I found Sammy's car dealership online when I was looking to purchase a BMW. I found a 328i BMW at his dealership with a well reasonable price and decided to take a look. The first time I went was to look at the car and I fell in love with it. I returned back to the dealer a week later with a downpayment in hand. Sammy was very helpful overall in the buying process. With being a first buyer myself, he was very helpful in clarifying and giving me a deal for the car. I am beyond satisfy with my experience and with my 2013 328i BMW. It was definitely a great investment and I recommend this place to anyone if you are looking for reasonably priced luxury car or an affordably used car!

This vehicle is sleek and the Hemi is awesome but that's as far as the perks go. We have only had this vehicle for 2 years and already had to replace the transmission and head gasket. Now having issue with coolant system. Have already had water pump repaired and the check engine light is on again. Was out of commission and in the shop more than on the road, at least we had the warranty on it. Replaced waterpump, thermostat twice, head gasket, blower motor, transmission all in a years time. Its so pretty sitting in the driveway but not reliable for any type of driving. Will never buy another Dodge and am currently in the market for a different make of SUV.

Had trouble from day one engine light came on the next day after purchase. The dealer said it was a relay switch which they tried to fix six times has never passed inspection six I had it over three years. Put it in the shop first shop said transmission second opinion was in the shop for a month trying to figure it out slot of broken wires and even he sent the truck out do other repairs he said he never seen anything like this before and he does transmissions. 950. 00 later I'm praying that's it oh and don't let it rain runs like crap never go to family dodge down essington by the airport.

I am a former Marine that purchased my durango brand new on September 1st 2004, with only 18 miles. It has been a truly excellent ride for nearly 10 years. I have put over 227800 miles on this truck, the only thing The first major repair is when I replaced the EGR valve which was three years ago. Didn't do schedule maintenance on time, may have went an additional 2000 miles before changing the oil, transmission fluid. etc. Now after 10 years I was told that my transmission needed to be replaced, I have read all the complaints others have experienced But I only will purchase American cars except Fords. I won't be buying a Dodge Durango SUV do to the change in body style it's too femin

We have a 2004 durango slt 5.7L with a hole in the block. This car was extremly well maintained. The car eats roters, has had never ending electrical problems and spun a main bearing at 160000 mils. It has never missed an oil change, the oil comes out as clean as it was put in. Crysler will not recall this problem or rebait the replacement. After serching for a replacement I have found that this seems to be a very very common problem with the 5.7, 4.7, and the 6.0.. Do not Buy A Dodge Durango or any Mopar Hemi with out asking or resurching this motor. I have lost 8,000.00 dollers on this vehical. I will never buy a Mopar again!

2004 Dodge Durango Limited 5.7 Hemi with under 80,000 miles. I am the original owner. Car has been well maintained. Oil changes every 3000 miles. Never had any overheating problems. This vehicle has served me well for the past 9 years until about a month ago. Without warning, while going down the freeway, it made a terrible noise. I knew it was something major. The oil light came on. There was a bunch of smoke. I shut the engine off and pulled off the freeway. I could see oil dripping from the engine. After having to towed, i learned there was a hole in the engine block from a thrown rod. After doing some research on the web, i found 100s if not 1000s of cases just like mine.

One great car :-)

I owned my 2004 dodge durango SLT 5.7 Hemi for almost 9 years. I've owned over ten cars in my life and never had a better car than my durango. Only had to replace the battery, and the brakes but that's it. I just hit 100 thousand today and still drives like when I bought it with 8 miles. This car could go for another 100 thousand without a problem!! My sister just got a 2009 ford explorer and that has had more problems than my Durango.

I own an SLT 5.7L HEMI V8 4X4. Absolutely LOVE IT!! I bought mine in 2008 with 76,000 miles on it. It looked and ran like brand new. In my 5 years of ownership all I've had to replace is routine stuff. Battery, tires, brakes, serpentine belt, trans pan gasket at 110,000 due to small leak ($75). I have 151,000 miles on it and it runs the same as the day I purchased it. Only complaints: CD player stopped working and rust on rear tailgate by handle. I pull a large boat every summer with it also. I had a severe 50mph accident couple years ago in snow which smashed the entire passenger side. Not a scratch on me and drove the vehicle to repair shop. Extremely safe and reliable vehicle!!!

Love this vehicle, but there are some minor issues I've experienced. My CD player quit working about 2 years ago. The manifold as a crack in it (so theres a ticking noise), there is a slow coolant leak but it doesn't overheat it I keep coolant in it, and when it rains my radio won't work for couple days, and this has happened twice while it rained the turn signals wouldn't work & all warnings light illuminated. This however is a safe vehicle. Last February during a bad snow storm I slid into a telephone pole & it crushed drivers door, windowdidnt shatter, but I wasn't hurt at all. Great winter/snow vehicle. I love this vehicle & happy I purchased it!

Stay away crom this vehicle. After 70,000 miles, engines will throw a rod and destroy the engine block. The Hemi 5.7 are notorious for this. You have been warned!!!! Google "hemi engine failure". A new engine + installation will run over $7,000.

I bought my 2004 Durango used in 2006 with less than 20000 miles on it and regret it. It has been a complete piece of junk! Overheats constantly even after replacing thermostat & cooling fan, differentials went out after a couple of years, CD player doesn't work, 3rd row seat literally came detached from the floor, cheap plastic interior has multiple cracks. Only gets 12 miles per gallon. Very dangerous blind spot in front. When I turn on the front window defroster, the power steering belt slips and makes a loud squeal and I lose power steering. This thing is only 8 years old! I have read multiple reviews with these exact same issues. Do not buy this vehicle!!!

We honestly saw this beauty on the lot and I swore they were lying to me. The way it smelled, drove looked I thought it was a 2010 model. Unbelievable. Drives so smooth and love that HEMI!!! We have 3 kids and this is perfect for them and all the things we do. We are getting ready to go to the snow next month and look to have a blast!!! We test drove, the BMW X5, Grand Cherokee, Toyota Rav, Ford Explorer, Ford Escape, Ford Taurus Suv, Hyundai Santa Fe,Nissan Xterra, Dodge by far was the most impressive and funnest to drive and enjoy. Just exceeded expectations. I am trading in my eclipse for a dodge car next so we have 2 Dodge's. Grab life by the horns!! Go Dodge!!

I ordered my 2004 Durango while stationed overseas in Germany. It was shipped to me there from the U.S., and we used it for 2 years traveling all over Europe. We then shipped it back to the U.S. and then to Australia where we used it in the middle of the Australian Outback with the extreme heat, red dirt and dust. We've recently moved back to the U.S. again and we still have our Durango and have never had any issues with it at all. Matter of fact, we've only had it in the shop for routine maintenance. This vehicle has been from the cold in Russia/Europe to the heat of the Australian Outback with out any issues at all. We just LOVE it it!!!

I had not ever owned an American car (and I'm 48 years old) because I thought they were not reliable. so when we bought this one used with 37,000 miles from a dealership we also bought the biggest maintenance warranty available for $2500.00. Turned out the only repair ever needed in the last 3 years only cost about $360. It was for a broken motor mount and some kind of a gasket on the exhaust system. It has been very reliable and I would recommend it. Ours now has about $80,000 on it and still going strong.

