Great experience! Adam responded immediately. We didn't buy the original vehicle we looked at but he had one even better! We got great deal and he was excellent to deal with. I would definitely recommend him to anyone and purchase future vehicles from him.

I do all my own maintenance, how ever I did get an after market vehicle coverage plan. I can not determine what the oil change schedule is if you only drive your car 6,000 miles a year. Love the car, but not sure if I will keep the coverage plan. I replaced the Trans and rear, trunk lid w/ spoiler, tail lights, radio, rotors, brakes, wheel inserts and some small items. this vehicle was a repo and the last owner stripped and sold some parts. Still looking for a recommended maint schedule for cars over 130,000 miles, driven at 6,000 miles per year. [contact info removed].

I never had much faith in ford. I tend to like the Japanese and German automobiles. I have owned 2 Taurus and 2 Explorers. I was in a position where I needed a car. This little mustang ended up being in my price range. Purchased at 153k mi this car performs quite well. I travel regularly from California to Las Vegas and Arizona. This car 6k mi and a month and half later, it has not let me down. It's cheap to fill up and averages 28.4 mpg Hwy and 24.1 City. Tho it lacks the power I'm use to in my bmw it compensates for it in fuel cost & gas mileage. Very fun to drive and handles quite well for an American car.

I had my sights on a Mustang SVT for a while. I held off buying because of the production issues with the Mustang Cobra. When the supercharged model came out I decided it was time. Best car I've owned. I got a great price, $31.6k without having to haggle. The power and handling makes for a very fun car to drive. The original Goodyear Eagle tires stick to the curves like the car is on rails.

I have owned a 2001 V6, 2004 GT and the Mach and there is a world of difference between the v6 and GT but the Mach is in a class of its own when compared to the GT. This includes the extensive upgrades made to the GT compared to a stock Mach. Of the dozens of vehicles I have owned and driven the Mach is by far the best bang for the buck. I traded in the Gt for the Mach in 2007 and the Mach is paid off and worth more than I paid for it, needless to say this is a rarity in the automobile market but it seems the Mach is still a car that people appreciate. I have upgraded it with just the normal bolt on parts and it performs perfectly. This is the 1st vehicle I know I will keep indefinitely.

I got this 2003 Red Mach 1 automatic in Oct 2005 with 13k miles on it and it now has 31k miles on it in Nov 2011. I have had zero problems with it. I have replaced the original tires and fuel filter as part of maintaince. It drives great especially on tight turns and it stops on a dime. The seating, wheels, black stripes, tachometer, shaker hood makes this car stand out well plus every Mach 1 is fully loaded so you dont have to worry about options. Overall this gives you 305hp and the car's value is about 14 grand give or take some which is the best bang for your buck if you want the power of a V8 without a big price tag. The only thing better than this in power is a 2011 GT

I'm the second owner of my Mach 1, and I've had it for nearly 6 years with very little trouble. The only thing I had to do to the engine, was changing out the thermostat housing after it sat in the garage all winter. Brakes are very expensive, due to its exclusive brake/suspension package, and they were tough for me to change, probably easy for somebody who does brakes a lot. The only big problem I had with her, was my transmission's overdrive going out twice. This was due to the 4:10 rear end that the previous owner had in it....luckily it was a warranty repair and only $100 out of my pocket. Other than that, it's the best handling stang ever made, and blows the doors off z28 and t/a's

I recently bought this as my first car. This is one of the most reliable Mustangs on the market with lots of great features. Good crash test ratings, good handling, good acceleration, good speed, and a lot of torque for such a small car! It is a lot of fun to drive and it handles very well as long as you have the right tires. The breaks are also very efficient; it can stop on a dime and still give you it's change back! This car is a lot of fun to drive, so definitely check it out if you're in the market for a new car.

Bought this car a year ago, and I love it! I put a cold air intake on it and since then the engine really sings (3,000rpm) and gets about 3 to 4 mpg better. Wouldn't trade my mustang for any other car way to much fun to drive. highly recommend it.

Bought this car in June 05 with 12k miles. Now has 115K miles. Mildly modded with CAI, exhaust, short shifter, MACH1 shocks, Ford C-Springs, white face gauges. Only repairs are front brake calipers (self-inflicted SCCA racing casualty) and alternator and battery...and four sets of tires. Consistently gets 25-26 mpg on highway. I want to get a new car but can't find anything that I like better than this one.

I actually have a 02 GT w/ a Cobra motor swap. This engine is powerful in the whole power band. Pushing 515RWHP 545RWT. It's not stock obviously, but still one of the best engines ever made in my opinion. And the fact it's a Ford. I have drove this car across the nation to many car shows and drag strip. Never broke down.

Oh yea - This car is a riot. I ran with the stock motor for about 6 months then had a custom tuned blown four valve motor installed. It cranks 630 RWHP. Looks like a stock GT. Needless to say I have a lot of fun leaving a lot of people in the dust.By the time they hear that supercharger whine they know they going to be looking at my tailights. How can you not love one of these cars. Rough and crude, pure American muscle.

I needed a rear drive, v8, stick shift car to drive everyday that I could stomp on allday everyday and still depend on it running all the time. This car has been awesome. Thought about a 2001-2004 vette (way too cheesy), early 2000 SS or z28 camaro (crappy tranny, rear-end, interior quality, overall looks) or a 2003-2004 cobra (bad-a$$ car but pricy) but the MACH seemed like the best value . ($14700, 22000 miles, lowered, tri-ax shifter, magnaflow exhaust) I have not been disappointed at all. The car really sings after 3500 rpm's, tranny has a steep 1st gear and a low low overdriven 5th (about 1900rpms at 75mph). Pick one up if you can

I've owned this car for a year now. The 5 speed manual transmission mixed with the V8 provides tons of fun. I have intake/exhaust/gears done to it. No it's not that fastest car out there but it beats every 4 cylinder that's tried and it keeps up with most other V8s. Nothing mechanically has gone wrong with this car. It's taken everything I've thrown at it. MPG was as low as 18 when I beat on it, but now I'm getting as much as 23 when I'm nicer to it. A great mix of daily driver dependability and V8 fun. My friend's Camaro (97 Z28) broke every other month, it's hard to find a fun V8 that is dependable but this car is one of them!

