In a Ford Transit, the MultiAxis Acceleration Sensor is situated under the carpet between the front seats. To reach the sensor, you'll need to remove the seats first. Before taking out the seats, it's important to disconnect the negative terminal of the battery to prevent any potential electrical issues. After you disconnect the battery, unplug the electrical connectors beneath the seats and unbolt the seat bases for removal. Shift the carpet back to reveal the sensor positioned at the center front of the dashboard, fastened to the floor. Disconnect the electrical connector linked to the sensor and then proceed to remove the bolts securing the sensor in place on the floor.
The multi-axis acceleration sensors in the Ford Transit are situated in the engine bay alongside the rotation sensor within the same housing.
