Have owned since new, going on 7 years and have 135,000 miles. Overall 22-23 mpg. Out of warranty after 18 months (36,000 miles). Very comfortable ride, sits 6 adults or 7 if 3 kids. Seats come out in halves, easier than older Chryslers. Paid $21,500 new. Power doors expensive ($400)repair , paid for 3 now. Mostly highway miles, keep the oil changed, been very reliable. Goes through brakes. Automatic Transmission shifts rough, all my Chrysler minivans have. Anti-lock brakes awesome, thought I'd nailed someone last week, stopped quickly with no loss of control.

Bought our 2004 with about 80,000 miles on it as our 2nd car. We use it more as our primary car now because it's so nice to drive and simple to use. The most user-friendly vehicle you could buy with kids. Handles good, good seats and delivers decent mileage, if you run it reasonably. Best interstate cruiser I ever had. Note that I owned 10 cars before and have driven many more. Had to replace the tranny approx one month after purchase, for $1600.00, but Dodge is known for that. Good, cheap, used buy. I thought the power sliding doors were a joke until I used them. I would buy one again.

I bought this Caravan used with 21K miles for thousands less than a Sienna or Odyssey. I've put 60K miles on it and have not had any major problems. Other than regular oil/filter changes, I have replaced an EGR valve($100) and spark plug wires($60). Granted resale value is lower than Honda and Toyota, but I am pleased with the reliability. Great value. I would definitely buy another late model, low mileage used Caravan.

We bought this van b/c it was far cheaper than the Odyssey. It had been a great car until about a year ago. Now 5 years old, it's beginning to disappoint us. It's little things: there's a rattle in both sides of the front suspension, the front windows aren't working, trim is popping loose on the sides, the water pump went out and both doors have had the wiring harnesses replaced. Unfortunately, the warranty ran out long ago. The van drives/rides great. It's great on trips, but long-term reliability is questionable. Also, our mpg has never been good. It's now down to 18- unacceptable in a V6 minivan rated higher than that. Even on straight interstate we only get 21 or 22 mpgs.

Great Buy, Excellent Features.

Great van. I extended the warranty on my van when we brought it because it was used and had 5,000 miles on it. I have brought it in for some engine and transmission issues but thank goodness it was under warranty still a little concerning for a relatively new car. My advice if you intend to keep any vehicle past 3 years get the extended warranty. At least it is a good resale feature.

Where do I begin? My engine went out at 52,000, the side electric doors operate sporadically, the suspension rattles, the brakes go out very fast, the tranny shifts rough. Do not buy a Caravan!

I am driving les as I have gotten older, however the comfort of this van is just great. I have had no problems, and the mileage is superior. When I first get in the van I know I am not going to have any operating problems. And I can't wait to start the engine and take off to do errands or visit friends. This my second new van and Chrysler has a winner. In the summer, plenty of air conditioning and lots of heat in the winter. The nice thing is, passengers can enjoy these features when they are in the back seat.

I've not had good luck with this vehicle at all. It's been in for various repairs 5 times now. Electrical problems, fuel system problems and mechanical problems. Bushings in the front sway bar went bad at 24000 miles. I just took it in for my state inspection and it had a bad tie rod end at 33000 miles. And guess what? Dodge refuses to pay for the tie rod end under warranty. My wife drives this vehicle and she is not an aggressive driver at all. I've maintained it properly and done everything I can to keep it running smoothly. I do like the removable seating on the interior. Lots of room, but not the most comfortable vehicle I've driven. This was not cheap either. Thumbs down!

We use this van for travel to Columbus at least twice/month. Also travel with 4 to 6 friends to the casinos twice to four times monthly. All comment on ride and comfort. Full compliment of riders allows for 23.3mpg. Average use is about 2500+ miles/month. Am looking foward to new model in fall of 2007. I'm sure we will get another trouble free year and a half on this van.

I really love this van and until two months ago would have recommended it to anyone. My van is the ultimate road-trip vehicle but in two months, has been in the dealership for repairs to the ENGINE twice! I think for the money its a great vehicle, even though it doesn't have as much interior room as the new Hondas and Toyotas but I'm wondering how long its going to last. As a high mileage driver, I'm feeling like it isn't made well enough to stand up to the pressure. Also, Dodge could have used decent quality trim materials inside but again, for the price its a fantastic van. Still worried about the engine and its "issues".

I am very pleased to date with our Caravan. The DVD system with the remote headphones is a blessing on long drives. Had one problem with the driver's side window, dealership replaced a voltage regulator. Gas mileage is not quite getting what I had hoped, about 17-19 MPG.

