I purchased this minivan in 2013. This 2001 model has 136000 kms on it, since then the only problem was the key was stuck in the ignitor and a part had to be replaced for 200$, once i entered the wrong fuel in the van but got it drained later on and had no problems. Its a great family hauler at a very affordable price. Good value for money. Less repairs. Had a 2000 model before this which also ran good

Bought my 01 Sport in 02 with 16,000 miles. $20K. It was my second Caravan. 3.3 liter got 24mpg at 2200rpm on the highway. Replaced the alternator at 25k. A/C at 150k. Transmission at 211K (never changed the fluid). Plugs once, brakes once, front window motors once. Regular synthetic oil changes. Got t-boned at an intersection by a red-light runner! Van had 231,000 miles. Up to that point my van ran great. Was hoping to go 300,000. But it was not to be. Will pick up another 01 Sport tomorrow. Nothing but good things to say about this Dodge.

Bought this van as a second owner. Previous owner put 200,000 highway miles on it. We bought it for a song and haven't looked back. Other than tires, oil change and a waterpump, the "Puddle Jumper" hasn't let me down. She is wonderful. Planning on taking it to Colorado this fall. Its 1,289 miles from home one way! She's going in the garage to get a "look over" within a month. My van is wonderful. Going to get handed down to my 16 yr old son after he gets his license.

The second Caravan I've owned, this one, bought used, is reliable, comfortable, and a great service vehicle for any task I've used it to accomplish. It is great on the highway and offers reasonable gas efficiency. At 145,000 and going strong, I still have miles to go with regular maintenance. It is truly my road warrior! The only problem I ever had is with a wacky onboard computer that had to be replaced (twice, since the first one from manufacturer was also faulty). My private mechanic was great; the dealership I had to order through was difficult to work with and proved to be a ripoff!!

Purchased a mini-van because of growing family. Had an '85 Caravan and loved it so I came back. I've enjoyed driving it but over the years it seems that something always needs a fix. Dealership pricing is outrageous! Two tie bars $400 vs $200 at local shop. Brakes close to $300.00.

Best family vehicle I have owned in my lifetime. Bought vehicle new from dealership in 2001. Drive 400 miles one way to visit family several times a year. When driving a sedan on this trip it was long, tiring and cramped. With minivan it is comfortable and pleasant. Have not had any major problems with powertrain.

Bought new and have had nothing but problems - Here's a short list: Power steering twice Two Air Conditioning condensors Check Engine Light twice Heater Coil leak Arm rest fell off after 30,000 miles rear wiper does not work properly Radiator leak This car is 8yrs old but only has 103,000 miles on it. I changed the oil religiously and did not drive it "hard." How can anyone look at the above list and tell me this is acceptable. Next time it's a Honda or Toyota.

Purchased this vehicle new, and maintained it to the letter. It has received much better treatment than it has provided us. We have kept it because the value plummets as soon as you take ownership of it, and its trade-in value tanks overnight. Mostly steering/front suspension problems have been reoccurring although the cooling system has been problematic as well.We will never buy another Chrysler product again, although other consumer reviewers have had much better experiences with their Caravans. So much for quality control.

Bought our van new in 2001. Maintained to the letter, and above, but always some kind of a problem. Devaluation rate after purchase mind boggling. Many problems with the front suspension and steering, starting at week one. It is versatile and nice on the highway, but the main reason we kept it is due to the fact we lost such a large amount of money on its low resale value and we have spent so much on repairs. Would not recomend buying a Doge van to someone unless you have a terrible grudge to settle

We purchased or Grand Caravan Sport new from the dealership. It has given us 7 great years with minor issues. We recently were going to trade it in on a new cross-over and instead traded in our Volvo for the cross over and kept the van. However now our needs are changing and the van is really not needed anymore, plan to trade it in for something smaller and more fuel efficient.

Roomy, comfortable on trips, adequate performance, mostly trouble free. First vacuum leak (CEL code for large evap system leak) took it to a dealer and cost $1k. Second vacuum leak (same code) I did some online research, found the bad hose, and fixed it myself for $6.00. My sense is the dealer has overcharged for everything I've had done there, they treat female customers like idiots, and I will not return. Power steering noise around 100k. Researched online and found the "full" line on the Power Steering tank is wrong - added a little fluid and it's been fine for 30k+

We purchased our Caravan Sport as a primary vehicle for our growing family. Over the past 4.5 years of owning it, it has never had a mechanical breakdown other than normal wear items (battery died in the 3rd year). We had one issue with the A/C system, which was caused by an improperly completed service on the climate controls. That was only a concern because Florida living requires 100% A/C reliability. The vehicle is strong, stable, and runs my 5 member family everywhere we need to go. We have even used it to tow a 2500 pound boat with no issues. Given the opportunity, I would buy another one without hesitation. It may be a soccer mobile, but it fits it's job nicely.

