 2 husband and that really sold him (he did not want a minivan at all, but after he drove it he changed his mind). It is just a beautiful van and drives like a dream! We have 3 kids and there's plenty of room for everyone even with the baby seat (love the latch system for the infant seat). The MPV was a much better buy than the Odyssey and looks so much better. I also like that it is a bit smaller and I'm not driving a big box!

I bought this van for my wife for Christmas '04. She was against a minivan, except for a Mazda. We both agreed that it is the only van that looks even somewhat sporty. We have had NO problems with it of any kind. The only thing that can be annoying is the stiffer than normal ride. I can still deal with it though. It just mostly rattles change and other items stored in its many compartments. I am very pleased with the quality and value this van has provided. Definitely the best vehicle I have owned. Very smooth engine. Quick and sporty without a minivan sway and feel of bulk. Fuel mileage on the highway is actually better than my 2000 Ford Focus. The 5 speed auto helps keep revs down. GREAT VAN.

We bought this van after we drove a Ford Windstar, Toyota Highlander, a few other SUVs and visited the annual L.A. Auto show. Has good power, expected interior size and folding chairs. On a tight budget so we ended with the MPV in the garage for $18,000 (including taxes). Feels slow when stepped on the gas (comparing to my 87' T-bird), but braking is good. Has the largest turning of any car I ever drove - U-turn is a problem. The gear shifter is - dumb - placed across the AC and radio controls. Cheap arm rests. Shortly after purchase, the water pump was leaking coolant on the hot engine, fumes were coming in the inside. Fixed on warranty. A bumper crash in the rear made a $3200 damage.

We bought this Van for $21,000 from the dealer brand new. We looked at the Odyssey, and Sienna first but couldn't justify the cost of those other vans. The MPV is stylish and the power sliding doors always gets comments and looks from bystanders! It also handles like a car much better than a camry or an accord!!!I love my MPV!!!It's also not as cumbersome as the other vans this is good since the wife drives it most of the time and it fits in compact spaces. We used to have an SUV before this and that felt like a truck.I highly recommend this van if you have a small family.

We considered the Sienna and Caravan but found this was best deal for the money. We purchased our MPV in November after the birth of our second child. It is very easy to get the kids into and out of the car. My wife says it has changed her whole opinion on minivans and we are now considering buying a second one for her to replace her luxury sedan. We have only found one drawback I have the 17 inch tires and recently had a blowout due to road debris and was shocked when it cost me $160 to replace and I had to wait a week because the tire was special order, ouch!

Purchased this '04 about a month ago. Have put 2000 miles on with a recent 1000 mile trip. Good comfort for all 5 passengers. Averaged 23.5 mpg fully loaded with roof cargo carrier in place. This was at speeds between 70-75 mph in some headwinds on the return trip. A more refined van than our Grand Caravan; it does have a little less interior space. Excellent drivetrain and much better ride and interior noise levels. The fold into the floor rear seat is great.

My wife and I did a lot of research before buying this minivan. We narrowed it down to the Toyota Sienna and the Mazda MPV. The size of the vehicle was the primary concern because we have a small two car garage attached to our Cape style house. I drove both the Sienna and the MPV into the garage when test-driving. The MPV is smaller, and therefore was a more comfortable fit. When we test drove both vehicles, the Sienna had a smoother ride, but the braking was more laborious. The MPV felt more sporty, and the braking was much easier. The Sienna had slightly better gas mileage (1 mpg better). However, the MPV just had so many more features for less money - and all of that with a government 5 star crash rating.

My husband and I just purchased a used 2004 MPV with 18k miles on it. We have a 15 month old and are expecting another baby soon. The MPV has lots of space without being too boxy or too large. It's easy to get a toddler in/out of carseats in the 2nd row. It would be nice to have a tad more leg room/space between the front and 2nd row but it's fine for kids. I love the cargo space and the "lay flat" 3 row seat. I also like the steering wheel radio controls and the center console that can be up or down. The handling of the MPV is awesome! Feels like you're driving a luxury car instead of a minivan. It turns smoothly and easily, accelerates beautifully (but I'm a conservative Mommy).

