  • Jack reviewing SR5 4dr Double Cab 5.0 ft. SB (2.4L 4cyl Turbo 8A)

Excelente diseño, potente, robusta y economizadora de combustible, para mí, la mejor opción

  • Joe Everyman reviewing TRD Sport 4dr Double Cab 5.0 ft. SB (2.4L 4cyl Turbo 8A)

Started looking 8-9 months ago and researched the Frontier, Canyon and Colorado. Nothing against them but the Tacoma is better in my opinion. TRD Sport 2wd with upgrade package. Power seats and lumbar, heated seats and steering wheel, giant 14 inch center console screen, trailer tow package, power rear window, running bar, etc. Rambling comments, seats are comfy enough, I'm 6 foot and have about 2 inches clearance from the roof, audio is great, dash speaker pops out if needed. There is a speaker and microphone above you in the roof for calls, crystal clear. Plenty of cubbies. Back seat is tight but expected. Storage underneath. Power outlets, all kids, everywhere. No USB so pop for the USB/C/A cord package. Tailgate has an assist up and down. Feels bigger than it is. Visibility is limited, like a Tundra so I dropped the rear headrests. Came with lane departure, adaptive cruise, auto breaking (I disabled it, it freaks out too early when your behind someone, rear cross traffic. Drives smooth and quiet-ish. Rear springs are an improvement. Steering is effortless. Power is steady and measured but the turbo kicks in when needed. My commute is 33 miles highway and so far I get between 22-24 MPG, better than the Ram I had. Fit and finish are as expected, good. Underground color with gray/black interior. Wasn't sold on the white dash accents but it fits. Complaints, for lack of a better word, auto start/stop, don't care for it since it comes on every time you stop. Turn it off and don't push the brake hard and it won't come on automatically, dash alert will tell you. Back seat, again, is tight, but you know that if your considering getting one. Dealer had about 12-15 on the lot and negotiated a bit, at least I felt that way, haha..., anyway, just glad I waited until they were available. .

  • Simona reviewing SR5 4dr Double Cab 5.0 ft. SB (3.5L 6cyl 6A)

Overall I like the truck. The body design is good. One of my dislike is the rear sliding window it leaks when rains.

  • Timyak reviewing SR5 4dr Double Cab 5.0 ft. SB (3.5L 6cyl 6A)

Yes the brakes are grabby and the transmission does some weird shifting. But push the gas pedal and off it roars. The fuel pump was replaced on a recall at 40,000 and I’ve been getting 25 mpg ever since on the v6. Love the truck and I plan to have it for 10 more years.

  • Happy Camper reviewing SR 4dr Double Cab 4WD 5.0 ft. SB (2.4L 4cyl Turbo 8A)

Test drove all of the competition and for the first time I enjoyed the Tacoma more than the rest. I will say that the Ranger was a close second The good: Engine and transmission are tuned wonderfully , especially considering how clunky the V6 and 6 speed of the outgoing model were. Power is always on tap down low where everyday driving occurs. I haven’t had a stumble or any weird shifts. Buttons galore. If you have fingers you are probably a fan of buttons. Every function has a physical button and is intuitive to use. Safety sense 3 is executed well. The car from the factory with all driving assistance on can basically drive itself. If you aren’t a fan of Nannies like me then they are easy to disable permanently. Seats are miles ahead of the last generation. The lower back portion is firm and supportive without awkward placed lumbar. The base of the seat is soft which is the ideal setup. The seat bottoms are fairly long and tilted which offers tons of thigh support that feel similar to my M3. The ergonomics are excellent and you can drive with your arm rested on either the center console or the door rest comfortably. I’m 5’11” 180lbs so represent an average man pretty well. The handling with the new coil setup is a drastic improvement from the leaf sprung trucks of yesterday. The Electric steering is linear and smooth which makes highway jaunts low effort. The Cons: Toyota gets away with giving you less features in some areas than others because frankly they don’t have to , they know they will sell based on previous track records. The gas tank is too small and is only good for about 300 miles combined. The rear seat is still laughably small. Don’t plan on stuffing people back there regularly unless you just don’t like them. The air dam is goofy but removable . I took mine off immediately and noticed no issues with hitting window sticker MPG. Overall very happy with the Taco so far and looking inside the engine bay it looks fairly straightforward to maintain. They stuck with an air to air intercooler and traditional oil pump, plug changes should be a breeze, and it has that usual Toyota build quality where everything is neatly placed and routed with conduit.

  • Mike  reviewing TRD Off Road 4dr Double Cab 4WD 6.1 ft. SB (3.5L 6cyl 6A)

Loved my 2019 then bought a 2023 both TRD off road. 2023 felt like it couldn’t get out of its own way and RPM’s always climbed high before shifting on highways. Interior felt cheap almost all around. Owned about 13 months and traded for a F-150.

  • Dick B reviewing Limited 4dr Double Cab 5.0 ft. SB (3.5L 6cyl 6A)

difficult to get in and out for driver, brake and accelerator too close togethet, gear shifting diffivcult, screen hard to see in daylight

  • Alf reviewing Limited 4dr Double Cab 4WD 5.0 ft. SB (2.4L 4cyl Turbo 8A)

Love the vehicle. Dislike the lack of trained salespeople to explain the vehicle's features

  • Sean reviewing TRD Sport 4dr Double Cab 5.0 ft. SB (2.4L 4cyl Turbo 8A)

In Hawaii, Toyota is king and Tacoma's are the most popular trucks. One of the reasons is that they are built to last (200,000 mileage club) and they hardly loose value. Their depreciation rate is minimal in Hawaii. I recently bought my 3rd Toyota Tacoma. I had an 03', then 15' Taco and now 2024 Tacoma Sport. I went for the premium package with all the bells and whistle to include heated and cooling seats, & 14" screen. I love the look of the Underground gray. I am a true fan of this truck with all of its updates inside and out, I get honks and shaka's everywhere I go.

  • Jason Papillion  reviewing TRD Sport 4dr Double Cab 4WD 5.0 ft. SB (3.5L 6cyl 6M)

Having had two previous tacoma's I knew what I wanted. I got another with only 5k miles and it is just what I wanted. Love the product.