I bought my 2004 Durango in 2005. I now have 81,000 miles and I haven't had any major problems. I've only replaced the battery and brakes. I drive 50 miles each day and I love the smooth ride and reliability. The Infinity sound system is impressive! I can seat 7 people comfortably. The only negative thing is the poor gas mileage.

I just broke the 100k mile mark on my truck and i can't say it enough, this has got to be the BEST SUV EVER! I have owned 2 Explorers, an Expedition, and even a 4runner(BIG mistake) Out of all of them the Durango is a far superior SUV. I have done everything with this truck over the years, from hauling the family around to towing other cars to using it as my daily commuter car. It has never, EVER let me down! That thing just won't give up! Over the past few years the only maintenance I've done was change the oil and change to a new set of tires, that's it in over 5 years that's all I have had to do. It still looks and runs like brand new! I will definitly recommend this truck!

I bought my Durango new with only 4 miles on it and have loved every mile I have ever driven it. I have boys who are in athletics and I carry bags of baseball gear and football gear year round to games and tournaments all over the Northwest. My Durango is spacious, seats move up and down easy, and is very easy to drive. I'm teaching my 15-year-old to drive and he loves the Durango compared to other cars he has tried to drive because of its ease in turning, ability to see well from all angles, and height off the ground. I would definitely buy another Durango.

My wife and I have always been proud of our family-vehicle-and-workhorse-in-one. Unlike most SUV owners, we know what the "U" stands for. Aside from one problem with a transmission module in the early years, and unfortunate cheap plastic construction on ext. and int., this vehicle has been worth every dime. We haul livestock and farm materials. We vacation. We commute. We shop. We're still making payments, though, but that's ok, because we plan to own this vehicle forever. Glad to see West Virginia law enforcement has made good use of the Durango for their fleets. It's a shame that we'll never see another SUV like this again, especially since Daimler dumped the Chrysler money pit.

We love the third row seating, the one feature we miss since we traded in our 04 Pilot on our Ridgeline. So last September we traded our Neon in on the Durango. I had gone to look at Pilots (better MPG) but the best deal I could find was the Durango. Since our purchase, we have averaged 19.0 MPG, driving all over Southern California. We take our Durango everywhere.

We bought our SLT new and I love it to this day! It drives like a sedan, the sound system is great, hemi is very powerful. Sometimes it seems to get confused with the gear switch but no mayor issue. I didn't have any issues with that but the hubby did. It did have one major issue with some computer panel. The engine stalled in the middle of drive a couple of times and another time it lost power and started to drive bumpy while a bunch of dashboard lights came on. Of course that happened right after the warranty ran out. Lately we've had a clicking sound in the motor (not always) that turns off after a while. I hope it's not a new trend with all the little fix it's. It's only got 50,000 miles

Stay away from Dodge service if possible, lots of local mechanics have the computer diagnostic available. No issue as of yet, just loving it. This has been the best SUV I've ever driven (and I've driven Land Cruisers, Montero Sport, Montero, Murano, CR-Vs, Rav4s, Ford Explorers.) It's so quiet, pretty solid, pretty good off-road, all though I haven't been able to get more than 12 MPG in the city, I still recommend this vehicle for everyone looking for an spacious car for the family and pretty good on long trips.

I recently bought my Durango used. I am single and don't actually need this vehicle but I have since found it so useful! It tows my 6000 pound car trailer with ease, even with 3.55 gears in my Hemi. Power is great and is always available, I average about 13/18 but if I want to take it easy I can easily get 21-22 MPG on the highway. I only wish the 2nd row had more legroom but the 3rd row easily has the Tahoe beat for overall comfort and space. Overall this vehicle was an excellent buy! It looks great, drives great and has just about every feature I could want! At 101K miles it still feels like brand new! I highly Recommend this car! Dont buy any other till you atleast test drive this car!

This is the second Durango I have owned and I would definitely buy another. I recently just had the first mechanical problem I've had with either. The power steering got metal shavings in it which broke the pump and had to be replaced. Because I purchased an extended warranty that covered the pump it cost me $300. I have had many cars and this is by far the most comfortable. The stereo is nice, the heated and power seats are great, and there is plenty of room for my entire family. The powerful engine is nice too, but I wish it got better gas mileage. It's not much worse then the 04 Pilot I owned, however.

We love the power and steel that protects us and moves our wounderful Durango limited. The kids love the great sounding DVD and we love them loving it. The comfort and style are great. The sure footed feeling in all conditions make it fun to drive year round. The gas MPG are not bad at all for what you get in return. We see 21- 22 hwy at 65-70 MPH and 19.5-21 MPG at 73-78 MPH. add in town and we average about 16.5 MPG. The only real change would be adding the lift gate rear window to unlatch for loading small item. We like it better than the Tahoe/yukon. 7/8 the size and much more fun to drive.

Bought The Durango With 19,000 Miles On It, Paid 17,500. We have taken it on a few long trips and have managed to get better than 25 mpg, which isn't that bad.Plenty of room for our family of 5, 3rd row seat is roomy and much easier to use than the ones on Expeditons or Tahoes. Love the interior, very quiet and the gauges are great. We were going to get a Tahoe, but drove this and felt we were getting better bang for our buck. If the price of gas is a worry, I wouldn't recommend it, but if you are looking for something w/ tons of room and a great 4 wheel drive system, I don't think you could go wrong with one of these.

I was raised with practicality in mind when it comes to vehicles- ignore brand loyalty, just buy the best option available. The Dodge is very reasonably priced for the vehicle you get. Make sure your dealership has great customer service ratings though- our engine made a ticking noise before warming up after 2 years. Dealership told us 'all Durangos do that. It took us threatening to tell media of problem for them to agree to look into issue again. Exhaust manifold had warped because of impurities in metal. Fixed that problem- after another service, was making rattling noise- dealership hadn't completely tightened part. The vehicles has been perfect, it's the cust service w/ problem.

I had a 2002 Durango and swore I'd never own one again, but after riding in the 2004 I changed my mind. There is plenty of room and it is a comfortable ride. I didn't get the hemi because I wanted better gas mileage. I haven't had any complaints about power and I've go 19 mpg on the highway. Mileage around town is usually 15 mpg.

I'll buy another one!

I have had my Durango for just about 4 years now and I am getting ready to trade it for a crossover. My Durango has been very dependable and gave us lots of room for the kids plus. My only complaint is the limited visability on the left side of the front windshield die to a bulky frame. As with all large SUV's, the Durango get terrible gas milage. I have always consistently averaged 13 mpg. But overall I have loved the truck. If you need the space of a large SUV it's a great choice.