Bought my GT in 2006 w/23k on it in excellent condition. Now it has about 46k on the odometer. In three years I've replaced a tire (damaged) and a wheel bearing. The drivers door lock sticks, so I have to use the key. The transmission has a light squeal which goes away when you engage the clutch. Otherwise, it is reliable, very fun to drive, and gets good gas mileage. The five speed is fun but a little clunky/heavy to shift. The handling is good but understeers a little too much and the steering is a little slow.

I bought it used in 2004 with 29k miles on it. It is fun to drive, has decent gas mileage, (mostly drive it around town), and I have had only two repairs. The windshield washer pump went out shortly after purchase, but the dealer fixed it for free and the alternator had to be replaced in Nov. 2007. Other than that, it has been trouble free. My husband is 6'1" and feels very cramped when riding in it, but I'm 5'1" and it's great for me. Not made for 4 people to sit comfortably in it. Would recommend it to anyone looking for a sporty, good looking car at a reasonable price. The only Ford car I would buy! Both kids want it when I get tired of it, they might be in for a long wait....

Purchased the car over a year ago and I love every minute that I get to drive it. The car has 38000 miles, but I have only put on about 2000 since I bought it. I love the shaker hood scoop, and it still turns a lot of heads for a mustang. Don't really see too many of these where I live. Performance is outstanding (Low 5 sec. to 60 mph). Bought the car with a few modifications and it just flies. Heard these engines were very reliable, and haven't had any problems yet. Engines were rated at 305 hp, but I think it's more like 320. Looking forward to keeping this one for a long time.

Simply an awesome automobile. This is the 6th mustang ive owned (still have an 87 gt conv). I drive this car daily and have put 90k on it in 3 years. The ONLY thing thats ever been replaced is one set of tires!! The car is occasionally raced @ the dragstrip and drives 60 miles a day on the interstate. It is as still tight as the day i bought it, no squeaks, rattles, or anything, and on top of that, its lowered. The car is a silent predator. In stock trim (mine has been tuned and a few goodies here and there) a stock C6 vette cant stand it in an 8th mile race. You have to do a little tweaking and good driving to handle him in the quarter. Whoever did their homework @ Ford on this got a raise!

OK I've only had my license for 4 years but I've owned and test driven quite a few cars. By far this is the best and funnest car, for the price, I've ever had. So far all I have had to replace was the battery and the alternator which for me was super easy and took like 5 minutes total in labor. So far I have only put on a short shifter, BBK cold air intake, MAC off road mid-pipes, and an SLP loud mouth cat-back on it, but I hope to do more soon. The worst gas mileage I have ever gotten with this car was 18 mpg city and that's before the mods, which now I never see below 20 mpg city even if I race it and highway is at about 28 mpg being relatively nice to the throttle!

I have owned a Cobra since 02 and it is the fastest street car under 42K. I professionally race this car and drive it on the street. It will run the 1/4 mile in the high 10"s on a performance tune and run high 11's on a street tune. It is awesome on the highway. I was given the name ZO6 Killer because I beat so many ZO6's at the track. It cruises and tracks well. My tune reached 650+ RWHP on the dyno. I have had many cars and this car is one of my best. I also have two late model Mercedes, and a 07 Chevy Malibu. I know a good thing when I see it. The 03 SVT Cobra is one of the best ever for the money.

I have owned this Mustang GT Black Convertible since 2003. It has never broken down or given me any trouble. First had it in Germany and I could set the cruise control for 110mph and it would ride steady. Added a set of flowmasters and K&N air intake and it sounds amazing. Trunk space is very small. One time something was placed in the back window and I put the top down and the window shattered- so be careful putting anything by the back window. Gas mileage is fair- about 250 miles on a 14gal tank (about 18 MPG). I could ride it a little easier but who really does. Seat head rests are too low if you are 6ft tall and a little uncomfortable if you are tall. Little back seat space. Fun, fun, fun.

It's great. I got it before I graduated. However I did the mpg myself and I found mine only got 18 mpg in the city. That might just be my Mustang though. Compared to other sport cars that's good. The comfort is great, I feel more comfortable in it than other cars. The car has great control and feels like I'm going 20 when I'm going 60.

I drive for fun and use as a work car. The only problem I have had with the car is a noisy rear end which the dealer replaced under warranty within the first year. I am making about 500 rear wheel HP with pulley/chip, etc. I twisted a spline on the left half shaft at the drag strip with drag radials. That is the only problems I have had. This car is the most fun to drive, easiest to modify, and the most controllable car I have driven. It has never gotten out of control no matter how hard I drive it, wet or dry!

I have been driving this car since I entered college 3 years ago. Since then I have had to replace a seal on the transmission that left me stranded away from home with my car checked in at the dealership for 2 days and it has developed all kinds of rattles and sqweeks. For some reason Ford made the seats with so much side bolstering that the passenger seat is constantly rubbing against the door, which can become quite annoying on a 300 mile drive half way across Texas. While driving long distances the road noise can be quite tiresome, but around town this usually isn't a problem. Other than that I have no complaints the car runs well, is relatively quick and turns heads.

I love the ford Mustangs. I have had three different ones ranging from the 5.0 to the 2003. I can't keep from just looking at it and wanting to drive. I love the torque and the smoothness in the way it handles. I have had so may other sports cars want to race and my 'stang has never let me down. If you're looking for a car to look sweet in this is the one to have. I would recommend if you haven't driven a standard you need to learn. They have so much more power and the rumble it makes is too sweet.

Waited 30 years for the experience! I bought her brand new 5 years ago, never regreted a day. The mileage is fine for this kind of car. Just add on some simple bolt on parts and the power picks up even more. It is a premium GT Coupe, so the leather seats make it comfortable on long trips. It has been totally reliable...even the battery is still original. She is pampered..yes, but it takes all I dish out, the (Traction Control light) comes on a lot. That tells you how hard I can be. 25 miles highway, 20 around town. After all these years I love driving it everyday. We love it so much we also now own an 04 Mach1. Keep those new Camaros and Challengers coming out, they'll make a splash and disappear.

I just got this car last month, but from what I can see so far it's great. I'm 6ft 185 pounds, and I fit just fine in it, I don't even need the seat all the way back, and 4 people can fit in it, just so long as they aren't huge. I get 20mpg average... and that's with getting on it a few times a day.

The re-issue of the Mach 1 Mustang is an excellent performance value for the money. This car has a tremendous amount of low end torque and easily runs the quarter mile in high 13 second range without any modifications, just as from the factory. The Mach has a distinctive muscle car exhaust note that is reminiscent of big block cars from the 60's. One drawback is the interior, which could have been done up with better quality. Fuel tank is relatively small (15 gallons) and requires frequent re-filling , especially if the car is driven hard.

