If you own a Chevrolet Aveo and are having trouble finding the speed sensor for your car, don't worry - it's actually pretty easy to locate and will only take up about 5 to 7 minutes of your time. The first step is to go to the front of your car, pop the hood, and use the prop arm on the passenger side to keep the hood up. Then, look towards the back left of the engine bay, near the right rear of the transmission. The speed sensor is usually mounted directly to the transmission there. If the sensor is faulty, you'll need to replace it, which will typically cost you between $30 to $70.
So, on most versions of this car, you can find the speed sensor situated in the transmission housing.