I had a 2000 Durango and I traded it in due to mechanical problems. I purchased my 2004 Durango. The check engine light has come on 3 times in the past two years and each time it comes on, it costs me more than $200 to fix it. I drove a Ford Expedition for 5 years and never had a single problem with it. I think I am switching back to Ford for reliability

Though not perfect in any single category, this is a very good SUV. I have not had one single mechanical issue with this vehicle. I do all service work myself according to the book, which I am hoping will save money in the long haul. Performance with the 4.7L V8 is good, I occasionally tow a utility trailer with various loads and it still performs admirably. Long grades at 70 MPH fully loaded are no problem. Braking is excellent for a large SUV; both in feel and in braking distance. The bumpers fore and aft are thin plastic, not adequate. They are painted on the SLT and higher trim levels, which leads to very visible road rash from debris.

My 3-year lease on my 2004 Durango SLT 4WD 4.7L will end in a couple of months. I am very happy I got this car because it is comfortable, performs good and is fun to drive. It was also very reliable - I only had one problem with a unit responsible for the reverse light which was replaced under warranty within an hour. The only problem this car has is that it is very thirsty, but I knew that when I bought it and it is quite expected from a V8 4.7 engine.

This SUV has been a good ride thus far. We had owned three Jeep Grand Cherokees prior. The Durango is much more comfortable, and smoother. Gas mileage is not as good though. Only gripe is a plastic seat belt cover on driver's side. It has broken off three times. I also know it's still a problem on '05 and '06 models

We test drove every vehicle in this size group and larger. We kept coming back to the Durango because we loved the feel of the ride, power of the Hemi, and comfort of the interior. In our opinion, this vehicle was far superior to Ford and Chevy. Affordability was not an issue, even though the pricing on the Durango was incredible! We now have 60,000 miles on the vehicle with virtually no problems other than "brake" issues. They have been replaced twice already.

We have driven from Indiana to the Florida Keys 3 times and to Texas twice. The highway ride is smooth and comfortable. Gas mileage can be as expected, but the power on the highway is really nice! The only problem we ever had was an oxygen sensor, but that was replaced under warranty. We now have just over 53,000 miles on the Durango. Runs so quiet at idle I have to check rpm to know it is actually running. We change oil every 3000 miles and rotate tires every 6000 miles along with any other services shown in the service handbook.

When my family bought the new Dodge Durango we knew we made the right choice. The Hemi engine and the aggressive styling are definite pluses. The only area of concern for our family in downsizing was the passenger room. In our Durango we have the two-seater third row and it is the most spacious and comfortable third row that we have seen in comparing vehicles, moreso even than that of the Ford Expedition (2004), Chevrolet Tahoe, Nissan Armada, Toyota Sequoya, or even the Chevrolet Suburban. The only drawback that we came across was that when we pile six of us into the car for a road trip there is no room for our bags. So on every long trip we had to put a cargo carrier on the top and back.

The A-frame on the Durango is horribly placed. It causes a huge blind spot for the driver. They say it is for better stability during a rollover accident, which you will definitely need because you can't see where you're driving! It is also an extremely tight fit for carseats. If it will be placed behind either of the front seats, you will need to pull that seat very far forward to make it fit (which doesn't make for an easy ride up front.) Not a problem unless you have 2 kids in carseats! My Durango depriciated $25,000 in 2 years! Never again will I buy one of these and I am making sure everyone I know hears about it.

I bought an '04 new w/ Hemi and for the most part love it. Engine is great, options are great, but be warned... the blind spots are large. What is really bad are the ones created by the front pillars. Use caution when turning corners, you will not be able to see. Nothing worse than having to lean forward when you make a left hand turn just so you can see. Like it but won't buy another.

Wife and I love our Durango Limited in Dodge Red. Smooth ride and great power with the Hemi. With our daughter safety was important, so opted for the rear side curtain airbags. Gas mileage is better than our 96 Trooper...and with waaay more pick up. After driving it on occasional trips to the in-laws and on weekends, I'm disappointed to go back to my '03 Corolla for my commute to work! This is our first Dodge...and it won't be our last, as I am seriously looking at the '06 Charger. Have had to take it in to dealer twice for check engine light. Room is perfect for this size vehicle. Horrendous squealing problem with original brakes. Replaced with thermal brakes and sqealing is just about all gone. More options are required for this $30k plus vehicle to compete at same level as competition. Better interior is needed for base and middle trim packages.

This is the best SUV I've ever had the pleasure of Driving! It rides as smooth as any luxury car. Has HEMI power and 4x4. Traction control with ESP and 4 wheel ABS will take this Car anywhere. I took it into a snow storm last year. 18" in 12 hrs. No chains. I could plow right on through where I saw Explorers, Suburbans, 4 Runners spining their wheels. I even pulled out a Suburban 4x4 who had chains on and was stuck up to his axles in snow. I pulled up behind him in the same depth of snow. Stuck it in reverse. And with a little Hemi power, out he came. He was amazed! And ready to trade in his Chevy. The Ford owners also watched in amazement. I love this car!

Much easier in the parking lots as well. Interior is so functional as well. Needed the extra room of the Suburban for the 5 kids and there is no-way we would have a minivan. My only hope is to warn others to look closely at this vehicle before purchasing. Two weeks after I brought it home, the electrical system burned out. After that, it was recalled for a sticking throttle. Following that, it developed a water leak which eventually led to moldy carpet padding. It took my dealer nearly 6 months to track it down. The transmission has been in for repairs 7 times! It's still not right! Unfortunetly, I was unable to invoke the lemon law on this one becuase I waived my rights as I bought it as a true employee purchase (through my father).

First, let me tell you that I have test driven over 10 different vehicles within 2 yrs time and our Durango was hands down the best! When you have a family you need a vehicle that offers versatility- speed, comfort, handling and safety. That is what the Durango gives you, I have the Hemi(of course)and its the Ltd. We also own a 99 Mercedes CLK430, so we know plush and you can definitely see where Mercedes have their input on making a Dodge. There is plenty of leg room, we have the DVD system and my kids love that, all of the controls are easy to use. Let me put it this way-If you're lucky enough to own a Durango then you're lucky enough!! If you get one, you won't be dissapointed.

The truck has been back to the dealer 5 times for the brakes. They have replaced the front rotors twice, but re-surfaced (worthless) them the other 3 times. Every time they treat me like I've been abusing the brakes, and they're doing me a favor by fixing them again. I've called DC's 800 number, and they're worthless, referring me back to the dealer. For the record, I've never even made a panic stop with the truck. I try to "baby" the brakes at all times. For the record, I'm a Kenworth owner/operator, pulling very heavy loads daily, and know more than the average driver about "saving brakes". I'll never own another Chrysler product. This is the 2nd time I've been burned by them.

I purchased this 2004 Dodge Durango SLT with the 4.7 and only 20000 miles on it. I wanted a nice SUV but didn't want to give one of my legs to get one. I looked at Dodge dealers for a newer Durango but the 2004 models were $22,000 and up?? I bought mine for a unreal price of $16,995. NO JOKE! Nothing wrong with it a one owner. It was at a Toyota dealer so I got it cheap. I love the BUFF style and the HUGE appearance. I was worried about the gas mileage but towing a car dolly and a 2004 Pontiac Vibe I got 16MPG. Impressed. I have owned 120 cars (seriously) in 32 years of my life and this is one of my favorites. A great deal and reliable enough to pass on to my 10 year old son.

