If the Volkswagen CC's key fob isn't working, it could be due to disconnected wires, a dead battery, or needing to program/reprogram the key. To replace the battery, separate the two plastic sides of the fob and install a new 3-volt battery. To manually open the car door, find the small cap covering the keyhole and use the VW key instead of the remote buttons. For vehicles with push-button start, the key is hidden within the fob and can be accessed by pressing a release button to use on the door. To reset or reprogram with a master, press the unlock or lock button on the new device. Unlock and lock your VW with the master, and the new device should be reset.
The key fob for my 2020 Volkswagen CC has stopped functioning, likely because the buttons are not aligned correctly or the battery in the key fob needs replacing.
