A+. Never in my 25 years of buying cars have I ever come across a dealership that respects you as a customer and makes you feel so wanted. Every concern properly addressed, no pressure sales tactics, a respect for ones time. Truly how all dealerships should be operated. I have bought Mercedes and BMW in the past, and have been treated well, but never even close to how I was treated at Williamson Cadillac.

I have had this car for 2 and a half months. I replaced my 88 Seville for this car. Very good styling, everyone really likes this car. Ride is very smooth. Seats are very comfortable. Great car to cruise around town in or great for a extended road trip. Had a 96 Lincoln Town Car Cartier, It in no way compares to this car! Better styling and better resell value.

I bought this car last year and have only put about 5K miles on it since. It is used mainly for long trips. The car only has 74k miles on it. I have had no problems other than the power ant stopped working and now I have to hand wash the car. Very smooth ride and strong V-8. I paid $4100 for the car and never looked back.

I would never by a Cadillac again. I've replaced the motor due to head bolts stripped out of motor. They make an 800 dollar kit to fix the problem but it did not work due to already being done the wrong way. If I were you stay away from 96 to 2000 or you will have a bill of 3500 dollars like i did. If you're thinking about buying one I have this to say to you. It's the biggest pile of junk there is and if I were gm i would be ashamed of putting my name on it.

So far this has been a wonderful car. The fit & finish is very good. It's a fun to drive car. The ride is very good for a 11 year old luxury car. About the only option this car lacks, is a moonroof. Everything on this car works. I've heard a lot of bad things about the Northstar engine. I find it an excellent powertrain. If you keep it from getting overheated, it should last almost forever.

I loved this car. Luxury, good mileage 19-21 mpg. Excellent ride. I'm not a kid, and I'm not in a hurry, I'm into comfort. We live 20 miles in a rural setting in California. We drive a lot. I also have a Prius for my sales job, 45 plus mpg, 40,000 a year, but when we go out, we always take the DeVille.

The DeVille Concours is the clear winner if you want that full luxury feel, but with agility. It is a flawless car in terms of maintenance and quality. I wish someone now could make such a luxurious interior.

My DeVille had roughly 900 miles and the front tire rim and all went flying across 3 lanes of traffic. I bought the car new off the dealer's show room floor and its title stated 3 miles, but the odometer read 35 miles. I drove it for less than 5 minutes when we noticed a vibration in the front end, took the car back 5 or 6 times then the front tire came flying off. I wanted paper work for all the times the car was back in the shop, but the dealer wouldn't give it to us since they KNEW for a fact they sold us a lemon. With 35 miles on the car somnone from the dealer had to know there was a vibration and the car had flaws, also a new car should have 5 miles or less when titled we got hosed big time.

The '97 DeVille has a very comfortable ride. It is also very reliable. It has a great sound system -- Bose comes standard, I guess. Its gas mileage is actually decent, considering how big a car it is. If I drive "sensibly," I can get about 28 mpg on the freeway and about 18-19 on city streets.

For those of you looking to pick up a reliable, safe and comfortable used sedan need look no further than the '97 through '99 Cadillac DeVille. It has all the luxury features you want and then some... The Northstar V8 engine is powerful and gives that nice "V8" growl when you give it some throttle. The sunroof (moonroof?) is a nice feature and is very quiet when open - even at highway speeds. The CD changer in the trunk is great! It has power everything and the most intelligent lighting system I've ever seen in a car. It turns the headlights on when needed and somehow even knows when to dim the dashboard lights and when not to - amazing. The '97 DeVille gives you excellent value for your used car dollar.

My 1997 Cadillac Seville is very comfortable. I like the quite ride with the adjustable seats and lumbar. It gets excellent gas milage for a luxury car. I averaged 24.5 MPG with my sales travel which was mostly highway. The Bose sound system, fingertip controls, and power to spare - to mention a few things - make this a very stable and dependable vehicle. I now have 175,000 miles on the car with only minor repairs.

I now have 135,000 miles and have been fairly satisfied with this car. Major problems did not start until I had reached 100,000 miles. After that time something "broke" about every 3 months. The biggest complaint is with fit and finish - a lack of detail in the interior design.

I traded a junky 2003 Cadilac Eldorado in 03/2004 for a 1997 DeVille with 57,000 miles. I am at 63,000 miles so far and am happy compared to my Eldorado experience for a modest outlay of $5,000 plus an Eldorado with 97,000 miles and blown head gasket that would have cost $1,900 to repair.

Very good car, purchased new.just sold it at 80,000 mile.Car has classy appeal, secure ride. did have to replace alternator at 70,000 miles. On 3 occassions after driving in summer with A/C going , car unexpectly cut of while slowing down vehicle . First occurance in 98, and twice this year. Service could never duplicate problem. In spite of this I Personally like this car better than the recently purchased 2004 Model.

