With 12 years and close to 200k miles this veh. is not slowing down, it shows very well in side and out, you can really see the quality work in this veh.

This is the 3rd Landcruiser that I have owned. Previous models were '79 FJ40 and '88 FJ62. I have owned this Landcruiser since 8/99 when it had 72k miles. Now it has over 215k. I have replaced rotors one time (my labor), had rear engine seal replaced (mechanic), valve cover gasket replaced (my labor), shocks (my labor). Gets ~14mpg. Vehicle is stock, except for Goodyear 305/70/16 tires which have lasted over 80K miles. Still terrific!

Just bought this 1995 with 98150 on the clock. Unbelieveable how tight and rattle free this is. I am an ex 1999 Chevy Tahoe owner and while the Tahoe has more interior room and power, it lacks the manners, handling, and off road capability that the older Toyota has. I understand that this is the last year of the really heavy duty suspension. So far I would buy this vehicle again and again.

Add gas and go. The Toyota
Landcruiser has been easy to maintain
and easy on the wallet over the last
10 years. Basic wear and tear items
like brakes, batteries , tires and oil
changes were done at reasonable
intervals. Parts and service are
relatively inexpensive compared with
the 95 BMW 740il we spent a small
fortune on every year. It is a good
solid car. Fun to drive for being a
heavy truck and only having a 6
cylinder engine. Highly recommended
even for a ten year old car.

Eats brakes, poor gas mileage, but
best car I ever had. In over 100000
miles, the only thing that had to be
repaired was a blown head gasket.
Everything still works.

Just bought our '95 LC. It is so solid
with no squeeks or rattle. It is so
brawny and cool looking. Vehicle
weighs over 6400 lbs. ABS brakes and
airbags will protect my family. The
third row jump seats are great. You
can take them out or fold them up.
Great interior with all the needed
accessories with none of the stupid
ones that you don't need. Horrible gas
mileage but it is full time 4wd, so
what do you expect. Everyone says that
it needs more horsepower but I would
hate to see the gas milage with a V8.

I bought this truck with 150K miles on
it already and have put 25K more on it
in a short period of time. It has no
squeaks or rattles and drives like a
new vehicle. Despite the power leather
seats and moon roof (among other
creature comforts) it is quite capable
off the highway as well. You can't
beat Toyota for quality, and Land
Cruiser is the best Toyota makes.

If you require reliability 2nd to none
and a SUV that is overbuilt then this
is for you. The cup holders on this
year model are pretty useless and they
do go through brake pads about every
15,000 miles. Good aftermarket support
so you can upgrade and get more miles
out of your brakes. Lots of torque to
get you where you want to go and
handling on and off road with the All
Wheel Drive is outstanding.

The Land Cruiser is the ultimate in that it is legendarily reliable at all times. It is as comfortable in the city (power, economy, ride, size, braking, etc.) as any other SUV but the ultimate off-road. It is very steady and built like a tank.