Immediately, we had the air conditioning compressor replaced hoping to correct the horribly rough idle(it still idles rough today)The spark plugs were corroded & incorrectly gapped The driver's seat mechanism was replaced, the tire rim replaced for air leakage, rear differential leak, the transmission is now leaking for the 5th time overqualifying us for the buy back, an undiagnosed check engine light,a bolt under the front bumper unscrewed itself thru the bumper TWICE,there's now a grinding noise in the rear. There's more but no room.

I traded in my 2000 Durango, which I was very pleased with, after test driving the 2004. Dodge has dramatically improved the ride quality, handling and braking. Although it may appear insignificant to some, entry into the third row seat is much easier. On my first camping trip, fully loaded with gear and 4 passengers, I averaged over 20 miles per gallon at a steady 74mph. Not bad for a vehicle of this size. City mileage is consistent with EPA estimates. Since it's new, it's hard to gauge reliablity. I rated it high as I did not stick a cent into the 2000 vehicle that was worked hard.

Nice styling, comfortable seating. Large, with a good turning radius. V8, 239 cid has good power with 235 horsepower and a strong and smooth shifter. Nice metallic color offerred by Dodge. Caddys watch out, the Hemi's getting bigger every year. Quality craftsmanship with a long dealer warranty. These SUV's will be the best overall, if not already, soon.

Did you expect 25 mpg???

Wonderful vehicle with more than enough power (Is that possible?), room, and comfort. I hear and read a lot of complaints about mpg. When you bought a 335 hp V8 with the word HEMI, did you expect 25 mpg? I average between 12 to 14 with most of my driving in urban areas. The vehicle is smooth riding, and rides much nicer than any Chevy I've owned in the past. For its size moving around in tight spaces is easy, thanks to the sharp turning radius. Would recommend getting the back up sensors do to poor rear visibility. If you're looking for something bigger than an Explorer or Trailblazer, but smaller than the Expedition and Tahoe...This is your vehicle!

I have been disappointed with my 2004 Durango which I bought after an excellent experience with a 2000 Durango, which I traded in. Although the passenger comfort is much better the model seems to have big problems. I needed a front differential replaced at 7000 miles and just had the battery cable recall work done, as the car was intermittently not starting. Shame that the utterly reliable old Durango has lost so much quality in being "upgraded". I'm trying to get the dealer to buy it back from me and give me my old 2000 back!

Handles very well, 22 mpg hwy Hemi with 3:55 Rear Axle, 16mpg in town. Tows my 6000 Boat with no effort, the Tow Mode is great. Just towed back from VA a 6X12 Uhaul about 3500 lbs 16 MPG and no effort. Just a great vehicle, too bad most Dodge Dealers are so in the 80's. I think they pass out 5 star ratings to anyone.

Had issues with the running boards being faded at delivery and exhaust made a bad vibration. Both were listed as issues and the dealer ordered parts and corrected to my satisfaction immediately. Other than that, the Hemi has enough power and the styling along with a wonderful sound system make the vehicle a joy to drive.

I owned a 2001 Durango SLT Plus and it worked and towed very well, especially with the 411 gears. I traded it in at 60,000 miles and purchased a 2004 Durango Limited. This vehicle is far superior to the 2001 model as far as comfort, towing, gas mileage (even with the hemi), and options now available. Mercedes certainly has has a positive impact upon these vehicles. If you are looking for an SUV, pick the Durango, as I have had other makes, and they did not compare to this vehicle. In addition, the Dealer gave me an exceptional price, and I was able to get more for the buck with rebates. Good Luck and enjoy the four wheeling experience in this vehicle.

I couldn't be more pleased with the Durango LTD 2WD, unless one could figure how to squeeze a few more MPGs out of it. It rides like a dream on the road. The Hemi gives it extreme power. The infinity sound system is awesome. I also love the roominess & it's a great tailgating vehicle.

My wife and I had to buy a big SUV. We needed the size and safety for our 2 girls. We chose the 2004 Durango for the power, comfort, style and the $3,500.00 rebate. Our Durango was the most comfortable vehicle I have ever driven. Well, as luck would have it, one day a passenger noticed air coming through the door jam of the left rear door. A few days later, my wife felt the Durango try to drive away while she was stopped at a red light. Our new SUV was in the shop 6 times within 3 months for the same air conditioning problems . To sum it up: I successfully hired a lawyer to get all my money back under the California Lemon Law.

I test drove several other SUV's but I kept coming back to the re-designed Durango. It was the quietest, most smooth riding, and best handling of all the ones I tried. Not only that but the third row of seats made it possible to comfortably fit all our family in one vehicle. We drove it through the worst ice storm in recent history of Western Oregon last winter. The Durango was sure footed and solid over wind-driven icey interstates and country roads. One final clincer in our choice was Dishamn Dodge in Spokane, WA. There was no hastle, no pressure; just a helpful staff prior to the sale and every time we have been back.

The Durango hemi offers plenty of room and comfort, but falls way short on quality. In 4 months I am now in the process of replacing the radio for the second time, first the display was going blank and now the CD changer is broken. The trim inside looks like it is from a cheap economy car, and there are cosmetic defects everywhere. The tires are awful--these Goodyear Wrangler SR/A have limited dry traction, horrible in the rain, and I expect even with AWD to have to replace them for the winter season. AWD on lousy tires means slide with all 4 tires thats all. Gas mileage is worse than I expected-- awful around town, ok on highway.

This is my first SUV since a 1985 Chev Blazer disaster. (it lived up to its name and caught on fire) I have had several Dodge Ram trucks and have a 2004 regular cab now plus my Durango. This is my first 4 by 4 ever and so far I love it. It is by far the quietiest vehicle I have ever owned (and I have owned probably 45 new ones in my life time). I had a hemi in my Dodge Quad cab I traded in and really wanted a hemi but none were availabe so I settled for the 4.7 and am satisfied with it. . Since I don't tow, the 4.7 engine is more than adequate for this fine machine. It accelarates very well and runs smoothly.

We drove Tahoes,Yukons,Expo's ect...and nothing seemed to work. Then we came across the Durango, right size, right price, and a HEMI!!! Driving it confirmed this was the vehicle for us! We've had it for a month now and it just gets better and better. The Hemi is getting 18MPG on the highway and the ride is awesome! I'm convinced this thing rides better than a Navigator! Did I mention the Hemi, the thing will spin the tires till the traction control kicks in. Tow's my 6000lb boat like nothing!

My CLK 430 was in for service and the dealer gave me an 04 Durango loaner. As a car snob was I mad I could not get a Benz, but after about 10 minutes I really liked it, and it didn't even have a Hemi! After having it all weekend, I found it to be one of the best cars/SUV's I have ever driven. Two weeks later, I traded the Benz in on an 04 Limited (I did have to get the Hemi), and have loved it ever since. Before I bought it, I did test drive all the others, and they could not even come close to this car. The Hemi is a must, but don't test drive a Hemi with plans of getting the smaller engine, because you won't. Ride is great, POWER is the best and comfort could not be better.