A really nice car even though it does not leave you feeling warm and fuzzy with the "service engine soon" light on, all of the time. I would not buy this car new but as a used vehicle, not bad. Tremendous highway vehicle. Great around town for a big car. Headlight problems after car wash ( what about the rain?). I like it but this car needs kid glove treatment to last. Not a car to throw into corners at 100 mph. Actually mine says "fuel cutoff" at 112 mph. Oh well, so much for the open highway. I would buy another one.

Cadillac has a long way to go to be considered in the same class as European automobiles. The soft ride and mediocre handling, although improved, do not bode well for Cadillac to seriously compete with other luxury marques. Dealers do not seem very helpful, which is unfortunate, since I've spent quite a bit of time there.

Bought in 2000 as pre owned certified.bought extened warrenty, and glad I did.Fuel sensors several times, electrical, steering rack, trunk leak 6 times. The list goes on and on. And lets talk about oil consumption that is unreal. And Cadillac sent a bulliton to the dealers to let them know it was acceptable, due to engine design. And now right after the warranty expires,a major oil seal leak. i called Cadillac directly and after several attempts was told thank you for buying Cadillac, but there is nothing we can do for you. All I know is my dream car became my nightmare and as much as I said I would not buy a Japaneese car, the next time I will.

I just bought this off some guy at what i thought was a great bargain until I drove it home. The computer does not stop with error messages: "service ride control", a/c refridgerent too low (even though I just filled it), my odometer stopped moving, my ac doesn't work anymore, my radiator leaks and I have only owned it three days!!! Above all, it won't go into fourth gear. On the highway, for example, it stays in third. Worst purchase ever. Should have kept my Town Car.

GM sold us a bill of goods here. As soon as the warranty was up (only 4 years) this p.o.s. started falling apart. The name CADILLAC used to mean quality that you could trust. I have seen nothing but problems with this car. From headlights literally falling off to fuel sensors or pumps or something shorting out IN the gas tank causing the electrical system to go haywire??? You tell me why I should pay over $40g for this again??? Very disappointed and of course GM says, "Thank you for purchasing a Cadillac and we appreciate your informing us of how to improve our products." Basically "screw you sucker. We got ours."

I love my car. I owned a Cadillac before this one and it saved my life. Will never own a compact car. Too many SUV's and I travel long distances. This car is a dream for travel and other passengers are comfortable in the back seat. Great features and it is a fun car to drive.Looks great and has great curb appeal. I agree with other reviewer...buy used, crazy to buy new. I did have to replace the transmission in 2000 and other minor things that were covered in my extended warranty. Worth the extra money and has paid for itself.

My car now has 67,000 miles and i now have the third raditor, second alternator, and the engine has been pulled twice for blown head gasket. I am a Bank official, and love the car but the northstar engine is not worth the money. The interior and the exterior are great and its a comfortable car to drive, but the engine gets a rating of 0. Dealership tells me its the aluminum block engine that is not strong enough to hold the head bolts without stripping out.

Have owned 3 Cadillacs; all had fluid leaks. '92 needed new transmission and water pump before 40,000 miles. 97 needed water pump at 45k miles and had 3 batteries. Then it started to stall but dealer couldn't find anything wrong. A/C came out of defrost vents at times. With cost of car, it should not be a problem. With supposed quality, a much longer warranty should be given.

Driving long distances is a pure joy, the comfort of the cockpit is wonderful. However when a little problem arrises, the Dealership has money signs in their eyes. The braking system in conjunction with the traction system is poor. The acceleration is good. Overall I would rather short term lease this car, because after 60,000 miles you are in no mans land.

Cadillacs are supposed to be well-made luxury vehicles. I've owned 3 and they have all had a fluid leak at less than 50,000 miles on all. My 1992 needed a new transmission at less than 40k miles, and my 1997 had oil leak and needed new water pump at less than 45k miles. 3 batteries in the 1997. Then, the a/c started blowing out the defrost vents. Noisy brakes, hestitating. Then it started stalling out. Car now gone.

As a former Mercedes SL driver and Porsche 911 driver, I was pleasantly surprised to have so much road feel in this Concours. The 300 HP also is a delight to drive. Was unhappy with the lack of an in dash CD player, however found a Bose on e-bay from a newer model and fits great (a dealer needs to re-code the deck). The body design is attractive, without the goggle eyed front end of the o1's

This Deville makes one quart of oil disappear every 1400-1800 miles ...considered within normal tolerance by Cadillac ...have seen this over and over again on internet sites. A truly free economy would produce an immediate corrective response by the manufacturer to their hoped-for future customers. However, car is very comfortable and still gets a reasonable 17-27 mpg for a 4,000 lb. car.
