If the USB port in the Honda CR-V suddenly stops working and there is no power reaching a connected device, it may be a result of a faulty port. Replacing the USB port in the CR-V costs less than $20 for parts only but does require technical expertise. Another common reason for USB malfunctions is related to the intricate software of the Honda's infotainment system and stereo. To address this issue, reset the car's Audio settings to factory defaults by navigating to "Home", then "Settings", selecting "System", and then "Factory Data Reset". After completing these steps, turn the vehicle off and on. Keep an eye out for any "firmware update" notifications and make sure to clean the USB port using compressed air to remove any debris that could be affecting its performance.