I received my Mustang for my first car and I have loved driving it for the past three years. It turns heads, provides the get up and go needed for passing on the interstate and has decent milage for a sports car (averages 20mpg in town and on the highway). I have never had even the slightest problem with the reliability of this vehicle. The only thing that concerns me is that it is totally a warm weather vehicle, in the midwest where we can get a few feet of snow at a time, the RWD and light overall weight of the car just is not safe enough even in town on snow-packed streets. Also, for long drives, even my young back begins to hurt. Even with these criticisms, I still love my Mustang.

I'm biased because I'm a Mustang lover. For all those people disliking the comfort, interior design, and fuel mileage go buy an import. This is not an issue for the real men who drive Mustangs. The interior design is a bit bland but to be honest it doesn't matter with me. This car is so underestimated out there in the high hp car world. Probably because now it's kinda rare since they were only produced for 2 years. Best car I've ever owned.

I had always wanted a GT, so when they were running some rebates I went for it. No regrets since. The only problem I've had with it is a nut coming loose on one of the top drive cylinders which I was able to fix myself. I can't get enough of the power and sound even in stock form. After leaving it with my Dad for a year while I was overseas, I wasn't out of the driveway before I said to myself, "This is a fast car!" I also think it's better looking than the new one, but that's just me. It's no wonder Chevy couldn't sell Camaros, the Mustang is just about perfect. No frills, just fun.

I've owned this black 2003 Cobra convertible for about 8 months. I haven't had any problems. Since moving to Florida, I was looking for a convertible. The car shakes a little (probably because it's a convertible). It has plenty of power, but feels HEAVY. The stock exhaust is too quiet.

My wife loves her minivan and didn't understand why I wanted a sports car, but now she's feelin' it. I'm in my 30s and didn't want another commuter vehicle; I wanted something different. The Mustang suits me very well. If you're looking for more refinement, try the '05.

This car has standard bad traits of "performance" cars that are normally forgivable - poor gas mileage, high insurance premiums, etc. Even the severely minimalist interior (ie., cheap and uninspired) was explained away as being for the "serious" performance enthusiast. Three years after purchase, I'm still waiting for my car to perform. It has no power in first gear - which is fairly important in city driving as you often don't get a chance to shift up before you're cut off. Gunning it to get high rpms looks kind of stupid in heavy traffic. This vehicle has also developed some suspicious rattles during its limited 4700 miles, including weird A/C noises. Maybe it's a lemon.

Bought this car Aug '02 before any pictures were available of the hood that was different from earlier models. Was pleasantly surprised with the 'newer' hood style (similar to 99 Cobra). Had a horrible howling noise from the rear end in less than 5000 miles which was replaced. I got the Dark Shadow Grey exterior which is the absolute prettiest color on a sunny day, and the absolute plainest color on a cloudy day. I put on a cat-back dual exhaust from Kenny Brown performance which adds a couple HP, deeper exhaust note and dresses up the rear with the nice polished SS tips. I also slapped on the Mach1 chin spoiler which gives it a nice front end appearance.

Nothing has broken. I change my oil regularly and service my air filter when necessary. I get great performance for my uses. I'm a college student, and driving home on the holidays is such a joy in my Mustang. I think its a GREAT car for anyone. Mine is black, so it has definitely forced me to learn about proper car care and I'm glad for it. I thought some long term appraisal was in order. Engine, clutch, transmission, drivetrain all holding up well considering my driving. Clutch is still stiff but my g/f doesn't complain a bit. It's somewhat unrefined but you can get decent gas mileage if you choose. It rides decent especially at 70, the seats are tight, they got better but they hold you in the corners. You can idle around town all day; just a regular car so it seems. It's a Mustang people with a great engine, pretty good drivetrain. You want to go fast cheap? This is it. You want old big engine performance? You got it with especially with a few mods. Get 26 mpg on highway or see the gas gauge go down. Your choice. I like choices.

I've had my 2003 Ford Mustang Convertible for a couple of months and I am having such fun! When the top is down it turns everyone's head. It has no fear of increased speed and is a dream to drive in the hills and on long trips to the ocean. It's just perfection. It had an exhaust leak when I purchased it -- though it wasn't detected by the dealership's "top-notch" service team. The local oil-changing place heard it and the dealership had it repaired. Apparently it is a recall or it is just a common problem. Other than that it's been the most fun I've had since I gave up the keys to my minivan. LOL

I love the Mustang, but they need to build them better. My car looks great, especially with the chrome wheels. It's fast, handles great, but it does eat gas, which I guess is to be expected. And my car has problems starting once in a while when I start and stop it several times. It doesn't have that instant start that it should. Stereo is great and I love the 6 disc CD. The leather could be nicer, and it gets to be a little uncomfortable driving after a while. I think they should offer more options like heated seats or heads up display or something. The seat belts are no fun for the driver and passenger. It never retracts well and its always getting stuck.

The car is built very well. The convertible is a little more "bouncy" than that of the Vette's, but the trade off for me was having the back seats for my kids. This is a very fast, fun, safe, family performance car as I like to say. One doesn't realize the true performance until you get the RPM's up around 4500, then the car is a monster. I was a Chevy guy, but for the price the Cobra was a far better buy for me. Over 400 hp for under $35,000, and an open top; find a better deal.

Great car for commuting and medium distance trips. Trunk is surprising large and you have even more room if you drop the rear seats. Added a Flowpath chambered muffler and twin tip extension to give it a little better sound. The V-6 has good power, runs well. The 193 net hp V6 is close to the net hp rating of the 1965's 289 HI-PO model. ( 270 gross hp ). Given an much better auto transmission in the 2003, 0-60 times are actually one second better. It's given me NO problems whatsoever and my family members constantly beg me to drive it. It's a V6, but feels like a V8 and is truly a pleasure to drive, even in Southern Cal traffic!

Most fun I have had driving a car. Since the wife got the minivan for her and our three children, I wanted a car for me. This fits the bill perfectly! Fun to drive, exhaust note is exhilarating, performance is outstanding and it has the potential to do so much more!

