I bought my 95 GT in 1998 for $15k with 17K miles on it. Regular maintenance at 3K miles with only mobil1 synthetic oil. It now has 127K miles and after 14 yrs it needed the auto trans rebuilt. Motors for both pwr windows and driver seat needed replacing along with odometer/speedometer gear. Otherwise gr8 car. No takeoff with stock 2.73 gears. Now have 3.55 its way better. Avg 20 miles per gallon normal driving. Love interior and the cloth seats are comfortable and durable. Still looks new. Backseats fold down allowing transport of long objects. I love this body style and the car is solid and quiet inside. I recommend buying a mustang for fun and reliability over long term ownership.

Before I had a 94 mustang v6, and for years it ran great with minimal problems. Got into a car accident with it, and the insurance company totaled it. I used the money I got from it to get my 1995 GTS which are not very common, and I think this is the best purchase I ever made. I bought it with 151,000 on the clock. Original engine and tranny. Previous owner took very good care of it. I replaced all the fluids, spark plugs, filters etc. Iv'e put 7000 miles on it since I bought it and it's still running like new. The clothe seats are super comfy, and its fairly quick for an old 5.0. So far its a great car and I plan on having it for a really long time as I did my old mustang.

Car was purchased brand-new 17 years ago and was the first Ford product I had ever owned. Except for several build flaws from the factory, it has been trouble-free through 134,000 miles. It has been garaged the entire time and looks factory-new to this day. I do all the maintenance on the vehicle myself, including 3,000 oil/filter changes, tune-ups, tire rotations, and fluid changes. The A/C unit is powerful and efficient even in FL heat and humidity. The car gets exceptional mileage for a 150 HP engine (V-6 and auto. trans.) at Interstate speeds because of the car's high final drive ratio (about 1900 rpm's at 75 MPH), 30 mpg w/AC on and 32 with the system off. City mileage is only 15-20.

i have owned a 99 mustang before this i got hit it was totaled so i bought the 95 5.0 and this is a beauty although id like it to have a little more horsepower than 215 i can't complain because just having the 5.0 makes a big difference than a 4.6 in it handles ok i would like to see it handle better but it's a great ride and i will always have it until the doors fall off then ill fix it and keep it rolling when i bought it it had 87k miles i've put a lot on since i had it now it has 112 which is still very low i did just have a major service done to it and it's in flawless condition its my baby and i absolutely love it

I absolutely love my mustang. I got it when I was 17 in exchange for my stratus. I had to learn to drive a manual, but it was well worth it! It had 200,000 miles on it, a new engine, new transmission, and new clutch. I thought I was set, but when you have a car with that many miles, lots of other things can go wrong, but not a lot of expensive things when considering the mileage. I'm sick of taking it into the shop every time I come home from college and not much room for people and luggage, so I'm considering getting rid of it. It's fun to drive, great looking, and pretty good to me. I don't think it would be possible to buy another car as good for just $1500. Such a hard decision.

I owned this car. It was a great car. Fun to drive. Very little problems for as old as it is. I was involved in an accident however and the car is now totaled. I do miss it. Side impact, if anyone is wondering, this car is safer than you can imagine. Built very strong and very safe. I will miss the mustang and am contemplating buying another one in the near future.

I have been beyond impressed with my 2 door V6 coupe. The odometer quit at 220k and I admit I am rougher on cars than I should be~but she just keeps going. The only problems I have had was the water pump went out,but I noticed the indicator leak and fixed it,the odometer and the driver's seat motor. This has been one of the best vehicles I have ever owned, and I only paid $1500!

First the paint went bad. Then the air conditioning went bad. Transmission went bad twice and needed replacement. Then the door locks and windows broke. Both windows stopped going up and down within a week’s time. It wasn't too bad on gas when it was running but overall it was a ford and had many problems. I almost forgot the speedometer was intermittent and the odometer stopped working. I would have been better off scraping it when the first transmission went bad.