Van is excellent except for the transmission. It jerks shifting from 2nd to 3rd especially on a stop and go traffic. Brakes are noisy first thing in the morning, disappears after it warms up. Had the TCM reflashed 3 times to correct the transmission jerk to no avail until second dealer replaced it with a brand new TCM. Still jerks a little bit but not as pronounced. Have to learn to live with it. But will go back to Toyota or Honda next time.

TTL). A generous trade-in allowance was an added plus. I might be a dad now, but I still got some "zoom- zoom" in me :-)

Minivan for the sport family. We have 3 children who love the multiple positions of the rear seats, with 2 performance oriented adults driving. I recently hanged with a mustang and camaro at red light, how embarrassing for them!

We have only had this MPV for 7 months but we love it. It was a great value with rebates at the time. It is right sized, has good performance, comfortable ride, and looks good. The transmission is the weak point as it does not shift smoothly. The 200 hp engine is good for its size and weight.

Nice van to replace our '04 trailblazer (nightmare car!). Great handling, peppy drivetrain, compact package, quality looking and feeling interior bits. Reliability has been great despite warnings to contrary-drove rental MPV for 3500 miles with no probs and liked it well enough to buy an 04 which now has 2000 mi on it. Stable, surefooted handling and silky smooth tranny make for a fun drive (in a minivan?!) Kids like roll down windows in side doors. People complain about shift lever in way of radio-no problems if you use controls on steering wheel (actually, no real problem anyway). We enjoy this van as much as our first Honda Ody but without the transmission problems of the Ody.

Replacing 8-yr old Grand Caravan. After months of research, considered and compared Sienna & MPV as two most reliable alternatives. Didn't consider Odyssey - too many transmission failures (although some MPV owners had transmission shift-shock issue; now resolved with updated transmission software flash). I preferred larger size of Sienna; even bigger than Grand Caravan. But price was definitely an issue and wife preferred smaller size, maneuverability, handling, and looks of MPV. For less money, MPV ES also has more standard features than Sienna LE: leather, 6-disc in-dash CD changer, 2 power sliding doors, and alloys. If you have a smaller family and smaller size is OK, then recommend MPV.

Overall, this car was a perfect choice for me. I like that it is smaller than most other minivans. I have three kids and they have enough room to keep them apart. :) I love the way it drives. I find myself going faster than I should be, because it has quite a bit of engine power. On the downside, I have been surprised by the quality of some of the materials they have used. I have had one handle break on the back of the passenger seat. Other than that, I love this minivan.

The wife and I finally purchased one after two years of mulling it over. We couldn't pass up the deal--LX with 4-seasons, Traction-side airbags, LX Plus, roof rack, for $20,500 plus tax, and 3.9% financing. Its ride is unlike any other minivan's. In fact, the suspension is downright firm (surprising, almost BMW-ish?), and it handles great. On top of that, it's the best looking mini out there, inside and outside. The size is just right, power is just right, and I'm glad I made the purchase. P.S.--did they change the console from 03 to 04? The gear shift lever only blocks the temp wheel and a/c button--it never blocks the radio for me.

I have been looking for quite a while to replace my '94 Ford Thunderbird with a vehicle with higher seating, I am a senior and getting in and out of my Ford was becomming more difficult. I have researched many vehicles on the web and in dealer showrooms. I looked at Windstars,Dodge Caravans, CR- Vs,Escapes, Xterras, etc. Mazda reviews rated the MPV an excellent minivan. I test drove a MPV at Community Motors in Oak Forest ,Il. and was "hooked".Iwas impressed with the comfort, the visibility, the power and the high quality of the product. I brought my wife back and we bought the car, enough said.

After test driving EVERY minivan, we went with the MPV. Smaller-sure but handling is amazing, parking easy, braking unbelievably short, quality high, price well-we bought the LX fully loaded with every option and package except tow package, got a 5000 dealer discount, 500 loyalty bonus, 500 graduate bonusand a great price to start with. Out the door with TTL $20,100. Add to that the unbelievable tradein allowance for our Jetta $12, 500, and we owe less than 7 grand after tax allowance. What a dealership! Oh yeah, and they thru in a 100000 mile/7 year extended warranty and 3 oil changes for free! A similarly equiped, honda was even close $26000. if you prize style over size, get this van.

