If you have a 2008 Toyota Highlander, you'll need a 64mm oil filter wrench with 14 flats or flutes to remove the oil filter. The commonly used tool for this is the TOY640, available online for about $25. To use the TOY640, you will also need a 24mm socket and ratchet. Additionally, you'll need a ¼ inch drive with a 10mm socket and ratchet, as well as a 14mm socket or wrench. Other standard tools required for an oil change include a funnel, oil catch pan, and the replacement oil and filter. To access the oil filter, you'll have to take out the two 10mm bolts securing a small plastic panel under the vehicle on the passenger side. Afterwards, the oil change procedure is similar to a standard one, with the drain plug requiring a 14mm socket or wrench.