This is my first Durango. I drove a 2001 a couple of years ago, and I liked it very much, however, a deal could not be made with the dealership, so I went and bought a used 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Replaced the front and rear differentials as the transfer case in one year. Drove the 2004 Durango, love how it performs (despite the not so great mileage), and needless to say, I'm extremely happy!

I traded in my 2003 dodge durango for the 2004 one. I have had a lot of problems with it since. I had to have the battery replaced already and it only has 5000 miles. The check engine light came on so I took it to the dealership, they say they can't find anything wrong with it. It shakes really bad when idling. The noise level is deafening. It sounds like your in a helicopter with 1 window rolled down driving 60mph. My car shakes when you get up on speed driving down the highway. There is no problem with traveling in this SUV. I do kinda wish that I didn't trade my 2003 durango in, I never had any problems with it. Maybe it will grow on me.

Just bought the Durango Limited with the HEMI: Hooray! I drove a Ford Explorer XLT and a Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo: neither car matches up to this SUV. The older Ford (1999) was bumpy like a truck, no third row seat, but had great storage capacity. The Jeep was so narrow that we could barely fit two full-sized people in the back seat with the child safety seat in the middle. And a tiny trunk area: two golf bags at the most and the clubs only just fit between the wheels. But this Durango? Excellent! The ride is great, the power is awesome, there's a comfortable third row and I can take my most chubby friends and relatives anywhere with the kid's car seat between them! Great SUV!

I am writing this review after clocking my first 1000 miles in my 2004 Durango. This vehicle replaced my 2001 Durango. What an improvement! The new body style is more attractive and stylish. The fit and finish of the exterior and interior is great. The best improvements were in the cabin of the vehicle. Better gauge cluster, layout of dash, comfort of seating, new steering wheel and even the placement of the front and rear air vents and dash-mounted defroster registers. Thrid row seats are easier to fold than older model thanks to pull straps on the seat backs. Getting the seat backs upright is easier too because of this and no more having to climb inside and lift up the bottom cushion.

After thorough research, I ended up purchasing a fully loaded Durango 4X4 Limited listing at over $41,000 and paying under $32,400 excluding taxes. The vehicle looks great, rides better than my Lexus car, accelerates well and the 335 hp Hemi engine cannot be beat. Interior styling and ride are better than any GM vehicle today including the Tahoe and Surburban. The Ford Expedition is dated and too big. GMC's Denali interior is cheap looking and the Toyota 4Runner was an additional $5,000 for only a 5 passenger vehicle. Mercedes Benz has done wonders to the ride comfort and quality of the Dodge line of trucks. My hat is off to them, a former Ford man from Dallas.....

This is my third Durango…after 80K in a ‘99 SLT Plus (5.9L) and 30K in a ‘03 R/T (5.9L). After one month, I have 2K in this HEMI Limited. Adding 20-inch chrome rims (after market) makes a big difference in style. I am still amazed at the rapid acceleration coming off a ramp to enter the expressway or passing traffic. Can effortlessly cruise 75+ mph with good control, low noise, and still comfortable ride. I was surprised to see almost an extra 2 mpg with the 5.7L HEMI (avg 14 mpg) over my previous ’03 R/T 5.9L (avg 12.5 mpg). Gas tank is bigger, so I can go almost an extra 30 or 40 miles before refill. New Durango = best choice for performance and looks.

Lots of utility and comfort for low price, $9,000 LESS THAN my 2003 Ford Expedition Eddie Bauer, and I received "friends and family" pricing on both. How does DCX do it? HEMI gas mileage on freeway was 19+ mpg @ 75 mph, after break in. Unique styling doesn't do much for us, but more people ask about liking the Durango than they ever did about the Expedition. Ride quality is much more compliant and smoother than old Durango, very "German" in character. I've owned the BMW X5 4.4 sport and a Mercedes ML320 and find the Durango Limited to be up to par with these vehicles; the Durango cost $24,000 less than my 2000 X5. Not as roomy as the Expedition.

The 2004 model year is much larger than the older models and rides much smoother. The older model would get a little squirly on dirt roads. The large V-8 Hemi has loads of power, and can tow most anything the average pereson would wish to tow.

If like me, you own/owned the well- known Durango body style, the new ones take some getting used to. Once you get over the new body style, you'll be happy with the modifications...notwithstanding the MPG. I found the new model is better overall: good interior design, easy handling, great ride (you float) and fantastic sound system! I'm only 5'3" and love being able to look down at people on the road! Like the longer wheel-base. Watch your speed, if it feels like 40, you're probably doing 60. Although I was initially reluctant, I'm happy I stayed with the Durango. Thanks Anthony Ester at Covington Pike Dodge, you're an asset! Before you rule the Durango out, take the test drive

To pull the camper and better handle the WI winters, I switched from Gr Caravan to Durango. Great decision. HEMI power unbelievable and the ride is a dream. Seats are soooo comfortable! Hwy mileage better than I expected - averaged over 20 mpg on long trip (no towing), but get appx 15 in town. Comfortable and easy to maneuver - too easy to speed! Split 3rd row allows room for gear. Not as much storage space as the minivan, but I'd trade it all for the feel of the SUV. Haven't gotten to winter yet, but am sure the 4WD, traction control, and heated seats will be wonderful. Bring it on!

This is the smoothest riding truck you will ever drive. Feels like you are floating. Excellent cargo space, drivers seat is high up so you can see everything. Love the new design (Which I did not like at first, you grow to love it quick). Strong V8 engine. Fuel effeciency seems a little low. Its a beast of a truck.

This is my first SUV and I love it. Sorry I waited so long to buy one. It handles great and my wife loves it. The ride is so smooth and the engine (HEMI) is so responsive. It is so quick I have to be careful not to accelerate to fast. When I first drove it it scared me!! What a great SUV! I cannot say enough about it and everybody loves the way it looks. I almost bought a RAM 1500 Laramie. Boy am I glad I bought the Durango.

MY WIFE AND I TRADED A 2000 DURANGO ON A NEW 2004 DURANGO. WHAT A DIFFERENCE 4 YEARS OF ENGINEERING CAN MAKE! THE DRIVER AND PASSENGER SEATS HAVE THE BEST HEADRESTS ON THE MARKET.SECOND ROW SEATS RECLINE FOR THOSE LONG TRIPS.THIRD ROW IS STILL COMFORTABLE FOR MOST ADULTS.THE 8 SPEAKER SUROUND SOUND SYSTEM IS AWSOME! AND IF YOU HAVE KIDS YOU MUST HAVE THE OVERHEAD DVD PLAYER WITH THE WIRELESS HEADSETS.YOU WILL NEVER HERE "ARE WE THERE YET" AGAIN! YOU CAN TAKE THAT TO THE BANK!

