I bought my 350Z about 8 months ago with 86,000 miles. I was the 3rd owner of this vehicle and prior owners had maintained and garaged this 350Z all of its life. I looked at about 4 other 350Zs but didn't buy them because I could tell that the vehicles had been driven hard and not maintained well. Finally I found my 350Z and I have loved driving it ever since. I did some preventative maintenance (Transmission service, new tires, flush and change of fluids) and it runs like a champ. I have taken four to eight hour trips to neighboring states and this vehicle is a dream to drive on the open road. For having so much power this vehicle gets good gas mileage. I look for reasons to go shopping or the store just so I pull this little sports car out and drive it. For being 13 years old this car gets lots of looks.

Hello, over the 13 years I've owned this car I would give this car an A. Through regular maintenance, including exterior/interior detailing every 1-2 years, this car has surpassed my expectations. I've added a cold-air K/N intake system and a "cat-back" Borla exhaust system (sounds not too aggressive, but nice) performance-wise. Also, I have Nismo body-kit parts added, i.e., rear spoiler and side skirts. Also, I've installed an after-market hood (Varona) which has stylish vents and a louvre as well as a VIS-racing front-bumper cover. All of the exterior additions add a nice sporty look to the car. Oh, I also have had the emblems and the wheels painted matte-gold which goes very well with the dark maroon color of the car. I'm hesitant to sell the car, but feel I've had enough time with it. On the negative side, there are a few scratches on the exterior paint; the cup holder is plastic and is difficult to push-in (which is why I usually just leave it out); and the map lights need replacement.

Nissan did an amazing job in nearly every aspect of this design. Started from the ground up and built a beautiful car. The 2003 350Z design has not aged and in fact, actually looks better than the newer 370Z. The car was purchased new and garaged day and night. Washed and waxed very frequently. Extremely dependable. Zero problems in thirteen years of ownership. Simply an amazing car. Prior to purchase, I tested the Porsche 911 four times before buying. The Z was nearly equal in performance for less than half the price. Unbelievable!

I've owned my car for over 6 years and purchased it new. It is a true driver's car with emphasis on going fast and doing it well. Practicality and comfort are afterthoughts. The trunk will take a reasonable amount of stuff, as long as you "pour" it around the strut brace. Its handling is very confidence inspiring and the car always eggs me on. It's like it's always taunting me: "You know, you could've taken that turn faster!" I recently replaced the OEM tires with BF Goodrich KDW's. Gas mileage plummeted, but grip is outrageous. The new tires turned my Z from a nice car to a race car. Engine is fantastic: incredibly reliable, predictable, smooth

I bought this car with 86k on it and have not regretted it a single time! I was amazed at the gas mileage (22-25 city, 27-30 hwy) and the power and torque is great. I can run even with modded mustangs and newer turbo bmw's and can smoke most other cars. I've beat pretty hard on the car for about 12k miles now and it's held up to everything without complaint! The only problem I had was with the stock Bose subamp cutting out but there's an easy DIY fix for that which takes about 15 mins. Nissan built this car to last 200k and it's very obvious the quality they put into this car. Just make sure to have a set of snow tires on hand =P

I bought my orange 350s with 107k miles on it, now it has 114k and still running with no problems. A few minor things such as flex pipes for the exhaust and a door seal which the tab broke off need to be fixed. Other than that its a great car, quick, responsive, it corners tight and comfortably, and takes a lot of concentration to keep your foot out of the throttle, its clear this car was built to run on a track.

I bought this car at 28,000 miles. It's sitting currently at 91,000, with no problems or major issues yet and upon my full inspection, nothing building. This car is extremely fast, with the new exhaust I put on it, amongst other engine modifications I've done, is louder than any other Z I've been around. It definitely turns heads! Even though I'm getting ready to sell my Z for a older muscle car, I'll get another one here soon. These cars are reliable as anything and are what they're supposed to be, a raw, fast, no bar's held performance vehicle.

I have been eyeing the 350Z for years and am so glad I made this purchase. I love the feel of the interior, the looks of the exterior, the wide power band, the on-rails handling, and the sound the engine makes when wide open. I realize that there are various problems that will undoubtedly arise so I got an extended warranty and am not too worried. This car gives you confidence and I get looks everywhere I go. I love the ride and even make my daily commute in it. This car gives me a thrill that I can't accurately describe. I'm not sure if I own the car or it owns me.

This is a very nice sport car don't get me wrong. It looks fast, it is fast, it takes off so quick I almost get whiplash everytime. It is a head turner too. But I have never had anything that is this bumpy and the rattles drive me insane. I've had an S2000 and it wasn't this bad, and that thing had a super tight suspension. My Z rattles like it is falling apart, all along the dash, the center console, and if I am talking while driving it sounds like someone is thumping my chest. I have crammed things into seams and cracks to stop them, but it's no use. But man is it fast.

Like other reviewers, I have suffered the same "tire roar" and front end noise that has plagued 350Z owners since the cars inception. After taking the car to Firestone to get my tires replaced recently, the helpful technician, a Vette owner, suggested that I take the car in every 3 months to have this toe-in problem fixed. You can purchase a lifetime alignment from Firestone for a very reasonable price and taking the car in every 3 months or so insures that the wear on the tires will be a bit more normal. Tire wear aside, the car has been a dream and I have enjoyed it thoroughly. As I am getting a bit older now so the utility of a 2-seater is beginning to reach its end for me.

I have nothing bad to say about my Z car. It handles well and is so much fun to drive. I get nothing but compliments from everyone I know and don't know about the looks of the car. The gas mileage is not bad for a sports car either. I get 20 miles to the gallon in town about 25 on the highway. The color is gorgeous too. I have the brickyard color which is kind of a dark plum color. I put an after market spoiler on the back and it is too cute.

This is one tight car. From shifting to cornering the 350Z has a dynamic racing feel. Your wish is it's command. This is a true sports cars sports car. Highway cruising speeds do not do this car justice. It is extremely smooth and deceiving on the open road and equally capable on curved surfaces. The always illuminated gauges are there to inform you about tire pressure, mpg, temp, speed, rpm max, dte, and more. The practicality of the 350Z is not so much. After all this is a true sports car. It has moderate storage compartments behind the seats and the stabilizing bar in the rear hatch area really reduces your cargo space so pack lite. Bottom line:This is a drivers car that won't dissapoint!

I had this car for 3-1/2 years - just sold it today. Loved it for the first two years, but the following bothered me: 1. airbag light kept malfunctioning. 2. front tire problems, which the dealership was supposed to inform me of, but didn't. 3. tires kept losing pressure for no apparent reason (separate from #2). 4. fuel line/filter recall. 5. No Visibility to sides and back of vehicle.

Nothing but problems with the z. Front end problems that nissan didn't repair because they couldn't get the tires to fix the problem.( P.S. dealership sells tires) Air conditioning problems that they temporary fix by recharging the system not stopping the leak. ( they get $90 from me to recharge the system ..nothing if they fix it) Squeaks and flex noises that will drive you insane. And now a fuel hose recall that will need the whole rear end to come off for a fix! Would you take it up to 100 after nissans mechanics got done with it?

