I bought this car new, actually drove it off the showroom floor. I now have just over 238,000 miles on it and it is still running strong. The only things I have done to it other than normal maintenance, is a new top after 13 years, (mostly garage kept) a fuel pump, and a distributor stator. What a great car! It's now over 21 years old and I hope to have it for another 21 years.

All I can say is wow. Car was bought as a wreck from an insurance company. Had some panel damage but the airbags originally killed the car. Fixed it up and got it back on the road. It has been in 6 wrecks since then and been rebuilt every time at a fairly cheap cost. The thing won't stop kicking. Car is fun to drive. The rack-and-pinion steering in this car means you are directly connected to the road, no power steering in your way. Just you and the road. The car has plenty of zip. When the car shifts above 50, you will find yourself trying to slow the thing down, it wants to go fast. The heater in the car is powerful, it will heat the car fast. The a/c is like a normal car. Great car in all.

I have owned and driven my car since day one when she came off the truck. She only has 70000 miles on her. It is only driven in the nice weather because our Indiana winters can be harsh on the car because of the salt and also the bigger tires on the vehicle. We took it to the 45th anniversary in Birmingham and she performed very well on the track and proved that she could give the more powerful Mustangs a run for the money. It was not a timed thing but just a chance to be on a spectacular road course. It has been a fun car to drive for 15years and still looks excellent inside and out. No she is not for sale.

Bought this car used at 10 years old. Still looked good for its age. The car road bad, but later fixed this (new springs, shocks/struts). Parts are cheap and it can be made to go fast cheap. Car had zero rattles until I drove around with no exhaust for a while. Gas mileage stunk big time.

I have owned my GT since 1997 arguably the most reliable American made car I have ever owned and that Ford has deisgned and manufactured. I have replace clutch and pressure plate and brakes. regular oil changes and I bought it with 15,000 miles on the odometer it now has 230,000 and counting never replaced engine;it still turns head and can still giddyup!

This would be my second mustang. My first car was a 93 celica which was ok but proof that japanese cars are no better than american ones with the 3rd engine that had pinging, leaking head gasket, plenty of burned oil, and more at 75,000 ish miles with the 1.8 corolla engine which is supposedly a reliable engine. The next one was a 97 Mustang V6 with the t-5 5 speed manual trans. The only work I had to do was I had to change the window actuator and that was about it. I sold it when I found oil in the coolant(the dreaded head gasket) at 147,000 miles and said bye to it. Now I have a 94 GT with a performance intake manifold, intake, exhaust, underdrive pulleys, and plenty more and its FUN&fast!

Even 15 Years later a GREAT Car

Bought a 94 GT with the 5.0 V8 and AODE Tranny with 28k Miles on the clock, now not even 1 year later i have little more than 40k miles on the clock, because its a blast to drive. Powerfull even with the 2.73 Gears, could be quicker on the line but its because of the LOOONG gears, swap with 3.73s or 4.10s and you think you add a power adder ;)

i have owned my 1994 mustang gt for close to 4 years.it has 200,000 miles on it now and counting on original motor{although oil changes are religious}. it has jegs headers, offroad h pipe, flowmaters, under drive pulleys, bigger injectors, luke pro gold racing clutch,3.73 gears, rebuilt world class t-5 transmission, bbk cold air intake, msd distributor and coil,a jet module and no smog pump! the car runs excellent.i have only had to replace the tranmission{my fault} and the a/c pump.i run the hell out of my car and street race it and it takes it in stride.its very reliable and also use to drive me to work 1 hour each way.starts in -4 degree weather. doesnt over heat.wont blow up!

Bought my Canary yellow 1994 Mustang GT 5 speed from my brother in 2007 and have loved owning it. Not the fastest stock, but throwing in say 3.73s made a huge difference. The car has never given me an issue besides a dead starter in the past 2 years. I love driving the car, it is a blast and very comfy ride. That being said, Some interior parts seem very useless(ash tray). Overall, I am very happy with my purchase and would never give it up unless it was for a better Stang

Every car I drove before this one was a GM product, and I knew something was missing. Then, one day my little brother show her to me. Since October of 2003 I have been a proud owner of my Stang. Bone stock when I bought it, but since then have put in a Tremec Trans. BBK tuned headers. flowaster exhuast from headers back. BBK air intake and 430 gears. Still my daily driver, and it's the greatest car I've ever owned. Only problems ever was the trans. (my arrogance), tie rod end, and radiator. There was a recall on the emergency brake kit, but not a big deal.

