The temperature sensor on a Chevy Equinox is located at the front of the engine bay on the radiator support bracket. It detects the air temperature around you. This is important for knowing the outside temperature and for the car's computer to adjust air-to-fuel ratios based on the air density. If the sensor is faulty, you might see incorrect temperature readings on your car's display.
The ambient air temperature sensor on the Chevy Equinox can be found at the front of the engine compartment, located underneath the hood.
It can be found at the bottom of the radiator support bracket and basically needs the entire front end of the car to be taken off to access it.
