I recently aquired my 95 RRC SWB, Beluga Black from the San Diego, Ca. area & did drive it back to the S.F. Bay area (8.5 hour drive) without any issues. I had been wanting one for the past 12 years & I finally got it. My plans are to repair, replace(parts) & restore this beautiful classy rig to brand new condition. Spring/Bilstein conversion has been completed & Borla exhaust from the headers back were added. I was shocked to find out,the 3.9L engine, along with exhaust system gave it plenty of power providing 20-21MPG in freeway driving hauling 3 adults+luggage. Also noticed multiple looks in the aesthetics department. Will need replacement of gaskets, as it's leaking oil+a few relays.

Bought it last year with 115,000 miles. Very few problems so far. The 1995 model year has a few quirks, such as air bags that make it very difficult to add aftermarket grill guards and other things. Added a roof rack, an ax, and some other goodies. Great stereo.

Beware of 2 major problems with the 95 Rover: engine leaks and electrical malfunctions/failures. The keyless entry also leaves something to be desired. The performance is comparable to other SUVs in its class and I have found in most 95s the air- suspension has already been converted to the traditional coil (with no problem) due to problems early on. Overall, it is a beautiful vehicle inside and out, but with age come problems; this is a very high maintenance vehicle. I am very attached to my Rover, but it comes with its share of problems.

I use my Range Rover to tow large Swiss Army trucks. It is a work truck with lots of luxury appointments. Airbags are great riding feature.

I purchased this vehicle not long ago with 67k miles on it. The built quality is superb. Performance is good, comfort is amazing, especially rear seat on LWB. Styling is unique and solid looking. EAS is convenient feature for in and out. Routine maintenance will keep this rolling for 200-300k miles, no problem!

I have my Rover now for 5 years and
have a total of 200,000 original miles
on the odometer. Everything is still
original, tight and strong. Same
engine, intact transmission,
differentials. Start and go. The
interior still looks and smells new.
Typical early problems were air
suspension and driver window mechanism.
Other thans that, great vehicle! I
upgraded to new 19 in wheels, wood
steering and 2002 lights. Better than
my Mercedes and BMW. Stately, subtle
and classy without being boastful.

I purchased a used '95 Range Rover LWB
10 months ago with 95k miles.
Body/interior were in good condition
and mechanically it was very good.
I've had no mechanical problems (yet).
I try to use it only for camping/off-
roading and ski trips. It's been
difficult to limit driving time to just
those trips as the car is comfortably
spacious and reassuring to drive.
The car really does deliver that "magic
carpet ride" when driving off-road.
The sound system is excellent. The
breaking is superb. I drove it to
Tahoe and back in a snow storm and
while others were tossed about by the
winds, we rode comfortably through.
Love the heated windshield.

Purchased new, this vehicle has been
enjoyable to drive but at a price!
Those shy to maintenance should avoid
this SUV. My extended warrany
more than paid for itself. I would
hightly recommend one for any hight
end SUV. Rust on the bonnet and
tailgate need to be checked regularly
as well as front brakes. Fluid leaks
were a problem early on but were
successfully fixed 5 yrs ago. Rear
seat room is tight and rear door
handles are tricky to reach. I wish I
got the LWB instead but this is great
truck none the less. I'm looking for a
2003 Range Rover now!

I have owned my Range Rover for only a
few months now, and I bought mine
used, obviously. I have had no
problems, nor hints of any problems.
It drives better than any SUV I have
ever been in, handles like a sports
car. I shouldn't even have to get in
to it's off-road capabilities which,
by the way, are amazing. I was told,
being a recent college graduate I
shouldn't buy one, because of their
maintenance record, and expense to
maintain. I'm am certainly glad I
didn't listen. The 1995 Range Rover
County LWB is my favorite of all the
Land Rovers ever made, and I couldn't
be happier with mine.

My father originally purchased this
car for himself, but gave it to me for
my 18th birthday, and let me tell you
what a blast this car is. It is one of
those cars that set one apart from the
rest, whether its blasting your
friends in a friendly off-roading
excursion (yes i do take it into the
wild frontier), or crusing on a friday
with a full car, I love driving it.
The killer stock sound system was
surprising, and I love both the awe
factor and functionality of the air
springs. The only bummer with it is
the killer gas milage, but thats what
anyone with an SUV should expect.

Have had this baby since new. While it
is prone to needing repairs for the
oddest things (door latches fail and I
can't get out of the front door!), in
gneral it has not cost all that much
for repair.
For the first 5 years, it averaged
$35/month in repair/ maintenance
(including oil changes). For the last
few years, it's averaged ~$200-
300/month. Since it's paid for, this
is way less than a car payment (what
can you buy for this?). However, I'm
now on my 6th alternator in the past
year (all replaced under the new parts
warranty). So, it is high maintenance
and aggrevating sometimes, but is not
all that expensive on average.

Land Rover owners are cut from a
different cloth than most.You will
need to be able to do more than the
usual amount of maintence, but if you
want a vehicle to be totally
nonresponsive, quiet, reliable,
boring, then go elsewhere.These trucks
are for enthusiasts.They are awesome
on and off road.Love it or hate
it, it gets in your blood and will
stay there forever. The classic has the
body style to die for and the lwb
(large wallet base) is sheer joy for
its limo backseat space. I bought mine
and now the wife drives it. 'Nuff said.

Fantastic Land Rover. The last year
they built the RRC was the best in many
areas including EFI engine management
and interior (dashboard design -
borrowed from the Discovery and refined
for the RR). Actually, under the hood
boasts a variety of newer and improved
systems such as the ABS and the
emissions control. The interior is
retained, but slightly refined.
As a 5-time Land Rover owner, this fine
example of handbuilt-craftsmanship is
my choice of conveyance. Only a well-
priced Denfender could make me stray.

I have just sold my Rover after having
owned it for about 4 year. When this
car is running well and all electrical
items are functioning it's a blast.
It's incredibly expensive and
frustrating when things are not
operating. Be aware that being a Rover
owner is a HIGH maintenace and
expensive job.

I can't believe how inexpensive the
classic stlye Range Rover has gotten,
esp. years 1995 & prior. This vehicle
is awesome and full of luxury features
all standard. I'm very happy to
finally be a Rover owner. This vehicle
is a blast to drive.

I bought this vehicle used. The dealer
misrepresented the vehicle. It arrived
with damaged air suspension bags,
inoperative electrical motors to
windows and other obvious damage. After
spending $5000.00 in repairs to bring
the range rover up to state
requirements, it runs and drives
beautifully. The most comfortable
vehicle I have ever owned. Starts right
up, and moves when you want it to move.
The gas milage isn't that great, but
it's handling in snow and ice as well
as highway comfort makes it's
worthwhile.