Here it goes, bought it with 110k miles and had a lot of fun in college (don't buy a red one and expect not to get tickets!!) At 170 around I replaced the clutch after driving it in 2nd and 4th for a while. Then the power steering blew up one day and that cost another $700 to replace. Other than those at 220k miles the computer malfunctioned and although the shop quoted me $800, I got a refurbished computer for $100 at kragens and did the work for less than $200. That engine had the oil changed every 3k miles on the dot! but i really neglected it after about 190k. I sold it at 240k and it's still on the road, original engine!

Awesome car! Definitely the funnest car I've ever owned. It'll put you sideways before you can blink. To some people that sounds horrible, but for those who like speed it sounds great. I've found that parts are somewhat more expensive than they should be, I think it's because alot of people own Mustangs so the prices are jacked up.

Purchased from original owner who took very good care of it. Live in S. Florida and dash isnt even cracked! Due to gas cost I use it mainly for weekend toy. This is my 4th 'stang and by far my favorite! Could use some interior design changes, but performs very well, and plenty of power just the way it is. Only change has been the flowmaster exhaust I had installed. I wouldnt sell it for nothing. I plan to carefully maintain and keep for long time! My son is 13, and hopefully get to enjoy driving it also! Gets lots of compliments!

This is my third Mustang, but my first GT. I purchased this GT for $5,000 and I have put another $4,000 into it. It's now a gorgeous car and fun to drive. It's my sunny-day-only car, so the mileage stays low. I've had to do some engine and exhaust work on it, new paint and rims and some other cosmetic things, but other than that it's a pretty sound vehicle. I won't be selling it any time soon. I really love this car!

I bought my car in may 06, im the 7th owner. I got it as stock from factory. I did not have any issue with this, but not a 100% reliable car though. I did replace the clutch (little noise but worked well) and besides that trouble free. I'm very happy with this car because there are lots of aftermarket stuff for it. I have cold air intake, all MSD ingnition, undredrive pulleys, headers, spacer for the maninfold and 3.73 gears. the car runs ways faster than stock wiht this. In fact, I wouldn't be happier driving a newer or more expensive car

Bought this car new and it served 7 years as our only car. We carried dogs, lumber and christmas trees in her. I added underdrive pulleys and a K&N FIPK. She gave me almost 30 mpg on the highway (at legal speeds at least). Now she is a toy with subframe connectors, new MAC exhaust from the motor back including the powerchamber, 3.73 rear gear, more racey seats. The Dyno run gave us 285hp (215 from the factory) with 117,000 on the odometer. I love this car and will keep it until I pass it on to my son. Glad I didn't buy the Camaro that we looked at! Going to have Carrol Shelby sign the glove box cover this fall!

Having 3 different Mustang types I find the 94 convertible GT a real nice ride. Tight road handle solid off the line. Need to make a few mods to get some more performance without breaking the bank. No rattles and engine runs strong. Cupholder is in a bad spot.

I bought this car in 1996 and only had to replace the water pump at 80,000 miles. Other things needed work but were accidents like road debris, etc. When the car reached 103,000 miles, it was still running strong with no problems other than wear and tear parts like brakes and the clutch. But, I tore it down and now it still looks the same, but makes BIG power.

Ultra reliable... bought car with 92k, replaced water pump. Replaced a Tie rod and U-Joint at 175k. Car now has 192k on it. Other than wear items like tires and suspension, I've only spent $200 or so to keep it running. I could not be happier with it. I tell all my friends that the car is self healing, since I rarely ever have to work on it.

I was so excited when I found my dream car in my favorite color (I have the rare Iris anniversary color..a pink/purple) but the car has been nothing but a nightmare. At 116k my head gaskets blew. Other replacements: power steering pump, thermostat, thermostat housing, entire exhaust system, wires controling the head lights, and more. I love this car, it's fun to drive, but now that it's finally running great I'm going to get rid of it before something else goes wrong.