I found my Cobra in June, 2004 after she was a showroom princess for over a year. Not only is the 2003 supercharged Cobra all the reviews say they are, they're off the scale in fun to drive. I've added a Bassani exhaust system (headers/H-pipe w/catback, 4" tips), K&N air filter, 2.8" supercharger pulley and Xcalibrator chip and now pull a true 428 rwhp. It's hard to get this in any other vehicle comparitably priced, and yes, my friends, it is a Ford. This car garners as much attention as my Harley does, and it's show quality. Nice job, Blue Oval.

Not so impressed....

Well, after owning 3 Stangs prior to this one I had high expectations. It's best described as a love-hate relationship. I love the car, the power and the road respect you get from simply owning a Cobra but I HATE to drive it. The seat is a little too bolstered (I am only a 6', 190lb guy), the clutch is so stiff it gives my leg an occasional cramp and the shifter is clunky and difficult to reach. It's a shame, so much effort went into performance which was way overdue...but didn't put any effort into the ergonomics. Is it too much to ask for power and comfort? Oh, and the paint sucks. Already had in in the paint booth 3 times fixing factory crap.I guess so. Hope they do better in 2007

The heritage lives on. What a wonderful American sports car that combines affordabilty with performance. The GT achieves a 0-60 time in 5.6 seconds and does with style. The premium package is a bargain to add to the GT car. If you're in the market for a fun to drive, reliable and affordable muscle car, this is your ride.

My '03 convertible has justified the term Fix Or Repair Daily. Without warning, the car will turn-off as I am driving. Mind you, it's in gear at the time. Of course, the steering wheel locks and I loose power-assist braking. Let's just say "VERY SCARY". It's already had the alternator replaced at my local dealership and continues to do the same. They obviously don't know how to fix it, but it's going back in tomorrow for the 3rd time. Linear acceleration is great, but don't even get me started on the tranny/clutch. My service advisors say that they are aware of the "chatter" that emanates from the tranny/clutch, but can only say it's "supposed to do

It was the end of the year (2003) and I needed a new car. I went shopping without any particular model in mind and ended up with this Mustang GT Coupe. At age 55 I must say this is the most fun I've had for decades. I've been driving those 4-cylinder, gas-saving imports for way too long. The Mustang is sheer fun with great performance. The mileage is as good as my wife's Grand Cherokee straight six, when I keep my foot out of it. It cruises beautifully in the 75-80mph range which makes it tough out here in California with so many 55mph two-lane stretches.

Unfortunately, I would recommend against purchasing this car. The transmission has been serviced 6 times since purchase and the convertible top, twice. The car left me on the road the second day I had it. To make matters worse, Don Bohn Ford refused to repair the car. Currently, the car is pending replacement from the Ford Arbitration board and I may have to seek an attorney to replace it.

I had issues with the A/C not working. It was under warranty so FMC fixed it. However, there was some mumbling at the dealership about seeing Mustangs coming back with similar issues with the A/C. Go figure. Gas mileage is poor, but you don't drive this car to save gas.

I have had my car for a year & still love driving it every chance I get. I wouldn't trade it for any other ragtop out there. The ride is a little choppy at times, but that adds to the sports car feel. It gets great gas mileage on the highway for a V8 (23-24), much better than around town (16-18) so of course I take it out on the highway any chance I get. It looks great & draws attention everywhere it goes. Who can't resist a bright red Mustang ragtop?

If You want a real "MUSCLE CAR" the Mustang GT is the way to go. There is no pussy-footing around in this beast. Put be prepared to drive.... This is no V6 passanger style. The GT has a rugged suspention so as to feel the road and the power that the car holds. It's Bullish apearance mimics the muscle beneath the hood. Old fasion power when you hit the excelorater and a new tight handling that reins far above the squirrly handling of the V6. Do not try to compare the beast to the puppy. They are not in the same class. Piorities for purchasing are: Looking "HOT" Driving like you mean it and simple quality at its finest. And the sound system Rocks!

I have a 10th Anniversary Edition with the all leather seats and red inserts. (prefer this over the fake suede) With only around $1,500 in mods ( Exhaust, pulley, chip,CAI,shifter) it puts down 450RWHP ~500 at the motor. The stock Goodyear F1's are useless, Drag radials are a must. With Nitto 315 555r's was able to run the 1/4 in 11.89 at 120.1mph with a mediocre 1.89 60ft. This car has some pull, anything below 50mph on street tires is gonna go up in smoke. If your looking for more performance than this slap on a Kenne Bell or Whipple and push over 625rwhp on the stock long block its fully forged to handle up to 700hp.

Other than expected chassis flex this has been a zero defect car.Standard radio/6 CD changer is very good even at freeway speeds with the top down. Top fits much better than my 1986 GT Conv. There is very little tire road inside the cabin -- even less than a friend's 2004 Accord. Surprisingly quiet ride with top up. Fuel economy (18.4 mpg) is nothing to brag about but then my foot can be very heavy at times. At least it uses 89 octane. It is not as fast as my WRX but then "chicks dig it." If this is an example of current Ford quality then I can recommend it wholeheartedly!

Ford underrates the power of these cars! - Great power - Good handling - Great engine - Backseats - Good amount of trunk space (seats fold down) Where else can you get a car with well over 400 horsepower for under $34K?

Its simple yet stylish interior lets you focus on what your there to (drive) not play with you navigation system or you duel heating zone controls. We bought this car used from a local dealer with only 7300 miles on it. The engine is in great condition and the interior is like new. The overall performance and look of this car is just excellent to us. I cannot tell you how many looks we get from people at intersections and on the highway. I am tempted to start a tally. We have the standard Mustang with Deluxe and Pony options so it does not look like any of the other Mustangs in my area. A real head turner. The handling is just wonderful on it. This car is falling apart cosmetically. The passenger side seat sits against the door and ford does not know how to repair it. The leather rubs against the door panel and is quite annoying. This is an excellent car in the tradition of American ponycars. It has outrageous power, and I have been pleasantly surprised with the way it handles. I autocross, and it has been consistently faster and better handling than my 1999 Cobra even though that car had many more modifications to the suspension. Took it to the drag track, and ran low 13's with very poor driving spinning the tires down 3/4th of the track.

Great power and looks. I love driving this car. I would agree that the Mach 1000 sound system would be a good addition but the 460 is nice too. I usually drive with the stereo off so I can hear the throaty engine. Very disappointed in the CHEAP plastic they used for the interior though. It's as if they just ran out of money when designing the door panels, dash, and the center console. I've had some initial problems and am still having them but all in all, the car is great.