This is the first car I bought that allowed me to sell my Ninja 1200 and still have fun on the road. Since no auto could give me the power the Ninja had, I can drive to enjoy the trip. I normally put on 300-400 per day on trips-I am 6'1/195lbs and still very comfortable at the end of the day. Since I don't abuse the throttle, I average 24-25 mpg.

Spectacular! I was a bit reluctant to buy a 350z at first, of course the performance was great, the look spectacular, but what about the no back seats or the harsh ride. well after about a month or so of driving, i had forgetton about what i might be missing and was concentrating on shifting b4 reaching redline, watch ppl disappear in my rear view and listening to the wonderfully tuned v-6 engine along with with awesome cool sounding bose stereo that comes in the touring model. Also this car gets tons of attention, even though they've been out for a while, i still get looks cruising along the coast. people treat it, as if its an exotic.

I have owned my 350 for about 2 years now and it's still as fun to drive now as it was when I first bought it. Super fast, awesome design and lack of them on the road still allows the heads to turn when I drive down the road. Although some of the interior features are a little cheap, I still feel like I'm in a cockpit behind the wheel. The handling is outstanding, but you pay for it with bumps on the road. Have had gliches with the windows, but it was covered on the warrenty. This car isn't just for dudes, my wife drives it all the time. Not much else to say except go see for yourself!

I've had 3 Z's and this is the best. Performance is excellent; handling is as good as a Porsche and driving it is fun. The ride is harsh, but that's the way it is with a true sports car. The rear visibility is poor and the stock tires are terrible in wet or snowy weather, so you have to replace them with quality G/T sports car tires that have a good rating is wet weather. Terrific performance for the money.

This car is an eye-catcher and gets all sorts of inquiries...."How fast have you had it?" being the front- runner. The only problem I've had in the 8 mos. I've owned, the front tire noise. Had it shipped from TX and right off the truck, it sounded like the rotors were grinding gravel and destroying the brakes. Dealer recommended switching the tires from the initial Potenzas to Mich Pilots (like the Infiniti G35 coupe uses) ... presto! ... problem went away and the drive was 10x better. Cost $230/tire plus labor, fortunately Nissan issued a recall and reimbursed me for this issue.

The scrumptious little Z is back with a vengeance. This bad boy comes with a 3.5 v6 287hp (300 standard on 2005 models). The track model is an even better model than the rest for its lightweight forged wheels, vdc, brembo brakes, and underchin spoiler and rear spoiler. With a price of only $34,000 you cannot go wrong. The interior is a little bland but this is a real sports car remember? You bought this car not for the economical use but for the raw power and great suspension. This great coupe has one of the best suspension set ups I've ever encountered. This is the budget man's Japanese porshe in my opinion. But they put in 5-10 grand and it is just as fast or even faster than a porsche.

Bought it on Edmunds rec and loved to drive it until the tire issues came into play. I had so many tire issues. The pressure calibration needed fixing every 65 miles after 20000. Chewed up tires- horrible road noise. Terrible in bad weather- traded it for a vw passat stationwagon in 2004. Relatively pleased with the passat.

An uninsured motorist with a suspended license hit the driver's rear quarter panel after I swerved to avoid a head on collision with the driver at the last possible moment. Took the hit like a champ. Curtain and seat airbag deployed as expected. Wife and I walked away totally unharmed after being spun l80 degrees. Since been repaired and still love it. Really a tough vehicle not to mention it's beefy stance and sexy curves along with it's superb acceleration chacteristics. Can't say enough Just remember - Drive one and you'll buy it

After two years of aggravation I finally managed to sell my 2003 350Z Touring just before I ran out of free tire replacements. At 10,400 miles the car was on the second set of tires, second ECU, third battery, and it had left me stranded five times. NissanÂ’s service department is the worst to top an already bad situation. Every time the car went in the shop it was there for days at the time (including tire alignments) and they would never call. The Bose stereoÂ’s CD player only worked on warm days but when it does its nice and loud.

I love this car. I love the way it accelerates and turns corners. It is just a matter of how fast are you willing to turn. You can take 270 degree entrance ramps on higways at 70 mph and the tires don't even make any noise. The Bose stereo sound very clear and loud. Lots of rubber neckers look your way and smile. The Xenon headlights work great. The only complaint I have is the seat belt not being used does bounce off the wall and make some noise. For the price it cannot be beat by any Porshe, BMW or Mercedes. Remember when you buy it that this is a try sports car and don't expect it to drive like a SUV.

Bought it new. Have 20k miles. Still happy with performance but not real happy with anything else. I'm glad it's my wife's daily driver, not mine. Alignment was off from inception and it wore the tires prematurely on the inside tread. Dealer realigned the car but nissan refused to replace the worn tires at 14,000 mi. Ever since then there is an extremely offensive howl from the front end. All guest passengers comment on the noises and finish with "well, i wouldn't buy one". I'm going to have to replace the tires when they appear to be only 50 % worn due to the how.L. It's been back to the dealer several times due to the problem. Fun car to drive but ours came with too many shortcomings for us to be happy with it. As mentioned in other Z groups, the dealer plays dumb with the problems -- in our case the front end / tire problem and a 6 speed that has chronic shifting problems from 1>2. Trannie has been replaced once. The front end has had the TSB "fix". With new tires, the noise is returning after about 4000 miles. The seat covers were replaced at less than 12000 miles! And last but not least, burning premium gas these days is very hard on the pocketbook. We had an '88 300Z we owned until we traded it in on 350Z. After our current nightmare, we won't be owning any more Nissans.

I don't want to complain, BUT.........

Car is great fun to drive, but there have been LOTS of minor issues that negate that - audio system sounds great, but repaired twice (not under warranty); crappy placement of 12V outlet and cup holders (can't use radar detector!!); driver side auto-close window doesn't work, tires replaced twice, thumping passenger-side seatbelt, etc. Anyone owning the 350 certainly recognizes these problems BUT.....to drive this car is to forget these admittedly trivial issues (they're not that trivial, but I get very forgiving once behind the wheel)........

Overall, It is an excellent sports car. Harsh ride; no, but it IS firm. Luxury is minimum when compared to BMW; but compare it to anything in its price range, and it is more than sufficient. Because of the smooth torque, I find it much easier to drive in traffic than any other manual I have had. I bought the first year model, and have the tire noise, but I knew it was a problem going into it. There are sacrifices to make when buying an affordable sports car, and the Z asks for a few, but not many. Overall I am floored with my Z experience thus far, and would do it agian in a heartbeat.