It may be a bit early to tell, but so far I'm thrilled that we decided on the MPV. I can't find but one flaw, the gear shifter, when in D is in the way of the volume control and the A/C on/off switch. The van handles great and doesn't feel like any minivan I've ever driven. Interior is quiet but sporty. Looking forward to a long-term relationship with this MPV!

This mini van is very comfortable, and roomy enough for 7 adults to sit comfortably. The cargo hold is very versatile, as it features a flip down rear seat which allows the rear cargo space to be completely flat for transporting large objects. With the rear seat flipped up, the rear cargo hold becomes a nice sized pocket able to hold gracery bags steady for the trip home. Plenty of room for luggage, too. We took a car trip with 2 adults, and three teenage children, and we all fit into the car comfortably, including two pieces of luggage each!

This is the first Mazda I've ever owned and I've been pleasantly surprised. It IS fun to drive..does have "zoom, zoom, zoom" especially when passing or getting on a hiway. Its my 4th Minivan.(can't live without one) and tho its smaller than previous car..Its just the right size for me..both for hauling work and traveling. In fact..the size is the reason I got it. Not too happy about the milage..but I got it as we were in the midst of the gas hike and I live in New York.

I've been looking for a minivan for a couple of months & was priced out of the Toyota Sienna LE also tested the Odessy & Freestar. We bought this van a month ago and we love it - the only thing that I see as a problem is that the gear shift is too big and the windshield wipers shift is on the same side. The gear shift should be smaller and the windshield wiper shift should be on the side where the lights are. Other than that it is a great van and would highly recommend it.

Just bought an MPV. Great value/features for the price. We have an LX with the LX Plus package, traction control, side airbags, roof rack and power side doors. Love the look of it. Adequate power and very quiet inside. We like the overall size, although there could be a little more leg room in the 2nd row. The fact that the gearshift blocks the radio isn't good but is offset somewhat by the steering wheel controls. Parking brake shouldn't be on the floor, it blocks access to the rear. Full removeable center console would be nice. Transmission a little clunky switching from 1st to 2nd. We are very happy with it so far.

I pondered a while about which minivan to purchase and test drove Odyssey, Sienna and MPV. In the end I decided on MPV because of its size and its cost. MPV's size is just right - can fit a lot of stuff, but handling and parking is like that of a sedan. We had this van for a few weeks and it's been great. It really is fun to drive. My wife, who was very worried about driving a minivan is perfectly comfortable with it now. So far I didn't notice any problems with the car (like mentioned missed gear shifts). Finally, it is 3-4 K cheaper to comparably equipped Odyssey!

The MPV is by far the sexiest minivan on the road, and it has plenty of room in all rows. The controls are awesome, and the shift lever over the air conditioning is not a problem. Acceleration is great even with only 200 HP. I wouldn't say it corners like a car, but it does corner well and takes bumps with hardly a twitch that make my Nissan Sentra shudder. The controls on the steering wheel are fabulous and the wheel itself is very comfortable to hold. See Favorite Features below for more compliments. My main gripe: mileage is 15/21, although I'm still tweaking the tire pressure.

I was looking for a replacement for my 1994 Miata as my primary vehicle. Looked at sedans, SUVs, and minivans and decided the MPV offered the most bang for the buck. It drove nice, was quiet, had good fit and finish, and the LX with the LX Upgrade package, traction control, and the 4 seasons package had everything I wanted. I'm 6 feet tall and the van had plenty of creature comforts for me. My garage is small but the MPV's "footprint" is actually smaller than some sedans. The seats are very versatile and I can handle them 'by myself'... which was important as a single female.

We 24 hour test drove ALL of the 2004 minivans available in our area. Toyota, Honda and Mazda were top ranking for us. The toyotas and hondas were very hard to find, as they are popular this year. The Nissan was a good van, but the queer interior was too much to get past. We eventually chose the Mazda MPV based on reliability, price and our test drive. We were overall more satisfied with the Mazda. Visabilty is much better that all the others and the overall drive was pleasing. We relied heavily on the Consumer Reports ratings for reliability. If you are "on the fence" we would definately recommend the Mazda MPV. Good Luck!