After driving SUV's and sedans for over 15 years and reaching close to 40 and enjoying my Camaro in 1994, I wanted to go back to an inexpensive sport vehicle. I Love the ride and comments about my mustang and my 17 year old daughter loves to practice her driving in it also.

Fun to drive. Handling is crisp and responsive. Power is unbelievably raw. Shifting is a tricky with the location of the overdrive. Visability is superb. Would have been great if there had been a hatch like my 74 Mach I. Drivers power seat takes a lot of adjustment to get it in a position that feels comfortable. When tilting the front of the seat up it lifts the entire seat. 6 CD stereo is dynamite, as is the throaty groan from the exhaust.

Awesome car. Dont stop making them!

Back seats are fine. The mach 460 sound system is amazing. All it needs is an American flag on the back.

The Cobra can be just another car or step on the hammer and take off like a rocket. It even sounds like one (Supercharger).Don't waste time comparing it to another car. The '03 Cobra's top speed is governed at 155mph (170+ w/out it). Compare it to a Cessna: seats 4 & it does 160mph...on land. Cobra's traction control switch is fun.Keep it on and it behaves somewhat civilized. Turn it off and wheels spin, smoke comes out of the tires. Also a locking differential (if wheel spins torque is sent to the wheel w traction). The snake unlike a roadster lets you take the kids/dog along for a ride. And taking rides you will:To go get bread or milk (next town over)

Lots of fun for your dollar. The fit and finish are questionable, the seating position is too high, the seats themselves are absurdly uncomforable. On the plus side, the handling is good, and the mileage is respectable for a V-8. The combination of V-8 Power, plus a five-speed manual and rear wheel drive can't be beaten, especially given the price. If you like an old-school ride with modern reliability and amenities this car is for you. One word of advice: drive a Mach 1 before signing on the line. The Mach 1 addresses nearly every gripe I have with the GT.

I always wanted one since highschool. Now in my 30's I finally got one. Tradition and Realability is the reason why I bought one. If you want power on the road, get one. If you want others to see who is driving next to them at a stop light, get one. If your tired of paying crazy money for a simple tune-up or maintanence for your foreign car, get one. If you want style, elagance, and very expensive car, get a Mercedes or a Jaguar. My past cars were all foreign- Mercedes, Jaguar, Acura, Maxima, and a Jetta. This is my first American Car and baby, I love it!

This month, I bought a 2003 Mustang. It has been a great first car. I have recieved many comments on it from the first day I bought it. The only problems I have had with it were minor. The first being that the car locked itself while I had it in park and the engine on. The second was that I had a defective rear defroster switch. Otherwise, it has been a great car, which I would highly recommend.

I went into the dealership with a fixed price on my mind. (the invoice) I was able to get the actual invoice price from the internet. With that and the offer of $3000 I was able to get this beauty for 20,000 total financed. (360/month) The car was actually for my Wofe who just got a new job and I had promised her a new car, especially the Mustang since that is what she always wanted. She loves it, I love it, its fun to drive and has enough power to show off (sparingly) on the highway. I would recommend this honey to anyone, especially for those car enthusiasts.

Got a deal I couldn't pass up; a new 2003 Mach 1 in Azure Blue, 5 Speed with the IUP for $23,500 before tax and license. Love the look of the car and the engine. The only thing I really don't like is the interior; it's pretty cheap looking except the leather seats which are comfortable and supportive. Nothing like the shaker hood! The Cobra is significantly faster, but to me, it doesn't look as sharp.

The modability of this car makes it the best pick for a high performance daily driver. For only a few hundred dollars (cold air intake, exhaust) you can make over 40-50 HP in power improvements. About $500 will get you a supercharger pulley and tune which can net well over 100HP added to the rear wheels of the car. The stock forged internals of the motor have proven to be reliable to 700+HP. Great car to tinker with. See SVTPerformance or Modularfords for forums and articles on modding. :)

I traded in a new 2003 Turbo Beetle for this vehicle. I do not regret doing so! Nice interior and I love the basket leather and styling. It is a rocket! The blue color attracts much attention. I constantly have people approach asking about this car. It is cool too that it only will take the good stuff for gas. It would get it anyway! 25 miles per gallon on the freeway is not bad for a muscle car like this. The shaker hood is too cool and makes the car. I was considering the cobra but the Mach 1 looks better and is fast enough for the street. Especially with this color. Ford, keep this blue color exclusive to the Mach 1!!

nothing more fun to drive on a sunny afternoon or cruisin on a saturday night.midnight black, shiny like a quiet pond, what looks better?although the engineers missed the boat on the speed controlled volume control for the radio. the suspension has come a long way, better handling, great body styling, and affordable.

If you're in the market for a new Mustang get the GT. The additional money spent is well worth it. The car's ride is smooth. Those that say it isn't must have gone from an Accord to a Mustang. I traded in a 2002 Explorer Sport and the ride quality is much better in the Mustang. Passing in traffic is nothing less than confident. Where else can you spend around 24-25K and get a kick-in-the- pants acceleration. Plus, the aftermarket parts choices are near endless. A supercharger, exhaust and some cosmetic work will be done in the future.

Why pay 50k, or 60K, or 70K-80K for the type of performance Ford sells for 34K- 38K. With a blistering 4.6 second launch from 0-60 you will be hard pressed not to grin all the way to where ever you are going. The Mustang is an American Legend and the 03 Cobra is the best Mustang built to date. Pure fun and comfort. Don't spend twice as much and get lack luster performance. A six speed supercharged 390 hp car with a factory warrenty is unbelieveable. Nothing Moves Like a Mustang :-)

Love the car, but after only 318 miles, had to put a new motor in the car. Car was pampered and not driven hard for these 318 miles. The timing slipped and ruined the motor. Now it is not "orginal". Ford did not do anything to help me with this. I bought this car to sit on, now I feel the future value of the car has been diminished because it is not "original".

This is simply the most satisfying car I've ever driven. It's hard to believe how much performance for the dollar you get with this car and I can take my family out to enjoy a cruise with the top down. There isn't another car that can do what this car does for less than twice the cost.

This car was fun to drive stock, but I needed more. After a few "inexpensive" MODS it is now really fun to drive. Add on's include Magna-Flow Cat back exhaust, Steeda Under-Drive pulleys, Steeda Tri-Axe short throw shifter, C&L 85mm MAF with TrueFlow intake pipe, K&N air filter. 3.73 Ford Performance gear in the rear- end. These were only a 1,500$ investment and really woke up my GT!