Great looks, nice handling(have the track model), crappy build quality. I had this thing in for minor things....it just gets annoying. The dealer refused to fix my faulty window regulator under warrentey becuase I had after market speakers installed. Even though it's a known problem. It took 5 trips to Devon Nissan to fix it. After my first trip it got stuck in the down position on a 300 mile trip. Huge after market....I have $10,000 invested in the suspension/brakes/dvd/stereo. It is a sweet set up and grabs attention everywhere. I buy a new car every 12 months so this one is being replaced. Honestly it will probably be my last Nissan due to the build quility and horrible dealer ex

I have owned my 350Z for almost 2 years and drive it on 1-5 hour trips and around town. It is fast and reliable and has never been in the shop except for 1 tire recall (I got 2 new tires after 18,000 miles) and normal maintenance. The Z is fun to drive - the 6 speed makes the experience better. The ride is acceptable for a sports car, the interior is plain, however the outside is still fashionable and the 3.5 L engine is the best. I miss a back seat, but for the price, you get a lot for your money. I call it my poor man's Porsche - I tell my Porsche owner friends that I can buy 2 Z's for the price of 1 Porsche and enjoy it more. You can't go wrong with the price, power, and look.

The entire experience of owning this car is ruined by Nissan's attitude towards owners of cars with the infamous tire feathering problems. In my case, Nissan has proven to stoop to any level in order to avoid taking responsibility for this lemon. Lying, fabricating stories, etc. I'll never own another Nissan product again. I'm currently preparing to file suit against Nissan since they haven't fixed the car after 6 opportunities. They continue to 'repair' the car, all the while claiming that there is nothing wrong with it. Ha!

This is my second Nissan, Overall, it is a great sports car, gets a lot of attention driving and performs well. Had the OEM battery replaced already after 1 year since it had a bad cell and would not start. The interior plastic feels kind of hollow in center console. It is very hard to see rear objects for sure while backing up. It is rather easy to update Audio\Video components in this car!

Besides the little problems, (Tire Noise, Bad window motor, bad, CV joint, all fixed under warrantry)This is a very good Sports car, If you are looking for a Luxury Sports car, go to BMW. I bought a Touring Z with the Nismo Exhaust and the sound this car makes is unbelieveable. Just watch out for the bad Dealers, I had to switch to different Dealers because my orginal dealer was charging me for things under warranrty (LEGEND NISSAN (LONG ISLAND)HAS THE WORST SERVICE DEPARTMENT)

All I can say is "Wow!" I commute 35 miles each way every day in this car and it brings me to work with a smile on my face. Amazing performance wrapped in a runway-worthy styling package is a real winner in my book. Biggest downside is build quality. Tires, although sticky, wear VERY quickly. Factory alignment issues produced feathering of the tires and HORRIBLE road howl. Dealer will replace tires free of charge under warranty and re- align the car, but it's a BIG headache. Other problem relates to a rattle-prone interior. Build quality is sub-par causing excessive rattles all over the place. Bottom line, if you can afford it, buy the G35. Better car.

I bought this car from a dealer that grabbed it at a dealer auction. It had 12k on it. I had the service bulletins performed to correct the toe settings and some window grease streaks. Other than that, all i do is drive down the road and i get stared at in this car. Its a redline track model and the excitement of this car is believed by many and understood only by those who drive it. The handling and acceleration are next to none. However this is a true muscle car and definitely worth the money. I couldnt be a happier camper. I do feel that the interior lacks a little luxury, but you dont buy a sports car to have a posh interior.

I love this car like a child but like any child it has its problems. Front tires replaced under warranty TWICE for the alignment/tire wear problem. New tranny at 21,000 miles, dealership said it was preventative. Okey dokey. Brake squeek (they might have finally fixed it after 3rd try). Power window switch broken. AC compressor busted. etc. . .etc. Trying to sell it. Low, low resale value (all these problems maybe?)

Well-built, well performing car. Original brake pads dust like crazy, needed replacement to Hawk Street Pro. Front wheel toe-in needed adjustment , causing uneven tire wear. Cons: We are having nothing but MAJOR problems with the car. STAY AWAY. 1)We are in the process of having the ENGINE REPLACED. It has 14K miles on it. The engine is burning oil and requires more work than NISSAN thinks it is worth. 2) There is a major problem with many of these cars in the suspension causing the alignment to go off prematurely ruining the tires. NISSAN is quietly panicking over this 3) Had a stabilizer problem. Now fixed

Go from 50 MPH to stop in no time, but not feel like you are doing a sudden stop. Accelerating on short highway on-ramps is almost too easy. I love this car. I want to mention that the only thing that real upsets me about my car is the tire issue. I have been back to the dealer twice now to fix the Tire growl and feathering issue. Quite frankly it's still not fixed. I have read alot of articles and they all seem to bring this issue up. Nissan really needs to step up and address this issue. The alignment and tire rotation that they recommend does not work. After it was applied to my car it seemed ok for about 1500 miles then the growl started to come back. I plan on bring the car back a third time.

The 350Z is a car that looks expensive, but is actually reasonably priced. Styling is top notch. Handling is superb, and the steering is responsive and crisp. Acceleration is also very responsive in any gear. The interior is very roomy, at least in my opinion, and the seats are very supportive and comfortable. The car is fun to drive and begs to be driven. The car may have a few bugs, and being the first year for the 350Z, its common in any car.

When I first bought this car I really loved it, but not I'm not too happy with it lately. Having problems with Front End Noise. Brought it in and Nissan said there was a recall on it stating the noise is from the tires. There recommendation was fliping the tires from side to side and front alignment (I only had 6000 miles on the car). When I got the car back it was worse than before. There next suggestion was turn up the radio so I wouldn't hear the noise. Didn't make me happy. I also had problems with my breaks squeezing really bad. - they said it was normal.

Traded a Thunderbird SC for this car. The Ford wasn't bad but it doesn't compare to this car. It literally goes where you point the nose. At 5500 rpm when most cars give it up, this one still has juice. The cornering ability continues to surprise me after 9 months of daily driving.

I traded up from a 93 300ZX, and as perfect as I thought that car was, this one is even better. The power and handling are amazing, and the ride is not as rough as you might think. The brakes are awesome. The seats are excellent. Be warned, that for the 03 model year, most have front suspension problem. The front tires wear more on the inside, and get extremely loud after about 4,000 miles. Nissan will swap them from side to side at no charge, but the problem comes back.

Front-end suspension design issue is prevalent in the 350Z leading to excessive road noise and premature front tire wear.Technical Service Bulletin NTB03006. The problem is not alleviated by Nissan's quick fix and must be addressed. Nissan has not returned my requests by email on whether the matter is being looked into.

