Spark plugs typically need replacement every 100,000 miles unless they are copper, in which case they should be replaced every 30,000 miles. Issues with the engine may arise, such as a loose gasket that needs to be tightened, a spark plug coming off causing engine problems, or oil leaks that require prompt repair. Engine overheating is a serious concern that could result in fires or the vehicle exploding. Excessive oil consumption may necessitate changing the oil earlier than anticipated.