This excellent car is a huge step up from the 1993 GT I owned previously. It is far more refined and much more of an adult car. The handling and power are smoother, the power band broader, the breaking much better, and the manners are calmer. Also, the 1999-up cars have probably the first decent leather seats in the history of Mustangs.

I had a 99 GT and loved every minute of driving and owning it until I saw a Torch Red Mach 1 roll off the truck and I had to have it. Kudos to Ford for actually making the shaker hood functional. Too often all we see is this cosmetic inserts in the hood and side scoops which leave you asking why? This car is incredible. The power is great and the retro features aren't overdone, but a nice touch. If you're one who likes to turns heads on the street, this car is a great buy.

Only a shock swap that had to be done cause of the quality NYC roads we have here (yea right) Besides that, cars doing great, especially after a K&N oil filter. The motorcraft was fine, but, I suggest avioding FRAM. Made it feel sugglish after only 1000 miles after I changed the oil. Can definately feel a difference when using the K&N one.

IT had the looks from the exterior point of view, but the interior needs some work. Overall, its a great car, spent a bit more then i would of liked, because it was leather. But, it gives you the noise a sport car has, but maybe too loud. Fuel is going to be a problem on this car.

bought my cobra used with 4600 miles. had the drivers side head replaced under warranty at 5700 due to valve guide wear. ford has a TSB for this issue. you can tell if a cobra has the problem by listening for a tick that is present during idle. it is NOT injector noise but a moderately loud ticking. anyway its fixed and i like the car for what it is, but dont listen to these other reviews saying it will dust a z06 because it wont, not stock anyway. these cars are also very heavy and hard to launch out of the hole.

It is a beautiful car, I get lots of looks from people on the road. It handles very well, is quick and peppy, I would definitely reccomend the 5 speed manual transmission in a 6 cylinder.

This machine will blow the doors off of just about anything on the road, short of a Ferrarri. With very minor modifications, the robust cast iron V8 block will take a significant amount of more boost. A smaller pulley, free flowing cat back exhaust system, and new air filter will have this pony up around 500 HP. My only complaints are the shoddy trim quality and dated design of the interior, and the "blender-like" whine of the supercharger. Overall, a very fun vehicle to drive and it's certainly a head turner. Ford has grossly under stated it's horsepower at 390 HP, which is actually near 430 HP.

Great car especially when you live in Southern California and drive with the top down most of the year! Love the way it handles, although I wish the GT suspension wasn't as hard riding...especially over country roads. Some minor rattles, but this is a convertible. A real plus is that the V-8 engine uses regular fuel! That is a big savings just in itself! Would definitely buy another down the road!

I love all convertibles, but nothing carries the pizzaz of a Stang Convertible. Ours is a Redfire Metallic with two tone leather interior. Big V8 with a savvy 5 speed transmission. Plenty of power, but more importantly, it's distinctly American and a hoot to drive. At the Sonic, everybody, and I mean everybody, looks at this car, not the other so- called convertibles. Ok, for car of reasonable price I cannot believe it got such a low rating. I've driven almost all the other cars on the "top ten" list including the Audi TT, S2000, Miata, Boxter and the M3 and I own a 2003 SVT Cobra. If you're basing your rate on the 2001 SVT Cobra that might be why it's low. There is a 70 horsepower difference and a different tranny. I got my Cobra up to 173 MPH and it was smooth. It takes corners like nothing and the audio system rocks! I added two subs but stock is great! It has awesome resposive acceleration, handling, and a bunch of power. More horses then any of the other car on the list.

Good lookin', great sound system in the Mach 1000. As an Old Guy, I love to pull up next to the kids and crank up the base. Fun to drive. Mine came with a manual transmission glitch that, apparently, is fairly common - grinding from 1st to 2nd gear. The mechanics won't acknowledge this, but I've read it on 'stang forums. This needs to be addressed and corrected.

I love the car. I mean, its my 4th mustang. Teehee. The sound system definitly improved. The comfort level, I am not so excited on. The back seats are so small either make it bigger or just get rid of them all together. The car gets almost 300 to a tank, if you let it run super low. Driving it though is fun. It handles well. Over all I like the car. The a/c doesnt blow that well either. I would recommend it to someone if they wanted a sporty car that handles well, and inexpensive too.

This is one of the nicest looking small coupes on the market. Enough power with the V6 to satisfy most drivers. Suspension's a bit rough but was to be expected. Gotta go with leather seating surfaces to increase comfort. Great gas mileage. Sound system won't get cranked up beyond level 4, unless you want to lose your hearing. Like the speed/volume adjustment. Limited storage space, but the fold-down rear seats give you more versatility. Cup holders are exactly where you need them and no fancy opening or fold-out functions that complicate matters. Handles real well and small enough to park just about anywhere.

Call it a mid life crisis, but after two family sedans and an SUV, it was time to return to a sports car. I had owned a 'Vette in my younger days, but marriage and a family brought changes to my lifestyle. Now that they are nearly grown, my hands yearned to grasp the wheel of a sports car. Not quiet being able to afford a 'Vette and still having two kids currently at home, the Ford Mustang GT convertible was my choice.

Handles like its on rails. The Independant rear suspension makes all the difference in the world when it comes to the corners at 100mph plus speeds on the track. We wouldn't even think of driving it at that speed around town. . Fit and finish very good for a Ford mustang. Engine a trans (6 speed) work a lot better with aftermarket shifter. $159.00 upgrade. Well worth the money spent.

I've had my 2000 Mustang Convt for one year now. It's a fun car to drive. I love having a convertible. Great exterior design, but again interior design. Lots of aftermarket accessories available. The car itself gives me a mediocre driving impression. Strong V6 though. However, it has poor wet weather traction. I would recommend it to someone who like a an affordable, fun, nice looking couple/convertible.

Smoking my tires as I left the dealership I felt no regret whatsoever purchasing the dream car. It comes stock with a beautiful body but the exhaust did need some help so I put flowmasters on it. The sound system was great and the MP3 was very nice :o)~ I do encourage SVT to make it standard or an option to have the Mach 1000 in the Cobra as opposed to standard Mach 460 (which is still very nice).