The Good: - great handling - gutsy engine - great exterior design - fantastic engine note - supportive seats - what a bargain! - can steer with the GO pedal:) The Bad: - creaks and rattles with only 12000 miles - notchy shifter that needs a lesson or two from Honda - choppy ride - orange dash lighting screams "Pontiac" - chintzy interior plastics - rear visibility - touchy brakes The Ugly: - the absolute WORST stereo I've heard outside of an AM radio; Nissan/Bose should be ashamed

Almost purchased a Z4 [+$10k], passed on Boxster [cramped under the wheel],Audi TT [stands for too tiny], selected the Z350. It looks beautiful in black. (2) Golf bags only with drivers pulled. Have owned a 240, and 300Z, but this car tops them all in brute power and handling.Am always telling myself to keep it cool. My wife loves the way the seats wrap the body; she "gets respect" when she drives, and she also loves to drive the car. We get 37 MPG when we go to Las Vegas from San Diego and back. The seats are more comfortable for traveling long distances than the previous versions. This is a keeper.

Boxter? Eclipse? Celica? WRX? As far as 99% of reviews and forums are concerned, the 350z, with the proper driver of course (me), this set of prey will be eatin alive by my 350. Especially with just a few modifications to the intake and exhaust, pushing the powerful V6 to close to 300 horses and over 290 torque, they will be nowhere in sight.

The best thing about owning this car has nothing to do with its features. It is the admiration and respect people have shown towards me. I never thought a car could do all of that for me. I get compliments and thumbs up everywhere I go. My Mustang was an enjoyable ride, but I never got this much attention. I got mine in Silverstone w/ Orange leather seats. As far as mods, I will check out some 19" wheels and some minor engine tweaks.

Butt-kicking performance, style AND a comfortable ride all in one package. At a price that's not in the stratosphere. This is the best car I've ever had. Performance ROCKS: 0-60 before your eyeballs come back to the surface, and you pretty much CAN'T get the tires to lose grip. The Performance Model is a really good compromise between performance and comfort, and it comes with cloth seats (in my opinion, the only way to go in a sports car. The best part is, Nissan has again (as it did with the original 240Z in the sixties) redefined the price- performance equation. Nothing this good can be had for less than about $15K more than the Z costs.

Just about everything about my 350Z is wonderful. The power is great, the cornering is also good. Nissan did cut corners on the material used in the interior, but the design is attractive. Mileage is good for a car with this much power. The car understeers slightly in stock form, but this can probably be fixed with minor suspension modifications - swaybars, wider front tires, etc.

Outstanding acceleration and handling on tight turns and corners. The tight handling has given me a feeling of sea- sickness, due to its unforgiving handling. I have been trying to find out how the car will handle in the snow, but cannot get an answer from anyone at Nissan. On base model, Nissan cheaped out on radio and system. Very cheap.

Nothing else on the road looks like a Z. A pure and simple head-turner. And the way it handles moving in and out of traffic, and mountain roads is agile as a cat. The rear suspension brace keeps the wheels on the road even in wet weather (within reason, of course) The manual transmission is quick and solid. If you invest in leather seats, you won't be disappointed. Mine had to have a fuel tank pressure regulator valve replaced at less than 10000 miles, but no other problems.

The 350Z is a great value, a lot of performance and style for the money. I bought this car as my first sports car and I definitely have not been disappointed. My primary objective was to blend performance, reliability, fuel economy, and styling - and the 350Z delivers. It's a great looking car; it turns heads. The overall performance is comparable to that of much more expensive cars. Fuel economy has exceeded the stated values. Reliability, whether around town or on vacation, has never been in doubt. If you want a true sports car at an honest, reasonable price, this is it: the 350Z. You need look no further.

After three months with the new 350Z the new car feeling has started to fade but the sheer fun of driving the 350Z is still way up there. A periscope would be nice for backing up and lane changing but it is, after all, a sports car and you have to accept a few minor inconveniences unless you're Bill Gates. I'm not Bill Gates. The engine is just incredible with it's strong pulling power from any gear at any speed but second and third will put you right back in your seat when you press the fun pedal. The performance edition does not have the Brembo brakes but when you decide you've had enough, the standard brakes still bring the car to a stop quickly and smoothly.

My goal was to find the best performing/fun to drive car. I ended up with the 350Z. The Z is a ton of fun to drive: from it's throaty exhaust, to its extremely low stance and amazing handling... For those who need a backseat: see the Infiniti G35.

Great performing car! However, there are issues. One only has to go to 350Z forums to hear of the many problems the Z has: sever feathered front tires that need to be replaced every few thousand miles, pourpousing on cement highways, bad alignment, manual trans being replaced several times, front seat moves while cornering just to name a few. In general Nissan has not addressed these problems. Many Z owners have filed formal notices with the NHTSA, wich are vewable on http://www- odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/cars/problems/complai n/complaintsearch.cfm I would check with your dealer and other owners before purchasing this car.

I wasn't even going to test drive this car after being anti-Japanese sports cars my whole life (always thought copied European designs and watered the character down). I was blown away by the Z. Great driving position, a transmission and steering with true feel, and excellent brakes too. Almost bought an M3 before driving this. Any real driver would be crazy not to take this car over a beefed up sedan that costs 20 grand more.

This car is the most fun to drive of any I have driven (Fiero, supercharged Miata, BMW Issetta etc.). The car is glued to the road. The ride is firm and smooth, but tells you all you need to know about the road surface. The performance is quick. The push is strong throughout the rpm range. Very easy to drive fast on back country roads from the day you get behind the wheel. Not sure why they only charge $30,000 for this car. I drive it to work every day and I look forward to the trip each day.

I have owned this vehicle for 3 weeks and would like to say that I am completely satisfied. It doesn't have the power of the Corvette or the styling of a Porsche, but for the money it is a superior sports car. I upgrades from a 6-cylinder Altima and only miss the fact the now I can only fit 2 golf bags rather than 4.

I have the Performance Model Vin #251 which is blue and now almost exactly a year old with 19000 miles on it. I love this car. My only regret was not getting the leather interior. The carbon fiber cloth does not hold up well and freys (especially on the driver's side). I've replaced the seat cover twice now for this problem with no solution as a subsitute fabric offered by Nissan yet. That said, you can't find a better sports car on the market today for the price. My top speed so far has been 145mph. Although the car is capable of more it is difficult to find a rural hwy. in good enough condition to go faster! Overall experience is a solid 10!!!

I had been looking for a car that handled as well as my 3000GT's (I had several incl. 3 VR4's). This car is it. I can't believe the torque and speed without even having a turbo. It corners as well as the VR4's even without 4- wheel drive. I believe that's because the engine is just behind the front axles. Only complaint is I keep scraping the small black spoiler in the front (just $79 item). I'm selling it to get the conv. Buy for $32,000 (Touring w/aero) 954-294-2277

We did comparsion shopping, looked at the Lexus 2 door, the Audi TT and the Mercedes, but this has been the best decision we've made. The 350 is my "fun" car and not primary. I had a 280Z in the 80's and loved the car. I did not like the 300 series though so when I first saw the 350Z in a mag. I had to have it. Ordered 9-02 and it finally arrived with all the snow in 1-03. Same wonderful Z roar as the 280 had. Turns eyes/heads everywhere I go!!! Great fun to drive---handles exceptionally well on interstates that allow +70mph and crocked mountain roads. My only complaint is that I cannot spend more time driving for fun.

