Had to wait 14 years to find my dream car but this is it. I wanted one when I graduated HS in '92 now I found one with 58,000 miles and in perfect condition. Great American car.

This is the best and nicest car I've owned to date. Sure, it has a few upgrades, but that's also what makes this car amazing. It has an incredibly large aftermarket that supplies Mustang enthusiasts with high quality yet affordable parts. My GT came with: Cobra intake manifold/Cobra 65mm throttle body, headers, catted h pipe, catback, lowered, welded subframe connectors, upper/lower HD rear control arms, Tokiko shocks, short throw shifter, HD clutch, 3.55 gears, MSD 6A ignition, more. These mods made it handle like it's on rails, and beat EVOs and SRT-4s whenever I feel like it.

I purchased my Stang in Sept. 2004 for a weekend driver. I am very pleased with the 2.3l. I have replaced the stock rims with a set of 17 inch Cobra R wheels with 245/45/17 tires on them. Have entered it in a couple car shows so far. I will purchase another Mustang if this one ever wears out. Good driver. Gets lots of looks on the road,

I bought this '92 LX 5.0 in November. This car has been rock solid. Everyone notices a nice body. The T5 is a good tranny but I would recommend a Tremec for any hard drivers. The 5.0 will throw you back into your seat. With a 2.73 rear end I manage to get about 21 mpg combined driving and I've gotten up to 26 mpg on a 600 mile trip. Not a performance gear but good for a daily driver.

When I purchased this vehicle 5 years it was with the intention of just using it for pleasure. I have done some cosmetic work to the car since I have owned it such as replace the yellowed headlights, carpet and stereo. Mechanically the only thing I have done is the routine up keep. Oil changes etc. 2.3L is a very reliable motor but not the most powerful, though it does move the car around nicely. The car is thirteen years old and runs like a charm. I am a die hard Mustang fan and would recommend owning one.

I bought this Mustang a few years
ago. It has brought me years of
driving pleasure, I wouldn't dream of
parting with it. The fuel pump went
out a few months after purchasing it
but other than that the car has been
flawless.

An honest, fun, and dependable car.
One watre pump in 94,000 miles and
still running on the original clutch.
The engine just goes and goes and goes
and the manual transmission is rock
solid. Everything works the way it
should, but it is a convertible.
There will be squeeks and wind noise,
but nothing beats it with the top down
and that low rumble coming from the
5.0 liter V8!

If there ever was a car that made me
say, "Damn, that's nice," this is it!
I was so "in love", my wife and I
bought the car in Phoenix and drove it
home to Oklahoma City. Its been my
baby ever since. I was surprised with
how well made this car was, being a
convertable with only minor few
rattles. Also, being a five-speed sure
boosts the "fun factor" through the
roof!

Bought very good conditions. Rear is
too light, I spun once. Now, I buy
Traction AA tires. Although, seat is
uncomfortable and interiors are
somewhat cheap detailed, it is a fun
car to drive. Very strong engine.
Brakes do not match the power this
vehicle has. The 1992 Ford 302 cid /
5.0 engine is very reliable with all
cast iron w/ forged pistons! T-5 Stnd
Trans is not that strong if you are
a "Power User". TREMEC 3550 trans is a
very good replacement, though. Also,
there are plenty of diff types of
replacement parts for this car OEM and
aftermarket.

but so far it hasnt given me any
problems yet. It is good on gas and
has a strong motor. Ive replaced the
stock air intake with a performance one
and the exhaust as well. The pickup on
this thing is great. compared to the
escort GT i owned before this, its a
new and better ballpark.

There are fewer joys in this world
better than dropping the top down on
any convertable. But you drop the top
on a GT and its go time!! With all of
the after market goodies you can buy, I
recommend this car to anyone who wants
a great car with loads of upgrade
potential, or even leave it stock or
near-stock and still have a kick ass
good time!

I bought my mustang with a 2.3 and
within a week I had to rebuild the
transmission, buy a new starter, power
steering pump. So basically this car
has killed my thought of ever owning a
Ford again.Next car will definitly be a
Dodge.

The car runs great with a
2.3L, I had to replace the air pipe
just for preference of air flow, the
list of repairs: Starter, alternator,
timing belt, battery, front brake pads,
clutch cable, master cylinder (still
don't know if it actually needed it
though), Brake preassure splicer, door
handle, center console peices, twice.
The rotors are now warped and I think
theres something wrong with the
differential. I think whoever had the
car before me didn't take care of it.

This is the second Mustang I have
owned, the first being an '86 LX 5.0.
Both cars are very similar and I have
over 180,000 on each. They are rock
solid reliable until about 160k mi when
the TFI ($45), Heater Core ($40), and
Water Pump ($45) should be changed. At
170k, you're looking at a rebuilt trans
($750). The engine and heads should
exceed 200k mi. Struts and springs
hold up well past 200k mi. The car
easily revs past 5500 rpm and while the
220hp is matched by many modern cars,
the 215lb/ft of torque at 4000rpm is
not matched by many. Since torque is
felt and HP seen, the fun is in the
gobs of low-end torque.

What can i say that hasn't allready been mentioned about this great little car.
For starters, in it's time it was the best bang for the buck, and still is
( have you read about the 03 cobra !!). Combnation of V8 pwr. and 5 spd.
trans. makes this a FUN CAR TO DRIVE. Put the top down and you have
instant bliss.Fox body style ending in 93 is by far the most sought after body
with Mustang junkies.Seat of the pants excleration on tap, matched with
respectalbe handling makes this a sleeper of a car at the track and the red
light. I f your looking for import style. and ride this is not the car for you. If flat
out hrs. pwr. is your styly at a blue colar buget that look no farther !

I have a 92' LX Coupe and have never had a problem with this car. I have driven through rain, snow, and sand, and you would never know it. The car has a strong engine (as far as 2.3L/105hp go), is reliable, and has the best looking body (88'-93')of all mustangs. Its ok on fuel(370 miles per tank highway, 200 city or 24/13). Over the years maintenance has been affordable...and that is the key. Oil changes and fixing problems as they occur has kept this car in mint condition. The only problem that I have consistently is that the steering wheel vibrates over 60 mph. But lucky for me my 2.3L doesn't make it much past there.
