Having owned MANY cars of all types, this one is still my favorite to drive. It's raw, you are connected to the road, and it's a blast. Incredibly reliable, 85K miles and only replaced the thermostat. I have a street-legal turbo kit making 300 wheel horsepower and have surprised many cars thinking they would walk by. I'll never sell . . . . ! !

Have had this car since new, mostly a weekend cruiser or summer, store it for winters, only 30,000 miles. Love everything about the car, but as I get in my older years would enjoy something a little more softer, years of football and basketball have taken a toll on the joints and this car is not forgiving, a true sports car. Only been in for one repair at Honda besides usual service, how is that for 15 years>

The S2k is amazing with its 240 bhp engine that screams from 6-9K rpm and nimble responsive chassis. Its also roomy and comfortable on the inside. Undoubtedly a car that needs a skilled driver to really shine! It is at most in its place on a twisty mountain side.

My S is a little different than most. Having 320 hp really extends the enjoyment of the S. While there's still a lack of low end torque, there are few cars out there that can compete with the fun of an S2000 over 4,000 RPM. It can't be compared to other sports cars. It must be viewed in terms of a livable go kart. It's that responsive. The shifter is a particular joy. Few manuals can be maneuvered with the flick of your wrist like the S can.

I first looked at the S2000 in 1999. I had to have it! I finally bought it in 2003. I still have it! I love the way the car feels, especially after driving a larger vehicle. It corners like it's on rails, it feels solid at all times and the sleek, sporty design is an amazing attention getter! I will drive this one for another few years, give it to my daughter and get me a brand new one. The Honda car is the best for dependability!! Hands down! And the sports car has class, depenability, style and best of all speed!

This car is precisely in spirit of what Ferdinand Porsche had in mind when he designed the 911. Unfortunately German manufactures turned to more profitable manufacturing schemes and lost the true passion of a sports car. This car is 100% designed for drivers who are passionate about driving and wouldn't use navigation even if it was a free option. Many owners complain about low end power, although I agree with Honda's design of this engine completely. People that just want a car to look good in and occasionally drive moderately hard should buy a boxer. Very true this car rides hard and is loud but that is because it isn't over engineered for people who really don't like driving to begin with

I bought my 2001 S2000 with 5K miles on it. It was too impractical for the previous owner. Since I only drive it to work and back, practicality is not an issue. In fact, the S2000 makes my 30-45 minute commute fun, everyday except when it's snowing. Acceleration is awesome, top goes up and down in seconds (important for the surprise thunderstorm), handling is superb. The interior is quite cramped, and not recommended for someone 6 feet or taller. I'm 5'10" and fit fine, although getting in and out with the top up requires some agility. The stock stereo system in poor, and if you upgrade you lose the remote control functions on the dash. So I just upgraded the speakers.

I bought this car used in the Fall of 2005 with 31,000 miles. I was driving a Acura GS-R at the time, and I always loved the performance and reliability that Honda had to offer. The next natural step was the S2000. I thought why not treat myself? Young, single, and when would I be able to buy a car like this again? I test drove it, and made the plunge. I was sold! I love the driving experience, and I always get compliments from people who have never seen the car. They can't believe it's a Honda! It is an affordable exotic, without the "exotic" car headaches and maintenance nightmares.

This car makes a mundane drive to the QuickShop a hoot! I've driven 3K mi since buying it used last Fall. Couldn't wait to get it out of the garage this Spring. Every feature of driving with the top down is a pleasure. Accelerating on entrance ramps in 2nd gear to near redline will get your heart pounding. It's like riding in a very well built roller coaster, except you're in total control People still express compliments, envy,"wanna race", and cool depending on age.

FUN TO DRIVE!!! The S2000 is the best handling car I have ever driven. It is very powerful for a 4 cylinder. Those looking for a smooth ride need to look for something else. The S2000 has a harsh ride, but it handles awesome. This car is great in tight corners, it is an Autocross king. PURE SPORTS CAR

Driving this car is like attaching it directly to your brain and giving it commands. The S2000 goes where you want when you want it to. It is a superior driving machine. Whether you are a good old boy that loves american muscle, or an import umm "artist", a ride in this car will induce an ear-to- ear grin on your face. I have used it as a weekend/fair weather car and have had very few problems. I had the 3 TSB's performed during the first year of ownership which took care of a few noises and nuisances. Since then it's been perfectly reliable through two autocross seasons and a recent track day. I recommend this car to anyone who likes to drive, and I don't mean in a straight line.

