I just bought mine used w/98,000 miles on it. Other than hitting a bear (yes, a bear) not more than 14 miles from home the day I purchased it, I have thoroughly loved my car. It's the perfect "Divorce Revenge"! My car handles beautifully. I trust it! Everything except the inside trunk release works. That's going to be fixed soon. I love the top down or up! It's so fancy, stylish & with the great gas mileage, I'm enjoying my 2 hour ride into work. I've always wanted a convertible & am not disappointed w/my choice. It's solid, very quiet & drop dead gorgeous. Love the turbo! My warranty is amazing too! The trunk space is very adequate. The seats are ultra comfy. I'm enjoying my 2 hour ride into work now!

We just red picked up this car yesterday from a small dealer in the San Francisco area. It's beautiful, clean inside & out. There was a minor glitch resetting the radio security code but we got that fixed. We do have a squeak coming from the front left but are going to deal with it until we can get it checked out. The automatic convertible top works great which is s bonus for our California to Philly road trip. All in all were happy.

Great little car that is unfortunately over-engineered and very difficult to repair. Even minor repairs may require partial disassembly. Labor charges are high, and since the parts usually must be ordered from Germany, their cost are also high. Expect to spend as much or more on repairs as you spend on the purchase price (for a used TT).

Purchased as 2nd owner from dealer. 35K on the clock in 7 years. Since it is almost new, I expect NO problems and haven't been disappointed [yet]. Powerful, fun to drive, great handling, eye-catching and real economy - 30 mpg, suburb stereo. This car has all the bells and whistles I'll ever need. Plan on keeping this car a long time only driven in summers. Will do maintenance as recommended by factory - my best attempt at forestalling potential problems.

Purchased a one-owner roadster in almost showroom condition and I'm sure NOT sorry about that move [further down the road, I may change my mind]. Plan on continuing with the factory maintenance schedule to prevent any problems. This car is very fun to drive and very temping to get into the turbo boost - gotta be careful because it is easy to speed before you know it. Has all the creature comforts my Sebring convertible lacked. Feels very solid, tight and a high level of build quality is evident.

Had it for 6 years and had nothing but problems- had to replace the battery 3 times. Had problems with both windows (replaced motors), Glove box broken (kept it shut not able to use $700 to replace) , had to replace the dashboard controls as the gas guage was giving false readings. Also, had to replace fron front rotors at 40K miles.Keyless entry had to be replaced as I think it ate up the battery.Replace various hoses etc at 60K miles.

As an Audi Collector I believe this one will be an Audi Classic in due time. I've owned this one for 6 yrs and the only probs have been the electronics (windows, etc.). It is still as tight as the day bought and the 1.8 engine is a miniature work-horse. It's a solid machine that will be kept for ages.

I am 2 years into my used TT. It is picture perfect and fun to drive. 33 MPG on the HW 29 in town and I have a heavy foot. Best snow car I have ever owned (lived in CO for 29 years). Would get an extended protection plan as repairs are pricey. I love my car and always get asked about it.

Although the first few months of ownership were filled with computer related and dealer repair problems (almost 1 month to get is all working). It is tough to find a replacement vehicle, at this price, that offers the style and design features of the TT Roadster. The Baseball Optic leather seats with dark blue and blue canvas roof and brushed metal hardware are striking and hold up to wear well. They speak to the high standards of Audi's designers and engineers. The power train and exhaust have been reliable. There is more than enough hp/torque for an everyday vehicle and the all-wheel drive has served when needed. "Keyless" entry occasionally needs reprogramming it eats batteries.

I bought mine used with 63xxx and in impeccable shape. With or without the top down, you get noticed in this car, a lot. The car handles extremely well, especially at higher speeds. The engine purrs, but does not have a strong kick at the starting gate. The ride is harsh and noisy. Lots of metal rattles underneath and in the rear, none of which the dealer can figure out! Heating/cooling and stereo are outstanding. Bottom line: the good far outweighs the negative.

Driving before the turbo kicks in is painful. The paint is EXTREMELY susceptible to scraches, dents, and road damage. The Tiptronic chip had to be replaced along with the battery at 8000 miles. The instrument cluster had a problem at 28000 miles. The glove compartment handle broke during normal operation at 5000 miles. It tookthe dealer two CD changers (CDC) and several complaints to get the CDC working right. The brakes would "scarily push back at your foot when depressed harshly"; the dealer never found anything wrong. Just like the exterior, all the nice brushed aluminum accents are extremely susceptible to damage/scratches.

