When the windshield washer is not functioning in a VW Caddy, the first thing I recommend checking is the washer fluid reservoir. If it's empty, there won't be any fluid reaching the sprayers. It's also important to inspect the hoses connecting the reservoir to ensure there are no leaks. If the fluid still doesn't work after that, I suggest examining the fuses for the pumps. If these fuses are blown, the pumps won't receive electricity and won't activate when you try to spray water on your windshield by pulling the handle.