I bought the Molten Red Durango Limited with the Hemi. It is extremely well made and welld esigned. Very powerful engine, fun to drive. The fuel economy around town is about 13.5 mpg; on the highway it is 19-20 mpg. I have only one complaint. the front seats are too narrow and I get a cramp in my legs on long trips. (I'm 6'2" and only a little overweight) The seats need to be about two inches wider; there is plenty of room to do this. Other than that, the fit and finish is excellent; quality is much better than I expected. (this is my first Dodge)

My new Durango is the fastest suv that i've ever drove. THe hemi motor just gives it the power like no other. The ride is smooth, the turning radius is great and the added size is exactly what this suv needed. The 50/50 split thrid-row seat is great and allows for more passengers or cargo. The heated seats, dvd, six disc in-dash changer is the ultimate package. Also, the tow package is everything a truck lover wants. The new exterior design was great for the survival of this suv.

This is the second high(er) end SUV I have owned, the first being a 1990 Ford Bronco (Eddie Bauer Edition). This is by far the nicest vehicle I have ever owned, it is incredibly smooth, considering the GVWR and 4WD. It is truly a joy to drive, great feel, very responsive, plenty of horsepower (and even a tight turning radius for it's size). We highly recommend this vehicle for anyone looking at SUV's.

Having owned a '00 SLT and a '02 SLT Plus I was anxious to try out the newly designed '04 Durango. I purchased a Deep Molten Red Limited with the 4.7 and although I just passed the 1000 mile mark, I am very happy with the ride, handling and overall performance. The interior seems like it could use a little more trim to dress it up. I really like the design and function of the dash air vents but there is an over abundance of uninterupted gray plastic.

This is my third Durango. Love it for comfort, but it does not have enough storage for stuff you need to keep in the vehicle. Glove box is tiny. Storage hole is tiny. Only one behind seat pocket and it does not expand. In the door pockets are much smaller than older models, can barely get your hand in it much less stuff. Gas mileage is poor.

I have had it for less then 60days and have 9,300 miles on it.I love the ride and so does my wife and three kids.My first business trip was 2800 miles and I averaged 18.3MPG.Using high test gas I can get 20+MPG on the HWY. I get 14-16 around town. The 6 Disc changer is great for long drives.I read a lot about the Durango before my purchase and they all stated that the HEMI was worth the extra money and I must agree! The split 3rd row seat is also a must, it is much larger then the bench.

The new 04 durango really impressed us with comfort, power (even with the 4.7 V8)! great interior room, dealers were great to work with, and the pricing came in significantly under even the smaller explorer and Trailblazer. Better warrentee, just pleased overall with the vehicle.

I was hesitant about getting this massive SUV to begin with but we bought it as my husband was determined to have the HEMI. I'm only 5'3" and can barely climb into it but for once, in 23 years of marriage, I have to say he was right! I absolutly love it! I love driving it, I love the way it looks, I love all of the room. I've had a million people stop and want to see it or ask about it. We took a trip to the beach 4 days after we got it and it rode like we were floating on air! I've always loved a Dodge but this time, they have out done themselves! Thanks Dodge for giving me "One BAD ride"!

During a quick trip from the east coast to Minneapolis I averaged slightly better than 21-MPG! (Trip computer calculated 21.8 and I calculated 21.4) I set my cruise control and left it which IÂ’m sure helped

Have had mine for over 3 weeks now and am very happy with it - got the 5.7L Hemi. Does anyone else notice a squeaking sound coming from the transmission housing under the vehicle when idling? The salesmam suggested that this was a typical engine noise and would go away after break-in. Well, after 1,000 miles, it's still there. There is discussion on this at www.dodgetalk.com. Other than this noise, I love the exterior design - looks tough. Interior is laid out well and very user friendly. Wish that there was a flat cargo area when all seats are down.

I have plenty of hauling capacity, I carry at least 2 to 5 children around and have plenty of room to go still. We chose the 3 rows of seating for the room to carry all that we want. Would recommend to any parent of children.

Traded our 1998 for the 2004. Ride is much improved and so is the mileage. Did not get the HEMI and am still satisfied with engine performance. Enjoy the 6 disc CD player and love those leather seats. AWD is a nice feature too. Although I have the 4WD option I have no intention of taking this thing off road. Too nice and too pretty. I'll save the off roading for for my Jeep or ATV's. Will use 4wd to get out of the steep driveway in the winter. Power doesn't pop you head back in passing gear but it still has plenty. Got the tow package and it tows my ATV's just fine. So far so good. The styling is growing on me and the graphite grey looks sharp.

We looked long and hard at the Durnageo, Expedition, and Pilot. The Tahoe wasn't even in the picture. In the end, the Durango had more room and power than the Pilot and was actually less money. The Expedition was bigger and had dual temp control, and a keyless touchpad. The biggest advantage it had was that it seated eight. The Durango had a much better engine-HEMI! It also was quieter and handled better. In the end, it was $5500 less than the Ford which is why we bought the Durango. We have less than a thousand miles on it, but it is getting 16 MPG with almost all of it on the highway. Better mileage than people are getting with the Expedition.

Have owned this Durango for 6 months; been in the shop 5 times for warranty issues. The electrical system is not put together well. Like others, radio has gone out 3 times, lights flicker on/off inside, headlights went out twice at night while on freeway, A/C blows HOT off/on during summer,wind- shield wipers malfunctioned during storm, occasional pause during acceleration on freeway, bad dealership support (always same answer, "bring it back when it's doing it"). Cannot recommend this vehicle until electrical system is fixed or installed better. Also, low on head room in the front. Chrysler no help!

I've got the Hemi - even though Edmunds does NOT have this as an option...the 2004 Tahoe would have been $8000 more with less power, convenience and OLD sluggish styling...The Durango does need more storage ability (pockets, etc.) and the third seat should come split with the ability to remove...all that said - I really (!!) like this SUV...

This new Durango surprized me in many ways. I owned a 2000 SLT and this one is light years ahead of it as far as fit and finish, refinement, comfort, quietness, and rear-seat comfort. The exterior still is taking me a while to warm up to, but the interior is magnificent. It drives so quietly and smoothly, it's hard to believe i'm driving a 5000+ pound vehicle. The stereo is the best i've heard coming from the factory and I love the new head unit. I've got the 4.7L and it's a great enging (once again, very quiet and refined). I had an '03 Ram with the Hemi and that's a great engine. If towing is needed, then definetly go with the Hemi.

I've had my Hemi Durango for a month, and love it. Fun to drive, quiet, comfortable, looks great, refined, good stereo system, and it goes. (Be careful, you are probably going 80 when you think you are going 60.) Compared to competing vehicles, I think the Durango is a steal. I feel a bit smug driving it around and I have to admit I enjoy "looking down" on all those little, teeny, tiny BMWs, Mercedes, Lexi, and Acuras.

This is one of the worst vehicles I have owned. You cannot open the windows with other people in the car, it feels like your head is going to explode. Sometimes it feels and sounds like a helicopter is hovering you. If you are by yourself you cannot have more than 1 window open because it's the same thing and for $36000. I expect a little more from a car and also this problem has been going on for at least 5 years from the reviews I've read while researching this. Shame on Dodge this is inexcusable.