I purchased this car from the gamble that is a police auction. It was abused, torn up, and had 158k+ miles. It took very little TLC to get this car back and running, and it ran strong through 170k miles. The only serious problem I ran into was the engine module going out, but it was only a $150 fix. Other than that my mustang ran beautifully. It started well through the Minnesota Winter (I know, I know! My beater died out midway!) and handled relatively well in the snow for being a rear wheel drive car. Overall the car was a dream, and I would highly recommend that model to anyone who is looking into buying one.

This car has been a pleasure to own. I had an Acura before pruchasing my Ford, and I was a bit apprehensive about the reliability I would experience. It has been quite a pleasant surprise. I have owned it since it was 7 miles old and I have not had a problem that I did not cause. This car will haul and after owning it for 10 years, I took it to Germany and got to experience driving that I never thought I would get to, for many years. It held it's own with the BMWs, Mercedes, Porches and Ferreri's. I even took it out on the Hockenheim Race Ring and it was the best 20 euro I have ever spent. The hardest miles driven began at 110,000 for the 3 years there and have had no problems to this day.

I have had my Mustang for a little over 3 years. It has been through a lot, it was originally a 3.8, but I can't stand that engine, it's crap. So I put a 5.0 in it and love it. I'm going to put a lot of money in it in the near future. I believe it should have more performance from all the talk, but it is ok and it has a lot of potential. If the money is put into it smart, then it can be one of the finest looking cars around. And I only gave 3,500$ for mine.

I have owned 3 Mustangs in the past and this one is my favorite. The 5.0 is bullet-proof and with only Flowmasters and a K&N air filter, it rocks. What a beautiful sound the exhaust system gives. I love it. No problems at 123,000 miles. I keep up the oil and filter changes at 3000 miles and drive it maintenance free. It is a fun car. Take it from a 4 time BMW owner.

Bought it new in 95. Drive it daily. What a great car. First warm day the top goes down. I never expected a Ford to be as reliable as this. 100k miles and no major problems. Maintain the engine and wash & polish. Car runs and looks new. Added a K&N open air filter and added 5 miles on the highway. Make sure you get Blizzaks for the winter.

I own a '95 GT Mustang. It is the 8th Mustang to sleep in the stable. After owning 6 foxes and a 4.6GT, this is with out a doubt my favorite of the bunch. It is extremely reliable, as all 5.0s have been for me. The interior is nice and comfortable. The car rides great and gets pretty good gas mileage. I usually get about 295 miles a tank with mine. And that’s with 3.73 gears. The only downfall I see with the mighty 5.0 is, in stock form, it’s underpowered. It’s a good base to start with 225hp and there are plenty of aftermarket parts to make these cars scream. I have no complaints and highly recommend any one buy a 5.0.

I purchased my mustang from a neighbor. I didn't realize it was a GTS until after purchase -- oh what a steal; one of 6000+ and only 197 of color combo and transmission. Very special car! I did a few modifications, pulleys, BBK intake, 3.55 Gears and complete tuneup. Smoking fast 0-50 4 valve Cobra runner. Great aftermarket; watch out if can become addictive. I would recommend this vehicle to anyone who doesn't need to drive in the snow.

Low-end grunt of the pushrod 302 is tons of fun, especially on city streets. With a few well selected, simple modifications, the car absolutely comes to life, while maintaining it's reliablity, and daily driver ease. The factory brakes are solid, interior and exterior design are solid, handles solid. The gas mileage around town is ok, but in it's pretty good on the freeway, getting about 24 mpg. I would recommend this car to anyone, it has been great for me. No other car offers this combination of performance, looks, reliablity, and comfort for the price.

It's fun to drive and it being the last year of the fabulous 5.0 engine, I'll never get rid of it. This is the best car I've ever owned. I will never buy another import. I've bought 4 other Fords since I got my 'stang and I've never had a bad one yet.