First and foremost, this vehicle is new and exciting and gets more interest than any Porche. It also costs much less than most sports cars with simular performance, if not more. There are a few flaws in the design which include heavy blind spots looking rear, mostly if you are tall. Difficult access to the storage compartments, and a poor stereo with the top of the line track model. These flaws are minute however, compared to the pros.

Love, love, love the car, except for a few minor things. They put a cheap sleazy plastic gas cover on this car! The back window is limited to see out of.........like when cops are coming up on you. It has no inside button to open back hatch, the cup holders are a joke........other wise it is great. Contrary to historical experience I like this car more now than when I bought it. This car is a blast. It begs for high speed turns and it stops on a dime. The transmission loves to wind and the torque ratio is great in any gear. The body style is cool. The interior is more than adequate and is designed for sports car performance. The rev light, tire temp monitor, extensive gauges' and best of all SEATS that conform to my body that prevent lateral movement during high speed turns etc. All for under $32000-WOW

My wife has watched this car through it's development and we have not been dissapointed with any detail. The kids are grown so we could buy a car without restraints of meeting are families needs. It's affordable, the nice thing about this car is you can get the performance, styling, handling, of much more expensive sports cars that won't meet your budget until you're old enough to have your license revoked. Bring on weekends, it can make driving the freeways fun, but give it a chance to run free on mountain roads and it will take you back to your youth.

With a little over 3k miles, my biggest problemhas been keeping the car clean. It gets 400 miles between refills using ~17.5 gallons. It drives a great on the freeways as the canyons. The gearing on the 6spd MT is good and I never lug in any gear or wind out in any gear. Full use of engine and tranny from 1k - 6k rpm. A little bouncy on the 5 freeway where the concrete is choppy for all cars, I expect to improve the cornering with better shocks & sway bars after a few years. I look forward to changing the brakes because they get dirty quickly and tires because they have short tread life designation.

I love it

Traded 1982 280ZX for the new 350Z. Traction control "ON" is a must for normal driving. First year model does have some issues, but Nissan is doing their best to resolve. I am very happy with the response of the 287ph and the 6 Speed is very smooth. Its hard not to punch it every time you get a chance. Handling and performance are outstanding for a $30K true sports car.

After owning a Datsun 240 & 260Z back in the early 70's, I was pleased to see the 350Z arrive. The car is everything you can ask for in the price range. It's fun to drive, turns heads everywhere you go and asks to be driven hard. I have had zero complaints and look forward to many, many miles of enjoyable driving.

This vehicle is great. I looked at the G35 Coupe / Audi TT / Porsche. For the money the 350Z was the best buy hands down. Although you have to pay sticker for this car, it is a great buy. It screams GO GO GO. Step on the gas and you fly. This is by far the best sports car I have owned.

I went to Clay Nissan to look at Frontiers. The people that came with me said I should check out a 350Z. So, the dealer got the keys (for the 2003 Touring model of course) and I went for a drive. I fell in love with it right away. I then took a 2004 Maxima for a spin, but it didn't compare. After another spin in the Z I put my money on the table and drove away with it. Um, I kinda forgot about test driving the Frontiers....

Love the Car But....

Love the Car's Performance, its a blast to drive, and it gets lots of looks... BUT...the door sills are high which makes it difficult to use drive through banking services, it is somewhat difficult to get in and out of the car, and replacement tires for this model are very expensive. FYI...You do not rotate the tires front to rear on the touring model...the tires are directional tires and the front and back tires are different sizes. The dealers do not inform you of this...I just happened to ask while I was closing the deal. However, these factors did not prevent me from purchasing the Z.

This car is Great It quick, Awesome looking and handles like a dream Power is good for the every day driver or the track. The only complaint is that the motor is a bit lowed you can hear the valve train win driving All though the exhaust helps to cover it up. Grat car and a lot less than a vette or mustang cobra.

Great car, especially for the money. This car is a total blast to drive. Prior to buying the car, I had been worried about the limited rear visibility -- as it turns out, this has not been a problem, because the side mirrors are positioned to make up for the poor visibility through the rear hatch. My only issue with this car is the poor sound from the Clarion factory standard sound system.

This car is awesome. Gets tighter and faster each time I drive it. I was told the computer kicks up the engine at 3k and 6k. It's true. My decission to by this car was made with one exception, comfort. I am a "big guy" and I finally got to sit in the car when the car was released to the dealers. I fit perfectly. If I had to nit-pick, I would only comment on two things. One of the things is because I'm upset about all the rain we have been getting. Opening the window when it's wet outside is not how I want to wash the interior.Nissan needs to design - con't below

The experience improves every time I drive the care! I've never had a car that so markedly improved once it was broken in. The shifter is perfect (initially it was what some would call slightly notchy) and the engine pulls so much harder than when I drove it off the lot. I remember that first drive because I was thinking "this doesn't seem that much faster than my VR6 Jetta." Now, it has become a torque monster. I love it! Handling is first rate and the feel/feedback from the shifter, brakes, steering and clutch are perfect.

I ordered it last Feb and waited 8 months to get it. This is my secondary car and I've already put 8,000 miles on it and I've had it less than 7 months. But with that said I can not recommend this car as being reliable enough vehicle to be a primary car. Because in the 7 months I've owned it it's developed a rattle coming somewhere from the passanger side dash and it's starting to drive me bonkers. There is a TSB for an excessive tire noise.

THANK YOU Nissan for making the decision to build this car. Of all the Z's, the 350 should stand out as one the best, bringing back the philosphy of the original 240, in a total package of performance, value, and safety. I challenge anyone to find a car in this price range that offers the build quality, attention to detail, performance, and comfort which the 350 Z offers its owners. Thus far it has been a wounderful experince, with few Negitives to report; Paint quality could be better as it semms to chip easily, ride is a little harsh, but it is a sports car;not sure why, but grease streaks appear on side windows after powering up. Wow, wow, and wow again! The 350Z. I just had to have this car. Just look at it. (Although the 911 influence is obvious, I say it looks better than even the most modern production 911s.) Although my Porsche 944Turbo (951) is faster (due to bolt-on turbo modifications, et al), it can in no way come close to offering what the 350 can. This thing handles-- seriously--like a go cart. In fact, that is pretty much the 350 altogether: a big, fun adult go cart, with lots of eye-candy to boot. And for the money? Well, let's just say that my technologically superior 2003 350Z costs less than did my 951 back in 1986...and I bought the track model.

My husband loves the car. He's a Porsche man and thinks this is the best thing since sliced bread. We both do have concerns about the bumpiness of the car. When on smooth roads, it's great, but hold on to your drink if you catch a boucy road. Has even made us dizzy at times. We have had bad luck with our vehicle. The seats were mildewed when we purchased them and had to be replaced. Vehicle smells like mildew again. Not sure what it is. Can you believe, we've already been hit twice? Everybody stares at the car, then they end up hitting it. : (

I am a Z owner and belong to several forums so I know this isn't a one-off problems. First Z's have been known to have radio, transmission, alignment, and window problems after only 3-8k miles. NNM has done a decent job fixing some. I have had my Z for 4mths 3200 miles and my tires are now beginning to feather and show serious problems. Not a hard driver or racer. NNM has no fix at this time.