This is my second Mustang. I traded my 1999 GT for this Stang and although I regretted getting rid of it, I couldn't resist this MACH I. This Hoss likes to run. The ride is much improved, quieter, and the bigger brakes and traction control really improves handling. The shaker hood and low V8 rumble turns a lot of heads. This car has a "Don't mess with me" kind of look to it. The only problems I've found was a non- functional windshield washer pump and a cracked headlamp cover, which were promptly replaced my local ford dealership.

The 2003 mustang has everything in one package: comfort, thretening POWER, and evil looks! The 5 speed manual shifts nicely, although the clutch travel is long. The car rides smoothly and quietly on the 17' rims and hugs the road. Convienience is OK with a few places to store change and so on, but the glove box is small even to store the owners manual in or CD cases for the 6 disk changer. The 4.6 liter V8 is awesome with great power and pick up.Anyone who thinks they can take it on with just a proformance muffler on a 4 banger is in for an embarassing suprise!! Care is easy, with not many places for the wash cloth to get stuck in when washing.

This car is fast whenever you want it to be, yet save fuel when needed. handels well, 17" goodyears do a good job looks like a monster, awsome. The interior is out dated, no oh s___ handels. no lights in the vanity, seats are from 1985 & the head light switch is from a 1978 buick regal. but the car is responsive & mach460 audio is great. The car is a ton of fun overall.

I just got my new 2003 Mustang GT Premium. It is awesome. It is a triple black convertable. It has every option and what options they are...it has the Mach 1000 6 disc in dash and what a system...it is well worth the $1300.00 for the option. It is so loud. The exhaust is excellent as well it has chrome exhaust that matches the 17 inch chrome rims. It sounds great...who needs a flow master when you have this car. Although I have only had it for 2 days...I am in love....it is my first Mustang and in 2 years from now if it is still awesome and no rattles....I would definately consider another one. totally satisfied so far.

Purchased a 2k3 cobra with 1156 miles. From day one had nothing but problems. First Ford had to replace the third member in the rear end. Car constantly pulls to the right. Now the car has another vibration, not as bad before the third member was replaced, and a annoying reverd sound either from the engine or tranny. I've had the car for two months now and it has been to the shop (ford service) 5 times. I'm just about ready to let the car go back.

After a 2000 LX convert, I recenty got a brand new GT convertible, B-B-B - got a great deal over the web. I still wish there was abit more effort put into the interior design the leather seats are far more comfortable than the cloth ones I had. The difference between the 190 HP 3.8 and the 260 HP 4.6 is very nice. The car handles incredibly well right out of the factory - the feel of the LX and the GT canno be compared; I hate to say it but the LX handles more like the tyoical US car, even with rear- wheeel drive. The GT truly "handles the road." I love my little Pony car, there's nothing else like it available for the money today. It is a legend.

I have owned 2 Mustangs, a 00 V6 which had no problems, and a 01 GT which was towed 7 times (in 1.5 years), had the T45 trans replaced (trans seized at 50, which shattered the clutch. It felt like I'd jammed the brakes on at max strength, I'm lucky I wasnt in traffic. Warranty was denied cost me 4500), the car refused to start 5 times (in 4 of the cases the engine wasnt turning over, battery only died once), torque converter failed, a fuel pump gave out, brakes (disks) needed to be replaced. Also note the steering wheel can lock in such a way that a pin blocks the key from turning, if this happens to you try turning the steering wheel until it lets you turn the key.

Great car to look at---fun to drive as well. Lots of power, even on the v6. I have to say that there is one major issue, and it involves the cupholders. They are placed in a horrible spot--behind the gear shifter. So every time you go to change gears, your arm/elbow smacks the cup. I don't know how ford let this one fly.

I'm 43 and this is my second Mustang. First one, I bought new in 1981, and it was a tragedy from day one. This 03 car, although just the base model, has plenty of punch for my purposes. Yes, I'd have liked the V8, but I have a perfect driving record in spite and the big engine would inevitably put points on my record. I'm 6-2 and 220, but the car has plenty of leg room. I do have to pop the steering wheel up to get my legs under it, but once in, it's really comfortable. The car hit 110mph over the weekend-- on a track, of course!--with no problem. Best part is, I got it NEW for less than 13 grand with a 4.7 interest rate. All in all, quite happy.

This Mustang body style is my favorite of the last 30 years. I can't stop just staring at the car. I was going to buy a truck, then a VW, but I decided to test drive the GT, and I was hooked. For the price, you can't get any better pony car anymore. With lots of aftermarket goodies, you can easily make one of these 300hp+, which is good enough for me for a daily driver.

You can't buy a faster machine for less money. You can't find a machine with as much hidden potential for twice the price. Mine has 375 hp at rear wheels totally stock. Thats approximatly 440 hp at the flywheel. Add a chip and a smaller blower pulley with a cat back exhaust and a cool air intake kit (less than $1000 bucks if you do it yourself), and 475 hp at the rear wheels is easy.

Where else could I go for a sporty car with a V8, manual transmission and rear wheel drive, all for under $25K? The engine performance is great, needs better suspension. $6 grand for a Griggs suspension looks like the most effective fix available. The seats leave much room for improvement. Uncomfortable on long trips, virtually zero side support, and being leather occupants slide around when cornering. I'm 6' tall and have to drive with the seat all the way back, and the back of the seat to its furthest back position. Power seat is not very adjustable, seatback position is manual.

When I first bought the car I was deciding between the Mach 1 or the 03 Cobra. I chose the Mach 1 mainly because of the lower cost and I liked the fact that it was non-supercharged. I love this car and am extremely glad I bought it. It can easily eat up any camaro and with a little work corvettes too. I havn't ran it on the track yet so I am not sure of what it runs number wise.

This car is the best to drive. You mash the throttle at any RPM and the car just launches you forward and you GO! The comfort and ergonomics of the interior seats are great. I wish they were a little further back, but hey. The rush you will recieve when you drive this car is unbelievable. I would recommend this car to anyone that doesn't mind the 15mpg but loves the 390hp and 390ft/lbs of torque on tap. The car is easily modified also. There are owners out there as of Jan '03 that are pushing 500+hp from the stock motor. The car was made to handle the power and it sure does.

I've owned several mustangs over the years and like most have been in most other sports/gt cars. The SVT team has outdone themselves this time. Not the easiest to drive at first as the clutch is very heavy and the stick a bit tricky - especially from 2nd to 3rd. Nothing a few more reps in the gym wont cure. This car is a looker, a performer and far and away the best bang-for-your- buck there is. My only complaint - I lost a side scoop one week after buying it...but ford replaced it in a week. They are attached with cheap - and i mean cheap - plastic slots.

