The Kia Sportage is equipped with a standard backup camera. If the camera is not functioning, there are three main reasons why this might be the case. The first possibility is that the camera has been damaged by debris on the road and will require repair. The second reason could be a faulty power wire. The most common issue is that the fuse powering the system may have burned out. You can find the fuse box located to the left of the steering wheel, beneath a removable panel - look for the seam. Fuses are inexpensive and easy to replace, so you should be able to fix it yourself for around $10 to $15.
I'm not sure which fuse is for the camera. I checked the diagram, but couldn't find it.
My device is displaying a black screen with a three-color grid on it. Does this indicate that it is receiving power? All I can say is that it was functioning perfectly, but the following morning it stopped working.
What if it ends up being effective but in an unpredictable manner? There are also some odd occurrences, such as occasionally sending a jolt through the audio system when starting the car.
If the camera in your Kia Sportage isn't functioning, it could be due to a blown fuse or a wire that has frayed and become disconnected.