I've always wanted a sportscar. Saw the 350Z for the first time, fell head-over- heels, and ordered a red manual transmission touring addition from my local dealer - all in the same day. The car is everything I imagined - fast, beautiful, smooth, sexy. Driving it is a total rush! Acceleration is instant. I love the little unexpected extras, like the auto-dim rearview mirror with garage door openers, and holders that keep the empty passenger seat belt from rattling. I was surprised at the very smooth and quiet ride - not what I expected in a sportcar!

Its fast, its hot, and its mine.

The 350Z boasts great power and excellent fuel economy. The handling is almost track worthy as a stock vehicle. It has dramatic and eye- catching exterior styling and let's not forget an under 30K base price tag. My personal experience with the car leads me to say that the Z suffers less "bugs" than many other first year vehicles. Some rattles and squeaks here and there but the powertrain and engine are rock solid reliable. The manual transmission is very short and precise. Suspension is stiff and can get bouncy over uneven roads, but still tolerable over most roads (it's my daily driver). Overall, the Z is an excellent sports car.

Hello Folks, Just purchased my 350Z Touring Model and I LOVE IT!!!! This car is $20-25K less than some of my past sports cars and it outperforms most of them. Furthermore, my overall buying experience at Miller Nissan in Fairfield, CT was wonderful. For a no nonsense buying experience ask for Mr. Juan Mills. I know this sounds like a paid advertisement, but obviously it is not. I am just happy about my entire experience and wanted to share it with everyone. Again, I LOVE THIS CAR!!!!!

Not to mention the fine lines and exterior of this car is magnificant!! NISSAN IS BACK, watch out Honda and Toyota. There's a new SHERIFF in town!!!

Just barely bought it. 0-60 in 5.4, 14.1 in a quater mile. That was slower than my honda swapped motor, and didn't cost as much the 350z. Now Mitsubishi and Subaru are bringing both their rally editions of the cars over here. AWD (Full time All Wheel Drive) 271 bhp Lancer, 300 bhp Subaru. Only a 4 cylinder. 13.8 in a quater mile for the lancer and 13.5 in quater mile for the Subaru. Almost around or lesser of what the 350z cost is. I guess I should of waited.

Great looking car, very well engineered. I think it could have a little bit more pick up for a 287HP car. The car also has a very poor paint job, I expereinced a lot problems with it chipping under normal driving conditions. I also heard a lot other people's 350z's doing the same thing

Great looks and performance. I get plenty of stares as I drive. One guy in a pickup truck pulled up next to me at 65 mph and snapped a picture in Sept. 2002. Terrible in the snow (only drove it once in those conditions) but that will be the last time I do. Love the sound of the exhaust, rides rough like a sports car and handles extremely well. Not the fastest car on the rode but it's the most fun driving I have ever had.

Just bought the "Z" 2 weeks ago. I have never before enjoyed driving a car as much as this one. The auto trans is a blast in both auto mode & the manual select mode. To me you get the best of both worlds, shift only when you want to. The driver's seating is very comfortable and leg room is plenty. Steering is fantastic. Ride is very firm but I love the feel. It is hard to explain but driving this car just "feels" so right. This is a very uniquely styled car with a lot of character. It may not be the best at anything but it is damn good at everything and that suits me to a "Z". Mine is pearl white metallic and I love the color.

Before I bought this car, I read a review about a bad stereo system. That person must have wax in their ears, because this music system is great. I think I know what a rock star feels like because everyone I pass turns their head to check out this spectacular car. This car is the best thing for under 30,000

Car is 3mths old. with 1400 miles. Been in the shop twice already with clutch problems. Clutch pedal sticks in depressed position (near floorboard). Latest problem... lost use of clutch altogether, had to "jam" the car into gear just to get back to my home. Feel total lack of confidence in this vehicle. Dealer has had the car twice for the same problem now. Next time this happens I plan to enforce the "LEMON LAWS". Nissan made aware of situation, but offered no real help.

This is an amazing car. There isn't a thing not to like on this automobile. Until it snows. Like last Thursday night when i lost control of the car three separate occassions and slammed into a guardrail after three weeks of having the car. Don't get me wrong, the car is a lot of fun to drive. Everyone stares at it, and it is a complete head turner. Just one word of caution, any of the white stuff on the ground, ride a bike, or call a cab. You don't want to have your three week old car in the auto body shop like me.

I love not only the power the engine provides, handling, and the exterior design, but the comfortable interior. Inside you have heated leather seats, 6 disc cd player in the dase, climate control - you pick the temperature and you never have to touch the controls again, auto diming review mirror with programable garage door opener. There is not one thing that I would change about this car!

The 350Z was introduced to the US market as a true sports car - 3.5 V6, 287HP, handling, performance, etc. What I like: I like the design and that's about it. What I dont like: Performance - dont be fooled this is not a performance car! Go test drive fo instance a 5 years old Supra and you'll feel the difference between the 350Z and a performance car. Comfort - ergonomic but your visibility is sacrificed. Fuel Economy - not important. Fun to Drive - handles good, wont say it is fun though. The car has lost the original sports spirit of the 300zx. I f you are looking for a sports car spend your $30000+ somewhere else.

My wife drove this car told me she wanted it. I walked into the showroom asked if he would sell the car with msrp of $35,633 for $33,000 He said "are you ready to write the check?" I said yes. Manager counter offered $33,216 ($2209 below msrp) I wrote the check and drove it home. In the 29 years we have been married I have never seen her happier. So don't believe that these cars are not discounted. And be ready to deal without a trade in or anything else. It depends on how many they have in stock of the model you buy If this doesn't work one place it will in another. Edmunds TMV for my zip code was $38,106

Owned a Datsun 280 2plus2, and it turned to be Legendary, hope this one will turn the same way. Sold a Mercedes 2001 SLK Kompressor to buy this car, I miss the convertible feature more than anticipated as well that the cruise control, but the basic performance of the car and sober interior and excelent construction may compensate for it.Before the Mercedes I owned a 1999 Corvette C5 Convertible, dont miss it at all.

Wow, What a car. Day 1 driving it and I almost smacked into a pole doing crazy u turns at speed. The car feels like it is on rails no matter how hard you push it. Nice acceleration from a dead stop or just kicking in with burst speed. 6 speed tranny is the only way to fly; this one is smooth as silk. Why would you buy the automatic? Roomy cabin. Feels great no matter where you dive. Very responsive.