I traded a Chevy Venture for the Grand caravan. The mileage has been way below what Chrysler quotes. We have had numerous problems with the A/C, although they cannot duplicate the problem. The pick up isn't the greatest, especially up hills. It is great on the highway, smooth and comfy. I probably will not buy another.

Bought with 14800 miles on the odometer and since have driven it 2000 miles. It rides and outperforms the 98 Grand Caravan that we had traded in. This is one of the one of the most user friendly vehicles on the road. We had great luck with our old one for 5 years and 122,000 miles and expect the same from our 2004 model.

I currently have a 2004 model. This is my second Dodge Caravan. The first was a 1999 which performed very well. When I traded it in on the current one it had 69000 miles. The only problem I had with it was the emergency brake unit which had to be replaced at around 20000 miles, it was covered by the warrenty. The main reason I traded was the great financial deals they were offering at the time. I did upgrade to a larger V6 engine. There is a big difference in performance. I also added the power sliding doors, great.

This is my first minivan to own and I will probably own another one when the time comes. So easy to get kids in and out of the back! I love that is is very spacious. We can't wait to take it on a long road trip.

I have driven this van from Phoenix to LA, Vegas severial times, I have never been tired when I got to where I was going, when I made the same trip with a car I was always tired, almost like jet lag. I do feel that this van is very comfortable, and most of all I do feel safe in it. This is my second new one.

Prior to this vehicle I had a 2001 Lincoln, Touring Sedan, Town Car. The Dodge Grand Carvan is far superior in all categories, leg room, passenger comfort, ride and driving. I now have two of these vehicles and love them. Over the years I have had numerous Lincolns and Cadillacs and with their downsizing since 1998 have made them unacceptable for my use. This Dodge fills the desires of a good size, comfortable, safe, fun to drive vehicle for me and my family.

This has been a like riding on air. The drive and handling is so smooth. Would like some extra oomph in hard excelleration, (but its a minivan) and have had fit and finnish problems. Had to take it to the overstaffed dealer to replace a weather strip on the top after a week. The dealer sent me to a bodyshop which looked at the strip that came off, and called the DEALER to order the part which would take 2 wks to arrive (we didnt get to pick the part up. The piece eventualy drove us mad so a more helpful service man stuck some doulble sided tape on and fixed the problem.....

I didn't want to leave w/out it. We picked it up 2 days later. I am 150% satisfied with our Grand caravan & would reccommend it to any family looking.

This is our 4th caravan. The last three have been Grand Caravans. The latest SXT has a 3.8L engine and has greatly improved its performance. It appears to be much quiter. The 16 inch wheels have improved the ride and handling. And this is the only Minivan that can be equipped with a handicap scotter hoist mounted in the back, because of all other models have fold down seats. I base an excellent rating on my years of Minivan experience. The only con- While the seats are well padded my spouse with back trouble has made a comment about the lack of good lower back support.

We bought our van because we were left raising two of my grandchildren and they wanted a van. IT'S BEEN THE BEST THING WE COULD HAVE DONE!!! The girls really enjoy it and we've made several long distance trips (16,000 miles or more) in the time we've had it, with no trouble. You're right - it's extremely comfortable to drive and ride in. In fact my son, who has a Honda Odyssy, says he's buying a Dodge Grand Caravan the next time they buy. (I've riden in his van, and it's noisy, small and uncomfortable.) Our ride is also very quiet - something that most comment on when they ride with us. A VERY SATISFIED CUSTOMER

My wife and I love our Grand Caravan SXT, Its the fourth van that we have owned. Our last van was a Voyeger and it was nothing but trouble. We have had good luck with the Caravan's that we have bought so far. The room in the back is great for traveling and the seats are easy to fold for cargo. The only thing I wanted was the fold down DVD entertainment system but its not worth the price. I was interested in buying the Toyota Sienna but could not get use to the placement of the shift, also Dodge had a much better rebate.

I enjoy the vehicle very much. The AWD is fantastic. I was disappointed when I ordered the towing package that didn't come with a hitch! I would really like the fold-in-the-floor seats as I very often have them (or some) removed. My wife and I use the vehicle for our favorite sports of camping near a river where we can canoe. The fold up seats would make the shuttles easier. Presently your fold-in-the-floor seats prohibit AWD and if anything I would like more ground clearance. Yes, an SUV would be great but I also like the space to carry a 4x8 sheet of plywood. There are times when we spread out our sleeping bags on the floor.

