The 2014 Mazda3 has its coolant temperature sensor located in the coolant pipe situated below the air intake pipe and behind the right cylinder head. It is recommended to change the coolant every 60,000 miles. The air filter should be replaced every 15,000 to 30,000 miles. Spark plugs typically need replacement every 100,000 miles unless they are copper, in which case they should be replaced every 30,000 miles. Issues with the engine may arise, such as a loose gasket that needs to be tightened, a spark plug coming off causing engine problems, or oil leaks that require prompt repair. Engine overheating is a serious concern that could result in fires or the vehicle exploding. Excessive oil consumption may necessitate changing the oil earlier than anticipated.