I have had my van for over a year enjoyed driving it. I did not go out and purposely buy it. Family situtation which I took posssession of the vehicle. Ran great took it on about five trips. About a week ago just going down the road felt two jolts and the transmission was gone. Just went out of warranty. So I had to spend over $ 2,000.00 to have it repaired. Went online to check if other people have had problems. I was blown away with all the complaints. No wonder they are offering lifetime warranty. Needless to say I'm trading in the near future.

I never thought I would like a minivan, but once I got my hands on my Caravan, I fell in love. For a car with over 100,000 miles, it is very reliable, still has plenty of power, and is great to drive. This car is plenty powerful for getting me around town, and it doesn't kill me at the pump compared to my old truck. The only things I don't like about it are the slightly rough idle, and how heavy the back seats are. It kills my back having to move those by myself a lot of times.

The only problem I've ever had was with the front steering/radial arms. The bushings on both sides wore out after about 3 years. Other than that, I haven't had anything go wrong with the car that wasn't normal "wear and tear" (such as changing belts. air filters. etc...).

We bought our Dodge Caravan brand new, and while I wasn't thrilled with the Dodge dealership, this minivan has served us quite well over the years. The only problems I've had with it is a burst vacuum line that took 2 times to find and the tendency for the rubber seal on sliding door on the drivers side to pop out when the door is closed. This makes it impossible to open the driver's door. Of course, if you open the sliding door again, the driver's door opens fine. Yeah, not a great "feature," but honestly it is only a minor inconvenience. On the whole, it has been serviceable and functional - a great value for our family.

43K miles on the van in alittle more than 3 years. Started having problems after 1st month. Not enough room here for all, but major ones include replacing HVAC control unit because temp. control was stuck in HOT position, replaced gas tank & most of pollution system looking for a vaccum leak. Power steering pump problems caused noise & vibration at all speeds. Headlght switch broke & lights would just go out w/o any warning. Most of these took at least 2 trips to the garage to fix. Latest problem, tranny let go last Friday. Saturday morn, dealer tells me I can't get loaner car I'm entitled to w/ extended warranty until a tech diagnosis the problem.

day we brought it home the AC broke, took it back and they "fixed it" when passing an eighteen wheeler on the interstate it didn't switch gears and slowed down with the pedal all the way to the floor a pick up truck was approaching and almost rear ended me. When we took it in for this problem they said "oh, the computer was just off and had to be reset, It's common with these vans". Hope I don't have to pass anyone for the rest of my life while owning this van. Now to get rid of it I am upside down and I will NEVER buy another DODGE and I will pay 3 times as much for a toyota to keep from putting my family in another one of their vehicles.

Van has been nothing but trouble since we purchased it. Has been to Dodge service no fewer than 12 times. Steering wheel made popping sounds, check engine light came on for no reason 2X (once while at Disney World) had to have brakes replaced at 30K miles, etc., etc. I am scared to keep this vehicle for much longer but I am still "upside down" in it so will have to endure it. Will NEVER buy another Dodge. Will spend extra to get a reliable Toyota.

We wanted a quality family van to fill many different roles and that is what we got. We use it to haul our son's band and public address equipment; we use it to haul member's of the church youth group all over the state and we use it for everyday for formal, fun and daily use. I'd certainly consider this or the smaller Pacifica next time we need a vehicle.

My Caravan has developed a knocking sound comming from the front suspension. The sound can be heard when the temperature drops below 65 degrees. The dealer has replaced the struts, strut mounts, rack and pinion, tie rod ends, steering shaft and brake calibers and it still sounds like the front end is falling out. It has spent the past mounth at the Dodge dealership waiting for some one from Chrysler to look at it and figure out what is wrong with it. The dealer told me that he has four other Caravans making the same noise. I was going to order another Caravan, this has been my fifth in 10 years, but now I am considering a Chevy Astro Van.

What moron thought of placing a 2.4L engine in a van? This is the most gutless vehicle I have ever driven in my life! In addition, we purchased the vehicle with 42k miles on it and had it in the shop 4 times in 2 months. 3 radiators and a rebuilt transmission later, the van seems to run like it should have when purchased. We are retirees and wanted the room that is offered in the front of the minivan. We had a T & C LX which we traded in on this caravan sport. We did not want he extra length. We tumble the rear seats and have plenty of storage. Just last weekend we had luggage for 4 and after arriving at our destination and unloading luggage, we flipped the seats up and took two more people with us. That was the first time I had ridden in the rear seat. I was surprised at how comfortble it was! The person sitting beside me was equally impressed. This van is very versatile. We have had NO PROBLEMS with it. It has 10,200 miles and only oil and filter changed Not even one minor problem!