I have changed the oil every 2500 miles and had to do just maintenance work and that is it. My major complaint is the gasoline consumption. Gasoline goes very fast with this car. Not a good car to commute to work. You will dry out your wallet. Also, tires are extremely EXPENSIVE!!!!!!!!! Cheapest tires I have been able to purchase are $100! >>> EACH!!!! Expensive! Interior >>> not roomy at all. If you are tall, I don't recommend this car for you.

I bought this car in 99. A 2 dr Coupe, 3.8 V6. It has been a total nightmare experience. I bought it from a gal, that had previously bought it from a good friend. I had to get a rebuilt transmission after I hit 79,000 miles, then it was a water pump, then 2 thermostats and then at 99,595 it blew a head gasket going down the highway. I put a rebuilt enigne in it and soon had to replace the theromstat again. This car has cost me a fortune and thank god for the other day I ran into a deer which did some minor damage, but deployed the airbags and they totaled it out.

Excelle for a car that's 9 years old!!!!

I have just purchased a used 1994 Ford STD Mustang Coupe. And man I'll tell you it is a great car! I did own a 1993 Hyundai Sonata prior to this vehicle. I have had the best time of my driving life in this car, I am only 18. All of my friends want rides in it, its red so I'm constantly warned about Cops by my friends and family. It has over 80,000 miles on it and runs like it is new. The seats in the car are the most comfortable ever. Great speed and good pickup, I'll keep this car in top shape and hopefully one day be able to sell it for more than I bought it for.

Will never buy a Ford again!

This car has been nothing but a burden to me. Everything seems to go wrong with it! I thought that this car would be different from other Ford's, but man was I ever wrong! This has got to be one of the most unreliable cars I have ever owned. It may look nice on the outside, but if you decide to buy one, be prepared to spend lots of money on repairs! Just in my first year of ownership, I have spent over $2000 in repairs!! My next car is DEFINITELY going to be Japanese (or at least GM)

AWESOME CAR!

Great first car, but don't get the AODE transmission...sloppy shifting and not convincingly reliable. Otherwise the 5.0 will run forever with the regular oil change.

What a wonderfull car...I think it's the most aestetic model ever...but again that's just me. I love the car, it's black on black vert. Drives well, handles well and responds well to modifications due to the 5.0. I prefer the 5.0 (94~95) models to the early 4.6 (96~98). It took ford till the 99 model to wake the 4.6 up...Oh, and the leather seats are sooooo comfortable...

Never Again!!

This car has ruined my opinion on sports cars. I consistently dumped money into expensive repairs ($1-2k per year) and could not wait to get out of it.

I bought this car last year as a make due car. I've been driving it for about a year now and have high hopes to still drive it in the years to come. I've had some problems with the top but as far as performance it's a dream car. As a female owner I must also say this car is easy on the pocketbook as long as you keep up yhe basics (Oil change and Tune ups. Highly suggested as a statrter car for thhose going off to school.

I'm 16, its my first car, it was my dads for a short time and has sat in the garage for a while only coming out for weekend drives and for upgrades i have been doing. It handles great, great pickup, lots of torque, comfy, really fun to drive i only wish it was a 5 speed.

This is a magnificent vehicle. Ford has really outdone itself once more with the '94 Mustang GT. I have a coupe version, if it matters. It is fun to drive and great for picking up the ladies.

When people look in the dictionary for the word venerable, they should see a picture of a Mustang right above it. I purchased my 1994 Ford Mustang GT coupe in May 2001 with 59,000 on the clock. I owned it until November at which time it had 65,000 and was totalled by a major collision on the interstate. While I owned it, I have never had more fun inside, outside, or around another car. It has fantastic performance which is easily upgradable, plush comfort especially with leather seating, and timeless good looks.

Still the Best!

Back when I was looking at this Mustang I was pretty weary of even considering buying it. It already had 83,000+ miles on it. It was an emotional purchase to say the least, but I'm thrilled with what I've got. Now that the "thrill" has worn off, I'm left with a car that has never once broken down and needed only minimal, and by that I mean a tune-up, repairs. The ride is excellent! Above average power and the joy of knowing I'm driving a piece of American Culture. Truly the best pony car out there!