They should have left the old style alone. This is not a Durango....It is your grandma's car. FIND ANOTHER NAME FOR IT !

CAN'T COMPLAIN ABOUT THE FUEL ECONOMY. BOUGHT MAINLY TO TOW MY WIFE'S CRV SO GOT THE TOWING PACKAGE. WILL HAVE TO WAIT TO SEE HOW THIS WORKS OUT. Went to the dealer last week just to drive one (not intending to buy) and left with it. Got a great deal on a great vehicle with almost all of the bells and whistles. I've owned two Suburbans, an Expedition and a Grand Cherokee. This is the best riding, best handling and braking, and best performing SUV I've ever driven or ridden in. The 5.7L Hemi is definitely worth the money! As my wife said while driving it home, "It feels like something's pushing it." She's in love with it. It is a very, very refined vehicle that just doesn't seem like an SUV; fit and finish are top-notch and it is very quiet. Highly recommend installation of a K&N air filter if you buy one.

Great deal on my Durango, calld 4 dealers in evening, told them would buy next 3 days, told them what I wanted, three had suv, negot'd on phne so all agreed to invoice, then another $4,500 rebate off invoice.Bought SLT, hemi, leather, moonroof, 6 cd, red, dvd entmnt system(aft/mkt, 10in scren but in final $28,315 pr incl txs)bought next day after visit the 3 dealrs, finced thru Chysler, ref'd for 3.9% yestday on special promo thru USAA bank exp 6/5. FYI, one dealr, Breedan, Ft. Smith, who agreed to invoice on phone tried to pad profit by saying aft/mkt leather cost $1500 instead of $624 invce listed on internet, walked off lot.

This is one fun suv to own. Built tough looks tough and rides like a car. Gas milage not that bad averaged 20mpg on first long trip and its not broken in yet. A pleasure to drive, big yet handles like a smaller SUV. Its quiet and smooth on highway and handles well on small roads. If your looking for an SUV you have to drive this before buying anything else. Simply better than anything in its class and with present rebates a real bargin.

I have owned Chevy,Ford and Jeep suv's but the Dodge Durango is by far the best! The ride is smooth and comfortable. Handles great! It feels like your gliding going up hills. Powerful engine even without getting the hemi. Takes the bumps in the road extremely well. So far the mileage is better than the Jeep I had which was only a 6 cylinder. I would highly recommend this vehicle if your looking to buy a new suv.

Even though we have only owned this vehicle for a month I love it more every time I drive it. Based on my limited time with it I feel the Dodge Engineers really did their homework. The ride is superb and the Hemi power is great. Usually by now I have found something about a new vehicle that I don't like or that bugs me but I can honestly say that so far I like everything about it. ( except the fuel mileage, but hey you don't get this kind of power with great mileage. ) Dodge has hit a homerun with this one in my opinion.

Put 220 miles on it the first day! This vehicle is a blast to drive, and very smooth and quiet on the inside. The one I purchased had the power sunroof, the level II Infinity Sound System (6disk in Dash, 384Watts with subwoofer), and the Hemi as it's major highlights. No aspect of this truck dissappoints. Gas mileage is great for this size vehicle and the Hemi option. Going from the dealer back to work, I was getting an average of 20 MPG (@ 80 mph). With in town driving, it shows 17 MPG. Pretty good for a full size SUV with a 3.92 gear ratio and tow rating of 8900 lbs!

I just picked up my new Durango Ltd AWD with the works. (5.7, AWD, 3.92 rear end, LTD package, sunroof, DVD, heated seats, etc.) I was not impressed with the paint job. The finish had some contamination under the paint and you could see this when the light is not directly shining on the vehicle. Seems to be limited to one side. Also not impressed with the seat hinge for the 2nd row seat as it protrudes out far enough to scrape your lower back as you enter/exit the rear seat. Of course I knew the gas mileage would be bad with the hemi.

Dodge has done something with this 4wd that I just cannot understand-All this money poured into the new design and an underbody skid plate that is lower than anything under the vehicle and FLAT! READ- It acts as a shovel- not turned up in the forward portion and only about 6 inches off the ground-UNBELIEVABLE! Don't think about taking this thing off road- you will high-center in a second on even the slightest rutted roads!

I chose the 5.7L Hemi and would definitely recommend spending the extra $895 for it, no matter what trim level you choose. I'm actually getting better gas mileage in this Durango Hemi than I was with my 4.7L V8 in my old Dodge Dakota Quad Cab.

Basically, a great SUV and in my opinion the best. The biggest problem is the gas. I have the 5.7 Hemi and it's nothing like the old 96 Dodge Grand Caravan I had when it comes to gas milage. Mine is brand new, so maybe after 3000 miles it might help the gas ... but I'm not getting my hopes up. If you don't mind spending a little extra on the gas (or if you own land in Saudi Arabia) THEN GO FOR THIS SUV!!!

My wife and I ordered our durango, because we wanted options that did not seem to be very popular. Such as: Side air bags, the 28g package, tow group, and HEMI. The special order took 4 weeks to the day to arrive at the dealership. I enjoyed the test drives, but really love it now. The cornering, turning radius and power exceed anything else I test drove. The Hemi, is awesome, it maybe too much power for some, however if you enjoy tapping the pedel and being up to speed on the highway, then i highly reccomend the HEMI, if you have no need to do alot of towing or enjoy the power the regular 4.7 v8 gives, i suggest get it instead (it will save some on gas).

A lesson learned, never buy a redesign vehicle within its first year of production. It has not even been 30 days of ownership and the vehicle has been in the shop three times. First, the radio went out, then it had electrical failure twice. Lets not talk about the gas, I purchased one with the Hemi @ 14MPG(sticker indicates)or more like 10MPG. Don't drive around town with a/c, you will need to refill. I will not have this one for long, I am going back to Chevy/GMC.

I had a 2000 Durango prior to this ans I am very pleased with the changes. The ride is very quiet and comfortable. A lot of the features make it very convenient. Split seating in the third row is a great option, car is much roomier than the previous model. I looked at a lot of different SUV's for about a year, the feature to price ratio is by far the best in the Durango. Got the Big engine as well. Yeah, its got a HEMI. Be careful, you'll be going 85 before you know it and it feels like 50, engine feels like it is idling at that speed. Very Quiet. I think Dodge has a winner, by far the biggest bang for your buck in the new SUV market.

During the second week of ownership, I dealt with chugging and bucking of the truck and the engine light coming on. The dealership pulled out the spark plugs and found the plug ends outside of the engine to be coated with rust and the "gap" area of the plugs, in the engine, showed burn marks and other evidence of a "high temperature" condition. According to an engineer in Detroit, my Durango needs a "water management shield" that they are in the process of developing to keep water away from the top of the engine. So, I like my new vehicle, but wish I had a HEMI...

Never considered a Dodge(bad experience with a '92 Dodge)till I did a lot of reading and decided to give them a second chance. Very comfortable and very easy to drive. Suprisingly quiet. Running boards a must.I gave fuel economy a 7 b/c my former car,a modified '99 Mustang, averaged about 17- MPG. Durango doesn't represent a big change. Only got 157mi so far, but the avg. fuel economy says 14MPG. Should get slightly better in time. I gave 10's on build quality & reliability, but these are still pending. Ratings not accurate till I get more drive time & miles behind it. For now, they'll get a 10.I plan on giving periodic updates.

