To activate the fog lights on a MINI Cooper, first, locate two buttons on the driver's dashboard marked with a lamp symbol, near the main dial for controlling the headlights. To turn on the rear fog light, switch the dial to the headlight position by rotating it two clicks clockwise and then press the lower FL button once. A notification will display on the speedometer indicating that the rear fog light is on. For the front fog lights, press the top button located alongside the headlight controls, and another indicator light will turn on. To deactivate either light or both, simply press the buttons again. Depending on the manufacturing year, the MINI Cooper's fog lights require H8, H7, or H11 bulb replacements.