After owning a BMW some years ago, the itch hit for a fun to drive car. This is my first convertible. This car is an absolute blast to drive for an enthusiast. Not certian it would be for a non-enthusiast. It's quick, light on its feet, and surprisingly economical. I had wanted a 911 for many years, but this is more practical, cheaper, and truly just as fun. Reliability seems to be better too. And servicing will be cheaper.

Unbelievable! For performance, I have yet to see any car with a natural aspirated four cylinder (or six) come close. OK, the 350Z isn't far behind, but I drove both vehicles with a bias FOR Nissan before deciding on the USED Honda. Sorry Datsun enthusiasts, but the Honda has the heart of high performance two- seaters, much like the 240 had in the 70's. I have put 40,000 miles on this car and still get a thrill every time I push the start button. Life is definitely better at 9000 RPM.

A very nice surprise. I bought the 2001 S2000 in March 2003, with 3,900 miles. It is my recreational car and not used for daily commuting. It exceeds my expetation for performance and driving fun. I have owned several sports cars in the past and the S200 ranks on the top of my list for fun, performance and affordability.

My 1995 Honda Del Sol was totalled while parked for 15 minutes. At first I was unwilling to purchase another two- seater until I test drove the S2000. I was happy with my Del Sol, but I am estatic with my S2000 purchased at 56,000 miles. I felt a little uncomfortable about the change in security (soft top), but since I had a K-9 Alarm installed I feel confident about leaving it anywhere.

You can say the Vette is the best bang for your buck, you could say that a BMW Z3 or Porsche Boxster are more appealing, but you could never say once you have driven them all that the s2000 isn't the most fun. I have been the proud owner of a new s2000 each summer that they have been built and I have never had a single problem with any of them. 9300RPM are you kidding? Test drive one and fall in love, however I would recomend a 2001 or newer, the synch is bad from 1st to second in 2000 and also there is no clock in the car untill 2001. Hooray for Honda on finally building a car thats a blast to drive and not a blast to your wallet.

I agree with almost all of the descriptions of this car, except one: You can take this car on a long trip. I took it on a 1,500 mile trip this summer (the trunk fit luggage for two) and never got tired of the long drive. With the top down, wind blowing, enginge roaring, tach sweeping over 6,500, who cares that the stereo needs to be improved and the rear view is plastic.

This vehicle has been amazingly fun, the gears are meant for thrilling accelleration. Gas mileage is impressive, I get around 30 mpg hw/25 city. Cornering is great with the factory tires, and gets even better when you load on some Z rated tires. The ride can get rough on long drives, but this was clearly not the intent of the vehicle. I bought this vehicle because I did NOT enjoy the "family car" feel of the Z3, TT, and other competing models, not to mention this car cost many thousands less! 2 sets of golf clubs fit in the trunk! These seats hold you so tight you don't even feel the turns and focus on your driving!

It's more fun to drive than you can imagine and hugs the road beautifully. There's nothing like shifting into 6th and sailing past everyone...especially when they think they're actually going to overtake you! Great for rides in the hills and on curves. Outstanding slow or fast when not in traffic. Love the car. Attracts police like magnate. I would not want to take a 400 mile trip in this car. Snow / ice traction is a joke. Wet/dry traction is unbelievable. Very quiet. I'm 6 ft 2 in, just barely fit in car (legroom is tight, top is ok)

After just 1000 miles this car has been a dream. All the power you need is there along with Honda's reputation for a quality automobile. When you compare the cost to speed (eg. looking in the back of Road and Track for specs on all makes and models of cars, incl. cost, 0- 60, braking, etc.), there is only one other car that has a 5.5sec 0-60 rating for under $35k and that's the 350z. This car is the best bang for the buck out there.

It's like driving a mini rocket. This car is sleek, fast, fun and handles like it's on rails. I average about 25 miles/gallon so it's also much more environmentally friendly than the V8 gas-guzzlers that used to provide the only thrill out there. The price tag is a little high for the stripped-down basic interior, but it's still worth every dime. My only complaint is that the doors and dash are starting to rattle.

9000 Rpm usable redline is a beautiful thing. The sound is sports car music. The seats make me feel like Mike Andretti or Montoya in that carbon- fiber tub. The power rush through the Rpm band feels like an F16 Fighter Jet! The handling is superb thanks to those sticky Bridgestone S-02's and tight suspension. The shifter feels like a trigger to unleash more power! Honda please, please, please don't stop making this machine!

This is the fastest honda you ever can get stock. Stick a supercharger on the baby and it will really shine. It burns boxsters and bmw z's and gives those supras and challenge

Great fun drive, go kart handling, most comfortable sports car ever driven. Closest I'll get to Formula 1!!! Great value for money. Outperforms overpriced/overhyped Boxter and ugly sedate Z3.