The bad. Ergonomics. Headrest isn't there. Shifter too far. Car is way too high in terms of springs. Interior design dates back to 94. Maybe this happens to just my car but you can hear an air leak on the drivers side in freeway speeds. Squeeky rear suspension. Dealer can't figure out what is causing it. The good. The power and handling is pretty good. Lots of fair price aftermarket modifications for it. The exterior design looks very muscular. Too bad for the 2005. Looks like the t- bird route.

The 2003 Cobra is a real muscle car but handles better. My HP is higher than advertised. The car's a blast to drive. It runs to 55 in 1st, 85 in 2nd. Torque curve is so high and flat that the car pulls like a freight train. Mine tested at >320 ft-lbs of torque at the rear wheels from 1900 to 6200 rpm, topping out at 373 (410+ @ engine). The top and windows can be down up to 65 with comfort and with the windows up to 100. The rear wheels do hop instead of sliding when you push it too hard in low gears with cold or wet tires. Traction control is very good and makes driving on wet roads easy.

I can honestly say that I will never purchase a GM product again. The performance, options and quality that Ford has built into these vehicles is unbelievable. I've already added a pro 5.0 shifter, bullit s.s. pedals, roush cold air and flow mufflers. The true duals really like to irritate the neighbors too. Love pulling up to the ricers sounding like weed eaters and opening up a can of v8. My insurance is less than a 4cyl celica, gas mileage averages around 19/20 combo. Love this car and plan on keeping this one for a very long time. Previous car 96 TA

This is the best car I have ever owned. Ford really got it right, they kept the best attributes of the original Mustangs and melded it with many of the benefits of modern technology. This car is fun to drive, great looking, a tribute to American engineering and automotive design. If you want a rear wheel drive muscle car, this is superb car at a very reasonable price.

Great car. Ford has done it again 390hp/390ftlb! I'm glad to see that they brought the Mustang back to supercar status. With a few mods you can have a car that will burn up any old Z06, and saving yourself at LEAST $10,000! Not to mention there is no electronic steering column lock to short out(Like the ones on all of the Corvettes)! (That means you can start your car, but you can't turn the wheel.) My buddy has had 3 replaced! The Cobra will take any turn you throw at it thanks to its 9" wide Goodyear Tires. Buy a Ford, support your country!

Picked up my Cobra yesterday. Put about 100 miles on it so far. Drivers seat is nice. Tons of adjusment controls (passenger side doesn't have the controls). Incredible acceleration, even in fifth gear. The engine is not too load either unless you trigger the supercharger. The supercharger makes the car sound like a jet airplane. Trunk mounted amplifiers are nice. Instrument panel tells you the pounds of pressure the supercharger is producing, which is cool. Sonic blue looks great at night. The chrome exhaust pipes are very wide and add a lot of character. This car is definately a keeper.

Ford built this one right. I owned a 1994 Mustang Gt Conv. for the last 8 years. Everything that I would do different on my old car Ford fixed on this one. Awesome car! The performance is outstanding. I drove it 250 miles in the first evening I owned it. If you are on the fence, get off and go buy one now!

The SVT Cobra is definitely "Deceptively Fast." There's no caucophony in the cabin to suggest your extra-legal velocity. And how they got a 3700 car to handle so nimbly is amazing. The Cobra is surprisingly "tossable.". The downside to the Cobra is that it is a $16,000 car with a fabulous driveline and suspension. The interior doesn't scream quality. But for $34,750 (if you can find one at that price), the performance this car delivers is well worth every penny!

This "dog" is powerful yet obedient, old yet fun, full of attitude yet still civilized enough to handle on a daily basis. Ford’s SVT finally has the complete pkg. by tweaking this 25+ year old chassis to handle the new power with composure. These new adjustments allow the aging Mustang to be very competitive even with today's more expensive sports cars (I.E. Corvette or dare I say Viper) The new seats have high bolstering w/suede inserts that not only look great, but are quite comfortable, yet still functional for spirited driving though all six speeds… need I say more? Don't wait any longer; this "Old Dog" is well-trained and ready to play!

Ford finally put the "muscle" back in the muscle car. The acceleration is awesome, when the supercharger lights up you better hold on. When crusin you get the benefit of the progressive springs and think you are in luxury car. Drop down a gear or two and punch it and instantly you are in a race car. Dosen't get any better. Thanks Ford, pride in ownership just went up to a "10".

The Cobra is FAST. Handling is typical for American sports cars. If you are over 6 foot, You'll be aching in the Cobra, due to the visibilty or lack there of and the leg room........... as you will with all Mustang models. The stick is stiff and the 390HP will seem unbeatable unless you decide to go against a Vet. Stick with the GT or Mack 1 model until the Cobra gets to 420HP or higher.

It's frightenlingly quick! Excellent acceleration with handling and braking to match. Congratulations to SVT for providing the "average Joe" with an affordable performance car that can go toe to toe with the likes of BMW's fabulous M3. It's great knowing I have NOTHING TO PROVE. There are but two American "production" automobiles that can out perform my Cobra. They are the Viper and Corvette Z06. Both outstanding cars that deserve every accolade accorded them. In the "Bang for the Buck" catagory, however, my Cobra beats them both, handily.

I read all the stories about this car before actually driving it and I have to say they can't come close to the exhilaration felt when accelerating. I've owned everything from a 70 Boss Mustang to Chevelle SS and Trans Am, but this car is just plain muscle. When thrown in with the creature comforts of A/C, Mach Stereo and CD player, it's just as much fun as anyone could hope for. I've even owned a 2001 Z06. It was a nice car as well, but it's a different feeling when you get behind the wheel of the Cobra. SVT finally got it right folks. I applaud their efforts.

I was looking for a weekend toy, really an excuse to buy a 3rd vehicle. With the SUVs in the driveway, we wanted something a little more fun to drive. We priced and test drove the European convertibles such as BMW, Volvo,Saab and Mercedes. Dealers are pretty proud of these cars in Houston, TX. Just couldn't convince myself that these cars were worth 45-55K. It hit me, why not a Mustang GT convertible. Test drove a GT coupe that afternoon ( no convertibles in stock ) and was hooked. Convertibles came in next week and took one home with us!!! Sweet car and half the price of the Euro boys!!