This is our 2nd MPV.Had 93 model for 10 years and been shopping, narrowing the finalists to Odysessy, Sienna, and MPV. Decided the best price/value would be the MPV and feel we made the right decision. The 04 model gets better gas mileage than our previous MPV. Rear windows is a plus and the tail gate rear seat is a winner with the kids. Went to a drive in movie and they loved this feature. Have taken one vacation trip and the handling was flawless. Read some of other consumer reports on the MPV prior to buying and found many of the negatives to be unfounded.

Purchased my minivan in '03, after researching several makes I thought the reviews for Mazda gave the impression it was a reliable Japanese quality minivan, was I wrong. After shelling out over $32000 with the Mazda assurance plan that it will provide a free loaner vehicle for warranty work, they make a real inconvience to get one and hit you with a copay. Warranty work is not done the 1st time and if they work on more it more than twice you are responsible for paying the warranty work not Mazda. I still have defects that were never fixed. Looking for new vehicle, it won't be a Mazda!!

After driving a windstar for 7 years, my wife and I went for a test drive with the new MPV. We were sold by its new looks and great driving performance. I was initally afraid that the interior would be too small and cramped for driving, but I was pleasently suprised. The features of role down side windows, electric side doors, sliding seat for access, and better gas milage fit our lifestyle. Finally, unlike most larger mini's, there is no "sway" when making sharp turns. It drives and parks like a conventional car.

But, with the addition of one son in 2000 and another in 2002, and a wife who feels we need to bring everything including the kitchen sink along on outings a minivan was needed. Compared every minivan offering at the time plus SUV's. The MPV's balance of handling, power, comfort, space and style sold me and my wife. It is also a capbale hauler. I can tow my 16 feet boat (have towing pak), kids, dog and cargo, and still feel I have enough power and space. Overall love this van and would buy another.

I have had the MPV for two years now. No issues whatsoever. Great van for the family. Great vehicule in the snow (I am Canadian). I am a "car guy" and have had many cars this is by far the best. Bottom line...if you are thinking of getting one Just get it! You won't regret it. Mazda has really improved , so much so that I'll be getting the Mazda 6.

The MPV is a great value for mini-van. I wanted something that wasn't big and bulky and drove like a car yet had the seating capacity of a van. I found just that in the MPV. Each day I drive it I like it even more/

We have 2003 ES model. Fun to drive and perfectly capable of hauling a family of 5 with all the cargo. Best handling and extremely goof-looking interior. Reliability is questionable - we had tranny replaced on a long trip when the car stalled on a highway at 7pm in December. Had to spend 3 days in upstate NY on our way to Florida while waiting for the replacement (at Mazda's expense). Electric doors frequently malfunction.

The MPV is a true mini-van. I was considering buying a sedan, but this van drives/rides like a sedan...and when compared to a sedan, it has tons of cargo space. It gives you the best of both worlds. I can't say enough about the versatility of this vehicle. Anyone who is considering purchasing a mini-van should definitely test drive this one.

Torn between the Odyssey and the MPV. My wife and I decided on the MPV. I am happy to say we made the right choice. although smaller then most of its counter-parts. This van definitely makes up for it in style, comfort, and other features(too many to name).

My Mazda MPV is very fun to drive, suspension is awesome in the corners. Has everything I need for comfort and plenty of poweer for a 3.0 litre. Only draw back is shift lever interferes with radio, but controls on the steering wheel do away with that. Very happy with my purchase.

Excellent road holding and ride. Powerful V6 2.5L. Ample cargo and passenger space for a small family. All in all much better than any of the other similar sized vans on the market. The cargo space is VERY versatile. I like the way the third row seats fold half down and tip over to make a tailgate seat for the ball games and the beach. My vehicle was fully imported from Japan and has that Japanese attention to detail and quality that others only wish they had.

This is our 3rd MPV. I've been in the car business for 22 years and never bought a new vehicle until I went to work for Mazda. The MPV is very good looking and dependable but let me make a few suggestions. The traction control feature is a must if you live in a snow belt. If you want a power seat you must go to the ES model. If it were available in the Lx model I would give the vehicle all 10's. Transmission had to be reprogrammed but is fine now.