Durango Limited Hemi is perfect blend of luxury and toughness. My wife and I drove everything in this class and the mid-size class. This was perfect size for us...not too big and not too small. We were replacing a 5-series BMW, so I was planning on a more painful transition. But we have about 6,500 miles on it now, and I have no regrets. In my opinion the Durango is better than the Expedition (nice interior but underpowered) or the Tahoe (nice power but dull interior), and the European and Japanese offerings just didn't cut it.

I purchased a 2004 SLT 2 wheel drive 4.7 liter. I have only had it for 3 days, BUT I LOVE IT. I had a 98 Ram quad cab pick up that I trade in and got a GREAT DEAL on my new Durango. The only thing I am not crazy about is the lack of storage in the drivers area. The glove compartment is small, andso is the center storage area. I love the 4.7 liter. It will get up and run. I have not had it on a extended road trip yet, but I have had it on the HWY and was very impressed with, everything about it.

We've owned a 2000, & 2002. We have a 2003 & 2004. The difference between the 2003 & 2004 is night & day. The 2004 not only is beautifully designed, it rides great. We take my softball to indoor off season practice every Saturday. The experienced players ride in the 2004 and someone always has a DVD to watch. Poor rookies, they have to ride in the 2003.

We purchased the "Hemi" with all the features except the "navigator" system installed. And, so far, have not been able to purchase. That is really our only complaint; and we were told by the dealer it would be several more months before it would be available, and since our reason for the purchase was for travel, we would like to hear when it is available.

I had a 1998 Dodge Durango and it was the best truck I ever had. It was a very tough reliable truck that took the worst of abuse and recently due to inclimate weather I ended up sliding off the road into a drainage ditch. It was a very shocking depressing day. As for your new 2004 Durango I think that Dodge should be ashamed to call this vehicle a Durango. You went and changed the body style completly which you now have a so called Durango that looks just like a Caravan. I am very upset to see my best friend twisted like that.

Getting over 16 ave. gpm in mixed driving over first 1000 mi. I have the 5.7 Hemi which just wants to GO. It just plain takes off when you mash the gas, but kind of feels like it is in idle driving around town. The engine runs best up in the 65-75 range. Third row seat is spacious, but second row could be a bit roomier. Love the new look and the power. Make no mistake, this vehicle is still long on utility and a bit short on comfort items unless you put up the bucks for the Limited version.

Great SUV. Very happy with the re- design and new look. Have the HEMI motor and couldn't be happier with the power it provides. Gas mileage is dismal but I knew that going into it. I probably avg. around 12mpg city. But I wouldn't even consider the other v-8 or the V-6. HEMI or nothing. I also got the 3.93 axle ratio over the 3.53 Probably doesn't make a huge difference but I know the 3.93 is alittle quicker off the line. Great torque. Nice creature comforts inside. Leather, CD Changer, Heated seats, traction control, sunroof, 380 watt stereo.

We where after a vihicle that had some style room and drove like a car and not a truck. The power handling and performance of the vehicle was evident after the first test drive. We love the interior design as it is not cluttered and offer somewhat of a European look that is clean and egornomic.

Heated seats, DVD rear passenger entertainment system, 1 touch memory for pedal control, seat position, mirror positions, radio, and temp. control were adored by my wife. Fun to drive, good looking, TONS of features. We drove escalade, navigator, expedition, and DURANGO. Got ALL of the killer features in the Durango for about 10 to 15 THOUSAND less!! and by the way, did I tell you it has a 5.7 v8 HEMI!

I test drove and took home for a trial a Tahoe and Avalanche. I also spent time testing a new Expedition. Then I stopped at the Dodge dealer. The new Durango was by far the best as far as steering, braking, acceleration, and design, both in and out. I purchase the limited 2wd. It also holds more cargo, and has a dvd. All for less than Tahoe or Expedition.

Having traded a 2001 Durango for this I see only improvements. The vehicle handles as if it is much smaller than it is and rides considerable better that it earlier verisons. With the Hemi it tows effortlessly, better than any vehicle I have driven. When not towing, from quick starts to high speed passing this vehicle pulls hard and accelerates more better than any other SUV I have been in. As far as cargo space is concerned, it is enormous. You can't miss with this vehicle as long as you have a gas credit card (preferable with rewards for heavy use).

Nice physical design inside and out. Dodge is leading the pack once again. It is the only company that made significant changes to the 04 SUV's. It's larger than the older Durnago model, but smaller than the larger Tahoe's and Denali's. Not to mention about 5-10k less... with leather and a 6 CD/MP3 changer.

I cannot say enough good about my durango! It handles like a car, has a decent quiet ride. The gas mileage doesn't bother me, I was driving an old 4x4 jeep, and itwas the same! My wife and I looked at nine different SUV's before we discovered the new Durango. We would never have considered the earlier design of the Durango as it was too small but when we test drove this one, we fell in love with it. It handles very well, the transmission is smooth and the suspension gives a comfortable ride. We chose the SLT and upgraded to leather with the hot sound system and of course the HEMI. If you are going to buy this vehicle don't waste your time on the 4.7l or the 6 cylinder...you'll be happy that you went with the HEMI.

Hi, I just bought this vehicle yesterday. Driving it home, I find it to be very comfortable, smooth, and a quite ride. It's a base model, however, it comes standard with many features that you would normally have to pay extra for. It has a v6 but it seems to have plenty of power going up a hill.I bought this for my wife to replace a 95 Voager. I'm very happy with it and hoping that my wife will too. It's fun to drive. Is there a manufacturer rebate on this model? We were told that there weren't any.

To say that the '04 Durango is redesigned is an incorrect statement. It is my opinion that they built a brand new vehicle and named it the Durango. The body is wider, longer, taller. The suspension reminds you of a Mercedes. You don't realize that you are driving a 5000lb SUV. The nose is dropped and shorter than the previous years giving you a better view of the road and parking areas. Over the holidays, 4 adults traveled extremely comfortably with the back full of luggage. We have the 5.7l Hemi with the 4x4/AWD and our trip to the mountains of North Carolina and thru the snow was a breeze.

We love the features, power and handling. The ride quality is outstanding and when you are accelerating we can still just barely hear the engine wind up. And we have lots of ROOM!! But is does not drive like a big suv. Its easy to park even though we park out a ways so we do not get any DINGS from inconsiderate drivers.

I recently bought a new Durango from Manhattan Dodge and the second I took it for a test drive i knew that this car was something special. Handling is extremely crisp and accurate, while the braking is also responsive and quick which makes this the perfect city SUV. After getting a chance to drive it on an open highway I was equally impressed with the performance and power. The suspension is the best I have ever seen in an SUV and the combination of power and handling makes it feel like I am driving a car. The cargo room is also extensive. I am looking forward to a lifetime of happiness with my new Dodge.
