Why isn't my Lincoln's remote start functioning properly?

The remote start feature in a Lincoln won't function if the ignition is turned on or if the alarm is activated. The most common reason for a remote starter not working is a defective or absent hood switch. This component is placed beneath the vehicle's hood to stop the engine from starting when the hood is open. The remote control on your key fob runs on batteries, which may weaken over time, reducing its range and eventually dying. To replace the key's battery, you can visit a nearby auto parts shop.