For the money thereÂ’s not another car out there that'll touch it - not even close & I test-drove a lot. I got a Touring/MT, black w/orange leather. In traffic people lean out their windows to ask me about it. ItÂ’s a real driver's car, stiff, very fast, precise, but roomy & comfortable inside. Instrumentation is beautiful. Stereo could use work - sound is thin but I like the controls. Too bad a lot of hairball dealers are screwing it up for Nissan - I paid MSRP (Tustin Nissan - great people, no hassle) after talking to two others who wanted $2.5K over MSRP. Haven't enjoyed driving a car this much in years - it's really in a class of it's own.

The 350Z is the best bang for the buck in the sports car segment of the industry today. The car's performance in unbelievable, really feels like a true sports car. Acceleration w/ 6 speed gearbox is excellent. Only complaint is dissapointing Bose stereo. Lacks clarity, more muffled than anything else. Would highly recommend this car to anyone.

This car met all my expectations. It is powerful and fast. That's what a true sport car should be. I looked at Honda S2000, BMW 3-series and Infiniti G35 Coupe before settling on this one. Each of those model has its pluses and minuses but the 350Z is best overall. Just the style making all heads turn worths the pride owning this car. The only nuisane is this car seems like a magnet that attracts all the Accords, Civics and Intergras, which are on steroid, next to me. The dealership and the salesman that I got the car from were also excellent and a pleasure to purchase the car from.

The Track model is definitely not the best bang for the buck (if you want that, go for the Enthusiast model), but if you want the very best, this model is it. I love the large Brembo brakes and the ultra light 18 inch Rays Engineering wheels. They really complete the car, in my opinion. The engine is powerful, although it seems to lack the high-rpm pull compared to an S2000. But the low-end torque adequately makes up for it. The steering is solid and responsive, and relays a sense of confidence. The car stays firmly planted on the ground on when pushed, but it does have a tendency to understeer at the limit. Overall, it's a great car.

Bought the base model because I wanted the least expensive, did not need the cruise control, fancy mirror, etc. This ride is Superb!!! It's fast, quick in the turns, virtually no body roll. This is my first real sports coupe and I am not disappointed. accelerates hard even in fourth gear and is very stable and relatively quiet at triple digit speeds... Wish the stereo was better, but who needs it, the exhaust note is very throaty... it means business.. I am extremely happy with this purchase... Can't wait for a turbo/supercharged model to be available.

I hate being out of the driver's seat. I feel like the car was made for ME, the driver is clearly the focus of the experience. It really isn't designed for passenger, the lone cup holder (within reach but not in the way) on the dash is biggest indicator. The seats are very snug but excellent for long trips. I've already made four trips across the dessert to Phoenix from San Diego and my legs don't get numb nor do I feel like I drove over 300 miles nonstop at the end of my trips. Car was extremely well thought out and is solid. The ride is quiet but when taken past 4000 RPM the engine sounds like a pure racer.

I love how the handles around corners and high speed. The 3.5L engine is smooth and powerful. I drove the car from San Jose, Ca to Riverside, Ca using the Interstate 5. Over the steep Tejon Pass, the car moves effortless in sixth gear. Overall gas mileage for my 398 miles trip is 28.9 miles per gallon. It is also one great looking sport car. Great job by the Nissan designers.

Perhaps I got a lemon from the factory, or I just had bad luck... but here is a laundry list of problems that I've had with the car (at 4000) miles 1. Uneven tire wear (18" Performance wheels) attributed to bad alignment, fixed by Nissan under warranty. 2. Grinding 3rd gear 3. Stitching on passenger side seat coming apart 4. Faulty Rack & Pinion (car won't steer at idle... making parallel parking impossible (replaced under warranty) 5. Assorted rattles from interior. However, performance and value of this car are unprecedented, and it is very hard finding a car with this much performance for the price.

I traded an anemic AudiTT for mine. For about the same price as a stripped TT you get heated seats, power seats, Bose, HID Lights, 100+ more Horsepower and a lot of smaller items as well. I've drove my Brother in Laws $50,000 Vette, and while I may not be able to outperform it, the Z feels better attached to the road. If feeling like your're in a sports car is important then you just gotta drive one of these.

Originally i was inlove with the M3 but I can never afford a new one and I don't trust the condition on a used one. The 350 came by and wow it looked better than a 911, drove as fast as the 333hp M3, and costs almost half as much. I mean there are drawbacks that an M3 can offer that this car cannot including 3 year free maintenance and service, better power, more balanced ride and comfort, the status of BMW, and better fit and finish. But wow for the price difference I can still look good and buy a new Boss wardrobe.

A sports car that does every thing either good or great. Yes, those Nissan dealers trying to gouge cutomers. Purchased my Z for $500 under MSRP and had another dealer willing to go $750 under MSRP. USE the internet sales department for each Nissan dealer. Ask how much below MSRP they are willing to go. I contacted 8 Nissan dealers, 3 dealers would sell for $2000 above MSRP, 3 dealers at MSRP and 2 dealers below the MSRP. I asked dealers why would I come back here if this is how you treat a customer. Why as a car dealer are you throwing away future sales for a quick kill. It took me two months of searchering and e- mails saved money.

I was one of the 7500 US alloted pre- orders. I ordered it in Jan. 2002 and received the car in Sept. This is my 3rd "Z" car and by far the very best and fastest also. Everywhere I go I get the traditional thumbs up and people want to talk with me about the car. Ride is a little bumpy, but hey its a true sports car. The seats fit very snug especially for someone tall like me. Power at all speeds is awesome and its hard to hold the car back at times. Engine is absolutely top notch.

I dislike the limited side and rear view, the rear strut bar reflects in the mirror, narrow width of the drivers' seat back, the dead pedal to far back, and location of the center console compartment. That said--WOW what a machine. I own several 240,260,280 and 280ZX Turbos but this is the best. Did a 2,000 mile 2 day trip and enjoyed every minute, did a lot of 95MPH cruising, averaged 77MPH and 25.9 MPG.

The new 350Z is an excellent feat of engineering. Of course, it is exceptionally powerful and agile in the canyons, but it is also amazingly quiet and comfortable on the freeway. For a sports car, it has a good amount of storage space, though the rear stabilizer can get in the way. The stereo system is mediocre--I'll redo it as soon as I have the time. Otherwise, two thumbs up--WAY UP!

An impulse buy initially, the 350Z has become my daily commuter. Even though there is NO ROOM inside the vehicle except for driver and a SMALL overnight bag, the 350z is a very useful vehicle around town. Valet attendants will pay you to park the car; children young and old will surround you asking questions while stopped. The opposite sex comes to see you as very desirable. In this personÂ’s view, the 350z is going to become a classic and is going to play havoc with the sports car field in the next few years forcing the other manufacturers to follow suit.

A truly superior sports car that not only shows a sense of class but outstanding styling and performance. These attributes combined with it's affordability puts this car clearly in the winners circle. On a recent trip from the high desert north of Los Angeles to Las Vegas, NV and return my wife and I were very impressed with our cars performance and resonable comfort (for a true sports car).Everywhere we went people were impressed by this car and believe me, it was easy to give a glowing testimony about this car. The 350Z easliy exhibited the power and handling needed in that tough LA to Vegas traffic without the sacrifice of gas mileage.