INTERIOR CARPET CHOICES OF LIGHT GREY AND LIGHT BEIGE SHOW EVERY MARK OF SHOES.BETWEEN MIDDLE AND FRONT SEATS HAVE DISMAL LEG ROOM. OUR 2 YEAR OLD GRANDAUGHTER CAN KICK THE FRONT SEAT. ARM RESTS ON FRONT SEATS ARE WAY TOO LOW TO BE OF ANY USE WHATSOEVER. WE LIKE THE ROLL DOWN WINDOWS ON SLIDERS AND NO CUT LINE IN THE BODY FOR SLIDERS. I bought my MPV (trading in a Camry) because I am actively competing in dog shows and needed a vehicle to transport the dogs in their crates. The enterior is comfortable and there is plenty of room for all the equipment, the exterior is pleasantly stylish, and the ride is amazingly smooth and powerful.I was surprised that there was much less body roll on tight turns as compared to the Camry. This is a great vehicle to drive!

This is our 2nd MPV, we had the 2000 model. Our decision to stay with the Mazda product was because of the reliabilty of our previous van and the upgrades to the 2004 model. We had no problems with the 2000 model, only usual wear and tear and we averaged over 20k a year. The cost for the 2004 model was comparable to the other dealerships' vans, so we stayed with the Mazda family. We are not against the other dealerships, so there is no bias in our sale.

I previously owned a Ford Windstar and was ready to update. I considered the Honda Odyssey but I preferred the slightly smaller size and more compact look of the MPV. Strangely enough, the smaller size seems to be the main criticism I have heard about the MPV,but I think it makes you feel less like you are driving a van. It is very nippy and has a lot of standard features considering the price-ie rear ac & remote mirrors. So far, I am very happy with it.

We bought our MPV to replace a 1994 Toyota Camry 7 passenger wagon. The MPV has been superior in every respect: comfort, handling, fuel economy, ease of ingress/egress, fun factor, etc. Our average mileage is 20-21 mpg in combination city/highway driving. So far, after nearly 15000 miles, the only visits to the dealership have been for scheduled maintenance.

When I first heard the term "Body of a Minivan, Soul of a Sports Car" I was quite sceptical, 'til I test drove it. I tried the Sienna and Oddysey, but the MPV really had the bargain I was looking for. For the price of a somewhat "middle class" Sienna, I can get an MPV that's fully loaded, and I mean the works, leather, traction ctrl, sunroof.. everything! Handling is awesome. The V6 is strong & it's as zippy as my Golf GTI, but less problematic =). I found out that the MPV is the only minivan here today made in Japan (the rest are US made) it has great resale value too. Truly a sports car disguised as a minivan.

An excellent value, the added Sports Package lends to a less "Soccer- Mommish" appearance. Great handling, the smoothest ride, seven passengers very comfortably. Removable second row bucket seats and fold down third row seat are fantastic, makes for an easy transition. Plenty of cargo room, not notably less roomier than competitors which I have rented in the past. Sleek interior with great sound system and 6 CD player. Overall a real delight so far, and the dealership bent over backwards for me. Great price and a great value, someone actually asked me the other day, "Would you mind moving your silver Mercedes??", and I answered, that "M" stands for Mazda!!

Our MPV has been great. We saw it as the best blend of performance, handling, styling and utility available for the money. Just purchased this loaded EX for $27K!!!! Other minivans we were interested in: Toyota Sienna 04 (have to wait 4 months and pay $34K) and Chrysler T&C limited 03 (we had a Dodge for 6 years). The MPV just felt right, smaller size, more nible handling, stylish (with GFX package), kids love it (6 & 9). Everyone has commented on it-saying how great it looks. You cannot go wrong here!!

good-looking, nice-handling, my baby!

I am a female driver and I look at cars in parking lots. I can't figure out that I drive any cars too big (like Expedition) or too small (like Honda Civic). I love the size, cute look, features, power and handling of the MPV of Mazda. I got it at very good deal with zero percent financing.

Got my mpv two days ago. It's accleration surprised me. Also, the 7 seater effortlessly zoomed uphill, it also stopped with precision since the ABS and electronic brake force distribution helped tremendrously. The handling is top-notch in the minivan category. The look of the GFX package is handsome. A must-have minivan for fun driving.
