You can locate the starter in your 2013 Ford Explorer below the engine, connected to the transmission bell housing. To find it easily, follow the positive lead from your battery; it will be directly linked to the starter. The best way to access it is to lift your Explorer with a jack and approach it from underneath, making it simpler to disconnect the engine wiring harness and then remove the bolts securing it to the block, allowing it to drop down (be cautious not to stand directly under it and remember to support it when it comes down!). Despite being an older model, O'Reilly still has a compatible part, the Ultimate Select Starter, N613369A, for $177. If you're open to a remanufactured one, you can typically save about $45 off the price.