Zippin' around for just under 2 months & worth every penny. I just got into terrible accident & it looks bad on the passenger side where it was hit but the driver side is still perfect. Van in a high speed chase, about 50mph, slammed into right passenger side where the front wheel sits. My car was thrown 5 lanes over and I escaped with slight soreness. I was amazed how it held up. There was no passenger but had there been they would have been ok as well. A extremely safe car that would completely meet anyones expectation. And a great handling and powerful car to match. Don't expect to drive anonymously in this car! The Lemans Sunset almost receives too much attention ...the endless waving and honking. Can I just get some peace? The exterior styling is bar none. Audi...Porsche whatever. The car handles great and the 6-speed rocks. Acceleration is quick though I haven't really dropped the hammer yet (1200 mile break in period you know). The engine/exhaust harmonics are terrfic. Interior is stylish with nice aluminum accents. Leather seats are very comfortable with good support and plenty of leg room.

Great machine. I get more looks and gawks than any car I've owned. The car handles great, looks great, and it certainly is priced right. One major flaw is the sound system -- needs an overhaul. Only other minor item is the plastic seat trim on the drivers side that is coming apart.

I was driving down the road last week in my new mustang GT. Then I saw this Z 350. At first I thought it was a Porseche on steroids. Then as I slowed down it was a Nissan!!! Are you kidding! I paid the MSRP on my 5 speed automatic. Everyone at work is jealous! I love it!

Paid $3000 over MSRP and was happy to get the car...I have owned it one week...Black Touring 6 Speed...I had tested the G35 coupe and this blows it away...Crank up the sound system, tint those windows Limo Black, and you never want to leave the car...Previously owned a 1975 280Z, and this takes you back to the days...Can't wait for the aftermarket kits

My Daytona Blue Z is the hottest car in the city/state/country... I get more comments on it than if I were a celebrity pulling up and getting out of a Limo- Feels more like 300Hp and the handling is amazing. Turn the VDC off and tear the wheels up at a stoplight, man no feeling can beat this. The stock stereo was worthless but has since been upgraded to a new Alpine 7894 and Infinity Kappas all around. Now the car is perfect! Easily reaches 155mph- ZYAL8R!

After reviewing several new sports cars, I finally settled in on the 350Z. I was waiting for a new BMW Z4 to arrive for a test drive, when I decided to research the new 350Z. This car is amazing, I brought the car at MSRP, other dealers in my area were asking for offers 5000 dollars over MSRP. The test drive was incredable. I can't wait to get this car, I'm picking it up on 10/25/02, I'll send an update after 30 days.

I placed my order in March. The only concern that I has, since there was no model to sit in, was headroom and leg room. A number of years ago, I was going to buy a Porche 944. I bought a 300ZX instead mainly due to lack of room in the Porche. I was delighted with the room in the 350. It fits like a glove. All the hype was true. I am back at home again in my Z. The performance surpasses the hype. The attention the car gets is beyond belief. I wish everyone could experience the feel of a 350Z. This is what driving

I have 920 miles on this car and it is by far the most fun to drive car I have ever owned. If you're looking for a car that has the general public stunned and aren't afraid of answering constant questions about it, then this car is for you. After driving this car, I wouldn't even think about paying 2-3 times the Z's cost to own a Porsche. The Z has everything you could want and then some. To experience the magnificent engine properly, you need lots of open highway cause it loves to run. Trust me this car is tight!

Overall the car is great. I don't think too many people mind paying MSRP for the first year production of the new Z. The people on the street rubber neck like crazy since there aren't too many out there yet. The overall performance is good although it doesn't have quite the raw horsepower "feel" that I thought it would. Still, I feel that this car is extremely well made and reliable.

I was expecting te performance of this vehicle to be very close to the American V8s, but it's another over-rated V6 "wanna-be" sport car. . The driving of the car is no different than the Altima. I preordered a Daytona Blue Touring Model. The dealer promised MSRP only...No Premiums. The car arrived yesterday and they tacked on a $2000 add-on called "Paint and Fabric Protection Plan." After finalizing the price with the salesman months before I was shocked that all of the sudden its $2000 more than we agreed. The sleazy manager said, "take it or leave it, I have other people who want it." So we left it. The manager then replied, "Good, I didn't want to sell it to you anyway." I have to say, I've been following the development of the 350Z for quite a while now. I'm really enthusiastic about this new Z car, but one thing is for sure, I'll be waiting for the 2004 model year. I hope by that time the dealerships will be more reasonable about the pricing, let those who can't wait for a good thing pay the price of dealer gouging. I'm hoping the 2004 model may have some further refinements over the freshman class (over 300 HP perhaps?), and that any bugs will be worked out of the production process. Still given the competition, I think this is one great buy as long as the dealers don't try inflating the price.

Awesome

I am pleased to note that the dealers in the Dallas-Ft Worth area have agreed not to charge any premium for cars. I suspect this may not hold true in the future based on popularity of cars. The first dealer claimed I would have to select from the options they chose as their allotment. I bought from a 2nd dealer who let me order the car the way I wanted it with an October delivery.

I love my dealer!!!

This my third Nissan bought from this dealer(3) Maximas; my wife is driving a 1999 and loves it. I'm recovering from extensive surgery, so I had sold my car to avoid making payments to the credit union and insurance company. I got paranoid before pre-ordering the car because of the possibility of the dealer gouging me when the car comes in. I told them my fears and they(salesman and sales manager) signed off on my order that I would pay MSRP on the car with the options I had chosen, after deducting my good faith cash deposit. I don't expect any difficulty with delivery.

just ordered a new z

Among all the headturns and shouts on the streets of SF I have fallen in love with my new Nissan 350Z (Track model). I now own three sports cars (which will remain nameless) and I am very impressed with the 350Z overall. Incredible lateral, 290 hp with great low end, the Z is comfortable across all RPM range, and is very unique in the cockpit. Nissan has a real winner here.

Now we know what a Porshe should cost!

This car is so exciting that I have been having trouble sleeping. If you are lucky enough to find the right dealer you can even get the Z at a realistic price. I went to 4 different dealers and finally found one that isn't gouging or ripping people off. They are one of the few dealers that will actually refund your deposit if you are not totally thrilled. I don't think they will be giving back to many though because this car defines love at first sight.

Dont buy from Northside Nissan SC.

If anyone really loves this car I suggest not buying from Northside Nissan SC. The dealer ship lacks of trust and all they want is to rip you off. Their are other Dealers out their.

If you are really dying to get one of these new Z cars, wait! The delivery dates for the preorder versus walking customer is one week. There is enormous backlash against the dealers raping the consumer, which has gotten Corporate Nissan scared out of their collective minds. Current thinking is that this backlash will make the initial ones that have problems more visible. Nissan is really wishing that they had not done the preorder method with this car.