Have the TT for over three years. Love the way it rides. Fun, handles great, though alittle heavy. Inside a little claustrophobic with many blind spots. Most disappointing is reliability. The car has 6400 miles. So far the electrical system, air cond. system, dash cluster fuel gauge, glove box have been repaired. Need I say more? Would think twice about the 2003 TT.

I purchased my TT on 06/03. A month later, I added a 6-CD changer for $350. It took over a month for the changer to arrive at the dealer, and it was incorrectly installed (lid kept popping). The tiptronic tranmission chip had to be replaced at about 10000 miles, the handle of the glove compartment broke when pulled with average strength, the battery died at 12000 miles and had to be replaced, an indicator cover (on the side front of the car) was loose and had to be replaced, the lamps on the trunk, etc...

Two plus years into owning a TT is disappointing. I have had model cars that held paint better. Chips and pits galore. The keyless remotes constantly require reprogramming, and the Audi comprehensive warranty is not all it is that good. The dealer will decide when you get what fixed, regardless of your feedback. Brakes wear, well we understand they are soft but they are within .000001 inch, so no replacement. Come back after the 50,000 mile waranty and we will be happy to replace them for a fee. My first and last Audi, just to much money for an underperforming vehicle.

I just bought the last 2003 TTC225Q from the dealership nearby. This is the car I've lusted after for 4 years now, and I'm definately not dissappointed. I love the way it moves when I floor it, and the turbo lag isn't THAT bad. This is my first turbo car (previously had 2 GTI VR6's), and it's a blast to drive. The build quality is exceptional. I can't wait to drive this for years to come.

After each drive I hop back in the audi and suddenly I'm reminded of why I work 50 hours a week to drive this car. Oh and for the love of god please don't buy a roadster. Please.

Other than that the car is packed with fun accessories and a nice little learning curve on how to use them!

I purchased this car as a 25th wedding anniversary present for my wife. She typically doesn't get excited about cars, but really went crazy over the TT. I've had various convertibles for over 17 years. I drove a Z4 and and a Boxster (tiptronic) for comparison. TT won out on styling, interior quality and what I would label as 80% driving - that stuff we all do during our daily trips around town. Z4 was a close competitor, but I just couldn't get used to the looks. Boxster (with tiptronic) was a dog to drive around town, and it's interior was pretty spartan (read cheap looking) compared to the other two.

Much Fun, but with an annoying squeek.

I bought my '03 TT new. At about 2,000 miles it developed an annoying squeek emanating from somewhere in the right rear hatch area. I took it to the dealer who did some "insulation" work which helped for a short time, but then it came back. A week ago I hauled 4 bags of seed topper from Home Depot and the squeek went away for the most part. I'm wondering if the problem could be related to the right rear strut mounting. Could a bushing be the culprit? Otherwise, the TT is a blast! The Quattro is fantastic in the wet; when everyone else is lifting, the TT tracks along like it's on rails. I give it a 9 overall.

A great car, and a blast to drive -- not much to complain about. Got the 225HP, and wouldn't mind just a little more power. But amazing performance for a 1.8 litre 4 .. and awesome fuel mileage for a true sports car. We get about 31MPG. It's my wife's car, and is perfect for her. I'm 5'11" and it's just barely big enough to be comfortable for me. If you're over 6', this probably isn't the car for you.

I just picked up my car yesterday, I LOVE it. I'm going to be 50 next year and I decided to trade in my 2002 Lexus ES 300 on something fun. Life is just too short! I'm very picky when it comes to quality. I don't see anything about the TT I don't like. I decided on the automatic, simply because the traffic is so bad around here, I didn't want to do a lot of shifting. Audi even makes it fun to drive an automatic!

The Audi TT (220 hp)is the car of my dreams. I believe the 180 is a waste of time.(Nice copy of the 220...but not even close to the REAL thing) They spared no expense in making it all luxury as well as being the ULTIMATE sports car. Audi know's how to pamper drivers by making the experience the most pleasure you can get with your clothes on!!! I love my car and will continue a relationship with Audi/Porche for my next purchase. That's IF I EVER give up my TT!! Thank you Cheryl Bellows Nashua, NH

This car is very thoughtfully designed. I was comparing it with the Boxster, which I thought had an edge on the exterior styling but the TT's interior styling is nicer. Plus, I get a lot more car for less money -- rear glass window, retractable rear wind deflector. And I love the silver cover on the audio system. It's such a nice touch. The construction is very solid. You can tell when you close the doors and trunk. It's very solid.