I have to admit that I researched Consumer Reports and based on their recommendation I looked at the Toyota, Honda, and Nissan without giving this vehicle a chance at first. I then decided not to limit my options and tried the Dodge. The Dodge Grand Caravan SXT has a smooth and quiet ride that matches the Toyota and is better by a large margin over the noisy Honda and rattle prone Nissan. A powerful engine that gets excellent gas mileage (I'm averaging 21+ MPG). The SXT is also fully loaded with all the options - including dual power sliding doors. As an added bonus we purchased this van at a great price!

The anniversary edition gave us lots of extras and although I wouldn't have chosen the leather initially, I do enjoy the way it feels. The kids love the video screen and I love the way they ride quietly without asking "are we there yet?" It drives beautifully and everything is laid out so it falls easily to hand. The v-6 engine provides plenty of power and it tows the boat without struggling. I am very happy with my new Dodge and would highly recommend it.

The second i got home though i realized that the 2005 model is going to have fold in the floor middle and back row seats Maybe ill trade this one in for an 05

I drive all over Montana in all types of weather. I have never been let down by my Caravan. I never thought I would drive much less purchase a mini-van. This is a rock solid investment. Whomever says you have to be desperate to own a mini-van has never driven a Dodge Caravan.

The first Dodge Caravan I owned was a 1985. I loved the versatility of the van. Then my best friend bought a 1993 Caravan and I fell in love with the extras it offered. The style had completely changed. It no longer looked like a box car but a sleek machine and I wanted one for myself. And to my suprise I just purchased a 2001 Dodge Grand Caravan Sport on March 1, 2004 it might not be knew but I wouldn't buy any other style.

Superior power at 210 hp. Responsive out of the gate. SXT comes standard with all wheel disk brakes. Seating for six but long haul is comfortable for only six. Drives like a car. Cornering is no problem. DVD rear seat video is great for long trips or keeping children/grandchildren quiet. I truly love this vehicle.

This is the 3rd generation Dodge Caravan we have owned. (1985, 1992, and, now, 2003). Much to our kids confusion, we have kept the 1992 Caravan as our in-town vehicle. They BOTH are easy to drive. It is fun to drive, for me at 6'2" and my wife of 5'0". We both can feel comnfortable, see well, drive long trips (a periodic requirement for us) and arrive after 12 hours of driving without feeling fatigued. It is interesting that we have come from driving a VW Combi-van in the 1960's to Caravan in the 00's!

Anniversary Edition should come complete with ALL the toys. Isnt that why its a special edition. Lacking is the enhanced overhead features like optional horn beep to lock doors, daytime light on/off etc.,load leveling feature, I think the ES has all these other bells/whistles that would make the SXT Anniversary Edition a true Special Edt.

Being in my early thirties and mother of twins I was not keen on purchasing a minivan, even though the need was there. When I went to the dealership, I could not believe the look, reliability and comfort of the 2004 Minivan that the purchase was made. Today I'm glad I did and the so do the kids. With the drop down dvd and 6disc changer they love their time in the car and so does mom.

Before I consider buying this car, I went through all the SUVs and none of them compared to the Grand Caravan. I never owed a mini van before, I had an SUV and wanted something big enough for my family (3kids) but at the same time comfortable and stylish, as well very reliable. It drives like a luxury car but is big like a van and the comfort is absolutely the best! I don't even look at other cars on the road anymore! I made a wonderful choice! The price paid is worthy!

It has many extra features that you can purchase to add to it's already beauty. We have already reccommed dodge caravans to our famly members and now we have family who purchased them also. We are now looking at the Dodge 2005 caravans. hey are spectacular. We will definetely upgrade when they come out.I have driven a ford Windstar for a short period of time. Ugg! I felt like I was driving an old fashion caravan. Not my style. Nothing about it excited me.

We bought a new 1996 Dodge Caravan and had it for 6 years and traveled and camped with it all over the USA. It was wonderful. So we bought a new 2002 Chrysler van after 'selling' the Dodge van to our daughter and she loves it! They haul their pets, shrubbery, small trees in it and everything. The only drawback is you have to store the seats, and they don't fold down; but roomy it is. We don't see why people buy SUVs when they could have a minivan with a lot more space.

Nice ride and handeling, poor mileage, noisy. This is the third and last Dodge product I purchase, the AC on all of them spews mold spores into the cabin and the drive trains are poor at best. I already traded this joke for a Montana EXT, now that's a nice van for a fair price.