Highway Miles between Douglasville Georgia, to Athens Georgia, to Birmingham, Alabama where I have now moved. I travel alot so the car stays parked in a Valet Parking, Covered Lot at the Atlanta Airport. This car will run with the Big dogs, last of the big engines. It will top out about 150 mph. Because of modifications, Struts, 18 " tires, high speed brakes, and 3000 mile service it's entire life, the Mustang is in excelent shape. Looks new.

For only owning my '95 for 11 months, I sure miss it now....purchased in 2002, the car served me well while I had it...most comfortable seats in a sports car I've experienced. GREAT gas milage, didn't realize this untill i purchased my 98 Maxima and it had worse, which was unexpected. Bought the car with no spoiler and hubcaps, but once a new model spoiler was put on (which actually looked charmingly original) and the GT wheels, the car was beautiful! Great car, mustang is a classic design any year.

Very reliable. If I were really resious about the car, I'd probably do something about the suspension ass it does bounce around on rough curvy roads. The sound sysem is great.

It's been 9 years since i got this 5.0 Mustang GT... it's too bad that i had to buy automatic transmission... so far in 9 years it had one major problem and few minor problems... such as winshield wiper motor, rattling sounds from doors and shocks when driving on the rough streets...and the biggest one was the transmission... which i think it's got to do with automatic transmission in 200+HP 5.0 liter engine equiped sports car..... (i guess automatic transmission couldn't handle the way i drive...) except from these problem car is still running fine and it certainly is not out of fashioned for 9 year old car...

I've put money and time into things I just don't feel I should have. At 60k, head gaskets blew and destroyed the engine (3.8 litre). The window switch went out so that I can't use the single push feature and had to bypass that circuit for manual operation. Design flaws lead to broken turn signal wires. An AC line leak cost over $650. All this before even hitting 95k miles! I'm feeling very disappointed in Ford and in my Mustang.

I have a 120,000 miles on this guy and I have to say I'm pretty happy. I had the gasket thing [but they fixed it for free]. I spend probably on average about 400 in extra repairs each year - which I include stuff like breaks and windshield wipers. I got my transmission fixed at 27,000 [while under warenty], and I haven't had anything major since. The car works fine 51 weeks out of the year, but recently the A/C is causing my car to overheat and I need new struts so things are starting to catch up. I love my car though and I think we'll make it to 200,000 miles. Still has great pickup and lots of fun as long as you're not in the back seat.

I bought my 1995 gt conv. brand new off the show-room floor in '94, it now has 160,000 miles. The only major problem it has had was that the manual transmission went out at roughly 100,000 mi.(I was suprised it lasted that long. I use my cars hard!) The car even gets okay (highway) gas mileage with it having a 5.0L v-8 under the hood. Love the smooth curves and lines on the interior and exterior. MACH 460 sound system makes driving with the top down a blast.

I LOVED my car eventhough I seemed to have to do more to keep it running. Until the head gasket blew. The mechanic told me the 3.8 V6 was famous for this defect! I'll never own another Ford

I can't say enough about the reliability of the car. Today it has over 120,000 miles with no major engine work to date. The performance of the V- 8 engine is great and the handling is outstanding. You can't take curves on snowy roads at 50 mph but on dry pavement it hugs the road like you hug your best girl. The four wheel anti- lock disk brakes stop the car fast when you need to without fading or pulling. The fuel economy is not the best, but who buys a Mustang GT for fuel economy?. One thing I wish was better is the leg room. The back seat is usable only by small children and pets, but are you looking for a fun to drive sports car or a family sedan?

One of the greatest cars ever made. The 5.0L v8 gives it enough under the hood for any everyday use and then some. Gas is okay, if you don't drive an hour to work and back. I havn't had my mustang very long, and honestly it's only my second car, but it has yet to fail me. Great buy for anyone who wants a less expensive car with real muscles.

Not all that I had hoped for.