The Audi TT Coupe is a very interesting car in many ways. It is a head-turning attention getter that has one of the most amazing interiors of any car I've ever seen, much less owned. The power, while criticized by some reviewers, is more than adequate unless you plan on racing regularly (not me). You get a great deal of car for the price, with very few problems. As for comfort, you get a nice ride that, again, is adequate for most anyone. The controls are excellently placed. Functionality is almost perfect, except for the flaws below.

Those who say the TT isnt a performer..it depends on the driver. Motor Trend even said its almost up to Boxster S on back roads. If u want something fast in a straight line get a Camero SS. I've raced Boxsters and smoked them on back roads. Also you can do so much with the 1.8 litre engine, eventually getting it well past 300 hp. You dont need anything faster..trust me.

Loved the styling at first sight, but what really sold us was the comfortable, roomy interior when we took it out for a test drive! WOW! It's just what we wanted in a convertible, quick, easy, lots of FUN. Not a copycat design; has all the features you could want for comfort and convinence. The maintenance plan was a big plus too. The seats hold you in while you're doing those impossible sharp turns...those tires really hold on tight and no body roll to speak of. Driving it everyday to and fron work with the sun and wind in my hair is a great attitude adjuster...LIFE IS GOOD!

Test drove- boxster, lost it in a curve at 70 tt held on, Z350 - nice power nice exterior, plastic iterior not functional for golf clubs- lexus 430- heavy, hated the shifter and the 911- excellent a little too pricy and again golf club issue. I just traded my 2000 TT Coupe in for a new TT Roadster. I love this car so much!!! Beautifully built and designed. Not the fastest car in its class, but who cares? It's swift enough and the turbo is fun. Test drove the rest of the competition before making my choice on another TT. I'm in love with this car!!!

This car is pure fun! The acceleration is excellent-especially fun to feel it open up from second to third! Great handling in turns, smooth ride, low noise, great engineering. With the top down it is also impressive - unlike some convertibles this car is engineered with passenger comfort in mind with the top down. The balance of air flow is perfect to keep passengers comfortable in higher heat or in cooler weather. Good sound system - but probably the only thing I would upgrade. Seats are extremely comfortable and the visibility is very good for a convertible. The interior trim is awesome. Very sleek, fun vehicle. I have enjoyed every moment!

I have owned a new Miata (fun but too small if you are 6feet or taller), new Chrysler Sebring convertible(nice underpowered family convertible), a Jag XJS cabriolet (pretty but junk)and a BMW 328i convertible (Great Performance Car, but high maintenance) The TT is a great design, great ride and lots of fun. The Audi service plan built into the price lowers your annual operating costs as well and that made it very attractive. Also, to go with the great styling and mid- range performance, there are great deals on this car right now!

Great sytle, great handling, better than average power, more cargo space than a sports car, good sound system, I can drive it every day of the year, and it's a head turner. What's not to like? Well, the blind spots caused by the body style, but you get use to them.

While the ext/int design is incredible, the mat'ls & fit and finish make a great 1st impression, it can't hide the VW Golf roots. The handling is all understeer. The all on/all off throttle make the tubo lag feel worse & the engine shakes at idle. The 6 speed autotrans is excellent & masks the turbo lag some. Shifts are crisp, smooth & timely, making the most of the engine. Rear 3/4 blind spots are huge. The view out feels like an igloo with low set windows. My head hits the roof getting in and out. This is rolling sculpture. It's not a sports car. As long as priorities fit, this is a great car. The wife loves it.

I have had no problems, and have loved every mile I have driven the car. I had trouble believing that I did not need to take the car back to the dealer for 10,000 miles or one year and changed the oil after 2,500 miles and about 6 months. It is not awesome in speed, I had a 911 before and this car does not have the same torque, but it is quick and it is fun.

traveling 1400 miles seemed like nothing. the ride, enjoyment and ease of driving made the "road trip" melt to a simple around the block cruse. averaging 80+ mph and 35 mpg is not your average sport car trip, not to mention the comfort and ease of driving. Z who? I had one. This car has style, and is an original. Like the original Z it sets the trend and others follow. sure other sport cars have more power, but none have more syle, comfort and originality. Read all the magizines comparisons you want. I will take my TT anyday over the competion. I'll be driving while they pump gas.