Great handling and power. Leave seats in and carry a load of passengers or take out the back seat and even the captain middle seats and you have a hauling “shop till you drop” vehicle! It has gotten our girls through high school and now college sports, and transported their belongings(including large wooden couches) for their apartments. I can't imagine being without one. I can remove the middle seats easily by myself. I can take out the back seat, but prefer help carrying it. I would not consider any other brand. I was rearended on a freeway. After looking at a Nissan (weird Dash,Not very friendly layout) and Honda Oddessey (good performance , Interior was loud in back especcialy) we decided on the Dodge based on the previous van being so reliable (150,000+ mi.) and the quietness in the interior. This van is fun, seems reliable, has new updated features, very smooth ride. The bad: drivers seat sits further up than in the 99' version that I owned, and it isless comfortable. Uncomfortable arms stretch to drive/ parking brake too far down/ cant release it w/o undoing my seatbelt/ straining my back /hamstring. Why change? Body style not flattering as the 99'. leather seats are nice, but lost under the seat storage, split bench does not lay down. I do really like the van, but change isn't always good. Overall it is growing on me and I rate it a flat 8.5

We have used Dodge Caravans for our business for almost 10 years...and we wouldn't have anything else. I keep them until they have about 150,000 miles on them and have never had any major problems. I do a lot of driving (200 miles per day minimum) & a lot of that is in bad winter conditions. The Dodge Caravan has always been great even the bitter Northern Michigan winters. It's easy to drive, a joy to maintain and more reliable than any other vehicle I've owned. When I retire and sell my business, I'm 99.9% sure that my personal vehicle will be another Dodge Grand Caravan. Keep up the good work!!

My Dodge Caravan is the most satisfying vehicle I have owned. It is easy to drive and operate. It is the most comfortable vehicle I have known. We thoroughly enjoy the high quality which allows us to carry six adults very comfortable. The sliding doors and opening hatch, all with a button from within or outside the vehicle, add to the convenience and pleasure of using the Caravan.

The only thing that is important to the buyer of a cargo carring vehicle is the interior size of the biggest box I can put into its cargo space: Length, width and height. Please add in the future. Incidentally, if it does not have a minimum of 4 foot width in the cargo space, it is not considered as a vehicle useful to one needing to haul anything other than small vacation, grocery or household items.

Fellow Americans, just because it doesn't have the "coveted" "H" ot "T" (Honda and Toyota) on the hood does not mean this isn't one great van. Great ride, excellent looks and all the Caravan's I have ever owned have never given me a day of trouble. Take care of it and it will take care of you, for a lot less then the Honda or Toyota.

I vowed I'd never buy a minivan; after my lease was up on my SUV we decided to purchase a minivan; I fell in love with the Dodge Grand Caravan. My biggest love was that i had to get to an appt in the middle of a blizzard. It was at least 4' of snow on the ground and this vehicle was very heavy and i didn't slip or slid AT ALL! It gripped the ground unbelieveable and it completely sold me that day!!!!

Very nice vehicle, good quality for the money, lots of attention to features makes this van above the others. No whimpy clink shut doors or whimpy horns on this vehicle. It's solid! Excellent excelleration with the 3.8ltr. Good control in winter conditions. Very comfortable, underline very! Lots of room!

Great vehicle, with many uses. It's my office, my taxi, my way of hauling goods all over the place, we travel with it. So many uses. The only problem I have had with it is the seals around the sliding doors and back lift has out and I had to take it in to be re-glued a couple times. This vehicle handles great in snow and I need that in Cleveland winters. The traction control is wonderful

Love it!

I had been driving a Ford Aerostar for nine years. I went to Dodge first and was so impressed. Then I went and drove a Windstar--there was no comparison. It is as if Ford doesn't care about quality or the competition. But I do. I chose the Dodge.

Not to mention numerous fit and finish problems with interior trim, arm rests, and seats! We are currently looking into buying a Honda and dumping this van! Do yourselve a favor and stay away from Dodge minivans. This is our second. Our first one we replaced 3 transmissions in that!!!

I used to collect evidence for the District Attorney's office and had to respond to various police depts, crime scenes, and hospitals on a stat basis. I was blessed to have my mini-van because it never let me down. I was in it up to 14 hours a day at times. It took a beating also, and still looks and feels brand new. I love it and would buy another one in a heartbeat!!!

The only van you can compare the Anniversary Edition to is the Toyota XLE Limited, which actually cost a few bucks more. Have had the car for 3 months, it has been perfect so far. I already have 7000 miles and is still running strong.Haven't had any tranny or engine probs. Would recommend to anyone who wants a van.

This car is smoother than '04 Sienna & MUCH quieter than the Honda Oddity. (But not as quality as the Navigator, Pacifica, or Lexus.) Very versatile, and therefore quite addictive. Highway manners are stable& predictable. Styling is nice; fit & finish - excellent. The feel is quality; but the look is boring. A dependable work van; able to trudge through snow & muddy construction sites with ease.