Well, how do I say this nicely, it's a Ford. Maybe I was spoiled from driving Hondas and Toyotas for so many years, but this 95 Gt is a clunky, noisy, poor handling(especially in bad weather), likely to break down at any minute, type of car. I read alot of articles featuring the Mustang as the "ultimate muscle car", and wanted something with a litle go-fast, so I bought a 95 Mustang GT ( the last year of the 302). Even thought the aftermarket is huge for this vehicle, I would be nervous making it any faster because it might rattle apart. From what I've seen, this is typical unrefined Ford engineering..oh well.

I bought the car with only 72,000 miles on it and I expected it to give me trouble-free enjoyment for at least another 40,000. Unfortunately, the car broke down 3 months later (and cost $800 to fix) and broke down every 3 months after that, at similar costs. Never buy a FORD. In all I've put $2,500 in that car on repairs in 1 damn year. Oh, and it depreciated like a mother in that same year, funny how that works. I feel sorry for all those idiots who are still buying new Fords.

After driving it for like a month, I started noticing all kinds of squeaks, the cheap cheap ultimate cheap interior materials, and my multifunction switch blew. I have noticed that almost all domestic brand vehicles use very cheap interior materials. Take a look at the foregin brand cars, they use good quality materials and it is build tight! And please, change the interior design of the Mustangs... Ford hasn't redesigned their dull interior design in almost 7 years! I absolutely hate domestic cars, I will never ever get one again. Companies like GM and Ford should learn from companies like Honda or Toyota

I bought my 95 GT Coupe with 107,000 miles on it for $4800. It was in dire need of a detail job which I did myself in a day. This is my third Mustang, I previously owned a 85 and a 91, both with the 5.0L v8. I'm into performance and for the money a 302 based Mustang can not be beat. Aftermarket is huge, the car will EASILY go 300,000 miles with regular maintanence and a bit of care. Both of my other stangs had over 200,000 miles on the odometer when I sold them. I will never buy another american car other than a 87-95 Mustang!

The only thing about this car is that it looks good. Other than that plan on replacing the heads or totally getting a new engine. I will never purchase a Ford again due to their lack of informing that my engine could have defects or them totally giving me the run around when I called to get my vechile fixed. I ended up replacing the engine myself because I was just a few miles over the recall amount. I have had both! It's not worth it in the long run, trust me don't let your heart buy your mind and wallet a nightmare.

While the 'stang is fun to drive the reliability of it is another thing. I have had to replace a head gasket and a sensor went out and at times it wouldn't start?! Transmission trouble as well. It has a great engine and the ride is good for a sports coupe.

Top of the line Fords appear to be a greater value. Plus get this last year for a proven 5.0L configuration in a Mustang - classic. My attempt to save money by purchasing a 'cost efficient' 1995 Ford Mustang with a 3.8L V6 and weaker 7.5" transmission was a huge and costly error. If you are still considering a low-end model at least research it from Edmunds, NHTSA, and Consumer Affairs before making a commitment.

I first purchased my 95 Mustang in 2001, I am all for racing. But when you go off the line you better watch out, even thou the acceleration is good, the flaw is the back end tends to nudge out to the left when you are redlining. I would suggest to put a higher redline tacometer in this vehicle with a little bit more horses and a tigher axle. Other than that im gunna win

W/ the 5.oL V8 its been alot of fun to drive and race my best 1/4mile time so far has been a 14.7 @ 93MPH. All my friends have camaros and Lt1 corvettes, and things always brake. I recommend Ford #1

i first purchased this vehicle expecting a sporty reliable car with 54k miles. at 56k miles, the exhaust was shot including the cats, at 58k miles the head gaskets blew, which was a costly and time consuming repair. turned out the gaskets were installed incorrectly, and ford knew. owner notification was initiated a few months later, with an apology, and an offer for reimbursment, good, but not as good as my moms toyota with 140,000 miles and no engine trouble.
