The 2000 VW Beetle features a starter relay located in the engine compartment of your car. To access it, first stand in front of the vehicle and use the prop arm on the left side of the compartment to safely open the hood. Scan the front area of the bay near the battery where you'll locate the fuse box. Inside, you will see various fuses and switches. Refer to the code on the label attached to the cover of the fuse box to identify the starter relay within.

I have a 2002 Beetle that will start by being jumped and runs, even with a new battery. However, when I try to start it with the key, it only clicks and the dashboard lights start flashing. What could be causing this issue?