Amazing drive, best cornering on the market, best shifting on the market and basically loads of fun...the downfall...do not drive more than 2 hours...tires wear quick...very quick!

Car has performed superbly, with excellent fuel economy (26.5 mpg). Handles like a car on a rail. Mechanicals flawless and looks always turn heads!

I bought this car looking for a fun weekend car. Unfortunally every time I drive it I leave in pain. This car is bumpey, feels like it has no shocks, has a terrible suspension. If your looking for a cheeply built four wheel motorcycle, this is your car.

It's everything I ever wanted in a car and just a little bit more. I truly do look for a longer way home. This car is so powerful and fun to drive. The day after I picked it up I drove across country with the top down, racked up almost 3,000 miles. It was great, but if you don't want to draw attention to yorself stay out of one of these. Most people did not even know what kind of car this was and it seem to draw a crowd where ever I parked it. I drive it as an every day driver and I love it.

This car is a motorcycle w/ doors!! It handles so well that I am surprised when I have to use my brakes. Also, it is definitely an eye catcher, all for $29K. No Porsche, Audi, or BMW is as a complete package as the S2000. It is not my everyday driver but it is a great way to relax, especially around 6000 rpm. Buy one if you can find one, rumor has it that 2004 is the last year of production...I can definitely see collectible written all over this one.

This is a sports car... If you want anything other than that look elsewhere... This is a car for those people who love to drive their cars, and not just for day to day transportation. There are many fabulous roadsters on the market today, but in my humble opinion this car is the best combination of speed, style, value, and fun!!!

I've owed BMW's and other sports cars and this one without a doubt is the most fun to drive. A little weak in the low in power range but you forget all about that when the rpms rise above 6500. I have experienced no problems with the vehicle and other than me wearing a set of rear tires off nothing other than normal maintaince has been done. I would highly recommend this car to anyone.

After the initial 1500 miles the engine gained noticable horsepower every 500 miles. Finally around 3500 miles the engine was free revving and much easier to rev up throughout the gears. The suspension specially the shocks are about 5-10% softer than the inital days. Overall the car is much more competitive than its early days.

The S2000 is by far the best sports car in it's class. Compared to the Porsche Boxter, BMW Z3, etc.. the S2000 out performs them on the road as well as in the pocket book. You are truly buying a car that performs and sounds like a Formula One racer. It's a true sports car! For those who want a glass rear window, buy a Miata or a Mustang. Those are not true sports cars! For those who want wood grain on the dashboard, go buy a Lexus or an Audi TT. Those are not sports cars! I love the car and all it stands for. Go buy one and you can honestly say that you are living life for the moment.

Take a holiday... after work.

The s2000 packs a punch. 240hp power this light weight roadster (go-kart) from 0-60 in 5.6 seconds. This car is for those who truly love driving. I have owned this car for close to a year and though it's price matches that of the BMW z3... The performance of the z3 does not even come close to the s2000's. Test drive it, that is if you can get your hands on one of these rare beauties.

This is my 2nd car, so complaints like, weak stero and lack of passenger/trunk space, don't really apply for me. I wanted a classic sports car(convertible, rear-wheel drive, great handling, light weight, great power-to-weight ratio and good looks) and I got it without paying stupid money. Great 2nd car!!!

It's a head-turner for sure!

Want a sportster, or just a fun, sporty, and affordable car? S2000 is the car to get! Similar in style to the BMW Z3 and Audi TT roadster, but a fraction of cost. S2000 is FUN to drive, and it gets looks. There's not a ton out there, so people always say "cool car!" or "I didn't know Honda made a sporster!" It's true that low-end torque is lacking, pass the 4,500 RPM mark & hang on to your hat! Fun to drive, nice too look at, and definitely grabs attention. I recommend it to anyone I know.

This is by far the best roadster on the market. In fact, it is probably the best vehicle sold in North America, period. And now that it has a glass rear window, the only real complaint has been remedied. To get a near equal car you would have to spend $20,000 more and you have to ask yourself if haveing a Porsche badge is worth $20k. I smile every time I look at the thing. Most dealers are chargeing sticker these days. Buy this car!

I love my S2000. It is one of the most fun to drive cars made....at any price. I would recommend it highly. The long term reliability worries me a little. Not the engine, but other parts like the clutch, diff, and cv joints. While, I have not had any problems yet, my car only has 14.6k miles on it. It is my daily driver, rain or shine. The car is rattle free, looks great, with the hardtop is a decent daily driver, and has good performance.