This is my 1st GC but 3rd Chrysler van. Previously owned 2 G Voyagers. They just keep getting better. None of the vans ever gave me trouble. This one is loaded -AWD, all leather, infrared heating system, infiniti sound system. Looked at SUV's but other than a big Suburban no one can give you the space, versatility, & room w/o paying the price for gas. It is very comfortable & much more quieter than previous vans. Who could refuse the rebates?

As near perfect as one can want in driving behavior comfort appearance and performance. I prefer it to my BMW 5 series on both long and short journeys. Compared Many makes and models and kept coming back to the Dodge Grand Caravan. After having a Ford Windstar - since '96 - I did not want to go the Ford Route again. The creature comforts are many on the Dodge and the ride is excellent. The only option we did not get was the leather interior & DVD. The 6 CD in dash puts out great sound and the Sun Roof will be a nice feature when the weather get warmer. Dealer was discounting heavily and the Rebates made it a bargain compared to the other mini-vans. We ended up almost 8 thousand under sticker!

We absolutely love the Dodge Grand Caravan!! We have the SXT Anniversary edition. It has tons of room and our daughter loves the DVD entertainment system! It handles fabulously in snow and rain, as well as dry road conditions. We really like the power doors and power rear lift gate -- it's a blessing when trying to get an infant into the car with all of the baby gear, too! We've gushed to our family and friends about our new vehicle and a few of them have gone out and purchased one for themselves!!

Great Family Mini Van bought it for my wife and 7 year old daughter. My little one loves watching her DVD's on the way to school. I had heard that there were some quality control issues with the Chrysler products, but I guess we lucked out - perfect so far! We test drove the Honda Odyssey and the Toyota Sienna Mini Van because of the rave reviews CR gave them expecting to purchase one, trying to talk ourselves into them, but they were just to plain with a stiff ride and a utilitarian interior. I guess we are just too old and enjoy our creature comforts.

It has a smooth ride and excellent performance (we've only had it a few weeks and have already put several hundred miles on it). It gets better mileage than you would expect for a vehicle this size. Finding what you need to find under the hood is easy with the convenient yellow labeling of owner manageable items, such as oil dipstick, air filter, etc. The built in 6 disk DVD changer and flip down TV are great with the kids, and the push button remote key that opens the sliding side doors and the rear gate is awesome. This van has everything you could ask for and more.

First Grand Caravan purchase was in 1996 new. Then Expedition EB SUV. Now back to Grand Caravan. 3 kids age 6, 8, 10 makes quick easy access. All Pwr. doors and liftgate easy to use and safe too. Can park in garage now without worry of 2nd car getting dinged up from kids opening doors to wide. Test drove the 04 Sienna but were sticker shocked at nearly $7,000 higher price. Bought the Grand Caravan and used the $7,000 savings on a 7 night family disney cruise to the Carribean. We got it all!

We had the brand new Dodge Grand Caravan Anniversary edition for less then a month before the transmission went out. They've now had it in their shop for 4 days as the dealership doesn't know what the problem is. Chrysler keeps sending out more parts to replace, which has me extremely leery. There is a reason this vehicle is so much cheaper then the competition. My advice is buck up and buy the quality Honda or Toyota vans...

I have went all over to find a deal to get the same luxuries for about the same payment. Sam Long of Gary Mathews in Clarksville TN finally helped me get the best deal that both my husband and I could live with. This van is beatiful and full of space. Imagine my surprise when I discovered the radio controls on my steering wheel. If you want patient and hardworking sales men definately go there and ask for Sam Long, tell them I sent you.

We looked for months at other vans and SUVs to buy for our growing family. The anniversary edition was a plus and sold us on this wonderful minivan. I love driving my minivan and the sliding power doors are a big help with two small children. My only complaint is that I've mysteriously locked myself out of the van while getting gas and again while running in to drop off something. The doors automatically unlock when you open them, but somehow re-lock themselves when they shut?!? Anyone else have this problem?

I have owned 4 Grand Caravans 2 of which were Sport. I loved the sport model because it had a stiffer suspension and 16" tires, nicer interior. I ended up buying a Sport 2003 because you are not making this model for 2004. The fact I had to go all over because most models did not have rear AC amazed me. In Florida, you are promoting a family vehicle without AC in the back where the children are? Who was thinking when they designed that option???? I love my Dodge van, when I turned in my last car and bought the Sport 2003 in Sept. I had 118,900 miles on my car. Never had a major problem with this car either. I live in my car and drive for a living.