My second TT (the first a 180HP coupe) has taken the fun up another notch. The 225 hp 1.8 liter coupled with the 6-speed is a huge improvement in capability. Both of my TT's were Quattro-equipped and I wouldn't have it any other way - the stability of the car on the road is never in question. The ESP makes cutting loose on gravel much more enjoyable since it keeps the nose pointed where you steer it. I recommend a switch to all- season tires from the factory performance treads if you live near snow. Otherwise, I wouldn't change a thing! I've never enjoyed driving more...that's even including my younger days driving Triumph ragtops.

PROS: Fun to drive and look at. The trunk is much larger than it appears from the outside. The detail in the design of the interior is very "James Bond". CONS: Steering wheel jerks to left with acceleration. Windshield is in your line of sight unless you are a small person. Overall, this car is made for its exquisite appeal and not necessarily for a luxurious drive.

This is a warning to all those considering this car. It is a horrible car with an extremely poor build- quality. The car looks great, both on the inside and outside. It is comfortable and is a fairly nice ride. However, the reliability and workmanship are so poor that I would never recommend it to anyone of my friends. My car was in the shop at least 16 times in 18 months. If you are considering this car, I would highly recommend that you look at other options. This is a very, very poorly built car. This is not just my opinion. I have several friends who also own this car and fully agree.

This car has been out since 2000, and it still turns heads. It has a great engine sound. The car is very fast. It might not beat a 350z or GS Coupe 6MT, but its styling and build quality blow away any similarly priced sport coupe. The seats are firm. The gears are short and easy to find. The turbo lag is negligible. The quattro handling is like nothing you've ever experienced. One would have to be very reckless and make many mistakes to get into trouble with this car. The car is solidly built and can be driven every day.

I first saw the Audi TT concept car in an auto magazine in 1995 and thought it was just another concept car that was exactly what I wanted, but would never make it to market. Happily, I was wrong! It’s now a year after I purchased my 225 HP Quattro TT Roadster, and I still get the same thrill driving it I did the day I took it home. Let me add by saying that driving the TT at dusk with the top down is about as close to automotive heaven as I have ever come. And, you’ll definitely turn several heads with this car. The styling has turned more then a few heads and the baseball glove interior is also a conversation piece at social get- togethers.

watch out for the first and second gear shifts, it needs to be tightened up. also make sure the seats are adjusted properly to your liking before you drive. seat adjustments are manual. once you kick into third gear, it is quick as lightning and the handling is great. also watch your head when entering. otherwise, it is an awesome, eye catching performance sports coupe.

When the lease ended on my 180hp 2000 TT, I wanted a change, so I headed to the dealerships to find a replacement. The Infiniti G35 felt more like a Cadillac than a sports car, and understeered at 25MPH on a corner that I take daily in the TT at 35. The Porshe Boxter was faster, the BMW330 and Mercedes CLK a smoother ride, but somehow none gave me the smile that the TT has for 3 years. I'm now the proud owner of a 2003 225Hp TTQ. Turbo lag is more pronounced than it was on the 180Hp, but the extra 45 horses are a welcome addition. It still turns heads, and the interior fits like a glove; it couldn't feel more natural or comfortable to drive.

I own a 2002 TT. I live in Germany and have to traverse a windy mountain road to get to work. The ride is made enjoyable by the car. It's also a great car on the autobahn. I can appreciate the reviews about not holding the line in a curve as well as Porche and BMW, however I can drive my car in the winter while they are in the garage. There is always a trade off.

This car is hot! I bought it because I wanted a sports car I could drive year round in Colorado, and of course couldn't bring myself to buy another front wheel drive vehicle. The AWD handling is making me rethink my preference for the rear wheel drive, actually. The Quattro system is a dream drive and nothing I've ever driven handles small, winding, Colorado mountain roads like this car. While it may not have the top acceleration of the Porche, the power it has for a 4 cylinder at this price level is incredible, really. A true bargain!

This car is about as fun as it gets. It may not be as fast off the blocks as the Porsche but it's got the retro styling that distinguishes it from the rest. There are distinct styling features imprinted throughout the car. Handling is impeccable with very slight understeer. No skimping in the details. It would be nice to put an Audi performance chip in it, but that would void the warranty.

Well, I must say that the first thing that I noticed about the 2003 TT's was that the 6 spoke rims that come standard on the quattro model is so nice and elegant compared to last year's model. Also worth noting is just the AWD feature that the 225 has! You can take 25mph turns going 50mph and still feel like you are in complete control of the car. I didn't really buy the whole "useless" backseats quote until I actually got in to it. But let's face it, you are not buying the TT as a family car.
